Best Zekrom Moveset Pokemon Go (2026 Updated)

Pokken Tournament DX isn’t exactly a “new” game; the original home version came out a few years ago for the Wii U, and if you’ve played it, you pretty much know what to expect. For those who are new to Pokken Tournament: It’s a 3D fighting game based on the Tekken engine, but more user-friendly – and, of course, altered to account for the fact that Pokemon can routinely launch ranged attacks of several different sorts.

The events of the game take place in the Ferrum region, rather than being set anywhere that’s been seen in the main series of Pokemon RPGs; rather than seeking out gyms to earn badges (or other challenges like Sun and Moon), you’re a “Battle Trainer” whose Pokemon partner competes in the Ferrum League’s one-on-one fighting tournaments under your guidance.

If you have the original Pokken Tournament, you pretty much already know what you’re getting. There are a few new additions to the roster, and everything is unlocked up front (as opposed to the first game, where you had most of the Battle Pokemon to choose from but most of the Support Pokemon were unlocked over time, among other things).

DX also introduces Daily Challenges and Team Battles; the former are exactly what they sound like, the latter let you pick a team of three Battle Pokemon and take on another team, King of Fighters style, until one team is all eliminated.

It also lets you do single-system two-player, mapping all of the necessary controls to a single Joy-Con per player, as well as supporting both online battles and local wireless networking. If you’re a fan of Pokemon and fighting games and you DON’T have the original Pokken Tournament, this is a really good game to pick up – being able to play it anywhere, any time, is a sweet feature.

If you DO have the original Pokken Tournament, I think DX is still worth picking up – but you may want to weigh that against how much you liked the first game, how much you want to play as the new Pokemon, and how likely you are to play it away from your TV at home.

This is a fighting game that is good for the casual player in that the moves are simple to deal with and the A. I. allows for you to press advantages while not just letting you win. It’s not a very challenging game like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter II where you have to master special moves and the A.

I. is able to figure out your combat style. In this case, it’s the kind of thing to play where as even the characters in the game point out, just to have fun. The style of the fighting and moves require some getting used to since, like Super Smash Brothers, a different combination of the direction pad and an attack button will end up with a different attack.

Also, different Pokemon have different ways of releasing the same kind of attacks. Negatives on the game is that this is not a Pokemon game proper. You just fight in the arena and nothing more. While it is, in my opinion, more fun than the Pokemon Stadium turned-based style, the game is best in short bursts since you don’t have much variety and you aren’t catching and training your own Pokemon, just using the roster that is there.

The roster is another negative, it’s very limited and Nintendo is planning on releasing new fighters as PAID DLC. For those that want to pay only once, this is severely limiting. If you want a fun fighting game that you can play on the fly just for the fun of it, this is a great game.

Of course, it’s also a great game for people who like to fantasize about being a Pokemon since you control the Pokemon directly. I’d recommend it.

I bought Pokken Tournament for the Switch to play with my 6 and 4 year old boys since we recently finished playing through Sun and Moon. Let me start off with a warning: This is a fighting game, not a typical Pokemon game.

We knew this going in but the boys were a little disappointed anyway. We’ve had a solid couple weeks of evenings playing this gorgeous game now. The menus, the arenas, the characters, the Pokemon, and the moves look crisp and beautiful.

Some of the text got blurry for my eyes but didn’t distract from play. The sound is great but the music got to the point where we would turn on the TV or some music of our own to listen to while we played.

The game itself is, at least for me and my kids, simple enough to really get into for a little while but we quickly found out favorite Pokemon to beat matches with easily against the computer. Fighting other people really makes the game a challenge and fun, except against button mashers.

My kids will build up their supers pressing the buttons wildly and then destroy opponents, which gets old quick playing against them. I’m not much of a fighting game guy and I’m sure I just haven’t figured out the correct characters with the counter moves for such strategies, but trouncing the little ones makes them quit as much as getting beaten by them makes me bored.

Bottom line: We’ve had a lot of fun playing since we bought it but are back to Zelda’s DLC after 2 weeks of evenings unlocking and leveling Pokemon fighters. Your mileage will vary!.

Very excited at first to have this. The package was a turn off. Look like it was the fakest thing ever. The color of the image was poor quality but I still have it a chance. Easy to connect will say that.

But when ever the Pokémon was in range it was supposed to alert me by vibrating. But Jesus mine sounded like it was broken inside and the screws where loose. Tried using the wrist band that came with it and for dear lord I couldnt get it on even with instructions.

Worked the first couple days just fine. Did notice that the catch rate was horrible 2/8 attempts but still. Comes down to a big community day for Pokémon and the freaking thing does not connect at all!!! Honestly not worth it at all!.

Pokemon Go Plus is a companion accessory for the hit mobile game Pokemon Go. Included in the box is a half-dollar sized Pokeball shaped bluetooth device with a plastic clip for a back, and a wrist band you can attach the device to if you’d prefer to wear it like a watch.

I don’t. Included inside the device is a fully charged watch battery, but a tiny screwdriver to remove the back and spare batteries are sold separately. When functioning correctly, the PoGo+ will alert you by vibrating and lighting up when there are nearby Pokemon or Pokestops in PoGo, and let you attempt to throw *ONE* Pokeball at new encounters.

One. And ONLY Pokeballs, so don’t discard them thinking the device will attempt to use Great or Ultra balls, because it won’t. The device prefers Pokemon to Pokestops, in other words, if both are in range, it will go through ALL the pokemon in range before it will attempt to spin the Pokestop.

If you’re attempting to fully clear a densely populated area downtown, you’ll likely still need to have your phone out to hit Pokestops while the device attempts to catch Pokemon for you. The device requires resyncing to your phone or tablet every hour.

I don’t know why. None of my other bluetooth accessories do this, it must be a function of the device or the PoGo itself. That all being said, it’s better than no help at all, especially in densely populated areas or when out for a jog.

However, if you’re not concerned with using OEM Nintendo parts, there is a better option. Search for an item called Pokemon Go-tcha. It’s off brand, but it’s much more stylish, feels sturdier and higher quality, *charges via USB*, **COSTS LESS**, and ***AUTOMATICALLY CATCHES POKEMON AND SPINS POKESTOPS*** I’m not getting paid to say this, but I recognize a superior product when I see one.

The game and the technology have been out for long enough that now you can do better than the Pokemon Go Plus.

While the Pokemon Go Plus was a great initial purchase recent changes to the App it relies on, by Niantic, have basically lowered the usability and value of this item by about 70%. I would originally have given the product 5 stars and highly recommended it, but in the current state due to changes to the App limiting its usability, reliability, and worth it’s very hard to say much positive.

In it’s original form, when a few bugs were fixed it was amazing. In the current form due to the app it’s underwhelming, unreliable and not worth the purchase price. Hopefully Niantic get their act together and fix the issues on their end, as it’s not technically anything wrong with the Plus – but does deeply impact it and that can’t be separated from this feedback.

Nintendo should be hugely disappointed at the level of support that Niantic are providing on the software side. This kind of partnership can’t work when one side is literally destroying the usability of a product behind their partner’s back.

Very disappointed as I bought a second for my wife before all the negative changes and now regret both purchases. A few specific problems – no longer stays connected reliably. No longer picks up Pokemon and Pokestops even at walking pace with reliability.

Will often pick up Pokestops only as you leave range, which points towards a syncing issue. Starts exhibiting problems well before battery levels reach a low enough level to need changing. Sometimes stays connected but won’t pick up ANY Pokemon or Pokestops.

Also registers ‘ghost’ Pokemon that don’t actually exist but cause false positives without showing up in the App Journal – which may waste Pokeballs. Overall very frustrating. Does usually track distances travelled (at walking pace) reasonably well, helping to save battery for hatching and buddy distances.

This is the only reason it’s more than one star.

One of the first games I bought for the Switch. This game is everything I wanted as to being able to control a Pokémon entirely and battle it out like how you see in the anime. You have a nice roster of great Pokémon to train and battle with.

You can level them up and adjust their stats to your play style. I recommend getting the DLC so that you can use Blastoise and Aeigislash.

Not too much of a learning curve, especially compared to most fighting games. No quarter-circles or Shoryuken inputs, just buttons and single directions to perform moves. The Phase system is new and might be confusing at first but feels pretty natural after a little while.

Good amount of content. All the fighters are unique and REALLY well adapted. I’m not disappointed in how any of them were handled. Definitely recommended. Split screen is terrible by the way, I’d say that’s the only significant flaw.

It’s ridiculously choppy and hard to see, I’m honestly not even sure why it’s included. This is fine though because you can still do single-screen play, one player has to be the “background” player but it’s not hard to get used to.

Besides that, this game is fantastic!.

Don’t get me wrong I love pokemon. However this game kind of made me very upset. It’s the exact same game as sun and moon except one difference. The fact you can travel in the wormholes. Don’t get me wrong that aspect was very fun but it felt as if this should have been the game that should have came out vs having two different games.

It’s aggravating because it felt like they didn’t put enough in the first game that this should have been added in the first game and they just wanted to make more money by making the same exact game.

The games fun but it’s aggravating to buy this one and see that it’s the exact same as the first sun and moon game except for one difference. I was thinking oh maybe a few more differences but nope just one different aspect and it’s honestly not worth getting it.

Even though this game has been out for a very long time now it’s something I hope I don’t see again from pokemon. It’s just like black and white with black 2 and white 2. It feels like they just wanted more money vs just spending a bit more time on the game before release to add in all aspects.

Ill only say that I didnt really appreciate the old stick of LipBalm that came free of charge. Otherwise, On top of getting this for a better price than what I wouldve had to pay two years ago when it was being sold in EBgames or wherever, I hit the absolute jackpot with the number of Pokmon that was stored on the game, not only that but rare ones that cant normally be obtained in the newer games on the Switch and such.

Getting this game was an absolute WIN for me, feels great! (100s of Pokmon, probably 25% of them are special, incredibly rare, and just straight up non-obtainable).

Great addition for any Pokemon fan! Although, keep in mind that the beginning portion of the game is very similar to Sun/Moon’s [From what I know, the after story is amazing!]. I originally purchased Ultra Moon, but decided to swap my game with my friend– so now I own Ultra Sun.

I’m really enjoying the game esp with battling, trading, customizing, collecting my ‘mons, the music, etc. This is a GREAT game to jump into if you haven’t played Pokemon for a while! In addition, the new characters are interesting (Lillie and Gladion) and the storyline has a plot twist [Unless they changed it for this version, hmm].

Anyhow, recommend ! I’ve been a Pokemon fan for years, and I love what they did here!.

To make it very clear, I am a long-time Pokemon fanatic. Ever since I was a child, Pokemon has held a special place in my heart. From playing the games, watching to the Anime series, to collecting toys and Pokemon Cards.

I cannot explain the excitement and anxiety I have until a new game releases- each new release sets my expectations HIGH!!! Pokemon Sword and Shield did NOT disappoint me in the slightest. I was really pleased to finally play on an update console with the new style graphics.

Big tick on it being aesthetically pleasing. I was immediately impressed. Controls as always are simple, and easy to quickly pick up for anyone, even children and novice gamers. You definitely get that British feel in the Galar region (and this is coming from someone who lives in the UK).

A few things were a little off, but I’ll overlook it- such as cringey dialect and phrases. Not sure if that was intentional or not. Was a bit weird. But again, not a hugely irritating factor. Gameplay for battles was no different to other Pokemon games, but I do like that.

Nostalgic, and you’re able to dip right into it. But the visuals and animations always have some surprises. The Dynamax feature is reallyyyy nice. I wasn’t expecting to see some of the visual Dynamax changes to the Pokemon- which was fantastic.

There were a lot of different, and new features in Sword and Shield- at first I’m usually skeptical about these as they truly do make or break a game. Maybe not for everyone, but for me, I do like familiarity in Pokemon.

Great to see new Pokemon introduced, including Legendary ones. It’s a nice addition to existing pokemon fans and new ones. The Wild Area and Dynamax dens are cool updates to the gameplay, easy way to level up and obtain Dynamax Pokemon for yourself! I actually really enjoyed the Camping feature, and extremely thankful to have the ability to play and level up friendship with your Pokemon.

One of my favourite features in the franchise over the years have been Pokemon Amie, and contest shows- although the camping play wasn’t as fun as these, it definitely is needed. I could honestly go on and on about this game, but I’d rather leave it for yourself- you won’t regret this game!!! Just don’t go and spend all your money on fancy outfits like me!!!! My guilty pleasure.

This game is genuinely amazing, if you like any other main line Pokémon games you’ll love it. The graphics are incredible and it’s really immersive. It brings a new mechanic, Dynamaxing which adds a new layer of strategy to the series but isn’t overwhelming at all.

There are a few very little annoyances, like no voice acting for major cut-scenes and events happening off-screen but honestly it isn’t a big deal, there are some spectacular cut-scenes in the game and so much to do that the little annoyances definitely shouldn’t (and didn’t in my experience) negatively impact the game-play or story.

It’s still a very fun and beautiful game with so much cool stuff happening. The DLC’s are definitely well worth it, the Isle of Armor adds new Pokémon to get and places to explore with a mini-story and cool legendary and sights.

It’s not a huge place but there are some activities to do and is still worth it. The Crown Tundra is honestly a must get if you want to play this game for a very long time. There are stunning views, 8 new legendaries, a cool story and a way to get most previous legendaries with fairly high shiny rates (not mythical Pokémon though).

I’ve had this game for about 2 weeks and already played 80+hours and I’m looking forward to playing it more. Even after all the stories I still plan on getting shiny Pokémon and possibly playing online.

There is also a lot of active people trading via Pokémon Home (which is free) so you can get the other starters and exclusive Pokémon you are missing from the other version for your Pokédex. You can also send Pokémon from Pokémon Go to Sword/Shield to help you fill the Pokédex.

I honestly recommend this game so much, it’s been so much fun to play and I’m basically addicted to it. It’s absolutely stunning.

I got this game for myself right after it came out and I play it all the time! My sister in law came over a few weeks ago and decided to create her own profile on our docked switch and we all played my version of sword and had a great time, so for Christmas, my wife and I decided to get my SIL a switch lite and this game as well as Animal Crossing New Horizons and let me just say it is a great experience! There is a lot of backlash from hardcore fans who want Nintendo to go in a completely different route for the new Pokémon games, but as someone who has been playing since 2007, I think it’s one of the best games they’ve put out so far and the DLC really added to it! The main storyline is relatively easy and it’s obvious that it is trying to appeal to a younger and newer audience, which I personally don’t mind and completely understand.

I think for those specific reasons, I was able to not only get my wife, but also my SIL interested in the game. It has great new Pokémon for the region and the wild area is such a new and cool thing to explore and they really expand on it even more in the DLCs which I personally think are 100% worth the extra $30! Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing are two new features in this game as well as opposed to old games and overall I would say it’s just new and fun! It has hints of the old games and some nostalgia, but for the most part, it’s a new story and it has something very new to a Pokémon game and that’s how user friendly it is for online play.

To me, it is a fantastic game, I’m probably gonna buy shield for myself soon and I would recommend this to quite literally anyone. You could have never played a Pokémon game in your life and know nothing about it and still have fun with this game or to the opposite side, you could have been playing since red and green came out and still have a blast on this expansive and interactive game on Nintendo’s newest and arguably greatest (thus far) console to date!.

(Avoiding too many spoilers) An open world Pokemon game is something us fans have wanted for many years now. To see it realized is like a dream come true as it really captures the feeling of exploring to catch Pokemon in a wide world.

Being able to stealthily sneak up to Pokemon behind objects or even in tall grass yourself in real time adds a whole new and exciting dynamic to catching em’ all. If you are unsuccessful, you may have to battle them in turn-based strategy mode (or just start in turn-based) for the catch or run and try again by sneaking.

There are “Alpha” Pokemon which are hilariously big, high level, powerful and aggressive which make for some interesting challenges to catch and/or dodge. If you don’t get a laugh at least once from these encounters due to the shenanigans that can ensue, I’d be very surprised.

There are numerous positive balance changes to the game as well such as the removal of entry hazards like Stealth Rock and Spikes in favor of making them into more of a multi-damage move like Wrap, revamping the power of moves and tweaks to the speed mechanic to make once-self-crippling moves like Hyper Beam more viable.

Those new speed mechanics also come into play with the “Strong Style” and “Agile Style” which add a lot of depth to the planning by changing move power and turn counts. You’ll also find there are no held items which sounds like it could be a detriment, but actually likely improves balance quite a bit because they always acted like free turns to set up something and not all Pokemon could utilize held items equally.

You can still find past hold items to evolve Pokemon like Metal Coat, but you can’t have a Pokemon hold them. You just use them like they’re evolution stones. The game does have some aspects which kind of make it seem incomplete though.

Surprisingly there is no option to battle other players. Yep, all those balance changes and no real way to play it out. Which is a shame. Maybe you’ll be able to in an “Arceus 2” or they can update the game to add it in.

But it feels like a big missed opportunity to play a completely different meta. You can trade with other players though. There are also a couple of odd oversights which hinder the experience that a smidge of polish could’ve helped out such as not being able to track more than one quest at a time, reliance of other Pokemon game save files being on your Switch to unlock a few more quests (which do lead to exclusive Pokemon), and needing to pay for online nowadays to even do trades when it used to be free in past games.

(Local is still free though. ) You’ll also find out there is less Pokemon than even Generation 2 at 242 of em’. Very odd considering the amount of land there is to fill. Overall you won’t want to miss this game though as it’s a unique and fun entry to the franchise despite the minor shortcomings.

5/10 This is an awful game objectively if you compare it to any title other than another Pokémon game. However like I said, it’s the best Pokémon game in many many years, but you’ve got blinders on if you think this game is even close to “good.

” It’s okay at best. I would only recommend it to someone who absolutely adores Pokémon and is willing to accept glaring flaws and issues. Riding Pokémon like Wyrdeer is a clunky nightmare. Most of the time you jump with him he won’t make jumps, you’ll clearly see that he made it 3 feet over the edge you want to get up but he’ll miraculously fall down almost every time.

He is the antithesis of fun. You can prove again and again with him that this games development is mediocre at best, it isn’t designed for open exploration. Catching Pokémon is fun the first 50 times, and then the game asks you to catch or battles or feed or abuse every Pokémon some inordinate amount of times before it allows you to even finish the game.

Battling is fairly seamless but you feel more like a handheld toddler in a theme park than ever before. Approximately half the moves are just not present in the game. Items and abilities are done away with as well as online battling which is simply a disservice to a game that’s only alive today because of the competitive battling scene.

Exploring sucks. The game is sliced into 5 different explorable chunks that range entirely forgettable to gross to look at. Nothing about this game looks good other than the Pokémon models which are mostly reused from Sword and Shield.

I’ve hear a lot of people say they don’t care about graphics on the switch, but I would hope you aren’t okay with going back to Wii era visuals when Nintendo has proven you can make a beautiful open world experience with Breath of the Wild.

There is 0 stylistic intent in this game. It simply looks awful. Pokémon is all about music for me. This game couldn’t be a bigger let down for it. After remaking Diamond and Pearl in the horribly cheap way they did a few months ago, I was hoping some of the redone sound track would make it into Arceus.

Unfortunately they’ve reduced the sound to loops of elevator music and disparate jazz notes. All in all 5/10 is more than fair for this game. I certainly hope that the Pokémon company doesn’t make the mistake of going back to the ancient style of Pokémon games that they haven’t been able to improve on for 20 years.

This is the first step in the right direction since coliseum. Pokémon is literally the most valuable video game franchise of all time, I hope Nintendo acquires enough wherewithal to treat the games as such.

Let’s hope that they don’t blow it on the next one.

It’s got everything that I found lacking/disappointing about Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The world building is great but story a bit bland (par for the course, but you know). It reimagines a lot of aspects of the Pokemon formula almost from the ground up, and the resulting gameplay loop is very fun and engaging.

I wish the wild Pokemon behaviors were a bit more complex, but there are some unique and interesting interactions to be had with each species. Animations are generally a huge step up from recent Pokemon titles, with some exceptions due to the wider variety of environments they’re being put in (slopes, stairs, etc.

can sometimes cause buggy looking animation). This is the first game where I truly feel compelled to catch em all and fill out the pokedex, since it’s now built into the core gameplay loop, with increment rewards and a unique tasklist to complete for each species.

The music is great, featuring track remixes from the gen 4 titles; it ranges from the gentle, open-world ambiance of games like Breath of the Wild to the intense, fast paced music familiar to the series, all with inspiration from traditional Japanese music.

While imperfect, the game as a whole is a brilliant new direction for the series.

When they announced Pokémon Lets Go! I was skeptical at first, with all the forums and such explaining what it might be and how the game would be like. It is a completely different game from the mainline ones that we are all so fond of for sure.

Some hate it and some love it, I have grown to love it just as much as the others in the mainline. There are many very noticeable differences including no wild encounters when in tall grass, caves and floating on the water with your Pokémon.

That alone made some people hate Lets Go. For Let’s Go there are two games just like the mainline games 1-8, Pikachu and Eevee are your choices for the starters. In Lets Go your buddy Pokémon Stand on your head (Eevee) or on your shoulder (Pikachu) and you can have another Pokémon from your party follow you around when you take them out of their pokeball.

Pokémon Lets Go is a Gen 1 game that can also connect to your Pokémon Go game on your phone or tablets. You can trade from your PoGo game to Let’s Go but not the other way around. Surprisingly the two, Pikachu and Eevee, have some major differences in themselves.

In Let’s go Pikachu and Eevee there are game specific Pokémon you can get in each version. In order to get the ones from the game you have to trade with someone who has the other or trade them from your PoGo account if you have them.

(Mentioned in photo attached) On top of that the only way to get the legendary Mew is by purchasing the Pokeball controller which is $50 in USA and to trade it from the pokeball when you purchase it new.

Pikachu and Eevee both also have special moves that they can learn too. Pikachu for its special moves can learn electric and water moves where Eevee can learn a vast majority of move types because of the many evolutions it has.

Unlike the mainline games you can NOT evolve your buddy (starter) Pokémon at all unless you hack it which is not recommended if you plan on playing online mode. The great thing about this game being on the Nintendo switch is that you can play in TV mode or in handheld where in the previous mainline games you could only play in handheld with the gameboy or DS systems.

On the handheld you can play with your buddy and change its hairstyles! In handhelds when you catch Pokémon you use the tilt sensor instead of dock mode where you have to use one switch controller like the old Wii Systems.

I would highly recommend this game for someone waiting on the Gen 8 coming out later in 2019 or for someone looking for something slightly different from the mainline.

Alright so I’ll admit; after coming from Pokemon: Sword/Shield to Let’s Go: Eevee, it was an adjustment and I was not super into the game at first. The throwing style threw me off which also encouraged me to never play with the switch connected to the TV and only play handheld.

The storyline seemed more meant for children but after beating the first two gyms, I got more into it. I loved the classic 150 Pokemon that you’re able to catch (even though about 20 of those you have to find someone online to trade with you because they’re only exclusive to the Pikachu version, I suggest Reddit), and the graphics were amazing especially on the OLED switch.

I loved the close relationship that you develop with Eevee and that you can pet it and give it treats. The gyms get especially harder so you do need to know your types and what they are weak/strong against.

I loved being able to catch Mewtwo in the end but wish that Poke Ball Plus(es) that originally came with the game weren’t such a rare item and so expensive to come by these days because you can’t obtain Mew as a mystery gift anymore.

There is a solid storyline after beating the Elite Four and I ESPECIALLY love that you can ride around on Charizard/Dragonite/Aerodactyl, it’s loads of fun and makes traveling way quicker. Overall, once you get into the game it is loads of fun and I can honestly say that I enjoyed this game as much as Sword and Shield.

Now to wait for Gen. 9 to come out at the end of 2026.

Had great fun playing this game. This was my first experience playing Pokemon on the Switch and it was much more enjoyable than my Nintendo 3DS experience. I enjoyed being able to see the Pokemon in the wild rather than just tripping over them suddenly.

It made picking and choosing which ones to go after much more enjoyable. I also loved that the Pokemon were “actual size”, as in Onyx was HUGE compared to a smaller Pokemon. Sound quality was well made and even sounded good through small in-ear headphones.

Just playing for a few hours here and there in the evenings, I was able to complete the game in about a month. Not including the “after game” extras. Overall a very laidback game to play.

This game is a really good example of a great Pokemon game. The open world aspect and the wilds I really enjoyed and the diversity of the Pokemon available to be caught is fantastic. I loved the gym missions and how different all the challenges were.

The characters and story development was great. I’ve had fun playing through the entire game and had an experience of gaming I haven’t had for years. The only major issues were with challenge. The last Pokemon original game I played was Diamond/Platinum.

I felt there is a lot more challenge in the game without the shared XP system, I did not feel much challenge when battling other trainers or gym leaders due to all my Pokemon being high levels without training them.

However, I appreciate that this is done to keep the player moving, instead of stagnating in one area. I was let down by the rival picking a starter Pokemon that was weak against my starter, giving little problems throughout the rest of the game when battling.

The rival as a whole is not really a rival, he too nice to you throughout the game and makes you feel bad for beating him constantly. Another issue is frame rate problems in the wilds when there are multiple Pokemon on the screen at the same time.

However, these issues last 1second and then gameplay is normal. From the comments above it may seem like there are lots of issues with the game but I could have easily have not detailed these. This game is brilliant and the issues above do not take away from what is a great game.

I recommend this product. Overall this game is fantastic and a great addition to the franchise: 8. 5/10.

This is an absolutely amazing back. I have used gerachis previously. Normally I had to pay way more apiece than the cost of this box. On top of that you also get the rest of the cards and now that I am playing the online version of Pokemon this box has been invaluable!!.

Boy am I glad you can still buy this in Canada. Better than any league deck so far that’s for sure. They feel like a complete deck right out of the box (There is some small tweaks you can make). What are you waiting for? Buy it now!.

I like many others grew up playing pokemon and have continued to support the franchise as an adult. This game adds a few updates like the wild area that have not been done before in Pokemon. These changes are nice but the truth is that this series has been glacial in its updates and feels and often looks like a game from 10 years ago.

This series needs drastic changes to rival any premier modern RPG game from this generation but sadly seems doomed to continue to coast on its name value. I hope we eventually get to see a version of Pokemon that feels next gen.

I would reccomend this for kids or huge fans of the franchise, if like me you have felt burned out by the last few of these you may want to consider skipping this one.

If you enjoyed the original 64 game, you’ll have a blast with this one! Like the original game there are plenty of puzzles to figure out and chain events to trigger, like luring a pokemon to a specific spot for something unique to happen, and this one has a few added features for better quality of life and replayability! It brings a day and night cycle, and research levels for each setting.

The path taken and environment are pretty much identical, but the placement and behaviors of the pokemon will change as your score raises higher. (Don’t worry about missing anything! You can go back to previous levels before you select the stage!) There are also cues for when your picture lands a good score in one of the point categories, like nailing a specific pose or getting the pokemon centered just right.

Additionally on the quality of life changes, there’s an actual list of hints for the special events you can trigger. There’s enough throwback references to bring on the nostalgia, (oh how I missed those floppy Magikarps!) and so, so many new pokemon to make it feel fresh and exciting.

As for the environmental detail, the game is gorgeous! Pokemon under the water have that ‘displaced’ lighting feel, and there are layers to the environment where pokemon can be hiding, sometimes hidden so well you get just a second or two to snap a picture before they’re gone.

For those who are new to pokemon snap or to pokemon in general, it may not feel *quite* as magical as it does to us nostalgia buffs. Taking the nostalgia aspect out of the equasion, the game is like a cartoony, warm and casual safari picture taking game.

Being stuck on a one-way track might make it a little “meh” for those looking for something more “open world adventure” but for others the one-way track can bring a feeling of challenge to the game; you’ve got to react quick when something happens to get that perfect shot! The storyline and characters may make the game seem a little on the childish side, but keep in mind that it *IS* a pokemon game; these aren’t lions hunting down gazelle for dinner, they’re fun and unusual creatures in a bright and colorful cartoon world.

I played Pokemon Snap on the N64 only a couple of times, but really enjoyed it back then, probably because the very concept of the game format was radically different from anything else I had played, but it was fun.

It’s been too long since I played the original version, and given my limited experience, I cannot make comparisons between this and the original version. The concept is still fun and original, even in today’s video game environment.

Ultimately, you are moving through different landscapes trying to catch the best photo you can of Pokemon in the wild, not unlike if you went on a bird-watching adventure and trying to catch birds up close and posing perfectly.

The storyline is somewhat necessary, but really seemed to slow down the game. It feels like there is more to it than is necessary to play the game. I just kept feeling like I want to skip and move on.

The controls are configurable, and I’m still trying different configurations to find the one that works best for me, but some controls, like rotating around from your current position, are hyper-sensitive and hard to get just right.

However, practice makes this much easier. I’m not deep enough into the game to make an overall judgement call, but so far, I have not grown bored with the game, although if you prefer titles with more action, this one probably will have you getting bored quickly.

New Pokemon Snap is a return for the dormant 21 year old Pokemon Snap spinoff series, and what a return it is! Fans of Pokemon have waited years for a true sequel to the original, quirky Snap N64 game, and this Switch sequel does not disappoint, for the most part.

It is amazing to see so many true to size Pokemon (over 200 across all 8 generations) in their real life habitats, coexisting and interacting with other Pokemon. Using the camera to take pictures, throwing fluffruit and illumina orbs, scanning, and using the Pokeflute, brings back memories of the N64 game, while still remaining engaging enough for newcomers.

The game is overflowing with content (as well as supported by a free DLC drop) and the chase to catalogue each Pokemon and complete requests to get pictures of crazy Pokemon behaviors is truly exciting and satisfying.

My one qualm about New Pokemon Snap is the lack of Pokemon evolutions (like in the original); if you’re an old school fan returning for the nostalgia, you might miss these, but it’s not a game breaker.

Whether you are a new or old fan of Pokemon, if you are looking for something different and unique outside of the standard catch and battle ’em all, New Pokemon Snap has you covered. There’s truly nothing else like it in the franchise.

I used to have my original white 2, bought it on release day with black 2 (i was the guy who had to have both versions). A couple years down the road, we had relatives over and my cousins completely thrashed my room.

All my stuff was either on the floor, or covered in soda. My manga was covered with pizza slices. At least my games were ok… until i noticed white 2 and black were no longer in their DS cases… But thankfully i was able to get them back because of you guys! I’ll admit, I’m a little newer to Pokemon. I did play this game for the N64 back in the day and that was a fun game! This one starts off very similar. It’s fun taking action shots as the camera is moving.

Unfortunately, that’s where the fun ended for me. It was a little too repetitive having to play the same level time and time again and not advancing to new parts of the board. Eventually I played the same jungle level at night so much that I ejected the game and never went back.

only to later turn this in and exchange it for Mario Party Superstars. Long story short – for Pokemon completists only. Fun don’t get me wrong. but too slow to want to stick with it.

I didn’t play the original Pokemon Snap much but wanted to try this new one after getting back into the series recently. What I found was a fun and well made game that compliments the main series. The game has a number of courses where you have a limited amount of time to take pictures of various Pokemon, with the goal of snapping certain types pictures, often by interacting with the Pokemon.

I really like how the courses have different routes and that there are night and day versions of each one that change up which Pokemon you’ll see. The game looks great and is very polished, but is best played in short bursts.

Also the game is kind of pricey for what it is, although Nintendo has released updates with additional courses that helps with that.

This is everything I wanted from the remakes, I love it. Whether this is your first journey in the Sinnoh region or you’re reliving childhood adventures, you will love this game! All the charm of the original games with some gorgeously upgraded graphics.

My son loves it. Great price, used a gift card and flybuys then paid the rest. Easy and delivered. No issues.

IšverstiShow in original languageAs a long-time fan of the Pokémon series, I, like many others, was extremely excited for this installment to the arsenal of games, especially after the previous games (Sword and Shield) that brought more disappointment than enjoyment.

While Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl did not fully reach my expectations, they were definitely good. The games are fun and enjoyable, but far from challenging. There is a friendship mechanic in battle that makes Pokémon you use frequently begin to land stronger hits occasionally, dodge enemy attacks, remove debuffs from themselves, or even survive attacks that would normally knock them out.

However, the frequency of these makes it feel like cheating because the player is the only one who ever gets to do this, and it robs the player of the feeling of accomplishment when they want to strategize.

The games can still include this, but it should be a feature that can be turned on or off, but it is mandatory. Another issue is the following Pokémon. The game has a feature where you can have a Pokémon accompany you while you explore the world, but the Pokémon are sometimes sized inaccurately or have almost completely idle walking and running animations.

For an example, the Pokémon Rayquaza, a sky dragon that is 23 feet long, appears like a coiled-up garden snake that is almost perfectly still as it hovers behind the player. Furthermore, the animations are far from stellar.

They follow the trend of the previous 3D installments of the series, with carbon-copy animations with different effects for different moves. Despite these flaws, the games are exceedingly enjoyable to play.

I have loved the selection of cool and iconic Pokémon to play the game with, and the exploration has been smooth. When these games were announced, I was afraid that I would be robbed of a good experience in the region the games take place in, but after having played the vast majority of what it has to offer, I feel quite satisfied.

Der männliche Spielercharakter sieht ein wenig seltsam aus, aber das ganze Spiel verdient deshalb keine schlechte Bewertung. Ich beziehe mich jetzt auf andere Benutzerbewertungen, warum sollte man ein super gutes Spiel ruinieren, indem man es von Grund auf ändert? Wenn man nicht genau das gleiche Spiel mit aktualisierter Grafik und ein paar Verbesserungen (die den Original Spielen treu sind) spielen will, dann sollte man auch kein Remake kaufen.

Well, theyre right. Its not. I knew and wanted that going into it, but if youre looking for something original, this aint it. Try the new Legends Arceus game for a fresh open world take on Pokmon. But for those of us looking to relive those hours spent chugging away at the game with the little 8-bit style graphics on DS for Dialga and the Pokmon league, this is for you.

The graphics got a nice upgrade and so did the Grand Underground. Theres a bit more to do down there and its useful for catching unique Pokmon and leveling up. You can also have your Pokmon follow you around like in the Lets Go games.

You no longer have to always have a pokmon on your team who knows a useless move like Cut or Defog just to get around. And most importantly, leveling up got WAY easier since they implemented a whole-team EXP gain from each battle.

In nearly every other way, though, the game is the same. Overall I enjoyed this game. Maybe not as much as I was hoping (maybe I replayed it too recently on DS and now Im kind of over it), but it did deliver exactly what I asked for in a very slightly upgraded package that fixed a few of the things that made the old game cumbersome.

Good for old players and those new to D/P alike. This will always be my childhood game and Im happy to have such a faithful version to play on my switch.

The game is really fun! It’s a classic Pokemon game, meaning you are a trainer that is designated a starter Pokemon and must venture out to defeat several gym leaders to become the champion in the Pokemon league.

Instead of random encounters, you will now see Pokemon or a “!” when you are near an encounter, therefore they can now be avoided more easily. Pros: -fun and easy to pick up for all ages -multiplayer options like online battles, dynamax “raid” style battles -camping creates a dynamic where you can heal out in the wild and increase Pokemon stats and levels -portable or docked modes -pokeball plus support (not as controller) -you can play with one hand! Great for injured, Veterans, disabled! Cons: -much too easy.

Now all Pokemon gain experience in your party even without experience share. Most trainers encountered only have one Pokemon. I’ve not been sent back to nearest Pokemon center once! -does not include all Pokemon in the pokedex.

No excuses! -cheap Galarian variant Pokemon -DLC. It’s $30 for the expansion pass, an extra 50% of the cost of the game, to play about an extra 20% more content, all of which used to be included in the mainline titles as post game content.

Not anymore. Pay up! You won’t even see all of the new generation Pokemon without the pass! You can’t evolve some of the Pokemon you catch in the game without the pass! -Expansion pass is not for both games! You must pay $60 to get both expansion passes! What used to cost you $39 for each game ($120 for all three versions each generation excluding x and y, black and white) about $120 total is now $180! Oh, and you don’t get 3 different copies of the game that will grow in value! Eventually they’ll close servers and the $60 you spent will disappear and not grow to $300 in value like say Pokemon emerald did.

-tiny, linear mainline map. Less open world than gen 3. Sad. Neutral: -no voice acting. Everything must be read, which is great for helping kids learn better reading comprehension, but in 2019 and 2026 seems WAAAAAY outdated.

-pokemon still make midi noises. A giant dynamax Pokemon that sounds like a pager/dial up tone is supposed to be intimidating? -clumsy controls. One handed mode will not allow you to rotate camera in wild area.

-graphical capabilities could have been much better optimized. This looks way outdated and switch hardware isn’t an excuse. Have you seen The Witcher 3 on switch? Doom? BOTW? It can handle higher fidelity.

Do they really expect me to shell out $30/$60 for the expansion passes when I’ve already bought both games? Overall it’s just okay, but i hope they learn from these mistakes. If not, this is my last time investing into Pokemon unless it’s the old stuff for collection.

This same review will be posted for shield, where the only difference is the legendary and some swapped gym leaders and trainers, very very miniscule Pokemon variation.

I think Sword and Shield makes some good improvements on previous games in the series, while also making a number of bad choices. Pros:- Music is amazing as always- New wild Pokemon system is great- Graphics vs DS games looks awesome- UI improvements are very nice- Wild area is a nice innovation- Currys are cool- I like Gigantamax as an idea- I think the design/lore behind the new Pokemon/Galarian forms is really goodCons:- Story is very weak, there seems to be very little story at all.

Compared to Sun and Moon’s story which had a lot of interesting aspects and characters, this story feels quite empty. It’s basically just two kids go on a journey and then some bad stuff suddenly happens at the end.

It’s also a bit confusing in parts, like Eternatus just comes out of nowhere. Team Yell is a nice idea but I feel like you also need a ‘bad’ team as well. – It’s way too easy. I’ve played a lot of Pokemon games in my time and they’re usually not too hard to be honest but this was on a different level.

I usually struggle with the Elite 4 at least but in this they were pitifully easy. The champion was somewhat of a challenge but not too hard to be honest. It’s too easy to just roll entire teams throughout the game with just one Pokemon with a strong move.

I’m thinking it might be a good idea to introduce level scaling for trainers because people progress at different rates through the game. – Although the graphics are good, the world design is sometimes a bit bland.

Even though you have the more superior processing power from the Switch over the DS (which has been demonstrated by games like BOTW), it feels like that power isn’t being fully utilised. The town designs are still quite minimal and bland.

It feels like you could still add a lot more atmosphere. – The cutscenes are very hit and miss. Some of them are very cool and fun whereas others don’t really make sense or even seem unfinished. – The game seems unfinished or rushed in places.

Small things like the fact that there’s no animation for taking a flying taxi and other things where when I saw them I thought, “Huh, I thought there would be more to that. “In summary, it’s a good and fun game but it could be much better.

For the next one, I hope you try and keep the best bits from this one but return more to the form of the previous games.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an amazing video game mechanically. When it comes to mechanics and gameplay. Game Freak are seemingly masters at creating an addictive and highly re-playable gameplay loop that will have you yearning for more content in this already content rich video game.

The game’s soundtrack is just beautiful. Even just saying beautiful feels like an understatement. I can’t stop listening to basically every track in the game, there’s a healthy mix of nostalgic remixes that bring you back to the days of playing Pokémon Platinum Version on Nintendo DS which really makes you feel like you’re playing the game as you imagined it as a child and there’s a good amount of all new tracks that fit right into the setting and feel of the game.

Audio design is at it’s best in the series. Everything sounds like it fits right in and doesn’t disrupt the flow. Graphics are a mixed bag, because on one hand the game has made great improvements over previous titles, mostly in the animation department, human characters emote and react to their surroundings and what’s being said and with the Pokémon themselves, they are the most expressive they’ve ever been in and out of battle.

Another positive would be the artstyle. I’m a big fan of this game’s artstyle from the promotional material you could see the game was aiming to look like an old Japanese painting and it has that look to it in game so they accomplished it, and it overall just looks really nice.

On the other hand however textures are rendered at a low resolution which can be very distracting in docked mode. There are also other blemishes such as the terrain pop-in, resolution of shadows, shadow pop-in, lack of anti-aliasing, world geometry, draw distance when looking over the landscape as well as when gliding through the air.

These aspects are subpar or just bad. Better optimisation is needed for future games and hopefully future updates. There is a good amount of challenge however that challenge can easily be negated by veering off the beaten path and exploring the 5 biomes of Hisui to catch Pokémon.

With the lack of level scaling it makes the game for those that play in that way extremely easy. For the future, dynamic level scaling needs to be implemented to keep the challenge presented by the altered combat system and stat calculation difference.

Overall I think Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an amazing video game and is very much worth your time. Except for if video game visual graphics are what you play games for, then I wouldn’t recommend at all.

In general, it’s a welcome change to the tried-and-true Pokémon “trainer defeats X gyms in sequence” formula (which has grown a bit stale over time). I really like how seamless it is to go from battling to catching the critters now, and the much heavier emphasis on learning how they behave before approaching them.

It’s great to be something other than a trainer for once, and the research tasks ensure that you change up your team often and try many Pokémon instead of staying with the same team throughout the game.

The gameplay is excellent in general, though it could be improved by having more activities to do in the field, or by adding more variety to the type of terrain you find. I also think the level of challenge is better than in other Pokémon games, as you have to avoid being swarmed by many Pokémon at once, or being ambushed by an alpha Pokémon far above your level.

Enemies hit pretty hard, and distortions add a good bit of variety to the mix. Generally, you have to stay engaged with the game much more than before. My major gripe with this game is the graphics. Rather than the visual fidelity (which is on par with Sword/Shield), my issue is with the “pop-in” effect and the limited draw distance.

When running across the field, there is a very striking effect where NPCs, terrain and trees will just appear out of nowhere at times, or significantly change their geometry. I don’t mind simplistic graphics, but this does impact gameplay at times, especially when riding Pokémon.

Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles don’t seem to exhibit these issues.

Pros: Throwing pokeballs and catching pokemon outside of combat is great. The side quests are fun and largely non-intrusive. The main story is fun (even though the dialogue could use some work)I appreciate the new moves the pokemon can learn, and the variety of regional variants.

I appreciate how simple the crafting element in the game is, and how streamlined the process can be without the need of 100+ crafting materials. Cons: There are games with worse graphics (on a Gamecube) And I understand moving from largely pixel art to 3D can be hard, but there are a lot of pokemon designs that leave a lot to be desired.

Just look at the inside of Parasect’s claws. The music can be cacophonous and tinny, but there are a few more pleasant moments. The dialogue sounds are non-existent. Haven’t seen that in a video game in a long time.

I wouldn’t want fully spoken dialogue, and Animal Crossing speak just wouldn’t be suitable, and I’m glad they didn’t do anime gasps as well. But a few sounds would be fine, the susurration of speech would be acceptable.

Lastly, this game is kinda jank travel 3000. Have you seen the way the deer thing jumps and travels upwards? What is this, Skyrim? Why doesn’t the player have a jump/climb button? Why can’t they jump?Oh yeah, also, if you’re gunna have me do puzzles, DON’T TELL ME THE FREAKING ANSWERS BEFORE I’VE EVEN TRIED GAME!!.

I love playing Pokemon go. This game really reminds me of the app! I got lost in it and played for almost 5 hours on the day that I got it lol definitely worth your money!

The game is a good intro-game. I got it for my mom to slowly get her into pokemon. As an avid pokemon fan myself I still found it enjoyable and the story compelling, but it is certainly easier than what I grew up on.

The price was good. The game arrived sooner than expected which made my grandson very happy. He loves it. Not one complaint. Ive watched him play on his switch and tv and the graphics are great.
