14 Best Zafu And Zabuton Set (2023 Updated)

Been looking for a zafu to replace one I had lost. I have used this cushion daily while do my meditation and chakra clearing exercises. It is very comfortable to sit on for long periods and actually seems to put my spine in alignment.

I like the fact I can also take or put in the filling for comfort. Would recommend this product for those of you looking for great quality product.

This is the most perfect meditation cushion I’ve used. It’s firm enough to help maintain my posture, but gives enough to mold to my body. It’s equally good when sitting or kneeling on it.

A friend recommended I try her meditation/floor cushion with these words: “I’m a big girl & had this cushion for over 2 years & it still feels just like it did when I bought it. ” Did some research & went to Mukha Yoga to order.

Shipping was a bit slow but FREE. It was well worth the wait!! BEAUTIFUL COLOR (poppy), SUPER comfy (no fanny fatigue), & extremely well-made. Now I want one for every room!!.

The Zafu is filled with buckwheat that shapes to your body when you sit on it. Once it settles, it is not as thick or as stiff as you might imagine from the photo. If you are meditating in silence, the first couple times you can hear the buckwheat settling, but it stops.

It is extremely comfortable, but I just ordered a Zabuton to go with it. That is the pad that goes under the Zafu as padding for your feet and ankles which can start to be uncomfortable after awhile.

There are companies that sell sets, which may prove to be more cost effective, but I love this Zafu and the Zabuton is the exact one I wanted too (square from Barefoot Yoga). But the Zabuton cost an additional $70.

It’s not cheap, but the fancy stuff made for meditating gets me to actually do it, rather than just sitting on the floor or a blanket. And meditating doesn’t do anything unless you actually sit down to do it.

I spent way too long going back and forth on this shape or the traditional zafu style. I chose this one based on aesthetics. Which, for the record, hasnt always worked out well for me. HOWEVER. I am beyond pleased with the comfort of this.

When my butt is on it and Ive gotten all settled in, theres no difference in the way the two feel. Very sturdy shell and handle strap. The buckwheat hulls are in a separate liner inside the canvas outer.

I wanted a cushion for meditation b/c when I sit on the floor my butt hurts after a while and sometimes one leg falls asleep. This arrived (fast, btw!) and when I pulled it out of the box I wondered if the height of it would be weird to sit on.

It’s not! It is SO comfortable. It rights your posture and the filling molds to your butt! I could see myself using it to sit on the floor and watch television with too!.

I got this more for decoration than for yoga. Let’s be honest, we are on the go so much, we don’t have a lot of time for things like that. However, I sat down on it the other night and it’s comfortable.

It’s weighted so you don’t slide around when you sit. I can definitely see how this would be a great deal on a meditation pillow. I may purchase another, again, mainly for decorating purposes but, definitely a comfortable seat.

I took a chance on this oval zafu but wound up liking it a lot. It is very comfortable and reasonably well made. Wish it had an inner pillow case to hold the buckwheat hulls in, but for the price I am satisfied.

This is only my first meditation cushion, but I am pleased with the quality and value. I would definitely recommend this cushion if youre in the market for such things. 🙂

This cushion is flexible, sturdy, and gave me perfect alignment so that I could sit and meditate, crosslegged, for a great length of time without getting uncomfortable.

It’s a nice cushion. It doesn’t have an inner liner, so the zipper opened slightly and there were buckwheat everywhere!

This is my first cushion, but I am a seamstress. Every detail was thought out: the inner liner with zipper to remove and replace the buckwheat and the outer slip cover so it can be washed. It arrives way overstuffed, so I don’t foresee ever needing to buy replacement hulls.

Once you get the correct amount of stuffing, it molds to bottom and you sit ever so comfortably. This is high quality fabric with a well thought out design. I highly recommend.

Top Notch Cushion for Meditation! I take my meditation routine very seriously. I’ve spent tons of money on all kinds of gadgets. This pillow is one of the bigger purchases I’ve made, but it’s totally worth it.

It took a week to arrive, and it included a nice protetive cover, although I will probably never put it back into that cover. I wish they sold replacement pillowcases for it. That would be nice.

I just started with meditation about 3 months ago and it was about time to invest in a good meditation seat. It came stuffed pretty firm, so I removed a bit of the hulls to make it more comfy for me.

As others have mentioend, the bag is a bit flimsy, but I never use the bag anyways and the neat looks of this pillow makes up for it. Looks quite luxurious. Overall I would definitely recommend this meditation pillow to anyone starting out with meditation.

I bought this right after delivering my baby girl because my back was hurting and I wanted some lower back stretches. I left this on the couch and my husband and I both started using it for feeding. It has been amazing because of how firm it is and malleable, thanks to the buckwheat hulls.

I have been using these for over a year now and they still look new. I loved the big one so much I decided to also purchase the smaller one, and I use both sizes about the same amount. Nothing better than a supported fish using these versus blocks, I have very tight chest muscles so I do fish pose a lot and these have allowed me to stay in longer because I’m comfortable.

I also use them for pigeon if I’m really tight, just fold over them essentially and this also allows more opening in my hips since I can stay in longer. These also stack well for supported straddle stretch.

I love that I can take the cover off to clean them, and they’re the perfect balance of style and functionality. My only regret is that I hadn’t purchased sooner!Lmk if this was helpful.

I bought this bolster to help with my back problems and it has helped tremendously. I use it for bolster yoga stretching and my back issues are so much better. I have been using it to increase my flexibility as well.

It’s soft and not much weight to it. I bought the smaller pillow several years ago for sitting on while meditating. Both have been very useful and have helped my physical health so much.

The color is what I expected when I ordered it and this was great! The pillow is firm, heavy, sturdy, and well-sewn. I love the two handles on which is reinforced and seem quite durable. The weight is substantial but not too terribly awkward to tote with the handles.

Being able to unzip and clean the cover looks to be easy. Though I’ve had no reason to wash the cover yet, the zipper looks durable and it’s easy to unzip. The zipper is not hard to get to and it’s a smooth rise on the zip down; no snags or track jumps.

Because of shelter in place, I was sitting on the floor for work taking client calls and needing to move quickly between seated and floor positions to demonstrate movement (I’m a personal trainer). This meant sometimes I was sitting on the floor for 6+ hours a day.

I love it. I have knee and hip issues and use it to sleep. It gives my knee and hip the support I need. Other “cushions” of this type were fiber filled and collapsed. This one helps me stay aligned and have a comfortable nights sleep.

I bought the Oval Meditation Cushion three years ago and have been using it for meditation since. It’s a beautiful, comfortable, versatile, thoughtfully designed and well-made cushion. The color and pattern of the cover is what caught my eyes in the first place; the style is timeless and exactly like the photos.

I still appreciate its beauty every time I use it. The cover is removable and well made. Buckwheat hulls sometimes come out from the interior (not sure how) but they don’t come out from the cover so this doesn’t bother me.

The cushion itself is supportive and comfortable. I have tried Samadhi cushions at my meditation center for about two months, which according to my meditation guide (over 30 years of meditation experience) is the best cushion on the market.

I personally think Brentwood cushion is equally good and comfortable. [Please note that I indeed have not tried many meditation cushions. i spent several months looking for the right bolster with great reviews and a fair price. i found these and thought they looked so good, but i couldn’t justify the price of one cushion. then the bundle went on sale and i told my husband it would be a wonderful christmas gift.
