20 Best Ylang Ylang Essential Oil (2023 Updated)

Originally ordered this because it was a great price for a product with helichrysum in it, which I love for cuts and scrapes. But I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I decided to give it a try on my psoriasis patches.

I have been reluctantly using a steroid cream to try to keep it under control but I am in my mid 30’s and don’t like to idea of using a steriod for years to come. Not to mention, the steroid cream never really got rid of it, which I didn’t think would ever happen due to the nature of an autoimune disease.

Simply Earth’s Bumps and Boo-Boos blend has given me an awesome alternative that has actually helpped imensly. While it also has not completely healed my patches, I have not need to use any steroid cream since I started using this oil blend.

I use it in a role on, diluted in fractionated coconut oil. As long as I apply it 1-2 times a day and let it soak in, the itchyness is better controlled and what was once red and/or scabby patches on my knees, elbows, and knuckles, is now much less bothersome or noticeable.

Good Vibes has been a favorite of mine since I first received a bottle in my monthly subscription box! It’s earthy and floral and I plan on making a perfume out of it soon! It really does give off good vibes! I love diffusing it in my car, at home, and now at work! I took my flower diffuser to work and put it on my station! It goes beautifully with the salon decor.

There are a lot of chemical smells in a hair salon so it’s nice to have the Good Vibes to keep me centered and just makes my station smell wonderful! I love Simply Earth’s blends! I hope they come out with more!.

My first first time using eucalyptus oil. I bought one of those portable sauna/steamers and did some research and found that eucalyptus oil is an all time additive to steam rooms and can be used in diffusers.

This particular brand gave me a more pleasurable experience in my portable steam room. Would I buy this again? Yes. Providing it stays in stock. The item title had me questioning it. It reads “Huge bottle”.

4 oz is like 1/2 of bottle water. After more research on how to use it. All it takes is no more than 3-5 drops. At the most, 3, depending on the mount of water you are using and this stuff is so powerful alone, I predict this bottle can last for mor than a month or so.

So yes, this is a huge bottle for it’s intended use. If you are contemplating on buying this, I recommend it.

Artizen Frankincense is strong because it is not diluted like some others being sold on ebay for less money. I like the bottle that is tinted yellow to protect the oil inside. I use it for my dog’s gums to sanitize and heal his mouth and it is working.

I use a few drops by mouth for myself for chronic pain and inflammation of joints and it helps. I will continue to order your brand.

I really liked the smell. I wanted to use it with my humidifier since I have sinusitis and most questionable smells trigger sneezing pr blocked noses. It really helped. However in my experience, undiluted essential oils feel like rubbing alcohol when it gets on the skin.

That wasn’t the case with the Artizen which had a more oily feeling.

I used to absolutely hate tea tree oil because of the scent but I will say that it has definitely grown on me and I actually even kind of enjoy the smell of it now. I use tea tree oil (along with a few other essential oils) mixed with water as a bug repellent in the spring and summer and it works really well when sprayed on windowsills, inside and outside of doors and windows etc **HOWEVER**.

my main use and my favorite use for this oil is using it to steam my face. I boil a large pot of water on the stove and then I add about 10 drops of tea tree oil along with a few others (lavender, peppermint eucalyptus, rose and sometimes a tiny bit of frankincense), then I bring it to my bathroom, set it on the floor, sit on the floor and drape a towel over my head and around the pot and breathe deeply and slowly, kind of like a meditation for at least 5 mins but I try and aim for 10.

OH EM GEE let me tell y’all, on nights when I do this (after cleansing, exfoliating and toning but before everything else in my skincare routine I cannot stop touching my face. Even the whole next day my face feels like silk.

Not only that but it also makes it look amazing and feel so incredibly fresh and clean. I try to do this once a week but if I had the time and the patience I would do it every single night. It’s just so good for the skin and the steam opens the pores making it super easy for the skin to truly absorb the serums, treatments and moisturizers I use afterwards.

This is a very good quality oil, it is the best! You can use it for massages and it is excellent. its best use for massage in women, who have female disorders, perhaps menstrual cramps, or hormonal problems.

The skin absorbs it very well is excellent!.

For its high concentration of natural oils this product is perfect for the stimulation of defenses in the body, is very effective.

I am not a fan of this fragrance. It is not a pleasant floral scent. I cannot compare this brand to another. I now know that I just don’t like ylang ylang.

Received my very first bottle of Ylang Ylang today. I immediately opened it to see how it smelled and it was Beautiful! I used it the same evening in my diffuser, diffusing 5 drops and the smell in the air was even more beautiful! It definitely resembles a flowery scent, but also soft at the same time without being too overpowering.

Diffusing it was like I was sitting next to a bouquet of flowers! I will absolutely buy it again. If you haven’t tried this oil yet, you won’t be disappointed!.

Ylang Ylang Complete is a shocking strong scent straight out of the bottle. It made me grimace the first time I smelled it. An intense pepto bismol medicinal bubblegum scent mixed with old lady floral stench is what this reminds me of.

It is a clear, perhaps slightly ambered oil, slick consistency, mixes well with other oils.

Was super excited to get my first order, ordered 11 singles, rollerballs and carrier oils. When I first opened the Ylang Ylang complete I wasn’t sure what I got was even right, however, my only comparison is DoTerra’s Ylang Ylang.

RMO YYC smells exactly like a box of the valentines conversation hearts candy. It has a very sweet/strong scent and doesn’t smell like expected. I’m afraid to use it because of the smell, but I will still be giving it a try out in blends and diffusing before I write it off.

The description is very misleading with how this smells.

An amazing essential oil with so many uses. A favourite staple along with Lavender in the ‘basics’ kit. A brilliantly useful oil as anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory. Can be used in a mulitude of ways either with a base oil or added to your favourite washing-up liquid.

Has a scent that not everybody takes to but it is an ‘essential’ part of the medicine cabinet and the cleaning routine!.

Provided in the standard bottle this bass woody essential oil is of a quality that can be easily recognised by experienced users. The concentration and quality is exemplary allowing for proper dilution without fear of loss of efficacy.

My only gripe is the stopper which is used. For heavier oils I consider it a frustrating addition as it takes forever for the oil to traverse from bottle to the outside. Is there not another way? A nozzle for light and another for heavy? A detail which would help greatly, but I suppose it is a manufacturer rather than a supplier concern.

Really good blend. My clients who are on the more adventurous scale when it comes to aromatherapy, enjoy this oil. Frankincense, rose, cedarwood and ylang ylang are predominate in the aroma.

This is excellent quality Geranium. I use it for my treatment room diffuser. It only takes a few drops! I like to mix it with bergamot and ylang ylang.

Just a heads up, this smells sweet and rich up front but that instantly fades into strong/permanent patchouli, a smell I’ve never liked and find generally offensive. I didn’t pick up on any of that in store when I gave it a sniff; but once I put it in my diffuser the scent changed instantly.

No sweetness, no citrus, just plain patchouli. I know others love patchouli, so for people who do, this oil would be great. It’s taken a long time to clean out my diffuser to get rid of the remaining scent in order to start fresh with something else.

Partly my fault, I read the featured ingredients and didn’t think to expand the list to read the rest. Don’t know why patchouli isn’t listed first though, it’s that strong. Love my other Saje products but this is a miss for me.

I really liked the smell of this roll on, more so than the mist which I find barely has any smell. However neither had any effect on me whatsoever. It did not relax me or help me sleep. The roll on smelled so nice immediately when I put it on my wrist, but within 30 seconds I could barely smell it and I could not smell it unless I put my wrist directly under my nose.

Love the concept, but still searching for something to help with my stress or my sleep. I would say try it, as everyone is different and I do tend to find it hard to find things that work for me in general.

I used it right up, since I wanted to give it a proper try before deciding that it was not working for me. I think Saje is a great brand, and I believe in aromatherapy, but so far, no luck in finding anything that works for me and my health concerns.

My favorite scents from sage are Stress release, pain release, peppermint, and fortress. For a change I bought this for my husband’s stocking for Christmas. I noticed he still has been using only Pain Release before bed (he just loves the scent for a calming purpose).

I wondered and tried the Sleep Well oil on (two days in a row) I could not wait to wash it off because it smells like #2. I told my husband ” It has to be my nose” He said: ” I did not want to tell you, the scent is unbearable” Perhaps we got unlucky and received a bad bottle, since the reviews are great.

It is very difficult to find tobacco essential oil. Even more difficult to find one that is not an absolute. This oil smells like a sweet pineapple with rich tobacco scent. I have only used in an automizer so far.

It blends really well with several other essential oils. I live in a desert and have not used in candle wax yet, but I believe it will be incredible. (It has been 100+ degrees daily since I purchased, candles/tarts etc are too hot to use in summer.

) Regardless of intended use of this oil, I do recommend this product. I am a smoker and can smell the tobacco essence undertone. I am quite pleased with this oil after already purchasing from other vendors, including from other countries.

This is the best tobacco oil I have in my collection.

This product does not smell like plumeria or a hint of plumeria. The oil blend is pleasant, yet if you are wishing the real scent, this is not it. How do I know? Because I have plumeria plants in my backyard.

This DOES NOT smell like Sweet Grass. It doesn’t even come close! It is soapy, chemically fake smelling. It gave me a headache almost instantly. I’m not sensitive to most scents, but this one really bothers me.

I was looking for a thieves oil blend that didn’t cost a fortune. I found Four Gurus and figured I’d give it a try. I absolutely LOVE it. A tiny fraction of the price of what other companies charge with all of the antiviral & antimicrobial benefits of this blend that originated in the 14th century.

This new formulation and renaming of “4 Thieves” is very disappointing. I bought a double order for a discount on one of the 2 bottles because I had so liked the other order I had from them. It’s an overwhelming cinnamon & cloves scent, not at all what the original fragrance was.

I can’t use it in any form. I’ve added other scents to try to improve it but it is too strong to be influenced by another scent.

Mostly when we buy essential oils we wish them to be light and thin, as a sign of a high quality distilling process. Not so with Pachouli! Dark is better. This oils has a deep scent and smooth texture.

I love it. It lasts. Glad I found a good source for it as well.

The quality is great hence the price. Ylang Ylang at full strength is nothing like the diluted versions we’re mostly familiar with. Not as pleasant full strength & solo, but mixed with other floral, sweet oils, it works its magic.

Ylang ylang is my favourite essential oil. I find that it has a calming influence however, It also has an amazing uplifting quality to it. I love to use it in my diffuser, people comment that my house feels inviting, relaxing and smells wonderful.

Love this oil. Always been one of my favs. I blend this with orange oil.

I bought this because I love the tonka bean scent in Neom’s supposedly luxury range of oil blends, as well as many of the other blends, and I hoped for another winner. I’m really disappointed to see that the main ingredient in this is caprylic/capric triglyceride, a derivative of coconut oil.

Thus this is not a pure essential oil blend, but a carrier oil with added essential oils. Not what I’d expect of a product being positioned as premium. The second most abundant ingredient is benzyl acetate, which is a (natural) chemical with the aroma of jasmine often used to add jasmine scent to products.

It is found in jasmine, ylang ylang, and neroli, and produced industrially from benzyl alcohol and ascetic acid. I love Neom products, and gift them to others as well as using them daily myself for skin care and home scenting.

With this one though I feel deceived. The scent is nice enough, but I wouldn’t have paid a premium price for this product had I known it was a carrier oil based blend.

I have very recently received this black pepper & bergamot essential oil. The smell is absolutely amazing and I have to say this is now my new favourite! I have tried all the essential oils in the Neom range now and can honestly say they are the best in my opinion.

I have tried other brands in the past and there is no comparison in the longevity of the oils or in their aromas. I use the Neom oils in the bedroom in my Wellness pod to aid sleep. I find them to be very long lasting and the aroma is still there in the morning even when using my wellness pod for only 2 hours.

I highly recommend Neom as a brand. I have also used the Magnesium body butter, candles, pillow mist, soap, body oil, and luxury bath foam. All are fantastic quality and beautifully packaged. I would say each and every one is perfect for gifting!.

The Jasmine, Bergamot, & Geranium is amazing! It’s like when the angels sing, Heaven plays the Hallelujah Chorus in Handel’s Messiah, the angels dance and clap and stomp as the door opens to welcome someone home and this scent is on the breeze wafting out of room at that moment.

I cried when I tried to come up with the words to describe this scent because it makes me so happy. This scent is Joy! I really love it. I once put it in every diffuser in the house at once and I loved it even more! It doesn’t bother my husband.

Jasmine de Bois once described A La Nuit Eau De Parfum by Serge Lutens as the “gold standard” for jasmine. I really enjoy the parfum and this essential oil is at least equal in quality to the gold standard, though it lasts longer in my diffuser and the scent is more intense.

I absolutely recommend this oil to anyone who enjoys jasmine, it’s exquisite!.
