20 Best Yamaha Motorcycle For Beginners (2023 Updated)

This is another fine example of Tamiya’s great detailed kits. Sadly, they only seem to produce one great motorcycle model a year. They World Superbike Series is riddles with other awesome Motorcycles; sadly Tamiya seem to ignore most of them.

One plus is the ‘Detail Up’ kits of Front Forks. Problem is only Hiroboy seem to produce additional ‘Detail Up’ parts for most of the Tamiya Range.

Awesome detailed model at a great price. Easy to put together. Good range pf models in store aswell.

It’s a model kit of a motorcycle by tamiya. I’ve done a few and found them worth doing and enjoyable. You can put in more detail with after market bits if you want.

I bought this set, specifically, for my fiance’s 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650R, and I was confident when buying, because it states, on the title, “For Kawasaki Ninja 650R 2006-2011”. It came fairly quick.

I set them up, and then checked them, for fitment. The rear stand fit fine, along with the included spools, however, the front is not able to be lifted with this type of stand. (pictures included below), as the bottom-left fork and bottom-right fork are shaped different; with the right being a more common shaped square (first picture), and the left being triangular (second picture).

The stand slips, due to the left-bottom fork being triangular, and too small to balance with the holders, on the stand. I actually managed to get it up, finally, but it slipped off, as I removed the axle, and it scratched the left-bottom fork.

Luckily, the brake caliper saved the bike from falling to the floor, and/or on top of me. I contacted “KapscoMoto”, the company selling these, and notified them of this quandary. The guy typed, “It should fit.

We’ve never had that problem with that model. ” and continued to try and defend its’ ability to fit with the front stand. I am assuming he is either confused about the front stand’s compatibility, while the triple tree attachment is on; or he was just trying to avoid any liability.

And then, when I mentioned the only way to lift this model, he followed with, “you could buy the tree stand attachment. ” which is what I did, in the end. I am still disappointed, and annoyed with this company because it says, on the title and in the description, that this kit is for the Kawasaki Ninja 650R 2006-2011 I am giving this 2 stars because it is NOT fully compatible with the Kawasaki Ninja 650R (front stand), but it was very affordable, and shipped pretty quick.

I realize now, that Walmart, perhaps, does not want photos to be able to be uploaded. I’ve tried to upload two photos, that consist of sizes below 1MB each, and each time I try to upload them, I’m responded with “Time limit exceeded, unable to upload!” Great job.

Great manual. Color wiring diagrams. Plenty of clear pictures a perfect addition for your cycle needs.

Book has virtually everything you need. Is a little vague in some areas, but over all good book

Superb product. Packing was ok. But the box got damaged in transit. Please take due care for saving the box too. Item is highly detailed..!! Loved the product. And shipping too was prompt.

It is much smaller than some others I have seen, yet I was blown away at the detail on this model. Our 1999 SE is the same color, and this model looks like someone shrunk the real deal! The only thing that was a bit hokey in appearance is the side stand.

It also should have two radio antennas.

Exact replica of my F650GS and same color. Nice display for my desk!

Let me start by saying usually Adventure Force brand at Walmart makes good quality toys for less, which is why I bought this for my son. Unfortunately, he had it in two pieces by the time we got home.

The back part broke off before I could even scan it. I took it as a loss because we’d already purchased it. For the price, I think it could’ve been made a lot better!.

Its just perfect to hang a gremlin bell from. Its small enough to go practically anywhere on the bike, but strong enough that you wont lose your bell or what ever keepsake you might wanna hang from it.

At first I was afraid it would be too big, but when I got it it was perfect. Its almost 3 long and hardly an inch wide. Not keen on using the jump ring that came with it because its so small. Will use jump ring thats with the bell.

Great commomerative bell! I love the train design! This was a gift for a friend who’s late father was a train engineer so it was a great gift, he cried. Thank you for having this design available.

I love this company and its origins, many of its designs are appealing to me and the bells make great gifts; however I’ve given only the Claddaghs. I’ve given dozens. They are always appreciated and I see the bells on keychains, in cars, on a couple of motorcycles, on handbags–so they are easily used and make great gifts.

I was super excited when I ordered this bike for my son. He’s 3 and in his eyes he really has a motorcycle, he even corrects me when I call it a bike. it’s a motorcycle. That alone to me is worth the purchase price.

But back to the product. When I pulled it out of the mediocre factory packaging the first thing I noticed was two discolored spots on the bikes fairings clearly from where something had pressed up against the plastic at where it mounts.

Other than that it was in pretty good shape cosmetically. One thing I didn’t like is there were no reflectors in the factory packaging. The box was stapled from the factory so no one took them out, they weren’t put in at the factory.

Now to the factory assembly which is very sub par. All of the bearings in the bike barely had enough grease to let the wheels, crank, and headset spin. Both of the wheels had so much resistance in then from the factory that I tore down both hubs, the headset, and the bottom bracket re-greased then and reassembled them correctly so that they could spin freely.

This bike is made for small kids who aren’t that strong the amount of resistance in all of the rotating parts I had to correct would severely hinder a child from being able to learn how to ride. I gave the bike a 3 star because it’s a cool bike and you can’t expect to get a top tier bike for 80ish dollars.

Unless your comfortable working on bikes I would HIGHLY suggest bringing the bike to a local bike shop and have the go through the whole bike. You’ll probably spend just as much at the shop to have to bike assembled correctly as you did on the bike but it will function like it should.

Wheel was very badly warped. Apart from this my son really loves the bike. I did notice the box says seat goes down which clearly it can’t. Some people said the frame would sit lower but I couldn’t figure that out either.

It’s a little tall for my 5 year old but he’s a little small anyways.

The box arrived pretty banged up. All the pieces were there but it looked like maybe it had been returned. Upon assembly my husband noticed there were some small scuff marks and lighter looking spots where the plastic had obviously been bent, and the frame was slightly bent.

Not sure if that was a shipping thing or what but it looked like it had been through something. They didn’t have another in any of our local stores so we couldn’t just go exchange it and it was a bday present for our son.

My husband was able to get the frame straightened out but I wish we would’ve gotten a “new condition” bike or at least ordered it farther in advance so we could’ve ordered another one in time after seeing the shape of the one we initially received.

I owned a Yamaha virago when I was younger. Best road bike out there and best looking. Enjoyed putting the bike together although some parts were hard to glue. I painted it same color as the one I owned.

Looks pretty good. Would recommend it highly.

You can’t find a model dirt bike anywhere anymore and this one has great details at a great price. I used it as a cake topper for a motocross themed birthday photo shoot. I also received it earlier than the time they quoted me.

My 9 year old bought this for himself. Since he plays with it a small piece has broken off but he still enjoys it.

I received my XL Raven bags for my 2008 Honda VTX 1800N and mounted them using easy brackets – I want to remove the bags whenever I feel like it. I’m my case I knew the bags would clear my shocks so I ordered a bag for a Victory Boardwalk that did not have the shock cutout and gained a lot of space.

I’m really impressed with the overall construction, leather finish, lining, lock & latch. I was surprised to see the bag had a lever to open and close without using a key – perfect! Just about to head out on a 6 day trip and I expect they will perform well even in wet weather.

These are not huge bags, more of a middle of the road size with a nicer appearance in my opinion – I suspect sometimes I’ll regret not getting the next size up hardshell but overall I think I’ll be happiest with these.

You will not be disappointed with the workmanship and sturdiness of these!.

The fitment for some of the bags is not correct. Had to return the first set because they were too big for my model. Customer support was excellent for the most part. The only issue was when they told me to mount the signal lights to the thin plastic license plate holder on my fat bob rear fender after determining that the hardware they supply was not designed for my model.

The relocation kit that they provide for the rear signal lights does not fit fat bob fenders. Had to purchase the OEM relocation kit. The main mounting hardware is soft steel and one of the main mount bolts sheared off when torquing to specs, 27 foot pounds.

Had to buy better hardware. One of the bags has a lot of flex in the hinge so the door is hard to latch closed. You need to have some mechanical expertise to install these since the instructions are poorly written.

They look really nice. Hope they are durable. Only installed for a week so time will tell.

The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is the instructions that came in the box were completely different than the ones listed online. Not to mention the outrageous number of typos on the instructions, the wrong tools to use, and overall poor instructions.

you are basically on your own installing these things. I did watch a few install videos including the not so helpful installation video listed in the installation section, and several more helpful YouTubers.

Overall the quality of the bags are great. Shipped fast and secure. I open the box to find these bags in plastic then in cloth bags. Overall the shipping and packaging made sure the bags would not be damaged in shipping.

The bags are great quality and really add to my bike. Lots of room and plenty of storage. I was shocked to see how much I was able to get inside the bags and still have room for more. But it does not take away from the bike and make the bags disproportional.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe bought this for our 3 year old son for Christmas. He is pretty big for his age 42″ tall and is bigger than many 4 or 5 year olds. He fits on this very nicely and it should last him several years.

The product manual for putting it together has diagrams only. Not a problem for me as it took about 15 minutes to put it together. The product details are not quite correct on the Walmart website. They list it for 66 lbs, and per manufacturer product manual it will hold 25 Kg which would equal ~55 lbs (personally I think it will hold much more).

Product manual lists as follows: 25 Kg for children ages 3-8. The motor cycle has 2 6 V batteries hooked in series to equal 12 Volts (Walmart lists as 1 12 V battery). It has 2 speeds (I would guess about 3 and 6 MPH), and forward and reverse (Walmart lists as 3 MPH).

It is not clear that the motorcycle has 2 speeds. There is a power switch on the motor cycle and it does not turn it on and off, however it does switch it between high and low speed. Because of this people may think that it only has 1 speed when in fact it has 2.

We bought this because it was narrow enough for our son to ride in the house during the winter, but big enough to hold his weight. It is a bit noisy for in house use, and leaves black marks on the carpet when he spins the tires when the motorcycle gets stuck (I see carpet cleaner and hard wood floor cleaner in my future).

The horn is a bit annoying and it has another button that plays music which our kids seem to like (slightly more annoying than the horn). The nice thing is that there are separate batteries that power the motorcycle and the music / horn combo, so you could disable the horn and music if desired.

I completed quite a bit of research before I ordered from Walmart on other sites, and the misinformation between sites was confusing. The Walmart price was great and beat anywhere else I looked on line @ ~$160.

Overall I would say good quality good price, and hopefully many years of use as our son loves it.

IšverstiShow in original languageMy children love riding on this toy, when it is working. The battery life is very short. We have two other ride-ons that last much longer. Also, the music/sound that comes from pushing the buttons on the motorcycle is techno/house music in another language.

I do not think it was the music intended for this toy. Walmart offered to let us return it but would not assemble a new one for us. Since the the assembly is time-consuming and a pain, we decided to just keep it.

Got this today. the detail is real good, however after taking it out of the package and it’s original box I noticed a few things, one of the front shocks doesn’t compress all the way like the other side, also the rear swing arm is pretty loose.

all in all it looks really cool! And I mean for 12$ you can’t really complain much! It’s still a cool piece and I’ll be putting it on the shelf in my personal RC room for sure!! All in all I’m very happy either way!!.

I have a 450, so I got one of these to sit on my desk at work, just because it looked cool and it’s what I actually ride. It’s pretty detailed, but most of it is made of plastic (not only the body obviously, but the arms, guards, bars, etc) The only real diecast part of it was the motor.

But it’s still cool, just be aware that it probably wouldn’t be overly durable as a toy. But for just sitting it somewhere, it’s pretty cool.

Model quad was broken inside of seal box, if looking to display only is ok I guess

The instrument / guitar itself is great. Im not a great musician but in my ears it really sounds great. Havent tried plugged since i dont have amp yet. Sound is really crisp. Came with the box and secured but the guitar has marks on it but I didnt bother since the return of items in this country needs a lot of work.

Other than that im satisfied with my purchase.

Very good quality, great sound and has been all I could want from a guitar. It’s a lovely guitar to play and with the onboard tuner it is a very simple set up. As a beginner to guitar it is perfect for me.

After playing ukulele for 2 years I decided to go for it and bought this guitar. I did find the size was an issue at first but now it is not really an issue. I would definitely recommend to anyone starting out.

Hi. I’ve received one of these APX 600 today. It’s the second guitar I’ve had this week the first one alverez didn’t work. PMT were very good in collecting it and refunding my money. I then sent from the Yamaha.

It’s a very nice and comerfatble to play. Also it came with instructions on how the electronics work. I would recommend this guitar for the beginner. Also top marks to PMT.

I’ve been a fan of Yamaha guitars for a long long time. I used to sell them a lifetime ago. In recent years they’d abandoned left handed players. One day I was searching for anything old and used and was presented with a hit on this model.

Hello! Then I began pouring over reviews. There was a lot to grab my attention. A came here to order one after about 4 hours of reading and watching videos. I’m not going to reiterate everything that is already out there point by point.

Instead let me give some thoughts on my experience so far. This mix of features come together in a profound way. This thing is versatile. It’s insanely balanced physically and sonically. The neck is outstanding.

This is my first experience with stainless steel frets and they AMAZING. Fit and finish is what you’d expect at higher price points. One final specific point. I don’t know if Yamaha tweaked the recipe with the focus switch from when all the reviews were done, but a lot of those reviewers seemed pretty “meh” about it and I can say to my ears the audio demos didn’t have me salivating.

I wasn’t expecting much from it as a result. In my hands though, plugged in. it really does something special to my ears. Funny thing, on nearly every 2 humbucker guitar I own or have ever touched (and that’s a lot of them) I almost NEVER use both pickups together.

On this Revstar it might be my favorite spot. It’s so balanced that it makes me wonder if there is something in the circuitry to help achieve that. When I ordered this I opted to have it Plek’d and KUDOS to the tech who did the setup.

It’s about as perfect as I’ve ever had or have done myself (setup not Plek) Huge props to my sales engineer Robb LaRosa for all his help with this purchase. One final thought not related to this purchase.

in the past few years as I speak to other musicians whenever Sweetwater comes up in conversation, universally I hear, “I LOVE THOSE GUYS”. This is not a paid review in case it feels that way.

I’ve had the guitar for nearly 3 weeks now. Not that long, but enough to know it’s an absolutely brilliant guitar for the money. In my view, the pickups are excellent, with a very broad range of tones.

Pulling up the focus switch gives a thicker tone, which I love. The body is resonant and gives the guitar life, while the sustain is insanely good. The tuners are very smooth and the whole thing is just very, very well made with the action being bang on for me straight out of the box.

The string spacing feels marginally wider than my PRS SE and Fender Cabronita, which makes playing chords somehow more comfortable. It’s very nice to play. A couple of things to note, I’d say, are that it’s despite being chambered, it’s not super light.

Mine weighs in at about 8lb 5oz, but obviously this will vary a bit. The other thing is that the web site photos show a redder more Mahogany coloured back whereas mine is near black. Overall. Absolutely fantastic.

I’d consider buying another if I could get away with it.

For the price the Hellcat 125 is not bad at all. That being said, you can’t just buy it, slap on the handlebars and front wheel and go. The quality of the metals used are nice, but nowhere near Japanese brands.

You can’t just crank on bolts or you will strip things. (Well you can, but you will have issues) Knowing that you bought a clone for 1/4 the price of a real Grom you are getting a decent bike for the money, but you have to put in a little work.

I basically disassembled the entire bike and reassembled it with loctite. (Blue mostly, but red in a few areas). I also changed out the motor mount bolts with Grade 8. 8 Stainless Steel ones and changed out the swing arm bolt and Axles for official Grom parts.

Do not start the bike without changing the oil, and I’d recommend changing the sparkplug to a NGK C7HSA. After doing all of this the bike starts and runs really nicely. I only have 2 days of run time on it, so i do not know how it will hold up, but for the money I’m not mad at it.

The motor seems really smooth, and I’m sure it will get smoother as it breaks in. I’ll be changing the oil again after 200 miles, and then probably change it every 500 after. It takes. 95 quarts so $5 every 500 miles is cheap insurance for engine longevity.

I just got the bike yesterday and I was really excited putting it together, everything looked great, unfortunately after putting some fuel inside the the bike it some how got into the carburetor and won’t turn over now so that’s disappointing, everything else looks good just need a new carburetor for the bike now.

Fast shipping, fun bike, so far decent customer service! You do have to wait for your title which is a bummer but overall great bike for the price.

Took delivery of this almost a month ago but just got to assembling it and letting our twin-8 year old grandkids try it out. Kept it on low speed and it ran well. Disc brakes a good feature and both were able to operate them.

One annoying concern is a light banging noise, or maybe better called a clacking sound when ever they rode over a small bump or rock. Neither is heavy in weight and I am thinking it is a suspension issue.

Possibly a missing shock bushing or lack of adequate fluid or spring tension. Hard to understand why such a heavy-duty frame is designed with a seemingly light-weight suspension. Can’t imagine a 12 year old riding this off road.

Ours was shipped direct from the razor distributor in California to our home in Massachusetts. Will be quite expensive to ship it back to repair or replace.

Not satisfied with this product at all. My 8 yr old daughter really wanted it so she saved up her money to purchase for Christmas. Within the first week we had issues with the front & rear wheel locking.

Contacted Indian they sent replacement parts out. Switched everything out and it did it again with in 24 hours. This is a huge issue, hassle, and waste of time for the customers. Let alone the little one is SUPER bummed due to ALL these issues in such a short period of time.

Bought this for my grandkids to have as they grow – Lover that is it not all plastic and built well. My daughter and daughter in law can also ride said it was very nice. Love that you can adjust the speed for the younger aged children! Battery goes for a very long time! Really having a blast with this unit!!.
