My husband works in a machine shop that is not air conditioned. He really likes these shirts because they wick moisture away and create a cooling effect when fans are blowing. Makes work much more comfortable.

Worn in construction. 2 yrs. washed twice a week. Would not wear out. I finally had to much paint on it. Sad day to cut it up for rags. Wish they still came in OD green.

Looks fine to me. I like the way it has some sort of elastic qualities incorporated in it.

The Cowboy Cut shirt in chambray is just about perfect. It’s cut on the slim side, but it’s not tight. The only thing I dislike about it is that there are these sewn-in collar stiffeners. It’s not a shirt that needs collar stays and it looks kinda weird with them in there.

Otherwise, this shirt is one of my favorites.

This Wrangler shirt came out of the dryer so badly wrinkled that it must be ironed before wearing. Wrangler makes a premium shirt that is mostly cotton with a little polyester. It is great. Don’t buy the 100% cotton shirt unless you plan to do a lot of ironing or send your shirts out for professional ironing.

Most comfortable work tee shirts that I ever purchased! The color has never faded and I’m outside quite often.

It’s hard to find all-cotton work uniforms, especially in my size. Add a jacket if you’re welding or cutting, because it’s not really heavy enough for that, but for most general work it’s more than adequate.

#sweepstakes The only thing I would like to see added is a second button on the cuff to pull it tighter around the wrists and keep the sleeves clear of my work. Size was as expected. Delivery was as promised.

Body length: What is it with Tall work shirts? Regular shirts have 7 front buttons. Any well-made Tall shirt will have 8 front buttons. You need 8 because *the shirt is longer*. You can’t just *enlarge* the shirt.

Red Kap missed that bulletin: they have 7. But at least the second-from-the-top is not too far down, so your whole chest is exposed (as with Dickies, which I disliked for many reasons), but still, it’s not correct.

Sleeves: The sleeve diameter is not adjustable-only one button per sleeve, not two-and they do not have the third button further up to help keep a rolled-up sleeve in place. The length is just a wee bit short-maybe 36.

5-but they don’t bind in my shoulders when I reach. Neck size: I ordered a “Long XL”, and the neck size is about 16. 5- amazingly, it fits me. Most generic XLTs are 17-17. 5. Beware if you are beefier than am I (6’4″, 185 lbs): the neck might be tight.

Material: I like the 100% cotton (I work around high voltage). The fabric appears to be sturdy and resists wrinkles out-of-the-dryer (if not crammed in), but they are not “ironed”. Sadly, there were a number of loose threads (always suspect), and they are definitely lint magnets.

And they’ve only been through the wash twice, so who knows how they will hold up. I can’t yet say how well they will release grease and dirt, but they are dark blue, so hey. Comparatively, the Dickies were great in that regard: sturdy, washable, non-wrinkling.

Bottom line: I might buy them again, depending on how well they hold up. They are, I believe, made in the USA, always good. But you do get what you pay for: mediocre tailoring.

Excellent shirt I have used since 2019 in a different color. Burgundy now, same job, same set up. I prefer long sleeves due to chemicals I work with. I believe sleeves are easily replaceable if I spill or splash a chemical or biohazard on myself.

I been wearing long sleeves since 1999 and the sleeves from other many brands have saved me maybe 6 times now. From IEDs, hot empty brass casings, fire, antifreeze, biohazards, cleaning chemicals to hot coffee.

I dont know why Carhartt doesn’t sell the normal cotton hi vis shirts anymore. Those were way better than these. When you first put these shirts on, they feel great for hot days. They let a lot of air breathe through.

However, within the first couple of minutes wearing these shirts, the material would snag on some sort of metal on the jobsite, beam, strut, etc. And the shirt thread gets snagged. By the end of the first day, there were about 20 different snags all over this shirt.

They also seemed to shrink a lot more than normal carhartt shirts. I’m 6’8 and the 2X tall always fits perfect. These shirts became belly shirts after the first couple washes. If you read this review Carhartt, please bring back the normal hi vis shirts, and the force hi vis t shirts! Please!.

This is the second set of this style shirt we have ordered. We ordered larges before, unfortunately they run HUGE. But at least we didn’t have issues with them. We have also ordered other styles shirts in the past and have sent them in for credit and reordered, so we usually don’t complain to much.

With that all said, we read on previous reviews that the stickers leave a residue when removing. Well that happened to us as well. SO it appears Carhartt ignored those individuals and didn’t address the issue and are still sending out the shirts with the same problem.

That is what happened to us. Everyone of the shirts, the square sticker under the collar left its residue behind and you can’t get it out without ruining the shirt. Carhartt’s answer, whoops sorry. Send it in for credit and reorder.

Nobody has time for a big corporation sticking it to us little corporations so we have decided to move our companies apparel away from Carhartt. Hope this review helps you in making your shirt decisions.

I ordered a 6XLT shirt for one of our drivers and the shirt was not a Tall even though all the package said it was. The tag on the shirt was only a 6XL. The shirt itself is a nice looking shirt but don’t be fooled into thinking you will receive a TALL size just because that’s what you ordered.

I finally got the courage to start a business! I have always liked the Quality of Red Kap products, so I ordered a enhanced visibility short sleeved shirt in bright orange. I used the sizing chart to figure my exact size and ordered the name of my new business to be on my Red Kap shirt.

It fits perfect! it also is comfortable and wicks away moisture. I plan on ordering more shirts when I get my company logo made because, Red Kap will put that on my shirts also. I can already tell a difference in the way new customers react to me because I look professional in my aw-sum Red Kap work shirt.

I love my new Red Kap Hi-Vis short sleeve Ripstop works shirts. They are comfortable for all day wear. I like button down shirts better than T-shirts, they just look more professional, and the 2 tone color configuration ( charcoal and lime) with the reflective stripping looks great and not gaudy like other Hi-Vis workwear that I have looked at.

I liked these so much that I ordered some long sleeved ones also. I work around various forms of heavy machinery, farm equipment, and trucks daily and these shirts are a necessity in my line of work! Red Kap workwear is tough and durable, I have been wearing it for years.

I’ve used the active sports medium weight drawers and tops for skiing, hunting and fishing for over 40 years. I’ve used numerous brands, but these are the best, most comfortable I’ve ever used!

Been buying Dickies T-shirts & clothes for decades and have been almost perfect. For the last several years I have been buying Dickies T-Shirts at Walmart BY THE STACK and have been very happy with them.

I own several other Dickies T’s but these are my dailies. Went to buy more and they have been replaced with cheap T’s by a thin cheap brand that sounds & fits like strangler. A few people bought me gifts very recently online of what appeared to be the same Dickies shirts that were sold at Walmart but not ONE of the many styles is even close.

One wear, one wash, and gone to others. I have tried in the past due to unavailable stock to match sku’s & item numbers between retail & online without success. If the Walmart shirts are no longer being made let folks know.

If they are still available, or even a shirt that is very similar, I think it would be good for you to let that be known as well. I know a lot of other folks in my circles are asking the same thing. From a lot of the comments here I think others are wondering & wanting the same information and/or product.

I am extremely happy with these shirts, I personally like the shape and fit (a bit loose and boxy) very comfortable. The fabric is soft and breathable, it also absorbs sweat well rather than having it run down my arms like all poly shirts do.

These are much cooler than the heavy weight shirts in summer, yet still hold up to serious wear and tear. They hold there shape well through multiple washes, they don’t shrink much if at all (mine just got a bit shorter after drying) and they don’t fade.

I have several and they are all I wear now. For both work and socially. My only comment would be can we please have them in more colours? The greens especially. Thanks for a great affordable shirt.

Great fit even after washing and drying. Really good material and it kept it’s shape after laundering. It’s so hard to find t-shirts that fit well. Most women’s t-shirts are either too snug in the waist or too baggy in the shoulders, and men’s don’t fit well either, especially since they started making them with the athletic fit.

I usually wear a women’s large but I wasn’t sure about the Dickies fit so I bought a large and an extra large in the Dickies women’s size and they both fit fine with a little extra room in the XL, but not baggy.

So the large is true to size. I’ll be buying more in the future, but I hope they come out with some new and maybe brighter colors. Great alone or under my new Dickies flannel shirt!.

Thick and warm, good fit: quite roomy around the body but it’s not oversized. Nice quality. Bought it for my boyfriend and it turned out that he dreamed about this shirt so yeah, happy days.

The sacramento is my default shirt. Pretty durable and especially combined with a longsleeve it\’s nice and warm. This one in grey n\’t look to busy and matches easy with other colors.

I dreamed of a shirt like this for years. In many ways, it is perfect! The pockets are huge and extremely useful. The materials dries very quickly and is super soft while also being warm and wind resistant.

One night at a friends house, I jokingly put it on backwards and started drying dishes with it. It works extremely well and I wore the shirt home without being wet or cold! Super versatile. XL is great for being an overshirt (over sweatshirts and sweaters) at 6’2” and 180lb but I would’ve order a large or wearing like a normal “shirt” shirt.

I work as a carpenter in Vermont. Needless to say, I can ruin clothes pretty quickly – so wanted to really test drive this shirt before I left a review. After wearing this shirt to work literally every day for the past 5 weeks (for testing purposes, of course), I’m happy to say that it really does live up to the claims.

Fit: The fabric is soft to the touch, and the shirt is cut comfortably. As winter is winding down and we’re entering shoulder season in VT right now (March – April), I have been using the shirt primarily as an outer layer – throwing a jacket on when temps dip below freezing.

The weight of the fabric has served me well working in temps from the low 30’s to the mid 50’s. (bearing in mind that we go sunbathing in VT when the thermometer hits 60. ) I’m 5’10 and 185 lbs – I’d give myself an average to moderately fit build.

I ordered a medium, and it fits very well. Plenty of room to layer underneath if needed, but works great over a t-shirt, too. There are times that the back of the shirt doesn’t have quite enough room across the shoulders (reaching across my body with one hand on a ladder, or when reaching both arms up at about 30 degrees), but this happens infrequently enough that I wouldn’t say it impacts moving or working significantly.

(after all, it’s entirely possible it’s just me, as nobody else has mentioned this yet. ) I would also join the lobby for a second cuff button – while the shirt fits very well, I found that the cuffs fell a bit lower on my hand than I was comfortable with – especially while using the table saw and some other power tools.

Patagonia customer service was kind enough to send me some more buttons upon request, so again – far from a deal breaker. Durability: This shirt really wins here. Since I’ve had the shirt, I’ve been framing a garage in the snow, crawling into basement corners, on the ground under my car, hanging and taping sheetrock, carrying lumber, running various saws and large machinery – and the Farrier shirt looks just as good (after a wash, of course) as it did the day I got it.

I gotta say – I am impressed by how well this shirt wears. One of the reasons I wanted to wait to write a review is that I have often had the experience of a garment that looks great out of the box, but falls apart quickly in the field.

That is definitely not the case here. I feel confident that this shirt will hold up well for a long time to come. Details: -The pencil pocket seemed a bit gimmicky at first, but I have grown to love it.

Way more useful than I expected. -The pleated chest pockets are never quite as useful (on any shirt) as I want them to be. Patagonia has done a good job with these. Generously sized, and easy to throw a handful of fasteners into – but the pleats actually make it a bit harder to get the last few screws or nails out of the bottom of the pocket.

(again, could just be me – I’m sure this depends on the size of your hands and the size of whatever you’re putting in your pocket. ) -Everything about the construction of this shirt says quality and durability.

In attempting to create a shirt that holds up to the demands of physical labor while still looking and feeling great, the Farrier shirt is a solid winner. Overall: The farrier shirt was my first foray into the workwear line, and I gotta say, Patagonia really nailed it here.

This shirt is worth every penny. I liked it enough to order a second one, and am continually getting both compliments on the shirt, and questions about where I got it. If you want a solid, durable, but comfortable shirt – this is it.

While I was initially tempted to dock one star for the few minor details I mentioned above, after putting this shirt through it’s paces, I have changed my mind. It’s earned the 5 stars.

The first time I saw this shirt, I was mostly just curious how hemp would feel on my skin, worried that it would be too itchy or scratchy. Turns out, when I got it and wore it, hemp is very similar to feel to denim.

So if you like your jeans, you’ll probably like these shirts. I own two of these shirts, I use them for work. I work as a Chef full time, working up to 60 hours a week on some weeks. I only own two of these, and I interchange them about everyday.

They do very well in the wash after about two months of usage, I see no shrinkage yet. The shirts also don’t smell bad and they have no visible stains. Overall, these shirts do better in a kitchen than any chef coat Ive used.

Plus. they feel really nice too. Overall, I would say if you want to try out hemp as a material, or if you work in a hard environment, Id recommend these. They also are not a bad winter/autumn shirt either.

ONE thing to note though. I bought the striped shirt and it seems like it was built differently than my plain black shirt. The striped shirt feels thicker than my black one, I believe they had to make it thicker because the design of the stripes themselves make the shirt thicker.

I prefer my black one which is thinner, because it provides more mobility. The thicker stripped one does provide more protection and warmth though. Just something to keep in mind if you want the STRIPED one.

My hairdresser was so pleased with his lab jacket gift. He needed a jacket to protect his clothing while he applied color to his client’s hair. Dark colors are difficult to find. But, your company offered a nice charcoal color in his size.

Believe me, I looked everywhere. The quality was excellent. He can easily roll up his sleeves and the pockets are handy. We are both pleased with the product and the price was very reasonable.

Good quality material. Only one suggestion: another snap at the top would allow the wearer to button the coat all the way to the top keeping more dust and grime away from his clothes.

Comfortable T-Shirt, soft collar. I like the fabric with cotton mixed with polyester. Made it feel less sweaty in the hotter weather. Only negative is that it’s slightly undersized. My usual tees and polos are Medium, but this medium tee is just a bit snug.

I’ll buy another one in large next time.

It would be better if the shirt contained more cotton in percentage. It would be better if the t-shirt contained more cotton in percentage. But still great especially on cold days. I put it on a long-sleeved cotton t-shirt and it’s great!.
