14-year old grandson was playing in a wood bat tournament and needed a quality stick. He is a 3 or 4 hole guy that hits more doubles than singles, and prefers a balanced bat. His BBCOR arsenal includes a VooDoo I and Missile II.

He had a chance to swing several top shelf wood bats and as soon as he grabbed the Tatis21 he said “this is the one. ” I made him try several others and actually mixed the one he picked into a group of Tatis21s and he was able to find that same bat again (it has a distinct blem in the knob paint).

Solid bat with plenty of pop off the shelf and EVs close to the VooDoo. Beautiful finish and 45-day warranty is a plus. BTW – he and the bat performed well at the tournament and he is talking like the Tatis21 could step in front of the VooDoo in non-wood tourneys.

Solid bat it’s taken an absolute beating and the only thing bad enough to even mention is that the cup edge broke. Super nice feel to the handle, and the burnt piece near the ring is beautiful.

Super balanced, barrel is a little smaller than other wood bats. Feels like a wooden “aluminum” bat, can’t go wrong, very sweet sweet spot.

I got a 33 love it weight is perfect a smooth barreled ball swing feels excellent and gets launched really enjoy this bat it’s my go to now. I’m not in any league or school but I really enjoy hitting of a tee or pitching machine at field.

Have 1 hybrid 2 1 piece alloy 1 1 piece composite and 2 maple bats. This rawlings is several hundred less and is better. I have swung both new maple baum and the rawlings is better hope to see a new 2022 model soon maybe a birch bamboo composite in the 243?.

Bought this bat to use in my 50+ men’s baseball league. As of this writing, I’ve only games it once. But, the 1st time I made contact with this stick, I hit a laser. It was a rocket. Huge pop (velocity).

The 2nd time a made contact, I didn’t pure it as much but the ball still shot off the barrel with enough speed to get past the SS and 3rd baseman. Bottom line: this bat has excellent balance and a lot of pop.

Looks awesome, great colors and finish. Loved the feel of this bat. End loaded but feels more balanced than other 243s. Swings really smooth and has a pretty big sweet spot. Pop is good and the sound is awesome.

This bat and any other wood bat that Marucci makes are awesome… as for the sticker issue that Mike was having, dude it’s called use a blow dryer for 10-15 seconds and it peels right off. But I do like the Peter “Grinds my Gears!”LOL These bats do have more pop than any BBCore out there.

Perfect for HighSchool kids getting ready for the next level. If you wanna make it to the pros you have to use the bats the pros use. You didn’t see McGuire using a 34” Meta. Also for the guys that are breaking them, need to know how to swing a wood bat.

Find the grain and stop jamming yourself and this bat will last a long time.

This bat broke during the first week of use. We bought another while we waited for Marucci to honor the warranty and the same exact thing happened with the other bat. Paying $175 for a bat that breaks during the first tournament used is crazy and then for the same exact thing to happen after purchasing another, there’s something wrong with the quality of this bat.

Marucci did send us two new bats, but I’m guessing they’re not going to last long. My son is 17 and has been playing baseball for years, we’ve never had a wood bat break so easily.

My son started swinging wooden bat at Perfect Game tournament and showcases about 9 months ago. He has a Marucci Pujois model. He hit ok on a scale of 1-10 he was a 5. With his BBCOR bat he was a high 8.

He had the Old Hickory bat on display because we are from CA and likes Trout. 2 months ago being a little frustrated with hitting wood he pulled the bat down and gave it a try. He was still smashing with his BBCOR bat.

Low and behold he started smashing with the Old Hickory. Same size as the Marucci 33′ about 20ft-30ft longer more pop off the bat. Granted there are kids on are team who use the Marucci and smash. He likes the bat hit a HR in AZ this last weekend with it.

I didn’t think there was much of a difference with maple wood bats but now I believe there is.

Serious bat . broke 3 lower priced bats this season. This bat has went for 7 games now without breaking. Had 4 doubles in a double header Saturday. 16 u 32 inch size .. nice bat so far.

this bat is unbeleivable, i reveived this bat a couple months ago so i waited to post a review until i could see the durability and to this day it still is as good ss rhe day i bought it. it is perfectly balanced wirh loads of pop and a massive sweet spot and it looks good too.

so if ur thinking about buying a wood bat this would be a great bat to consider!.

Nice piece of wood for the price. My son wanted the flared knob, but the handle is pretty slick unlike the bamboo mizuno he had with a similar knob, so he definitely needed a lizard skin on it to avoid the total destruction of my garage.

Sound is solid and he says the bat feels good on contact. The ring burns look really good in person (not that it matters, but they do). Who knows about the durability of any wood bat; he has had it a few weeks and has put some mileage on it at the cage and in lessons without issue.

Whenever it inevitably breaks, I’m sure I will feel we got our $65 out of it thanks to the great prices at BaseballSavings. com!.

I bought this bat about 2 weeks ago and it broke in 1 day of use with less than 25 hits. This is a sub par quality bat but yet they advertise they make great quality products. I called Mizuno and they said they couldn’t do anything for me.

What a great answer from a poor quality company that makes a poor bat. Their response matches their bat quality. So I paid to have a baseball bat for a day and now I have nothing. This was my first Mizuno bat and my last.

I will never buy another Mizuno wood bat and maybe product again. stay away from this one!.

Flawless finish and a light swing weight. Prefer more taper to the knob but I tape it up to my preference anyways. Great feel and sound on batted balls. Wood is the way to go with fungos IMO and this is a solid, if not premium option.

Time will tell as far as durability goes but the craftsmanship suggests there won’t be any problem there.

The 243 turn is accurate, as this is an end-loaded power bat. Purchased the 34/31 bat in early 2020 for 13U player to serve as a quasi-overweight bat, strictly for working on bat control. Over the past 9 months, players frustration with length and weight during tee work and soft toss has resulted in improved hand positioning through the zone and better hip/shoulder rotation.

The bat has pop. It has been used in the garage in cold temps, and in hot summers. No signs of use. this bat is very solidly made. I expect to use it for several years.

Solid Piece for Equipment. Only reason I knocked off a star is the fact I like the Elite version of this bat better. It is a very good bat. It is Solid and durable. Bamboo is incredibly hard to break.

I bought this as a replacement for the same but I owned and have swung for the better part of three years.

Likes the feel of the Bamboo. Has a lot of pop for wood. Only negitive is on balls not hit on the sweet spot he has some small vibration.

Bought from this vendor- cracked after use in the batting cages. Called vendor – did not offer ANY support. Called Mizuno and they stated THIS Specific bat is NOT COVERED under any warranty. So buyer beware.

Took it to the batting cages and so far its fantastic! I love the feel. Really well balanced and has some pretty good pop. Doesn’t sting as much as my other bamboo bat. Highly recommend!

Bought this two months ago for my son who has used wood bats before. He has also used several types of bats from different manfacturers. This was his favorite bat (31″). The ash had great flexibility and good pop.

Players that are used to metal or composite bats that have big drops may find it heavy. My son is on the big side and has enough hand speed to keep up with most 12 U pitchers. He did well enough with it at practice and in games to get some of his teammates to try this or his other wood bat.

I may be wrong, but with the new bat regulations all metal bats need to respond more like wood (BPF). For smaller or weaker players, the greater drop weights help with bat speed and control, but as the players get stronger the bat speed does not change much with the less weight, but the mass of the bat really helps drive the ball.

It does have the drawbacks of a wood bat, not great off the handle and can crack or break. Take the time and practice the right way to hit with it and it will last. Last few bats lasted over a season or even two.

This lasted though most of this season over about 200-300 hits conservatively estimated. It is twenty bucks, not two hundred. Remember, it is not the bow, it is the archer.

My son got this for a Christmas present. It did not have a whole lot of pop that he was hoping for, but he still liked it a lot. He even hit a walk off home run with it. However, the first bat broke apart after about two months.

DeMarini replaced it, but I had to pay the shipping. The second bat broke in less time than the first. I’m hoping they will do the right thing and replace it with a different model, however, I’m having a very hard time with their customer service answering the phone or returning messages.

Good bat for youth player. Helps practice batting using a little heavier bat. Kids love the wood bat. Makes them feel like a pro.

I just know a friend that had this bat and the first time he tried using it in a game about 150 swings on it in BP, it broke, but it sounded great in the cage. The durability of was poor for a bamboo bat which bamboo bats are supposed to be durable and able-to-beat up bats.

It does not need grip, also very well balanced and good solid pop off the bat. Surprised for the price. Overall great value.

Very skeptical at first about this bat. Once I tried it, I knew I got a great deal instantly. I went back and bought a few more for my team.

My son is 11 playing travel baseball. I believe that this bat is one of the best practice bats for youth players. Slightly heavier than USA bats, smaller sweet spots. However when a player hits the sweet spot it definitely creates more pop than any USA bat.

And it’s so durable and cheap. I also use this bat for fielding practice. Easy to hit outfield.

Bats showed up in terrible condition due to shipping damage. Scratched dented and chipped. They won’t do anything about it, won’t respond, and won’t post these reviews.

This bat has a HUGE barrel, and tons of pop. Light swinging, & Balanced. Like all Bamboo bats it’s super durable. Great value…

Has a nice full barrel to drive the ball. Not as end loaded as I thought it would be, but thats good since it’s exactly how I like it. On swing tests and EV tests it hits all of the marks. Both my son and myself were hitting comparable numbers to BBCOR bats.

The handle and knob have a really nice taper. Bat has a good feel good getting it through the zone. Weather is too bad to test it on a field. But I expect it to perform well, if not will update this later.

Purchased a new Warstic Pro Reserve wood bat. After one round of batting practice the bat had dents in it. Contacted customer service and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Company apparently does not stand behind their product and has horrible customer service.

One of my warstic bats cracked at the handle on the first AB of the season (weather was over 70 degrees). I switched to the second bat and jacked a home run, which I felt was compensation from the diamond itself.

Will be returning the broken bat and keeping the HR stic.
