20 Best Womens Shoe For Tennis (2023 Updated)

I’ve had a number of ASICS tennis shoes over the years, and have been generally satisfied with them. The cushioning is quite good, sole life rivals New Balance in the same price range. The sizing is true.

All good! But, my previous pair of ASICS had shoestrings that were ridiculously long. I use a tying technique that doesn’t require a double bow knot it to keep from untying. That technique uses a bit more string, but not enough to keep the string off the court.

My current ASICS has the opposite issue: the strings are too short! They’re so short that the top eyelet can’t be used. How can a shoe manufacturer not provide shoe strings of the proper length??.

I’m a very regular hardcourt tennis player, so my feet are fairly tough. Usually i can do 3 sets with no pain whatsoever on soles of my feet. With these though, i had to stop today after only 1 set as i was in agony.

There is so little cushioning under the front of the foot, it feels like you are playing bare foot. The actual shoe fits very well and is comfortable other than that, so it’s a shame. Unfortunately i cant return them as it is just a terrible design, not a faulty product, so it’s £50 absolutely wasted, i’ll stick to adidas next time.

Avoid these shoes at all costs.

I bought this show in march, early July, the sole was already gone. I do not play everyday and I was surprised by how fast it was tearing. Top part of the shoe is very durable. Second problem, and the worst, to me was foot pain while wearing the shoe for a while.

I play tennis for 2 hours, and after that, my foot aches so much that I can hardly continue playing. The days that I continue, I can barely walk the day after. I can’t say whether this is an issue on my foot that is enhanced by the shoe.

To me it didn’t work.

Wasn’t sure about the shoes at first. Played with them on clay court and was immediately impressed. There was a good balance between initial grip when pushing and slide control. Not sure how long the soles will last though.

Time will tell. What I love about these shoes is the no break in. Hopped into them and played 3 hours with no pain, blisters, fatigue, or cramping. I play 3 to 4 times a week. If they last me more than 6 months, I’d definitely buy another one.

Playing in FL weather and these feel cool. But I play early mornings. They are true to size and has a wider toe box than most medium shoes. My feet appreciate them greatly. Tried them at the local PGA Superstore and was sold.

I purchased this shoe, same style, same size, same country of origin size 8 after searching for 5 months for a size 8 in this style. I have worn this shoe comfortably for over a year in grey and loved them.

I play USTA team tennis. I have worn KSwiss for years. I was relieved to find the last pair, wore them immediately upon arrival out to the courts and have never been so disappointed. They have heal lift, toe slam, the ankle cuff seems to have been attached incorrectly.

The “foam” in the heal/ ankle cuff falls down into the foot bed and needs to be lifted up. The ankle cuff rubs and caused a blister. I need to use a shoe horn to avoid having the material in the heal slip into the shoe.

I’m broken hearted, after searching for a size 8 in my favorite brand and style shoe that it hurts my feet.

I liked these shoes but ultimately returned them because there is little to no arch support. Normally I do not require extra arch supports and my foot is 6M so buying shoes is relatively straightforward for me.

When I tried these on, they felt comfortable in the toe box (whereas others were tight). The cage is sturdy but not so prohibitive an bulky like many other shoes. I decided to wear them around the house and while working at my desk.

But soon, my arches began to ache. If I don’t find other shoes, I may buy these again and try to fit them with orthotics or arch support or similar because otherwise, these shoes are great!.

I got these shoes about 2 weeks ago and was excited to try Babolat shoes out for the first time. I usually wear down the soles of my tennis shoes rather quickly, so I wanted to go with a shoe that was durable but also lightweight and breathable.

Right away, the shoes were comfortable, no break in needed, but after only 2 weeks of owning them (mind you I only play 3-5 times a week) low and behold, a hole was appearing where I drag my toe for my serve.

Later, they continued to get worse to where they have zero traction, a hole, and not to mention they are extremely dirty. I usually take good care of my shoes, but you can’t even clean these. They look moldy and gross! My advice is, if you don’t play that much tennis regularly, say 1-2 times a week or so, these shoes just might work for you! And if you somehow decide to purchase them, I definitely don’t recommend buying them in white! The Babolat label on the shoes also weren’t adhered correctly and began peeling as soon as I tried them on.

I was really looking for a shoe with a warranty, and now just realized that $90+ were spent on a pair of shoes I only got 2 months of use with and that I have to get a brand new pair because the warranty was a spoof.

I could feel the heat of the court butning my feet in the summertime. so although it is a lightweight, breathable shoe, watch out in the warn weather! Just dissapointed.

It’s silly to believe that shoes can improve your game but WOW these did. I’ve only used them for three days (about 8 hours worth of pickleball). They are comfortable, bend easier, lightweight, stability is great.

I’d buy them again in a heartbeat. I did go up a 1/2 size over the 1/2 size I usually go up. (I usually wear a 6 1/2 in all shoes but wear a 7 in sports shoes. I tried a 7 on and needed the 7 1/2). The friends in all of my games these three days said I was on fire.

Words I’ve never heard before. I said it must be the shoes. They are pricey but in my opinion, compared to asics and k-swiss, they are comparable. I’m 63, female, play on outdoor courts, rated 3-3. 5 player.

What beautiful trainers they are indeed. BUT! What is wrong with Babolat sizing ???!!! My son wears a regular shoe size 9 ( even quite comfortable in Sketchers size 8. 5) Ordered 9. 5 thinking wearing on thick sport sock he will be fine.

Definitely not fine! Feet had no room to wiggle whatsoever, felt quite tight overall even with a looser lases. So, unfortunately have to return. So, my opinion is , go 1 size up with those , or travel to the store and try before ordering.

Fuller foot – definitely try first!.

I purchased these because the ASICS Gel Resolution shoes I was using were shot and I had to buy something. There weren’t any in my size in stock. These Babolats are a completely different animal. The ASICS felt much lighter, were easier to put on, and enabled quicker movements.

The Babolat shoes almost feel like boots in comparison. It just feels like it takes a fraction of a second longer to get moving. Also, I developed quad tenonitis after buying these shoes. In all fairness, I don’t know if that was coincidental.

I ended up replacing the inserts that come with the shoes with SuperFeet Black insoles. This was a definite improvement over the stock ones. On a more positive note, these shoes provide superior support for sure.

As other reviewers have noted, once you get past the struggle to get them on, they envelope your feet very well even without tightening the laces very much. If you are worried about an ankle sprain, you can pretty much be at ease since they are almost like high-tops.

I found using a shoehorn is the fastest and least frustrating way to put them on. That said, if I had to do it over, I would opt for the lighter more traditional ASICS shoes.

I love Babolat ProPulse shoes, they fit me so well and the soles are super durable. My first experience with them was with the Fury model and they were great. I did wear the soles out within the warranty period but I played a lot and they honoured the warranty and sent me a new pair, but they sent me the Blast model.

I loved those too. After those wore out I bought the Fury again (they were on sale) from Racquet Guys but I am having issues with them. On my right foot on the inner part there’s a plastic (or really hard thin rubber) that digs into my ankle.

I’ve tried cutting the piece as close to the eye holes as possible and taping it up to provide cushion but it still rubs weird. I ended up ordering another pair of the Blast (these ones) and they’re awesome.

Having work both the Fury and Blast I don’t think the difference between the two warrants the price difference, I’m happy enough with the Blast and now hesitant about the Fury because of the issue I just mentioned.

Best tennis shoes I have used. I know, many people say things like that. But they fit me perfect. The soles have great traction and last longer than any shoe I have owned. Finally, they are so much better than the latest shoes from Babolat (in the same price range).

Only problem, I don’t think Babolat wants to sell them in the USA anymore. Hope that changes.

Bought these when my heavier, “stable” shoes started to feel too clumsy. I also have high arches and narrow heels. These shoes fit wonderfully. They are light, but protective, and have a particularly snug heel, so I get some ankle stability out of them.

The uppers showed signs of wear quickly, but these never developed into any kind of structural damage. The uppers do not stretch out of shape. They also look really nice. Already bought a second pair.

Purchased these shoes in JUNE by DECEMBER they are failing. I play recreationally 2x week 90 AND ALTERNATE with other shoes. the internal cushioning on BOTH shoes is failing AND the flex point on BOTH shoes on the exterior fabric has started to disintegrate.

I contacted TE and was just sent a link to head products that have a six month warrantee so no recourse on these at all. I have had Prince, Adidas and New Balance shoes and never had this happen. a bit disappointed in the TE response as well.

I’ve been playing pickleball in these 2-4 times per week for about 2 months. I think they provide great support and movement. Some questionable durability, the area outside of my small toe on both shoes is starting to split.

Most importantly, and it just might be my foot, but while these shoes perform well they may be the most uncomfortable show I’ve ever worn.

This is not my first choice. I loved model 840 V4 size 8 xxwide because they were a great fit with my AFO (brace) on my left foot. They had an ideal toe box and width for me with no seams around the toe area and were neutral so not to aggravate my supination.

You discontinued this version and went to version 5. The pair of 840V5 that I ordered from you did not seem to fit as well. They were a little snug in the toe. Do you think this could have been just the pair I tried that just were a little different or did you change the mold of the shoe on the V5.

the 1006 model i am trying is not as comfortable and the XXwidth is more pronounced on the outer side of my foot and I ordered an 8 1/2 (1/2 size bigger than normal).

I bought these shoes on line a few weeks ago. I did go to a Sports direct shoe to try these tennis shoes and was told you can only order on line! i need tennis shoes and took a chance and ordered the shoes on line ( ordinarily I would never shoes on line in case they would not fit) delighted that they fit perfectly and are brilliant for tennis so comfortable.

I suffer a little from Planter fasciitis and these shoes are perfect to help my condition. delighted with my purchase.

I’m disappointed they don’t fit the same as my previous SFX shoes, but I still like them. Good cushion and support. The lighter weight fabric on the upper allows my feet to move inside the shoe more than I want, and they are a bit wider construct so I can’t tighten the laces enough to make them a truly snug fit.

I may try a narrow size next time, even though I don’t normally wear narrow shoes.

This is my second pair of these shoes. The first one is about 3 years old and is finally wearing out on the bottom. I ordered the same size in this one and it seems a little longer. At first I thought I would not like that but now I Love it! The cushioned heal hugs your heel tight in a goos way so your feet don’t slip at all.

The little extra length make my toes very happy when I start and stop. I will purchase again. Please keep making this model.

Im so sick hearing about K-Swiss tennis shoes having a large toe box/ forefoot! It was specified that the Hypercourt express 2’s is for someone needing extra room in the toe box. Very misleading and totally false.

I ordered the wide too , I don’t even have a huge forefront and my toes barely had room to move. I had Morton’s Nueroma and these will bring that right back. I play Pickleball and prior to ordering the hypercourt express 2 I ordered the express light.

The express light also said optimum forefront room which was false also. Stay away from Kswiss if you need extra toe box space. I’m done with their misleading features. , I have Adidas Uber- sonic 4’s coming tomorrow.

I hope I can feel my toes move when I put those on. I hope I save a customer the frustration I’ve gone through the last 3 weeks. the ASICS gel resolution 8 2E 3 months ago and that had zero toe box room.

I purchased a pair of Hypercourt Express 2 Men’s Tennis Shoes to play pickleball. I wear a size 10. 5, a popular size judging from their lack of availability on other websites. However the PGA Tour Supertore had the in stock.

The only color available was white, so that’s what I got. I am please with the shoe’s performance, look and feel. I particularly like the wider-than average toe box, a must for many pickoeballers. The shoes are fine after a hundred hours of rigorous play.

I would buy them again.

I’ve been wearing this model, and its close predecessors, for 25 years or more. These shoes are HEAVY, but are comforatble and a great fit for my wide feet, with excellent beginning support. However, I have noticed that the build quality of these shoes has declined over the past several years.

Sometimes the shoe fit is just a bit odd, though wearable, and the support structure starts to wear down in a month. More importantly, the bottom rubberized layer consistently peels off at the heel after perhaps six weeks of pickleball games, something that NEVER used to happen.

I have inquired with customer service but have never received more than an anodyne response. These shoes have served me well, but I’d try another brand if I could find one with a wide fit (the K Swiss wides are not really satisfactory substitutes).

I wear this style sneaker for tennis 4x week. I’ve had 5 pairs in the last 5-6 years. Love the look & usually when worn in they’re very comfortable. I’m btw an 8 & 8. 5. Bought an 8 cause they stretch.

I played in USTA Sectionals this weekend & wore them for the first time on a hard court. In two hours of play I had a huge painful blister underneath a small bunion, a middle toe was sore on top from jamming into the shoe & I had to take them off.

Not sure if the materials used are cheaper or this pair was a bit off, but my left foot is hurt, not forever, but.

Little to no break in required. I have somewhat wide foot, in the E-2E range, wearing a 10. 5EE dress shoe. I had to go up a full size to 11. 5, but very happy with the fit. Found these to be more comfortable than the 3.

0 version. Have been wearing them to drills and weekend doubles matches. Too early to tell about long term wear, but suspect they will be fine given my overall experience with mulitple pairs of head shoes.

Its a little hard to tell from the picture, but the shoes are actually 3-tone, with a dark gray toe section, followed by the yellow neon accent, and a black heel section. Remember to take out the insole and remove the underlying sticker so that the shoes breath properly.

I was a bit hesitant about buying shoes on line but after looking at the many pairs of different shoes I have which are all around the same size, how could I go wrong. Well it appears that the head people might have shrunken their foot ruler somewhat.

They seemed a little tight when prancing around the house but I thought they should be okay, what I didn’t allow for was the fact that feet swell a bit when they get hot. One half size bigger would have been better but in my case they should be still okay and hopefully they will give a little over time.

After reading the blurb on line they sounded like they might have great cushioning but I would rate it as moderate compared to the balance of my footwear. On the plus side the grip is great on synthetic courts, they feel very stable and give you confidence when moving about the court.

If I’m to be fair, maybe some of the stability comes from the fact that they are on the firm side of the scales. The ventilation system seems to works well as my socks seemed noticeably dryer after a good workout on court.

I’ll be honest, it was the price that swayed my acquisition, so I figure that I’m probably getting reasonable value for money and given I’m just a weekend wannabe, they will do just fine until maybe I spy something better.

These fit me very well in length and medium-wide width. But the contouring of the insole did not seem to match the contours of my foot, and I have a very average kind of foot. It also seemed to be very short on cushioning.

Not comfortable, therefore. Returned. The search continues.

Calling all overly analytical people or hesitant online shoppers! Hopefully this review helps you whether you are buying these for yourself or as a gift. I got the black version of the shoe. Shoe quality is fantastic.

It’s not flimsy but it is comfortable and very lightweight. White trim is made of foam, not rubber like a dress shoe. The white trim is matte but the black has a semi sheen to them – it’s not matte but not quite as shiny as a standard dress shoe.

I’m a 10. 5 in tennis/athletic shoes like Nike and Puma, and a 9. 5 or 10 in dress shoes. These fit like a dress shoe – narrow and length-wise they run larger. From heel to the tip of my big toe is about 10.

7 inches long for reference. So if you know your Nike or Puma or similar athletic shoe size, I would go down either a half size or a full size. Going back to the look, they can be used with shorts, jeans, or even dress pants in a more casual setting.

Is $100 expensive? Yes. Would i buy them again? Absolutely. The balance between sneaker and dress shoe makes them versatile so you are essentially getting two shoes in one. Cole Haan is also a higher end brand, so these shoes would make a lovey gift.

One last styling idea would be to replace the black laces with white ones to make them pop. Hope that helps.

I made the mistake of wearing these for the first time when I was on a trip walking around San Francisco. Mere minutes into walking around, I could feel the way the hard section at the bottom of the heel was slicing into the back of my foot like a knife.

I had no choice but to excruciatingly walk in them the rest of the day, by the end of which my heels were ripped to shreds and in desperate need of Neosporin and bandages. The shoes are in the garbage after a single day and my feet will take weeks to heel.

This is the first time I’ve ever bought a shoe online, but I did so because I had bought a previous design of this exact same shoe years ago and loved them. Will never ever buy a shoe that I can’t try on in person first again.

Lesson learned.

I just bought these thinking they’d be the same quality as the Cole Haan GrandPro sold on the Cole Haan website but these seem very cheap quality. The inside doesn’t even list leather in the material but rather manmade.

The foam soles are also very cheap compared to the GrandPro’s I’ve purchased at Cole Haan stores. I assume these are made specifically for Mens warehouse. I’d say these feel like $35 dollar shoes.

Using these for Pickleball. Needed to find a comfortable shoe with support and toe room especially with all the quick starts and stops required for Pickleball. I was wearing KSwiss Ultrashot court shoes which are pretty but don’t have a lot of toe room in terms of the height of the shoe at the toe.

I typically wear an 8. 5 medium and to go with a size 9 medium in these New Balance FuelCell 996v4. 5 having read online elsewhere that these were comfortable. Greatest decision ever made! Wore them right out of the box for several hours on the PB courts.

No break in period required. I used the insoles that came with the shoe and they worked fine but with a half size larger I’m going to try my Super Feet insoles. Plenty of toe room 👍. The last time on the courts a gal asked what brand shoe I was wearing bc they were so cute 😁.

Can’t speak to durability since I’ve only been wearing them a few weeks. I highly recommend them. Get them fast. They’re hard to find anywhere else.

I’ve been using these for fencing. Lighter than the Kempa Pros, weighs slightly less, and the fuelcell cushioning feels great! The rubber and drag strip are barely dented on a metal strip. These actually come in a wide, so they do not squeeze my feet.

Comfortable all day. For action, the wide forefoot design gives you great balance when you’re on your toes. I know it’s for the wrong sport, but 4 stars cause it meets all of my needs, except on heel strikes – it needs a heel cup to take some of the impact.

A pair of insoles have reduced that sore spot. Perfect otherwise. True to size – Foot size EU 40 wide Shoe size 8 wide Point of comparison: ordered the Fuelcell Rebel v2 in the same size and width. Both have the same fit* *The 996 are stiffer and have more structure to them.

I use the shoes three times a week for about 10-15 hours. I love New Balance running shoes because of the larger foot bed. So I decided to try the pickleball shoes. I love the shoes as they are they have a narrower/more supportive fit.

The trick is getting an off the shelf insole to fit in the shoe as it presses the foot up to the top of the shoe and is very uncomfortable. Usually I go up a size due to insoles. Which may solve the problem but I already bought the shoes and didn’t know this would be a problem.

The insoles sounded like they would be great from the description. They are really just removable weak pads. I have been trying insoles to get some to work and the only insole to work with the shoe is a 3/4 length.

If you don’t mind an average arch support, I love the shoe function and style.

I have a narrow foot, and if I ever need to change sizes, it’s to size down, not up. I don’t understand why most of the reviews indicated to size down, when my experience with this show is the complete opposite.

I believe the sizing description now shows the correct American sizing, when I ordered it showed 37, which is typically 6. 5. The shoe itself showed 37 EU/ 6 US. The size six fits very tight. I know after standing for a few minutes it will bother me.

Ordering size 7 (38). hoping this one fits right because I loved them.

I really really love these shoes. They are exactly what I was looking for a – a white sneaker that’s trendy but not the same shoe I see every other person wearing. I am a true 7. 5 and I wound up ordering the 7 based on previous reviews.

The 7 did fit with a small/thin liner sock but I definitely couldn’t wear a normal sock with them. I wore them for about 3 months before my son got sick & I had to wash them. Unfortunately they shrank even more.

I can still wear them but they’re tight. I might order again because I like them so much but if I do, I will try an 8.

This is the second pair of these I have bought for my husband. The first pair was white/green and now white/navy which he said he prefers. I buy them each time summer rolls around as they’re perfect for this warm weather.

I like how stylish and unique they are and lightweight. Husband says they’re very comfortable, too!.

Bensimon tennis shoes are what they are, a good basic lightweight retro style tennis shoe. A timeless classic which has never dated. Outside France they’re quite a niche product. Buy a pair and see what you think.

Chose the European size I usually wear, and they were a little snug at first, but have broken in nicely and are comfortable. I wear them everyday playng with kids at park, and around town too. Very cute and still practical!.

I’ve always had problems with holes wearing in the soles of my right shoes, directly underneath my big toe, regardless of the brand or model. ASICS was probably the one major brand I had yet to try when I bought my first pair of Gel-Challenger-13’s.

The first pair, which I bought approximately six months ago, held up so well that I bought a second pair as soon as I noticed my size was in stock, about a month ago, even though I had plenty of life left in the original pair.

I’ve never gotten six months out of a pair of shoes. Not only have these been incredibly durable, but they’re very comfortable and light. Without a doubt, this is the best shoe I’ve ever played in. I’ve recommended them to probably every player I know.

I will continue to buy ASICS, and this shoe, specifically, from now on.

i put these on this morning and for the first 5 minutes I was worried that they were a little boxy feeling. I’ve been wearing the same shoes for too long I guess. After walking around my house for a bit I really grew to love the solid feel and support they provide.

Played in them today and they were fabulous. Great support, quick reaction time, and firm footing. I love the dark blue with pink accents. They don’t feel like there is too much plastic to be comfortable.

Some of the shoes feel too rubbery but this is not the case with these. I very glad I went for the Gel-Challenger 13 Clay.

Very comfortable. Bought a pair for myself and 14 yo daughter. Size is perfect for her average to narrow foot, a little snug on my average to wide foot. Ordered true to size for her, 1/2 size up for myself.

Broke in quickly. After one 90 minute training session we both felt our shoes fit well after a few laces adjustments. Very comfortable on landing, good grip on the court. No foot pain during or after.

This was my first time playing in over 10 years! Overall, couldn’t be more pleased! Would totally purchase again.

Let’s set the record straight: I stopped wearing sneakers as casual shoes since middle school as I felt they made me too masculine, especially since I have big feet (size 10). But I’ve seen people rocking these so I gave it a try and it was love at first try! They’re soooo comfortable, and they look fantastic.

I had accidentally ordered the Streetcheck on sale but returned them for this one as to me, these are more comfortable to walk in (my feet started hurting in the Streetcheck after 30-45 min of walking around the house), I don’t like the seashell toe in the Streetcheck, and these are slightly cheaper.

I am so excited to rock these! I will come back to update after I’ve worn them out multiple times to discuss how they hold up (hopefully DSW allows edits). Sizing consideration: I’m typically a size 10.

I sized down to 9. 5 in the Streetcheck and it fit, but the 10 fits perfectly in these Grand Court sneakers. Just FYI.

I just bought these yesterday. Because the DSW website says a lot of people say that they run a little big, I ordered half a size down, and they do fit perfectly (I wear a 9, ordered a 8. 5). However after wearing them for about 3-4 hours today, the back of my foot (at the achilles) was super sore and bright red.

Upon getting home from work after a 9 hour day I could barely walk. I wore low cut socks which obviously gave me less protection in that area but it’s a shame because that area that rubbed continually against my foot is actually soft and padded, so I’m not sure how to remedy this.

I’d really rather not wear higher socks as I’m not really into that look, but I’m going to have to figure something out because I know I’m going to have blisters tomorrow :(.

These sneakers are SO comfy and stylish! I have been wanting a pair of white sneakers for awhile and I love leopard, so these seemed like a no-brainer. I’m really glad I listened to other reviews and ordered a half size down.

I usually always wear a size 9. I ordered the 8. 5 and I honestly probably could have worn the size 8 as the 8. 5 were still roomy, but I didn’t want to fool with exchanging. They have great support and go with a lot of outfits.

Definitely recommend, but SIZE down at least a half size and maybe a full size.

Terrible shoes. The diagonal laces across the foot are a disaster. The inside lining of the shoe is too slippery, my feet slide around inside of the shoe. Trying to slide in these shoes means you ram your toes into the top of the shoes.

The tongue is a ridiculously thin material, doesn’t protect the front ankle tendons from the laces that run right across them. The laces do not go closely enough to the toes, so I can’t tie my shoes tightly enough or have an even distribution of tension across my foot.

There are less loops for the laces meaning there is more tension on each loop hurting my feet. The outer sole is not durable. They really tried to do something but all they did was destroy the shoe. Very disappointing.

It makes me wonder, did they have people who actually play intense tennis try out these shoes before they gave them the go-ahead? All of my teammates hate these things but we are forced to wear them.

I love these sneakers and have been playing exclusively in them the past 18 months – I always have two pair rotating, and play in them 4-6months, I play 10 hours per week+. I tried the NXTs and found them super loose around the ankle and in the toe box.
