20 Best Women’S Driver For Beginners (2023 Updated)

I am a 53 year old southpaw and have been golfing on and off for 30 years, the last 20 has been at a 16-18 handicap. I’ve lost about a half a club length off my distance in the last year due to age, with an average decent drive in the 230-240yds range.

My current driver had been a Titleist 910 D2 and the usual dispersion pattern for my drives has long been characterized by a frequent fade. This 10. 5 degree Epic Max driver (dialed dow to 9. 5) has straightened out my drives and mishits noticeably.

The fade is almost imperceptible when I do mis-hit it and I occasionally have a small draw, that is without even changing the settings to a draw bias. My last outing I was either in the fairway or just out of the fairway on seven out of seven drivable holes.

The fades are definitely not as prominent and the distance is about 25 yards longer than what I was hitting. For an intermediate player like me the forgiveness factor for this club is exactly as advertised.

Purchased a month ago, and am very happy I did. I was using a 17 year old Great Big Bertha before. I averaged 250-280 with it. I now average 280-300. This is huge! My longest drive ever came in just my second round with it.

332 yards! I will admit that it is not nearly as forgiving as my old driver. I am a better striker now though and it has not been a huge issue. Hitting on the higher side of the face produces a very poor shot.

Due to this I have had to tee my ball lower. Once I made that adjustment, it greatly decreased my shorter drives. Outside of the center shots, feel like and result in a dead ball flight. This driver may require a good strike, but the added distance it gave me is well worth it.

I used to have a spinning issue that could balloon my ball flights and shorten my total yardage. This driver has all but eliminated the ballooning I used to deal with. I love seeing my drives run down the fairway for additional yardage.

I play in a windy state, and the lower height is almost a necessity.

I’ve played 10 rounds with the H4 that replaced the same club from a different maker. The counter weighting along with the new shaft and head provide me with a solid strike, great feel, good trajectory, improved accuracy and 13 more yards.

I went back and got the 5 fairway and 3 fairway. The 5 provides the same results. The 3 provides nearly the same results. My scores have improved and it’s more fun to play and practice with these clubs.

XXIO grips are not easy to get. Substitutes for the counter weighted XXIO grips do not exist as far as I know. The fairway clubs came with plus size Winn grips. They are not the same and do not deliver the same results.

I was able to get XXIO plus size grips, thankfully.

I currently have a XXIO driver and 5 wood-11 series. I purchased a new XXIO-12 3 wood, and it’s by far the best wood in the bag. It lives up to XXIO’s information about hitting the sweet spot much more often.

It truly is an “almost” never miss club, truly remarkable. I would recommend this XXIO “12” series to anyone who is looking to improve their game. As with all XXIO products, ben lazy, and swing easy and let the club work for you!.

I just received my LTDx LS, 9. 0 with the HZRDUS Smoke iM10 60 stiff shaft. I’m completely blown away by its playability! I unboxed it and headed right to the range. To be fair, it’s replacing a 15 year-old Nike Sumo SQ driver that I’ve had from new, but there’s literally no comparison.

It is super long in comparison to my old driver, and plays so straight. Even mishits are longer than the solid strikes of the old Nike. I’m completely blown away by this driver. I literally giggled on my first drive because I was shocked at how far I hit it, and then it was just more of the same, drive after drive.

If you’re looking for a very long, and forgiving driver, this is it!.

I bought this driver about 2 weeks ago. Took it out for my first ‘test drive’ last week. Man, this driver is a game changer! My 1st drive was dead straight about 230 yards (plugged). Hit 5 more drives (played 9), all solid.

Best drive was about 275 (big hit for me) with cross wind and 55 degrees. Anyway, this club is the real deal. I tried a bunch of drivers, and this one gave me the best numbers, but also felt the best….

most solid. I have never spent more than $250 on any single club, but this club was definitely worth the money! Enthusiastically recommended!!!.

I hopped on a Trackman at my local fitter along with the LTDx LS, TM Stealth & Stealth Plus & last year’s Titleist TSi2 which seemed to be well-suited for my numbers and the latest Callaway. This LTDx is no doubt a front-runner among the new driver offerings for 2022.

One REALLY has to hop on a launch-monitor with all the driver heads along with their shaft offerings to really get a gauge of what is best for them. Every swing is like a unique fingerprint. was this among the longest and most forgiving? Yes.

it definitely was. One thing to also factor. is towards the end of the hour-long Trackman session hitting a TON of driver and shaft combinations. my body starts getting tired. perhaps the swing starts getting a bit sloppy.

I purchased the Stealth Plus 9 degree driver around a month ago from Golf Galaxy and I very happy with the performance up to this point. I have only played about 4 to 5 rounds with my Stealth Plus so far but the results have been great.

Once TaylorMade launched the Stealth lineup I immediately knew I was going to purchase one but I wasn’t sure which one fit my game. I purchased the Callaway XR speed last year and the performance was okay but I wanted to change up and get fitted for the newest technology.

I scheduled a fitting at golf galaxy and went in with the mindset that I was going to get the stealth not the Stealth Plus. Started out by hitting my old driver (Callaway XR speed) and the results were not good lol Very high spin rate (5,000-6,000 range) and drives only carrying around 230-240 at best.

Then I hit the Stealth and Stealth Plus and the results were similar between the two but the Stealth Plus had the advantage for me. Results for Stealth Plus were low spin (2,000-3,000 range) and drives carrying around 260-270.

I had 2 drives over 300 yards! The regular Stealth had around the same data but higher spin resulting in lower yards off the tee. Dispersion was similar between the two as well. All of the data was from the trackman, hitting in a bay but I was very impressed with what I was seeing.

I ended up purchasing the Stealth Plus 9 degree extra stiff shaft. My natural drive shot shape is a cut and sometimes a slice. It took me a while to get down that this driver keeps my shot shape much straighter.

Once I got that down, I am hitting it around 10-15 yards further consistently and I’m able to keep my ball flight lower and straighter. Id highly recommend to get fitted for this driver and bring your old driver so you can compare statistics on the trackman between the two.

Hopefully this is convincing enough to pull the trigger on this beast.

I’m a 20 handicap occasional golfer, intending to play more often, so have been considering an equipment upgrade for a while. Drivers have got expensive! So, it took me a while to summon the courage to splash out on the Stealth HD Driver.

Having previously bought through a pro shop, I was hesitant to go direct, but I had a good idea of what I needed from a loft and shaft point of view so I went online. The chat support was v helpful – and the fact that my previous driver was an R15 TaylorMade helped.

The Stealth HD looks great, feels good in the grip and the head is a sensible size – big enough to instill confidence but not too enormous to draw withering attention from your playing partners. I’m not a good enough golfer to give you chapter and verse on the performance, but I am a bad enough golfer to let you know that this club is extremely FORGIVING!!! My frequent flare to the right has been reined in – a lot.

My mishits have resulted in surprising distance. The performance of the club overall adds confidence when you’re standing on the tee and that has been huge for me. I didn’t get any extra distance over my previous driver with the new Stealth HD, but I have achieved considerably more accuracy – and that has been worth the price of admission.

I have been a 15 hcp for years due to not being able to keep a driver in play. My driver swing speed is 98-103 typically. Iron play and putting are fine, strokes gained analysis showed what I knew- I’m a 25 hcp off the tee and a 5 hcp after the tee shot.

My last “few” drivers were. Titlest 813- when I hit the sweet spot, ball was hammered, out to 270 yds, but yardage greatly dropped on off center hits- which are my norm. Ping G400- Very forgiving and a huge improvement over the 813, but I was giving up yardage-quite a bit.

Gamed it got almost 3 years, then in the quest for more distance, off to the. Sim 2- much better distance, but I think poorly fitted shaft for my swing- I had no control over the club face. Sometimes open, sometimes closed, sometimes square.

I switched shafts with another who had the Rouge shaft and it was much straighter. Went to get fitted for a new shaft, but hit the Stealth plus and couldn’t go back. So now. Stealth Plus 9 degree with the stock Rouge shaft in stiff, 1/2” shorter than standard.

I hit all but 1 fairway first round I played. Drives were 255-260 typically and a VERY tight dispersion. Longest drive 283. My playing partners were in awe especially from ME being the one doing that- it’s not my MO.

The club head speed is up about 2 mph, ball speed is up about 3mph. Mishits don’t hurt much. I have found driving Nirvana.

There was no issue with the product. I cannot speak on product performance as I did not use the club. I bought this driver after attending a golf show. However the driver I tried at the show was the light version and had a different shaft.

I decided that the driver may be heavier and longer than I wanted. Additionally because of the counterweight in the shaft I was concerned about having the shaft shortened and the effect of the weighting.

Nice looking driver and seems to be priced where I want to be for my game.

I moved into this driver from a Cleveland Turbo HB Draw 10. 5 and gained about ten yards on average, with less dispersion. The sound is lower pitch that the HB if that matters at all. The Your Velvet grip is nice and tacky without shredding your glove, as compared to the Lamkins on my irons.

Overall this club is a great deal. I tried a friend’s TM Sim 2 Max and didn’t send the ball any farther and cost $150 more.

This club is very light weight and has an A shaft. It is a bit longer than my TS1 R with 40 shaft weight. I am finding it a bit difficult to swing well – doesnt make sense, I know. When hit well, no perceptible added distance vs the TS1.

My swing speed is barely 75 mph (also doesn’t make sense – but can’t fix. ). It’s not the clubs.

Bin golfing for a long time, usually use cheap knock off brands for clubs. Decided to dive into some branded clubs to see if todays technology would help or not, and no disappointment here! Took a couple weeks to get use to but I’m loving it.

Drives went from 240 yards with my old driver that was part of a cheap set up to 280+ yards with the M4. Pretty forgiving also. It doesn’t automatically fix a slice or anything but when you hit the ball bad it gives you really good distances regardless.

Would recommend to anyone wanting to step up there clubs without breaking the bank. Only other thing I would like to see on this driver is a slide weight.

Love the feel, look and performance of the sim2 max. 100%. I bought mine with the ventus blue 5s shaft and 9 degree head. It actually allowed me to be more aggressive on my second shots. What I didn’t care for was the durability.

My first one had the carbon plate on the bottom begin to pop off. It was replaced promptly, but the second one had it happen on the top plate, not to mention there was something rattling inside. I had to return it to a local retailer and am waiting on a replacement head now.

I don’t know how many heads the pros go through but playing pretty frequently myself, I don’t expect to have to replace drivers this frequently considering the cost.

I don’t get new clubs often. With a 24 handicap, I struggle. My last driver was a 10. 5 degree TaylorMade Burner 3. 0 (2013 retailer exclusive). Now using a used (2 rounds, previous owner injured for the season) Sim2 Max (9 degree).

My best drive with the Burner this season was 224 yard (carry) with a 141 mph ball speed. First time out with this driver and I had a 233 yard carry with 150 mph ball speed. All with an accidental adjustment to make it 8.

25 degrees. Can’t wait to see what happens when I use 9 degrees! The best part? I used to hook drives 30% of the time, 38 yards on average. Now it’s a draw, 12 yards. Great club, great feel. When properly adjusted, maybe I can drop that handicap by 4 or 5.

I just started getting into golf again after a 24 year hiatus. The last TaylorMade club I owned was the Tour Burner Plus 95° that I acquired way back in the 1980’s. I was not prepared for what I experienced with my new SIM2 Max.

This is an amazing driver and the fact that you can now adjust the loft and other settings is simply amazing. I’ve only taken it out to the range two times but I am already hooked. I’ll be out on the course in a couple of days and I can’t wait to try it in real action.

I am already confident with this club as I find it easy to hit my shallow draw and I can easily get a fade if I need it. This is a great driver that is easy to hit and gives you plenty of power off the tee.

Honestly I have owned drivers from all the major manufacturers with the exception of Titleist. The Air X Offset 10. 5 degree has given me the best and most consistent drives. As a senior golfer I don’t expect more than a true measured 190 carry and maybe 10-20 yard rollout.

This driver has given me these numbers. The non adjustability is fine with me and it allowed Cobra to shave weight. Perhaps the most enjoyment is lending it to my golf buddies for a hit and they all are amazed at how the club performs.

I am one of those players that has struggled with getting off the tee but now that is a thing of the past. This club has contributed to shooting my age a few times a year!.

I was having trouble hitting my 6-iron but having much more success with my 3-4-5- hybrids so I thought I would purchase the Cobra Air-X Hybrid 6-rescue. I’m glad I did! It hits clean and pure and makes good contact.

The ball travels 20+ yards further than my best of shots with my traditional 6-iron. It glides through the rough easily. Being 73 years old, I find the use of a hybrid much easier that those long irons.

A good switch!.

I bought a new Callaway Epic Max last fall, and used it in about 12 rounds. I was not getting distance and I developed something of a slice. I traded it for the Cobra Air X, in February. What a difference.

I got my distance back plus about an additional 15%, and the slice disappeared. And I’m swinging much smoother with this new club. I’ve got about 30 rounds with it, and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’ve been playing the SIM for 2 years. I loved the SIM for it’s low spin and penetrating flight. My complaints have been because it’s so low spin if I miss left it can be off the planet. My miss with the driver is high on the face and the SIM is a relatively small face compared to SIM max and newer drivers.

I tested the SIM2 and I just couldn’t get comfortable with it. The feel was too different and something about it just didn’t work for me. This year when Stealth was released I went right down to my shop to try it out along side my gamer and SIM2.

I got the same results with the SIM2 which were just too spinny and uncomfortable. When I hit the Stealth first at 9 degrees I found it stable but a little too much spin. Once I used the sleeve to take off loft I started hitting very straight shots with perfect spin characteristics.

It also offers me far more area to miss on the face high. TM isn’t joking when they say 20% more face compared to SIM. On miss-hits I’m still getting close to the same carry but what’s more important for me personally is my misses are much closer to the center line than I was seeing with SIM.

I’m seeing slightly higher ball speeds 1-2 MPH but it’s a much more stable/straight driver than SIM for me.

This is a really good fairway club for an average player. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money just incase I didn’t get on with it. I was really surprised how forgiving it is, even with a not so good shot it still goes a long way.

Worth the money and more.

For the money you think this is not a quality purchase. On arrival, surprise a head cover, good looking shaft with a 12 degree head. Nicely presented wrapped in thin plastic which is difficult to remove.

The grip is slender and the shaft shorter than standard, I think. How does it perform; the offset looks odd and the ball position has to be adjusted but when your confidense grows the club performs really well.

Distance from the tee is up with the big boys and it’s accuracy is reliable, eleminating the usual fade. I have regripped to a standard plus size, love the club and it is this years best purchase.

I use it when playing. It was a specific need related to beginners as I am. I am very happy with my acquisition, was anxious to test it. I wasnt wrong at all. Great help at big distances.

So, I got fitted for a driver and I went in with a few in mind and this was on the list, but wow. It was so much more consistent and further then all the drivers I tried. I tried Cleveland, Callaway, Titleist, even the speedzone and Radspeed.

The LTDX LS at a 9. 0 with a stiff shaft was the best for me. I’ve only used on the range and again super consistent! Will be trying a really difficult course this weekend on a guys trip, hopefully I smoke them with this! The only thing I wish I waited 3 more days because now they give credit to top golf and golf now.

Could used that!.

As a gear junkie I am giddy about this driver. I am coming from the Rad Speed XB which I still really enjoy. I am most surprised by the feel of the LS. It’s fantastic. I was looking for something with a little less spin.

While I can still hit 3,600 rpm of backspin if I try, it’s much easier to hit a drive with 2,000 rpm of backspin with the LS without it being a duck hook. I have also gained a little bit of club head speed because of the shape.

The LS is also surprisingly forgiving. The Smoke IM10 is great with this head. A+.

Purchased a TW sand wedge with a few custom modifications, I ordered with an alternate shaft and bent strong one degree to be 55*. Club was shipped directly from Taylormade quickly which I was happy about.

Unfortunately after having the club checked by a reputable club builder, basically every spec was off. The length which was supposed to be standard was over half an inch short, the loft was 56, and the swingweight was significantly lighter than what’s listed as standard partially due to the shortened length.

I am extremely disappointed with the build quality from TM and expected more from such a big/reputable brand in this industry. Now I’m stuck with a club that is too short and would have to use a shaft extension to play at standard length.

Subpar quality control from the build shop at TM which unfortunately seems to be a relatively common issue. Side note the club head and grind are great. I’m just disappointed with my experience ordering a club with custom specs.

These Milled Grind 3 wedges are versatile for my game. I can hit it square or open it up on tight or fluffy lies. But the biggest difference I have experienced is how the MG3 gets the ball out of the bunker.

The wedge seems smoother and glides easier (sorry Ping) through the sand (and on grass for that matter). And this is in hard-packed, wet sand or standard muni, coarse sand. My technique is not all that great, but I’m guessing it is due to the milled grind sole, like it won’t get stuck.

Regarding the grooves and “raw” face, the teeth do seem to grab and spin the ball more than my Vokeys, and I play a firm ball. If there is one complaint, the MG3 definitely feels harder than Vokeys with the MG3 using a Tour Issue shaft.

Not sure if that has something to do with it. While I am still getting used to them, I feel more confident out of the bunker and in trying different shots, like flops to a tight pin location. Both of which I normally dread.

While I wish the wedge felt a little softer, I really can’t complain about the versatility and confidence it has given me.

Played these for almost a year now , about 40 rounds. Try to ignore reviews where they state right out of the box or played once and love them. Let’s hit them for awhile and really know the results. I love these irons.

Knew because of loft would be hitting one club less , 8 has replaced 7 and so on , but man these things fly. The 5 iron , nicknamed rocket , is now my driving iron. Being a senior golfer and play form the senior tees do play some par 4s that are less than 340 yards.

Well hello Rocket , so far has maxed out at 231 , averaged off tee 215-220. They are so solid , much easier to hold solid through contact. Slice is now a rarity , wish I could say non existent. Sound off impact is clear solid and refreshing.

Have read some reviews about holding their finish , mine have held up great. I play public courses so terrain not always the best , but mine have held up very well. Made such an impact on me and results one of my golf partners now owns a set and loves them.

They are beautiful irons that fly true straight and long and really help this old body when it doesn’t fell like helping.

Acquired the SIM Max #7 Rescue club about six months ago to replace my (Callaway Strata Ultimate 7 iron with a 34degree loft), which has proven very difficult for me to hit, as a beginner, of two years.

The SIM Max Rescue club allows me to hit 130 yards, or so, with way more ease and accuracy than the evil 7 iron. Yesterday, the recently ordered SIM 2 Max #3 hybrid arrived. Tomorrow, a regulation 18-hole course with this new club is highly anticipated.

The Callaway Strata Plus #3 fairway wood that I’ve been using has worked well for me. However, due to the good success with the #7 SIM Max Rescue club, it will be nice to see how well the #3 works for me.

The SIM2 Max #3 has 19 degrees versus 15 degrees with the Callaway Strata Plus 3 fairway wood. Hoping for straighter shotsy from the fairway with a little more loft and more success, with longer shots form the rough, with this new club.

As a long time player, this is quite possibly the worst club, I have ever used. No fault of Golf Town or to trash Wilson Golf as I also own the D7 driver and irons which are excellent. It has a “sweet spot” the size of a dime, Anything outside of that sounds and feels striking the ball with a wooden 2X4.

The carbon fiber head and bottom 10 gram weight lowers the “CGI” so much that it will ruin a decent golf swing. Removing the weight brings this club back to a driver circa 1965. Memo to myself and others, always test the clubs in store before purchasing rather than relying on “past Brand performance”, “marketing hype” or “suspect” online reviews.

At 6 feet tall, this regular flex 4 hybrid is perfect my height. Any age of a person should be able to hit this club pretty well. If you take your time and hit the ball clean, you will get some nice distance with this club.

I love the way it sounds when you strike the ball. This club has gotten me out of a lot of trouble situations on the course. I’ve saved a stroke or two, many of times with this club. I highly recommend it.

P. S. The grip is very nice. The club is lightweight, and it comes with a nice head cover.

I bought this driver and two days after receiving it, I took it to the range just to get a feel of it. After my fifth drive, the head broke cleanly off the shaft and went 80 yards down the range (lost forever).

The crazy thing is that the track man at the range showed that I hit a 240 yard drive almost dead center. I’m not sure what caused the head to fly off, but it definitely took my breath away.

I got this Sand wedge for my wife. She plays golf scrambles a few times a year with me. She now loves this ping g le 2 sand wedge. She uses it for full shots, lob shots, sand shots and chipping. I think the 58 degree loft is brilliant.

She gets a lot closer to the hole, has less mishits, and her scoring has improved vs her previous sand wedge from her 12 year old other brand cavity back set. I find it difficult to convince her to upgrade her golf equipment because she is frugal and doesn’t golf a ton.

Since experiencing results firsthand with this Ping gle 2 SW she is considering upgrading to the ping g le 2 iron set 6-gap wedge.

I got these custom made for my very petite size. Waited 2. 5 months but it was worth it. I started learning on a great ladies Callaway set from the 90s that were too long for me. Decided to splurge on new Ping custom-made clubs instead of cutting down the old set and I’m very glad I did.

The lighter weight of the Ping clubs allows for greater maneuverability and higher swinger speeds. The exact size for my frame means I can make much better contact with the ball. Took a while to adjust from the longer set but I’ve finally hit my groove 3 months after getting them.

The one improvement: remove all the screws in the bottom of the heads of the woods and hybrids where dirt can catch. The Callaways had a smooth continuous surface and I think that’s much better.

I first have to tell all the women how I came to play Pings. DON’T listen to your husbands or girlfriends EVER and don’t accept hand me down husband/boyfriend clubs – it does affect your game negatively due to balance (fulcrum – the balance is completely different on a women’s club), stiffness of shaft and weight of the head (men’s clubs are heavier and yes, in golf, everything matters with regard to women – men’s clubs, I don’t care about except that if you swing a women’s club, then a men’s club, you will feel the difference immediately.

) Go get professionally fitted. I went to Golf Galaxy and told the fitter to bring every single women’s club they had and not to tell me brand or price. He brought out seven 7 irons (that is the club used for fitting.

) I hit Callaways, Adams, Cobra, TaylorMade, Mizuno, Titleist and Pings. Seriously, I had no idea what I was hitting. I did not look at the shafts, I did not look at the heads. Two immediately stood out for their “feel”.

I dismissed, without knowing what they were, the Callaway, Cobra, TaylorMade, Mizuno and Titleist. The remaining two that felt natural in my hands and with my swing were unknowin by me the Adams and the Ping Rhapsody.

After swinging the Adams, I swung the Ping. Game over! Swinging the Ping was like hitting through soft butter. The balance was incredible and through my entire swing and hitting the ball, the club just felt soft, forgiving and accurate.

The Adams were o. k. , but the Pings felt exceptional, and for me, it is all about feel. If you don’t enjoy every aspect of swinging the club, your enjoyment of the golf game is compromised. I bought the Rhapsody 2015s and ABSOLUTELY knew they were the best, most tuned in clubs for me.

I played the heck out of them and played very well. I swore I would have them forever. but technology can’t be ignored when one is a golfer. There are so many tehnological advances every five years, I knew at some point I would buy new clubs.

I decided to get new clubs and my only choice was Ping – the feel, forgiveness, accuracy, consistency of their women’s clubs is un-matched by ANY other clubmaker – according to several of my fitter friends at several different golf shops.

I bought the new G Le2s after being fitted by Ping when they were in Colorado doing remote fittings. Since I knew I was buying Pings again, I wanted Ping to fit me, and I wanted a woman fitter. Kerry was outstanding! She really knows her clubs and fitting.

She changed a couple of lengths on my hybrid shafts 4, 5 and 6 (I bought the 6 hybrid because I have never hit my 6 iron well and I hit the 6 hybrid like a LPGA pro!) I also didn’t buy the 7 hybrid because I consistently hit my 7 iron 120 yards and have been known to hit the ball 140 yards with in emergency situations.

These new G Le2s have the same feel, forgiveness, consistency and balance of my old Rhapsody’s and I am playing them superbly. I don’t work for Ping, I buy my own equipment and these clubs are outstanding.

Welll done, Ping – when you have repeat customers, that says it all.

After playing a Taylormade Driver for 20+ years I finally tried something new. TM was the first to have the larger heads, first the 320 CC, then the 360CC and so forth. I purchased several over the years, they really changed the game for new golfers.

The last one I purchased was the Sim. The curved club face just didn’t work for me. I then won a Callaway Driver in pick the pro for the US Open win and chose Rahm, got a Callaway Speed. Pretty good but inconsistent, low ball flight and it had an unimpressive sound.

Then after having some wine I made a low ebay bid on the Tsi2 and won for $260. It took a bit of getting used to, but when you find the sweet spot there is a magical high pitched “ting” and the ball goes forever.

15 yards farther than the Sim and and a bit longer that the Callaway Speed but much more consistent in part to a LARGE sweetspot. My SS can be up to 106 mph but 95-98 is where I can be consistent. With the correct launch angle (15*) and thinking of contact, not crushing the ball, drives are 270 plus.

Overall my favorite driver yet. try it, you will be glad you did.

First, get properly fitted; thank you PGA Superstore Lawrenceville. I would buy this club just based on the sound of the ball coming off the face, but add in the extra club head speed due to the engine of the club (Tensei light-weight shaft) that translates into extra distance, along with the Sure-Fit hosel and CG track technology that allows you to tune this club in, and the stylish traditional look; and you have a beast that has everyone in you group saying WOW when you hit it.

Did I mention that I’ve never heard a better sounding club, hard to describe, but it’s very solid and powerful, it will turn heads. I would find a way to make this club work just based on the sound, but I didn’t have to thanks again to the folks at PGA Superstore (get a Studio Fitting).

With this club dialed in, I gained 4-6 MPH club-head speed and increased my distance by +18 yards compared to my 915 D3. I attribute my handicap going from a 7. 9 to 6. 4 in just over a month to this club.

I listed faster club speed as a con, in that you will need to adjust your swing for the increased speed that you will generate, a very little inconvenience considering the benefits you’ll derive (hitting wedges into the green versus short to mid irons).

Highly recommend this club (properly fitted) to any golf enthusiast that wants to improve their game.

I purchased the TSi1 driver with the light shaft (40g), regular flex. The club was to upgrade from my Cobra offset driver. Due to a tendency to produce a fade or mild slice, I have been using various editions of the Cobra offset driver for years.

After getting older (67) I was getting fed up with losing so much distance off the tee to my playing partners so decided to check out some new products that were appropriate for my age and could be adjusted for my swing.

I tested the Callaway Epic, Taylormade Sim 2, and the Titleist TSi1 driver on the range at Heron Glen Golf Course in Flemington NJ. I quickly dismissed the Epic, and concentrated on the other two clubs.

It was a close choice to be fair but the Titleist produced the straight, repeatable shot I wanted so I opted for the TSi1 which was set up with the hosel settings set to D3. I played my first round with it yesterday, and I am ecstatic about this club.

It produced predictable solid drives all day which were on average at least 20 yards further than I was used to hitting the ball. This resulted in using shorter clubs into greens which as expected resulted in better scores.

I LOVE this Titleist driver and would highly recommend it to anyone who is now a senior, has always fought a slice, and is looking for more distance. I will be returning for a fairway wood and some hybrids as soon as I have the money!.
