Best Wizard Build Season 12 (2024 Updated)

We love the Charms and Potions Expansion! More of the same great playing, with the addition of Ginny as a Hero, ability to play 5 Heroes at a time, and addition of a new Potions mechanism. However. the Hogwarts cards in this new expansion are slightly bigger than the cards in the original base game and the previous expansion (Monster Book of Monsters), so it is difficult to shuffle them together and can be frustrating.

Also, we would also love to see Ability cards for both Ginny and Luna in order to play them in the base game.

Awesome expansion to an already great game. New cards that allow you to banish cards in your hand or replace the Hogwarts cards available to aquire are a nice add in. The potions and charms aspects added are a lot of fun.

Some pair very well with different proficiencies. All around happy with the expansion, now all we need is some card sleeves for the dark arts cards and a way to regain banished cards!.

Genuinely good addition to the base game. Lots of new spells, locations and a new character to play, which refreshes the game nicely. But the best part is the potions and charms aspect, which add another layer to the game play without making the game too complicated or slowing things down.

This is a very cool set. You’ve got Lego’s new, Sirius Black, his godson, Harry Potter, Two Dementors, and The Patrounus Stag! It comes with two wands (One for Harry and an extra one in case you lose one).

The landscape matches very well to the film. There’s a tree that can fire Expecto Patronum, which is a little weird. But all in all, an excellent set with a total of 121 pieces. Get it for a Potterhead and they’ll love it.

This LEGO set is amazing. The mini figures are very true to the movies, and I’m very impressed with the detail. The bottom of the dementors is very impressive, and the stag Patronus is beautiful. They’re so great that I’d pay just to have the figures.

I’m very happy I got this item.

We have no complaints. Love this set! My daughter got it for Christmas and she also got a blind bag that came with Edna Mode. She borrowed Edna’s teacups so Sirius Black and a Dementor could have tea together.

It was nice to see them set aside their differences.

I have been a body and pant man for 35 years and WIZARD CLEANERS AND POLISHES are the best product I have used to get and keep a high gloss finish on a car. the mist and shine works on anything , great for interiors and glass better than Armorall in my eyes.

Rub it on with one cloth and wipe it of with a clean microfiber cloth and you will have a high gloss finish , The polish and sealant are fantastic and give you a long lasting finish that repels water , snow , and dirt longer than other products.

After the exterior was claybared and polish wax, applied the polish and sealant. Very impressed with this product on my Freshman use. Look forward to doing my next vehicle. Left a much improved shine!! 5 star quality.

Goes on super easy and comes off just as easy. I have been thru torrential rain here and she still beads up into tiny beads that just roll off the body!!

Harry Potter Magical Minis are the perfect gift to give your little Harry Potter Fans. The packaging was nicely done and looks appealing to buy. The only two things I would recommend are: The figurines could not stand and fall down when you try to stand them up.

I would also recommend having the figurines on their own to buy as well. I love how you can buy different sets and attach them all together. My 9 year old daughter was so excited to receive this gift in the mail, she has already played with them a lot.

The detail on everything is so well done as well, and the chocolate frogs are a fun addition. I would recommend the Harry Potter Minis to buy.

Calling all HP fans! Miniature characters?! Yesss please. My niece and I enjoyed playing with this item very much. Being able to put on the stickers and decorate was great. The only downside was the characters and little pieces didnt all stick to the walls or floor so the ability to possibly lose a piece was high.

That was the only real downfall to the product.

I have discussed this movie with several relatives and friends and as always found everyone to have their own opinion about everything to do with this movie and ultimately the entire Harry Potter series.

I have heard “they didn’t follow the book” or “they didn’t include everything” or my favorite comment “the sequence of events wasn’t logical. ” Given all consideration I have to say that I truly enjoyed the latest DVD realease of Harry Potter.

Most book to film movies do stray from the original text due to director interpretation or producer desires or as a decision of some abstract focus group and how they would have written the book. Untrue of the Potter movies.

Each movie, while making some small divurgance from the original book has been able to adapt hours and hours of reading and detail into a short version without losing the intent of the author or the interest of the fans.

Phoenix was probably the most adapted in that is was able to capture the characters inner struggles and show them in a physical way. Much of Harry’s inner struggles in the book would be impossible to relate on the screen yet Phoenix was able to show the coming of age with all three of the principle characters.

Harry’s inner turmoil presented itself with bursts of anger and an almost alienation of his friends. All three characters move from kids on an adventure and into young adulthood with decisions of defying authority for the better good.

The casting remained incredible for Phoenix. Helena Bonham Carter is Puuuurfect as LeStrange. With few lines her intricate body language portrayed lunatic without end. As always the New Defense against the Dark Arts Teacher is destined to a short career but I don’t think the book or movie storyline could have lived without this one.

Delores Umbridge was artfully portrayed by Imelda Staunton. I don’t think I will be able to ever enter a schoolroom and not look over my shoulder wondering if I would hear “Hm Hm” or “He He He. ” The portrayal not only captured Rowlings written character but I think improved it! The standard cast of this movie again performed brilliantly to the book characters.

Overall I have to say that even with a few cuts of storyline and some small changes of timeline the movie has lived up to the book. Whereas many sequals begin to fade to the first, these movies have held an almost George Lucas ability to improve with each attempt.

Realizing that the movies are being challenged by the author to improve we have all seen others do the same and keep sliding down the path of the dark side. Cheers to the Director, Cast and Crew of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!”.

The Harry Potter Series is well known to many of us. I doubt there could be more words put to this epic tale. But I could say that i am grateful for the writer’s creative and brilliant mind, wonderful casting, fabulous production value and direction, and moral messages in this seemingly “child-like” tale.

This is one of the very few times that I felt that the movie was better than the book. Order of the Phoenix was the only book I did not rate Excellent, but I feel this movie rates it. Unlike the book, which I feel was Rowling’s one and only drop into “middle book funk”, this movie can stand on its own.

The Ministry of Magic, in an attempt to keep Harry Potter quiet, assign Delores Umbridge to the school. Although Umbridge is never specifically mentioned as being a Death Eater, loves to leave people in perpetual misery.

Later in the series, she is an inquisitor working for the Ministry under Voldermort’s command. Much of the pain and anguish she passes out like candy in the book is thankfully left out of the movies.

She still her magic quill that, when used, uses the writer’s blood for ink. This has the side affect of etching the words in the skin of the writer as well. She also posts an almost infinite number of decrees to dominate the school.

Whereas the book went into endless detail of these and other tortures, the movie was able to successfully convey the full depth of her psychosis without boring the reader to death in the process. This also kept the movie from being quite as dark as the book.

The characters in the movie are clearly on the defensive, but they never give up. The climatic battle at the end feels more like a costly draw than a pointless loss of one of Harry’s closest friends.

The actors and actresses continue to perform magnificently. I simply can not imagine anyone else playing the parts of Harry, Hermione, the Weasleys, Snape or McGonagall. Imelda Stauton was perfect as Delores Umbridge, as was Evanna Lynch as the quirky Luna Lovegood.

Gary Oldman, who I thought was over the top in Prisoner of Azkaban, did wonderfully here as Sirius Black. I feel Michael Gambon does well as Albus Dumbledore. And there is over a score of secondary characters of which this movie would not work if they were not top notch themselves.

The script writers did well in condensing the much too long book into a few simple effects. A single shot of hundreds of framed decrees hanging on the wall outside the Great Hall, limiting the Umbridge torture scenes, combining the Weasly rebellion with the O.

W. L. tests expertly wrapped up entire chapters into single scenes. I also appreciates using Daniel Radcliff’s talents as a actor to demonstrate his angst as opposed to the self-destructive patterns Harry has in the book.

A few things could have been better. Harry’s hair is neatly combed, something that never happens in the books. Also, the waith-like forms the Death Eaters take in the big fight at the end I felt was over the top.

The special effects otherwise great, but they should have left well enough alone. John Holland-author of The Necklace of Terrersylvanous.

You never can have enough copies of this book! My whole family loved this magical book series and are diehard movie fans. The books are so much better than the movies with imaginative writings that teleport you into the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

I loved Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone so much that I not only purchased the paperback book but repurchased it when the fully illustrated book released years later. The Sorcerer’s Stone is book 1 of this series.

Great read for all.

I love reading books that were turned into movies because I see the movie and then read the book. This one is very exciting and you don’t see the ending coming. It’s more detailed and gives you a better understanding on the characters in this book.

Harry Potter is a boy who finds out he’s a wizard after living years as a house keeper in his aunt and uncles house. He learns about him being a wizard and is forced to battle the same person who ended his parents life.

Very good read for all ages!.

For many purists of the series who never liked the idea of modifying the original text for an American audience, this is a good thing. The quality of this new illustrated edition is phenomenal. I’ve been excited about the release of this book since it was announced, but I never expected the book as a whole to be so well crafted. A couple of things to note:1.

Underneath the book jacket, the novel is bound in a sturdy red hardback with gold lettering on the spine. 2. The paper is thick with an eggshell glossy finish. 3. All chapter intros are illustrated. 4.

Some images take up full pages or multiple pages. Most illustrations share the page with text. 5. Every inch of the book is illustrated or decorated in some fashion. There are NO white pages in the book.

Even the pages without large illustrations have the paper printed and marked with ink blots or paper “stains”. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to read the series (again, or for the first time), especially if you plan to read this with someone younger.

If this book is a demonstration of what is to come with the illustrated editions for the rest of the series, we’re all in for six more impeccable treats.

I bought this item for my young daughter. I thought it would be light and fun. The interactive pages are a blast! I realized after going through the book however, that it’s a little more serious about wizardry and spells than I thought it would.

There is a two page spread on divination that comes with a small pack of cards. It then gives you instructions on divination. In my opinion, this is something not to dabble with so I did not find it appropriate for impressionable children.

I would say it’s better suited for kids 13 +.

My younger brother is blind and loves Harry Potter. He never had the chance to actually read the books before his vision was gone. I always told him how much more is involved with the stories and now he’s able to enjoy them as much as I do.

It’s like a little dream come true!.

This audiobook is so popular, our library no longer has undamaged copies. I listen to the whole series every few years. Love Jim Dale.

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series! The first one sets the stage for the whole epic story of good v. evil and adventures along the way!

My kids are huge Harry Potter fans, and they love collecting these little sets that go with the big Hogwarts Castle play set. The figures are tiny and cute, but it is a little hard to make them stand up because they are too heavy and the feet are so small.

It comes with a few adorable little accessories like a bucket, some apples, and a flying baby thestral. It’s neat how this set can attach on to the castle play set. I would highly recommend this toy to anyone who has a child in their life who loves Harry Potter.

They will love this!.

This Wizarding World Harry Potter Magical Mini set is a great addition to the toys of any Potterhead. I would describe this as a more anime style of design. I love the way the three available sets have pieces that allow you to hook the sets together and that the wizard characters have magnets in the feet to allow them to stand on their own when placed properly.

I love the surprise of the bowtruckle coming down out of the tree. The only gripe I have about the Care of Magical Creatures set is that the place where Luna Lovegood stands is in the path of the flying thestral so the thestral can’t go full circle without her moving.

This seems to be well constructed especially at a pretty reasonable price point.

I really liked this Wizarding World, Magical Minis Care of Magical Creatures Playset. The miniature figures are made very well, they are very detailed and durable. Moreover, the playset itself is made of a thick plastic and is very durable, which is perfect for use with kids.

I also liked the fact that it has very few pieces to put together, and even then they just snap into place. Moreover, this playset is ideal for children’s imaginative play, and would be a perfect gift for a young child.

Overall, this is a great playset and I highly recommend this to anyone considering buying it, you won’t be disappointed!.

I was looking forward to this set, not because I am a huge Transfiguration fan – which I am not, incidentally, but because McGonagall has never so far been offered a classroom, at least not in the latest Lego series.

It is a nice set, but that’s about it. Love the idea of the four books, but it is hard to get Transfiguration right, since it’s really actually ‘only’ spellwork, like Charms. I was actually hoping (against hope, as it happened) to get a cat version of McGonagall.

Her taking her Animagus form in the films (that is not how it is in the book) for the first lesson is iconic if not canon. That is my big disappointment. However, the design of the set is very Gryffindorish and I love the blackboard and the wall along the book spine.

Also the fact that McGonagall has hair. That’s a really cool thing. I think it sort of fun that the actual veraverto spell is used on the board to turn a frog into a glass and not a rat as it is in the story, but the rat is there too if one wants to carry on without variations.

Plus a yellow frog is not exactly the most commonly seen Lego frog 🙂 On the whole, not bad, I’m not over the moon, but I am overexcited to build Potions and Herbology (those are my favourite classes along with Care of Magical Creatures).

My daughter absolutely loves Harry Potter and was delighted when she saw this lego set. It has lots of characters included which is a massive bonus. The kit is designed for age 9+ but my 7 year old is a massive Lego buff and managed to complete most of the kit by herself.

She really enjoys a challenge and will happily spend hours building her kits by herself, with the occasional call for help of she gets really stuck. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves both Harry Potter and Lego.

The thing I love most about lego is that my daughter gets hours of enjoyment actually building the sets, then she gets even more enjoyment playing with her characters within the set she’s just built – she loves acting out scenes from the film.

She’s extremely independent and Lego is just the perfect toy for her. Hours of endless fun! Lego will forever be our go to when it comes to Christmas and Birthdays.

This set is a bit fiddly but very fun. Good instructions (as normal, thank you Lego) and a great build. Very good use of hinges and nice separation of the building blocks so that it feels successful throughout the build.

Highly recommended.

I built this with my 6 year old Harry Potter fanatic and we thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s a great sized set to do with kids and she managed to do a large part of it unaided (help was needed for stickers).

The size is perfect for children, big enough for a few hours of entertainment but not too big that they lose interest. Once built it makes the cutest display of Hogsmeade, I LOVE the snowy look of it – this really is a fab addition to any HP Lego fans collection.

Over all, the set is pretty good. However there are a few things I would change if I were designing it. The rooms in the tower all seem to be a waste of space to me. Both rooms in the tower kind of just have random magic things in them.

LEGO could have made use of this space better by putting iconic rooms from Hogwarts here, which would make it more appealing to both kids and fans. The mirror of erised is also positioned a bit oddly.

When you put a minifuigre in front of it, their face is litterly right up against it, which looks really weird. With my set, I moved the mirror of erised to where the other rooms are and got rid of one of the floors, so it would fit.

The basalisk included looks a bit strange because it is black instead of green like it is in the movie and its shape is also a bit non-realistic. The next thing I changed with my set is the positioning of the flags, it was a bit odd that they weren’t positioned over the house tables, so I moved them over so that they were.

I also added the turrets coming off of the roof of the tower to make it look more like the real thing, however I don’t think LEGO nessisarily needed to add this, it was just something I did to improve it.

I enjoyed doing all these customizations, though and it makes mine unique. I like how you can combine all the different Hogwarts sets to make a larger Hogwarts at a cheaper price and with more features than the big one.

The great hall its self looks pretty good and so does the exterior of the set. All the minifigures are pretty good, but the Dumbledore figure does not seem to be quite as good as the ones that have come out more recently.

LEGO has seemed to improve how realistic their sets are with all the new waves of sets that have come out now, so I would recomend getting a different Harry Potter set over this one if you could only get one.

Great series! Amazing filling set! She would have played and played! The result of the assembly is such a beauty. We are fans with the whole family! The set has everything that Potteromans need. The Hogwarts building has been thoroughly worked out by Lego.

The assembled model really resembles the original. There is also a place to roam inside. A lot of small details and magic items (brooms, cups, a burning fireplace, ice cream, etc. ).

Hello. I loved this set! From the minifigures to the house banners it was great. One thing I didn’t like was that I got a minifigure for Susan Bones instead of Ginny Weasley. However, they look very similar so I just pretended that Susan was Ginny.

Some people have said in their reviews that the phoenix was hard to see because of the mirror of Erised, but you can easily remove the mirror. Another thing I liked was that the house banners that hung could be flipped around, meaning one side was Ravenclaw whille the other side was Slytherin, and one side was Gryffindor while the other side was Hufflepuff.

The minifigures looked very nice and basilisk also looked great. I also liked how Scabbers came with the set. This was a fun build and playing was also a hoot. Great job, Lego.

For the amount I payed for this game, it came in great shape. The disc was next to scratch-free, and while the case was not in the best shape, it was still in decent enough condition. There was no manual, but that is really the only downside to this package.

To anyone who doesn’t know, this is a blue disc PS2 title, and my PS2 may run it perfectly, but it is very loud, and the system can sound like its a ferarri revving up. This caught me off guard at first, but I think it’s just a different disc format that causes the louder noises to appear.

The game itself was a blast to play, and I recommend this game to anyone looking for a good blast from the past. Don’t be fooled if you think this is the exact same game as the GameCube and XBOX versions, however.

Certain scenarios, camera perspectives, visual effects, dialogue, and menus are very different in the PS2 version. If you originally had a Gamecube or XBOX copy, the PS2 version will be a slightly different experience, and I honestly preferred the PS2 version, so take that for what it’s worth.

I made sure there were no scratches on the game disc before testing it, which I was thankful for. It worked like a charm, a little bit slow, but I haven’t been using my gaming PC for a while by the way.

I got to say this is the best product that I bought.

I really love this game. The first one for GBC and this one are so much better than the other consoles variation. It’s a pure RPG, with turn based battles, spells, equipment, collectables and more. The history is much closer to the books and the graphics are very compeling!.

Communication and shipping were excellent. All pieces were included as indicated. It was a little confusing to start with the game, but now my kids (aged 6-12) all enjoy and can play it together. Since it’s different every time you play, it is a game they can play over and over with different outcomes!.

I bought the game to gift someone. It called my attention when I first saw it because it was Lego+Harry Potter in a buildable board game (I had never seen a buildable Lego board until then). The game is indeed fun.

Building the board takes a while and it’s the first part of the fun. By the way, the Lego pieces are well made and beautiful. Playing the game demands cleverness, as the players reorder the movable parts of the board every time to reach the goals.

The game really offers you a variety of changeable rules, such as the different possible faces on the dice and the possibility to assemble the movable parts of the board the way you want in every new match.

With all these options, we can play it many many times and yet enjoy. It’s a very nice game, not only for children. And for a quite acceptable price.

This came so quickly! My only critique is that some of the legos were brokenliterally, snapped. Luckily we have extra pieces but I was just surprised to see that issue.

I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. We have played it several times now and we enjoy it. It was difficult to understand the game instructions at first. They are not as clear as other Lego games.

Now that we have played it several times, we understand it and have played it as a family. The thing we like best about this particular Lego game is that it is a new game every time, since you control where to move pieces of the board game.

My 12 and 13 year old also enjoy playing this game. This is a must have for every Lego Harry Potter fan.

I bought this for my grandson’s birthday–he just turned 8 and is crazy about Legos and HP. The price was right and all the parts were present and bagged appropriately. While it may have been used, it was like new and my grandson’s mother said it kept him engrossed during the time he had available during the week to get it put together.

He even got up early and dressed quickly so that he could work on it. I do not know whether anyone has played the game.
