20 Best Winter Outfits For Guys (2023 Updated)

This is the third shoe rack I have purchased (two previous racks from two other sites fell over within a few months) and I am more confident in this one due to the construction. It feels sturdy and looks great in my room.

I would have given it 5 stars but I just put it up.

This is a great buy. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. Even if they are never used as intended, they make a beautiful accent piece.

This is my second tank cover, the last on lasted 6 years. That is very good for the hot Florida sun. I recommend it highly.

Very happy with this Dri-Duck Cheyenne jacket, great quality and very good fit for the size, this is my 5th Dri-Duck product and all have been excellent and good waring. Jacket is good for our winters here in Australia which we don’t get the very cold and snow weather in the northern states of the USA.

Good solid jacket. You don’t sound and feel like a chip packet wearing this. I’m 5’11” and 84kg with broad shoulders and the XL couldn’t fit better. Nice and plain without logos everywhere. Just what I was looking for.

This is up there with all those other thermal coat brands for a cheaper price. Kept me super warm with just the coat itself in temperatures below 20°. Looks great and fits great! Just for a size reference, I’m 5’11 and 230lbs and a large fits me well.

An ok quality tracksuit, The material could have been better with a rubber label logo rather than a printed one considering what you have to pay for it, but as I am not the one wearing it. ! I had to go 2 sizes up (2XL) for my son who is generally a medium.

Bought for my 18 year old son, he liked it. Nice tracksuit well worth the money. Normally I would pay at least 200 for an Armani tracksuit.

The color, and fabric is wonderful. It is lightweight. It fits a little tight, but I will lose the weight to make this fit perfectly. I wanted a Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisper 2, but this feels like a very close second.

It is also a nicer color than the Mountain Hardware product. I am very happy with this purchase.

This jacket, while on clearance still made it return-able. This jacket fit like a suit jacket for me. Which meant it was not going to fit the bill.

Good looking coat and shape. Was hoping it was 600 fill down but not the case. Polyester fill but nice and warm none the less. Good value for the money.

Love this coat. It’s replacing a much-worn Transcendant Hoody that finally gave up so many feathers that it just doesn’t do the job anymore below 20 degrees. It’s interesting that some reviews say this isn’t as warm as the aforementioned.

I find that it is MUCH warmer. It’s got a higher fill than the Transcendant and it’s much loftier all over. it’s not even close. An although lofty, it’s not so much so that I can’t throw on a shell or anorak over it easily.

I live in Northern Minnesota where (at the time of this writing) we’re already seeing temps in the negative teens. I can wear a light fleece under this and I’m good to go for normal activities. As for the sizing, I wear a large in everything and this is no different.

I have wider shoulders and I’ll sometimes run across other products that bind under the arms as a result. I’ve yet to try on any O. R. product that gives me this issue. I will say that the Coldfront fits just a wee bit more snug around the mid-section and hips than the Transcendant, but it’s also a little bit longer, which I like.

This also makes it easier to over-layer. I also have slightly longer arms than some large jackets can accommodate, but this one is right on. I haven’t found the zipper to be especially annoying at the chin/neck area as others have mentioned, but if it’s cold enough to require zipping up that high, I usually have a neck gaiter on anyway and perhaps I don’t think about it.

My only minor gripe is the lack of a zippered breast pocket. Perhaps this was to keep a certain styling in tact in that area or perhaps to keep the insulation uniform. I’d be willing to give up a little down in that area to have that nice, warm, convenient pocket for my phone or wallet.

The inner drop-in pockets are just too spacious to contain something like a phone safely. (so minus 1/2-star) As for longevity, we’ll see. but I’m hopeful of the shell material chosen for this jacket.

I was surprised by how warm this jacket is even without cuffs. The description when I ordered it said that it had elastic cuffs with thumb holes, and it certainly did not have anything besides elastic piping at the bottom of the EXO plus.

After wearing it outside it was clear that would’ve been a duplication of fabric. Very warm and fantastic windproofing. It’s actually warm enough that I have wetted it out from the inside but it has very easy care directions so it’s back to mint condition even after a ton of sweat has been through it.

This fills the gap where my lighter weight down pieces aren’t warm enough and with layering it is sufficient for anything in Colorado. It’s probably not your go to for winter in northern Alaska but more than sufficient for a decade of use where i live.

Extremely lightweight and surprisingly packable given the volume of down. The hood on this jacket feels like a cloud.

I do love OR gear, absolutely. The Transcendent down hoody is my all time favorite. it is so soft it is like wearing a cloud. I was hoping to get a new transcendent and maybe an even warmer version of this beautiful and comfy jacket.

It has been discontinued it seems like so I went for what seemed like the next best thing, the Cold front. I still think it is a good quality jacket but it definitely does not that that amazing soft loft caressing feel like the transcendent has.

Also I find the top of the zipper to be somewhat rigid and bump into my chin and I find that a annoying. I got the nimbus color which is sort of a grey with maybe a blue tint. I do find that the color is different then the pictures on the website, it is more of a lighter blue almost baby powder blue kind of and I do find it looks quite feminine.

I am listing this jacket up for sale. I would love for a transcendent 2. 0 an even warmer version of the same great looking design, comfort with higher down fill quality and a good amount of it.

I purchased the Ares jacket, mainly to use as an insulating mid-layer under a shell. The 600 fill is warmer than some 700 fill jackets I’ve owned. Fabric is soft, light and quiet, and seems to do a good job of keeping the feathers from shedding.

The stand up collar is cut on the generous side, and lines up nicely with the collar/hood on the Freeride jacket. I’ve been very comfortable skiing with Freeride/Ares combo and a base layer in mid-teen temperatures.

The colorways are a straight throw-back from the ’70s, but with modern textiles and down defender, is heads and shoulders better than the poly-down knock-off I wore in high school. The only negatives worth mentioning are lack of pit zips, which is less of an issue if worn as a mid-layer, and the fabric seems to want to hold the shape of the folds from the original packaging.

The upside is, the jacket is warmer through the body since the insulation doesn’t get interrupted by 2-15″ zippers. The folds/wrinkles will probably work themselves out eventually, possibly after a washing, but I’m not putting it through a wash cycle until absolutely necessary.

The Ares replaces an Avant Featherless jacket returned on delivery. Nothing wrong with it, but the cut was weird, and the fill felt closer to foam rubber than down. Never wore the Avant outdoors to comment on warmth.

I would definitely recommend the Ares jacket for a really warm mid-layer, or outer layer. My only concern is how the lightweight fabric might hold up to abrasion and tree branches, but so far no issues.

I’m a 58yo male, 5′-7″, 180-ish. I purchased a large, and fit is slightly generous, but pretty confident a medium would be tight around the mid-section.

I’ve had this coat for five years and I love it. It’s not a terribly arm coat with only 600 down, but it is a solid mid-layer if you’re also wearing a heavier base layer underneath. I have broad shoulders and a slenderish waist (some stomach fluff), typically wearing a 44R blazer.

The XL was the best fit for me, and gives me plenty of room in the arms to maneuver without feeling like it’s going to tear. Overall it’s a meant as a late fall jacket, and I dig the orange / maroon colors on it, only because they remind me of my alma mater.

For a down jacket though, it is on the heavier side compared to other brands like Patagonia or Arc’teryx. It is also easily packable in one of its hand pockets. The main knock I have on this coat those is that it does occasionally shed feathers, but I’m assuming that is to be expected after fiver years of wear & tear.

Definitely recommend for fall / spring conditions.

I bought this jacket recently and yes, this is my fifth Ares Jacket purchased! Perfect for everyday wear. Looks great when wearing to work and a great looking jacket when out socially. Nobody wants an overly heavy jacket with everyday use and this jacket allows you to sit comfortably in your vehicle with not getting too warm and manages the cold when outside heading into work, the store, or family/friends home.

What always catches my eye are the retro designs and the associated color patterns. Basically this jacket keeps you warm, looks great, and is a great value. That is why I keep coming back to Marmot and keep wearing this jacket!.

It is definitely a high quality jacket. The material and zipper are great. I would say it’s not for very cold without layers. One note on the zipper: again, it’s going to last, but it comes all the way up the collar, which is good that you can zip it all the way up.

But it should have some material between the zipper and your chin. It rubs against your face. For the collar part it should have some material, like fleece as that metal gets cold and rough. Otherwise, I am glad I got this jacket.

This jacket is solid, just like my previous one from them that I still own. Ordered size small this time, their medium is a little big but not unbearable. Love these canvas jackets!

Great work jacket that also looks good for everyday use. The blanket flannel lining is very soft and gives added warmth. Classic fitting with enough room to layer a hoodie or something underneath. Great price also.

The sweater is thick and fits quite close to the body, so I recommend being fit because otherwise it highlights more the possible love handles or chest. It is warm enough, and the fabric seems to be resistant although I have not used it enough to ensure it.

The design and color the best. Perfect match with blue or black pants. Ideal for this cold season. An inside thermal shirt should suffice.

A very different item to what I typically think of when I think Superdry, but one of my favourite items of clothing. Excellent quality and very well fitting. Word of warning for anyone who gets itchy with woollen materials.

To make this short. The track suit looks very good, it is very comfy, the fabric feels nice and the craftsmanship is well executed. Fits like a glove. Worth the money.

I live in Interior Alaska, where winter is COLD. I’ve got my active layering system pretty much dialed, but for a few years now, I’ve been looking for a long down jacket for more casual purposes. Something that would be warm enough to prevent me from having to wear multiple layers under it, while also looking halfway human.

A lot of other long coats I’d found looked good, but just didn’t seem like they’d hold up against temps that are -20F to -45F for weeks on end. Enter the OR Coze Down Parka. This thing is legit. Soooo warm without being too bulky, a cozy hood that is oversized & just the right shape to protect my entire head & face from the cold & wind, roomy fleece lined pockets, fitted cuffs at the wrist to keep out cold/snow/wind, a chin guard, a zipper draft blocker, neck draft blocker, a two-way main zipper, AND two smaller zippers to open the sides for added flexibility & movement.

I’ve been wearing this constantly in our current temps (about -20F) & haven’t been cold once, even while skimping on layers underneath. I wear this for walks with my dogs, short hikes/snowshoes in the woods behind my house, & on my commute.

I’d definitely consider it a valuable layer for cabin trips or other low-key outdoor activities. It looks good, feels super soft, & is by far one of the best gear purchases I’ve made for facing winters in AK.

It does run large, so I’d double check the sizing chart & consider sizing down! I am typically a medium in all things (5’9″, about 145 lbs for reference), but was drowning in room in this jacket; once exchanged for a small, it fits much better, & I’ve still got plenty of room for some thinner to medium layers underneath if I need them.

10/10 would recommend this jacket.

I like this jacket so much I ended up purchasing a second for my father, we’re different body shapes but I purchased a size large for both of us. I’m 6’3″, 210, 43-44″ chest, 36″ arm length, 34″ waist; its not quite “fitted” on me but I think it fits great and is what I was expecting (fits well enough that I can wear with just a single layer underneath or I can easily add a baselayer and fleece if I wanted to.

I’ve worn this in the mountains and to a nice dinner on the same day. My father is 5’11, 220, thicker than me in the midsection but the jacket fits him great albeit with slightly less room for layers than myself.

I think it’s now his favorite midlayer jacket as it is mine too. The jacket is suitable to wear on its own in or you could wear an upsized shell over it on really cold days for winter sports. You can also dress it up or dress it down, good warmth.

Really flexible! If you’re looking for a packable puffer this is definitely on the big end of the spectrum, I typically won’t use it in that manner, try it on and test pack it if that’s what you’re after.

As for features, the pouch pockets on the inside are a nice, big enough for gloves/toques/glasses etc but not obstructive. If anything, I wish there was a small zippered pocket and I wish the main zipper was two-way.

I really appreciate the OR logo is subtle on the sleeve and not massive on the jacket – funny enough, friends have noticed and commented that its a classy touch. Not many brands do that. We’ll see how it holes up long term! Looks to be well made.

I have wanted a coat in this general style for years and I am so glad my wife encouraged me to grab this one. Sheepskin is a luxury to me and I feel lucky to have it. True to size – my 42 works over a shirt alone or over a medium weight sweater – and in a fantastic bit of luck the sleeves are perfect length.

The snap-adjustable cuffs help and I would not have thought to buy the coat on that feature alone but I will say the cuffs are a great bit of design. I got black and it looks great with jeans of all finishes or dressier britches.

A two way zip might be a nice addition but when I need the lower part open, I just use the snaps. I’m very happy with my purchase and I feel this coat stands up next to similar ones costing 3 1/2 times as much.

I purchased this several months ago in September. It came in a plastic bag in a box. Instructions says to let it air out and expand. The temperature finally got below 30 degrees fahrenheit. It expanded alright just like a packaged puffer should expand.

I am perfectly comfortable, not feeling any cold. I got the XXL Tall, it fits like a glove. The pockets are soft inside, no gloves needed. I bought an additional color in December and now I am going for a another color now.

What more can you ask for, for less than $55.

Bought this on deep sale to wear as a warm layer under a rain jacket from a different brand, since Lands End stopped offering the Squall system with zip-in functionality. I’m 6′ tall, 175# and I wear a 40 regular suit.

This jacket fits nicely over a sweater. I can live with only two pockets because this is meant to be an inner layer, so I’ll generally be using pockets on the outer shell. Warm so far – hasn’t gotten too cold yet in my part of the country so can’t say yet if it’s functional below about 25.

Fabric is fairly flimsy: Pinched a sleeve in the snap closure of one pocket and it created a little hole where some down came out. Considered returning because I can’t be worried about snags and rips.

For that reason only, I would not recommend this product.

I bought this coat a little over 2 weeks ago. It arrived promptly with other items. I love the lightweight feel of the coat, yet it feels warm. Haven’t really tested in a harsher colder temps, but so far does the job.

The only disappointment I have is that the zipper has begun to separate and come apart on two occasions. I was able to get it back on track, but that is not a good sign after wearing it for about a week.

We will see how it goes from here.

I got this suit for my boyfriend and it fits perfectly. follow the sizing guidelines. It’s the perfect combo of fun color and quirky. The belting details are nice, and the venting is a nice touch as well.

I bought this suit for my sister, she’s 5’3 so we went with the XS per the size guide but it was a very tight squeeze in the chest area. The women’s ski suits aren’t friendly for the bigger chested so I recommend at least sizing up one! Other than the fit, the suit looks awesome in person.

I ordered this jacket and another online, but went into the store to get a shirts to wear with it. I never dress like I have money when I am shopping and most sales staff are usually stand off-ish, but the staff was so helpful.

They brought me several colors to choose from that would go very nicely with the jackets I purchased. I usually shop at Nordstroms because they know me, but Neiman’s surprised me and I will be coming back for more.

I am always cold and need thick puffer Jackets to keep me warm in winter. However, fleece Jacket still keeps me warm even in 20-degree weather. I obviously wear another sweater underneath and I’m golden.

I going to see if it can hold up in colder temps. I had this coat in my shopping cart for the longest but I’ve should of bought this sooner. I can probably wear this coat from Fall all through Winter.

Couple other reviews said this is uncomfortable because no fleece in the arms, not warm, pssshhh! I usually don’t spend money on expensive stuff and just deal with off brand imitations. I only got my first one of these in black because it was half off.

Tonight I walked by a grey one, last one in the store, thought it was 40% off, it wasn’t so I walked back to where I found the coat to put it back. Got their turned back around and bought this full price.

If you can get your hands on this coat do it. Won’t be good in the rain like a rain coat, but walking from your car to a store fine, the only time I would recommend is in the summer haha. This coat keeps me warm and comfy in the house if I’m chilly and is perfect for walking the dog in 12 degrees and snow.

Sharp looking jacket, especially for the money. Might have a tailor add an inside pocket somehow. Would also rather have a removable face mask so it could be washed. Other than these nitpicky preferences this is a great product.

Hope it lasts a while, that’ll be the question, since it’s a soft fabric, which makes it very comfy.
