Colour was a shade off from the picture but it was better than I hoped. I wish the pockets had zippers( a huge must) and the waste was elasticized. But for the price the basic nature of the jacket can’t be argued too much.
This jacket was less than stellar, too thin, and meant more for fall than winter. I returned both jackets – at our expense. Since the local Warehouse Outlet is closed due to COVID, customers are forced to pay return shipping.

Lovely coat, the L was a tad snug and the XL was sufficiently too big. It’s possible that the L would have “settled” a little and not appear as snug. Lovely blue, fresh change from black.

Love the butterfly print and the style of the coat. it’s also warmer than my centigrade shower resistant coats, so perfect for autumn. I went with my usual high street size and wore it over a jumpsuit.
It is a little snug on me but when I saw the presentation online it is quite fitted on the model, perhaps that is how it should be worn. Really good price currently.
I am a size 12 and ordered the size 12 in black butterfly option. It is a perfect fit for me with enough room to wear layers underneath during colder months. Love the fact it’s so lightweight and packs into itself.
I also love the black butterfly print. Look forward to wearing this in the Autumn.
I always buy Joules items for my kids when I see them on Zulily. It’s a very high quality brand and this jacket is such a good buy for the price. It’s fully lined so you can wear late into the fall. It’s soft but not too puffy, and the colors are great.
Everything about the jacket is high quality from the seaming to the snaps. This will defiantly last my son 2 years.

One of my sons had the previous version of this jacket and loved it so much we ordered this one for next winter. He wore it outside in one of our spring snowstorms and even though its a bit big, he said it kept him good and warm.
He’s 4’10. 5″ and 103 lb, we ordered a size 20 and it’s plenty roomy for him to grow into. He absolutely loves the jacket, the red color, ALL the pockets. It’s well made and we’re very happy with it.
Our Patagonia Kids’ Silent Down Parka is a soft jacket with a polyester shell and 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down insulation. Fair Trade Certified sewn.
I’ve had my eye on this coat for a year, but it never went on sale and I didn’t want to pay full price. I was able to use an REI 20% off coupon towards it so I finally purchased. It’s exactly what I wanted! The fit is true to size (I often need to size up to a small in Patagonia coats/jackets, but the XS in this coat is perfect for me).
For reference, I’m 5’3″ and about 128 lbs, 32B chest size and always wear a size 2 or XS in major brands. This coat hits me right at my hips and the sleeve length is great. It’s so cozy and warm, and easily fits over light sweaters and sweatshirts.
I’m going to get a ton of use out of this coat this winter, especially for those days that I don’t feel like putting on my longer, bulkier coat. Only thing to note is that the color of the coat is not a true, saturated black – it’s more of a faded black but not quite grey.
I got this jacket and it feels great, looks great and I am super excited to have it but the Sage Khaki looks nothing like the picture. It is very green compared to the picture. I will say it is a nice green and was tempted to keep it anyways but it really wasn’t what I was looking for so I am returning it for another color.
I am 6 foot and 170lbs and got a medium. It fits well but when I lift and bend my arms, the material gets very tight on my back so don’t expect to be doing any work in it. I am tempted to get a large but I think it may look too big at that point.
Love this jacket though and I won’t be disappointed to own it! So had to give it 5 stars just be warned that the Sage Khaki is more green (I guess hence the “sage”).
I recently purchased this jacket as it tends to get quite cold in winter in Victoria, Australia. Fortunately not the freezing temperatures of some of your reviewers. I found the jacket light, comfortable, and generally warm enough to cater for the colder days with just a thick shirt underneath.
Whilst the pockets are roomy I have found that the zips constantly get trapped in the lining material preventing them from working properly. I returned it to the store in Torquay where the sales assistant was very helpful and offered to get the zips replaced.
My wife, who is a very capable dressmaker and sewer thought the zips had been sewn in the wrong way round, but on inspection of others in the store they all appeared the same. The solution was to sew two lines of stitches alongside the zip to hold the lining back.
Keep him pushing boundaries in the Covert Jacket from Burton this season on the slopes. Designed with timeless style and features for the slopes, he’ll be lapping his favorite runs from first chair to last call.
The Dryvent construction with critically taped seams offer protection from wind and moisture while the Termacore and taffeta lining keep him warm on cold chair lift rides in the mornings. When the weather picks up, the helmet friendly hood with an expandable gaiter can seal out the chill.
Plus, the Room-To-Grow system keeps up with his growth spurts so he can rock the Covert for multiple seasons.
This is the second one I’ve bought since I liked it and wanted another color. So yeah, I like it! Sheds water well, lots of pockets, looks great. Warm enough for me with a light layer underneath unless the temps are under about 20 degrees, then I wear a light down jacket underneath.
Great coat! Dropped a star due to the fact that I felt it ran a little snug for a 2XL around the stomach area. Another inch to inch and a half, and it would have been perfect. Could not fit a sweatshirt or sweater on underneath.
Good base layer and you should be good. That was all I had in -7C and 20mph wind and I was good. Lots of pockets for everything! Needs a pass holder on the sleeve or a dedicated attachment point. Good coat for bigger guys, and a good value.
Turn to the Kids’ Yukon Snow Jacket to keep them warm on frigid school days, playdates, and other winter adventures. Marmot MemBrain 2-layer fabric sheds snow, while 700-fill-power down provides lightweight warmth.
The hood zips off if they don’t need it, plus features a removable faux fur ruff. The storm flap, adjustable VELCRO cuffs, and cordlock hem prevent chilly winds from reaching their inner layers. This winter coat for kids features hand and interior pockets to stash essentials.
A warm, weatherproof down jacket for kids, with a zip-off hood with removable faux fur, for daily life in really cold climates.
What more can you ask for, right??? I bought one for my 12 year old that felt like it weighed 50 lbs. I could barely put it on myself. Found this one, which was super lightweight, but still very warm and such a great price point! You can’t go wrong! My kid skied all day in this and was perfectly snug and warm.
My 6-year old spends much of his school day outside, despite incliment weather. We live in the Pacific Northwest, so he is guaranteed to get wet. In this jacket he can stay warm and dry while still having the freedom of movement that he so craves.
When it is pouring, I smile to myself, knowing that he won’t be freezing or wet (unless he leaves his jacket upzipped and the hood off. then he comes home wet).
i bought this jacket fir my grandson who is 5! First of all. there is nothing chintzy about this jacket! it’s so well made and warm! love the hood! the cuffs keep the snow abd cold air out! abd the ted color is so pretty.
For winter clothing, i swear by marmot especially when it comes to mitttens. Best kids mittens on the market!.
The Glacier down jacket is at home on school buses and playgrounds thanks to its warm down insulation and durable nylon face fabric. This combination will keep your little one ready for the winter, and give you peace of mind.
I ordered the blue jacket with the pink, orange, and yellow stripes. The photo depicted BRIGHT colors in the following order: pink, orange, and yellow. The jacket I received had the colors in the order of orange, yellow, pink.
The orange was actually a NEON orange and not crayon orange as it appeared online. The yellow, pink, and blue were more muted than in the photo. I double checked the photo on THREE different devices and on all of them the colors were brighter and more pure (like crayon colors).
This may seem minor, but with orange being the color nearest to my pale skin it looked very bad. Pink would have complemented my skin tone better. Plus having the neon orange next to the blue jacket color was much too jarring to the eye (they are complementary colors).
Also, it runs small. Order up a size if you want to wear a hoodie or sweater underneath it. Positive: warm. Had more than 2 pockets. side pockets had a soft lining. Very disappointed that the jacket I received was not the same as the one on the website.
I was thinking of ordering it in a large in a different color combo, but now I am not as I don’t trust what is posted on the website.
It’s light and warm, also fashionable looking. My 7-yo son loves it. This is his second SAM coat in a few years. He actually likes it better than his moncler because of the double zippers.
I’ve been eyeing this coat for a while now but it was never in stock in the size and color I wanted. I FINALLY saw it on the app and there was one left and it was a sign that I needed to buy!! I am so so happy with this coat.
It’s perfect for days that I need a little more fashion in my outerwear than my other coats and the color is GORGEOUS!! 10/10 recommend.
This heavily insulated, waterproof winter coat lets boys be boys, no matter how cold and wet the weather gets. The Lightening Lift Jacket is crafted from a sleek, technical nylon ripstop fabric with 240g of insulation in a modern, slightly longer cut for plenty of coverage and style.
I purchased this jacket for my 5 year old. He had trouble with the zipper getting stuck. I then started having trouble. I exchanged after one of the coldest Minnesota winter days when he came home from school with the coat only buttoned because he could not get the zipper to work.
He only wore the second coat for about a week and that zipper broke and we could not wear it anymore. I have bought Columbia products in the past and always had good luck. This coat was not the same quality.
The colour was much nicer than in the picture! The jacket fits perfectly! Haven’t had snow yet, so not sure how it stands up, but we’ve had a few cold days and the kids say they are kept very warm!
We bought this for our 10 year old grandson who is one of those kids that grow so fast your lucky to get one season out of clothes. That being said, this jacket has twice the insulation others had that we were considering and it was his choice when we gave him 4 options to choose from.
We all are happy with it, and this was the best price out there.
The North Face Belleview Stretch Down Jacket has everything our fellas need to stay warm in winter. A mix of 600-fill down in the torso and Heatseeker Eco in collar hold in his body heat for winter warmth.
The stretchy material offers comfort and mobility for his everyday activities while the durable water repellent keeps light rain and snow from soaking him and ruining the light and lofty down insulation.
Versatile; can wear on a long walk or dressed up. I like the warmth without being bulky. It’s also breathable enough that I’m still comfortable if I step inside, so it’s good for errands and (eventually again) commuting on public transpo.
Other warm jackets make me feel like I’m trapped in a zip-up sauna if I’m going back and forth between indoors and outdoors. Also, the green is cute and nice alternative neutral The only critique is that the deep position of the pocket.
It makes the contents sit right at my hip crease. If I’m zipped up and then I sit down or walk up the stairs with my phone or wallet in my pocket, then the coat doesn’t bend with me because the phones in the way.
If the pocket ended a little higher above my hip or lower so that my phone was on my thigh, this wouldn’t be a problem.
Bought it for the wife. She’s about 5’2 or shorter I think. Slim with tiny belly. ( she’s gonna Kill me ) anyways the jacket seems like it won’t keep your warm but it definitely does , pockets are too deep though.
It’s like you can’t actually fit an umbrella and ( shotgun ) if you wants without it sticking out. But that can also be useful for hiding deep long wallets. Purses etc. The good quality’s is that the jacket / coat is very lightweight and keeps you super super warm.
Wind proof water slides right off. And a dual zip. She’s loves it. She just wish the arms are tiny bit shorter and she bought an XS. Well I did. And if I picked a small the arms would be longer and won’t fit.
But her opinion it’s very comfortable. The arm lengths isn’t something that makes it ( not good ) it’s great. Just like she said and I said. Add an inside zipper pocket for tiny wallets. More pockets more sales.
I can’t believe how much I absolutely love this coat. I have wanted a longer winter coat for a couple years, but just hadn’t figured out which one to get. Was drawn to The North Face, as I know they produce a solid product.
It does not disappoint. The sleeves are long enough to keep my wrists from getting cold, yet they aren’t wide and floppy at all. The double zipper allows you to zip up the jacket and then open up the second zipper from the bottom to give more room for walking or sitting in the car.
The outside pockets are generous in size and the interior pockets on each side go to the bottom of the jacket. You could seriously put a bottle of wine in it, lol. I got it in navy and it’s a deep, rich color.
There are many different types of winter coats for boys on the market, so it is important to choose the right one for your child. A good winter coat should be warm, weatherproof, and comfortable. It is also important to find a coat that is the right size for your child, as a too-big coat can be bulky and uncomfortable, and a too-small coat will not provide enough warmth.
When shopping for a winter coat for your boy, it is important to keep in mind the activities he will be participating in. If he will be spending a lot of time outside in the cold, you will want to choose a coat that is very warm and weatherproof.
If he will be spending most of his time indoors, a lighter coat may be sufficient. It is also important to consider the climate in your area when choosing a coat. In general, coats for boys living in colder climates should be warmer and more weatherproof than those for boys living in milder climates.
Once you have considered all of these factors, you should be able to find the perfect winter coat for your boy.
