I used this shade in my laundry room that gets some western exposure. Wanted light in morning and darken afternoon and night. It works well now, however some issues out of the box. The shade itself had come apart.
The top gears are made of plastic and the attachments at the top of the rod had pushed in so the shade wouldn’t stay together or attach. We worked through it, pulled out the tab ends on the roller part, attached to the top and worked a bit on the gear so it would go up and down.
Note, as stated on the description, only pull on the bottom and it goes up and down SLOWLY. But if you plan to just switch between open sunlight and closed (versus raising all the way up) it should work fine.
Blinds are very thin. They don’t filter light as thought. You have to be very careful moving blinds up/down. The blind came off the roller and detached after rolling up and down. Thankfully we were able to fix after we took blind down to figure out why they were not working properly.
Wish they were thicker. Unfortunately, I don’t think they will last long :-(.
I have gotten so many compliments on these shades. They are a great alternative to the very expensive Hunter Douglas ones. They not only look beautiful but are very good quality. I am very pleased with purchase.

Replacing an older shade with broken pull cord. Easy to replace – able to mount in same original holes, snapped into place and pulling down or pushing up is really smooth. I was a little skeptical if the shade would glide as smoothly without the pull cord but it’s better than I imagined.

Fabulous blinds. They provide multiple options between fully open and fully closed. They look modern and sleek. They allow some light when closed but also provide total privacy. They are far easier to dust than Venetian blinds and way more attractive.
I love them! However, note that the size you receive is the size of the valance – the actual blind is 2cm narrower on each end, so a total of 4cm narrower in width than the size you purchase (that equals just over 1 and 1/2 inches).
But you do have to be able to fit your valance in the space too! Mine are slightly to narrow because the blind is not as wide as the valance. I will use mine on a different window. So just be aware that the size they show for purchase is the valance width, not the actual blind width – which is 4cm narrower.
These looks very nice and are easy to install, but they are definately not blackout. They are somewhat room darkening. The other thing is that the roller gets tripped up a little, especially when you do it too fast.
It’s like the blinds and the ball movement don’t match. But they are very inexpensive, so they are a good value if you don’t meed complete black out and you aren’t planning to open them all the way up too often.
Very happy with the product, and ordered another one. The fitting of the middle clip required some minor lifting the metal clip with a flat screw driver to get it to clip on. We also installed blackout curtains over the blinds using 5in+ expandable brackets from Home Depot, as these are light filtering blinds.

There seems to be an issue with your website and online ordering. If you select Room Darkening on the first page, go to the second page and then go back, Room Darkening is no longer selected. So, I have 5 shades that I thought were Room Darkening but arrived not.
If you select Room Darkening and Save, the order is processed correctly. I bought the first 5, installed them and noticed they seemed ‘thin’. I just bought another shade where I did the ‘Save’ and it is definately different.
Bought cellular shades to replace an old pair on our back deck doors that we removed years ago because we didn’t like the cord mechanism, and to replace a cotton curtain in the master bath that we never got around to updating.
The newer cordless shade pull style is much nicer on the pair of doors than corded styles – it just makes mire sense. They work well. And the newer mount is a breeze to install. The one in the bath is a top-down bottom-up, which is great because it lets in light and allows us to see the sky and trees without sacrificing privacy.
All shades arrived in good condition, cut to the proper size, and with all hardware. I also like how easy it is to pop the shades out of the mount for any cleaning or accès to the doors/windows.

These shades, for the price, are really good. They definitely dont hide that they are a more affordable shade for your window. But they are easy to use and durable as we have them in our children’s toy room and they put them up and down often, themselves.
Only knock is if you dont do put them up at a slower controlled speed they get all bunched and need a second to “catvh up”.

I purchased this shade June 2013 for a window in a laundry room. We seldom opened or closed the blind, in fact the blind was not likely raised and lowered more than thirty times. In three years it suddenly became completely impossible to raise.
We took it down and discovered the cord mechanism was completely shredded. It’s just my husband and myself, and you’re not likely to find a situation that is more gentle on this product. We purchased the 48×72 size in alabaster and paid $64.
In three years, we threw the blind away; really sad since the shade itself looked brand new. We have cellular blinds throughout our house, but none of them are “cordless”. They have lasted, literally, twenty years.
This one died after three years of the most gentle use. The “cordless” system is poorly engineered and a temporary fix. $64 is way to much for the tiny amount of use we got. Will not repurchase and would not recommend.
I bought two blinds to replace existing blinds that were damaged. I spent a lot of time trying to hang one blind. One of the support clips would not hold the blind. I finally checked the support clips from a second blind I had bought against the clip that wouldn’t hold the blind in questions.
I found that the second blind’s clips were different. The metal clip on the support clip that didn’t work was not formed properly. I was able to remove the defective metal clip and replace it with the identical part from one of the blinds I was replacing.
It worked. I would purchase these again but would certainly check them for proper operation before installation.
I bought 4 cellular shades and exchanged 1 because the clip on the bracket that secures the shade in place was not made properly and the shade could not be secured in place. 4 days after installation, a different shade fell on the floor.
Apparently, the clips on the brackets bend with the weight of the shade and allow the shade to fall out. I just disposed of the packaging so can’t return them. I spoke to a manager at Boscov’s who said she was not aware of this bracket problem and suggested I contact the manufacturer to ask if they have a sturdier bracket.
I don’t see an alternative to secure the shades. I guess I’m out $120 (on sale and with a discount).
