20 Best Winch For Jeep Wrangler (2023 Updated)

This winch was mounted onto my equipment trailer to facilitate loading/unloading of anything that doesn’t move under it’s own power. It was mounted using a Harbor Freight universal winch plate and some custom bracketry I made up.

I have it powered by an isolated battery mounted on the trailer. It was easy to install and came with everything needed to bolt the winch down and wire it up to a battery within a few feet of it. Instructions were clear enough to understand with basic mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Upon first use, winch performed flawlessly to load and unload a 4500lbs non running tractor. The overall construction seemed adequate, but not overbuilt. Mounting options for control box seemed flimsy and poorly engineered but will suffice.

Winch speed was good for my needs and had no problem pulling the load with no noticeable motor heat generated. 4 stars were given for a good product at a good price. It’s not a high dollar winch, but the price reflects and I’m very happy with the purchase.

Awesome fit very easy to install cant screw up four wires but I did. Dork. Had pos and neg to battery flip flopped I was tired. Works great hook it up to the tree out front and pulled the Jeep around.

Very heavy built like a tank hope it last along time I have it mounted on a 2011 JK and wires were perfect length to the battery all hardware included three different mounting options for the solenoid I mounted it flush over the spool.

Mounted it and had it running by myself in under 2 hrs what took me so long was had to remove the fog light s to get to the front two bolts that was a pain. When installing the nuts to mount it to the bumper out the nut in all the way in the holder pack a half of a paper towel in the hole to keep it pushed all the way in them out a piece of tape over the paper and hole that will hold the nut still while you push the bolt through the bottom of the bumper into the nut worked great them just pull the duck tape off and the paper will come out easy trick.

Pre mount everything and do a test fit before you decide to mount it feed your wires into the engine compartment before bolting it in I ended up changing my mind after I test fitted twice. Definitely need a strong battery mines a 800 recommends minimum of 650 & or a high output alternator of more than 160.

Do not over tighten the cables to the winch they are soft metal and you will break the threads on the four post comes with very clear instructions on this and everything youll need.

Overall I like the winch, only tested it once, and haven’t had to use it, though, so an update will be needed after several uses. My biggest complaint so far is the solenoid mounting options. If you mount the solenoid over the cable drum as I did, then you’ll found out just how many corners a company will cut in order to reduce the price.

It’s not solid, it’s not held in place by a screw or bolt of any kind. It’s not even really “clipped” in place. I followed the instructions to the letter, but if you were to set a heavy coffee cup on the top of the solenoid, it would fall down onto the cable coils.

It’s insulting really. My wife has an idea for zip tie-ing it and that will probably be much stronger. If I move it over to the side, it will at least have some screws holding it, but it will be “floating” over the motor, attached only at the side.

This is my first winch, so I don’t know if they’re all that cheap, or just this one. But if I can ignore that for the moment, everything else seems solid and the installation was straightforward. I installed it on a winch-ready bumper that was already mounted.

It took me three hours, and I had to get my wife to use her tiny hands to reach into some tight spaces a couple of times. There was plenty of slack in the cable to reach the battery terminals. In fact I had about 18″ too much of the negative wire.

My battery is officially under-rated at 600CCA, the instructions call for 650CCA minimum, however I was able to power in 70 feet of cable under a small load with no problems. I guess I’ll need to add a battery upgrade to my ever growing list of mods.

This winch is not recommended for a 4 door, but mine is still fairly lightweight, and with some common sense, a snatch block and a little luck, it should be enough to get me out of most situations until I can afford to upgrade.

I bought this as a replacement for the dead WARN winch on my Defender. It was about 1/5 the cost but I thought worth a risk. I fitted the winch into the standard holes and it went in easily. The instructions were for 3 different winch types but not this exact winch.

It wasn’t difficult to work out what to do so this is a very minor point. I have used it to winch a Peugeot 308 up a hill and it worked perfectly. The remote control is useful too. So amazing value and does the job brilliantly so far.

I really debated whether to buy a Smittybilt X20 or a Warn EVO for a little more money. I finally decided to go with the Warn and so far I’m happy. The install was pretty straightforward and although I’ve only used the winch once it did what it should, and the wireless remote option is nice.

The style of bumper I’m using does NOT allow me to use a winch cover, so time will tell how well the finish of the winch holds up. One note, the bolts for mounting the fairlead hawse plate were too short for my bumper, and I had to replace them with longer ones.

Although I am using an aftermarket bumper (BAMF), it’s only. 25″ thick steel so really no excuse for these bolts not being long enough. ALSO: Donna Marquita posted a negative review of the winch saying she couldn’t get the winch to wind in.

I would bet $100 she disengaged the winch to spool it out and forgot to move the handle back to.

I have a 99 Isuzu trooper with a ARB bumper. winch arrived with broken plastic cover on top. This is the first Winch I’ve ever had but it was sent back and am currently waiting the replacement. The instruction for installation would be easy If I Owned A jeep.

The installation instructions for a Trooper are not included. I know the simple fix is buy a Jeep, but I like my little outcast At least it isn’t a bronco.

Can’t really say much about it as I haven’t had time to fit it. “To many projects on the go” but they keep nagging me for a review, so here go’s Winch looks the part, quick service and delivery. there is one thing Bimson power could improve on.

When ordering online it would be helpful if you were presented with a list compatible items you might need to complete the installation, such as brackets, and how about stocking some Anderson plugs for disconnecting power cable if making your winch portable/removable.

Don’t let the great low price fool you because this winch is serious business!! I admit that I was skeptical about it at first, but after all of my research I pulled the trigger on it and man am I glad I did! No corners cut on this bad boy.

I would absolutely put it up against any other winch in it’s class. It is super strong and durable and is made with high quality parts, not some Chinese/Amazon knock off. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar this is one of the best recovery systems out there! I would highly recommend this winch along with anything Rough Country makes.

I have had this winch for around 8 months. I own a landscape company and use it all the time. I have pulled out over 50 bushes and helped me drop a few trees. The other day I had 20 yards of mulch delivered and the driver tried to turn around in the yard.

He ended up stuck in the mud and with out any problems my rough country 12000lb winch got him out right away. By my guess his truck and mulch weighed more than 25000lbs. I will definitely will be buying anther one for my next truck! Also mine winch was missing a few parts when it came in.

I called customer service and they sent me the missing parts right away with no hassle. Great customer service!.

I just ordered this winch for my 2022 Rubicon Gladiator. The delivery was timely. The winch out of the box looks awesome. The red synthetic line really stands out! The installation looks easy and will complete in the next week.

Customer service prior was excellent. I had a couple questions about mounting to my stock bumper and I got an immediate response back which was very impressive. The person responding was knowledgeable and sincerely interested in my questions.

The warn be evo 10k winch with synthetic rope is by fr the most superior winch of all brands. Sure its a little more pricier but Id rather have a warn and get stuck than trust any one of the other brands.

Have not used it yet on my Jeep but I have used subpar winches on other peoples vehicles and they overheat or snap the line,(which is so, so dangerous), or they just plain old dont operate as describe in the manual.

Bottom line, why buy multiple winchs when you can just get a warn, with synthetic rope, and dont forget the cover to keep the rope from dry rotting, and you will never have to buy another ever, ever again.

We have three of these winches on our work trucks. Im in charge of fleet maintenance and when asked about equipping our 1 tons with winches, I immediately said WARN. Great so far with one recovery in a midnight blizzard last winter.

Looking at synthetic line to replace the heavy steel cable. Cant comment on recovering Jeeps and Toyotas yet.

Straight forward installation via YouTube on my Body Armor 4×4 hiline series bumper. Lack of instructions included in packaging. Mounting the bottom with the screws to the bumper was a very tight and tricky endeavor.

Make sure your gear box is turned on with red switch before mounting. Had a mini heart attack trying to get it to work after mounting bumper and winch back up to truck with everything connected to battery because no instructions said anything about red switch on gear box.

Winch is good, install was difficult, minuscule hard copy of install instructions, but thank God for YouTube. Wireless remote is an awesome addition. Just make sure you have an extra 23A battery on hand.

This winch was very easy to install. Assembly of the winch, wiring and all took less than 15 minutes and installation onto the bumper took less than 10 minutes. The power cables provided were just enough length to route and connect to the battery/ground.

Already has to use it once this past weekend. It was meant to be. The power this thing has was perfect and the operation was flawless. 5 stars!.

Haven’t actually used it but appears sturdy. Installed easily although instructions are lacking. Installed on a New Barricade bumper so mated up with no issues. The control box brackets were vent so even after trying to straighten it still was a very very flimsy design.

Two small “set” screws are suppose to hold the control until into the winch rails. Someone in design needs to be given a permanent vacation. I purchased 48” #2 battery cables (1 red & 2 black), and extended the originals so the control unit could be securely mounted in the engine compartment high and dry.

Now I feel like it’s a solid install. Although the 3 cables cost an extra $80.

Overall this winch appears to be solid and reasonably priced winch compared other big name brands out there. Attaching it to the Barricade Adventure HD bumper I bought was easy, although I had to go online to look at YouTube videos for better installation instructions.

My only concern right now is the plastic housing that encloses the control module. The heavy gauge wires that come out of it seems too big for the cut-out meant for it. Also it’s not very well insulated which may expose it to the elements.

Additionally, the mounting brackets for it could be better designed, as mine was bent when I opened it, but this could be from the company who delivered it. In the future I will see about protecting it better from the elements and replicating it elsewhere.

Last note, the red positive cable was barely long enough to reach my battery post for my JLU Rubicon, but I had an excess amount of the black negative cable. Overall, I’d recommend this winch aw a first mod to your rig!.

Of all the parts I’ve installed so far, THIS one was the most nerve wracking for me personally due to it needing to be connected to the battery and the cables that needed to be run the through the front of the Rubidooder.

My suggestion would be to run the lights up through just behind the passenger side grille next to the light (to the left of it if your facing head on). Although there was a little anxiety about getting it all connected I was lucky enough to have a friend on hand for the cable portion of the install.

I haven’t had a chance to actually real world test it but, it does actually work and so far I’m really happy with it!.

I’ve been wanting a winch for the occasional off-roading we do. We maybe head out 4-5 times a year for some trail fun. and wanted to have a way to help me our of any “sticky” situation. I found a couple YouTube videos (specifically looking for JL’s with factory steel bumpers) that were really useful for the install.

Install took about 3 hours and we had all the right tools thanks to my dad’s extensive collection. The winch plate is from JL Off-Road and was pretty straightforward, but had to use the floor jack more than I thought we would.

The winch itself is very easy to install. The top control is finicky to attach, but the wiring is easy and well documented and easy to do (all color-coded and self explanatory. ) It’s a REALLY tight fit up against the grill.

The battery connections are plenty long and the control is easy to use. I did NOT like the factory installed hook at the end of the synthetic rope, so we used a grinder to cut it off and installed a Factory 55 Flatlink connector.

All in all it looks really great. Nice clean look inside the bumper. I was hoping that someone had run off the road on my way home, but alas. I will have to wait to pull someone (or myself) out of trouble for another day.

I enjoyed installing this winch on my Iron Cross Bumper. it was all easy to install and all self explanatory. This winch is about as solid looking as in the construction of it. It’s really built well from what I seen so far and the fitment of it is what I was looking for.

I needed one that could hold up to many scenarios and it looks to be just this for me. I have many pics of the installing of this winch and the before and after look is a story in itself. I do like how this all came together and the looks of it is everything I am wanting.

I have made most of my purchases from American Trucks if parts are available in stock and fast shipment is there within reason. So far I’ve not had any issues with American Trucks supplying me with all I am looking for in my truck.

I’ll preference that I have not used to unstick a vehicle; however, I have personally installed and used it to wind the rope initially. This is a very heavy duty winch that seems well constructed and easy to install.

It comes well packaged, however the instructions could be rewritten to be easier to install. In addition, when I tightened a cable to the power terminal on the winch, it broke off. I was able to still connect the cable and had enough threads to tighten.

However the initial tightening was not over done and I find it to be faulty. Overall I am pleased at this point.

Awesome service! I researched/shopped around for truck winches and I settled on a 12,000 lb (synthetic rope) Mile Marker. It has a good reputation, ISO certified and used in military vehicles. I was skeptical of all the brands that have similar looking clone winches on Amazon.

I can’t speak for their hydraulic line of winches but as far as their Electric line. Walk away! They are JUNK i will never own another one again. Straight out of the box the planetary set had to be cleaned out, it was packed so tight with grease that it would barely free spool, just out of warranty the solenoid started failing, after that the motor failed due to internal rust and corrosion because the motor doesn’t have any type of seals at all.

When i contacted Mile Marker i was told i was not supposed to get it wet. WHAT???? I have a Superwinch thats over 20 years old that has never been covered and has made pulls UNDER WATER and has never failed to work, the Mile Marker failed 2 out of 3 times used, it has since been replaced with a Superwinch TS 9500 and now sits in the corner of my garage collecting dust.

I received two of these winches very fast from Summit. Installation was made easier with this new style winch & assembly and the free spool part of these new style winches is greatly improved unspools with ease.

I winched a 6000 LBS John Deere tractor up my deck over trailer using single cable. It pulled with ease until it got to the dove tail where it goes up a 45 degree incline now it was pulling 8000 LBS or more.

Very impressed.

Once I got the winch mounted on the aftermarket bumper I installed on my Jeep after a lot of modification to the bumper, the winch works great. Wiring it in was fairly easy and the instruction sheet was easy to understand.

I spooled the cable out and back in without any trouble what so ever other than being a little slow but I expected that. I would recommend this winch to anyone looking for a low priced economical winch that will give you years of service.

Buried my jeep up to the axle in sticky mud. This winch pulled me and all the lumber I was transporting out with ease.

Very easy to install. You do need to modify the slot for cable clearance. Which I did with a dremel. Looks great and I cannot wait to try it out.

This winch is a workhorse! I had a Warn 8274 winch on my 1978 CJ7 and never had any problems. I chose this winch because of the ability to electrically disengage the clutch (alleviates having to wade through mud to manually disengage the clutch) and the wireless remote.

The winch mounts “in” the factory bumper of my 2018 JLUR and looks very nice. It took a while to mount this winch because there isn’t a lot of room to work there. It took an evening and most of the next day to mount but worth it when done.

Just follow the detailed instructions and don’t get in a hurry. You could pinch a wire (almost did) or not tighten the mounting bolts to the correct torque. It looks fantastic when it is mounted. I’m not sure I needed the 12K but would rather have and not need than to need and not have.

Overall, I am very please with this winch and will have it for many, many years. P. S. The only change will be replacing the wire rope with a synthetic rope.

I really like this product. It’s made well and assembly was super simple. However, the paint has flaked off on almost all the sides and the hook points. Of course, then it rusts and flakes off some more.

The initial paint job looked really nice and I really do like the product, but now it’s rust red instead of a nice red paint coat. I’m going to take it off, try to clean up and repaint myself. For the price, I’m disappointed that I need to do all that work after a few years.

I do have many other Maximus-3 products that I REALLY like, but they are having some paint/rust challenges as well.

Product quality was excellent and am very happy with the product. Wireless remote control operation is somewhat intuitive but reading the instructions is necessary. Installed the winch on a Rough Country Winch Mount HWCH001FD in a 2014 Ford Raptor.

Material removal on both the winch mount and vehicle was necessary. Approximately 3/4″ of the hood safety latch mounting flange had to be removed to fit the winch into the area behind the bumper and the latch moved forward a corresponding amount.

Install the winch mounting nuts into the slots in the winch feet and retain the nuts in their slots using tape before lowering the winch into place. It not possible to install the winch mounting nuts after the winch is placed on the mount.

Lots of power. Looks good. No spool tensioner.

Looks good havent used it yet but everything as described should be a good asset to my truck

I have not mounted my Hyper Tough 10,000 lb. Electric truck Winch with Synthetic Rope because I don’t have the necessary winch mount/bumper yet. I’m waiting on my income tax refund to do that. So I can’t give a field or use review.

But I can give a review of my impressions of the unit itself. The winch seems to be a well made, quality unit. The supplied power leads are of a heavy enough gauge to safely power the unit. The synthetic rope is a big plus.

Every other winch or come-a-long I’ve ever owned had braided steel wire cable. And it doesn’t take long for the braided cable to fray, rust and end up biting you in the hand. The synthetic rope is a big improvement.

Now getting rusty steel burrs embedded in your hands are a thing of the past. There are a few things I don’t like about the package. First is the fairlead. It’s described as a Hawse fairlead. That means it is not a roller fairlead.

With the Hawse, it’s recommended you pull as close to straight as possible. With a roller fairlead, you can pull at a 45 degree side-to-side angle and a 15 degree up or down angle. I will purchase a roller fairlead to go with the bumper.

Seldom, maybe never, is there an anchor point in the exact right place. The other thing is a pulley. Anybody who use a winch has a pulley to double the pulling capacity of the winch. Or to make an offset pull.

A pulley is also on my shopping list. Pay close attention to page 13 of the Owner’s Manual and the paragraph explaining the Duty Cycle. It might be a day or trip saver. With the additions of the 2 items to purchase I mentioned above, I believe the Hyper Tough 10,000 lb.

Electric Winch will give me years of good service. Have fun. Be safe. Return home. Lostboy.

This winch is nice a sturdy well built machine. I really like that a remote comes with it. To be honest this is the first winch that I’ve ever owned. So I didn’t know what to expect when I got it. I definitely didn’t expect the weight of it.

Very heavy and a pretty good size. I did hook it up and it definitely works. I didn’t want to bolt it to my actual truck though so I plan on buying a tailgate mounted so that I can take it off/on. I definitely think that it is worth having.

I did have a hard time understanding the instructions.

Hello Jeepers! Bought this R/C front stubby bumper and it took months for me to get around to installing it. Mostly because I had a couple other things I was waiting for, to do all the work at the same time.

To the bumper. it arrived really quick but it almost seemed to quick to be true until I realized when I opened the box. it didnt “seem” to be brand new. It was loosely packed in an oversize cardboard box, no plastic bag like I am accustomed to on new parts.

And the finish on the bumper seemed a little beat up. Very odd for XT. Like I said I was coordinating other work that was to be done at the same time. So rather than send back the $170 bumper I opted instead to spend another $120 on getting a new powder coat finish in a semi gloss black to better match my jeep accessories.

(See pics). Fresh powder coat complete and several months passed until I installed the bumper about 2 months ago. (Purchased in March/Installed in Sept. ) Install was not exactly easy and I am a pretty good wrencher.

But I got through it in an afternoon. Overall I am pretty pleased with this purchase. It gave me the look I was after and is winch-ready should I decide to install one. My biggest issue is where the aftermarket bolts on the top surface meeting the bumper.

they are already starting to shows signs of light surface rust. That tells me there is either some dissimilar metal corrosion occuring or some type of inferior metal (likely in the bolt). No chips occurred during my install.

These bolts are the T45 or T50 that came with the bumper kit (as beefy as you would want and similar to seat belt hardware, powder coated black as well). So that’s why I give 4 stars vs 5. Not sure the fit/finish is on par with what I expected.

Are they deal breakers?. that’s up to you to decide. I like the look, it is functional, and is an improvement over the stock bumper. Will it last the 19 years the original did?. time will tell.

This is my first product from rough country. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. The bumper fits between the fenders allowing for maximum approach angle and wheel clearance. The build is superior and the bumper is very heavy.

It appears that the design of the bumper has changed slightly from the photos above. The mounting bracket is one piece and welded to the front cover instead of the two piece mount pictured. This dramatically complicated installation as there was very little room to secure the bumper frame screws with the winch in place.

A stubby 15mm and 19mm racheting box wrench are needed for the frame screws and the winch needs to be mounted to the winch plate after the bumper is secured to the vehicle. Grade 8 hardware is included.

Ordered the bumper for 2012 JKU. Ordered light hoop with it. Easy to install the bumper is very heavy and durable. If mounting a winch though, the last two holes near grill won’t allow the bolt to fit through bottom due to the solid 45 degree plate blocking it from bottom.

(Skid Plate). So when you try to use the front 2 holes instead the bumpers front area prevents the mounting of their winch which I also bought. After trimming it up myself everything fit great. (Grinding area to fit winch).

Would give 5 star but no access to rear holes for winch due to plate, so poor design.

Overall the product is a five star but the directions being somewhat vague bring it down. Box was delivered with more tape then Red/Green uses on his show. Luckily the protective wrap kept the plates from getting marred or deep scratches.

Now to the install. I took my time and had to undo a couple steps even when using the user provided instructions as when printed (color) the pictures were hard to make out some fine details. I center mounted my winch (X20 10K) and did not have to cut the vacuum pump braket.

The only thing cutting it out would have done was made putting the bumper nuts back on easier. Overall, over 4 hrs of work which included about 10-15 minutes of looking for the best route to run the battery cables.

The fit is tight with the vacuum pump relocated and sitting very close to the disconnect on passenger side. Only piece is you will need the MOPAR fairlead plate regardless of center or offset mounting.

So this was very difficult to install. Once in, it fit great and looks fantastic. The vacuum pump relocation was tough to get in place, this install also required some cutting but a reciprocating saw will do the trick.

Just paint the exposed metal. The plates were difficult to get into place but fit well once there. Mounting the winch was tough too. Not much room to get the back up nuts in place. I used tape on the end of a screw driver.

This install took more than 6 hours by myself.

This plate is a good product. I purchased it for my Rubicon Hard Rock XA bumper. Installing the bolts was difficult due to the bumper, not the plate. However when I installed the fairlead adapter plate from Mopar the lower right hole was blocked by the winch plate.

This forced me to drill through the plate, no big deal, but an inconvenience. Super simple install as far as the plate is concerned. A little labor intensive because the bumper must be removed but directions were easy.

Nothing but love. Free shipping and better price than anyone I could find including wholesalers. Looks awesome also. Bluetooth remote unexpected cool feature.

After him-hawing for months I chose the WARN over cheaper made alternatives for reliability, ease of installation and safety for my family when the need arises. Installation was a snap. It appears to be put together nicely and worked as it should when I hooked it up.

The wiring harness installed easily. The Split loom was already installed to protect the positive lead. The bulky remote is not flimsy and easy to find when you need it.

There were NO installation instructions. Should the wiring been done BEFORE it gets mounted, or after? There is no “descriptive” layout of what is supposed to be hooked where on the module box. Currently I have no main ground wire hooked up, and have no idea where it’s supposed to go.

And the winch is already installed into the bumper. So as of now, it’s a 40 lb weight on the front doing nothing.

I absolutely love this bumper. It looks great on my Jeep and really makes it pop! I had issues with it being damaged in shipping by ET really took care of me! Some things to note: – The video guide says you can splice the lights directly into your factory lighting.

You can do this, but you must keep the black box in line. – It isn’t an exact bolt on. There is some play space between them. Do not tighten them down until you have ALL of your bolts in. – Winch plate runs close to the bumper.

You may have to install winch guard backwards like I had to.

No imperfections that I’ve found in the powder coat, or the steel. Its either my Jeep in particular, or the two center bolt holes on the bumper, but the bolts do not sit flush under the license plate, its a non issue since the plate sits far enough away that the bolts didn’t interfere.

Says you need to buy new bezels and brackets for the plate lights, if installing on any trim higher than a sport, with LED lights. the factory LED Plate light bezels and brackets were the same off my Willy’s as the ones I ordered from my Dealership only took me and my brother about 1.

5 hours to remove old bumper, plate lights, and trailer plugs and install the new bumper. Installing the Plate lights into the bumper is a bit of a pain, you have to coax the clips of the brackets to snap over the bezel.

holes in bumper are oversized for the light assembly’s, allows for some fine tuning of the lights though there may be a gap around one side of the bezel. Picked this bumper over some of the cheaper options because, it mounts using the factory 6 bolts instead of 4.

Excellent design and heavy build. Eliminates the funky red hook in favor of D ring shackles. I ordered Warn shackles rather than the galvanized that come with the kit. Good clearance on 285/70 R16 spare.

Only issue is there is no place on the bumper to mount a license plate and light. Removal of the factor plastic bumper is not difficult, takes some time. Once removed, the delete bumper can be bolted on in 5 minutes.

I took a gamble on getting this since I could not find a single example of this being installed. Well, at the end of the day, it’s pretty basic. Take off your bumper. Remove inner frame horn support bracket.

Save the bolts. Slide this into place with a few whacks of a rubber mallet. Loosely re-install bolts from inner frame horn brackets. They include 2 small bolts to align the plate to the frame horns. I torqued down the re-used bolts only to find the one of the eight frame horn bolt holes did not line up.

I recommend using at least two more bolts. Install your winch and put your bumper back on. They packed the bumper using pool noodles which might work if they taped all of them in place. But only the center one was taped and the two end ones came off during shipping.

There’s a little too much room for sliding around. So one end broke through the box and arrived gouged. Since its behind the bumper, I just painted it and called it a day. The good news is that it works well with the Galdiator Rubicon and there are no issues with the sway bar motor mount.

I did have to wallow out the two skid plate bolts at the bottom since the thickness off the winch plate pushed the entire bumper 1/4 forward.

This is a stout mount for a winch! Installation was straight forward but it required some modification for my Harbor Freight Badland Apex winch. The winch wouldn’t sit all the way into the mount because of the lip on back.

I ground the lip down 1/4″ and that resolved the issue. I also discoverd that once I got my factory Rubicon steel bumper back on the spool control on the winch hit the bumper. I pulled the grinder back out and shaved off some of the factory steel to get it to work.

Overall this is a good product, but be prepared that “one size fits all” means you might need to make some modifications.

Install was easy. Fit really well until putting a smittybuilt 12k winch on the plate. Wish it had another set of mounting bolt holes for the winch about a half inch further away from the grill, I am going to drill my own so I can get clearance for the solenoid bow to be mounted on top of the winch.
