20 Best Wigs For African American (2023 Updated)

I read LOTS of reviews on this wig and was a bit worried about it but I have to say it was the best part of my Studio 54 costume. I have worn lots of wigs so know how to treat them, you need to spend a good 15 minutes playing with this wig and moulding it in to place but once I did it looked exactly like the picture on the front I loved it! And great value!.

This is nothing like how the picture shows just a big lump of frizz, and following the additional styling has made it look 10 times worse. I am unable to wear this and as there is no return policy a complete waste of money.

The wig was squashed and looked nothing like the picture, even after I tried to restyle it. Still in the box, unused.

This wig is a dream. It looks really natural and blends well with my gray hair. It is also easy to customize the style (I trimmed it a little). I got several compliments and my uncle even asked me to get one for his wife.

I have this wig in several colors. The last one I purchased is like the model is wearing in the picture. Since my own hair is grey, I don’t have to worry about my hairline sneaking out. The grey blends like with some black in the back in an Ombre style.

I get lots of compliments.

I think this unit is very age appropriate for women in their sixties. I got this in a off black. I only wish it came with top and bottom combs for more security support. Other than that, I really like this hair.

The curls look very natural. I like my curls with volume so I comb them out with a hair pick. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments because people actually think it is my hair! WINNER, yes I will be ordering more.

Purchased white afro wig to use in a skit at our 55+ Christmas Party. I played Sophia from the “Golden Girls”. The white afro wig and a pillbox hat were a smash hit. The wig was very good quality, fit perfectly and very inexpensive.

The delivery was free and incredibly fast. I will go to Party Land first the next time I need any costume props. Lynne.

This thing came in flat like cardboard and nothing like the picture. no amount of attempting to either undo the flat via hands worked, similarly no way to fluff the hair either. it stayed flat. so could not use it.

Hi I would like to receive this product because it likes fabulous nice wig I love the texture of the wig and would like to experiment on it for fun.

This was only wig I ever found that looks like an afro these days. If the cap was smaller and made of better material, instead of paper it would be perfect. After I made the cap smaller, which is new to me because I have dreds and can never find a wig big enough to hide them.

The hair is just the right length and curl. The cap needs to be made of a better material instead of paper to make it a reusable wig. Right now it feels disposable, with the paper cap, otherwise it’s perfect.

More like a shower cap with hair threaded into it. The texture of the hair is lovely, but it will come out when you attempt to style this thing. Disappointed as it was completely unusable for my cosplay.

It’s definitely big and fluffy, but I couldn’t get it as big as in the pictures. Just looked a bit flat and constantly slipped backwards. But it didn’t shed like I thought it perhaps might and leave awkward curly black hairs all over!! Seemed good quality.

The presentation of the wig was impeccable! Nicely wrapped for the holidays with a card over the fantastic branding. I initially felt unsure and anxiety about as a first time wig wearer, but felt relieved receiving my package.

It was truly a gift, to myself to wear during calls in out remote work environment now. My only concern was the wig did have a smell the reminded me of cigarettes, but it finally starting to disappear.

But wig looks and feels fabulous. I’ve received lots of compliments, I may even get another one!.

I really don’t want to hype this wig up so the price will not increase and the quality of the unit decrease due to demand. Last night I washed my wig in Tresemme, Garnier Sleek n Shine and Kenra moisturizing conditioner only and sprayed with Infusium 23 repair and renew leave in repair.

I mixed the conditioners, water and infusium 23 to activate the curls The curls are the bomb, the first wig is long, full and nice. It did not shed or mat up. I do not plan on flat ironing. The lace is great.

I have naturally curly hair so my baby hair works well with this wig. I plan on purchasing the wig again just for a back up for the summer and fall.

I purchased this wig because I needed an everyday wig. The hair is indeed soft and beautiful, it looks very natural. What I like most is that it is flexible and easy to change up the style. The natural color is a little too dark for my complexion, so I lighted it up with temp hair spray to compliment my skin color.

Tried this wig at a local salon shop however, could not find a new one in stock to purchase locally. Was happy and delighted to find one on Ebonyline, and for half the price. Unfortunately, I did not attempt to wear it until ~ 3 weeks receiving it, only to discover the curls on the front and part of crown appear to have been partially combed or brushed out and I found a loose, medium length strand of hair in the cap (.

my hair is a very short silver gray afro. ). It took me a little bit to realize the top was just not as curly as the sides and back of the wig. No where, as I ordered, did I see a reference that the item was a display or clearance model.

I purchased 1 for myself (1B) and 1 for my sister (F1B-30). Absolutely love this wig! The color of my 1B turned into a dark auburn after several shampoos; apparently this was the wig hair’s original color that had been dyed to 1B.

But it doesn’t matter as I’ve dyed my natural hair a dark auburn in the past. Love that it is not very thick especially since my natural hair is very fine. Those who know me and those who do not thinks that it’s my natural hair.

The online picture is completely brushed out so if you wash and let it air dry it’s actually curlier. Started drastically losing my hair about 8 months ago and tried everything. Love the overall of the headband unjt, except for one little worry, well a big worry, that it will one day slide right on off. I dont care for the combs, they creat tension and pull on my scalp, so i dont use them.

There’s not enough velcro fabric to attach the sticky tape backing. Therefore, the wig is not tight enough on my head, because my head is a bit smaller than the wig cap size. May, i suggest adding more velcro fabric on the band.

Other than this, the unit is absolutely lovely! I will be purchasing from company again. I refered a friend.

Love, love, love, it! I ordered the curly human hair headband wig. I usually wear synthetic hair wigs, but I watched a YouTube demonstration/review of this wig and liked it so I decided to try it out.

It cost a bit more than I like to pay for a wig, but it looked so cute and the versatility of how you can style it convinced me to buy it. I’m so glad that I did! The quality is great and it looks so natural.

I ordered the silky straight 18” headband wig. It arrived in about 8 days. I’ve worn hb wigs in the past so I know how easy they are to put on, but they were synthetic and tangled if you turned your head twice.

This human hair hb wig is everything! The only con is it’s a little too long for my preference; I should have gotten a 16”. But that’s my error and nothing to do with the wig quality. I’ve worn it 3-4 times so far and it has NEVER tangled, even on a windy day! I was concerned about wearing it during the summer because I didn’t want to get overheated, but the wig did not add any extra heat.

I use a wig grip because I did not want to use the combs (hair is thinning due to alopecia). The attached Velcro strap on the wig adds extra security. it does not move and is very comfortable. Will definitely order another one.

You make me feel young, modern, beautiful, and confident when I wear this gorgeous style wig! Honestly, it’s worth is more like $400, but I don’t mind the gift. I know my wigs and this is one that I’ve ordered three separate times with variations of color.

The color shown on photo is GM832A. I was stepping out, treating myself to a bit of culture with the arts, A live dance performance at Phoenix’ Orpheum Theater, a building so breathtaking beautiful, I had to dress up just to enter its elegant pedigree.

Gold leaf trims, Renaisansce scenes painted on walls etc. The wig does not get old. I take care of my wigs simply using wig shampoo. swish n hang it on the shower head to dry. , cherubs, barque style.

I have never wore a VF wig before but I like the idea of a lace front that extends below the temples. For the price I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to adventure outside my typical short wig style to longer hair like I had before the hair loss.

It is soft full of body and ready to wear right out of the box. I did absolutely nothing in regards to training the hair or adding styling products. Wore it to work and was not recognized by many and they were clueless to it being a wig! The picture shown was taken the day I received the wig and just trimmed the extra lace off.

However with the good comes the bad. I read another review where the person talked about it fizzing within a week. I too am having that problem and already having to trim off these fried split ends. I have not washed it yet use only a wide tough wig comb and start at the ends to brush out the tangles.

I do not use any type of curling/flat irons or a blow dryer on my wigs either. Also the hair mats up at the nape of my neck. I wear a wig daily and compared to other brands VF doesn’t stand up to them.

But if you are looking for a wig for spice and a change of pace on the weekend (not for every day use) VF is a great economical and a fun option. I’ve worn another brand daily through playing and sliding in numerous softball tournaments playing league softball golf hiking and riding roller coasters.
