You know how people with straight hair can just run a comb through their hair, and it actually just glides through without getting all frizzy and tangly? This comb is basically a comb for curly hair — which sounds obvious, but dry or wet it just goes through with no problem and detangles great.

Unlike a denman brush your hair doesn’t need to be sopping wet either, so this is great for 2nd and 3rd day curls! It has a soft touch finish that isn’t obvious from the pics, which just makes it more gentle on curly hair.

I have 3C hair and it works great for lifting roots too, better than a pick in my opinion, which usually adds frizz at the roots. Great comb, little pricy but definitely worth trying if you have wavy or curly hair.

I’m so annoyed !! I hate when a design is so close to being perfect but it just doesn’t quite hit the mark. It comes in a beautiful package, velvet sleeves, great texture, and a well-designed box I was so excited.

But I came to realized they have probably invested more in the packaging than in the comb itself. It’s like putting lipstick on a cow and calling it a beauty queen. The plastic is light and cheap, it even has the sound of a cheap plastic comb.

you know what I mean right You can see the seams and the molding lines on them. They try to make look good so we wouldn’t notice but it’s really disappointing, my 5$ comb is actually better quality. I don’t think it cost more than 2$ to produce.

I absolutely love the shampoo and conditioner along with the caddy (although the caddy was a little over priced) but I am not impressed with the wide tooth comb. I have actually given it to my daughter and gone back to using my hair pick.

The wide tooth comb seemed to pull out way more hair – the inside edges are too blunt/sharp (not rounded enough) so for anyone with naturally curly hair (not to mention baby fine like mine) it was catching and pulling.

I will definitely continue to sue the shampoos and conditioners – I purchased 2 of the different shampoos and the 2 conditioners – tried the clarifying shampoo in the samples, but really don’t need it so I am sticking with the rice for strengthening and the others for moisture and hydration.

This is an outstanding comb. It is perfect for the shower! So, I use this when I apply a Moroccanoil Hair Mask. I layer the mask on and then comb my hair just to ensure that the mask is perfectly, evenly distributed.

It works wonders!I really like the curved end that allows me to put this on the showerhead and also lets the combs stay there until it dries and can be put away. I also really like the matte/silky-type coating on the comb.

This makes it move effortlessly through my hair (and it also feels really good in-hand). Finally, this is a thicker, better material than most similar combs. It does not bend and I cannot envision it breaking.

I felt compelled to right a review about something so important that I never got lucky in finding for my hair routine. Brushing/combing is so important and having the right tools makes such an impact on the outcome of your hair.

I have thick, long and wavy hair that gets tangled to easily not to mention is always dry (think AZ heat). This comb was seriously so helpful with frizz and combing through my crazy hair and best part it was painless.

This has been my go-to comb for decades. Unfortunately the new design is not as good as the previous. The tips of the combs have a little bit of plastic from the seam in the mold that hurts when it touches the scalp.

It is thinner so less comfortable to hold although it does seems sturdier since it’s rigid. Overall the new design feels like a cheapening without a price change, not an improvement.

I like the fine comb side but the big comb side really pulls and tugs on my wavy hair when it is wet. I wanted a comb for my wet hair as everyone says it is damaging to use a brush when your hair is wet but this feels like it’s doing more damage then my brush.

It’s also hard to hold in my hand when trying to use the wide tooth side. I’m ordering a different one with only wide combs and a large handle.

I absolutely LOVE this comb. I bought it on a whim, didn’t expect much, but it’s now become the one and one wide tooth comb I use to de-tangle and section my 4A hair. When used in combination with whatever leave-in conditioner or product you use, it really helps! I also noticed less hair being shed in comparison to other combs.

It has a good weight in the handle, sturdy “teeth”, and there is a dedicated thumb imprint so you’re not injuring yourself by gripping the comb incorrectly, and a hole at the end of the handle so you can hook it up in the shower.

These details are what really help set it apart from other products. (Side note: this will do nothing if your hair is wet. Always de-tangle hair damp/wet/moisturized!) If you have curly hair I highly recommend trying this out, don’t be fooled by the size of it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much hair this comb can tackle!.

This comb is really nice, I’ve got wavy hair that tends to get tangled, I use this right out of the shower and it nicely parts my hair into sections making it really beautiful once my hair dries and curls up.

The comb is a nice almost soft matte finish so it doesn’t slip out of your hands but glides through your hair easily. I also had my niece try this, she’s got very frizzy, kinky, curly hair, and super prone to tangles.

I have been trying to find the perfect hair tool for over 10 years. I used to have a plastic comb with tines too thin and a large plastic paddle brush to try to ‘feel good’ on the scalp when brushing (neither worked).

Omg! These products smell sooo good first of all! My hair was amazing!!everyone complimented me and commented how good it looked and smelled! Ok I never write reviews but I have to for LUS products and give the highest accolades to the founder! Absolutely incredible products that definitely deliver way beyond what I imagined. At first I didn’t order the comb because it seemed silly! With my second order I decided to try the comb and am glad I did because it does a really good job of moving the product through my hair in a way my fingers can’t! At the same time it’s removing the little knots that contribute to frizz & a final bonus is it’s a nice massage for my scalp! Years ago, on the advice of a stylist, I stopped brushing my hair because apparently it was better for curly hair to just use my fingers but now that I have the LUS comb, I will never not comb my hair! It feels great & helps me use less product because it evenly distributes a small amount throughout my hair.

My daughters has curly hair. I have straight hair and I have looked for a good product for years for them. It was not until I tried the sample kit from LUS that I finally found something that works for my daughters! Her hair looks natural, it does not crunch! and she can touch it, flip it and bring it back to curls by spraying her curls in the morning with water.

I love it so I bought the liter of the shampoo and conditioner it was an expense I did not mind paying. Unfortunately I could not buy the step 3 styling product till a week later and I was charged shipping.

its hard paying 45-50 a liter per product and then adding a $10 shipping fee.

The Kent Handmade 16T is the King or Queen of combs, simply the best. It’s not a pocket comb, it’s a larger and longer comb in length and in tooth height. Designed to be kept out, or in a drawer in your master bath, it is unisex, and it can travel in a medium purse, but not in a smaller sized handbag.

It’s large enough for the longer lengths of thick hair and yet precision crafted to a degree where folks with shorter thinner hair will also get excellent performance. Another design quality is how easily it cleans up after use, just run it under the hottest tap water and it can be shared among the family.

Each of the two sides are long enough to work independently from the other, course will untangle stubborn conditions and the fine tooth side works exceptionally well for refinement work. The only hair that I can see finer tooth combs excelling at by comparison is very fine thinning hair, as with a balding man.

Like all Kent combs, this one is a very high quality product. No problems on that side. What I wasn’t aware of was how slim it is. Be aware that the teeth are about 1 cm long; the whole thing perhaps half an inch wide.

It makes it a bit difficult to use. More than that, I’m always losing combs (that’s why I needed to buy one) and I can see this one disappearing in no time! But if that’s what you’re looking for, something so small, then go for it.

The only flaw is that the gold letters stating the name rub off. But it has nothing to do with how comfortable it feels when you comb your hair. The secret is in the design of the teeth. They are nicely rounded off unlike other combs I have tried.

This of course is my only KENT comb no need to try any others. The price is worth the extra cost but as father always said SHOP AROUND and in this case this company had the best price. They were quick to deliver the products ordered and I love that !.

Picked this up for my mother in law as she misplaced her comb. She’s quite a particular lady so I was worried about pleasing her. SHE LOVES THIS COMB! The color is perfect. The tines are perfectly spaced for her thicker hair and they aren’t sharp on the ends thus scratching the scalp.

Although I thought the price was kind of steep, it was worth her happiness.

Cheap plastic, but for the price I guess that makes it better than the matching brush. Love the clips, but they really missed the mark on the brush & comb in this line. Really disappointed to see such poor quality products marketed so highly for the holidays.

I purchased this on a whim because my daughter (we both have curly hair, mine is 3B) was staying the night away and forgot a shower comb. I also purchased one for me because it is cute. It’s difficult to hold onto in the shower due to the short teeth, so I stuck with my Goody comb with the hooked handle.

This Kathrine Ess comb, however, is good for outside of the shower as I’m shaping my hair to dry.

I have thick, somewhat coarse, wavy hair. It tangles and frizzes very easily, and to make matters worse, I am extremely tender headed. Originally I was using my fingers to detangle in the shower, which was pretty effective, but I wanted do try this instead.

SO HAPPY I DID! This comb GLIDES through my hair, and I’m able to fully detangle my hair in a quarter of the time it usually takes. And no pulling at my scalp! Fantastic purchase- and its so cheap!.

I love this comb. It is labeled as a shampoo comb but I use it as a daily comb for my thick coarse natural hair. It really helps me to detangle my hair and style it. This comb is definitely a new staple for my hair needs.

I use this to detangle with wet, damp, and dry hair and it’s great. Nicely spaced out so that my hair gets detangled, but not frizzy, and can spread my thicker hair masks and conditioners easily.

These are great combs for getting the tangles out of long hair. Just love them. Bought 12 so I can give them out to family and friends.

One side smooths the hair and puts it right into the exact place, the other side works well for texturing or spiking the hair. Both of my boys are able to manage their own hair styles with this. It seems durable and well made.

I have tried many different picks and combs for my curly hair, but this comb by far my favorite out of the bunch. I absolutely love the yellow color, and it has a higher quality compared to cheap plastic combs you’d normally find anywhere else.

I think its worth it, it helps with my tangles in the morning and it feels great, not like I’m tugging over and over trying to detangle my hair. Now if you have thicker hair I’d recommend their detangled paired with the comb.

This is a great detangling comb that I use in the shower with SB conditioners and out of the shower on damp hair with SB leave-ins to distribute product evenly. It’s high quality and doesn’t feel like cheap plastic even though it’s lightweight.

And it’s a vibe with that SunBum yellow color that it is.

The comb is really sturdy and a great size. The only hard thing about it is when I am brushing my hair out in the shower with conditioner (I have curly hair) it’s hard to hold on to. It’s kind of awkward.

Good detangling comb I use it on my and sons natural hair to set detangle in shower with conditioner or on dry hair. I’m satisfied with it, make teeth more wider, to minimize hair shed and knots. Vary affordable for the price.

I would recommend good at working conditioner thru hair.

My mother & I have been using an older version of the rat tail comb for years, but now some teeth are missing. I have noticed that the handle on the newer ones are much thinner, more pointed on the end, and the teeth are closer together, making it more difficult to hold and get through the hair.

Any plans to bring back the older version? Please consider doing so.

I have used the Goody comb since my Navy days in the ’70’s because of several reason but the two things that make it the best comb on the market are the unbreakable material used to make it and the separation of the teeth.

The teeth are round point and not pointed to hurt your head. My whole family used “my” comb as they grew up and now will only but a good product. Thanks for the great comb you make.

I love this comb! It sounds terrible but I have never used a wide tooth comb. I’m trying to give my hair some extra love and I recently bought a wooden brush. I decided to take it a step further and purchase this for when my hair is wet.

I have experience no breakage while using this, and I only shed maybe two or three hairs when I use this. Other brushes I was losing about 20 each brushing. Wonderful comb.

Purchased this gorgeous detangling comb to encourage myself to brush my super long (past my bottom) hair & overcome issues with it binding up into a knotted mess. I have literally used this comb EVERYDAY morning & night since I purchased it a month ago & my hair is loving me for it!! Super gentle on my knotty prone, long lengthed blonde hair & super pretty! The comb is great for thick wavy hair. Makes it look tidy with out making it fizzy. Get the knots out without any issues

I think this comb is really well designed. It fits nicely in my hand and the material is velvety smooth without being slippery. My hair glides through it would pulling or snagging. I’ve been using it in the shower to comb conditioner and hair masks into my hair.

When i’m done there’s very little hair fall out on the comb, much different from the cheap plastic combs i was using that pulled out a lot more hair. I notice my wet hair clumps and curls better after using this comb than my straight comb, which is everything! I only wish they had put a hole on the handle to hang it in the shower but overall i’m happy with it.

I have purchased several Mason Pearson brushes and combs from Howard in the past 12 years. I purchased my son’s first “real” brush as a toddler, he’s now 15 years old and still uses the same brush! I said to him, “I think it’s time to replace your brush for a bigger one!” He looked at me as if I had a 3rd eye on my forehead.

I’ve been looking for a wide comb tooth made out of bamboo for a while now but was only able to find miniature sized ones. Up until I purchased this and its the perfect size , basically a regular sized comb but with the added bonus of being out of sustainable materials.
