20 Best White Socks For Men (2023 Updated)

I purchased these Mens Work Gear Tube Socks at our Walmart one time a while ago. They are very thin material and course. They also wear holes into them very fast. Because of the thin material. I needed new Fruit of the Loom tube socks to replace my Men’s Dual Defense Tube Socks that are a lot softer, comfortable and lasts a lot longer than these Men’s Work Gear Tube Socks.

Unfortunately, since manufacturers and stores prefer not to carry ample stock in the stores anymore and expect everyone to purchase everything online these days. I made the mistake of purchasing these horrible Fruit of the Loom socks again through the Fruit of the Loom online store.

I returned them, and now in the process of waiting for Fruit of the Loom to refund my money. The return process appears to be easy, but the sad part is I purchased these with their first time buyer discount and now will have to purchased the Men’s Dual Defense Tube Socks at full price cost, because I wasted my first time buyer discount on ordering their wrong horrible product first.

This is why I dislike buying clothing items online. You have no way of feeling the type of material, if the size is the correct fit size for your body, and then returning the items becomes such a hassle and you are without the article of clothing you were needing in the first place for an additional week or however long it takes to do the return and purchased and shipped again.

I have been buying FOTL Men’s Work Gear Heavy Duty Crew Socks, for years now, from Target. They come packaged in a cardboard wrap-around, for $18. I bought these online because Target was out. This is not the product I thought I was buying.

They come in a plastic bag. These are a very thin sock, unlike the normal ones I have been buying. Don’t buy these, get the ones wrapped in cardboard instead. I am considering a return.

Well after waiting 2 weeks for my order to get to my house. I open the package and pulled out the socks. They where in a plastic big and put in a nether plastic bag. Witch seemed funny. Why but a plastic bag in a nether plastic bag.

But I find out why as soon as I open the first plastic bag. The smell was terrible. They shipped me socks that someone spilled something nasty on. Relly nice right? Had to wash them three times to get the smell out.

What happened to the Hanes 13-15 Sock Size? So disappointed those are gone. I was forced to purchase the 12-14 variant. The quality is there as always. Stitching is tight and good. However, I needed the 13-15, and the 12-14 is a little tight on my feet and I have to stretch the socks a little, which will wear them out faster.

They are soft and comfortable. I have always bought Hanes socks, whether Ankle or Tube. I’m happy. I just want my 13-15’s back.

I agree completely with Philbeanz. The quality of Hanes socks is no longer what it once was. I have been buying their socks for many years. They used to be thick and comfortable with high cotton content (as their T-shirts still are).

They are now thin and don’t last as long. Hanes no longer state the percentage of cotton in their socks. Although the styling is good, in my view, there are better options available elsewhere.

Honestly, I don’t know what socks to buy anymore because Hanes ankle socks were my go-to. They used to be thick, extremely comfortable socks that lasted a reasonable amount of time. They are absolute garbage now, and I can’t find socks anymore.

There is an obvious difference now, all of their socks are very thin and poorly assembled anymore, and it’s very unfortunate. I’ll never buy Hanes any longer. When you cut corners to try and make more money, but you sacrifice the quality of your product you lose your customers.

The quality of wigwam socks speak for themselves. The fact that they are made in America, and are still as good as the first time I’ve ever bought them says a lot about a company in a world where everything is being built cheaper and in foreign countries just to squeeze profits.

If you are asking me to give a review on the socks, I am not the “participation trophy “ type, so since the socks have maintained their standards, there are no stars for par. The stars I am giving should go directly to the testament of the source, Gemplers! I was in a pinch, because I work all of the time, and was forced to push my Christmas shopping off until the last minute.

These socks were a gift for someone who never would buy himself good quality, but was very generous to others, so, I wanted to make sure he got what I consider the best. The monkey wrench came in the form of his sock size.

He wears a Men’s medium, and either they are the most popular or the least popular size, but most places were out of stock, so I was forced to do the online thing. I was dreading that because the postal service where I live cannot figure out where my mail should go, and being the last minute and all, I was seriously expecting to hand him an IOU for Christmas.

I sucked it up and went online. I have never heard of Gemplers prior to this, so I figured I would try them. At the very least, I knew they would not get shipped to the Amazon and back, so I had a fighting chance to get what I wanted , and hopefully in time for the holiday.

Not only did they get there on time, but they were less expensive than the rainforest company, (who I am swearing off of due to their penchant for bullying and having a political bias, along with their love affair with all things made in China).

This is not about them though, this is about the phenomenal job Gemplers did to save a part of my Christmas holiday, and how thrilled I am to have found them. Thank you Gemplers for your on-time delivery, your proper stock of goods, your reasonable prices, and your very friendly staff! I will be back for sure!!.

I was looking for some cotton-based crew socks for everyday use, as so many of the socks out there are polyester now. There are a lot of things to like about these socks. There is lots of padding for the feet and they are very comfortable.

The material is thick and the calves are quite stiff, so I’m not sure these are great for the summer or workouts. Despite the stiffness, they stay comfortable and I do not pull at them or want to take them off in the middle of the day the way I want to do with cheaper socks.

I also like that I have size 13 feet and these are available in XL. So far I am very happy with these and I will buy more socks from this brand.

My husband has a small-sized foot (6. 5D) and it’s extremely hard to find socks for him that the heel doesn’t come way up over the foot and the sock length turns into a knee sock! The smallest size in Wigwam is just perfect; the fit is great and the sock on his foot fits well in his shoes without bunching or riding up out of place.

The sock is constructed exceedingly well, nice thickness and texture to it and holds up wash after wash with very little wear-and-tear; much nicer than ANY OTHER sock that I have purchased for him in 50 years.

Now that I have found these, I won’t be buying any other sock for him…finally found the one that is “just right”.

Used for workout/running/hiking/casual. I use these socks for daily running miles and gym work. Once they are a half worn worn eg from not being foot specific you lose that wedge shape of the toes and the big toe creates two high points-happens all socks.

So once these are worn in a bit with the extra material around the little toe (takes a long time!) they get used casually or hiking. For best days in super shoes, buy L / R specific socks. For everything else you get a ton of use out of these, then another ton of use when a little worn.

No holes, good sweat wicking. All round good performance and longevity. Best results without tumble-drying but okay to do so (minor fade). Never had a hole. Never fallen down or bunched in the shoe. All in all, great value.

I have been wearing Nike dri-fit socks for many years now ever since my mother-in-law bought them for me as a Christmas gift. I Love them even more now since they came out with the cushioned training dri-fit socks.

I work outside and walk for a living in all different weather conditions. I walk about 10 miles a day or more for more than 18 years and these socks take the abuse with me. No matter how many times my shoes, socks and feet have gotten wet not once have I’ve gotten blisters since wearing these cushioned training dri-fit socks.

Theses socks take the abuse and keep going. I would recommend these to anyone on their feet for any period of time. They have shaved years off abuse of my feet and ankles. Well with the money too.

I purchased these sock in bulk thinking that they were of the same quality as previous iterations, however, I was unfortunately mistaken. This updated version of the sock is thinner and not constructed as well as previous versions.

I do not have much faith that they will last the three years that my previous socks lasted. They are however, still comfortable, still stay in shape after much wear and wash, and the black colour has yet to wash out and fade, although this may still come with time.

If you haven’t owned Nike socks before, you will love these. If you are moving from a previous iteration of a nike sock, you may be unsatisfied.

I got these a while ago based on the feature description of moisture wicking and odor control and some other things. I liked that it came in a pack and thought it was reasonably priced for all the features.

It also had really good reviews. It only came in 1 size, I think it was L or XL and I am a small female. I was concern the socks may be too big but when I got them and tried them on at the store, they fit just fine so I just kept them on until I got home.

By the time I got home, I noticed the top was so tight it formed a deep compression mark into my leg. The top was too tight and I’m glad I didn’t keep them on any longer. Maybe for someone with really skinny legs but my legs are normal size.

These are the socks I purchase as gifts for all the men in my family. I’ve been told that these socks are just as comfortable whether worn with dress shoes or work boots. The cuffs fit snugly without cutting off circulation.

These socks are durable wash after wash, with no color fading.

I bought these as a gift for my very picky Nephew and who usually only buys one brand. I just knew I would have to return them, but I took a chance because he is in the Air*Force and was home for a short period of time.

My husband and sons are very pleased with these. The ankle socks aren’t too tight around their ankles and they all said they are very comfortable. Some reviewers have said they are too thin but IMO they aren’t too thin or too thick – they are just right to not make their feet sweat & then smell bad.

WOW fast!!! First let me say I’m a 100% Gold Toe fan. My first pair was a gift in 1969 when I was a ballroom dance teacher – they stayed up!!! ( and still do) I bought a dozen on a special that included monograms (would LOVE to see that again) and I STILL have two pair left and wear on special occasions.

I’ve tried others over the past 54 years but nothing stacks up. I’ve gotten almost 8 years out of some Duluth socks but with my Gold Toes every ten years I donate 10 pair and keep 2 out if the last dozen – just to see how long they’ll go.

It’s hard to tell what decade I’m wearing, these socks are that good. It’s in my will to be buried in the Monogrammed pair from 1969. Normally, I wouldn’t write “durable” in a review of something I’d just purchased— how could I know how durable it was, a week or two after buying it? This time, it’s easy to write. I have pairs of these that have lasted half a dozen years or more, and are only now beginning to wear thin at heel and toe.

There are others, yet older, that are worn out, and have been stuck in the far back corner of my sock drawer. I didn’t want to toss them until I (finally) got around to buying new, which for some reason I kept putting off until now.

The socks are comfortable, soft (although not exactly “fluffy”— they’re socks, not kittens!), and long-lasting, keeping both their shape and color. They come up to mid calf, and in a variety of colors, although I tend to buy just the brown and gray socks, making matching them easier.

Recommended.

Either Gold Toe people are color blind or illiterate. I ordered 10 packs of black Fluffies. Half the packs were labeled Black and half were labeled Brown. Well, they are all actually Blue. And none of these are really “fluffy” soft like they used to be.

They are stiff and lack the soft, stretchy feel that used to make them easy to put on. These are a struggle to put on. Unless you want to be disappointed, don’t buy these. They are not like the old Fluffies.

The PACKAGING labels call these “dress socks,” which they are. The quality is excellent! BUT, the only thing that qualifies these as “crew socks” is the length. Based on the product description, I thought I was ordering socks to wear with my athletic shoes.

That impression was reinforced by the photo, showing white socks with a gray, heel and toe — so I’ve been very disappointed!! I feel stupid for ordering the “crew socks” again, thinking that the mistake was recognized and resolved, and NOW I’d be receiving what I really need — ATHLETIC crew socks! Returns are such a pain during this pandemic, requiring customers to stand in line at the P.

O. to ship them back. Consequently, I’ll either “make do” with these, or else donate them to the Salvation Army.

The non-binding feature is great for anyone at any age! It makes it easier to pull on and off with all the stretch in the leg portion and you do not need to worry about cutting off the circulation. I have been purchasing these for over 10+ years for my husband, who had a severe stroke and only has the use of one hand and needs non-binding for circulation of one effected leg.

These wonderful socks definety add to making him more independent and selfsufficient, which results in a win-win situation for both of us. As I stated above, the non-binding feature is great for anyone at any age!.

These socks are very cool. I like the originality of the diamonds and I don’t ever want to see anyone jock my style! Just kidding. you can jock my style. I’m sure I personally will never see you wearing these.

I think they look cooler than any other socks and they are good quality! I just bought 12 more pairs; I threw out the old ones that still had lots of life left. but I’m kinda OCD! I like the evolution of the design.

they made the diamonds larger (taller) so they look better when they are over your calves. more proportionate. I got both colors. the white ones are especially sick!.

Love the design! Love the socks. However, despite going up a size to M/L, these are just a little too tight. For reference, 5’6″, 140-150lbs, with thin calfs/ankles. I’m ALWAYS cold and cannot survive East Coast winters without socks up to my knees.

My first pair of Volcoms have served me well, but I do wish these allowed a little more room. I end up with pretty deep marks right behind/below my knees from these, even just from walking around campus or the kitchen.

I would love to give that 5th star, but I do end up hurting by the end of the day. Otherwise, great socks! I also recommend Burton’s snowboard/weekend socks, though they tend to slide down by the end of the day (but oh, so warm).

Wanted to give these sock a run for their money. Great quality, very thick and no holes will be showing up for a long time. Very snug to your feet. I use to skate in for the extra padding and filling in my shoe.

Decent summer socks. Pros: Very light weight, cool, almost silky feel. They stay up well. Feet stay pretty dry. Socks don’t ‘stink’ after a long days work. Arch support is there, but not intrusive. Top of the sock is more of a wide band than a thin cord of stitching, doesn’t leave a mark.

Cons: Stitching across toes is a little bothersome to the little toe. Top is snug even after a few weeks of use which makes it a little tight on my calf muscles. Neutral: Not tall enough for cowboy boots, but works for tactical wear.

The material has a shiny appearance noticed by others when I was wearing low quarters.

Socks are great, if you’re looking for a thinner type sock. Perfect, the competitor’s socks are too hot and thick for Cali weather.

I would recommend your web site for the socks. We have ordered them for 3 years now. But I have to admit the quality is not as good as when we first purchased them.

Durability is horrible. I was excited after reading all the good reviews. I thought Dickies would be a brand that would last a decent amount of time. Socks coming off in my shoes already. I have a desk job, so I am not hard on socks at all.

what material are these made of? I bought them as a substitute for wool socks which I prefer but are getting harder to find amid the myriad “wicking” socks. Unfortunately, Dickie does not proved the adequate information on the material this is made from.

Good sock for the price. I ordered the wicking synthetic material for the first time; customarily, I use wool socks because I can wear them for two days before laundering. These seem as good.

The package said the socks would fit sizes 6-12. I wear a 10 and my heel did not fit into the sock heel. Nice olive green like I wanted. It also said you could not tumble dry the socks. I want to be able to put my socks in my dryer.

Looking for some everyday socks to wear around the house. Were nice and soft when I got them. After 1st washing, not as soft. Plus socks are narrow in the feet. Not that comfortable. Will not be buying these again.

Better than expected. These socks are thick and quite good quality. My brother was happy with them.

The black Dan Post over the calf socks are very well made, but it puzzles me as to why Dan Post sells size 18 boots but only size 13 socks (10. 5-13)! They produced much larger sizes a fews years ago.

Why not now? The socks lasts for a reasonably lengthy period, and are reasonably priced, but they only fit men with the small thighs. For quality, I give them five stars, but for size limitation, I can only give one star.

I have been wearing Dan Post CC boot socks for many years. Previously wore the white and black before the black disappeared for a while, so was stuck with just white. Just purchased the new Black CC boot socks (8 pair) , was delighted to have black again.

WRONG!!!! the black will not stay up like they used to and the white ones still do, in fact, the black will not stay up at all. Very, very disappointed.

I have several pair of the tall white regular DAN POST boot socks. Love them and this is what led me to investigate other options from DAN POST. Ordered 6 pairs of the over the calf lite socks, black in color and true to form, they fit and wear as I expected.

Very Comfortable. I went ahead and ordered 6 additional pair and purged my sock drawer of all others. Highly recommend these socks for dress shoes or boots.

Great socks! Both my boys have big feet size 16 and 17. It’s hard to find socks that fit and are comfortable. I only buy socks from DXL because they sell great quality clothing and socks for good prices and sometimes you get coupons that help when your shopping on a budget.

These socks are not very expensive, that’s their plus. They’re supposed to fit my 11. 5 size, but are tough to put on the first time, then they stretch a little. They shrink again even if you air-dry them and become practically useless after the first wash.

They also seem to be wearing down and getting thin spots very quickly.

Purchased these on line and was disappointed in how Ralph Lauren has changed this standard sock over time. Have owned this style for years and they lasted because of thickness. This version may contain same percentage of cotton but is much thinner.

Have always like the Lauren look but the feel of their cotton items stood out. Sorry to see the company’s quality erode. This was likely my last purchase of this brand.

So I haven’t been the best about reviewing, I spend enough money on clothes and gear from REI and plenty of other outdoors and hunting stores that I really should start reviewing more gear. I first found Smartwool over 10 years ago when I got myself a baselayer midweight quarter zip, shirt.

I love it, and to this day it’s one of my favorite articles of clothing, miraculously holding shape and integrity after all these years. That said, I’ve always liked their products, and obviously R&D pulls their weight for the entire merino industry.

I just put these socks on half an hour ago, and I can already tell I’m going to love them. I’m about to go buy another couple pair during my errands this morning. I can’t imagine these will give out too quickly, so long as they’re taken care of.

Merino doesn’t need to be washed after every use, I frequently wear my merino socks for a few days total. After I have worn them (except for some brands that need a little dryer shrinkage love) I drape them over the side of my hamper to air-out, and will reuse them after a day with a different pair.

These socks (along with some more cheaply made ultralight merino socks) will be in my daily work, and workout routines going forward. Keep up the great work Smartwool! If I have any problems with these, I’ll quickly change my star rating, and update the text with the issues.

This will be your new go-to running sock. They are very comfortable, hugged my ankle perfectly and stayed in place throughout the various activities I used them for. I have worn these to the gym, while taking my dog for a walk, running errands and at work where I am on my feet all day.

I am looking forward to the miles I will get out of these training for my half marathon this summer! The targeted cushioning prevented the dreaded foot fatigue I can sometimes get if I am not wearing appropriate socks for extended activity – and they do all of this without smelling (you have to appreciate the antimicrobial properties!).

I am a Smartwool fan and have many pairs of their socks. But these socks are not up to their usual high standard. The first problem is sizing. I am a Euro 45, which falls between L and XL on the sizing chart.

I purchased two pairs of the XL. It was a mistake. They are so large the heel ends up in the middle of the ankle. The second problem, these socks do not grip your feet. As a result they slide down below the heel to your instep when in use.

I forlornly hoped, they might shrink in the wash, but no luck, they are still too large all round. Clearly, a large size might have been better, but their very thin construction, they are advertised as thin, indicates a lack of foot grip might still be there.

Disappointing. Luckily, I purchased a pair of Balega Hidden Comfort Socks, in Large, at the same time that turned out to be perfect. I should have bought two of those!.

I got these socks about a week ago and I like them a lot. The material is very soft and nice. They are also nice length. Only minus in these is that they leave this black fluff on my feet when I take them off.

That is a bit annoying to be honest. But otherwise very nice socks and they feel great!.

Socks were bought as a gift. They came presented very nicely in a box which made the presentation of the item very nice upon arrival. I recipient is a shoe size 9, so I bought the larger size. They fit very well, perfect for a size 9.

The design of the socks was lovely and as intended. Only thought I had was that the socks did not come as far up the leg as I expected, but the recipient was happy with the gift.

Awesome socks – they wash up well and hold up for a long time. Only socks my son likes.

Recently, just ordered my first pair for myself. I have ordered several pairs for my partner, and we have both been impressed with the quality, and he with the fit and comfort. Some of his pairs are a couple of years old, and he wears them constantly, and the are indistinguishable from his newer pairs as they aren’t yet showing signs of aging.

However, as others have stated the sizing is off for the women’s socks, they run larger. According to the size chart, I should be a medium. However, after reading some reviews, I sized down to a small, and very happy that I did, as they fit perfectly, even after being washed and dried.

They didn’t shrink at all. They feel good, however they do not feel as soft as his Bombas. My pair feels as though they were made with less cotton. I am still fairly pleased with them, and will purchase more in the future.

I wear a shoe size 8.

Terrific sock that is worth the price. Ladies, I flip back and forth between the ladies & guys selections as I’m a W 10. I find this particular sock to provide extra comfort and support for winter boots in the vein of Timberland and Doc Martin.

I’ve had a few ankle and foot surgeries with my most recent two years ago. This was extensive reconstruction and my surgeon told me to never skimp on “luxury” socks, stockings, footwear. (believe me, I’ve never been able too w/my issues.

) I’ve been wearing Bombas no shows religiously year around and added a few of these last winter. For me, I feel absolute support I have not felt in a sock. No medical claim or anything like that, but for an aging athlete with some chronic ankle weakness and arthritis, Bombas feel extra nice on my feet!.

I bought one pair of these socks and thought they were great. I ordered three more–same style, same size, same color. The three pairs that arrived were not even close to the same quality, feel, fit or appearance as the first pair.

The fabric blend, i. e. , percentage of cotton and of other materials, on the Nordstrom website description did not match what was on the packaging of the socks. I returned the three right away and exchanged several emails with Bombas customer service.

It appears to me that Bombas is capable of making good socks (or maybe I have the only good pair) but quality control is seriously lacking. I will not buy any more Bombas socks.

I was surprised when these turned up. I wasn’t expecting them to be this kind of fabric. However, I wore a pair each day for a couple of days and they were comfy enough. But ever since then my feet have been burning.

After the weekend my feet felt ok and I thought I would wear another pair to work. As soon as I put them on my feet started burning again and haven’t stopped! It’s such a shame because the colours and fit are great.

I got the size 0 after measuring my LOs feet. I think she was 9cm? or 7cm?? She is usually in size 12-18month clothing and wasn’t sure what size to get. When I got them i felt like I had ordered the size smaller that she actually needed.

But I had opened them so I kept them and she is currently wearing them each day. They are just the right size so could grow out of them any day now, but until then, they are great and they don’t slip off as easily as other socks we have had.

Love the colour of these socks. Always buy my little ones ankle socks from hm as I find they are best compared to other shops. Good quality and washes well. Slightly to big for my little one but that means they last a little longer.
