A 4 lb box makes 16 lbs of fresh food! The Honest Kitchen makes complete and balanced, dehydrated pet foods from human-grade ingredients.
I try to keep my dogs’ diet interesting, tasty, affordable, and easy to serve. After a long delay (it is pricey), I bought a box of the Chicken & Duck Recipe and started my Beagle and my Dachshund/Yorkie on it this morning.
Supposedly, a box provides 1/4 bunch of kale, 7 carrots, 1/3 small pumpkin, 4 3/4 # of free range chicken, 4 2/3 cups of bone broth, and 1/2 pound of cage free duck. I followed the directions and, after the glop sat 3 minutes to hydrate, fed it to the dogs.
It filled their bowls 3X as much as usual (next time I’ll make half the recommended amount) and they both went after it like starved coyotes. Sadie even licked the mat beneath her bowl. The one downside is that the supposedly-resealable bag needed to be cut open and I needed my wife’s help to pour the unused part (it’s a gritty powder) into two gallon ziploc bags.
I’m guessing it will last two weeks and that puts the price at $3. 00 per meal (about fifty cents more than I usually spend). If I wasn’t such a tightwad, I’d have given it five stars. The fact of the matter is: the two one-gallon bags are easier to stash away than the big bag provided by Gourmet Grains.
This will be a regular addition to the convenient “tubs” of food that I usually give my dogs in the morning. The girls seemed to love it and it’s easy to store/serve after the first use.
This seems to be working so far. My sensitive dog was spiraling because the food that she had been on for months suddenly seemed to change quality during the Supply Chain issues. It set her allergies off and she also didn’t like the taate of it anymore.
I tried like 4 other foods and could not find a good match. While googling for recipes for homemade dog food, I stumbled across this Honest Kitchen base and figured it was worth a shot. It basically looks like a kale/spinach smoothie when rehydrated, and then I add the protein of my choice.
My dog licks the bowl clean, and it has stabilized her allergies for now which is great. It’s easy to prep, and the box lasted me a decent amount of time for the cost (40 pound dog). It has been pricey because of the cost of adding protein, but I’m glad to just have an option right now that she will eat and that doesn’t give her a reaction.
It will give me a good starting point if I want to try to introduce other proteins/foods to see what she can or cannot tolerate if I want to eventually go back to bagged dry foods. I haven’t run this by my vet yet, so I’m not sure what she would think about this as a long term option, but for now, it’s exactly what I need.

The yellowtail collars were delicious. I just baked it at 390-400 for 10 minutes with some salt and it was delicious. We had a Japanese food themed birthday party for my mom and served poke bowl along with the yellowtail collars from Oceanside Seafood along with some other things and this was a big hit especially by my elderly parents.
I ordered for them a few days later at their request and they are enjoying it along with other things they decided to try.

Reviews From Real Customers
I’ve had animals my whole life and they were an absolute joy to take care of. Especially my last two cats, a Maine C*** and a tortie, who I love more than anything. When I lost the last on in February 2019, I rescued another tortie in April of that year and she has been a nightmare to feed.
After trying every “good” food from my local pet store (grain free, every flavor, I even tried a homemade raw diet) I bought some fancy feast after talking to her foster. She finally ate this particular flavor and it is ALL she will eat, besides her chicken greenies, of course.
Things were finally “normal” until the pandemic caused supply chain issues and this went out of stock for a while. When it came back, it wasn’t quite the same. So now, my brat won’t eat it half of the time.
There is nothing wrong with it, it’s just not “up to par”. The last picture shows the cases she won’t eat and I’m donating to my local shelter. I have to do this every couple of months. I’m delight to help the shelters, but very annoyed at my cat.
I don’t know what to say about this food because it’s always out of stock now- all flavors and the price keeps going up and the quality is not what I consider to be good. I am used to feeding my animals high quality food with great ingredients and I feel like a failure feeding my cat by- products and artificial ingredients and flavors.
But, I guess you have to give them what they will eat. If you have a choice- stay away! Not only are the ingredients sub- par, but as I said, it’s usually out of stock now, so it’s extremely frustrating trying to feed your pet and you don’t know what kind of quality it’s going to be.
Unable to find the regular beef pate for Mr. Picky Pants, I opted to try the Senior version because, as I explained to the aforementioned kitty despite his protestations otherwise, he is 9 yrs old and therefore qualifies.
After months of canned food trials and tears, FF is the only wet food brand he will consume. However, he turned his nose up at this pate. I donated a couple of cans to a neighbor kitty who, I was told, inhaled it like he had been starving for at least a half a day.
So I know it’s Mr. Picky Pants. I did notice the Senior pate is lighter in color and not as juicy as the regular pate. This could be why Mr. Picky did not take to it. As he politely put it, it was like seeing the cream but not being able to touch the cream.
If your cat is not like Mr. Picky, they might enjoy this version of FF. I would suggest trying a can first instead of buying the case and finding out the hard way.
All the kitties we’ve had love fancy feast wet food. During the pandemic (and following it) there were shortages on the primavera line. So we had to look for other flavors of the fancy feast brand. We discovered the gravy lovers line and decided to try it.
Since our kitties liked other flavors with “sauce” the gravy lovers line seemed a good choice. Both our kitties scarf the food down to the point where their bowls are shiny clean. So glad to see they love this food so much.
We plan to add Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Turkey In A Roasted Turkey Flavor Gravy Wet Cat Food as a regular flavor to their food regimen. If you have a finicky kitty I suggest trying this cat food. My two extra picky cats absolutely love it!.
Member’s Mark frozen seafood is some of the highest quality available. With our once frozen process, the fish is never thawed, so it can retain its highest quality for your best eating experience. – Cooking Instructions:PREP — Allow salmon portions to thaw thoroughly in refrigerator for 8-10 hours.

OVENPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove from packaging and place thawed salmon on aluminum foil on an oven safe baking dish, season to taste. – Bake for 18-22 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Have been ordering this particular frozen salmon filets for at least three years and after researching, it is the second best deal, other than fresh salmon. However, fresh salmon costs considerable more money.
I selected this particular salmon, because Perricone advocates that Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon is better than farmed salmon. A small filet of wild salmon is more nutrient dense than farmed, has 131 fewer calories and half the fat content as the same amount of farmed.
Many studies have suggested that increasing the consumption of fatty fish such as salmon, decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Dietary intake of salmon also supports healthful cholesterol levels.
Salmon can be a possible alternative to protein sources such as chicken and beef. It provides ample protein, but far less saturated fat content, making salmon an ideal source for maintaining weight loss or a normal – range BMI.
Although farmed salmon might have slightly more Omega – 3 fatty acids, it also has 20. 5% more saturated fat content – and that’s fat you do not want!! One possible reason for this additional fat is farmed fish aren’t fighting against upstream currents like wild salmon.
In addition, food testing reveals farmed salmon is one of the most toxic foods in the world – having more in common with junk foods than health foods. However, broiling, grilling or baking fish are healthy cooking methods that lower the amount of fat and PCBs that you consume.
Bottom line, I believe examine the Pros and Cons and eat everything in moderation.
Most economical way to add an Alaskan wild caught fish, that is not farmed, and that is also very high in Omega 3 oil fatty acids, and low in Mercury and Lead, to a healthy diet. Eating a quality fish at least twice a week is necessary for a healthy diet and this Member’s Mark Wild Caught Alaskan Sockeye meets the bill and allows me to save money, PLUS it is very delicious.
I incorporate the filets into many recipes or just grill it straight out of the package, after defrosting. The package is 3 lbs, and the fillets are meal sized. I love that there are no other additives or seasonings, and I can add my own.
It is flash frozen very soon after processing. If I go to the fish store to get fresh salmon from Alaska, if it can be had, it costs $24/lb. Scottish salmon, which is farmed, is about $20 to $24 a lb also, so this is a much affordable buy for my family.
We buy fresh salmon on a weekly basis. I decided to give this a try for kids school lunches. I’ve never been fond of frozen salmon but the taste and texture in this one wowed me. The meat is so rich and flavorful! I loved it and it has become a stable on my shopping list.
My kiddos love it t oo. We didn’t find it too dry. The reason I think everyone is saying it’s dry is because this is sockeye salmon. Look up the different types of salmon usually sockeye is a little thinner in meat and not as moist/fatty as other salmons commonly sold.
Herring fillets with MSC seal. The MSC guarantees sustainable fisheries and complete traceability of the supply chain. The herring fillets are naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids and are sealed in a vacuum in a can and are thus long-lasting.

So I bought my first Weber Genesis Grill this past Christmas to replace a 25-year old grill of a different manufacturer that I’d had since new. It was reliable as a rock, had 3 rebuilds over the years but the poor thing was ready to fall apart.
The Genesis grill was a terrific upgrade and gave me an idea of the quality of the Weber brand. We got a new travel trailer in January 2022 and we needed a reliable grill to take on our camping excursions.
Naturally, I started looking at a suitable Weber grill to fill that need. After much looking at all of the various “portable” models I decided on the Q1200 since we didn’t really need anything bigger since it’s just the wife and myself.
The Q1200 is a great little grill for our camping excursions. It’s neat and compact and it’s almost like they designed it to fit in the storage compartment of our Arctic Fox 25W camper. I did buy an aftermarket 8-foot braided stainless steel adapter hose to be able to use a 20# propane tank versus the 1# disposable canisters because of the ridiculous cost of the 1# canisters that are about 4X the cost of bulk propane.
The adapter hose still allows the use of the 1# canisters if that is what you have available without any modifications to the grill. Ultimately, I might modify the grill to hook up directly to the camper’s propane system, but that’s down the road.
The grill itself works great for 2-3 people though it loses heat very fast when the lid is opened to flip the burgers, hotdogs, chicken or steaks. You definitely have to cook with the lid closed. From my experience, you’ll get maybe 2-3 grill sessions out of a 1# canister so you’d better take several with you if that is your choice of fuel sources.
With the 20# tank it’s not much of a concern as you can lift the tank and readily tell if you have enough fuel for a camping trip. If it’s low, fill the 20# tank up for $10-$12 @ $3/gallon. Make sure you get spare aluminum pans to catch the drippings out of the bottom of the grill too.
They tend to blow away if it gets windy and they definitely are needed if you’re cooking steaks or chicken as the meat tends to drip A LOT!.
Excellent little grill for the most part, which reflects Weber’s consistency in excellent quality and overall design. The gas-control knob actually does regulate the flame very well to provide different cooking settings.
I have had other Weber grills (gas and charcoal) and they were all good investments for the money. My current purchase of the Q1200 portable grill has, so far, been a very good experience, but there are a couple of minor aspects of the product’s design that could use improvement.
First is my frustration in cleaning cast iron grates which constantly need attention to mitigate food residue and fat buildup. Coating the cast iron grates with a ceramic enamel coating only improves the cleaning process minimally.
Polished stainless steel grates, which for me, has been easier to clean, should be offered at least as an upgrade option. Second, the interior surface of the lower cook-box should be polished to a smoother finish in order to facilitate better drainage of food juices and debris to the little collection pan underneath.
Even with the current design being well-executed, buildup on the wall surfaces is still a problem. This clean-up issue has been experienced in my other grill (Weber ‘Spirit II’) as well, and may or may not be something Weber can reengineer economically.
But,. at he end of the day,. I’m still happy in my purchase. Weber continues to be the leader in grilling products. Thanks for listening.
We have used it once two days ago. We bought it bc it is electric and didn’t want our natural gas grill that is locked up to be used by renters. We made BBQ’d shrimp on well-soaked wooden skewers. They were delicious! The grill is on the covered deck of our townhome that is in the rental pool.
We only go there once/month. My beef is with the cart assembly. Hours later, my eyes glazed over trying to assemble it. Anyone assembling a cart should put the wheels on FIRST, not SIXTH and should also look at all of the instructions before going to the YouTube video re: assembly where the cart is already assembled.
The YouTube video is VERY confusing. Because the grill is being used for a rental unit, I purchased a 10′ chain and padlock to ensure that our new, cute little grill would not go home with one of our renters.
Do watch the YouTube about how to clean your grill so that you can get the heating element out, thereby facilitating all cleaning. That said, the cleaning YouTube video recommends using oven cleaner to get off baked on residue and the manual is very clear that one should not do that.
Some clarification from Weber would be helpful. There are some instructions in the manual, but the YouTube is pretty good. I expect to be cleaning it my self each time that we visit every month when we have rentals.
My sister cleaned the grill out and didn’t know how to get the heating element out. She lined the bottom of the grill with foil that can protect the unit from lots of extra cleaning. She reported that the grilling plates themselves were super easy to wash.
They are small (heavy) and very removable. It would be nice if Weber would add the side shelves that fold into the propane unit. That said, I already had a caddy for BBQ tools that serendipidously hang off the left handle of the grill.
I also had a protective BBQ mat to place beneath the grill to protect our deck.

My Sunshine boy was a vet bill on all four. Scabs and sores and expensive treatment. After paying the vet I put him on this brand, poultry only no red meat. We decided that he was allergic to something in the environment, not fleas, ‘maybe use benadryl.
‘ Every morning he gets 5mgZyrtec (1/2 pill) dissolved in water with 1/2 can food, topped with 1/2 tsp sunflower oil. The remainder of the can, plain for dinner. Born in 2008 and he was never this beautiful and healthy.
This food and the knowledge that only zyrtec works for skin allergies and he is healthy, the little bit of bland oil has cured the dry tail base dandruff. Old cat, happy cat, less shedding,.
I wouldn’t consider my cat to be very picky – if she doesn’t like a specific food she won’t touch it for a few hours but later she’ll come to terms with it and eat it. She gets excited about dinner time, no matter what food she gets.
This has been the only food that she likes enough to eat all in one sitting though! I’ve tried other brands that come in bigger cans but still, I serve the same portions for her, and most of the time she’d leave a few traces of food that would be all dried up in the morning, but with this food, she licks the plate CLEAN and eats it all in one sitting, instead of in little spurs throughout the night (which is better for me! Because I can clean the plate as soon as she’s done.
) She likes almost every wet food flavor and brand I’ve given her but this is BY FAR her favorite! We’ve tried all the flavors for this one but the Wild Caught Salmon is the one she likes the most :).
My little girl hasn’t been very picky with me but she knows when it’s time for her wet food. Yes, I feed my cat 3 times a day. I give her 1/4 cup dry food, then wet food for lunch and then another 1/4 cup.
She gets the tiny cans of the wet food and she likes every flavor but I think her favorite is the turkey. I recommend just buying at least 2 of each flavor you can find, then change flavors every day.
She absolutely loves it cause I’m sure it’s not boring with the same flavors all the time. Would be “Kindfull” of you to make bulk options including variety packs and such.
Grills most fresh foods in 3 to 8 minutes. Grills most frozen foods in 8 to 12 minutes. Food never touches the grill plates. Disposable parchment pouches allows you to toss the mess away. Parchment pouches channel the fat and grease away from your food to reservoir at the bottom of the bag.
Cooks both frozen and fresh foods to perfection. Steaks hamburgers bratwurst grill cheese sandwhiches veggies fish chicken and more. Grilling guide. 24 extra parchment pouches and recipe book included.
THIS IS JUST ABOUT AS GOOD AS IT CAN GET WITH A TABLETOP ELECTRIC GRILL. It is not a substitute for a large-surface electric (i. e GF Mean Lean etc. ) grill and certainly not for charcoal/gas grills.
And it does not do combination foods (stuffed pork chops come to mind) well because of the differences in cooking times for the individual ingredients and, in the case of the stuffed chops, the thickness of the expanded chops.
This is my second Rocket Grill and it is much improved over the “original” RG 2000. This newer version is sturdily built (outside and in) and all the buttons and dials work well and have a solid feel to them.
The cooking times are more art than science but not unworkable if you think of them as suggestions/starting points for your own estimations for your chosen food item. Of course, CLEANUP IS A SNAP (although I rue the day when a bag inside the machine leaks or breaks.
How would one ever cleanup that mess?). A semi-technical point: There is no difference between the numbered models: The number (12,24,72 e. g. ) refers to the quantity of bags included with the marketed machine.
Some marketing packages come with non-metallic tongs but these are not necessary to effectively use the grill. I have also seen a black version of this grill but it seems to be a rarity. The grill-guide wheel is a neat feature so look for it as an included item in whichever machine package you are interested.
The official advice is to warm the machine up first and not to reuse the bags. But for simple foods, like a grilled cheese sandwich, I have cooked the sandwich during the warm-up period and have reused the same bag for similarly light jobs three times.
Beyond that, I have not stretched my luck. Reuse-able teflon coated bags are available (not from the RG people) but I have no experience with them. IN SHORT, a well built, well designed, functional, convenient, tabletop electric grill that would be practical for one or two servings/persons for most types of food; more servings/persons if you primarily use it for wurst-type products or typically eat reduced portion sizes.
This is the best of one of these type gadgets I have ever purchased. On first thought, you have to use parchment bags each time it is used, but Since there is no mess at all, there is no clean up. The parchment bag holds all of the excess juices.
The time it saves on clean up is worth every penny I pay for the bags. The bags are only about 30 cents each and you can find them here on ebay. Now for the best part. Everything I have cooked in it comes out GREAT!! I have cooked burgers, chicken breasts, pork chops, hot dogs, frozen vegetables, Panini sandwiches in 3 1/2 minutes, and one of the best, frozen Tilapia in 6 minutes.
It sears the grill marks in with the hot Teflon plates that come together, which presses on the food. It is great for two people. You can cook two sandwiches at a time, even with large oval slice bread.
Easy to use. Very fast. Makes delicious food. It has become a primary kitchen utensil. I use it several times a week for healthy cooking. I can’t say enough, I’m so impressed.
I use this grill year round. I own THREE of them right now because if something happens to my grill I have to have another one I can’t be without it! It does beautiful grilled chicken with or without a miranaide, it does a fantastic steak in less than 5 minutes! Hamburgers are amazing but don’t cook them longer than 3 minutes or you’ll have dry tough hamburgers! I love it uses parchment bags that you just toss out! NO clean up and the fat drains away into the bottom of the bag.
It just doesn’t get any better than this! Pitch out those george foreman grills and get a rocket grill!.

This will be my closest encounter with fish n chips, British style. Thank goodness for biz that provide ready food for the culinary deprived. Does the Queen eat fish n chips once in a while? Does she eat in bed like the rest of us who are sole winners in our homes, with the dinner plate on our tummies while with one hand trying to shoo the kitty from partaking of our edibles? We cook heart healthy balanced meals almost every night of the year, but on occasion, we take a night off and have something easy. We were never fish stick people until we tried these in the store. We like that they are made from whole fillets and not mysterious bits and pieces that are glued together w/ fat and salt.
The packaging states that the fish are responsibly sourced, and that is important to us and the lack of artificial additives. Paired with a salad, these make a great meal. For people who cook healthy food, these are great to have on hand for the nights when you just want a break.
I loveeee this product, mainly because it’s real fish not minced. I use it for the hot summer days for dinner and I also have it for a night snack rather than sweets. I don’t have any negative reasons.
So many different ways to use this product. : salads, sandwiches, with rice, French fries, mashed potatoes etc. Very versatile.

Firstly, these so called fillets were nothing more than small, broken bits and pieces of battered fish (those pieces that were actually battered). There were NO actual fillets in the box. The taste was disgusting.
and that’s putting it mildly. We cooked the entire box at the same time, but some of the fish was very tough, old and chewy while other pieces were extremely mushy and soggy. Some of the pieces weren’t even battered.
I wish I had taken photos of this product before and after cooking. I have since contacted Sam’s Club to request a refund and will not be purchasing this product again.
We frequently purchase these cod fillets. I used to deep fry them but now I use my air fryer and get close to the same results without all the fat added. I make them with fries sometimes for dinner or we make fish sandwiches from them.
They are delicious and are not fishy at all. I make a quick homemade tartar sauce using Hellmann’s mayo, minced onion, dill relish, a squeeze of lemon juice, and season with granulated garlic, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
I can have dinner ready in 30 minutes even preparing the tartar sauce. We will continue to have these in our freezer.
Kiwi Kitchens RAW Freeze Dried Food is the ultimate in pet nutrition. It is made from whole foods sourced entirely from the farms and waters of New Zealand. These whole foods are complemented with vitamins and minerals to ensure the food is complete and balanced for all life stages.
My dog is 13, I have cooked fresh food for him most of his life, He is spoiled and picky. I bought the kiwi chicken and he ate this food like it was filet mignon. It never sits in his bowl, as soon as he see me put it in his dish, he runs to eat, no matter the time of day.
I bought it because it was on sale and I thought I would try it out, I’m so happy I did.
I have 2 very fussy eaters who don’t like eating kibble and this is the only way to ensure that they will eat it. Given that it’s so expensive, I use it as a meal topper and will only buy when it’s on sale.
I alternate between the Kiwi Kitchens brand and Absolute Holistics, depending on which is on special.

I have a picky senior dog. He is very picky with how and what he eats, and I mean the won’t-eat-out-of-a-bowl-or-any-other-surface-unless-it’s-a-paper-towel, kind of picky. He hates wet food, always has.
Well when I was feeding his brother a mixture of this with some dry food, I noticed mr picky ol’ senior had eaten some of his bits off the ground. So the next day I decided to mix his dry food with this wet food as well.
As soon as I put it down he INHALED his food. I couldn’t believe it. Where has this been all his life. Needless to say, this will definitely be a staple item for the doggies.
I bought this as a topper to add to my dogs kibble and he loved it. I would only add about a spoonfull and mix it in and he licked his bowl clean. HOWEVER, i noticed he was scratching more than usual and shaking his head constantly as though he had an ear infection.
Something in my gut told me to stop feeding the food and he stopped itching. He eats chicken dry food so I know he doesn’t have an allergy to poultry but I was skeptical of the brand from the start because they dont disclose the manufacturer or veterinarians who back it.
Its cheap and my dog enjoys it but I wouldnt chance feeding it to him again.
My fur baby absolutely loves this particular brand of dog food. She’s a very picky eater with a very sensitive stomach. I turned to this brand after I had such a hard time finding an expensive brand she was use to eating.
The Kindfull brand works for her and I’m thankful. Her stools are very firm, not soft or slimy. She gets so excited when it’s time for her to eat. Once I pop the can open, she comes running to get her meal with the quickness (haha).
In conclusion, white fish is an excellent choice for grilling. It is a lean protein that is low in calories and fat, and it is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. White fish is also a versatile ingredient that can be seasoned and cooked in a variety of ways.
