20 Best White Button Down Shirt For Women (2023 Updated)

I paid no attention to the type of fabric. I was expecting the usual shirt material but I can see why one reviewer said it felt like a Dr’s shirt and at first I didn’t like it. But I kept it because its cool when on and I live in the desert so I think it will come in useful.

Also a very crisp white and even though its long, it looks nice tucked into jeans with the buttons undone over a tank. Small was spot on. Very stretchy.

I love this shirt! It has a classic look, so it can be dressy, but also goes great with jeans. The long shirttail makes it a go to for sweaters or by itself with leggings. The stretch fabric makes it super comfortable.

It washes like a dream and you just hang to dry. Great shirt!!.

Great fabric and excellent workmanship. BUT. there were small darts in the back, but the shirt was VERY boxy. Because I liked the navy houndstooth check fabric, I ended up taking the darts in just to get it to not look so wide.

I have purchased many Land’s End supima cotton dress shirts and the only issue I have ever had with any of them was that the sleeves were frequently too long. The body fit was fine. But not this one.

I could not order a size smaller because the shoulders fit perfect across the back. I couldn’t take a size smaller.

Best button down shirt I’ve found in years. I’m 5’5”, 125 lbs, 32DDD, got size 2. Shirt is perfect length and perfect shoulder width, hits right around hips, and most important NO GAPS! Button downs have been my nemesis, and I quit even trying years ago.

But read great reviews and decided to try. Already my favorite shirts – got the black and the white. Now just wishing/begging for them to make more colors (grey and dark red would be great starts)!.

Just a big hit with me. You know like it was made for me. Fit fabric color. I even wear with one of your jackets. I’d like the shirt in More colors please. Please. Please. Shy blue golden tan red navy.

This is a great shirt. Crisp and clean, and after washing once, I can say it really is iron-free. Though note, I take my shirts out of the dryer and hang them in the bathroom for a couple of days to “steam” them.

The stripes on the shirt look clean and professional. The colors go with a variety of pants and jackets. The shirt is semi-fitted (at least on me). I am between M and L, and opted for the M due to availability.

The fabric “gives” so I am not worried about ripping it if I move my arms (I have broad shoulders). So if you have a small chest, you are probably okay with going down a size, otherwise you may end up with gaps between the buttons at your chest (especially when move your arms) and hence would recommend going up if between two sizes.

For me, I will either exchange it or wear it underneath a sweater or buttoned jacket. I am tall, so I struggle with shirts being too short. For reference, I am 5′ 10″ with most of the height in my torso (33″ pant inseam).

This shirt barely makes it to my belly button, so I will need to wear it with high wasted pants. I am not sure how much length going to an L will give me, as the product inf online focuses on bust/hip/waste measurements (why do they always assume that we are all the same height??).

I do recommend this shirt, just make sure you have the right size!.

This is a great quality blouse that looks beautiful when wearing it. It has a sporty feel to it, because of the denim look. But, it feels so much better than denim. It’s not thick and unmovable, it’s very soft and silky.

The look is denim but the feel is luxury. I love the detail of the tab on the sleeves, so you can wear it with the sleeves rolled up for a 3/4 length sleeve. Or leave them down if you prefer a full length sleeve.

It runs slightly large, but I still think it’s okay to go with your regular size. That way there is no gaping at the buttons. It washes great, no shrinking and I had no problem with dye running. I used cold water to wash it.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, casual blouse, I highly recommend this one.

When my family and I where going apple and pumpkin picking we always love to dress for the fall but never know if it’s going to be hot or cold out! We normally where flannel shirts, but last year it was so hot I felt like I was going to melt ! This shirt was perfect it was light enough to wear on hot days and I brought a light jacket with me just in case it was hot.

Even if I had to put them jacket on I knew it would not of been bulky as it it was a thin soft shirt but The look of a flannel as we where going for ! This shirt worked out Perfect!.

I love this shirt. Material is so soft and very lightweight, perfect to wear on warm days or colder days. Love the style, perfect to wear with legging, jeans, or even shorts. Love the sleeves as you can make them shorter or longer.

It is a truly seize shirt, I usually wear size L and it fits perfectly, not too tight just perfect for everyday use. I am in a love with this shirt, as it is so comfortable to wear and also looks beautiful.

Very roomy. Fabric is light and airy. Nice stretch to it. Buttons to button down collar are on there underside of collar, which I liked. Washed nicely and dries quickly.

I already left one but dickies wants me to leave another so, i definitely would stock up on these. So comfortable for work and leisure. I can wear this anytime. I love it and obviously need to buy more haha.

This shirt is UH MAZE ING. I love the oversized look and feel, BUUTTT I do not love how the linen creases and wrinkles SO easily. A lot of “oversized” shirts that I have purchased are *cough* wrong and you have to size up your oversized shirt.

HOWEVER, this shirt you definitely do not have to that with. I would actually size down to get that perfect “oversized shirt but fits” look.

I usually have a hard time buying button down shirts because I have broad shoulders and DD’s but this one fit perfectly! A large was still oversized on me (I’m wearing a 12 / 14 right now) so definitely go down at least one size.

I wear it with trousers to work but it would be a cute beach cover up too! It’s also lightweight cotton and warm climate friendly!.

This is a beautiful blouse, well finished with respect to the buttonholes, hem, and sleeve tabs, in a matte georgette fabric. Being georgette, it will be a bit delicate to handle, but the fabric gives the blouse a dressy look and is opaque so you don’t have to worry about your bra showing through.

I love everything about this shirt. It is no iron. The color is beautiful, cheerful and summery. It is comfortable to wear because of the stretch. I love the no iron fabric. It washes like a dream. It also always looks ironed and sharp.

I have one criticism of all Chicos button down no iron shirts… they need to be about an inch bigger at the bust. The sizing at the bust forces women like myself with generous bust lines to go up a size.

Sometimes all the extra fabric in the larger size is not flattering.

The No-Iron Stretch Shirt in pale clover arrived last week. I immediately washed it and was ready for a casual, belated St Patrick’s Day meal at home! The shirt washed very well and truthfully needed no ironing whatsoever! It does, however feel a bit stiff, so therefore not as comfortable as I would have liked.

Presumably that is due to the “no -iron” feature, and quite likely a trade-off for extreme comfort. I am hoping that a few more washes will soften it up somewhat. But it is an attractive shirt and the vibrant green will be a bright addition to my spring wardrobe.

I’m in love! This shirt is sooo comfy. Well-made, it is a perfect weight: not too light, not too heavy. Amazingly soft, it layers well or serves as a stand-alone top. It is an oversized style. So if you like a slightly more fitted look, you might want to order a size down.

Why Loft’s shirt? Because of the material and cut. The material is soft, but not see through. It is very well made and goes perfectly with any pant or skirt. I am so happy I found it. It’s a perfect piece that doesn’t go out of style.

The material is soft and it’s a great fit, but the white is see through (even with a nude bra) and it arrived incredibly wrinkled, so it was hard to really determine if I wanted to keep it. Ultimately decided to return it and get a different color.

The blouse is beautiful although a little transparent. Need to wear a natural toned bra with it. The packaging on the other hand was terrible. The silk blouse arrived all crumpled in a plastic bag. Looking like something I bought for cheap rather than £160 I spent on it.

Not a single bit of protective tissue around the blouse. Everlane I know you can do better.

I first saw this shirt on social media. It was praised by almost every big fashion influencer out there so I decided to see for myself and ordered it. And I have to say that this has become my favorite clothing item from my whole closet.

It feels so incredibly soft and looks so elegant and chic. It goes with almost everything from jeans to skirts, business to casual. like literally paired with anything it looks good! The price is really fair but I have to say that shipping took forever.

And I also feel like they should mention that 00 fits perfect for an European size 34 (XS). I weigh 53kg and am 1,61m tall and it is still “oversized” (but the way it’s supposed to be. it fits me perfectly).

Very nice shirt, the cut is neither too slim nor too relaxed, the sleeve length and body length are both good. Quality seems good. The only issue is that the white is absolutely clear, no chance at all getting away without a camisole underneath, even with a nude bra.

A bit disappointing as earlier iterations of everlane silk was thicker or less transparent.
