20 Best Waterproof Sandals For Men (2023 Updated)

I have been wearing an older version of these for years and have been looking for new ones. Of course they have been discontinued and even these are now really hard to find. Decided to go ahead and try them even though I prefer to have a heel strap and the old shoes had a leather and cork footbed.

These have no strap and are all plastic. Well, I am happy enough. They look good, are really comfortable, and hey easier to get on and off. Perhaps not for rock climbing but I don’t do that much anymore anyway.

Get them while you can because I am pretty sure they are discontinued too. I had to go a 1/2 size too big because I couldn’t find a 9. They are a little too long but I can live with it to have comfortable sandals.

Wish these companies would stay with a good product and quit cheaping out with so much plastic but other than custom made I am not hopeful for that to happen any time soon. Cabelas was FANTASTIC – package got here before the shipped email notice.

These just arrived. Am surprised this is first review. could be related to description error on website. The uppers are indeed “waterproof leather” not “waterproof rubber”. Big difference! Also have Keen Newport H2s for comparison.

First pre-hike impression is that they are roomier in forefoot and toe box, leather is noticeably more pliable and softer and footbed feel is similar. Both models are very comfortable sandals. Plan is to use Newport H2s when knowingly going in and out of water.

Targhee IIIs are touted as more stable on the trail, so these will be tested soon on trail where water may be at best a sideshow. I think I can edit and add to this preliminary review. If not, will start a new one!.

Have several friends who swear by these; so, decided to give them a try. Only a few weeks in, but I have no real complaints. Only reason for four stars is the lack of time with them. I do not anticipate being unhappy at all.

So far they are comfortable and supportive. Not sure how much I like the lacing system, but I’ll get used to it (just like getting a new car and having to learn where the buttons are; once you learn you forget there was ever an issue).

One note about size. I wear 9. 5 or 10; so, trying on shoes is important. My REI didn’t have the Targhee IIIs in stock. I tried on other Keens for fit. When the Targhee IIIs came in the mail, they were true to size with other Keens I tried.

I have to wear sandals because of two overlapping toes on one foot, and lesser problems on the others. These Teva’s allow me to cope with this problem easily, and I wear them everyday, in all weather, and they work really well, as they would if you had no problems with your feet! I even do hikes of 3 to 5 mi.

on fairly flat ground and have no problems at all. Don’t try open sandals with no side support in rough terrain, and trying to go uphill in sandals will allow your feet to slip out backward–I put on sandals that can be strapped on, and still have room for my toes.

This is my second pair–I knew exactly what to look for when the first pair wore out!!.

I use the Katavi II as a casual dress sandal with either long slacks or mostly shorts. As the uppers get the aged look, they go to my active everyday use and after that to working in the yard. Right now I’m using a miss matched pair in the yard until they fall apart.

I wear them year around. The soles last longer than the uppers. So if improvement needs to be made, it’s on the uppers. Occasionally I get a sole separation so I just glue it back together for the last stage of use.

Great sandals though. Will keep buying. Maybe they can add a couple more colors on the uppers.

As the title says, these slides are super comfortable and fit very true to size. My only complaint is that I think they’re downright ugly. My size 12 feet look like I’m wearing a couple of baskets when I have them on.

But I WILL wear them nonetheless because they are that comfy…just not outside the yard. Great price as well.

I’m super happy with this purchase. These sandals are heavier than flip flops. They appear to be very durable. I wear them around the house & yard, but these would be great for camping & traveling. They’re very comfortable.

I normally wear a size 12 but I read a review that said they run small. I ordered a size 13 and I was still unable to get the slipper on – I returned them.

The size is as stated. I take a 9-9. 5. I bought the 9 and they fit but 9. 5 may have been better. I’m sure a 10 would be to big. The first time or two I wore them a long time I felt some discomfort upon taking them off under my fifth metatarsal phalange all area, but that no longer happens, just had to stretch them a bit.

I got them wet at the beach several times and had no problems. They did not slide on my feet when wet. I have only had them a few weeks but I am pleased with these sandals.

First I want to thank everyone else that did a review and recommended 1/2 larger. I purchased a 9. 5 instead of a 9 and they fit great. I do not have a wide foot just normal and it worked out perfect.

The shoe looks really small when you take them out of the box but they fit really good. If you have a wide foot- you will need to get a full size larger or if you have really long toes. I walked around the house and was pretty happy with the shoe.

I purchased them to take on vacation in May to Seattle and July to New York. Both locations require a lot of walking and I wanted a good fitting shoe with a great sole. I recommend this shoe. The picture does not do the shoe justice.

The shoes do look more like a woman’s shoe than the photo implies. Much more attractive in person. Happy with my purchased. The green and gray color were pretty nice.

This is not my first pair of Tevas. But the problem encountered by these as well as the Khombu sandals as well as some simple slip on slippers is the anchoring of the straps between upper and lower soles.

I don’t know about other wearer but I used these under various conditions. But with the separation issue I opted to keep the Teva’s for everday wear and I use the Khombu (dries out better and seems better for in water use) for more challenging activities.

They both have to figure out someway to “bolt down” and adhese the straps before sandwiching the two soles together. Hey. if you’d like reach out to me and I’ll be glad to field test. everyday use plus hiking (city and cross country) & fishing (I use tabis as primary on coral).

I wanted to love this sandal, but the width and material weren’t lovable. This style is manufactured in a narrow width too, but that narrow option appears to be sold out everywhere. In other brands, D (Medium) width fits my feet just fine, so I ordered.

But with these sandals, I had to adjust the straps to the first hole and my feet still slid around. Too wide. Note: I wear a size 10 in most brands but read these run large. The 9-9. 5 US/42EU was perfect for my usual 10.

The sandals are weightless because of the foam material out of which they’re made. Kinda nice feature, kinda crappy feature. $45 for foam sandals that feel like Crocs? I returned them.

Due to some frustrating swelling issues with my feet, it is a struggle to find cute AND comfortable slides and sandals for the summer. I wear men’s sandals instead as they tend to be wider than my normal women’s size.

These are perfect! The straps are adjustable, and the sole cushions your foot pretty well as you walk. These stay on too, no sliding around and folding under your foot as you walk! I definitely recommend these.

I love this sandal. I have been trying to find my size in stock for a while and was happy to receive them. The only issue that I have is that the buckle was creased and since it is like a rubberish material, you could see the crease in it as it was super visible.

I am debating on keeping them or sending them back to exchange for another pair. But I love them! We have have them in pink and blue.

The Big Kids Newport H2 is my “Go-to” summer sandal. I got my first pair nearly a decade ago, because I was working in a warehouse, walking miles a day, and the job required us to wear closed heel & closed toe shoes.

The Women’s styles of Keen sandals all had open toes or heels, but the Kids Newport H2 was covered both places. The first pair I bought actually lasted ALL summer (most shoes I bought broke down in cushion or support after 1-2 months!), so I’ve stayed with the Big Kids Newport H2’s ever since.

I’ve had multiple pairs over the years, in MANY colorways (I currently have the Berry/Peach ones & the Blue/Grey, too), and they’ve ALWAYS been well worth the price! The Kids Newport H2 line is so good, that it’s the brand I always recommend when the grownups of the Pre-K children I work with now (in Early Childhood Special Education) ask for “good brands” of shoes for their children.

As someone who needed “special & supportive shoes” when *I* was a child, I know what to look for in a “Good” & supportive child’s shoe. These ARE great kids shoes. They’re lightweight, offer “just enough” support, WITHOUT being too stiff, they have a nice wide toe box which doesn’t have uncomfortable “pinch points,” AND they have enough flexibility in the soles, to help kids develop strong foot/leg/ankle muscles & joints, and a good, strong, solid walking & running gait.

They’re NOT cheap shoes. but they’re also not “CHEAP” shoes! They’re reasonably priced, and offer growing little feet the type of support AND flexibility to develop into a sturdy base for a growing person.

And as an adult who also wears orthotics for plantar fasciitis (I’m a 6. 5 in women’s shoes, and wear the Big Kids size 5), I can attest to the fact that they DO work well with orthoses, too! The Newport H2 is a GREAT kids’ shoe, holds up WELL to anything a child would demand of a sandal, and offers great value for the price.

And with as fast as many kids “grow out of” shoes & sandals, these are well worth the cost, because they can be “handed down” through multiple siblings or cousins, OR resold easily, if a child grows out of them.

My toddler appears to have inherited my forefoot varus. Her feet tilt inward, and her ankles and knees follow. A pediatric physical therapist suggested that we could purchase orthotics. Instead, we discovered that KEEN brand shoes have enough support (similar to my Asics) that it corrected her foot position for walking.

I love the wide toe box, which is important to allow her feet and toes to grow properly. The rest of the shoes is perfectly snug and secure around her foot. Since we’ll probably be purchasing this brand year round to support her forefoot varus, it would be great to see other styles of shoe, that still maintain the optimum support.

I’d love a cute white “dress” pair with a feminine feel for her to wear at nice functions. A pair of supportive, dry, warm winter boots would also be wonderful. My main complaint with both her KEEN shoes and her sandals, are that they’re terribly difficult to get her feet into the opening.

I love how secure they are on her feet, as it’s important that they aren’t sloppy. However, these are so difficult to get her foot into initially, that my husband tells me that “he can’t” (eyeroll). It’s always a bit of a wrestling match with her foot and the shoe.

I want to start this review with the fact that these adorable shoes came so fast… Okay, now on to the shoes/sneakers/sandals. They are extremely comfortable! I have been wearing them with athletic wool ankle socks since it isn’t quite warm enough to wear them without socks yet in Maine.

I wear them to work and I get so many compliments. I picture wearing these very often during the summer because they are suited for any adventure that comes up, along with looking stylish. These will be my go to shoes when I go bike packing and on light hikes.

My only complaint is something that probably wouldn’t bother most people, but for me and my OCD, I have trouble looking at the inside tie dye strands on my right foot because that is the only side that doesn’t have any blue dye.

All and all these are an awesome versatile shoe!.

This is my first Muck Boot purchase. I need a shoe that will hold my feet in position as I have a collapsed arch. This sandal is an exception as sandals don’t work for me. This sandal is tough but looks really nice on.

it is waterproof and breathable and tough. It is comfortable especially the way it works when you walk. I’m just so pleased. I wear a size 10 without socks, and this was the perfect length, also I am slightly wide and thought at first the shoe would be too narrow, but it conforms to the foot.

I could wear it comfortable right out of the box.

This shoe is another great addition for muck. I have their boots, sneakers, garden shoes, and now this sandal. I love their entire line of shoes. The sandal is soft and extremely comfortable. The foot bed is curved to fit your foot for all day walking with comfort.

The shoe hugs your foot nicely so that it doesn’t slip off or feel floppy. The construction is excellent. I love the covered toe for added protection. I highly recommend this summer shoe. I wear a size 8 and it fit true to size.

The quality of construction are excellent, but these sandals have two flaws that really detract from their functionality. 1st flaw: The heel strap is not adjustable, this keeps my heel far back and slightly hanging over the edge.

An adjustable heel strap would allow the wearer to control where their feet sit in the sandal better. 2nd flaw: the shoe rubs uncomfortably into my arch, although this may be a non-issue if I could adjust the heel so that my foot fit into the sandal differently.

If you have larger feet then these may be non-issues for you, but as a 10. 5 wearing up to a size 11 due to not having half sizes, they just don’t really work for me.

IšverstiShow in original languageI just ordered my 4th pair of ‘Ohana sandals. The last three pairs lasted me about 14-15 months each. When they break it is always the toe strap that gets ripped out because my foot got stuck in mud.

To say that I use and abuse these sandals in an understatement. On average I wear them 4 hours a day about 300 days a year. I wear them for everything from hiking in a rainforest and wading through rivers, lounging on a beach to digging holes with a shovel to set posts in my pasture (my neighbors always laugh about that one).

They are a workhorse they are a little heavy, but have excellent grip, a hard sole and are extremely comfortable that magically get better with use. I have big wide feet with a high arch and these give every bit of support I could ask for.

Before I found these sandals I would burn through a pair of sandals in 3-4 months just because I am so rough on them. Since finding them I have never bought another brand.

I’m continuously looking for the best products for my needs. These have made my journey of searching end when discovered. I’m very finicky when it comes to footwear especially sandals. It took about 3-4 uses to get use to them but, well worth it.

They stand up very well in water and dirt/mud. I even wear them in the snow for quick short walks with the dogs. I wear size 12 but have a little bit shorter toes by about 3-7%. Still look good! Material is great, comfortable, stylish, and durable.

I blow out flips all the time climbing, short sprints/jogs, chasing kids and dogs. They have held up and past my expectations. I really appreciate and respect companies that create products built with all around quality and style.

IšverstiShow in original languageSeveral years ago I had my baggage lost at the SF airport and had to replace all my work and casual clothes for the week I was visiting the area. While at the local Nordstroms buying a new pair of work shoes, I saw the flip-flops and tried them on.

They felt really good and had much-improved comfort. Done deal. For anyone with plantar fasciitis or just needs a little extra lift on the insole, these are great flip-flops. I am working on losing more weight to reduce the stress on my feet.

That said, when I put these on first thing in the morning, I am happy to have less sore feet throughout the day. The only reason I bought new Ohana’s was my right foot had dug a hole into the area where the outside bone had worn down into the foam and was causing me issues.

Now with my new Ohana’s, they are a bit rigid but are still a pleasure to wear now. Enough said. Aloha!.

I bought these a half size down from what I usually wear because they were the only ones left in stock. They are a bit tight around the ankles, but generally fit pretty well. As river sandals, I’m not super wild about them.

Unlike open toe/heel sandals when mud, rocks, or sediment gets under your foot it gets trapped there. I’ve found it pretty much impossible to clear this out without taking off the sandal, which with it’s tight fitting heel is annoying.

And obviously it’s less than ideal if you’re out on the water. Where the sandal exceeds, however, is with its excellent traction and support. I hiked down a rocky beach trail with a 2 year old in a carrier on my back and had incredible grip on wet rocks and stability on uneven terrain.

I could see them being great for really wet hikes like Hawaii.

Könnte sein die 45 würde es auch. Warum diese und auch noch Sandale? Meine Erfahrungen mit Wanderstiefeln und -schuhen sind enttäuschend. Zu gering die Haltbarkeit, zu hoch die Preise, Ermüdung der Fußmuskulatur, Schwitzen im Schuh, Blasenbildung.

Meine Füsse sollen beim Wandern beweglich und trocken bleiben. Also muß Luft rann. Barfuss wär nicht schlecht. Ein Bekannter namens Martl lief mit Gepäck barfuss über die Alpen. Aber die hiesigen Wege sind keine, sondern eher Forst-Autobahnen mit Splitt, Schotter, Verwitterungskiesen.

Schmerzhaft. Also Sandalen. Habe dabei gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Auch bei kaltem und feuchten Wetter. Diese Sandale hat mir gefallen wegen der flachen Sohle ohne merklichen Absatz. Geht in Richtung barfuss.

Sie läuft sich gut. Ein Nachteil (aller Sandalen): Irgendwie schafft man es immer wieder, was zwischen Fußsohle und Schuhsohle zu schaufeln. Und ist es feucht, klebt Erde, Lehm etc. an dieser Stelle.

Nichts ist perfekt. Für kalte Füsse bei zu kaltem Wetter gibt es ggf. (wasserdichte) Socken. Hab’s noch nicht probiert, ob dann das Schwitzen am Fuss (doch) kommt. Martl nutzt keine Socken. Fazit: Empfehlenswert (auch) fürs Wandern.

They are comfortable & lightweight, I can just slip them on quickly & they are waterproof, so I can wear them inside or out.

I tested these sandals on hike in the local mountains with a 2400′ climb and 8 miles total. I was wearing them with heavy wool socks. They worked nearly as well as my hiking boots even with 2″ of fresh snow at the higher elevations.

I did have a bit of pain in my right heel on the way down and thought it was due to something about the sandals. But at the bottom I stuck a finger between my heel and the sandal and came out with a 3/8″ rock! It did not feel so big because it had pressed into the sole material.

The results of the test were good so I decided to use them as my only shoe for a 5 day hike on the West and Middle Forks of the Gila River in the Gila Wilderness. They were perfect for that. There are something like 100 river crossings so you want to just be able to wade through without slowing down.

These sandals, with neoprene socks, did the trick perfectly. They also worked fine with wool socks on the dry days on rocky trails. After 6 days of hiking, 5 with a pack, the sandals are showing essentially no sign of wear or stress.

My only complaint is that they are hard to put on, especially with heavy socks and my wide feet. You have to worm your way slowly into them because you are stretching the material while at it. But once in, they are very comfortable.

Tried them out with a weekend of camping and hiking and they were fabulous. Very comfortable with and without socks. So much so that I didn’t need any other footwear for the entire weekend. Then took them on a weeklong boundary waters canoe trip.

I had them in and out of water all day long. They are quick to drain water and dry. The various portages in the boundary waters provide a wide range of difficulty with some being downright treacherous.

The soles gripped very well with the only exception being wet clay and grit covered rocks which likely are slippery with any type of footwear. No missed steps. The heavy duty toe covers protect very well but overall the footwear is light.

The neoprene lining is very comfortable on the ankle preventing any blisters in that area. They took everything that I threw at them. I’ve tried on Keens before and they just didn’t seem to fit my feet but these were a very happy exception.

These quickly became my go to outdoor activity footwear.

Definitely pricier than Amazon’s alternatives, but those will break in two hardcore trips. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve had and they’re all terrain for tropical climates (sand, rocks, reefs, you name it).

Of course they’re not completely closed, and some smaller rocks will get in. Try not to get sand in between the fabric of the shoe and your feet, because they’re going to get chafed (sometimes I wear a sock).

Even with it’s disadvantages, this is my go-to for tour work. I’m looking for a second pair in another style.

I have been wearing Crocs Swiftwater Fisherman sandals for years. Until they got discontinued. I like the toe guard and the fact that they are both leather and waterproof. So. when my brown pair’s strap broke I needed to find a suitable replacement.

A friend suggested I consider Keen. I was put off at first since they cost about twice the price as I paid for the Crocs sandals. but I really like the style and look of the sandal so I bought a brown pair.

Well, it didn’t take long to break them in so they and my feet became one. I put them on and leave them on all day and never feel like I am wearing a shoe or a sandal. Took them to Mexico last week and will be wearing them to Hawaii next week.

Love these things! So. I just bought the black pair. I only have one pair of feet. so I have no problem investing in shoes. or sandals that treat them like gold.

I wanted to buy these instead of the women’s version as the men’s have a more grippy sole. I bought the smallest size in the men’s version and they fit well in terms of length and width but the strap around the back of my foot/ankle will always be slightly loose as it doesn’t tighten quite enough.

I do have very narrow heels, so that doesn’t surprise me much. I am looking forward to wearing these next summer – the soles seem really grippy and the sandals themselves seem quite stout and secure.

And in the heat (I plan to wear them in Greece and Spain) I am sure that the ever-so-slightly too large fit (and it’s only barely too large) will be fine as my feet will swell. I just wish they made the women’s version with a better tread on the sole!.

These were good to wear, protects your toes and gives support to your ankle. After no more than 5 months (3 last year, 2 this year) the little metal fastener that connects the back of the shoe to the ankle strap simply broke.

First one shoe and a week later the other shoe. There is hardly any wear on the sole. This is very disappointing. Poor quality metal. Please upgrade this material for future designs.

Very impressed. First time I’ve tried this style of walking shoe and I’m pleased I went with this range. The sizing is perhaps a little bit “generous”, presumably allowing for a thick sock, which is actually unlikely to be wanted with a sandal.

Otherwise a good fit and the ability to easily tighten compensates anyway. So far I’ve not walked any great distance in these but they’re very comfortable so wouldn’t expect longer walks to be a problem.

Very pleased with the service I received from Trespass, the shoes arrived promptly and well packed. I’d recommend these to anyone thinking of trying sandal type walking shoes.

They’re nice, but the DEFFINATELY RUN SMALL. DON’T GET YOUR REGULAR SHOE SIZE! I WEAR 9-1/2 SHOES, I GOT A SIZE 10 AND MY FOOT HANGS OFF THE BACK LIKE HALF AN INCH! Hopefully i can still exchange them because i popped the tag off when i tried them on.

I bought a pair of these sandals 5 months ago and loved them, but they were too big. I just ordered 2 pairs a size smaller and they are PERFECT! They are the most comfortable walking and water sandals I ever bought.

I love walking in the water at the shore during low tide with my water sandals on. NOTE: they do not come in half sizes. You need to buy the next size smaller! NOTE 2: I gave the pair of sandals that were too large to my husband and they fit.

I bought these for myself and my wife bought the multi-color ones and we are both very pleased with them! They are very lightweight, comfortably soft and very sturdy for walking around in them. The quality is excellent and made walking through the sand and water in Magen’s Bay very pleasurable.

I absolutely love these. Normally I would never pay that much for flip flops, but I had a gift card that covered half and new I wanted a nice pair since I wear them everyday. So worth every single penny.

I will be buying another pair this summer. The quality is unmatched and I abuse them foraging for mushrooms, gardening, etc and they are still in awesome shape. I can when them when I go on long walks and feet don’t get sore or any blisters.

I will absolutely pay 100-140 for your flip flops now that I know how awesome they are. I had garbage flops for 40 bucks for years and years and these are unmatched in comfort, quality and longevity.

I don’t usually leave reviews unless something is amazing, these are amazing. If you are like me and wear flip flops a lot then it only makes sense to buy a quality pair and this brand is the best I have ever tried.

I have purchased other Olukai footwear products and have liked them tremendously. They are lightweight, reasonably durable and comfortable, with a little dose of Hawaiian island style. These flip-flops represent a relatively rare miss for the company.

The are stiff, heavy, “clunky,” and uncomfortable, and the size was too small, which may be on me. I took a 20-minute walk with our dogs on a recent 90-something-degree evening in them and afterwards my feet were throbbing (that walk would have been no problem in my other flip-flops).

Even if the flip-flops were the proper size, they are not comfortable. The leather is too stiff and the soles are too stiff (thus they are “clunky” when you walk in them). It is harder than you’d think to find comfortable yet durable leather flip-flops, which are a must for casual wear in the warm-to-hot Phoenix climate.

Well I really want to like these sandals as first fit they seemed really comfy. I normally wear size 11. 5 but they only seem to have 11 or 12. Opted for size 11 as I did not want something too big. Unfortunately after a few days of wearing around the house the right sandal back edge kept rubbing on my the side of my foot causing to be very uncomfortable.

I don’t know if these would break in and be better but if I continued to wear them the rubbing felt it would cause a blister so I discontinued wearing them. I may try again as I really like the initial feel and style.

I think they have great potential. I may also try the next size up but think they may be too big. The size 11 seem like the correct size but the width could be slightly wider. For me I think I have to pass, these may be excellent for someone else.
