20 Best Waterproof Gloves For Hunting (2023 Updated)

These gloves have been fantastic, i live in the pacific northwest of Canada, i bought these gloves for mid and late season hunting after having to carry multiple pairs of gloves to change as mine got wet grabbing on to wet trees and mossy ground while hunting.

I also use them for walking my dog and just in general. I have had the opportunity to wear them while it is raining, and my hands stayed warm and dry. These gloves are still mobile enough to manipulate my GPS, and i am able to keep them on while getting in and out of my back pack.

The only gripe i would have and it is a small one and i have been able to work around it, i wear a Garmin watch and the cuff of the glove doesn’t fit that well over top of it. but i just keep that cuff a bit looser and seems to work fine! Highly recommend these gloves, my Partner has a pair as well, she uses for dog walking and hiking and she loves them, fit is true, My hands wear 9.

5″ according to their size chart, and i bought the Large.

Good glove. Went for large as opposed extra large as I know they will relax a little and tried this product in a shop at 15 quid more than RRP. The large size is a tight fit at the moment. Looks good quality and I bought them as a shooting glove so index finger can be extracted for trigger and thenglove tip.

folds back and is held clear with a magnet as oppossed velcro which I feel is better. Velcro wasnt designed by Ninjas 😯. The termal protection in the field isnt brilliant at first go (dog walking with a high output metal torch) but to be honest.

i usually use a ski glove on the left in a vehicle. even 5 to 10 MPH adds a lot to chill factor) as well as it helps support the rifle and the right hand is inside with access to a pocket and a hand warmer too.

I wear a heavy and huge watch and this clashes with the cuff a lot but as this hand is typically inside a vehicle and it can still do up I dont consider it an issue. Unusalually I wear the watch on my right wrist as oppossed the left.

But if your out standing in the wind this may help chill your wrist and hand. Materials and construction seem good allowing for the limited thermal protection. However. shooting. the need to feel the rifle.

and operate the action etc means its a balance and a compromise. Too thick a glove and you loose tactile functionality. So ai am happy to recommend this glove as long as you allow for ultra cold conditions.

If I was high seating and sitting elevated in a sea exposed to wind then you need to consider an additioanal layer of thermal protection. Good product well made from a respected brand at a decent price.

Additional items would lessen the £ damage postage has for a single item.

Very impressed with the gloves warmth and water proofing. The dexterity is good. The sizing is a bit odd but it was to be expected by reading reviews before I bought. Only thing I’d change is to make it smartphone compatible! I ended up buying a pair of the cold weather gloves with fusion control as well.

It is smart phone capable but they don’t come in green which I liked the look of more.

Nice gloves. My son has worn them on 5 hunts already. Thin, which makes them good in warm weather. The grip on palms and fingers are good for holding things and somewhat good for keeping the occasional sticker or thorn out of his hands.

I have a 9 year old little girl thay these glove fit perfectly. I did cut the index finger and thumb out so she can play on the phone while turkey hunting.

Great turkey hunting gloves, they fit snug and are exactly what you want in a turkey glove.

These are basically worthless. They may be waterproof but they do not breathe at all. SO if you exert yourself at all they become soaking wet inside and they stay that way. Gore Tex similar products would at least breathe a little and would eventually dry out.

These gloves do not dry out. I suppose one could use a boot dryer to remove the internal moisture.

I’m 60 bought many gloves in my life. $15-$20 up to $60. These are as good or better then best I’ve used. Light weight, warm, and I held them under water in sink since I haven’t been around water yet.

Plan to use them Ice fishing and Everything else. 2 pair for $12. Don’t know where you could find that price anywhere but here. thinking of buying 2 more as there on sale and I can keep them for the future.

I imagine water proof may wear out in a couple years. But can afford to buy a pair that often. may be better gloves out there But I wouldn’t spend $100 or more on them. outdoors northern WI. and Mn. If somethings wrong send em back.

Lemon comes out once in awhile. I always wear XL and these XL fit perfectly.

I always need a spare pair of gloves, so when I saw these figured for the price I couldn’t go wrong. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only are they a great price, they are great gloves. Warm, comfortable and well made.

Depending on what you’re planning to do in them they might be a little bulky. I used them bow hunting last weekend and they were fine. I could handle my release and despite 26F temps and spitting down sleet, my hands were dry & warm.

I had no trouble manipulating my release. For gun hunting I might have a little trouble with clearance in my trigger guard, but time will tell. One pair for this price would be great, but you get 2 pairs for under $12! Try to beat that.

I bought 4 pairs for my son and I. as I said you can always use a spare pair in your pack. One note: I’m 5’10” and 190lbs with average size hands and a large is a perfect fit. If you have larger hands you may want to get the larger size.

I bought these for ranch work, specifically for feeding and watering livestock. They really are waterproof and warm, unlike the other black and yellow gloves that I had purchased in store which made the same claims.

My hands were literally freezing in those other gloves, but in these they’re warm and toasty and dry. I’m not a huge camo fan, but these are (sorry, guys) really cute!.

Nice gloves, good camo pattern, fairly warm. I used these when the temp was in the high 20’s and my hands were warm most of the time.

Nice gloves seem to be good quality. And they are actually microfiber unlike the bibs.

Straight of the box these are as far as I can tell a quality product. I haven’t gotten to use them yet but I hope to put them through the ringer this winter. The only thing I’m not a fan of so far is the interior liner.

It slips and bunches up a little too much. Other than that my hands were toasty within seconds of putting them on, I can wait to have ice forming on them!.

I work outside. I bought these in anticipation of zero degree temperature to replace the ones I have. The gloves I bought before these kept my hands warm but my fingertips were freezing. I bought these and they kept my hand AND fingers extremely warm.

My first use of them was in 3 degree temperature while handling propane tanks. They worked EXCELLENT. The price was steep but they definitely were a great investment.

Best and most comfortable gloves I own. I love the fit of them because there’s nothing worse than gloves that are too long in the fingers and you can’t grab anything. I pick up decoys with these and have never had wet hands! Would buy them again!.

Theses are nice gloves for the first few hunts but the stitching in the cuff is starting to come off and separate.

Kept my hands warm last night! Excellent fit without too much bulk. I didn’t feel like they really inhibited my trigger use. They are pricey though! However construction looks good. They should last years.

I normally take large gloves. With these I bought a medium and they are spot on! Measure your hand as in the sizing guide and you’ll end up with the correct fit!.

The gloves are an excellent true to size fit. They are warm in very cold weather and the fold back finger and thumb allow easy access to trigger & safety. The collar at the top ensures a good seal against the weather for the wrist.

During extreme cold weather here in MN this glove was in general keeping my hands warm. However my index and middle fingers were a little bit cold. These gloves could use a bit more insulation over that part of the hand.

Also, the inner moisture barrier left my hands feeling clammy. For a glove this thick I still had good dexterity.

Decent gloves for the money. Not a cold weather glove however is warmer than some of the cold weather gloves I’ve tried. Fits to the hand well, good for shooting and or bow hunting. Good purchase overall.

These gloves are thick enough to provide some warmth. They provide excellent grip. I presume they cover scent on hands. The reason I like them above others is that they still are not so bulky as to interfere with safety and trigger functions.

Xl too small not available in XXL should be an option for that. Gloves have been sent back. Typical in the last few years From cabelas/bass pro. Not much available in XXL or wide boots.

I used these gloves on a recent early season archery hunt for elk. They worked perfectly to keep my hands warm as I glassed for elk early in the day. While the XL fit me fine, I was surprised to find the fit was a bit different between gloves sporting the Optifade Subalpine fabric verse those with Optifade Open Country.

I tired on several pair of both camo pattern at the Sitka store in Bozeman to confirm there wasn’t a problem with one pair. nope, the gloves with Optifade Subalpine were slightly smaller. While all my other Sitka gear is Optifade Subalpine, I am not the owner of a pair of these gloves in Open Country.

I guess that would be considered a fasion faux pas anywhere else besides elk camp!.

Do you have abnormally long fingers? No need to worry with this glove. I ended up sizing down to a medium which fits snug and the fingers are only slightly longer. Forget the sizing guides and what you wear from other manufacturers and try these on first.

Now for the good. You can move in these. I mean easy and precise finger movement. Not waterproof, but i ran them under a faucet and dunked in a bucket. I’m guessing it’s the seams but it took a lot before my hands got wet.

It’s winter so I’m trying to see how they do in the cold. They aren’t a thick, heavy, insulated glove so keeping expectations in check.

This glove provides ample dexterity while surprisingly offering a decent amount of warmth. I’ve worn these gloves on all my sits starting October 1st and I am pleasantly surprised by the comfort and warmth they provide.

However they do not pair as well as I had hoped they would with the Stormfront glove. It is far too tight of a fit (I ordered both as Large). Additionally, they don’t have much durability. I wasn’t expecting too much durability, but I imagine I’m only going to get one more season out of them.

All in all, a good glove for the price, just wish they worked better with the Stormfront glove and were just a tad more durable.

Went by the sizing chart and ordered a Large (most other gloves I own are medium). Received them and couldn’t get them on my hand. Ordered the XL and still a little tight to get on ( I don’t have a huge hand) but once they are on they seem to work OK.

Haven’t had them in the field but have been practiced shooting my bow and feel they will work. Exchange was very quick and painless.

I already want another pair and I just got these this year. They probably won’t come off during all of archery season since you can do anything with them that you could with bare hands (trigger pull, use phone, pick your noise.

etc). When it comes time to glass and sit in the cold for an extended period they will fit easily inside anything with more insulation. They fit just fine under the same size of the cheaper traverse glove.

I have been wearing mechanix as my utility gloves for the past 3 years and they just get wet/cold/useless after a day. Very pleased.

The perfect early season, warm weather glove. I have worn this everyday in the heat, up into the high 90’s, and could not be happier. It’s great to have camouflage everywhere, but more importantly, sun and other hand protection(climbing over rocks, trees, etc).

Super easy to use smartphone for OnX and other apps. Might be pricey, but protection for yours hands on hot days is imperative.

Very good product, well made using quality materials. I have not used them in anger as it has not been as cold and wet as it was back in January. I ordered the medium as advised for size 9 and although they came up a bit tight I have been wearing them on my morning dog walks and they are now beginning to ease a little.

My only comment would be that the length of the little finger is slightly too short at the moment and I cannot put the full length in up to the web. I am hoping this will ease/stretch with time. Other than that I am very pleased with my purchase.

The gloves appear to be really good quality, but getting the size that fits took a bit of effort. Website fitting guide indicated I needed a medium and even though I ordered large they were too small.

Great service from NFC in exchanging them for XL that fit well. Time will tell how good they are in wet and cold weather.

Just got a pair of these. Not only do they fit my big hands, but they are not tight in the least. Once they are on you almost can’t even tell they are mesh back.

Light weight breathable gloves. Great for turkey or deer. Can feel the trigger without issue.

These gloves can be used for turkey season, early bow season or as a liner glove. Very comfortable and durable.

I bought these gloves for an upcoming AK sheep hunt, knowing I’d need waterproof gloves that also had plenty of dexterity for gripping trekking poles and my rifle stock. So far, they’re great. The Pittards Oiltac leather doesn’t get mentioned enough but this material is awesome; it gives you that firm grip and tight hold (wet or dry) on whatever you need to grab.

The best part is that it’s not stiff, making it easy for your hands to curl around a trekking pole handle or water bottle. The gloves feel durable and that waterproofing is what I really needed. I was able to layer a pair of thin merino wool gloves underneath.

The layering worked but the fit was a teensy bit too tight. I’ll see how they feel in the winter. The gloves were easy to take off but held in place when the Velcro wrist band was cinched. I don’t think these are going to be the warmest gloves (that’s why I have the Northstar Glomitts) but they’ll do the trick in on a mid-season hunt in the rain.

Finally, I like the solid Gunmetal color since it shows up in both my Valo and Verde tops AND it’s a neutral color for non-hunting uses too. The only reason I’m giving 4* is because I haven’t used them in the field yet.

Let me start this by saying glove and i DO NOT GET ALONG. Ive always used brown jersey gloves you can buy in bulk at the farm stores. The reason for this is all the high dollar gloves ive bought in the past have made my hands sweat profusley, make them extremely cold by not breathing properly, or just get to damp from sweating.

Well let me say this. These glove so far have not and i repeat have not made my hands sweat on mid 60 degree fall days. I used them on the coldest morning this fall to go fishing and they did way better then expected that morning.

My hands didnt get cold and they didnt sweat and get slimy. They were about perfect to be honest. Only draw back ive had is some stitching on thenpalm of my left hand came loose, so i used a lighted to melt it down and into the palm material.

I really enjoy these gloves. If the wind isn’t blowing I can typically wear them by themselves, and be comfortable in 30 degree temps. I have raynaud’s disease, and wear gloves more than what a normal person would throughout a day.

As an example, I rarely hunt gloveless unless the sun is out, and its 60 degrees. My last pair lasted 3yrs, of hunting between 42-58 days a year. The thumb wore out where I would load shells into my shotgun.

They fit well enough I wouldn’t notice the thumb at all. I went ahead, and replaced them this year anyway. I like the idea of a spare set. I prefer the wool over the fleece because my hands sweat in the fleece, and get cold easily.

I like the feel and touch screen compatability in the fleece glove more so than the wool, but ultimately the wool wins for me.

We bought these gloves because we are searching hades and high-water from some WATERPROOF lightweight gloves. These were advertised as being “waterproof” and when we did a search for “waterproof gloves” these came up.

But these gloves are NOT waterproof. Part of the top sides of the gloves bead water off of them, but those top-parts are just a few panels, held together by lightweight polyester that the WATER RUNS RIGHT THROUGH.

So you have a few “waterproof” panels, attached to an entirely NOT WATERPROOF glove. Which renders those panels absolutely USELESS in real-life cold + driving rain conditions. A total waste of money.

Plus, just really irritating that these are sold as “waterproof” and they absolutely ARE NOT WATERPROOF.

The fit seems to match the size designation. The gloves are light weight and warm. A great feature is the interconnecting cloth strips between the fingers. These strips make the gloves so easy to take off.

The one feature I did not like was having to tuck the mitten portion back into the glove when I wanted my fingers exposed. A few pieces of velcro would make attaching the mitten portion to the glove to expose the fingers so much quicker and better.

That is the only reason for dropping one star.

Wore them pheasant shooting yesterday, -2C, windy & wet. These gloves were warm all day long, stayed dry and keep their grip. Really liked the easy to tighten & loosen wrist strap. Might have to get a second pair!!.

Bought these to wear on a quad bike in winter. They are comfortable and warm but unlike some others are flexible enough to be able to work in and with trigger fingers could probably shoot and reload reasonably quickly.

Have not worn them in heavy rain as yet but they have remained dry inside in heavy snow.

Waterproof by means of a waterproof membrane but outer material does get wet, so hands stay dry but can get cold!

Within a few days of receiving these gloves–and without any heavy use whatsoever–the stitching between the leather and fleece elements on the right hand thumb gap came undone, leaving a large hole in the seam.

The gloves were well within the warranty period, so I returned them to Norrona’s service center. (Note: If you take advantage of Norrona’s warranty/repair guarantee, you will pay outbound shipping). Norrona informed me that the gloves weren’t covered by warranty, but that they would repair them anyway.

That’s nice, but it seems disingenuous to deny that a defective pair of gloves is not covered by warranty policies (they did not offer an explanation of their reasoning). For the price, and given the reputation of the brand, I expected far better than the immediate inconvenience and expense of returning the gloves, as well as the cryptic/smarmy behavior of the service department.

Avoid.

I´ve been using this glove for about a month for hunting in Sweden. Works fine in temperatures between 5-10 degrees C (for me anyway). It´s smooth and allows movement in a nice way with my fit. Quality is somewhat OK, the leather is nice and soft but there are threads coming out in some places which I didn´t expect considering the price.

I recently bought these gloves. The expression “fits like a glove” must have been created after someone used these gloves. I normally wear size 10 which equals XL in Norrona size. Perfect materials and extremely comfortable.

The trigger finger expansion is not hampering at all when your finger is not on a trigger. It is placed in such a way that that your finger stays in the glove and does not flip out with ease. This was one of my concerns at first.

But Norrona lived up to its expectations again and created a perfect pair of gloves. Highly recommended!.

Yhos glove is the absolubest lightweight glove I have ever used. Great even when it’s not wet, but it is truly waterproof. Hunted in steady rain and the inside of these gloves stayed dry. They are a little tough to pull on but the fit is fantastic.

Dexterity and the ability to use my phone and other electronics. Can even text with them on. Grippy and great trigger feel. Didn’t get a chance to use them bow hunting but I am sure they will be awesome.

Durable, tolerated the dragging rope as well as tree bark. I can’t say enough exceptbuy two pairs. I will defybe purchasing a second pair. Another fabulous Pnuma product.

Had these gloves less than 2 weeks, and I already doubt I’ll ever find a better fitting and comfortable glove for scramblin’ around the ol’ elk n’ kitty ridges where I live, in -10 and warmer. I’ve apparently never had gloves that wick away moisture properly, and was actually confused for a split second when I got out the first day really using them, and realized my hands/gloves weren’t sweaty 10 minutes into the haul up the ridge looking for cat/wolf sign.

This was through 1-2′ of mixed soft/hard pack snow, heavy brush, willow brambles, deep dark timber, and these gloves took everything I could throw at ’em all day, and 8 days since of the same abuse. Great job.

The gloves fit really snug which is excellent for hunting or prepping your ground blinds, stands, or any other outdoor activities. The gloves are quiet and match the rest of Pnuma’s line of products well.

The best part of the gloves is that they are long up your wrists and allow you to tuck the gloves under your coat, providing a wind proof barrier. I would by these gloves again.

I’ve been using these gloves for upland hunting in italy twice so far. So my comment comes after little use. This said, I love them. They fit well and allow for great gun control. They kept my hand warm and well protected.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see that even if they are supple and thin they actually provide great protection against thorns. I was literally grabbing thorns with my hands without discomfort or feeling any pain.

I give 4 out of 5 stars just because I couldn’t test them longer. Very happy of my purchase. Oh, and delivery (from the US to Italy) was super fast. Side note : please bring your hunting products to Italy as well.

I have used these gloves for 10 days of hunting. I like them, but don’t think they are going to hold up in the field. My dog and I don’t hunt like gentlemen, we beat the cattails, willows, and woods, and the gloves have been worn thin in places.

I’m hoping they get me to the cold weather, when I will use cold weather gloves. I really like them, they are just not durable for my application of chasing birds in Minnesota.

I have been using the Orvis deerskin shooting gloves for years now. I have always thought they were the best. I am guessing they don’t make them anymore. So I bought a pair of these sheepskin gloves.

Now I know why they don’t carry the deerskin gloves anymore. Now sheepskin are the best. 5 star for them.
