20 Best Watch Winders For Rolex (2023 Updated)

I purchased three of Wolf Module 4. 1 watch winder after owning another Wolf Winder I purchased last year for my wife. It was a triple Wolf. The watch winders are made extremely well, and there is great attention to detail including the packing.

The actual winder is packed in thick Styrofoam then in the first box with a security sleeve on the box. This first box in then placed in a large box where all four corners are again covered by soft foam corner protectors and then that box was shipped in another box.

Back to the winder the winders are extremely quiet when running. The winders rotation are adjustable from 300 turns per day to 1200 turns per day. The are preset to 600 turns per day and with a simple push of the plus or minus button the turns per day can be easily programed.

There is also and adjustable start where the start of the rotation can start immediately or be delayed up to 72 hours. The very padded drums simply pull out and you put you watch on them just like putting it on your wrist.

The drums are spring loaded so you simply compress the spring in the padded drum shut the clasp on your watch and reinsert the drum into the watch winder. The digital display illuminated when you turn on the drum.

The rotation can be changed from clock wise to counter clockwise or bi directional. That is the purpose of the A,B,C switch on the left. I did ask the question about the connectors and the answer given was incorrect.

Inside each winder box is a large silver plastic connectors. If you look at the back of the winders in the photos attached you will see a silver radiused handle. Just align the two modules together and slip the silver connector in the cut away slots and the modules are connected.

Before buying my first watch winders I did a lot of research and some of the cheaper winders have cheaper electric motors and the motors actual magnetize the watch which shortens the life substantially.

Another feature is the removable glass case keeps the watch clean.

Each watch maker has certain specifications on what revolutions are needed in a 24 hour period and rotation direction. Rolex for example requires clockwise and bi directional on some of their watches.

With this watch winder you can set direction, clockwise, counter clockwise and bi directional. The rotations needed in a 24 period also vary by manufacturer and this winder you are able to set the rotations in a 24 hour period than match the watch makers instructions.

This specific winder rotations are adjustable from 300 turns per day to 1200. Many winders do not have this function even some from Wolf. Too many rotations on a daily basis put wear on the internals of the watch.

This will damage the long term life of the watch. Choose you winders carefully and make sure you look up the watch makers requirements before purchasing a winder. Many cheaper winders also cause magnetism in the watch which will severely limit the life of the watch.

This is from using a cheaper motor. Due your research and choose wisely. Choose quality and specific functions first they style next. Photos show three winders attached with the included clips in every box.

You can hook up to almost a dozen Wolf winders with the attached cord off one transformer.

Shipped very fast, shipment was packaged well to ensure contents were not damaged. This wolf watch winder is very well constructed and “solid”. Very good quality plastics and glass. The motor runs very quite and can’t notice the noise.

Easy to operate with user friendly design and easy to understand instruction. I absolutely love this investment and worth it, I had a cheaper watch winder that only lasted around a year. This is my second wolf watch winder and had the first for 2 years with zero problems and runs just as quite as when I first bought it.

I’ve been searching for a watch winder to support my collection of watches for many years. Saw this watch winder in March 2020 at which time I ordered it. For some reason there was a difficulty in delivery but eventually I got it.

The wood gives a rich feel and the package overall looks beautiful. I have a single Wolf winder which has been constantly on for the last 2 years without issues. I look forward to many years of enjoyment.

The only thing is now I need fill the final two slots.

I bought this and overall really like it. It is a nice display case and has some extra storage but not that much. It is very very quiet compared to other winders I have owned so it get high marks for that.

The cuffs do not fit well and you need to be careful so you won’t damage the motors when taking out your watches. I finally figured out how to do it but took some doing. I had looked at Wolf’s before for my self winding watches but couldn’t justify the price.

However at the Massdrop price it was well worth the premium over what is out in the market for a nice piece that is very quiet with some storage space.

So glad I made the purchase. Now I dont have to spend 5min resetting my watch every time I decide to wear it. The Wolf Viceroy 2. 7 is built well and I honestly cant even hear the motor in it when its rotating the watch.

Delighted with the single viceroy winder. An excellent quality product that looks and feels fabulous. Took moments to set up and is now running silently by my bed side. Arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date and was well packaged, with good instructions and easy to program.

A welcome addition to my ever growing watch collection. Did I need a winder? well, I have a modest collection of mechanical watches, so can justify having one, but could have happily carried on hand winding them.

Am I glad I bit the bullet? absolutely without a doubt. The winder is so aesthetically pleasing and I get to enjoy the watches, that would otherwise have been waiting to see the light of day, effortlessly come to life.

I though I was getting a decent quality product for an amazing price, but now I’m convinced the retail price of this watchwinder is a ripoff. It worked fine for about a week, then the motor started grinding and makes an annoying noise.

It’s worse than the cheap motors on budget watchwinders. Wouldn’t be so bad if I could open it to service the motor, totally sealed and designed to thrown away.

I recently gave my dad a Rolex for his birthday, his watch was stopping all the time for lack of winding and use during the day; my solution was a watch winder. Bumped into WOLF while doing my research, and it came across as a high quality product for another high quality product.

My dads watch is always ready to wear and I eliminated the need to wind the watch. Please note that the watch has a perpetual movement, but somehow my dad does not wear his watch all day long, leading the watch to stop working.

Now he just “takes and wears” the watch, and it is ready to go anytime.

Wolf is the de facto standard for winders designed to keep automatic watch running while they’re not being worn (for a day or two or for a long-term peiod of non-wear). Having said that, this particular model is great in that it’s small, quiet and mainly unobtrusive (one small blinking LED and virtually no noise).

However, while my watches (a Panerai, a Seiko Dive Watch and a pair of Breitling Chronomats) are fine when wrapped around the piece to slide into the socket, 9 times out of ten the piece comes loose from the socket and requires a significant amount of force to ensure it stays in.

Frustrating and very disconcerting. Invariably, I hear a clicking emanating from the box of the assembly coming loose from the socket and bumping against the box’s cover. That’s disconcerting. The other problem — the fact this box doesn’t allow for adjustments (speed, direction) are a problem — but that’s just a lack of feature.

The socket being too hard — ridiculously hard — to protect the face of the watch from bouncing or pressing against the front of the winder window isn’t a welcome feature. And definitely has me considering other winders (as in other companies) for solutions when I eventually purchase a four- or a six-head winder.

The wolf cub winder is very well made and extremely quiet. I purchased the dual winder version, and even in a bedroom, it runs almost imperceptibly silent even with both winders going. The winder box itself has a great presentation, with the large window showing both watches slowly spinning away.

The winder has a 900 TPD which is safe for the vast majority of automatics. It winds clockwise and counterclockwise intermittently for six hours then rests for 18 hours. My only criticism of the Wolf winder, is that the cuff cushions are much too large, and place a lot of strain on the watch straps and bars.

I solved the problem by using Velcro cable ties to keep the cuffs compressed. There are small size cuffs available on the Wolf website as well. Overall I highly recommend this winder over the cheapie ones you see on Amazon.

Not only does the winder not operate but Wolf apparently doesn’t have functioning customer service. I called the number they provide and it goes to a recording that offers no option for service other than if you already know someone’s extension number.

Lacking that I tried dialing 0 at which the recording says that mail box is full and is not accepting new messages. This is the second time I have bought a Wolf winder and it is the second one that has not worked.

The only conclusion I can draw is that the quality control on these devices is very poor and Drop probably shouldn’t sell them.

This is a reliable winder from Wolf. Seems to be in the style of the viceroy winders but perhaps with some of the quality sacrificed. Don’t hear me saying it’s cheaply made, far from it. It’s sturdy.

One small complaint is that the top lid arm does not recess into the walls of the box, but rests inside the box. I would prefer that piece of metal not be so close to an expensive timepiece. Great product, nevertheless.

After purchasing several Chinese garbage watch winders and having to replace them within a few months I decided to give the Wolf a try. It is by far the best watch winder I’ve seen, the quality and workmanship are excellent and I highly recommend this.

Save your money, don’t waste it on the cheap Chinese garbage winders. The Wolf may cost more initially but it is a lot less money than having to replacement garbage winders over and over.

Fantastic bit of kit I have two next to my bed & they are very very low noise. They hold large watches easily, mine wrist is 8″ 1/4. Just place your watch in select what direction of rotation you want or both then select whether you want a 12 hrs delay before starting to prevent over winding switch on & that’s it ready for when you want to wear.

It looks better in person than in the pictures, I was pleasantly surprised. # Aesthetics It looks great, feels very premium; however, the the clear plastic is the only part i’m concerned with getting scratched but as long as you are careful then it is not a problem.

# Operation It is ultra quiet and I don’t even hear it at all even by my night stand. I do like the multiple directions, off 12 hrs and on 12 hrs. # Conclusion who knows how long this will last but I bought based off the reputation of Wolf so I expect it to last a very long time.

Protective packaging was excellent. Winder (single version) is whisper-quiet, and works as promised. The insert is spongy, so once you have strapped your watch to it and inserted it into the winder, the fit is nice & snug, and there is no flopping about, even with a relatively weighty 46mm timepiece on a steel band.

So far so good.

The watch winder with fingerprint lock is cool and finishing is of good quality. It also comes with a remote to tune the watch without having to open the case. And most importantly the support team is very responsive to query.

Due to my small wrist, the watch cushion does not fit to my watch. The team send me videos on how to fit the watch and finally send me more of the cushion patches that resolve my problem. Happy with their service!.

So impressed I upgraded from the 6 watch to the 9 watch winder. I’ve had all the main brands but the Dukwin is the best.

It shows off its beautiful craftsmanship. I put 4 watches in it and all have kept accurate time for a couple of weeks, but the best thing is I have never heard a sound from the motors!!

It was very disappointing to find that the interior lining was crumbling. Considering that it was a new winder it was totally unsuspected and should never have happened.

Got the triple with storage. Bigger than I thought but it is what it is. Unboxing was impressive in design as it should be for something this expensive. As for the actual winder, it does the job as described.

The rotating motor is silent. You get to pick number of rotations per day, which direction or bidirectional and you can put a time delay. The thing you mount the watch to is kind of big. You really need to compress it to close your watch on it if you have a smaller wrist size.

The winder came very nicely packaged, Definitely worth the price and the wait!. I would say it is happily humming along except. it is doing its job in complete silence! The finish is top notch. I also liked how i would get regular updates on the order process.

It has modes that wind clockwise, counter clockwise and bi-directional. It has four speed settings and an off switch so you don’t have to unplug it when not in use. It is quiet, producing only a slight hum when it winds, but loud enough to wake a very light sleeper if placed on a night stand two feet away (you’d have to be a really light sleeper though).

At eight feet I can’t hear it at all. I’ve been using it for about two months and no problems. Works well with my Seiko diver’s watch. ***Revision: This winder gradually became louder over the first few months until I had to remove it from my bedroom.

I took it apart and lubricated the gears but no joy. It finally quit working after about two years and now resides in the dump. I spent twice the money on another, more highly rated winder which is utterly silent, looks better, works better.

Pay the extra and get the quality.

I like this watch winder for my Seiko watch much better than my last one. It positions the watch just below 90 which is optimum for winding the watch. My last one positioned it at 30 & I had to tilt it to get it to wind the watch.

I would definitely buy this one again.

How can you recommend a product you only have for a few weeks. It works fine now but this is the third one I have purchased over 6-7 years. So it doesnt last very long. It should run for years longer in my opinion.

The only reason I keep buying it is it is affordable and I need to keep my watch running so I dont have to reset it every time I want to wear it.

Lovely build quality, quiet as can be. Definitely does the job it’s meant to and the packaging was impeccable, a real masterclass in unboxing experience. Mine arrived with the lid slightly askew, however (the latch isn’t perfectly centered, which messes with the hinge geometry when it’s closed).

Not a major deal, but time will tell if it affects anything long term. Funny enough, I submitted a warranty request to Wolf about it and they never got back to me. So there’s that.

I purchased this for my husband’s birthday as he has several watches and always spends so much time winding them. He absolutely loved it! The quality is superb and it looks gorgeous. The size was a lot larger than I anticipated.

It was a wonderful addition to his Wolf collection ( he also has a valet tray and watch box). Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality watch winder.

Quality, looks, and functionality are top notch, but not usable out of the box if you have small wrist size. Can’t use it because the winder cuff size is too big for my wrist size. You’d figure this very important factor, wrist sizes, would be part of the design process.

Reached out to WOLF to see if there is a smaller winder cuff in BRG color otherwise this is going back.

I purchased the British racing green wolf watch winder and Armadillo was a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately there was a slight issue with my first shipment and Armadillo has my back and rectified the situation and exceeded my expectations.

I bought this because I am not just looking for a winder where I can mount my watches, but also a winder which can provide added security. This one has a supplied key which you can rarely find in a winder.

Most winders have those same essential features, but this Volta Signature series winder makes it distinct from all the rest! High five Armadillo! Till our next transactions :).

It has settings from around 650 to 1,800 rotations per day and it winds clockwise and counter-clockwise for each of the 4 settings. It can store up to 4 of my watches and is very quiet. I put it just around 5 feet away from my bed, and I couldn’t ever hear it at all.

That one was a bonus! Overall, the watch winder is great and my watches look lovely especially when they are inside!.

It looks great, it is a gift so I haven’t tested it out myself yet
