20 Best Warm Gloves For Men (2023 Updated)

Really disappointed. Love all my Carhartt gear, but these are a giant dud. The first te I used them, my hands were starting to get cold within 10 minutes of snowblowing and it wasn’t very cold out. These were a serious downgrade from my 20 year old snowboarding gloves.

The second time I used them, it was fairly warm (maybe 35) and my hands were again cold in a few minutes. I removed the inserts and that improved things considerably. As some others suggested, the inserts might make the glove too tight, crushing the insulation/eliminating the effectiveness.

I’m going to try them without the insert next time and give them a full test that way. In either case, it’s a huge disappointment. poor design and a fairly expensive pair of gloves. I mean, they are winter gloves that do not keep your fingers warm.

Seriously?.

They are great gloves. They are built for the elements- warm and waterproof with enough dexterity for me to hold onto and work on my project. I would have preferred the insulation the inserts provided was built into the glove itself instead of being a separate insert because I know eventually, I will misplace the inserts and wearing the inserts inside the gloves to some extent restricts my fingers movements.

However, the inserts are really not an issue because I have worn these gloves during a winter northeaster’s snowstorm with single digit temperatures and without the inserts, they kept my hands more than warm enough.

I would not hesitate to purchase these gloves again. As for the appearance box below- I do not care about appearance- all I care about is warmth- dryness- functionality- and durability and these gloves meet all what matters to me.

I have to say, first, that I am a HUGE Carhartt proponent. I have several dozen pieces. Many coats and vests. This was the first item from Carhartt that has not measured up. My hands absolutely froze during only moderately cold temps.

Ambient temperature was in the low 30’s. It was literally as if I wasn’t wearing gloves, at all, except for the limited mobility and tactile decrease. Completely shocked and disappointed with the lack of performance from these gloves.

Its my second pair of swans x-cell 2 gloves. first one were gloves and I was so happy with them then I ordered the mittens now. my gloves are still good although I put about 25-30 days snowboarding in them the past 4 years which means the right hand are getting pretty warned down from deeper carving and dragging hand on snow.

I researched and tried many mittens but the swans seems the best solution in terms of warmth and also the way the stitching made and located has the least possibility to wear off and open up. Its an awesome pair of glove.

I’ve gone through so many different pairs of ski gloves over the years dealing with poor warmth to poor quality. But the search is finally over. These gloves are incredibly warm and the quality is top notch.

The leather is so soft and supple allowing for amazing dexterity straight away. There is no waiting to break them in, which is a huge win in my book. I haven’t had to use it yet, but I really like the utility pocket for hand warmers, so much better than having to stuff it into your glove directly.

The liners are so soft and comfortable too. All this for half the price of comparable gloves too. I highly recommend these gloves!.

These Mitts are unique because they feature slots within the mitt that keep your fingers in place and from bunching all up together. The slots only cover about half of your finger, from the tip to the 1st or second knuckle.

It helps the Mitt feel more like a glove and improves dexterity IMO. The outer leather and other materials are also extremely flexible and supple which also helps them feel dexterous and very high end.

I’ve used them for alpine skiing, cross country skiing and general recreational use. They are the only Mitt-style glove I will use during skijoring and given the occasional dexterity needed for untangling lines etc.

That being said, the inner finger slots actually prevent your fingers from touching eachother as much, which is kind of the whole reason Mitts keep you warmer than gloves. The hybrid design therefore isn’t as warm as some of the bulkier traditional style Mitts, although the activated carbon/iron heat packs can help.

That being said, for me, the tradeoff of some warmth for superb dexterity (maybe unrivaled in a Mitt) and overall durable/ high-end material feel is worth it. I’ve worn them in a variety of conditions from -18F to 50F.

To my fingers, in average wind conditions, they start to get dicey below 15-20F if you aren’t moving very actively and they aren’t really wearable under 10F without other warmers, multiple liners and/or frequently balling my hands up inside the glove to warm them back up.

If I’m downhill high-altitude skiing in high winds or near 0 temps, I’d prefer a heavier duty Mitt. For reference, I have slightly longish fingers (6’1” height) and probably slightly below average cold tolerance in hands, so you’re tolerance may be different.

For the price it’s a great pair of gloves. Soft material,nice design. Really a perfect fits. It does work with phone screens as advertised. I would say it’s a mild weather glove. I brought it to NYC this week, weather was about 3 something at night and my hands were very cold.

Only 4 star’s-because they are one size smaller-by USA standards. My better half wears large gloves. But had to order XL size, as she just couldn’t “squeeze” into the large. (I’ll “gift” the smaller one’s to one of the grand-daughters this Christmas.

I lost one of my gloves. I bought the first pair 5 years ago. I just about cried when I lost the one glove. I drove for a living. These are the best driving gloves you can purchase & for a great price.

They have all the extra padding in all the right needed places. They will keep your hands warm in the winter & cool in the summer. They grip any kind of steering wheel. I love these gloves & highly recommend them for every one.

There good quality gloves, even during hot days you don’t sweat so much and still maintain a good grip to the wheel without any slipping due the moisture. I haven’t driven in the winter with them yet but I pretty sure they’ll be great as well.

End of April here in Quebec was still pretty cold and it helped keep my hands warm and again good grip to the wheel.

I found these while on a business trip to Kentucky. My mom uses crutches to walk with and I thought these might help her hands and I was right. That was over 10 years ago and I order her a pair every year.

Not only do they help with the crutches but she also loves them for driving.

The gloves look like rubber and are not nearly as warm nor do they fit well. The touch screen feature does work, but the fit of the gloves makes it difficult to use.

We recently purchased these mitts for a ski trip. I really like the design. Nice long cuffs and very nice cinch straps at the wrists, definitely nicer than velcro. These gloves are relatively thin (i.

e. not a lot of thick insulation). They have OmniHeat which is effective, but I’d classify these as good spring or warmer weather gloves. Not sure how they’d perform in super cold conditions. I’m super happy with the purchase, as they were a great deal on sale.

I think they’re a great complimentary set of gloves to have in the gear bag, but I’m not sure they could perform as our only set of gloves in all conditions.

This is my 2nd pair of Floso gloves and i have to say, they are the best gloves money can buy. Hardwearing,comfortable and very warm, my first pair are still wearable after years of abuse wearing them on long winter nights whilst our fishing I definitely recommend these gloves for any outdoors person.

Have used the same gloves but with the shorter finger cover for several seasons when cycling, grippy, comfortable, and cheap. Now have some of the full finger ones, over which I wear polythene disposable ‘one offs’.

I had North Face Denali gloves about 20 years ago for cold days in Northern Virginia. I wound up moving away back to a warm climate and never used them again. I recently headed up to Yellowstone National Park for a winter tour of the park, so I decided to upgrade my old Denali’s to the latest style.

Little did I know, it was going to be -34 degrees Fahrenheit outside at the start of the tour. Unfortunately these gloves didn’t do anything to stop the cold, even after only 3 or so minutes of exposure.

I can’t knock them though. I knew they weren’t made for that kind of cold. I’m sure they’ll be great for cold days around New Orleans where I live now. They are well constructed, comfortable and good-looking.

I highly recommend them for cool and moderately cold days.

Christmas of 2020, I bought my boyfriend a pair of needed gloves from a well known named sporting goods store that cost me a pretty penny. Much more than I wanted to. Well, those gloves fell apart after only 2 weeks while doing small things like walking the dog, driving or shoveling snow.

Amazing thick gloves that fit my long fingers! The finger tips do not thin and wear out as the fit is so good. They’re warm enough for winter cycling. This is my second purchase of this style of glove.

Not because they wear out, but because I’ve given so many away as gifts!.

Sizing is out of whack. A woman or child would struggle to put on a pair that’s sized “men’s large”, so there must have been a labelling error during production. While the materials seem to be of good quality, there was no way to test the product since they couldn’t be worn.

After struggling with painfully cold hands really since a newspaper carrier as a boy, I swore coming out of last winter that it would be my last without some heated gloves. Happily, I have lived long enough for this technology to advance.

To be used for snow removal (hand and machine), early morning staging of golf carts for part time work and daily half hour walks to the grocery, I did not need really thick or bulky gloves as for snowmobiling, and these gloves, though I was unable to see them in person prior to ordering, seem so far to serve my needs.

They are cozy and comfortable with somewhat grippy palms and the small battery packs nestle comfortably atop the wrist. Very complete instructions for charging and use of the 3 stage heating and everything is of first rate quality.

No serious cold yet in northern Colorado, but at 40 I am good with medium, even low setting. At 78, I am glad I waited no longer.

I ordered XL, and they are quite tight on my hands. I usually wear large ladies gloves. I expected these to be a bit bigger. My husband is not able to wear them; they are tight enough on his hands, that they squeeze his fingers.

That said, I am able to wear them. And they work nicely alone, and I can do electrical work with them. They really shine under my Jersey gloves. They are a subtle heat, so if I start with cold fingers, and only wear the liners, my fingers remain cold, but once I slip something over them, my fingers thaw out within a few minutes.

I was looking for a pair of gloves that would be good for my work commute and running errands in cold weather. This glove is perfect for that. My hands stay toasty warm. I have no problem locking my electronic car door.

I bought these gloves to replace my old running gloves. Although not marketed as a “running glove” they are perfect. The gloves kept my hands warm for over an hour in 25 degrees and the touch screen compatibility is definitely a plus! The look of the gloves make them attractive enough for everyday casual use as well.

They are very soft and not bad for 35 degrees and up. They do let you control your touchscreen device but it does take some work. The biggest problem I have is the seams in the finger tips. I can honestly say I can’t stand that.

I am female beginner snowboarder usually using a female small or SM size gloves. I bought this mittens ti myself with L size to accommodate my wrist guard inside. I have a Xtreme s size wrist guard and it fits well inside, and I can wear it by myself.

I have s size demon double-side wrist guard, it is rather hard to pull the mittens on it and it always needs someone to help. This gloves is in good quality, as a beginner I fall and put my hand on snow quite often.

It keeps my hand dry all day long in Japan powdery snow. I just got one day without powdery snow, it still keeps me dry all day. The surface is leather and it becomes a little wear after using for 8 whole-day snowboarding.

I guess it is because I hold on board edge quite often to walk to ski resort, yet it does not get wet inside. Moreover, I really LOVE the color. I bought the red one and it looks exactly the same as the photo here.

I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago in Rye color. I loved them so much I just ordered a second pair for my partner. These gloves are great! You get the warmth of a mitten with dexterity of a glove.

We are both skiers and poles can be a bit cumbersome with mittens but gloves sometimes don’t provide enough warmth when the snow is flying. I have used mine a couple of weekends now and love them! They’re not quite as warm than my Volcom gortex mittens but plenty warm with some Burton liners thrown in.

bought these to operate a touchscreen fitness tracker while xc skiing – the index fingertip surface certainly allows for that. i am normally a medium and bought large – the fit is snug (seriously, i can’t fit another liner in there) so just size one above what you normally have.

super warm nonetheless. there are finger holes for your third, fourth and fifth fingers if that matters.

Got these on sale for $10 off so it was a great deal and nice gloves. Runs slightly small. Large fit perfect while in other gloves large is a bit loose.

It’s bigger than I was waiting. My palm is 9.5 sm wide and I thought that my size is L. I was wrong. order another pair (size M).

I have been in the lawn and landscape industry for around 20 years. I don’t generally like heavy duty gloves because I sacrifice dexterity. These are some of the toughest medium duty gloves I’ve ever had.

Hauling branches and moving stone are glove killers usually. These have been an exception. The finger seams are comfortable and don’t rip as easy as other brands. They aren’t waterproof but they do dry quick.

I’ve become a ridgecut fan because their pants have shown to be just as tough.

Hello. These are Decent gloves. Very Flexible. I work as a Seasonal Driver Helper for a National Package company. Wear these everyday. My only issue is, Grip. Boxes sometimes slip out of my hands. Using them for about a month now.

Should last me until Christmas.

Good gloves, but not for heavy, gritty or oily work. The coating on the palm and fingers won’t last. Nice fit, even for larger hands; tactile grip for sensitivity is good. Makes for good cold-weather shooting, riding, or driving gloves.

Improvements- Heavier velcro so it won’t wear out, and leather between thumb and forefinger for wear.
