20 Best Utensils For Cast Iron (2023 Updated)

Wrote many reviews but was never lucky to win anything, but anyway I love any thing Lecrueset, 5 piece utensils is beautiful, sit on the counter near the stove. I have used it many times, very functional, and protect my cookware from scratches.

Comes apart easily for washing.

These are great spatulas. The silicone head removes from the wood handle for cleaning. If the head is not removed water will slowly weaken (rot) the narrow wooden piece that the head slide onto also food debris will collect and bacteria will grow.

The head may seem difficult at first to get off, but it is required to provide a long-lasting and food-safe utensil. Great tool if you are willing to take it apart when cleaning and allow the wood to dry.

Not so much if you just want to wash and forget to take care of it. Buy a one-piece unit if you are unwilling to spend extra time properly cleaning this 2 piece utensil.

This sounds ridiculous BUT the price tag sits between the wood and the silicone and is impossible to get off. I tried scissors and tweezers to get it off and I can’t its trapped. Thought about using an exacto blade but fear i might slice silicone.

And as noted in other reviews there is a gap between the silicone and wood- will take it back to exchange for a tagless one. Other than the tag being a permanent fixture, its quite a nice spatula,.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Staub collection of utensils is the gorgeous Acacia wood handles. They are rounded, smooth and gorgeous and moisture repellent unlike wood handles on lesser quality utensils that can be rough and uncomfortable to hold.

The dark silicone portion on each utensil has a long neck running up the handle to keep the wood from the wood handle although they clean up perfectly either way. Risotto is one of those special dishes that needs to be stirred constantly to get that creamy texture and this spoon does the job perfectly The hole in the center allows the ingredients to pass through the middle as well as around the paddle of the spatula.

The edges allow you to scrape the bottom to keep any of the risotto from burning. This spoon is perfect for your Staub cocottes but is easy on any of your cookware including your nonstick pots and pans.

I specifically ordered this for my new 4 qt. Staub cocotte because I did not want to scratch the interior with my metal ladle. This ladle is well-worth the price. The handle it beautiful and not too long.

I especially like the flat front of the ladle so it can get right up against the cocotte and scoop out all the goodness. Definitely recommend!.

I love Staub but this spoon has broken my heart. I don’t know if I just got a defective one but after one use a piece of wood broke off. I’ve had lots of wooden spoons over the years from various brands (Le Creuset, Sur La Table, Caphalon etc.

) and have never had this happen. The spoon is beautiful and is smooth in your hand (love the ergonomics) I just wish it hadn’t chipped because now its useless; my 15 month old uses this $25 spoon as a play thing in his kiddie kitchen.

It’s a spoon made of olive wood which I bought for my wife to use when mixing ingredients while baking. She likes it. It’s a spoon. It does what spoons are supposed to do. It’s spoon-shaped. Made of wood.

Good for baking. And spooning things. It’s not a knife.

Such a lovely addition to the kitchen. This wooden spoon appears to be hand carved, with a lovely smooth finish. It’s a bit larger than most wooden spoons, much higher quality and artistically pleasing.

I bought this for myself a while ago and liked it so well that I purchased another for a friend. Cast iron can be a little difficult so clean off anything that sticks to it. I read about chain mail scrubbers that were suggested to clean cast iron.

I searched until I found yours and I have not been disappointed. Thanks!.

The chainmail scrubber is a little pricey but after having used it for a few months, it’s certainly proven worth the price! It easily removes baked & caked on food with minimal effort. I always had trouble cleaning my cast iron after searing meat but this works great to remove.

About 5 years ago I became a cast iron fan. I’ve been adding to my collection ever since. I had seen a demonstration on cleaning cast iron skillets with chainmail, but I could never find the chainmail for sale anywhere.

Recently I was browsing the cast iron section of Bed Bath & Beyond and to my surprise, I saw Lodge chainmail scrubbers with silicon inside for scrubbing skillets. I immediately ordered two. I’ve received them and I think I’m going to be very happy using them.

Since you may heat a skillet up before scrubbing it, the silicon in these keeps you fingers up and away from the heated skillet. That’s an added innovation.

This black silicone and wood wok turner, like others in the Staub line, is a handsome kitchen tool. It’s comfortable to hold, the turner is rigid (does not flex when lifting a pile of food) and does not scratch the surface of nonstick cookware.

One potential drawback is its relatively short length. If you are using it with a wok that’s 12″-13″ or less in diameter, it’s fine, but if using it with a much larger wok, its length is suboptimal.

Had planned to handwash with the wood handle, but keep in mind BBB website says it is dishwasher safe and the item instructions say not to put in dishwasher. BBB needs to have correct designations of their items.

has happened before! Spoon seems great though, seems sturdier than my other spatulas for using on stove and like the shape of it. Says “high temperature resistance” but does not say how high of temperature.

Waited specifically for this item to be available and am glad I did. Quality construction means that it doesn’t feel fragile. The silicone tool gently bends to the curve of the wok allowing for consistent proper “scooping” of ingredients without scratching the seasoning of the pan like many metal tools do.

This spatula-turner is terrific on a couple of levels. The silicone turner is both durable and heat resistant. It is sturdy enough to get under heavier things like a whole chicken breast or larger piece of meat.

But the bonus is the shape. It’s designed to have the best angle for scooping in a straight-sided pan. So I when I have larger pieces of meats, or my pan is filled with potatoes, I can get even the pieces close to the edge.

The acacia wood handle is beautiful and comfortable. I don’t mind hand washing my tools so the dishwasher doesn’t dry the wood out.

I recently purchased the spatula and chain mail scrubber to go with the set of pans I received as a gift! The quality of all their products is superb!!!! So glad this lived up to its reputation! It’s built solid, it’s sturdy with just enough flex, and the full tang handle gives me confidence it’ll last for a long time. The wooden handle brightened up with the application of some butcher block wax.

Purchased this set as a present for my partner. We love them! Made pancakes on the griddle and have used the skillet non stop since arrived. Officially tossed the teflon pans! Will be coming back to Smithed for more products.

All 4 objects are amazing and highly useful. The protective sleeve makes grabbing the pan much easier than a towel or an oven glove. The brush and the scraping plastic spatula highly useful to clean the pan without worrying for scratching it.

The less important is the oil sprayer as it is a bit tricky to use and often I ended up spraying the stove and not the pan, but is it much easier and faster than spreading oil with a paper or by rotating the pan.

Lodge Seasoning Spray is so good it should be sold as a stand-alone product in every supermarket. Who doesn’t have cast iron? It’s pure canola oil, so it’s perfect for cooking as well as seasoning cast iron; I absolutely use it for both.

There are no other ingredients or propellants, so it’s safe for your traditional nonstick pans. I do have the entire kit, which I recommend, but the spray should be available by itself for everyone. Note: Be aware it has a wide spray so aim with precision.

I wish I would have read the reviews before buying this fry pan. I purchased it two months before my husband’s birthday so cannot return it. I cannot believe that QVC would let this sell again after all the bad reviews.

The first time my husband used it everything stuck to it and had to be soaked to be able to clean it, it was a real pain to clean after that. It left a black ashy residue meaning that the coating is peeling off! What a waste of money! I have been with QVC for 40 years and have always had good luck with the products I have bought over the years, but I am VERY disappointed with this purchase.

They need to take it off the market!.

The pan is huge! Love the pour spots on both sides as the pan is heavy. Having 2 pour spots makes it easy regardless of whether you’re right or left handed or position of the pan. Just love it. Heats up fast and hot too.

Glad it’s ok in the oven but haven’t tried that yet. But many fun meals to come with this pan. It’s sizzling hot! The color options are great. Love the blue/teal option but went with red. The ombré is a nice touch.

Even as a low pan, can still see the ombré coloring.

I seasoned this pan just as it said and everything stuck. I had to use baking soda as the instructions said. Oiled it up again and tried it again. Stick city. Way to much trouble. Had to switch back to my old pan to finish cooking.

Will be cleaning it up again and sending it back. Don’t waste your money. This does not work.

Bought this before Christmas ’21. Didn’t know I needed it, but SUCH an improvement over the wooden handle-slide off spatula. Doesn’t get water inside, so no mold if it doesn’t dry completely. Gets into nooks and crannies of pots and pans nicely.

My only wee complaint is that it’s big in my wee little hand, but nothing to be done about that.
