What can i say about this thats bad? Its 4L capacity is awesome, no more cooking in batches! Anything you have ever had that was deep fried CAN be done in this with little to no oil. If you have meat in the oven and want roasted veg, put the veg in the air fryer and roast them! (I dont have many pans for the oven.

but i dont need them now!) reheat lastnights dinner for lunch. Even make your own potato chips. You know when you go to the store to buy chips but you have more oil on your hands than saudi arabia? NOT ANY MORE! The dehydration is really awesome especially for fruit.

Nothing like a good healthy snack without hurring up to eat it before it goes bad! (Nothing fancifies an adult drink with your friends like a thin 1/2 slice pinapple on your glass!) This entire unit is a win win on my opinion.

Why not treat yourself to a healthier option without missing out on your faves! Speaking of healthier options, you can cook fish in this bad boy too! Sooo good!.

I have been avoiding cooking some foods because I didn’t want to wait for my oven to pre heat, cook and then release all that leftover heat. Plus, I never got them quite right. I’m a newbie, I chose this model because I am familiar with the Ninja brand and watching the video it made sense to me.

I also liked the stream lined look. It just fit under the cupboards on my counter BTW. I made chicken wings last night with onion rings on top and set it for what I thought was a short time to pull the onion rings first.

They were burned to a crisp. Lesson learned. This appliance is a beast. The wings were even done! I now feel like I can make those fries, onion rings, tots without waiting an hour but I’ll cook them separately now.

I went crazy in the store buying things I wanted for ages, spring rolls, dumplings, wings, fish sticks, even salmon patties, this Ninja air fryer will make cooking so much easier. I can’t wait to make those fancy brussel sprouts.

Easy to use, timing will be a learning curve but this machine is patient. I did buy the coffee filter like liners for air fryers on A and they worked great to avoid clean up on messy stuff. With this new Ninja Air Fryer, my InstaPot and the new Oster toaster, bake, broil, etc.

counter top convection oven I bought I’m not replacing my microwave, it’s gone and I’ll make the space a shelf to hold other things and won’t be seeing my oven until Thanksgiving. These appliances are a game changer.

If you are looking for an Air Fryer get this! The brand is fine, take the risk and buy! If you want anything and I mean anything cooked and crispy in a ridiculously hyper quick speed buy an air fryer.

No oil is required to add to most foods, if needed a literal drop or two. The air cooking makes it almost comparable to frying. Literal 6-8 minutes for hash browns from frozen to hot and crispier and crunchier than McDonald’s.

Anything you want to make you can do it in the air fryer. You can bake a cake, dehydrate and cook a streak. All in a record breaking time. Exception is the dehydrating which takes 6 hours but worth waiting.

Only disadvantage is that the Australian consumers need to order a shelf direct from the manufacturer to enable more room for frying as it comes only with the base shelf that takes away the base of the air fryer so the product isn’t swimming in oil.

If you are planning on eating healthier and loosing weight anytime soon then this is not the product suitable for you at this time because the temptation is real and you would deprive yourself of much deliciousness.

I was looking for an air fryer that was efficient but not too pricey. This one was it. My main concern was how well it air fried chicken wings since that is why I bought it. After using it the for first time, it air fried the chicken wings perfectly.

They were crisp and cooked all the way through. You have to keep in mind that you need to toss around what you are cooking every few minutes. The guidebook was useful in determining the temperatures I needed to set it to.

However, the guide wasn’t that great in determining portion sizes. It says that you can add up to 3lbs of chicken wings, but I easily add up to 9lbs. With proper tossing 9lbs cooked perfectly every time I used it.

It also air fried chicken breasts nicely. The air fryer is easy to clean as the food pieces don’t stick to the sides or the bottom. Overall, this is a great air fryer.

I had this a few years and then thew it out because it was such a hot mess. First,don’t use it close to anything. the issue isn’t what’s behind it but the heat from this itself melted the air fryer! I put it on my stove as I knew it wouldn’t damage paint or be accidentally touched by a towel or anything and multiple times it just melted itself.

Second, after a few uses the handle cracked. It was still usable but not great quality apparently. Lastly, the markings came off quickly and the little rubber protectors that hold up the shelf inside came right off and got lost.

I am not hard on my appliances but when I use them I expect them to perform in the intended function. This does air fry things but that’s the only thing it does right. Get a better quality from the start and save yourself.

I have a larger air fryer but it’s a pain to get it out all the time. I purchased this compact one to cook my frozen salmon patties I get from Costco since I eat one almost every day. This fryer is small enough to keep on the counter.

What I like the most is that I don’t have to reset the temperature every time like I have to on my old one. I set the dial at 400 and it stays there until I change it. I also like that the minute selector is a dial.

For my old one I had to press buttons to add or subtract minutes. the dial is much more efficient, although maybe not as precise. No big deal. Overall very pleased with the convenience, efficiency and cuteness of this fryer with no annoying button sounds, just a classic “ding” when it’s done.

Definitely made for making single portions. My first challenge was to find accessories that would fit inside. The Dash website does carry an accessory set that will fit inside their compact Air Fryer, but it was tough to find them, as the Dash web site was sold out, and the product descriptions had to be read very closely because Dash makes more than one kind of “compact” airfryer.

I finally tracked down the right set on Amazon at a reasonable price (one vendor wanted more for the accessories than the cost of the Air Fryer). I’ve enjoyed trying out various recipes, though I’ve learned that when making “baked” or breaded items, I need to cover them with foil for at least half the cooking time or I end up with very burnt tops or slightly charred coatings.

So far, I’ve made single servings of french-onion chicken breast, muffins, fries, salmon, a mini cake, a hasselback potato, reheated and crisped up roast beef hash, garlic toast, cinnamon bread and have more recipes to try.

So far cleaning the Air Fryer had been really easy. While it is supposed to be dishwasher safe, I’ve opted to handwash the main basket and insert, a really easy chore. It’s also easy to store with its compact footprint.

I recommend this Air Fryer as long you recognize it limitations. Eventually, I’ll get a bigger AirFryer, but for now, I’m getting alot of use out of my Dash Compact Air Fryer and having fun doing so.

I had been using a Philips Premium model that according to multiple reviews that supposed to produce better than average AF’ed food. However, my experiences have been more or less hits and misses. Then comes Cuisinart AF.

The difference is quite obvious despite being a much cheaper unit. The Cuisinart AF is much more powerful and efficient (while requiring less wattage !!), less noisy, and producing much tastier food.

It takes only a few minutes to create perfectly done asparagus or chicken wings, and I am finally able to make AF’ed food that actually tasted like it actually came out of an AF oven. Only complaint I have is I wish there’s internal lighting.

No problem with the mechanical dials (love this actually).

Overall this little thing is fantastic! I have cooked chicken legs in it and even as compact as it is one can fit at least 6 legs with room to spare. I actually used a bit of flour seasoned with salt and pepper and lightly dusted the legs before cooking.

I did also lightly spritz them with olive oil I have in a spray bottle. They came out like they were fried in grease and were crispy on the outside and VERY juicy on the inside. I always check meats for the magic internal temp and these were perfect.

The drip pan and cooking basket fit very well and I can remove them easily when hot by using a pot holder. It’s a bit tight for an oven mitt. Once I clean it and let it cool and dry I store mine on the counter on it’s back end, front facing the ceiling, and cover it with a plastic shopping bag to keep dust off.

Cleaning. This one is not the easiest to clean to me. I wipe the inside walls and window with a soapy rag then with a rinsed one. Afterward I reheat the oven without the drip tray and basket to 450 for about 5 minutes or so just to finish the drying and burn off anything I may have missed.

The drip pan is easy to clean but the basket is a bit of a challenge, even using nonstick cooking spray. But I have a small nylon brush I use after letting it soak and scrub it good. That works for me.

Other than the cleanup, I am very happy with this air fryer and will be cooking many more things in it, like pork chops, and some vegetables. I’m sure it will be perfect for the job!.

My husband bought me this for Christmas, and unfortunately after that I had gotten extremely sick that I never had the chance to even use it. On Mother’s Day I awoke to a beautiful breakfast made by my daughter using this appliance.

She made me a beautiful quiche which for the first time in the longest, I was able to taste. Thankfully I recently regain taste and smell… and tbh this toaster has been a little life saver. No conflicts.

TLDR: air fryers are great, but the Instant Vortex should be avoided My wife and I really enjoy using our Instant Pot because it’s fast, convenient, has many options for type of cooking and is very well built, so when we decided to get an air fryer, the Instant Vortex was an easy pick.

However, we quickly learned that the Vortex is not the same kind of innovative and well made product we had come to expect. Out of the box, we were a bit disappointed to see that there were no sample recipes to try, unlike our Instant Pot.

Also, the power cord is fixed, rather than removable like on our Instant Pot which we appreciate because it makes it easier to store when not in use. The interface on the Vortex uses cheaper feeling capacitive buttons and the piano black and brushed black plastic finish doesn’t look nearly as nice as the brushed stainless finish on our Instant Pot.

The basket of the Vortex and the included grate are very thin sheet metal with a non-stick coating on them, while the Instant Pot includes a thick stainless steel pot. Initial impression was that the Instant Vortex might not even be made by Instant, it might just be a rebranded air fryer because the quality of the product was nothing like what you get with an Instant Pot.

For our first use of the Instant Vortex, we decided to make chicken wings and french fries at the same time, an ideal combo for this air fryer. Since the maximum temperature the Vortex will go to is 400 Fahrenheit but the fries required 450, we set the timer a bit longer than the stove cooking directions for the fries and keep an eye on them through the cooking process.

To our surprise the chicken wings and french fries cooked quicker than they would have in a stove and at a lower temperature. The fries were golden and crispy, and the wings cooked through and had a wonderful crunchy coating like you’d expect from an oil fryer.

After washing the basket and grate with a soft soapy brush and rinsing them, we placed the basket on our stove to dry before putting it back into the fryer. Our puppy decided to inspect the basket and knocked it off the stove, snapping the poorly constructed handle off.

My wife contacted Instant about getting a new handle but they informed me that no replacement parts were available for the Vortex, so they offered to sell her a new unit for a discounted price, which she did.

With our new Vortex, we noticed after about 20 uses that the non-stick coating on the grate was wearing off, which had us worried about consuming the Teflon coating, so we stopped using the grate. We again contacted Instant, this time to see about a replacement grate for our newer fryer and a handle so we could fix our older fryer so we could give it to my parents.

Once again we were informed that there were no replacement parts available for the Vortex, so Instant offered to send us a third Vortex for free. Our experience with our Instant Vortex has been very bitter-sweet.

Over the course of a year, we’ve gone through 3 units and while air-fried food is wonderfully crispy, fast cooking and healthier than traditionally fried foods, the Vortex itself is a very poorly built product.

My wife’s parents have a T-Fal Actifry which has worked well for them for a few years, and it has an agitator to continually stir the food during cooking so you don’t have to repeatedly shake the basket like you do on the Vortex.

We ended up selling the third Vortex that we got and will be putting that money towards a different air fryer, something better built.

So there is definitely was a difficult time in choosing an air fryer because as you know, there are so many to choose from. So many price variables and claims to what each fryer can do. In my case, I just wanted real crispy potatoes and real crispy chicken, along with my roasted vegetable that I have been doing in the oven for a while.

I also wanted something simple to use. I didn’t want to sit down and take a course in learning how to use the unit. This Instant Pot Air Fryer, push air fry, push time-adjust with dial, then push temp-adjust with dial and start.

That’s it. During the process it will beep to add food and beep part way through to remind you to stir the food. Simple and the results for me are very satisfying. So this machine is everything that I was searching for.

Perfect fries. For frozen fries, I don’t add anything and the results after 15-20 mins on 400 are amazing. For fresh potato fries, I will use a small amount of oil in a bowl to coat the potatoes and BOOM.

So I surely would recommend it. If this holds up anything like the pressure cookers, then this will be another solid item. I do have a toaster oven air fryer by Cuisinart and for those of you who are looking to which one is better, the instant air fryer makes it crispier.

The Cuisinart does hold more food I find. Instant fryer is much easier to clean than the other one. This is Rob approved.

I absolutely love this Fryer. Did a lot of research before choosing it to. It’s a pain getting it “Seasoned” like any other air fryer. By that I mean getting the new plastic smell out of it. BTW google the lemon juice and vinegar trick.

Anyways, use this for everything not just wings and fries. Convenient, fast, easy to clean and perfect size for two people. OK here’s the rub. ,this morning went to preheat prior to making breakfast and the timer would not set past the 1 minute mark.

I looked online to find I am not the first to encounter this, but there was no solution posted. So I took it back to CT and they replaced without issue. My drawback is I have to “ season” the new one.

I guess what I’m saying is that I’ll live with the hic-up, the time to go get a replacement and re- seasoning because this is a terrific gadget to have and use…don’t be scared because of my review…get this brand.

I have a Breville oven with air fry but wanted a basket style for things that are messy so I wouldn’t be scrubbing baked-on grease off the walls. Basket style air fryers are easier to clean. I’ve had other basket air fryers in the past and the biggest gripe I had was you can’t how the food is coming along unless you open it and let the heat out.

The window has mostly solved that problem. If you are cooking something in a tall pan or dish inside you can’t really see anything but the side of the container, but for things you cook directly in the basket it’s fine.

The controls are logical and easy to use and the knob makes changing the time and temp fast. I like that it gives you a progress bar like the newer Instant Pot models. It does beep quite a lot which can be annoying but the beeps aren’t super loud.

Cleanup is simple. The instruction manual states not to wash the basket in the dishwasher. Dishwashing detergent is hard on nonstick coating so you probably don’t want to do that anyway. Don’t use aerosol spray either as the propellant degrades nonstick material.

Make sure you follow the first use procedure in the manual and run it without food so it can burn off the manufacturing smell. Otherwise your first meal will taste like plastic. I didn’t notice a smell after the first run.

I did the normal asking people how they liked their brands, what they would have liked better, etc. Then I went on my search because I really wanted one. I love the settings that allow you to choose what you are cooking, even cake is in the presets, it even left plenty of room in the basket for the hot air to circulate, the basket itself is even lift out by pressing the button on the handle.

I absolutely love this air fryer. I didn’t have that plastic burning smell some air fryers seem to have. I was a complete newbie to air fryers, had no clue other than seeing my daughter use her air fryer once.

Brand: Ultrean It has been 2 months since I purchased this air fryer. It has a 4L non-stick food basket and temperature control from 180-400F. It cooks my food amazing. I have cook: eggs, fries, chicken, shrimp, biscuits, frozen food, burritos and pasta sauce.

I recommend buying utensils for the air fryer like the one shown in the pictures.

This is the best airfryer! We purchased 3 airfryers in less than a year, but this one is a keeper! We had a smaller one, a different brand, which was okay but we wanted one that was shaped more like a countertop toaster oven.

We gave away our first one, and purchased a stainless steel one that sits on the counter and opens up like a little oven. Terrible idea and we immediately regretted that. We stuck with it because we had been through 2 in a short time, but about 6 months later I surprised my husband with this one for Christmas last year.

We still use it pretty much every day. It does take up a lot of counter space, so I make everyone put it up when they’re done with it. It cooks to perfection. There’s lots of room inside, and I can cook about half a bag of frozen fries at a time.

It’s super easy to clean, most stuff comes out with just a wipe of a paper towel but for the crusty stuff, I just hit it with warm water and a scrub brush and it just slides off. This air fryer is great quality, cooks everything perfectly, and is the best value for your money that you may find.

I was convinced that I did not need an air fryer, that we would never use it, and that it wouldn’t do anything that our oven couldn’t already do – I was so wrong! The first thing we cooked in this was wings and at that moment we knew that we would be keeping it and using it for everything! Our oven does have a convection setting, but for some reason, it does not have the same effect as an air fryer does! The wings were so crispy on the outside, but still tender on the inside.

We started buying bags of frozen chicken thighs and put them in the air fryer frozen, and then with about five minutes left, pull them out and toss them in a powder seasoning or sauce and put them back in the air fryer to finish If you like breaded chicken or breaded pork chops, this cooks them so perfectly that you’d think they were fried! It’s great for cooking frozen french fries and tots, and we’ve started cooking Brussels sprouts in it as well with amazing results The thing I like most about using this to cook, is you’re not really actively cooking while you’re using it, it doesn’t require your full attention like using a cook top would This was truly an item I thought I would never use, and now it’s something that I use several times a week!.

I have owned for a litte over two months now and use daily in the am for potatoes with my breakfast. Tots and hash browns turn out really, really perfect! I have making some meats, and reheating some food and all turned out really good as well.

Pizza got crispy bottom and foods were fully reheated, unlike with the microwave. I also tried the dehydrator function and as it did work pretty well but it is something that I need to play with a bit more and get the science down of that method.

The one thing that bugs me about this machine is the touch screen buttons are a bit finicky sometimes and need multiple attempts to push to change. It also isn’t terribly, annoyingly loud, compared to another air fryer I have used.

It’s not dead silent but I can run it without it being more than white background noise. All in all, I love this machine and think it works really well and would recommend to someone in the market for a multi-use machine.

I will say the app from them sucks as it doesn’t really give you much air fryer recipes and doesn’t really filter out the results too well. I really wish the machine came with some basic guideline recipes/times for the dehydrator and food but so it goes.

I bought it because I wanted to try air frying foods and I had some gift cards. 1) it’s VERY small. You cannot fit a whole chicken. (Costco bag of 3 whole chickens, not a single one fits) 2) Strong smell of plastic for the first several usages and it really permeates for a long time (days) 3) Buttons are rage inducing and completely non-deterministic.

You can tap it 10x and it might register once or twice. I find that if one button doesn’t want to be ‘pressed’, you can press another one and then go back to the original one. It seems to be caused by bad software, but hardware is possible too.

The most honest way to describe this item would be: Easy bake oven for adults. On the bright side, it warms up VERY quickly (up to 400F) and does a decent job at cooking and reheating certain things like frozen foods, fish filets, etc.

I use it mostly as a toaster oven for hash browns, occasional fries and fish filets. I did a comparison between my deep fryer and this item for fried chicken. Half the batch went in the oil and the other half in the Vortex air fryer.

The chicken in the deep fryer was perfect and delicious whereas the chicken in the air fryer was absolutely NOT crispy, took much longer to cook and the meat was dry. I feel like the marketing behind ‘Air Fryer’ is not based in reality and should be investigated for being misleading.

I really like the vortex plus. Not sure why there is a complaint about it’s overall quality. I have cooked roasts, pork loins and small chickens in half the time of a conventional oven. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 5 is because of 4 specific reasons.

1) my biggest annoyance about this model is the obnoxiously loud and high pitched beeping sound (that makes my whole family cover their ears) when turning it on, setting the time and temp, the “ready for food” alert, the “almost done/check food” alert, and the “done” alert.

The fan is also very loud, sounds like a very loud microwave 2) you get 2 trays but can only use one at a time because it does not cook evenly. 3) unlike most other air fryers/ portable cookers, it needs to preheat so you have to put the tray, rotisserie basket or stick on an alternative surface while it preheats; very inconvenient, especially with raw meat.

The temp goes to high for preheat to put the food in first. 4) because it preheats first, getting the rotisserie basket or stick in place can be a challenge since it is so hot.

I give this CHEFMAN – TurboFry 3. 7qt/3. 5L Analog Air Fryer, Dual Dial Control, Dishwasher-Safe Basket Model:RJ38-V3-DC35, 4 stars for 2 reasons. First for the size and space required to store this Fryer is a hindrance to owning.

It is big. Also I reduce the rating due to the ease of which you could burn yourself if you touch the rear of the fryer. Here is an example of how you can be burned. The basket is large and fits tightly.

Pushing the basket back in takes effort which usually moves the fryer. If you attempt to hold the fryer in place and your hand slips down from the the top 2 or 3 inches expect to get burned. This thing gets HOT! While it took my spouse a while to get onboard to using the Air Fryer, she loves it now.

We all do. The machine is great at cooking food evenly and thoroughly. You will be amazed at how much oil is in your food and how much of the oil this fryer removes during the heating/cooking process.

This fryer is easy to use, set up and clean. The only cleaning issue is getting rid of all that oil that gets taken out of your food, that would otherwise be eaten.

I bought this a little more than three weeks ago, so let’s be generous and say it’s been four weeks. Until today it’s been fine, but now it randomly shuts off while cooking. I figured at first it was overheating, but even when running it at 250 degrees the same thing happened.

(Note: I checked online to see if there was a heat cutoff or something I could be doing differently but that doesn’t seem to be the case. ) So, four weeks and $40. the cost of ownership on this “boat anchor” is apparently $520 a year.

No, I didn’t register it for the warranty. These days, especially for cheap things like this, it’s not worth the hassle and cost of sending it in. It seems to me the manufacturers should pay for shipping both way, but I’m guessing they’ve planned it this way to minimize the number of warranty claims they have to deal with.

Moving on to a review of the air fryer’s operation – while it worked. The things I mention are to be expected when buying such a cheap appliance so I’m not complaining (except about it dying), I’m just pointing out the little things.

1. When you pull the fryer basket out to check on the food the timer doesn’t stop. It’s a mechanical timer so that’s to be expected. Just expect it. 2. The timer is inexact for the same reason. 3. This one’s a valid complaint.

The temperature and timer dials have index marks (pointers) molded in, but they’re barely visible because it’s all part of the same piece of plastic. I took a permanent marker and made black lines so I’d have an idea of the settings.

For another penny (and I’m overestimating the cost) they could have added black index marks. Incidentally, if I’d registered this for the warranty my guess is that the two little black marks would have voided it.

My next air fryer will be a real brand, and better than a $40 piece of junk.

I’ve had the Breville Smart Toaster oven for many years and love it. I use it almost daily and unless I need to, I prefer to use it over my full size oven. I’ve also been wanting an air fryer, but have resisted getting yet another appliance.

I finally purchased this and I am so glad that I did. It has all the features of the regular Smart Oven, but with an added “super convection” setting that serves as the air fry setting. Using a friends stand-alone air fryer, I will say that this is not quite as good.

Fries still come out crisp, but the stand alone air fryer fries are a tad crisper. That being said, I am still loving this and have no regrets getting this instead of a stand alone air frier. I purchased some perforated parchment sheets to line the fry basket just to help with clean up, and that makes clean up a breeze.

If you already own a Breville oven, all the controls are the same, so there is no learning curve at all. There is just that one additional “air fry” setting added to the selection list.

I have only just started using this Cosori Original Air Fryer but like it a lot so far. It’s very easy to clean, and I got some perforated parchment sheets online that will make it even easier. The first Cosori I bought was digital and did not work properly even though it was brand-new and un-used, in the original box with all the packing and paperwork.

I could not get a refund for it (the seller was not “approved” or some such excuse) so I am saving it for parts — the basket and heating unit are interchangeable with the Original so I will keep it on hand for future emergencies.

These units get great reviews and the Cosori facebook page has a lot of wonderful-sounding recipes, so hopefully my air fryer will last a long time and the extra parts won’t be needed.

I have owned at least 8 air fryers in my time. I don’t care for digital air fryers, too many beeps. Most were hard to clean or just too small. This air fryer is the best of them all. Easy to use, clean and the size is great.

I love the manual settings and the only beep you will hear is at the end of cooking. Love Love Love this baby! Plus it looks great on the counter.

We have owned this air fryer for 3 months and I’m amazed how much we use it. The fan is very loud but my husband always knows when I’m ready to try a new recipe. Made chicken kabobs today and they were delicious.

I love the fact that we can take our favorite recipes and change them into a healthy version that requires very little oil. If I ever have to replace it, I will buy the digital version, I think it would be easier to program.

No complaints, love our new appliance.

Had the Cosori 5. 8 qt. with 11 presets and used it for some things. What I didn’t like was having to cook the accompanying items on the stove. Decided to cross my fingers and give this 10qt. a try. Cosori is now on Craigslist and FB Marketplace.

This Ninja is so much better at cooking, no necessary up to 5 minute preheat, much more versatile and a lot easier to clean. Made 6 full length strips bacon in this and it took about 15 minutes on air fry and they came out evenly browned and crisps.

The other day I made a 12oz. 1″ thick boneless ribeye in 1 and some fresh cut fries in 2. Tossed the fries in about 1/2 tbsp. of veg oil and air fried for 13 minutes and the pulled out that drawer, Then I broiled the steak for a total of 14 minutes, turning it twice.

it was done a perfect med/rare. As soon as I pulled it I let it rest and put the fries back in 2 for 2 minutes on air fry and they were done perfectly golden crisp outside and soft and moist inside. Yes I had two drawers and two plates to clear after but surprisingly it was actually quicker and easier to clean them that the much bulkier Cosori basket and drawer.

I’ve also done some other things as well and all worked perfectly. And, no wasted time waiting for the unit to preheat. Just hope that some accessories become available soon so I can expand this Air Fryer’s uses even more.

I am still learning how to use this 10 Quart 2 Drawer Air Fryer, but I can tell you that I LOVE IT. Best Air Fryer I’ve ever had and I’ve owned and thrown away a few. It does not heat up my kitchen which is great where I live it’s very hot during this time of year.

It cooks fast, and it infuses flavor into whatever you are cooking. It’s great for frozen snacks but what I’m most impressed with are the dinners. Hamburgers plump up, stay moist and full of flavor. Chicken thighs/drumlettes/wings come out crispy on the outside and moist and full of flavor inside.

Vegetables are better than ever, vegetables that I didn’t really like before are really good now cooked in this Air Fryer. French Fries whether handmade or frozen come out crispy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside.

I am so happy with this purchase, I use it every day, it makes great meals, saves time, gets dinner on the table faster than using my oven. I LOVE IT.

A huge disappointment from the Instant brand. Let me start off by saying I love their products! I have the regular vortex (my favorite) the Omni & the instant pot duo. I have had no problems with the others but this one? I feel like it was rushed.

The screen to adjust time/temperature and settings you basically have to punch each button for it to recognize it’s being touched. I can look past that. The food does NOT cook evenly when using both trays.

The top tray burns and the bottom tray is undercooked. So even though it is bigger than the regular vortex you can cook more in the vortex at once and not worry about uneven cooking. The biggest flaw? The door.

When it’s open it makes it seem like the whole air fryer is going to fall or the door itself is just going to come off and when you go to shut it get ready for a fight because it almost never shuts straight the first time it shuts very crookedly.

I got air fryers to make my life easier not harder. Fix the screen, put the same door as the Omni and add another heating element to the bottom and it would be great. One thing I will say is it didn’t have a terrible smell at first that a lot of people complain about.

The website of Instant Appliances is flagged as insecure. One page tries to slam you into installing a spell-check add-in to Microsloppy Udge browser, before allowing you to read the user manual claimed to have more than the paper one that comes with the oven.

Try that and you get more bobbles and security warnings. The supplied manual is glib, including how the rotisserie cage goes together. Beware the heating element is just a stove-top hot element in the top of the cavity, unprotected from contact by your hand.

A fan above it blows air down, I do not know how much circulation there is. The user control panel takes the right touch to work well. BTW, I purchased the 10-quart model, in hindsight wished I’d purchased the 6-quart model to take up less counter space.

This is a sizeable appliance. However, it does not have much vertical space.

I looove air fryers and have had several. None have been especially better than the others. My only requirement is that they be large enough – 10 quart or greater. The last one I had was the Power Air Fryer XL.

It was excellent, but I would occasionally wish I had something that could cook two things at once but in different baskets. So, I bought this for that reason. And it is huge – takes up the entire portion of my small side counter next to the stove.

Take a look at the dimensions if you have a potential issue with the size. Anywho, the double basket feature is nice, but when I’m not cooking two separate things it really isn’t a benefit. I have a large family and some things, like fries, just form one big pile and I have to constantly shake the basket to ensure they cook evenly.

Yes, I could use the two baskets at once for one item, but then I’m cleaning two baskets and don’t always want to do that. Other issues I have is that it doesn’t pause cooking when you pull the basket out to check on the food – you have to press the control knob – never had to do that with any other air fryer.

Also, you have to press the control knob between almost every action. Other than those things, is a nice air fryer. Get parchment air fryer liners to save on cleanup and ruining the nonstick.

Bought this air fryer because of the great reviews and the dual baskets to air fry two items at once. Was a great air fryer! Easy to use buttons and looks nice. Ended up returning it for the xl verson though, as the baskets were a bit small on this one, especially if only doing one layer.

Now having tested both this one and the xl, the buttons and ease of use are better for this one than the xl, but fir me, the size of basket still won out of ease of use. Love how fast this cooks ans heats up as well! Also have used the instant brand air fryers, and although those are built very well too, they have this preheat and cool down mode that adds an extra few minutes on each end where the ninja seems almost instant for cooling and heating, which is great when I’m tired after a long day of work and just want to make a meal real quick in under 10 minutes.

One thing I dislike though is when cooking two baskets at once the power is reduced, so cook times do need to be slightly longer. If they had the same power rating as just cooking asingle basket at a time it would make this a 5 star unit.

I have always wanted to try an air fryer. Reading reviews about plastic smell/taste filling your food/home always stopped me from taking the leap. My mom bought me this one for Christmas. I watched a lot of YouTube videos before using.

A lot of people recommended doing a “dry run” on the air fryer before cooking food in it for the first time. 400 degrees for 10-20 minutes is supposed to burn off that plastic smell. I did it twice and didn’t feel like it worked (also, open your windows if you can) Next I tried the lemon juice vinegar trick.

Get two oven safe containers. Fill them both with 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar and 1 TBS of lemon juice. Place one container in each side and run your air fryer for 10 minutes on 400 degrees. You may have to repeat the treatment.

I did it twice (washed everything in between treatments) The first thing I made was tater tots. Sprayed the basket with oil olive and cooked according to package instructions. Was not disappointed. I got crispy tots that did not taste/smell like plastic.

They did not stick to the bottom either! A few days later I successfully made popcorn shrimp and corn dogs. 75 shrimp pieces fit on side one, and four corn dogs fit into side two. No bad smells or tastes! Don’t let those other reviews scare you.

The treatment really works. Best Christmas gift ever.

The instructions for this air fryer are really straightforward and easy to understand. Basically, you remove all the packing, hand wash and dry the crisping tray and the fry pot, then find a level surface for your unit.

Then you place the crisping tray inside of the fry pot. The crisping tray has little silicone feet on it, mine were not seated correctly when it first arrived and it’s really imperative to have them on correctly so you don’t mess up the non-stick coating.

It’s a snug fit when placing the crisping tray into the fry pot. Next, you are ready to cook. The first thing I did after cleaning and assembly was the optional running of the machine to reduce the new-machine smells.

This machine is extremely strong smelling and definitely needed the pre-running. As far as actually cooking in it, this machine is super easy to use. There is a dial for temperature and a dial for time.

Plus, it comes with a simple cookbook which is super nice. Preparing food and following the recipes are very easy. You can choose the temperature on the dial and then choose the appropriate time on the timer.

The timer can be used counter-clockwise to reduce the time until it auto-shuts off. This is a little harder to do than I thought it would be. There are two lights on the unit, the green when its on it indicates that the unit is heating up and it shuts off when it’s gotten up to temperature.

The orange light shows that the timer is set and running. When it goes down to zero, it shuts off. If you need to look at the food or flip it at any time, you can just pull the fry pot right out and take a look or flip it, then replace the fry pot.

Once the timer is done, you’re supposed to wait until you don’t hear the food frying then you’re ready to take it out (let it cool), and then eat. The entire process is very straightforward. Cleanup is really easy, once the machine is cooled down you just wash the fry pot and crisping tray by hand and let them dry, then replace back in the unit.

Wipe the outside with a damp cloth if necessary. The overall sound isn’t overly loud it sounds like a fan running with a timer ticking. The unit itself is pretty small, but the cord isn’t too short to fit nicely on my counter.

Plus, the machine looks nice just sitting there. All in all, this is a really nice air fryer! It’s very easy and straightforward to use, it looks nice, and it works well! I would absolutely recommend it!.

This is a product that does what it’s supposed to do flawlessly. The build quality seems decent and the unit is well put together. You can easliy lift the whole unit by the handle and move it around.

The size of the frying pan is pretty much comparable to other similar air fryers in the market. I could fry fry 8 average-size russet potatoes without hitting the recommended limit by the instructions.

For frying times, I wouldn’t totally count on the recommended times on the device, insteade, I suggest keeping your eyes on the food to prevent possible over-frying. Overall, the build quality seems good and it worked smoothly and without a problem.

* I would add that there’s been a concern regarding the release of some particles, especially the one relating to non-stick pans, in the market for air fryers. I recommend you do your research on the topic before committing to this type of frying.

Over the last couple years, I have been fortunate to use a variety of air fryers. From the bucket styles to the larger oven size. It really is true, things just taste better in the air fryer. For starters, the turn style knob on the front is a welcome change from all the other bucket fryers that all seem to be exactly the same.

It feels sturdy and long lasting. When it comes to cooking, the results were consistent. As long as you don’t over fill the bucket, it provides an even cook all around. My one negative (and this is consistent with most bucket fryers) is that you CAN NOT fill the bucket to the top with fries.

It simply does not cook them well, and definitely does not get them crunchy. Even though they love to post the full bucket picture on the box, I do not recommend it.

We have had a couple airfryers, the Tfal Actifry and the Instant Pot; This thing blows those ones out of the water!! I love that we can cook so much at once, and that we can cook multiple things at once.

I really like the dual feature that allows me to toss everything into the unit at once and if one item needs 20 minutes and the other needs 15 minutes, it simply turns on the first one and delays the second by the 5 minutes.

This way, everything always finishes at the same time. This is so handy for me, a busy mom who easily gets distracted; I can just toss it all in, put the settings in and walk away until it chimes at me [and it auto shuts-off and cools down if I’m busy].

We have baked a meatloaf, crisped up sweet potato fries, made bacon. and it’s even allowed us to get rid of our toaster as we can make toast in it! I have already suggested that everyone I know get one of these LOL.

it’s just such a handy unit! It has eliminated the need for numerous cooking devices.

We had never used an air fryer before, and this one appealed to me because it can also bake, roast, air broil, reheat and dehydrate. It is a perfect size for cooking for two. We’ve had it about a month and probably have used it 14 times.

Everything from steaks, hamburgers, chicken, pork chops and many vegetables plus frozen foods. It took us awhile to figure out timing – it cooks faster than we anticipated. The unit did come with a small user guide and “cookbook”, but I ended up buying a few more air fryer cookbooks online at other sites.

We are very happy with the unit. The only issue: it does get hot, so when we use it we make sure it is at least 6″ away from backsplash or walls, and we unplug it when not in use. It is also somewhat loud – our kitchen/family room is open concept and it can clearly be heard throughout the family room when it is in use.

But, those are minor complaints compared to our overall satisfaction. So happy I decided to purchase it!.

I have a four year old Power XL af and love it. I was watching the TSV presentation, my son came in the room, and started watching with me. He loves to eat and he asked me if I wanted a new one for my birthday, so of course I said YES! The turquoise color got me as it matches my Kitchenaid mixer and retro toaster.

I’ve made chicken, pork chops, fish, assorted vegetables, frozen food, reheated, and everything turned out delicious. Going to roast chicken legs and potatoes tomorrow I rearranged my counter stuff just for this as I use it almost every day.

Much easier to clean than the double basket of the other one. It is worth every penny, and the free s&h didn’t hurt. My old one still works, and my son is going to give it to a friend. I don’t belong to Costco, and the appliance color does matter to me, too.

I bought an air fryer on a whim from my local walmart last night and it changed my life! I’ve used it four times thus far on frozen items and its worked great. I’ve been hesitant for years to purchase an air fryer because I assumed it was all hype and the cost were too high.

Now that costs are more reasonable and a known decently quality brand (Ninja) is offering them I decided it was time. So far so good, but I know time will tell. The unit itself looks great and isn’t too big to park on the counter long term.

I read some bad reviews for air fryers of a different brand and here’s my thoughts – The ninja does give off a moderately strong chemical odor smell while it cooks. That appears to be normal across all fryers and quite honestly I prefer that smell over the heavy greasy smokey smell that fills the house for hours after a traditional fry on the stovetop, in the oven, or a deep fryer.

The smell fully dissipates in about 40 minutes in a two story house with closed windows. Next, the machine cooks fast! One of the meals I cooked had air fryer instructions. I followed them but my food was ready five minutes earlier than the boxes instructions.

I decided to cut the time frame on all the other meals I made and its worked so far. My suggestion is to keep an eye on your food and reduce the cook time by 15-20% or lower the temperature. The machine has been super easy to clean, but I havent made any messy meals yet.

Just rinse under cool/warm water and whip out while the pan is still warm. Or do a gentle soap scrub after cooking raw meats or every other use of pre-cooked frozen items. I would recommend using a soft sponge instead of an abrasive scrubber that will probably scratch off the non stick liner.

All in all I’m happy bought this brand.

I am disappointed in this air fryer and am returning it. The biggest issue is the smell that it emits when in use. It is a very annoying odor and even after using the unit for some time, it doesn’t go away.

There are two design issues that I wish it had. First of all, there is no auto shut off when you remove/replace the basket while using it. You have to hit “pause” and then “start” once you shake your food as directed.

The biggest issue I have with it is that you are unable to manually set/change the temperature in order to customize it. There are air fryers from other manufacturers that incorporate the ability to set the temperature and time manually as well as use the presets.

Ninja does not offer any accessories for this unit either. This is the first Ninja product that I have purchased which did not meet my expectations.

I tried the ninja foodi grill air fryer. It did not grill, difficult to use took up to much room. This ninja is perfect ! I researched for months. I did not want auto settings. This one you set your temp, and cook time easily.

The time/ temp chart comes with it. Important as every machine is different. Trying on line recipes I discovered you need to go by your machines temp/ time not random recipies. I do not use spray can oils.

I just rub or brush oil on. Not everything requires oil either. Boneless chicken/ pork with just simple spices come put perfectly. browned, moist tender and taste like chicken & pork ! No marinade sauces needed.

Fresh or frozen. Can add peppers onion toward end of cooking. Home fries perfect. add onion last 5 min. I don’t really use pre made frozen food. 1/2 inch bobeless pork chop. 14 min perfection. Clean up simple.

Spray with Dawn powerwash spray. rinse. Or spray with dawn put a i little water in while you eat, will be cool enough to rinse. No scrubbing. Takes as long as rinsing a plate. I do not put in dishwasher as past experience with non stick , it does not hold up as well.

I steam my fresh veggies in microwave while protein is in ninja. Not a fan of grilled / air fried veggies. You can slide basket in and out and machine keeps working with temp and time no resetting like some other machines.

Also found i don’t need to flip most items. Both sides brown. A simple shake of the basket prevents sticking and need to do for fries, home fries etc. I also chose the white one. no finger prints etc show as with stainless.

I am delighted with this product. In the first place, when I placed the order a few minutes before 8 pm, it did not make the next day delivery, which was understandable. When I telephoned to ask when I could expect it, the lady was lovely and very helpful.

I only wanted to know because I had to go out and didn’t want to miss it. I wasn’t complaining. I explained that I was happy to have it the following day etc. Their customer service was excellent. When the fryer was delivered, I was impressed from the start.

It has a feel of ‘quality’ about it. It is sturdy compared to the acitfy I used to have which felt ‘plasticy’ and flimsy. The fryer is nothing like that. I found it very easy to use and it produces excellent results.

Basically, all you have to do is pop the food in and press the function you want, usually ‘air fry’ and it defaults to 200 degrees for 20 minutes. That actually is clever as a lot of things require that setting.

Obviously, times can be adjusted to accommodate how well done you want your food etc. I found sausages were fine after about 12 minutes and well done in 15 at 200. Frozen fish, breaded chicken etc all came out perfect.

I love sweet potato chips and again, these were fine after about 20 mins at 190. It is great for bagged oven chips which are pre oiled. They just go in straight from the bag and come out perfect. You can press match and have the two zones to exactly she same thing or sync to have the different zones do different things but finish at the same time.

It is very versatile. If you start cooking in zone 1 and decide to pop something in zone 2, just press 2 and the function you want, then times and temperature as normal. I won’t spend ages describing my cooking enterprises.

Suffice is to say that you will find it easy, convenient, economical and the food is very tasty. Everyone will simply adapt to suit their own indivdual tastes, preferences etc. I am very impressed with Ninja and would not hesitate to investigate and purchase more of their products.

Not only are the products of excellent quality, but Ninja also will go the second mile to accommodate and assist their customers. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant kitchen gadget. I wanted something that would give us lower fat options because i have gall bladder trouble. My husband likes a gadget and this is really easy to use, cooks quicker than a conventional oven, and has great results.

He ALWAYS uses this when it’s his turn to cook because it is so quick and easy (cleaning is also easy, and it’s greener with lower energy use than an oven). What’s not to like?! There are lots of guides online for recipes using an air fryer, plus the booklet provided is also very good.

We have successfully cooked: a full roast chicken (medium sized), just salt and pepper and no extra fat – 1 hour, came out perfect with lovely crispy skin. Roast potatoes and chips (both home made and frozen), roasted carrots, sausages, pigs in blankets, salmon steaks, chicken wings, ham and cheese toasties.

The roast chicken was best of all – just lovely, but not sure you could fit a bigger chicken than medium in here (but hey you could do 2 medium chickens at once!) We do not regret buying this at all.

Plenty of space to easily cook meals for 4 people. Get one, and experiment with it, it’s hard to go wrong. These are bound to become standard kitchen equipment in the future.

Since purchasing the Ninja AF300 dual air-fryer we have become converts to air-frying. In this difficult financial climate, having a fuel efficient cooking machine is very important. Make no mistake, the food takes just as long to cook but there is no warm up period while the air-fryer comes to full heat before you can do anything.

Put the food in, press a couple of buttons, and you are good to go We have tried some of our old favourites and have been surprised at how much more crisp and flavoursome everything is whereas, in a conventional oven, although very tasty, food could be slightly moist.

A good example is cheese-filled fishcakes, in the oven they could be slightly soggy; in the air-fryer they come out really crisp. The AF300 is great for two people, the AF400 is much bigger. As necessary extras, you should buy, silicone ended tongs so as not to damage non-slip finish, racks to lift the food for accessibility and better air-circulation, and some silicone liners to minimise on mess and washing up.
