Two failures at first. First effort glued well, but the dishwasher (too soon?) ruined my effort. Second effort failed because I didn’t clean the surface from left over glue from failed first attempt.

Third time worked well. I probably won’t chance dishwasher. Too much effort! It is evidently a sensitive substance. In all three attempts I used the substance generously, ignoring the suggested amount per square inch.

I think this rule of thumb is not helpful. My surface, a broken glass foot was very narrow and not long. But I decided to at least touch the entire surface with the glue.

Loctite has always been my go to for adhesives. so when I had to glue a glass post to brass, I knew it was not going to be easy to find anything that would work. WRONG! After cleaning both pieces (brass with sandpaper, and glass with alcohol) I put one drop of Loctite Glass Glue on the brass, and pressed the glass on it for 60 seconds.

Then I let it cure for 24 hours. Perfect repair, solid as a rock!.

I’ve had mixed results with Loctite products in the past. It seems as though they require an exacting procedure and a certain type of break in order to work correctly. This “glass-repair” variation, though, worked quite well to repair a difficult break — a delicate extrusion on a glass sculpture.

After a week — and another blow to the repaired area that I feared might have caused the repair to fail — it’s held up pretty well. So I was pretty happy with the results.

Blue Streak points and condensers are the best. Great quality and coming from Lowbrow you know you’ll get it fast.

Seems to be of decent quality. Have yet to run the bike with it installed but great fitment otherwise.

Well, when applying this balm your lips feel very fresh, I applied it every time I feel that my lips are dry, my lips are dry, I have not been able to test it in cold weather, so I do not know if it works well at that time of year.

Carmex really is an addiction. Just like coffee, caffeine and cigarettes. I’m one of the unlucky ladies with a Carmex addiction. I don’t find myself unlucky unless I don’t have any and can’t leave to get any.

I have to have it! I’ve been using lipliner lately and I apply it to my lips like lipstick and put a little Carmex over the front and you wouldn’t believe how cute lipliner/carmexâ„¢ï¸ is. Anyways, I never get any cold sores in the winter or summer time.

I’ve got the softest lips ever because their ALWAYS Hydrated with carmex. That’s my problem with trying to buy a lipstick or a lip gloss because I can’t stop wearing my Carmex anything else I wipe off immediately and I apply my carmex no matter how much I paid for it! Carmex can be used when you have a cold or blow your nose too much put a dab under your nose rub it in and it’ll heal up soon and it won’t hurt anymore.

Whoever made Carmex deserves everything because it’s the best thing to apply to your lips don’t apply chapstick, Carmex is the only thing that works. I love the smell, I don’t care for the taste when I put too much on but, I’m used to it! If I was stuck on an island a tub of Carmex would be on my list.

Not the scented new kinds either. Only the original Carmex formula! II prefer the jars or sticks.

These things are great, but make sure you are not an eejit like me, and do purchase the appropriate point driver beforehand! This is a refill! How did I miss that? Anyway, the point driver that goes with it works very well and is easy to use, and I do recommend the flexible points to let you change your mind about framing.

I have been using these for years and love them. If it’s a piece you are framing that you never plan to change, the stiff points are fine. But I am an artist and tend to take things in and out of frames.

The stiff points will break after bending twice. The flexible ones are perfect. I like having some of both.

Had a Fletcher framing gun for several years (20+), and when it finally broke was heartbroken I couldn’t find the same gun. I finally settled on the Fletcher, and have loved it. It works great and is very economical.

I like having the option of the flex points or the rigid ones.

It dies seal doors if you clean and sand first and use 2-3 coats. A spot where a dog had been urinating smelled so bad. i sanded, used cleaner let dry and coated it as I mentioned,2-3 times. Never smelled again.

This is so much easier than polyurethane. If it begins to wear,all you do is sand lightly and reapply. Never a need to sand it all off. Touch up or recoat is so easy.

This Dewaxed Shellac is great stuff. It seals wood making me use less top coats. It works with both oil and water based finished. It keeps well in the can and is good stuff. IT slightly darkens the wood and gives a slight amber glow which I like.

Turns white maple to a warm tone. I use on my CNC projects by itself to keep down splintering and to help mask when I paint with acrylic paint and helps keep paint from soaking up the fibers of wood during paint.

Purchased this to seal an already finished high quality wardrobe that had a musty smell. Used as directed. States specifically it seals odors in. Absolutely no improvement. Had the orginal odor now combined with the odor of the shellac.

Very disappointing and sold the piece.

I like this chapstick, it’s minty and has a cooling feeling when applying. I know it’s also a common brand and product. I’ve used this when my lips are very dry and cracked. This helps when my lips feel like falling off.

It’s also a bit bigger so you won’t lose it easily. Only complaint is you have to apply with your fingers and it gets the product all over your hands and sometime can be a bit messy but this is still a great product.

My friend recommeded for me this brand in winter time. Wow it small size but big result. Its smell is mint. That is cool. My lips are saved in cold weather but two thing inconvenient are using finger and too much for one jar so it takes time to use.

If you have super chapped lips like I do in winter then that’ll be the best time for you to start using this product. If you start out with light or no chapping then it’ll just ruin your natural lip quality and make it dryer than usual when not using the product.

Use this lip balm in the winter and ease it out during the spring/summer. Other than that, it really does nicely moisturize my lips and leave them feeling soft. If you’re going to wear a matte lipstick (year round) I would put a little of this on, pat it in immediately and then put your lipstick on.

NO dryness, NO settling in lines, and NO smudging. I’ve tried it with all lipsticks (liquid and traditional) and it’s my go-to technique! The scent is always so refreshing yet neutral and packaging is small enough to fit in a pocket but holds so much.

Definitely worth the price! I would go with this formula and style rather than the just because that one seems to be a little more drying for some reason and it’s easier to apply this is any amount you’d like without waste.

When I weld, I like to have a clean shop. I typically use acetone to clean oil, marker and and surface residue off steel before a fabrication project. It cleans up the steel so I don’t have blackened hands and work surfaces.

It makes it easier for me to scribe my own markings on the metal so I can see them on a clean surface. I also like to use the this again after welding is complete to clean the metal before I apply a finish.

This Klean Strip acetone perfomed exactly as expected.

I currently run a little tumbler / epoxy creation system in my house to make custom gifts for friends and family. One of the downsides to this, is when I make a mistake, I have to strip the tumbler. This proves to be difficult, especially with regular acetone.

I have tried this product and it strips with ease. I do ensure I prepare an area to work because I do not want to strip other areas, causing destruction to surrounding property. The packaging is also good and does not leak, which is a huge factor for me.

I bought this when I was out of town on a weekend bc orajel wasn’t working and I was in intense pain. throbbing, severe pain in my jaw and entire side of my face. (Later learned I needed a root canal.

) The instructions say to place the soaked cotton pellet in the tooth cavity without touching the surrounding tissue. Because I didn’t have a cavity in which to place the pellet, I gently smushed the pellet against the tooth where it touched the tooth behind it.

It took away enough of the pain and throbbing where I could function on a normal level. I will definitely purchase more of this to keep on hand for future needs. Because of the way I was applying this, some of the oil got in the corner of my mouth and on my tongue and made it feel like my mouth was on fire for a minute.

It left part of my bottom lip badly chapped. DO NOT SWALLOW. this stuff is nasty to taste!.

When it comes to toothaches, sadly I have a lot of experience trying everything under the sun. one thing that has always, ALWAYS worked is Clove Oil. Thats what this stuff is–Eugenol is what gives Clove Oil such a great reputation as a toothache remedy.

its natural, and for me has worked wonders when nothing else would. This kit comes with a small bottle, some cotton pellet things and some tweezers. you can use a q-tip instead if you have that. same idea–just dab it on the tooth itself, or if you can reach whatever spot on said tooth is causing you the most pain, put it there.

Be careful not to get too much on your gums as clove oil does burn, and tastes nasty but hey, its a small price to pay compared to the pain!.

I don’t know what I did to my tooth but it hurt so much I couldn’t even sleep. Ordered this, applied it, and it provided instant relief that lasted through the night. If you get it on your lips, gums, or other soft tissue it does burn but my experience was not as bad as others who posted.

it stings a bit but nothing major. I skipped using the little cotton balls and applied it with a Q-tip (following the instructions so product won’t drip). I found it much easier to apply this way and I didn’t get any of it on soft tissue this time so zero burn.

Others have complained about the taste, which isn’t pleasant but if you keep it only on the tooth the taste is minimal and again not that bad. The smell isn’t bad either. It’s made from cloves and that’s how it smells.

Well worth the money and does exactly what it claims it will do. If you are looking for real pain relief from a severe toothache, do yourself a favor and get this product. It is nothing short of amazing!.

Not sure if I just got a bad can sprayer but the product spit small globs onto my prepared desktop. Caused more work in having to sand the whole thing down again. Will have to buy the traditional can and paint brush- should have just gone that route from the get go.

Expensive lesson. Am I able to return this used?.

I wanted to refinish an old rocking horse for my granddaughter and was planning on using General Finishes, water based dye. After watching a great video by Marc Spagnuolo from the Wood Whisperer about water based wood dyes, he pointed out some possible problems with applying oil based finishes over water based wood dyes.

Strongly suggest people watch this particular video and all his other videos. He suggested spraying/using Zinsser Clear Spray Shellac over the water based dye first to prevent the dye from lifting. Took his advice and used the spray shellac.

Finished the rocking horse with a nice old based coating and it came out great. Recommend this product.

This is the only lip care treatment that I trust use on a daily. I keep multiple tubes sticks of Carmex in my purse, the diaper bag, my makeup bag (the mint one in the photo) multiple ones in my car for me and my kids.

Most chapsticks and lip balms don’t do it for me. Even after repeated and oftentimes vigorous application, Burt’s Bees, regular Carmex, and vaseline lip balm don’t stop my lips from drying out. Paraben-free and made with 93% natural origin content, this Carmex Comfort gets the job done.

As you can tell from the photo in the upper left corner, my lips were dry, cracked, and peeling. I don’t know the last time my lips didn’t look like that. In the photos where my lips look healthier and moisturized, I am wearing nothing but this Carmex.

It hydrates well and absorbs into the skin nicely. Sometimes chapsticks have more of a waxy texture and they’re too thick to fully absorb into the skin, but not this one! It feels more like a lip oil or a hydrating gloss.

I’ve only ever tried this Carmex product in the Watermelon flavor because it’s nostalgic and therefore greatly enjoyable to smell and apply. It reminds me of a Lip Smacker I had when I was a kid! Amazing product in my opinion.

You can see the red mark that’s a scar from when my lips were constantly peeling and cracking, but other than that, my lips are so much better off. Highly recommend!.

Been using this lip balm for more than 15 years. I always have one in my purse and one in my bathroom, next to my toothbrush. Salicylic acid helps by exfoliating my lips, and the petrolatum keeps the moisture sealed in.

I apply it right after brushing my teeth and I don’t need to reapply until the next time I brush my teeth. In the morning, I rub my lips with a towel and the dead skin cells come right off. I’ve tried so many lip balms, and Carmex still provides the smoothest base for lipstick/tint.

Important when using matte lipsticks. I’m not sensitive to lanolin, menthol, or camphor, and I enjoy the cooling, tingling sensation this lip balm leaves. If you are highly allergic, then best avoid this.

This strawberry is my favorite out of all the flavors available. I like the fact that it has SPF 15, but I’m not sure how well it really protects. This stick is also my favorite version. The tube doesn’t seem to moisturize as well, and the tin is not as sanitary.

I will still keep on trying new lip balms, but I’ll always have Carmex as back up. Sometimes, price doesn’t mean that we’re getting the best, and this seems to be true with lip balms. The cheaper ones work better! During winter, I top it off with Aquaphor, for extra protection.

I am a bit fussy with my lip balms. I have tried a few in my day. don’t really like many of the Hurraw balms. don’t like Nivea. blistex is good, but. so so. lucus papaw ointment in the red tube is pretty good but.

I wanted to try something new I was nervous to buy this product. never seen it. never heard of it. don’t know anyone that uses it. I read the reviews here. checked the ingredients, which many of them I like.

particularly beeswax and camphor. very glad I took the $5 risk! it is nice and thick because of the beeswax. will soften in warm conditions, otherwise stays nice and firm but pliable. live the zing from the camphor, slight vanilla smell, and balmy beeswax.

fixed my VERY chapped lips. lasts well, even while wearing a mask all day at work. it feels like a nice waxy matte balm should, acting a barrier from outside elements while locking in and maintaining your inner natural lip hydrations.

Our family has been using Elmex products for a while, they contain high level fluoride (that is still important) and are good for teeth. Several dentists have recommended these, although I did my own research for the best ingredients.

Recommendation by a dentist. Good for the gums better than a mouthwash

First time to buy this product at Canadian Tire. Normally buy the same product but in a small container at the cigarette stores. Checked this product and works perfectly for my refillable lighters. Now I don’t have to keep on buying as this one is bigger than what I used to buy with the same price.

Great lighter fluid. It actually performs better than the lighter fluid that originally came in my grill lighter. No wasteful runoff noted during the refilling process of my grill lighter. I will definitely purchase this product again.

Like others I was seduced by the “ultra premium” however, in refilling Irodo as well as three other butane lighters I have this fuel is foul. my “work” and cigar torches would not light, once emptied and refilled with a ronson the Irodo worked great, my cigar torch is now pooched.

Do not but this fuel, save yourself the headache.

I ordered it to crush bigger pills. On this Pill Crusher, the design is NOT sufficient to do much crushing; it IS NOT a strong unit. Pill crusher was weakened when it was made smaller & design changed to incorporate a little drink cup for taking pills.

Unit can only crush tiny- small pills, but NOT bigger tablets, as then the lid won’t fit over it – to turn it; so what good is that ! Their older larger, stronger pill crusher (one with the teeth) is very hard to find.

Also advertising is not accurate, it simply CAN NOT do the job.

I bought 3 pill crushers that did not do well with my father-in-laws vitamins, which are really hard pills. I was almost ready to fork out $80. For a commercial grade pill crusher. Thank goodness I found this one, it did the trick.

Ive used so many pill cutters (I really dont use the crusher) and I had this exact one for many years. I wanted an extra but this one was hard to find, and when I found it, it was more money than the others I had been looking at.

Well, I tried 3 cheap ones- one that looked similar to this, and 2 that were the flat kind. None of them cut my pills equally. I wasted money on the cheap ones. This was worth EVERY PENNY! Its just as great as my very old one.

IšverstiShow in original languageI got the TP-Link N300 Travel Router (without the USB port) specifically for my Xbox One S. I didn’t expect it to be this good! My university uses an indirect wi-fi login system (we connect to the open university network, which brings up an internet page asking us to login with our university ID and password to authenticate — similar in system to most hotels and airports), which the Xbox can’t handle.

So I decided to create a small internal network in my room that has its own SSID and password. I went with a mini router rather than just a range extender because this mini router has greater functionality for around the same price as most extenders.

Size: As you can see in my pictures, the length/width is a little more than that of two quarters side-by-side, and the thickness of 3/4ths a quarter. I was surprised by how small it was when I opened it.

Accessories: It comes with an ethernet cable, USB charger, wall adapter (though this is a bit clunky for modern standards), travel pouch, Wi-fi Info Card, and the standard instructions. Setup: Quick and easy, though you’ll need to have a computer (I’m not sure if it works on a smartphone/tablet) to access the setup page.

It took me about five minutes to set mine up in Access Point Mode. Basically, you plug in the router for your preferred mode as per the image/instructions. You then connect to your router from your computer using the password on the Wi-Fi Info Card and go to tplinkwifi(dot)net to do a quick setup.

Here you can choose what mode you want to use the router in, change your SSID, password, etc. Then reboot to reconfigure the router. Modes: There are five modes — two for travel and three for at home use.

I went with the Access Point (AP) Mode for my uses, but I probably could have just gone ahead with the default Wireless Router mode. The ethernet port in my room was too far away from my Xbox to use Client mode.

Regardless, it’s working great. I’ve attempted to give explanations for the different modes below, but I’m not particularly knowledgeable in this so please correct me if there are any inaccuracies. For Travel: 1.

Wireless Router (default): Basically, it turns a wired internet connection wireless. 2. Hotspot Router: I would best describe this as taking an open (and unsecured) wi-fi connection and making it password protected (personal hotspot).

The router takes the unsecured wi-fi connection and creates a secured wi-fi/wired connection, and you can have one device connected directly to the router and have the rest of your devices using your protected wi-fi at the same time.

Useful for connecting to the internet in public places like cafes. I believe it’s also great for hotel rooms where only one device can use the internet per room. Connect this and all your devices can use the internet.

For Home: 3. Range Extender: Similar in nature to the Hotspot Router Mode — it goes wi-fi to wi-fi, except this mode uses your home’s network and maintains the same password as your home’s AP. It’s to extend your home’s wi-fi to reach any wi-fi dead spots in your house (like the attic or basement, or that weird corner of the room where you like to huddle and binge watch Netflix but just happens to be the same place where wi-fi connectivity is super sketch and the video never loads).

You can use the router for both wired and wi-fi connections simultaneously. 4. Client: Sort of the opposite of the Wireless Router mode — this takes a wi-fi network and makes it wired so that devices that don’t have wi-fi capabilities can connect to the internet.

It’s great for smart TVs, game consoles, printers. 5. Access Point: Same as the Wireless Router mode, takes a wired network and makes it wi-fi. Speed: There wasn’t really any compromises made with the download speed.

My university has incredibly fast wi-fi (though my dorm isn’t as fast as our libraries), so I’m glad that wasn’t sacrificed. The upload speeds weren’t as consistent, but still not bad. You can see the speed test results in my pictures.

Overall, I’m really liking this mini router. The size is perfect for travel (it’s smaller than my Macbook Pro’s MagSafe adapter…!), and the setup was straightforward. Definitely a recommended buy.

If this means anything to you, I wanted to use a DMR radio via a Shark Openspot, and go out portable. It works very well indeed. If that is “gobbledegook”, don’t worry, accept that it worked very well for me.

This is not perhaps a common configuration, but the Nano did the job well, offering “client mode” to do so. Radio Amateurs are using this exact same router the world over for this purpose. (In fact, my American friends told me which one to get).

I measured the electricity it was taking, (often less than 0. 1 amps at 5 volts) which was good for the portable, battery operated mode I planned. It is very small, again, ideal for portable operation.

Setup was very problematic, until the penny dropped, I was trying to configure it from the ethernet port (connected on my home LAN) but it is necessary to log into it via WiFi,, at which point it worked first time.

I would highly recommend it for the mode I used it in, but have not tried the other modes. Can’t see why it would not work well. Build quality is good, and all the necessary cables and a mains power plug are included in a box that affords good protection to the unit.

Now my local friends are ordering Nanos as well. !.

Just log into it like any other router. 3) save the card that comes with the unit for setup/reset, it shows the default SSID (network name) & password.

Setup: 1) plug into USB to power on (flashing green light). 2) pull up list of available networks (SSID’s) on your device. Look for the TP-Link name on the card or back of Nano router, then select it.

When asked enter the password (shown on card). You can change these later. You are now logged into the router. You’ll need to do this on each device you want to access the nano router. To set up the router proceed to step 3 (only needs to be done once unless you want to change things later.

) 3) Open a browser on the device & enter tplinkwifi. net on the URL line. A login screen will appear. Enter the user name (default=admin) & password (default=admin). The router setup screen appears where you can select how you want to use the router (i.

e. Router, Hotspot, etc. ), the primary Network you want to log into (i. e. McDonalds), the Nano’s SSID name, passwords & etc. ) Close out of setup. You’re done & ready to go. Signal strength is good.

Distance is about an 18’ radius from the Nano so best to place in middle of motel room. So why use a Nano if your motel room or McDonalds already gives you WiFi? Answer: Security!!! These public WiFi’s can easily be hacked giving the hackers access to your devices.

The Nano offers its own encryption blocking hackers. Plus, once you have with installed on each of your devices you only need to log the Nano into the public network instead of each of your devices (for us that’s 4 devices, 2 phones & 2 tablets).

Remodel construction here, doing primarily carpentry. Been using the laser for 9 months, and I use it CONSTANTLY. I don’t even pack a stick level anymore. I’m writing this for potential buyers as well as Milwaukee as some hopeful advice for better iterations of the tool in the future.

CONS: -It overheats quite easily. If I’m using it outdoor in the summer to do siding/framing, it can’t handle more than an hour or two before it won’t turn on. This is the biggest complaint I have. It totally freezes my progress at the peak production time in the day.

Sometimes it doesn’t even take direct sunlight. If it’s in my hot pickup or a packout that’s in the sun it’ll be too much for it. -True to what others have said, the magnets don’t cut it. Other laser levels I’ve used have been lighter, so the magnets could handle the weight.

This won’t hold the weight of the laser on metal drywall cornerbead, which is by far the most versatile and useful place for me to stick it in the home for remodel construction. If the cornerbead is plastic, my last laser was lighter, and the magnet would even stick to drywall screws underneath paint and mud.

I know this laser is more powerful, and will need to be heavier. Gold standard would be for the magnets to be strong enough to hold the weight on a sunk drywall screw. -It seems like the pros they were targeting are commercial/industrial guys, with steel everywhere to attach to.

Good for those guys. Residential construction just doesn’t seem to be as considered in this product with the lack of versatile ways to affix this laser wherever you need. PROS: -Light is bright. I can see it in full daylight (I sometimes may have to shade the line a bit, but it’s infinitely better than a red line.

-Battery life. Green line means more battery used, but the battery will last several days of intermittent use. No more disposable batteries! -Build quality. It’s sturdy, it’s had a handful of small drops (because the darn magnets) and it’s in perfect condition still.

-Micro adjust is *chef’s kiss* MISC: -If the product design team can’t figure the magnet situation out, at least offer a spring clamp system to attach to the laser to clamp on things. Laser stands are an additional expense and they only go so high, it would be nice to be able to clamp to a 2×4 or something.

Help a carpenter out!.

Bought two of these. Finally a lasers that looked tough, by my favorite brand Milwaukee. The tool itself isn’t bad, but what is the point on putting such cheap magnets on a so expensive laser. No problem with buy spending money on quality stuff, but why not puting a 2$ more expensive on a quality magnet? It’s like if there’s no magnet at all.

Milwaukee could have been a lot better by putting a convenient magnet. I am a carpenter and 80% of the time, I put the laser on a gyproc corner, scaffold or a round post. The other 20%, I put it on a flat table/beam or else.

Even on a round post directly on steel, the laser tends to fall down. I bought magnets on amazon, trying to fix it, but there is no way it can work properly. These lasers are returning straight where I bought them and I am looking forward to a huepar on amazon.

Tired of spending so much money on lasers (other marks are not better by the way) DO NOT BUY THESE LASERS if you don’t work directly on squared steel stud or beams. A big fail from Milwaukee for launching a new laser, I don’t feel like Milwaukee were awared of the needs of professionnals on that one.

Milwaukee could have seized a very good opportunity, because there is no tough laser rechargeable on the market right now.

Received laser last weekend. I Install hardware and some carpentry in large commercial apartment buildings. Long story short, the laser holder is not even close to being strong enough to hold itself up on drywall corner-bead.

This is common practice. Why even say it’s magnetic? Twice as expensive as a similar dewalt offering that sticks like glue to anything ferrous. Works OK on metal studs, but in a workplace setting things get bumped and banged on, and I wouldn’t trust it.

I’m not impressed. It would have cost milwaukee less than $4 to throw a magnet on that actually sticks.
