As soon as I saw the news that Satechi released the Aluminum Stand & Hub for the iPad Pro, I placed the order immediately before brushing my teeth in the morning. Shipping was fast and I received it through USPS yesterday (less than 48 hours after I placed my order).
I tested all the ports last night and everything works like a charm! The aluminum case makes it feel like something worth more than $100! I was hoping it would also come with space gray color to match with my new 2021 iPad Pro.
I did an entire unboxing and hands on video on my YouTube channel. You can search my channel under the name Nic Studio. This is my first product bought from Satechi and I absolutely love it!.
The concept is great, but I have 4 main issues; -the plug stores I’ll the bottom and the mechanics of it make it a tight fit. It’s hard to get it out. – the clips that store the cord are sharp and leave indents in the insulation.
– the stand only works in landscape. You can put the iPad in portrait, but the power cord only works in landscape. It would be nice if there was a way of recessing the connector for portrait. – some of the edges are on the sharp side.
I am afraid of tossing the stand in a bag with other things that might get scratched.

We had an immediate need to access an Android phone that had a display that randomly stopped working. This dongle enabled us to connect to the phone, hook up an HDMI cable to the dongle and a TV, plug in a USB keyboard and mouse, and access everything we needed to backup from the phone.
A real life saver! In addition, we have a newer Chromebook that for some reason does not have a HDMI port. Using this dongle, we can plug into USB-C and then connect a HDMI cable to display the screen on a large TV or projector.

I love my iMac Pro, but it’s in a location making rear port access not convenient. Enter the Clump Hub Pro. It quickly attached to the bottom of the iMac Pro providing convenient access to card readers, and USB A and C connectors.
I was surprised at how sturdy it attaches – there’s no wiggle at all. I’m impressed and using it daily. Go grab one for yourself!.
StayGo is an all-round USB-C hub for desktop connectivity, but also suitable for travel. StayGo allows you to connect to all previous ports on your previous MacBook. Perfect for backup hard disks, SD cards, for external HDMI displays, and much more.
The 1 meter cable makes it possible to manage or hide the resulting cable mess a little more effectively (e. g. by attaching it under the table edge). The built-in short USB cable is always available for travel.
Great little hub that is slim and portable yet also works in a desktop setup. Power Delivery works great with my new Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 and has just enough ports. Also works without a power adapter as just a USB hub (great for travel).
I was looking for one to use with external monitors (one USB and one HDMI) and also for something that was portable and connected via a detachable cable (this was one of the few I could find). It works great although it is pricey (doesn’t even come with a power adapter).
Only wish there were a Thunderbolt version with more bandwidth for higher refresh rates and USB C ports (luckily my laptop comes with two Thunderbolt ports). I ended up buying another Thunderbolt dock for desktop use (Anker Powerexpand Elite) but am still happy with this one and will keep it in my bag.
I am using it with a Ravpower 65W PD charger and it works great.
Really liking this USB Hub, its the best of the lot. I have 3 others here in my office and the StayGo is by far the most versatile hub of all of them. The longer cable for my desktop allows me to clear a massive amount of cable clutter off my desk, easily stored under my desk with soft Velcro dots leaving just one cable to connect to my MacBook.
This can also be removed and used on the go by disconnecting the cables and take with you when you need to leave the office. Build quality is really nice, feels and acts like a well build unit. Overall super happy with this purchase, just wish I found this a year ago!!.
Using with M1 Macbook air & it does the job very well. Your macbook charger plugs into the staygo so u still have a free port on the mba. Nice long usb cable included, plus a tiny one that tucks inside the unit for use on the go.
No problems with unit overheating. Wish it had 2 video outputs but still gd value unit.

Reviews From Real Customers
Good design. Light weight so its easy to take with you. All of the ports worked as they were supposed to. The SD and microSD card ports were a nice addition. Both USB, ports worked well as well as the HDMI port.
The cable could be a bit longer which would make it easier to plug into the back of the computer and have access to the ports a little easier. Other than that, Its a great device. I would recommend it to anyone.
This hub is extremely useful and very well made! It is very solid and does not feel flimsy at all. My laptop did not have enough ports and this makes it possible for me to plug in my monitor, hard drive and mouse all at the same time without any issues.
All items work great while plugged into this hub and I haven’t noticed any reduction in speed at all. This hub works great, and I’m very happy with it!.
Designed as per the latest industry standards Scores high on the aspect of functionality Sleek in terms of design Crafted to perfection, it will be an excellent pick for you. It stands out owing to its unique features.
Replaces what Apple eliminated. Makes handling tablet a little different but getting used to it. Fits my iPad Mini6 with Apple’s Smart Folio. The light next to the headphone plug port is a little annoying.
So far, it has a solid connection with the tablet. No wiggle or loose feeling. It charges tablet while using headphones. Have not used USB or HDMI ports.
The HyperDrive Docking Station for Apple iPad Pro’s actual capabilities deliver what the manufacturer claims. However, I have one major issue with this item. When I attach it to my iPad Pro it disconnects my magic keyboard.
I don’t mind the fact that I can’t use the keyboard. What really annoys me is the fact that it force the keyboard case off my iPad so the only way to use this drive is if my iPad is completely unprotected.
That makes the design for me a complete fail!!! If you have the magic keyboard do not buy this docking station.
Nice merge of primary connections in one adapter. I sometimes have difficulty charging when a jump drive is connected. I’m keeping it as I’m not too picky. It’s very rugged and sturdy, yet light weight.
I appreciate not having to dig for/confuse a bunch of other adapters.
Best selling ipad pro-2019 2018 usb-c hub] world’s most crowdfunded pad pro accessory and usb type c hub. Turns a single usb-c port into 6 ports on the ipad pro 2019/ 2018. With fingers trembling with excitement, I fitted my HyperDrive 6-in-1 USB-C hub to my brand new iPad Pro 12. 9” without any screen protector. I then plugged in a thumb drive (USB-A) to the hub. Nothing.
Swapped it with another drive (USB-C). Nada. Rummaging the rest of the box, I swapped out the thin edge grip thingamajig (for use without a screen protector) for the one with the thicker slot — that worked like a charm.
Added a hard glass screen protector and the wider slot was still able to accommodate the screen protector. My suggestion for the hub is to have a stronger attraction/grip on the iPad USB-C port, even though I know the quick detaching may be to provide a MagSafe-like safety feature.
And perhaps some retooling for the edge grip for use without screen protectors. Or perhaps having only a single width slot but have shims with adhesive strips that can be added or removed to suit screen protectors of different thicknesses.
This thing is really great! has a good selection of ports and, as with any other adaptor used for a one-port device, it’s great being able to plug in multiple things while charging the device. I use this specifically to plug in devices for my mobile iPad-based.
PSA though, unplug this thing when not using! My battery was at 94% this morning and is now at 13% despite not using the device all day. Not the product’s fault, as it makes sense (iPad is reading this thing all day even with nothing plugged in) but just be aware that your battery might drain if you have it plugged in all day.
Works Excellent! The micro SD card slot might not read at times but if you plug into the adapter and use the SD card slot it works absolutely fine. Another thing to note is if you try to access a file directly on the SD card using Files app it will delete the file of your memory card.
It is a glitch with apple file system and I’ve tested this across other USB C hubs as well with same behavior. The product feels very sturdy and comes with its own attachments to suite your needs. I use it with the magic keyboard and plugs right in with the provided “without screen gaurd” attachment and you can basically leave it on without no problems.
All the ports on here do work fine. Haven’t done stress testing yet. It’s definitely pricier compared to the competition but feels like custom tailoring for the ipad justified the price.
Easily fits in the palm of your hands Hi-Res 4K30Hz HDMI Experience crystal clear 4K30Hz HDMI video on compatible 4K monitors for brilliant high-resolution display. Requires a direct HDMI to HDMI connection.

Optimized for iPad Pro 2018 Perfect for MacBook Pro/Air and compatible with any USB-C device. Extended USB-C Cable Optimized for iPad Pro 2018. Allows hub to sit flat on table surface when connected to the iPad Pro.
Allows USB-C device to be charged while using the USB-C hub at the same time. 3. 5mm Audio Jack Does not disable iPad Pro internal speaker unless an audio device is connected.
Apparently every problem with my laptop has been due to this thing. When I plug this device in it makes a hissing noise. I didn’t notice this as I have a desk fan and recently tried it at home where I don’t have said fan.
This indicates there’s a short in the device somewhere. I’ve tried it on my tablet (at great personal risk), my work laptop, and now my personal laptop. All three have the same issues. As the device is running it will create a ton of heat and for some reason cause whatever you have it plugged into to overheat as well.
This has happened with a Mac, a PC and a Samsung Tablet. In the case of my windows laptop I use it for long enough periods of time that it will actually force a shutdown while not leaving records in the Event Viewer (power or BIOS shutting down to keep the processor from melting).
When it is unplugged it will make the same hissing noise. When any device at all is plugged into the device it will get hotter and hotter until it reaches a stable temperature at ‘uncomfortably warm’ (I’ve never measured it).
This is a bit anecdotal, but when I had it plugged in it seemed to make the computer run slower than normal. EX a download of the image editor GIMP took around 30 seconds without it vs it taking 1. 5 mins with.
Neither time was on WiFi. So if this was the cause this thing is messing hard with the motherboard. Unfortunately I didn’t catch that this was the problem as the laptop was one I’d recently gotten and didn’t know how it behaved.
So I’m outside the return policy. I hope I can dissuade some of you from buying this product.
In the past I have always used Dell laptops along with their port replicator docking stations. Place your laptop in the docking station and you have a “desktop computer. ” Dell has moved away from the docking station port replicators so as an alternative I am using the Hyper Drive 9 Port “Docking Station”.
The reality is you are plugging in cables for your peripheral devises such as printers, ethernet cables, external speakers and keyboards mouse & power supply etc. It is a cumbersome replacement for what once was an easy way to convert your laptop into a desktop computer.
It gets the job done with all of the cables plugged into the Hyperdrive “Docking Station” with only one USB-C plugged into the laptop. My Dell XPS laptop comes supplied with a 130 Watt power supply. The Hyperdrive “Docking Station” supplies only 110 watts of power.
My Dell XPS will gives an error message stating the power supply is a slow charger and plug in the factory supplied power supply. Under heavy usage such as Photo or video editing the power supply does not provide enough power and the battery does loose some of it’s charge.
The hyperdrive is a workaround for what once was a great system.
I recently gave my daughter my old PC which left me with nothing to use for myself, I do have my phone, a Galaxy S21 Ultra which is capable of Samsung Dex. It basically turns your phone into a desktop PC, and with the purchase of this docking station allows me to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse etc.
This dock station is perfect and has everything I need to get the desktop experience I normally would using a PC. I especially like the RJ45/ethernet connection for wired internet and also the ability to connect a usb-c charger to the dock to keep my phone charged and everything powered.
I highly recommend this to any Samsung user with a device capable of Dex and also to any one looking to expand the ports/connections for their laptops or chromebooks.
I needed a hub for work, and after visiting your name brand stores I decided to purchase this one from Harbor Freights. It was at least 20 dollars cheaper and had the same functions. I’ve used it for 3 weeks without any issues.
I should say that I had to exchange it the day I bought it because the first one did not work, there was an issue with the connector.
Compared to the other prices I’ve seen for this item it’s super affordable! Also it’s super fast and reliable. I’ve never bought a electronic cable from Harbor Freight, but after using this one I’m most definitely buying more! MUST BUY!!.
Get more out of your MacBook or USB-C Laptop’s port, with 3 extra USB-A ports. Transfer movies and music in seconds with 5 Gbps transfer speeds, and enjoy full-speed pass-through charging while using the hub, with USB-C Power Delivery.
I needed a hub that would allow input power to my tablet while simultaneously connected to a USB-A device that requires significant USB bus power. This works perfectly. I can keep my Anker power pack or charging cable connected during use.
Side note – the white circle next to the powered USB-A port lights up when input power is supplied. Confirmation that I’m not draining my tablet. Samsung Tab S6 NESDR Smart / WD Passport. Anker Powercore 10000.
I could not be more disappointed in this product. I needed to connect 2 devices; the way the product is set up, you have to have multiple different adapters for each kind of cord for it to connect. The instructions included in the packaging are completely worthless.
I have spent hours trying to rig something usable up with this because it was stupidly expensive to begin with and I didn’t want to have wasted my money. Look somewhere else, this product is not worth the cost at all.
My biggest disappointment is that I’ve spent so much time trying to make it work that I can’t return it now.
I bought this to use with the 2019 MacBook Pro. I just upgraded from a 2009 MacBook Pro and had a really hard time adjusting to not just having the USBs on the machine itself. I didn’t want to spend a LOT of money on a USB hub.
I tried this (even tho the specs didn’t say it worked on a 2019 model) to give it a try since it’s a decent price – it works! & works well. If all you need are the basic USB ports. I think this is a great choice!.

When I first purchased this nearly 3 years ago, It did not work for me the way I really needed it to. I found that I could not charge my Dell Latitude Tablet and use the hub at the same time which was my whole point of needing it.
My tablet only has 1 USB port, no ethernet, and a micro HDMI. The problem I was having is the power pass-through did seem to let power through, but the tablet refused to charge and ran slower because of it, thinking I was not using a genuine charger.
I thought it was because the hub did not allow the special signal that Dell power adapters use to identify when a genuine adapter is plugged in and being used. I went on thinking this for three years, just using it has a hub for the usb ports and Ethernet port when I needed it on other computers.
Well I recently read some forum posts that other people were having the same issues with other adapters and discovered that these hubs require quite a bit of power to function. Realizing this, I came back to this product page and saw they added info about this very same thing saying that the hub itself requires about 11 watts.
I checked my dell power adapter to see how much power it put out and it turns out it was only 30 watts. Boy did I have egg on my face. I was only giving the tablet 19 watts to charge with! At the time of purchase, this info was not on the product page so I had no Idea assumed it was like any old hub and used very little power.
I figured I would see if this was in fact the issue so after a bit of searching, I ordered 90 watt adapter (a little overkill but wanted to be sure and future proof it) and sure enough, I put everything together and wallah, the tablet was charging, the hub was working, and all is right in the world! I am very glad I did not return this hub or chuck it into a bin.
I have not tested the card readers or the HDMI yet, but I am not sure the HDMI at least will work with my tablet. My tablet seems to have a older USB-C port because the gigabit Ethernet port was only getting about 10mbps during a file transfer over the network, so I don’t think my tablets port is fast enough to handle the HDMI and everything else.
Otherwise I am super happy I stuck with this hub!.
This is fantastic little device that can turn a possibly unused USB-C port into a couple of USB-A ports (actually 2x 3. 0 another 2. 0 port). I had a lone USB-C port on my HP Omen laptop that I rarely have used, but a need for a few more USB-A ports, as it seems that I had more USB devices/peripherals than I thought.
It also includes as part of the 9-in-1 format an HDMI, headphone/audio plugin, SD slot, mini-SD/TF slot, a dedicated USB-C PD port (that I believe can also be used for some data transfer – although I haven’t used it for that yet, but it makes sense), and a RJ45 Ethernet port.
It is truly quite useful in many ways. I would give this quick tip, though, that you will probably need to restart your PC/laptop if you plug it into the USB-C port while already booted, especially if you are already using your headphone or microphone port beforehand.
It does need to recognize the included audio port and HDMI port (possibly other ports) as different than the factory included ones on your PC/laptop (at least it did on mine). I also will make one other small critique on this item, because at first I was slightly confused from the included picture on the Amazon page.
The power USB-C connector (the cord that you plug into your desktop/laptop) does NOT disconnect from the unit – it is attached. So if you need a device or adapter that disconnects from the cord for your mobile travel needs, this is not your selection.
It is not a big deal for me, but it does make transport of my laptop a little more involved (adds a minute or two), but it doesn’t really impact that much. Other than that, this is a fantastic purchase for any techie with the need – albeit a tad expensive for the function, but well worth it for those that plan on expanding your functionality.
I needed a small dock for my Windows 10 Thinkpad laptop. Absolutely zero issues plugging it in and immeditely getting it to see my 4K monitor and external USB devices. Speed is always something to watch! I have an external 4Tb drive for back-ups.
1. Connected to the dock on a USB3 port, I see 75-107MB/s. This is a USB-A port. 2. Connected direct to the laptop on a USB3 port, I see 140MB/s pretty consistently. This is a USB-A port. I lack a USBC to hard drive cable to try that out as both the dock and my laptop support USBC as well.
For now, for small back-ups of data, I’ll use the dock, but if I need to back-up my entire drive in the laptop, I’ll be plugging in directly for optimal throughput. I used VLC and a 1080P movie and I saw some small amount of stuttering in the video.
I don’t have a 4K movie I can test with, but Prime and Netflix don’t seem to show any evidence of stuttering video. Doing video and file copying at the same time really hurt the file copy speed. I see 50-70MB’s copy speeds.

Our old Android Galaxy S10+ had severe screen damage and so you couldn’t unlock or operate the phone. We used this device to Screen Mirror ( don’t use DEX function ) the faulty device so we could use Smart Switch to transfer our info to the new phone.
Plug in the HDMI cable to a TV and this device, Connect your damaged phone to this device via USB-C, connect a USB Mouse ( recent version – not old ) to this device, add power ( if needed ) via another power source to this device ( USB ).
Access the broken phone using mouse and tv screen, open up Smart Switch ( or download and install ) and proceed – use WIFI connection option between the phones, not cable option. Worked a treat and we saved our data from the old phone to the new phone!.

That means fewer cables when you travel. It also has an integrated cable (25 cm) for convenient transport.
I will not bash Startech. They make some pretty kick A$$ stuff, good bit of it I have. However, lately I have noticed some things related to some of the new products that have me concerned that they are slipping into the “made in China” mold.
this type C unit is a good example of that. It functions as it should, but for what the cost is I thought it would have a metal body. This is ABS plastic. A rigid type C cable will cause it to flip over.
also it needs a way to power the hub so that you can run ext HDDs from it. If there’s only one type C port on your machine, you will be selling yourself short if you plan on running more than SSD and thumb drives on this splitter/hub.
Also if the body had an option of a removable cable with a type A female socket, it would give you more options. Personally I hate the “type C” connectors’ design, too dainty for my taste, and are easily made loose killing the connection.
plus on having those on the actual unit. Seems almost like this was made to give 4 USB 3. 1 Gen 1 low voltage devices all maximum data I/O,.
OK, first of all, the TOP USB ports are really great on the go. Second, it worked in Linux, MacOS, and Windows without any extra hoop-jumping. And MOST importantly: It is FAST. I connected 4 different kinds of devices and all performed at full speed.
Obviously the hub itself is rated faster than USB-3, but, I was hopeful that 4 USB-3 devices at once would mean all would be quick, and I was not disappointed. Only thing to note, is that there’s no option for extra power, so if your device can’t cough up the electrons, and a connected USB3 device draws too much, it just won’t work.
Trivial overall unless you use heavy power devices. For thumb drives, average pocket-sized mobile HDD’s, SSDs, cameras, etc. this thing just works, and it works well. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
You can also extend the range of your USB devices by using this hub as a mid-point repeater. Connect more devices quickly and easily The 7-port hub is designed for easy port access when the hub is mounted or sitting on your desk.
The hub ports are spaced with enough room between them to easily plug or unplug your USB devices, without having to disconnect other devices from neighboring ports. With extra USB 3. 0 ports, you can increase productivity and connect more devices to your computer, or simply avoid the hassle of swapping connected devices on your port-limited laptop.
The hub lets you extend the life of your current USB 3. 0 devices while also taking advantage of newer USB-C devices. It’s perfect for IT professionals or anyone who needs to plug and unplug their devices regularly.
Enjoy mounted or desktop convenience This hub is the perfect accessory for a laptop or desktop workstation, with a rugged metal housing that can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. With the included wall-mount bracket, you can attach the hub to a surface such as a desktop or a wall, to best suit your needs.
Charge-and-sync your mobile devices With the available fast-charge port, the hub helps to ensure that your tablet or smartphone are charged and ready to use when you need them. You can also sync and access your device while it’s charging.
The USB-A charge port supports USB Battery Charging Specification 1. 2 and delivers up to 2. 4 amps of power, so you can charge your mobile device faster than traditional USB ports allow.
This ‘Plug and play type’ product is very handy. I have used it thoroughly putting all the devices – Headphones, USB Keyboard, Optical Mouse, USB 3. 0, USB 2. 0 (older usb drives), Mobile USB charging etc – all ports working fine and I can see the transfers were quick.
But, occasionally there is a scenario where it does not recognize the plugged in devices. For example – I have all the devices say – Keyboard, Optical Mouse etc and I plugged back in the USB-C to my laptop, it would not recognize, sometimes I need to plug it out and plug in back or Switch ON/OFF once to get those recognized back.
Other than that, overall performance of this hub is good to me. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
First, the negative: Had to mount it, since the hub is all metal and slides around too easy! Still. I love this thing. It’s like adding one USB-C (since one gets used to connect the hub), and 5 USB-A to your computer.
No drivers, no compatibility isssues. The power switch is a great add-on for disabling peripherals, and the always-on port is perfect for charging phone/watch/tablet! It’s a permanent part of my desk now, and I bought ahave one in my backpack! I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
This hub was reliable, heavy duty and easy to use with various laptops, such as HP, Toshiba and Dell, which I tested it upon. The hub is perfect for an addition to a docking station or a desktop computer extension.
The array of various USB connectors make it the perfect addition to the office work-space. Use multiple devices at once with this Hyperdrive 7-in-1 USB-C hub. This hub incorporates a HDMI port for high-definition video output, two powered USB-C ports, two ultra-fast USB 3. 1 ports, a MicroSD slot, an audio jack and more.
Compact and easy to use, this Hyperdrive 7-in-1 USB-C has a small footprint, so it sits neatly on your workstation.
I picked up this unassuming little device with the sole expectation of using the HDMI port (and accompanying conversion hardware) to expand my viewing platform to two screens while traveling by conscripting the obligatory hotel room TV, which are ALMOST universally flat screen & HDMI capable these days, into my arsenal.
This worked as expected which has been a huge win for me as I only carry a 11. 4 inch ChromeBook with me on the road; if it doesn’t fit in my standard sized, uber-optimized backpack it doesn’t go with me.
That leaves little room for creature comforts like secondary display devices of any useful dimension. I soon realized that what I had purchased was no simple HDMI adapter (although it IS very much that).
This device is the key to hardware expansion and general system-pimping capability when our devices and lifestyles demand an increasingly sleek, portable, and ultimately minimalist approach. My personal choice in portable computing provides me with exactly 3 orifices for input/output consideration: **A single USB-C port which is primarily intended for power supply but also performs as one would expect a USB port to.
**A standard USB Port (Again, all the usual included advantages which are admittedly plentiful) **A standard, solo SD Card Port. That’s it. If you demand any other IO options you’ll have to solder it to the motherboard directly and I have yet to locate a seam for which to gain access to the innards of this laptop incase I were to ever be desperate enough to go full Frankenstein and start welding components on.
Oh Yea! There IS a standard 3. 5mm Headphone Jack. So my device officially beats out the human body for number of useful holes but not by much. The HyperDrive 7-Port boasts the following options for pumping your stuff into or out of your devices (Step back ladies.
this thing came prepared to take it all): – 3 USB ports: 2 Standard 3. 1 (gen 1) pushing 5 Gb/s transfer rate with power pass through included on both and a single Thunderbolt USB-C port @ 60W for pass through power delivery and 6 Gb/s data transfer capacity.
– A Single HDMI port pumping 1080p @ 60 Hz all the way up thru 4k @ 30Hz -SD and Micro SD Card readers UHS-1 with 104MB/s transfer rate (Yea. almost obsolete in comparison with the transfer rate on those USB ports but the SD Card still has a place in our hearts and more importantly in our devices as the last type surviving the removable storage media wars.
If you have any operating system back-up volumes or photo/music/movie collections on CD, DVD, 3. 5″ Floppy or even Reel-To-Reel Magnetic Tape you would be smart to transfer them to SD Card or USB Thumb Drives; not only for all the benefits of solid-state digital storage but also in consideration of the disappearance of the bulky I/O hardware associated with our beloved but ageing storage methods of yesterday.
– 3. 5mm Headphone Jack – Essentially a passthrough as the unit can connect with male connections of both the USB-C AND 3. 5mm Jack when side-by-side. In many configurations the slender HyperDrive can cover up your devices headphone jack when connected to the required USB-C port so this is a nice, simple addition PLUS it adds a second point of contact to keep the HyperDrive even MORE securely anchored to your device.
Even with 2 of the 7 available ports being essentially copies of existing ports from your device it is obvious how many options are still afforded to you with the HyperDrive. Display upgrade or expansion is just what inspired me to grab this game changer.
(many of our modern devices offer display settings allowing the user to not only mirror the native display to another screen but also incorporate the additional pixels into a seamless-transition and infinitely large desktop only limited by your ability to find and carry these sometimes monstrous items.
) I had typecast my travel-friendly chromebook to a role playing nothing more than a storage lacking, not-even-worth-trying-to-enjoy-a-movie-on, internet machine. Adding the HyperDrive graduates my device to a starring roll in almost ANY scenario by simply opening up my hardware profile to accept or dish out information in a way that was literally just not possible with it’s barebones I MEAN ummm, PORTABLE factory configuration.
The only problematic consideration when utilizing this device is keeping out of trouble because any component you can get access to in your hotel room, parents house, convention center, casino lobby.
WHEREVER you find yourself existing during your travels, can be integrated into making your device as capable as you find useful.
When purchasing a MacBook, this is a must have purchase! I have never had any issues transporting information from my MacBook to USB drives. Not only is this tool reliable, it also has multiple USB ports to simultaneously save information to two different USB drives at the same time.
As a professional who uses my computer daily, this tool helps save time by not having to unplug and insert multiple USB drives. It also has a head phone port to be able to privately listen or talk to people on your computer.
I use this tool daily for the past two years, and have never had any issues.
This worst necessary computer accessory. This thing flops around and disconnects repeatedly during use. Its truly garbage and causes a lot of frustration when I am trying to get work done. I have to use an external hard drive for storage and the hyperdrive is constantly disconnecting/reconnecting while I am trying to save or move files.
I lose a significant amount of time with this because of it disconnecting often due to loose connections. That tiny little metal piece is how the port connects, that black piece in the photo looks like it stabilizes it but it doesn’t do anything with my macbook pro.
It is this little component that is making me leave Apple products until they bring back quality. I have loved Apple products for years but this choice to have a hyperdrive instead of ports, was a bad move that causes frustration and problems for people instead of making life more convenient.
Extra Ports Turn one USB-C port into four USB 3. 0 ports. That’s fast enough to transfer a full HD movie in just seconds! Sleek & Slim Design With its premium aluminum exterior and compact design, this Anker hub is the perfect partner for your new MacBook and more.
I bought this on Amazon thinking that I was going to get what I see in the product images. But I was very disappointed. The 4 USB ports on the hub are reversed so when you plug in something that has a button or an status light, you will not be able to see it because it will be facing the opposite direction.
I’m furious because if you see all the product images in the listing, you will see that it’s not what you actually get. I’m really disappointed with you Anker. I will not recommend or buy your products ever again.
Will this matter to you? Not really. But at least, future customers will be able to be prepared and will know that they will not be getting what you show in the product images.

I got it for my new M1 Mac Book air. The USB-C port on the hub let me charge my laptop and leaving 1 port free so I can connect other high speed SSD. Performance on the USB-A is good. And its good to have an HDMI out also.
As the best USB-C hub for iPad Pro will vary depending on individual needs and preferences. However, some factors to consider when choosing a USB-C hub for iPad Pro include the number and type of ports offered, the hub’s size and portability, and its compatibility with other devices.
