20 Best Upright Vacuums For Carpet (2023 Updated)

The third vacuum I tried, and the one I kept. Liked more than the other two much more expensive and better rated ones, one was another Kenmore that was almost double the price and the other was a $700 Miele.

This one has everything I was looking for – the best type of HEPA filtration (the bag itself, so you’re not dealing with a dirty compartment either), powerful suction, and true ease of use. Inslsi appreciate that it’s lightweight.

As a bonjmus it doesn’t show wear and tear easily either. I don’t love how spread apart the bristles are on the brushroll on the floor piece – it seems like that would cause things to get left behind – but when I vacuum my carpets I’m not actually seeing things getting left behind so maybe it’s fine.

Overall decently happy with the purchase at the $140 sale price. This model is almost identical to the BU4022 being sold for $200. It’s just too bad Target no longer seems to have any more in stock – I had recommended it to family members.

This has been a great vacuum. It cleans the carpets very well. Its more compact width makes for easy manuvering which also makes getting around a room easier as it’ll fit in lots of places a wide width would not.

I’ve had a lot of vacuums, and everytime I go baggless, I’m sorry I did. Bagless just makes a mess when emptying- and I’ve owned the top rated models. Bagged is quick and clean- zero mess inside or on the unit.

No filters to wash either. If you have allergies- bagged just makes common sense. This units shortcoming is the hose- it won’t reach far when it’s on, so it’s only good for easy to reach dusting etc.

I can use it for quick cleaning around the washer dryer, the dryer lint trap and other quick jobs. I have top rated bagged canister that I use when I need it. Overall, easy to recommend.

Hands down this is the BEST and ONLY Vacuum Cleaner you will ever need to buy. It is the lightest weight of any Vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. It 9s an absolute must to purchase for people who have had neck and back surgeries or any type of Orthopedic issues.

An absolute must for independent elderly people who take pride in their homes and enjoy vacuuming daily. I could literally work this Vacuum with using two fingers and it is a breeze to Vacuum stairs.

My British Shorthair cat Teddy Bear weighs more than this Vacuum cleaner. The suction is amazing and it picks up Persian Type Cat hair with one simple pass. It comes with hospital grade HEPA filtration and a light air freshener pods.

My only complaint is that we don’t have several air freshener choices. I have been spoiled with the wonderful Febreeze air freshener Vacuum accessories and would love for Soniclean to allow Febreeze to create one for the SFC-7000.

This Vacuum cleaner is worth every penny and I promise you won’t be disappointed. If you like barely there scents you may enjoy the air freshener that comes with the Vacuum but personally I couldn’t really smell it because it was way too light for me.

I enjoy the stronger scent of Febreeze, but make no mistake, that was my one and only complaint. Do yourself a favor and by this Vacuum and you will be vacuuming your house in half the time and with the greatest of ease.

I haven’t owned this vacuum very long, and will update my review if my first impressions change. I purchased Mohawk Smart Strand carpet for my whole house because I was impressed with the warranty and tech specs.

The carpet store I purchased through didn’t really talk about vacuuming except to say that my old vacuum cleaner may not roll across this softer carpet. Well my Panasonic did seem to work just fine. However, when I went to Mohawk’s website to get all the specifics of their 25 year warranty, I discovered some surprises regarding how to care for this style of carpet fiber.

They want you to have the carpet cleaned by a certain type of cleaning company (certified) and save all your receipts! Plus after reading their specifics about vacuuming, I questioned whether using my Panasonic was a good idea – the bristles on the rotating brush are very stiff, almost as stiff as a grout cleaning brush I use.

So I called Mohawk customer service to discuss. They were helpful and sent me a list of approved vacuums for Smart Strand carpet fiber. At first I felt miffed at the thought of spending more money when I have a perfectly good vacuum, but then I thought about the investment I have made in purchasing this carpet (over $12,000).

So spending $379 to protect this investment seems like the smart thing to do. I do prefer a bag over the bagless vacuums (which I have found to be filthy), so this Soniclean is a plus. It is very light (I believe 10 pounds vs my 35 pound Panasonic).

Very few features and No attachments is a negative. So, I use the Soniclean only on the Mohawk carpet, and my old vacuum for everything else. The Soniclean is LOUD. I wear ear plugs and that solves the problem.

It rolls nicely over the carpet and adjusting the vents is not an issue. I have the vents on the middle opening for plush carpet, and adjust to wide open to vacuum the “shag” carpet. It works. The cord is long.

I have not experienced any negative issues with the operation of the Soniclean.

We had new soft carpet by Karistan installed in our bedrooms. This vacuum is the one that is recommended by the manufacturer and it’s use doesn’t void the carpet warranty. I was not expecting to purchase a new vacuum as my Dyson is perfectly fine but with soft carpets, you need a special vacuum.

This is a good machine but for the price that you pay, I wish it came with attachments. It is very hard getting into corners with it. The machine is also very loud. So far, I am happy with the purchase.

Excellent vacuum! It has REALLY powerful suction, it’s easy to operate and very maneuverable, and the dirt hopper is very simple to empty. Most striking of all, it’s the sort of vacuum that you don’t think about after using it – only its results.

My carpets are wonderfully soft and floors clean and smooth after vacuuming, and all I think about is just how nice they are to walk on. Not the vacuum. I believe an appliance like this should perform its function so seamlessly that the results are more noticeable than the device itself.

This is precisely the case with this vacuum. It sits in the corner until it is needed, then it does a wonderful job, and I go on living my life with clean floors!The HEPA exhaust filter is a great touch.

You can literally see all of the dirt swirling around in there that would otherwise be blasted out into the air.

I’ve never bought a Kenmore brand vacuum before, only HooverBissellShark. I usually have to buy a new vacuum every year (big dogs who shed and a son who brings home all the dirt from the ball field with him every day), so I’ve owned quite a few to compare to.

So far, this vacuum out cleans them all. It’s a bit heavier than I am use to, but this vacuum is self propelled and I barely have to push it along, even on thick carpets. It does a really good job keeping dust and dirt sealed within the system.

There was a definite noticeable difference in air quality and my allergies weren’t as bad after using this vacuum. (Compared to previous Hoover and bissell vacuums).

With only limited use so far: I love this vacuum. It is self propelled when the brush is on, very powerful suction and great dust containment. The roller tends to wad up my throw rugs on the back pull, but will continue to look for a way to address that.

I would change: NEEDS more and better on board attachment holders. I have the crevice tool in the holder and it tends to fall off. Plus no way to carry/store the other great attachments. Love the long cord!.

Wow! This vacuum has suction power. Have 2 long hair cats in household. This vacuum never looses power and does an excellent job on either the thick pile carpet or wood floors. The attachments are purposeful and stay in place when vacuuming.

It is a heavy vacuum when using on carpet. Between older age and arthritis, daughter has to vacuum carpeted areas.

Our old vacuum stopped working and I went online to search for one that would do a good job on pet hair and make the carpet look like it had been vacuumed but also not spend a small fortune. Our home has a long hallway and although relatively new it has builder grade carpet.

With the vacuums we’ve had the past few years within a few hours after vacuuming the hallway carpet looks trampled and matted down. There are 2 people and 3 cats in our home. This vacuum delivered last week and I immediately got it set up and vacuumed.

WOW, was very impressed. It did a phenomenal job in picking up cat hair. I was amazed at how much it picked up and the hallway carpet looked all fluffed up. Fast forward 3 days and the hall carpet still looked great.

I feel like this vacuum did a deeper cleaning than our previous one and we’ve had the big name vacuum that cost 3x the cost of this vacuum and this one works far better. It’s relatively lightweight for a full size vacuum and easy to maneuver.

Very happy with this purchase and delivery right to our door.

We have owned this vacuum for a few months and in that time have ordered 6 belts. We just put on the 6th belt last night and it completely stopped working. It didn’t blow a fuse, it just quit. I usually purchase cheap little cleaners and decided to invest in a Hoover.

After spending several hundred dollars, it was just a disappointment. You have disappointed me Hoover. Your name did mean quailty and I thought this would be a good investment. I truly hope you attempt to make this right.

I couldn’t despise a vacuum more than I despise this one. We have had three Shark vacuums before this one. They were all the Navigator, but not the lift away. This model is horrible. The drum fills up with ONE PASS OVER OUR LIVING ROOM AND WE HAVE BRAND NEW CARPET.

Literally, we had our house was built, everything completely new, we have no pets, we don’t smoke, and we bought this vacuum brand new to use in our new house so none of the old “dust and dirt” from our previous home would be transferred to this “new everything” house.

Every single time we use it it smells weird. We’ve cleaned the filters, we clean the drum, we have replaced the filters, all three, it still smells. The way it’s built is so unsteady it falls over at the slightest gust of wind.

Literally I have walked by it too quickly and it’s fallen over. The hose seems like it’d be long but it’s so tight it doesn’t stretch far. I cannot find a single thing about this vacuum I like and that stinks because I am an avid Shark product lover.

Now, as I’m looking for another new vacuum to replace this barely used one that’s garbage all around, my husband doesn’t want to get another Shark because of this one. Not to say I blame him, because I don’t, it’s horrible.

Over the last 7-8 years of having Shark vacuums this one ruined their image and reliability for us both. And that’s after our second one caught on fire and burned my husband’s hand, but they sent us a new upgraded version of that model we had even though it was two years old and pretty worn out, because the reason it caught fire was fixed for the new model they sent us.

So we weren’t even that upset over that entire incident. This whole vacuum in comparison makes me really annoyed they would even sell a product like this.

The Shark – Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is a good and powerful relatively lightweight vacuum. The cord is long, the handle is a comfortable height, and the vacuum swivels so it’s easy to push and get around furniture.

It has powerful suction and is height adjustable so it works well on different types and lengths of carpet. The roller can be turned off, which is convenient if you want to use it on bare floors or decorative carpeting with long tassels.

Some things that I would have liked more of is on board tools, this only comes with 1 extender crevice tool and 1 little combo duster piece which I don’t know what it’s really called. The dirt cup is an ok size but of course space is taken up by the filter, and It’s easy to empty.

You can remove the whole center section of the vacuum and use it with the hose and extender crevice tool or other tool if you want to vacuum higher places like vents on a wall or ceiling fans, or go up the steps while vacuuming the baseboards, etc.

Easy to use- makes vacuuming seem like less of a chore! It’s been over a year since we got it Oct 2020, and it’s still working just as well as it did the 1st time we used it, which is saying a lot because it has to keep up with the fur of 2 cats and 1 long hair dog that sheds a lot! We’ve gone through a bunch of vacuums, all brand names, thru the years, and this Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is definitely the best one so far!.

This vacuum is okay. I broke my other Shark Navigator, the NV586 purple one, about a year ago and needed a quick replacement so I thought this one would be just as good. It was not. It was fine but really just not powerful enough to handle my 4 kiddos and two pets.

So I went looking for an upgrade and I am coming back to write a review finally becuase I recently purchased the new Shark Vertex DuoClean (AZ2002) and OMG I never knew what I was literally missing. One single pass over an 8×10 rug and the DuoClean picked up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum I have ever owned.

No exaggeration, I think I picked up years worth of nasty that I had no idea was still in there. As a bonus, it also glides over the hardwood floors picking up everything instead of scattering it like other vacuums and now I am also throwing away my brooms.

After owning three Sharks and one Dyson, I would recommend the DuoClean forever. So the NV360 is fine for single folks with no pets or kids who also don’t need to do hardwood floors, otherwise watch for a sale and snag the new DuoClean.

For the price, the PowerSpeed Turbo Pet Cord Rewind Upright Vacuum is a decent solution for home cleaning, but some design quirks left me scratching my head. This vacuum cleaner faces the same challenges of any other model or brand that uses a dry bag or paper filter.

Once the pores of the aforementioned filter begin to clog you lose airflow, and thereby, your cleaning ability. This is why the decision to include a “more suction” or “less suction” adjustment left me scratching my head.

Why would anyone ever want less suction and thereby less cleaning power? Speaking of the auction adjustment, this vacuum is like many others in its class, in that, it has a detachable wand for non-floor cleaning.

Head scratcher #2 is that fact that this wand has no locking mechanism to keep it attached to the main hose. It simply slides down onto the receiving end, which is easily dislodged during normal floor cleaning.

I had to reattach the wand several times during my first use of the vacuum due to this reoccurring. This is a major oversight in my opinion. The attached pet tool works well, as does the dirt collection chamber and retractable cord, all of which are positives for this model.

The positives don’t outweigh the negatives for me unfortunately. The lack of a locking mechanism on the wand is a deal breaker and a constant annoyance.

We received this pet vacuum when we were searching for a backup. We wanted a second to compare since we vacuum daily. We have a messy toddler, one long haired cat and five long haired humans living in our home.

There are multiple settings to choose from (carpet, bare floors, etc. ). The cyclone grabs dirt and dust, holds pet and long human hair and is easily able to access and dispose. I love how you can just dump the dirt and not have to use vacuum bags.

The filter is reusable and can be rinsed out to clear. The eject button is in a good place (so you don’t accidentally bump and dump. This happened several times with our other pet vacuum. Such a hassle to clean up another mess when you are already cleaning up your mess of a home).

The cord is surprisingly long and can handle a big home. There are multiple attachments to use in your home or vehicle. The attachments work okay. The suction is adjustable on the pet hair attachment.

They don’t pick up everything and the components feel cheap. It doesn’t feel durable and the plastic feels flimsy. The handling of the Eureka Pet Vacuum is okay. Compared to our other upright pet vacuum, this vacuum is harder to maneuver around corners and around furniture.

It doesn’t swivel around or under furniture with ease. The vacuum has a lower light but it’s not very bright. This is a good backup vacuum for us. It helps pick up dust, dirt and hair. It works well for a big home since it has a very long retractable cord.

Compared to our original pet vacuum, this product is just okay. We’d still choose to spend more to have a much better quality product that will last longer.

First off, I have a long haired and short haired cat, and a fluffy 2 coated dog. Needless to say I have a lot of fur in my house! I waited a few days to see just how much this thing could do, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I was able to do my while living room before emptying the canister! And most of the fur came out pretty easily.

I did need to open the top to get some that had wrapped around the inside, but that’s almost to be expected. The hose worked well, although I’d like to have seen an extra tube to extend it other than the skinny furniture attachment.

It did decently along the edges, did still need to use the hose on the right side though. The power button is a foot pedal next to the unlock pedal, which is both good and bad. It seemed super powerful and moved relatively easy on my thickish but not long carpet.

It was easy to put together out of the box, and I love the extra attachments that all have a place to lock onto the vacuum. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with this lightweight vacuum in terms of suction and ability to get pet fur up!.

This vacuum is extremely heavy. It took both my hands to swivel right to left. I can only vacuum for ten minutes at a time because of how heavy this vacuum is and it took all my force to swivel right to left.

A vacuum should not be this hard to use. I’m only 33 years old and am exhausted after only ten minutes of using it. They need lighter vacuums, and bigger dust cups. My old shark swiveled way easier to, so they need to go back to the old parts for easier swiveling.

Plus I’m right handed, which is another big issue. The cord is on the right side of the vacuum and I’m right handed. I use my right hand and right leg to move the vacuum back and fourth, so the cord is constantly under my feet tripping me.

They need more vacuums with the cord on the “left side” for us right handed people. Also why are they using really shiny plastic on the vacuum and hand tools. Everything looks horrible after a couple uses, its all scratched up badly.

They use to use a better, stronger plastic that was not shiny! I wish they would let me build them a perfect vacuum lol! I don’t know who’s all designing them, but they’re doing a bad job. A vacuum should be built good and easy to use.

The last four I purchased, I had to return. Either the shiny plastic came out of the box all scratched up and looking cheap. Or the cords on the right side, which was the majority of them. Or the dust cup is so small, I would’ve had to dump it every 10 minutes.

Or the vacuum is so heavy, I could barely push it and the swiveling is very hard to use. And one of them wouldn’t suck up dirt in reverse. One more thing to add, the hose should be on the right side, for us right handed people, not the left side.

I’m really hoping this post,so other people can find the right vacuum and not go through everything I went through.

This vacuum is really powerful, yet manages not to pull the rugs out of place and up the hose. I have several cats and a real hair and litter mess constantly. I can see litter in the path and it pulls ALL of it into the canister.

No bits pop across the floor and away like with other vacuums. This is a huge improvement over past engineering. It’s easy to maneuver. Some state it’s heavy, but I don’t have any problem with the weight.

With a vacuum this powerful, I don’t know how you’re going to have a light weight motor, so just think about this a minute. It’s about 17 lbs. I think it will be important to clean filters often so the motor doesn’t burn out.

This is what happened with my Shark Rocket, but it was completely my fault. I’m upgrading from an expensive well -known other brand and expect to be a Shark vac customer for life. I love the lift away feature too.

I *really like* this vacuum a LOT and would have given it 4. 5 stars if possible! It maneuvers nicely and has great suction in both the floor and carpet modes and it does not bind up, as promised. The cleaning wand with power head option is super! It’s is just a bit heavier than I would like and all the attachments don’t have a “place” on the unit.

I do empty out the canister often as I’ve got a furry one. A retractable cord would also be a helpful feature. Overall, a really great Shark product and a nice upgrade from the other one I own elsewhere.

Price, on sale from Best Buy, was right, too!!.

The Hoover Onepwr Blade plus 2 is a convenient and powerful cordless hand held vacuum cleaner that’s been designed to perform a number of tasks. The unit also has a couple of features that make life simpler.

Although not as powerful as my large roll-around, I can pick up the Hoover Onepwr off the convenient wall mounted storage unit and get to cleaning up instantly, especially between the big cleanups when i use my full sized unit.

The Hoover arrived with 2 batteries so that the Onepwr can be in use instantly, not having to drag out the plug-in unit, which is a great convenience, in between major cleanups. I had the provided storage rack up on the wall in minutes, it has storage for all the attachments as well as the vacuum itself.

The Onepwr comes with a crevice tool as well as a dust brush and upholstery brush which fit snugly to the hand held unit or onto the extension pole that allows you to stand upright as you are cleaning with the lighted, multi surface, spinning head floor nozzle and carpet beater.

The Hoover runs for just over one half hour, for each battery, giving over an hour of total cleaning time available continuously. A convenient charger is provided to keep your batteries always ready.

One feature that I really like is the ability to remove the dust canister to empty it, separating from the main unit so that you don’t have to try to awkwardly handle the entire unit while dumping the canister contents into the trash.

Again, a versatile and powerful unit that will quickly clean up almost any mess stylishly and easily.

The Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet vacuum really sucks! And I mean that in the best way possible. This vacuum cleaner has significantly better suction than our previous vacuum. I was able to fill it twice in a single bedroom and it hadn’t been that long since it was swept.

That may be the best feature of the WindTunnel, but it wasn’t my favorite feature. Upon unpacking it my wife and I were struck by how long the power cord is. Holy cow! Whoever designed this thing has clearly ran a vacuum cleaner and understands the misery of having to move the cord constantly.

Our home isn’t that large, but it isn’t tiny either. I was able to plug the Hoover WindTunnel in in my living room and sweep the entire house including the two bedrooms and family room that are upstairs.

Color me impressed. I was also fairly impressed with how well it handled hair. My pets are short haired and don’t shed that much, but my wife and two of my kids have long hair. It gets everywhere and tends to wind up really bad in the brush on vacuum cleaners.

I don’t know if it’s the design of the brush or the massive amount of suction, but I don’t have miles of hair wrapped around the brush, so that’s a plus. It wouldn’t be appropriate to only highlight the WindTunnel’s strengths, so I’d like to mention a few things I didn’t like.

First, about half of my house has hardwood floors, so we generally sweep a lot with the vacuum on the lowest height setting. I had the WindTunnel sitting on a small runner in my dining room while I was using the hose to suck up dust bunnies around the edge of the room and I heard an awful growling noise.

I looked over to notice that the WindTunnel was trying to eat the runner it was sitting on. That’s how I discovered that the brush never stops spinning. Every vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had turned the brush off when set to the lowest height.

Fortunately the WindTunnel has strong enough suction that it doesn’t fling stuff around, but I did find it strange. I have a really bad dust allergy and I was hoping that the WindTunnel High Performance Pet vacuum might be better than average at trapping allergens.

No luck, I was still completely miserable after running the vacuum. I’m not sure this is Hoover’s fault, but it’s worth mentioning. The last thing I want to mention is the various accessories that came with the WindTunnel.

Most vacuums come with some sort of brush-like attachment for the end of the hose. Hoover redesigned this tool to not have the brush stuff around the edges and instead it has these rubber veins, which I can only assume are meant to avoid hair tangling up in it.

My experience was that these rubber veins are too long and even with the powerful suction of the WindTunnel, I found this attachment to be mostly useless. There’s another attachment that has a small head with a roller that spins around.

I’m not impressed with it either. So both of the attachments that make this WindTunnel for “Pets” weren’t that useful. The long tapered attachment is pretty nice. It has a little groove in the end that I’m guessing is to keep the thing from sucking down too much on a surface, but I noticed it was awesome for cleaning the blades on our ceiling fans.

The little groove fits around the edge of the blade in just a way that you can suck up the dust without knocking down a bunch of dust bunnies. Overall I like the WindTunnel. Hoover knocked it out of the park with the super long power cord and that great suction.

The attachments are somewhat unimpressive and I don’t know how I feel about the brush running on the lowest setting.

I received this Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet Upright from BzzAgent for my honest review. This Hoover vacuum was extremely easy to put together. I will mention if you have long nails you may have issues with the power button, but once I figured it out I was able to turn it on with zero issues.

This vac offers a setting for hard floors to low to high carpet. This is a perfect feature for myself since I have vinyl plank flooring, rugs and carpet in my home. This vacuum did a beautiful job picking up dust and pet fur from my vinyl floors.

The real test however was when I used it on my carpets and rugs. Need I said holy suction it did not disappoint. I’ve been using my Shark upright but I noticed right away the significant difference in suction power in this Hoover WindTunnel.

No more having to use my pet lint hair roller multiple times before I vacuum. This Hoover WindTunnel did the job picking up hair, crumbs the kids dropped and all other debris. In comparison to the vacuum I have used I would say his Hoover performs exceptionally well.

I love that this pet Hoover WindTunnel includes the pet attachments for furniture. It’s easy to use for hard to reach areas such as ceiling and is great on stairs. I would absolutely purchase this Hoover WindTunnel Pet Upright for my home cleaning needs.

This is a vacuum that I would absolutely recommend to my family and friends. This would be a great vacuum for homes with pets and children.

I would like to have seen additional views of the product other than the provided front and slightly side-angled view, particularly a clear view from behind the vacuum. Opening the top of the box you will find e instructions sheet tucked under a nicely printed Thank You note from Hoover.

The product is well packaged for protection but is not difficult to remove from the box. The attachments are tucked into side areas with the vacuum in the center. The cardboard pieces separating the packaging sections lifts out easily without stuggle and the vacuum unit is then free to be easily lifted from the box.

Assembly was a breeze. The handle simple slips into place with a push-pin style locking mechanism. There is a place for each attachment on the vacuum body for easy storage and access to the attachments.

My only complaint with my initial visual inspection is that the hose from the vacuum to the dirt canister appears longer than it needs to be and gets in the way a little when winding the cord onto the unit.

After using in my main living area, where we have carpet and a large area rug that the dog and cat hair clings to, the Hoover High Performance Swivel XL Pet Vaccuum did an extremely good job in picking up the pet hair from the rug if I used the Low Carpet setting.

The medium setting was picking it up but was requiem good several passes over the same area. In comparison, our past two vacuum cleaners have been much higher retail priced Dyson brand vacuums and those require several passes on the rug to pick up the hair.

This has been my number one complaint when vacuuming over the past couple of years but this Hoover seems to grab the hair much easier. The pet hair attachment is similar in nature to other pet hair removers we have in our Home, but with the added benefit of being a vacuum attachment.

It’s rubber “blades” helps scrape the pet hair for easy removal. This attachment worked wonderful on our couch, which tends to show pet hair pretty easily. The other attachment has brush like fibers all the way around it and has a swivel design making it perfect to clean dust from ceiling fan blades.

Finally, the long, narrowing tipped crevice tool makes cleaning between the couch cushions and the small area between the bottom of the couch and floor a breeze. I can’t wait to use that attachment when detailing the car! Overall, I would definitely recommend the Hoover High Performance Swivel XL Pet Vaccuum to anyone with pets.

I can not speak to its longevity or how well it’s suction over time, but I am impressed with its out of the box performance with pet hair that I’ve experienced trouble cleaning with my much more expensive (albeit much older) vacuums.

I received the High Performance Swivel XL Pet Upright Vacuum totally free from BzzAgent for trying out at home and providing my honest reviews in return. Immediately upon receipt, I started using this awesome Hoover Vacuum.

This vacuum tackled all the pet hairs and prevented odor with its PowerFlex brush roll and carbon pet filter which is an awesome feature of this vacuum. Also, the vacuum is efficient in cleaning up crumbs, dust particles, and even embedded dirt with its powerful dual cyclone technology in every nook and corner in my house specially on stairs, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach spots with the specialized pet tools included with the vacuum itself, which are a 10-inch telescopic extension wand, dusting brush, crevice tool, and 2-in-1 pet upholstery tool.

My wife and I were so excited to receive the Hoover High Performance Swivel XL Pet Vacuum, but probably not as excited as our toddler was. We had to endure “I don’t see it!”, “Where new vacuum??”, etc.

until the box arrived. At that point, he demanded that the box be opened. Assembly was very simple in that you only had to connect the handle and hose and then put the attachments in the appropriate spots on the vacuum.

My toddler was amazed by the vacuum and I have to admit I understand: It looks pretty slick. I apologize for not having any pictures of the vacuum clean and newly assembled; The toddler made us vacuum right away.

I love the various settings for the vacuum (low, medium, high, and hard floors). However, this leads me to one comment on the User Manual that came with the vacuum. While it contains great directions regarding maintenance and cleaning, it does not explain what “low”, “medium”, and “high” are ideally used for nor does it explain the use for each attachment.

This is in no way a deal breaker as the suction on this machine is amazing and definitely handles pet hair extremely well. It is also so lightweight compared to our previous vacuum which immediately went out to the curb once we used this vacuum! We most certainly would purchase this vacuum as owners of two dogs (one of which has a dual coat), two cats, a toddler, AND an infant, this vacuum handles the chaos of the dirt, food, and hair tornados that roll through our house hourly.

I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone crazy enough to be in a similar situation as us (Bless you, you poor, unfortunate souls. ). P. S. The telescoping attachment is my toddler’s favorite thing about the vacuum and he uses it as a spyglass telescope constantly.

This replaces a Oreck XL commercial vacuum cleaner and there is no comparison. The Oreck did not have enough suction to remove all the dirt and pet hair in carpet. With the Oreck, I had to remove the pet hair by hand and then vacuum the carpet.

I did not realize how much dirt was let in the carpet until I purchase the Sanitaire. After the 1st use, the bag on the Sanitaire was 1/4th filled. This after using the Oreck. The carpet looks cleaner and fluffier and I did not have to remove the pet hair before I vacuumed.

The Sanitaire is heavier and a little more difficult to vacuum but it is worth the extra effort.

Simply said- This vacuum is made for frequent, long time use. It is not made for people who want a vacuum that glides effortlessly. It is a simple machine made to do one task, & it does it perfectly! It is commercial grade, so you need a bit of oomph to use it.

Set the dial correctly & it will glide over carpets. It has a strong motor that will last many years if maintained. I have repaired vacuums for many years. These are some I don’t see too often because they are tough.

Too many folks are brutal to a vacuum. Many fail because people don’t realize they are not meant to pick up everything. So unfortunately a persons laziness will destroy a machine well before it should ever fail.

This one will last longer than others!!!.

I was sick of paying hundreds of dollars for “stylish” vacuums. It seems we are just paying for a fancy color instead of actual quality, and in my experience – anything labeled “for animal hair” guaranteed the vacuum would die in a year.

So I purchased this old tried and true and to say I am impressed is an understatement. I bought this vacuum for my home and it literally sucks. it is a cleaning beast! Super easy to put together, a little heavy to push (free workout bonus) and an amazing machine all around.

It does not have any attachments and it does not lower down to reach under beds, but it gets the main job done and that’s more than I can say for any of the other popular brand names out there.

Could not be happier with this vacuum – it provides an incredible amount of suction, it has a high quality construction, and there’s many intelligent features built in that make it a joy to use. This is actually my second Dyson ball vacuum – sadly, my ex-wife took my original 😉 That vacuum was amazing and am super happy to have this newer version.

The construction is top-notch. Everything is tight, solid, and durable. For reference, the original I had was over 3 years old and it performed just like new after many years of using it to clean up after 2 dogs and a couple cats.

This newer version actually feels a little more robust so I am sure this will last just as long if not longer. In terms of cleaning power, this could be the main reason Dyson is so popular. It provides quite of bit of suction for everything from floors to furniture.

The main head on the bottom of the vacuum has 3 different modes from hard surfaces like tile and hardwood to light carpet to thicker carpet and it does a great job at picking up pet hair even with the deepest of carpets.

This version of the Ball Animal 3 comes with a combination tool (nozzle and soft brush) as well as a stair tool. The stair tool has these little velour strips that helps pick up hair from carpets and that works well.

If your pet (or other humans – no judgement) shed a lot hair, you may want to consider the Ball Animal 3 Extra which runs $100 more but that comes with the Pet Groom Tool as well as the Tangle-free turbine tool.

I had the tangle-free turbine tool on my last Dyson and found that to be a fantastic tool for cleaning cat hair from furniture. The other thing about Dyson products are the smart features that make it super convenient and also eco-friendly.

The canister for storing debris easily pops off with a single button and then a secondary button releases the bottom of the canister for emptying easily into a trash can. The hose is built right into the handle of the vacuum so there’s none of that additional hose that you have to loop around the vacuum or anything like that.

It’s all integrated. In addition, there’s also eco-friendly features such as a washable filter as well as even how Dyson products are packaged. 99% of the packaging is completely recyclable. There’s a reason Dyson products are so popular and I’m super happy to add this to my other Dyson products.

So I’ve owned a Ball Animal 2 for about 3 yrs and have had a love/hate relationship with it. And having owned the Ball Animal 3 for almost a month now, I can honestly say I still have a love/hate relationship with this brand.

I purchased the Animal 3 because I was glad to finally see that Dyson opted to change the Cleaning Head to what the UK variant has had for awhile now, which is having a carpet height selector. Now I really have to say that the Animal 3 has so much better suction with having the carpet height selector, but that also has a negative that I’ve found.

I find it very difficult to turn now compared to the Animal 2 which turned on a dime. I will for sure keep it as I don’t want to jump through the hoops of returning it, but I don’t believe I will be making any future Dyson vacuum purchases in the future after this experience.

The cost of these vacuums is very much on the high side and with that you would expect that they would do their own inhouse study/testing and they seem to have failed at this. In the end it basically comes down to the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives when compared to what you expect when making such an expensive purchase.

Yes the suction is probably the best you’ll ever have with any vacuum on the market BUT with negative costs. Being a “BALL” vacuum and unlike the Animal 2 that could turn easily, this thing is a major struggle to turn.

NOT GOOD! The Animal 3 also has the same issues like the Animal 2 in that trying to use the hose is a chore on it’s own. The suction is just so strong that you basically need to have the vacuum right next you or end up having to do things like.

prop the vacuum around the corner of a wall and then stretch out the hose while also having some decent arm and upper body strength to do so with even minimal comfort. The “Cyclone” portion of the vacuum is a very poor design.

Due to a common static charge while vacuuming, it allows for dust to build up in massive clumps within the Cyclone piece. You need to constantly bang the heck out of this piece while over a trash can in order to keep it even somewhat clean.

And they don’t make it so the Cyclone can be easily disassembled for cleaning which is a huge disappointment and failure within it’s design. I also find it upsetting that even though Dyson offers a TON of accessories for these upright models.

they don’t offer one of the most common of accessories. a basic dusting brush! Yes it comes with a combo tool for crevice and dusting. They even offer a wide variety of other dusting attachments. ones that can twist for angled dusting, one that can bend etc etc.

but then not your basic common everyday short dusting brush that’s found on 99. 9% of vacuums since they were invented. Really boggles my mind. No lie. since I still have the Animal 2, I took the combo tool from that one and ended up cutting off basically 80% of the crevice tool portion to make my own “basic short dusting brush!”.

Dyson if your listening: You should have listened to your customer base and address the issue with the hose being difficult to use. I’m sure there has to be a solution. maybe a hose that’s not as stiff? Look into my “home modification” of the basic short dusting brush and release a factory version.

And please look into the problem of the Animal 3 being so much harder to turn compared to the Animal 2.

GOOD – Long cord – Good suction – End-user serviceable design – Fairly compact BAD – Doesn’t steer as easily as other swivel heads – Fixed extension wand can get in the way – Cleaning on hard floors could be better – Runs hot DETAILS Dyson vacuums are well known for their performance and reliability.

My experience with this rendition of their Ball design bears that out, and I’ve been largely pleased with it. The Animal version of the Ball is marketed specifically at people with pets, to clean up the hair from carpets and furniture.

I find it’s also handy if you or the people you live with have long hair. In general, it cleans quite well. It has very powerful suction and the power bar base has three settings for deep pile carpet, normal carpet, and hard floors.

The power bar itself can also be toggled on and off. I found it cleaned my carpets quite well, though cleaning my hardwood left a little to be desired ( the instruction manual recommends turning the power bar off for this, I’m not sure why ).

It also has a very generous cord length. And though Dyson created the Ball design specifically to make it easier to steer the vacuum around corners and obstacles, I find it much stiffer to turn than other current swivel head vacuums.

I appreciate Dyson’s design in the vacuum. It’s fairly modular, making it relatively easy to service and maintain yourself, provided you can get a replacement part. The filters are washable so you can reuse them instead of constantly buying new replacements.

It also keeps things slim and trim so the vacuum is a little more compact than other full-size uprights. This particular model also comes with two extra attachment tools. One is an upholstery brush/cleaner, the other is a pet grooming tool that’s supposed to suck up the shedded hair as you brush.

How well your pet will handle being brushed near a vacuum remains to be seen. But sometimes I think it tries to be too clever. It uses a friction snap instead of a pedal to release the vertical lock.

It’s usually fine, but it also means you can accidentally release the upright lock when you don’t want to, like if you want to tilt the vacuum back and roll it somewhere or even if you pick it up and then set it down.

The extension wand is stored inside the hose in the main column. This is nice for reducing the exterior dimensions, but it also means you have to unwind the entire cord and slide out the entire wand when you want to do some quick spot cleaning.

You can detach the wand from the hose if you don’t need or want the reach, like in a small corner or nook, but in those moments where you just want to quickly clean up some cookie crumbs or dust bunnies, it’s more involved than you might be used to.

The main handle is also reversed to accommodate the extension wand, putting the main column below your hand instead of above it when you’re using the vacuum. This means the vacuum tilts back farther than others when using it.

For myself, I found my legs and knees bumped into main unit a lot since it was now leaning more toward me. Most of these complaints are small quirks, admittedly. They may or may not matter to you. All in all, it’s a well built vacuum, it cleans well, and it stores easily.

It does have a few quirks and the “exhaust” air is quite hot, but these are minor complaints on an otherwise great vacuum.

Im so excited that I purchased another Carpet Pro. I had one for over 15 yrs, prior to this purchase, and I loved using. I was very disappointed when it stopped working. Anyone who has pets and/or kids or both, you should really purchase this Carpet Pro you will not be disappointed.

We love these vacuums for commercial use in the offices we clean every day because they are easy to push, and they are tough. Not so much plastic, as in so many others. This version is better than others they have, as the handle is all metal too.

Hardly any maintenance, bags aren’t too expensive, and just really reliable. Love the longer cord, could even be longer, but 40 instead of 30 is always good!.

This is actually a Panasonic vacuum private labeled. I have been using them for 25 years. They work incredibly well. In my opinion they are as good as vacuums that are 3 x the price. The only difference it that you need to purchase bags, though they are very inexpensive.

I bought a 2nd hand Dyson a few years ago for $100 from a neighbor who upgraded hers. It’s done a good job but for the same if not cheaper price the Eureka PowerSpeed outperforms the Dyson. First off the weight alone is a game changer.

At 11. 5 pounds the Eureka is 10 lbs lighter than my Dyson. It’s not that I can’t handle carrying 20 lbs up and down 3 flights of stairs in my home, but when you eliminate 10 lbs. it makes a noticeable difference.

Next feature my Dyson doesn’t have the the wand tool. I’ve had previous vacuums with a wand tool and for cleaning out the car or the couch I’ve been using a shopvac. My shopvac has the same crevasse tool the Eureka does (Somewhere lost in the back of a closet) but the handle on the Eureka gives me a much better reach and much less hunching over.

Plus when I’m finished with the crevasse tool, it slips right back into it’s home on the vacuum vs. the back of a closet (I think). It doesn’t seem like it should make that big of a difference on paper or when comparing features of a vacuum online, but it’s kind of a game changer if I may be so bold to say so.

Head to head vs. the Dyson they suck the same. You know those 3am infomercials where they spread broken glass across a carpet then run the featured vacuum across sucking everything up, not missing a shard and then the spokesmodel walks across the carpet barefoot unharmed to the oohhhs and ahhs of the studio audience watching on? Well I didn’t do that.

I didn’t have a jar of marbles to suck up and my 12 lb. bowling ball is in the shop so I didn’t put it up to any abuse tests. I just want it to suck up dirt. And from what I can see in the canister, it’s doing just that.

I just recently vacuumed not too long ago so maybe it’s sucking up dust and dirt the Dyson has been leaving behind all these years. Finally, not only is the the Eureka half the weight of the Dyson, it’s also half as loud.

I could probably get away with vacuuming in the basement with my daughter sleeping upstairs in her 2nd floor bedroom. I could do a decibel test with the smartphone and do a comparison of the two but there’s too big of a chance I’d wake my daughter running the Dyson.

Then my wife would be mad at me and I’d erase the huge points gain I made by getting her a new lighter and quieter vacuum. Now to the men out there reading this, I don’t recommend buying your wife this vacuum for her Birthday or Christmas (And for the love of all that is holy definitely not for Valentines day).

Buy this for yourself and don’t even mention it to your wife. As soon as it arrives, go outside and use the wand attachment to clean out your car. Then maybe to show off, vacuum up all the stones, mulch, dirt and such you’ve been tracking in the house off the front steps and by the front door.

Once your finished you’ll capture the attention of your wife and she’ll ask you to do the rest of the house while your at it instead of watching the football game. Ok so maybe that’s not so much of a positive there but at the end of the day wouldn’t you much rather do the work with one lightweight vacuum instead of one heavy vacuum and one awkward shopvac? I dare say that’s a Eureka moment my friend.

This vacuum is awesome! I have been looking for a “pet” vacuum for a while and I am so lucky to have gotten this one. I love that it has washable filters. Most other vacuums I have owned required the purchase of new filters.

I have a pomeranian, who I love dearly, but you know I have lots of pet hair to deal with. This vacuum does the job amazingly. The power nozzle that goes on the hose makes cleaning my furniture and dog beds a breeze.

It picks up much better than just a standard hose. Oh and the LED headlights are great as well. I can see what I am picking up in the not so bright areas of my home. Oh and we cant forget the cord rewind! I always hated winding the vacuum cord back up when I was done.

The cord rewind makes it so much easier to put the vacuum away, just push the button and I’m done. I just love it! I could go on and on about it. I highly recommend this one for sure.

Only drawback is the base will tip over if you stretch the hose too far, so keep an eye on it as you use the wand.

Cleaning stairs is easy with the “Lift Away” feature. The NV501 has strong suction and durability. Do your regular maintenance as other reviews have mentioned, and store it properly. It’s super easy to take apart when needed.

I accidentally sucked up a microfiber cloth once, but was able to open the hose at the right spot and pull the cloth right out. We’ve had our NV501 for almost a decade and still no problems. Have purchased this particular model as gifts for friends and family.

Highly recommended.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleI purchased my Shark Rotator Professional Lift away vacuum several years ago when my old vacuum stopped working. It works perfectly yet. I love seeing results and the fact that you can see through the dirt cup filling up with dust and debris brings much satisfaction.

You can hear it picking up literally the smallest crumbs which I also love. It’s lightweight and swivels so smoothly and it’s low profile base gets under the edges of our beds and recliner very easily without using the hose attachment or moving furniture.

The only downfall which isn’t even an issue because I love this vacuum so much is that the cord isn’t retractable. Both filters are incredibly easy to change too which is huge for efficiency and suction power.

The price seemed about average for vacuums I was looking at. If you’re interested in this but the price is too high for you, wait until around black Friday as I’ve seen these for almost $100 off at Kohls.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleI bought this off Amazon for $269 roughly a year ago after everyone in a Facebook group suggested I check out the shark vacuums. It works so much better than the cheaper vacuums I’ve always bought from Wal Mart.

This one has lights and the sucking power is strong. You can even adjust the suction power with a dial at the top. I don’t bother using any of the attachments when I use the hose and have no complaints.

It does require filters or filter cleanings and the cup on the front pops off for easy disposal. It could be a better design for the pop off compartment so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars. I always seem to spill just a little when I’m emptying it into the trash.

This vacuum is still going strong and I do recommend it to anyone asking for a great brand. The biggest pro for me is it works on my hardwood floors and my rugs! There’s even an indicator light that flashes red if something had your roller clogged.

I have a small apartment and was searching for a medium priced vaccuum of about the $250. 00 range when I purchased this item at an amazingly low price (less than $100. 00) thinking that it would be a loss but worth trying.

Not only has it turned out to be a spectacular performing vaccuum but I was amazed at how sturdily built it is. This is no thin walled piece of junk. I would say the it is better made than the last two disappointments I’ve purchased for twice to three times the price.

Even should it last only a year or two it would appear to still be a bargain as opposed to the last two that were definitely disappointing. I am not only pleased with it cleaning ability I am feeling rather smug that I took a chance and won.

I will admit that I purchased it open box and so expect it normally sells for slightly more but that just makes me feel even better for the purchase. Even at $125~$150 normal price I would still deem it a bargain.

As you can see in the photos I am still moving in but it has been filled and emptied maybe 8~10 times and performed flawlessly throughout that time. And I have much more carpeting arriving soon and am not worried in the least.

I had a Dyson that lasted 20 YEARS & it was wonderful until it just finally broke, took me 2 yrs to decide on another vacuum because of the various good/bad reviews, I bought a very cheap one until I could make a decision on a better one, BUT instead of spending $400-$500 on another dyson, I decided to give this one a try, on sale it was a great deal I thought! I do like it, BUT it is heavy, can get kinda backbreaking all the pushing & pulling & ONLY has 2 settings> hardwood or carpet, otherwise you can’t move it up or down for short or longer shag carpet/rugs & ect, so it goes full speed suction on everything & will shred a rug & get hung up in seconds.

Cord length is minimal, so have to constantly stop & plug it in closer. No light & only 2 attachments. It gets the job done I guess. I don’t know why in the world anyone would need a 3XL cannister but whatever.

It puts out A LOT OF HEAT, like pushing around a blowing heater. It has a good attachment for furniture & stairs. All in all, for $150 on sale, tax & all, it is a good buy! Hopefully it will last a few yrs!.

Great Black Friday Deal. No model is perfect. This is my 2nd shark. A few complaints on this model. 1. The power cord placement. If you are not holding or manipulating the powercord, because of its placement on the unit it can wrap under the neck at the base.

Then if/when you try to lock it in the upright position the cord can get pinched. Even possibly damaged if you force it not realizing. 2. It does’nt have the power switch on the handle like my other older Shark.

I constantly have to reach around to turn it off instead of pressing a button on the handle where my thumb is already. 3. The filters are different. Standardize to save everyone time and money. Does a great job otherwise.

They hold up better than a comparable model at the price. It’s a household vacuum that I use in my house like a shopvac and I’ve had shop vacs that didn’t last or do as well a job.

We’ve always had Dyson vacuums. They have incredible suction and I’ve literally never had issues with them. So shame on me when I thought we’d pick this up for the main level in our home (mostly hardwoods and rug coverage).

Well, we have 4 long haired dogs and need to vacuum a couple times a week and this thing clogs constantly. The roller brush on the front for hardwoods leaves massive clumps of hair and needs cleaning constantly.

The suction is less than any dyson I have, and I couldn’t dare imagine trying to use this on my real carpet in the basement. Good thing I left my dyson down there for the basement carpet. Sad I wasted my Sam’s rewards on this last year.

My hubby just bought this vacuum for us today. I never thought I could be so in love with a vacuum lol. After spending half an hour at a time vacuuming due to our horrible vacuum, we had to get a new one.

With 2 cats & 2 kids making constant messes & keeping me busy I couldn’t stand taking so long to vacuum. This one was the breadwinner! The cleanview is everything I could’ve wished for. It was very affordable, lightweight, amazing suction, and I can vacuum while the kids are sleeping & they don’t even budge.

I WISH I would have taken a picture of everything it got in the living room ALONE. So much dirt & hair. I love it’s one swipe technology. Took less than 5 minutes to vacuum. This is everything I needed.

If you are looking for a upright don’t settle for less than Bissell 2790, especially if you have pets and have to clean frequently. I made a terrible mistake in the past buying a cheap vacuum but at least I learned that I would never purchase another vacuum which does not have a rewinding cord and does not turn off brush rotation.

Bissell 2790 was a cheapest vacuum that had a brush disengaging mechanism which is very important for using hand attachments. I couldn’t dream about this vacuum having also a swivel steering but it proved to be a swivel-rewind vac! It’s even has a dedicated brush on/off switch in addition to the brush roll automatically shutting OFF when vacuum is locked in upright position.

But this is not all – you don’t need to bend to adjust brush position each time when moving from hard floor to carpet as it’s done autumatically. There are even 2 led lights to make vacuuming easier in dark areas.

The vacuum came very fast directly from Bissell which sells it through Walmart for less than on Amazon. Plastic seems of good quality. Assembly doesn’t require any tools. The vacuum is not light, more like of average or below average weight because it has a powerful motor to suck through a HEPA filter.

Despite of the weight it was so easy to navigate around because of the swivel steering. This is the best vacuum I ever had.

Like our last Bissell that was a workhorse on pet hair for many years longer than it really should have lasted, this vacuum is great on picking up pet hair. However, there are alot of little flaws in it.

1. There’s no secondary handle, so you have to lift it up the stairs with 1 hand. On this one, when you lift partially on the cannister it pops right off. This vacuum is not super heavy, but it’s not light either, especially having to lift it with one hand.

2. The cord rubber is super thin. If you accidentally run over the cord it gets shredded. I don’t make this a habit, but it happens, this was never an issue with my Shark upright. 3. The clip for the extender doesn’t keep it in place.

It always falls off and then when you need it you have to go back through the house to see where it fell off. 4. The Turbo Erase Pet attachment won’t work on dog beds. No matter what setting, the brush stops working when you try to use it on a dog bed.

All but #1 were an issue wit our former Bissell as well. I was hoping it was a fluke with that model but it wasn’t. I love how much Bisselll supports shelter pets, which is why I went with another one, all other things being equal, but might not again when this one needs to be replaced.

Overall it is a great vacuum for the price, these little things are just really irritating.

I waited to write this review because I wanted to use this vacuum a few times before I reviewed it. I like this vacuum. I like the ease of the cord being automatically rewound, the color, the great suction power, the tools, and the ease of the container being emptied, and the ease of having to put it together, which was very simple.

The reason for the 4 stars. only because I couldn’t find an area on this vacuum to store the triangular shaped tool. I just lay it close to the storage area with the vacuum. I like the pet hair removal tools, too.

This vacuum does a real good job on getting all the debri and cat hair up from the rugs and the furniture. I’ll take it easy with this vacuum. Only because most parts seem to be of a less weight of plastic material.

My last vacuum was a Hoover, which had a firmer material it was made of. It lasted me quite a long time. Just until the pedal that switches it on and off snapped off and broke. lol. I was a little rough with that one.

It could handle it over the years. But, with this one, I’ll take more care in handling and not scratching it up. I want to keep it nice as it looks right now. thank you Fingerhut & Bissell. Hope it last as long as the Hoover.

First time trying Bissell. Not as noisy as my old vacuum, too!.

This is a well-made, well-designed vacuum. It auto adjusts to different carpet heights and to hardwood floors. Very easy to use with excellent pick-up of debris. Although not self-propelled it feels as though it is.

Extra-long, heavy-duty, grounded power cord. It is lighter in weight than our previous Sharp and Eureka vacs. Below the power cord holder is a nice hand hold that makes it easier to carry up stairs. Sizable bag capacity.

Accepts Riccar 2000 and 4000 series bags such as the EcoPpure which is an ultrafiltration (HEPA) bag. Ours is the CPU-2T which includes a few tools. My only complaint is that the brush and crevice tools do not fit the hard plastic hose extension, thus tool reach is minimal.

I will probably purchase the longer hose as a solution.

Incredible bargain for a commercial upright! Powerful suction with solid construction for a no frills machine. Metal parts where you need them. Onboard tools are nice but could use a longer hose. An optional hose kit is available online for about $30.

Not too heavy and pushes and pulls very nice. We have two dogs so it gets used frequently. Really does a nice job picking up the hair and making the carpet look fresh. Only time will tell on how it will hold up but based on the construction, I’m sure it will last much longer than the $300 – $500 residential vacumns we have owned in the past.
