This product is great quality! Definitely have a straight knife or box cutter when trimming film along window. I used a credit card between the knife and window to get a clean straight line. Plenty of water helps with positioning.

Make sure to use a squeegee or a towel between the credit card and film so you don’t scratch it. You can’t see inside during daylight and once it gets pretty dark out you can start to see inside just as the description says.

You may have a Jeep Wrangler 2dr soft top with half doors like my 2015 Sport model. The rear window may get jacked up. The zippers break, the window is just worthless. You may want to replace just the rear window.

Good luck! BEWARE! If you go to your good old Jeep dealer or Mopar, they want $300. just for the rear “curtain”. BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! You get 2sides and the rear window for same price. As good if not better than Jeep/Mopar factory stuff.

Bought my Jeep used, and have no idea if the soft top is OEM. This year one of the side window zippers broke. Tried a repair and botched it so decided to replace all the windows (they were scratched up when I bought it).

These fit better than the windows that came with the Jeep. They look great and feel like a quality product. Could have been a bit cheaper, but I feel that way when I buy anything.

Great product, fit is perfect, love the dark tint. Only thing is the fabric is not exact match to factory top. It’s very close and it still looks good but it is off just a little bit. Overall great buy!.

Bought this product for my Q50s tail lights and let me tell you for a first time, not bad. If you have enough patience I recommend you to buy it and wrap it yourself is really easy to work on. This was one of the easiest wraps I’ve ever done no air bubbles neither wrinkles whatsoever it all came out smooth and perfect!!! My Q50S looks much better now so thanks for this!.

takes is patience and don’t use a credit card!! Purchase yourself a felt tipped squeegee. only problem with would be the installer. clean surface with alcohol before applying. and no, a hair dryer will not be enough heat to set it.

Works as intended and I have no experience of applying any tints or wraps and its not very difficult if you have proper equipment.

I bought two rolls of this stuff about two weeks apart. I used up the first roll learning how to apply it correctly. I made a lot of rookie mistakes the first time around. After figuring out what I was doing–more or less–I purchased a second roll and managed to do a decent job of covering the driver’s and passenger’s windows in my Class C motorhome.

Here are some recommendations: 1) DIY window film commonly comes in 20-, 24-, and 30-inch wide rolls. There aren’t too many vehicles that the 20-inch stuff will be tall enough to fit, and even the 24-inch film may not be tall enough for your application.

To avoid anger and frustration, measure your windows before you buy the film. 2) Remember, it’s not a race. Take your time and be patient–you’ll thank yourself in the end. 3) Do a thorough job of cleaning the glass and surrounding window frame inside and out, including the window gaskets, using a lint-free cloth or special glass cleaning-specific paper towels (not the stuff from your kitchen, which not only leaves a lot of lint behind but is treated with a chemical that leaves a residue on the glass).

4) To cut the film to the shape of your window, I found it easier to use the outside of the window on the opposite side of the vehicle from where the film will be applied rather than working on the inside of the window.

I scotch-taped the film to the window frame at the top and sides–use quality name brand tape for easy removal–and went through a multi-step process of making a series of cuts to transform the rectangular piece of film into something just slightly larger than the inside surface of the glass on the opposite side of the vehicle where it was going to be applied.

5) Make sure your hands are nice and clean before peeling off the liner and actually applying the film to the window. 6) Do NOT touch the surface of the film once you have peeled off the liner–it won’t stick where it’s been touched.

For what it costs. This stuff is great. Takes some patience to apply. I agree with those saying they had issues cutting it. I’ve heard the pros use OLFA brand knives so I will try that when I decide to use some good ceramic tint.

that’s hilarious. Is this super easy to install like the package suggest? No, but it’s not impossible. It requires patience which most people nowadays don’t have. The people leaving the bad reviews are the kinda people we have to put HOT!! on coffee cups for so they don’t burn themselves.

I read one from a supposedly certified mechanic who couldn’t handle this stuff. Wouldn’t want him working on my car. There were several other winners but don’t let them discourage you from trying this product.

You want professional grade. Go pay one.

Great price! Works great to keep my west-facing office cool. I can still easily see outside- it just looks like an overcast day, which is fine with me. My only regret is that I didn’t buy this product in the beginning of the summer.

It would have made the high temps much easier to live with. My one and only “complaint” is that its extremely difficult to cut it straight, which in turn, makes it extremely difficult to install it over your windows evenly.

Next time I’ll take the entire sheet, press it in place over my window and then use a box cutter to trim the edges. Trimming it while it lays flat on your counter is like trimming water – its too wiggly.

But I highly recommend this if you have a room in your house that gets way too hot!!.

this stuff is one step above trash. I mean yeah, it does the job KIND of, but let’s get real everyone. this is not at all what any of us want for tint on our cars. first off, it distorts the light and makes everything blurry.

so using it on a car is out of the question. unless you’re not a smart guy like me, and decide “eh I can deal with everything being blurry” it’s stretchy so you can put it where you want but it snaps back too hard so it doesn’t stay.

if you somehow DO manage to get it stretched and to stay (which is impossible with soap and water to let it move around– you’d need it to be dry), the part that stretched has to be the entire film otherwise you get weird stretch marks / lines that make the view even MORE distorted.

look, I’m an ASE certified mechanic. I know my way around cars. this is the last product I’d ever recommend for AUTO uses. however, for darkening a room in a house? it would be SUPER easy to do and I would recommend it for that.

Tinted back window of 04’silverado. Came out decent, product was easy to work with, but better if you have two people. Did back window myself and dropped it and got lint and a few bubbles but you can’t hardly notice.

The instructions allowed the product to be easily utilized. Just make sure you pay attention to the directions

This tint was super easy to install and was easy to cut and position on the glass, the entire kit is worth the purchase, you do not need anything other than a place to cut the film. Once it dried, I used the provided blade to trim a rough corner and it didn’t tear or crease.

and just like the direction said, use plenty of soapy water and this install is a breeze!.

This brand does cost a little bit more BUT! After waiting my money on the cheaper brands and getting poor results. I highly recommend this brand for your first choice. It’s much easier to work with. Very smooth and softer.

Strong tint. But……will not stay on window. Glue on backing is not sticky enough. Called and was suppose to get a call back and nobody called back.

Nice thickness , nice color i like the boxes how they seal now the key part its in the shrinking if you are amateur this is a hard material to shrink you have to be carefull how much heat because you can easily burn it if you are a pro like alot of us are it takes one time to know how to work the material.

The tint is excellent for flat glass where no shrinking or very little is involved. Its a nightmare to shrink and nearly impossible on a back glass. Has excellent adhesive and scratch coat

It’s great just be sure to get correct length I went to measure my window and 20 was 1 inch longer than my window and I accidentally ordered the 20 needed 24

The only reason I bought this kit was for the squeegee. You can make the spray solution yourself. However I will admit my tint did adhere to the windows better than having made my own solution. The razor knife was just a standard razor cutter.

It came with a lint cloth which was kinda ok. It was way too small to be included in a window tint kit in my opinion. The squeegee is shaped perfectly and I found myself using it for nearly every part of the application.

Overall I think this is a good kit. It may seem a little expensive at first glance but once you start using the things and the convenience of having a solution already mixed and the squeege, those two pay for themselves.

It was a nice kit. I would rather go with a bottle water and baby shampoo mix. The blade was helpful and so was the cloth for removing tough to reach glass stains and glue. I chose this kit given my autozone rewards, but would rather save my money and purchase/make items separately.

For starters, I would say it is a great place to start and get used to the tools required.

Product works well. I would suggest people watch a few online videos of how to install properly before attempting. You do need a sharp blade, a squeegee and the solution to make the tent stick to the window.

You do not have to buy a premade solution. After watching an online video I found out you just need a spray bottle with a little bit of clear soap and water. I found the most difficult part of the job was separating the tent from the clear backing.

After a little research I found out you just take a little bit of tape on the front and back and use that to lift it apart.

I’ve never window tinted before, and if you have, then you are aware that it’s a lot trickier then you may believe it to be,to begin with. that being said I bought a box not knowing really how much I’d get out of it, not because the dimensions on the box were wrong but Becusse I didn’t know how bad I’d suck at it.

The first box I did the front and rear side windows and they came out not so bad- any problem or complaint I had was my fault completely. Doing the other side after buying another box went wrong so then got another box and re tried- satisfied mostly with my effort…then I bought one more box for the back yesterday and failed miserably on the long stretch and that got trashed.

All in all,it’s tricky so be prepared to suck at it and or get creases and bubbles, mine came out good after re directing more concentration to the actual application since it’s not quite as easy as it sounds.

One other thing is that I used a credit card to push out my air bubbles and straighten it all out and it easily nicks the film creating damage and/or a hole. Then you just look amateur no matter what do you might aswell junk that section and re start.

Use plenty of application spray st all times and take to ur time. Good product for the money- it didn’t kill me to waste a few boxes but that’s to be expected, unless your a straight up G. Cheers.

I have always used soapy water to apply window film but decided to give this product a try. What a mistake. This leaves a white film between the window tint and the glass. Save yourself some $$ and use soapy water.

Came quick. Cloth works great. Spray does the job. Good buy

I was worried about mixing my own lacquer to dye clear lacquer black, but Mixol is a surprisingly easy product to use. It’s 5 parts paint or lacquer to 1 part Mixol to get the desired intensity of color.

I will eventually use Mixol for staining projects as well. Excellent product!.

Tried this product to darken a light color chocolate to a darker chocolate shade. Used the whole bottle but didn’t see any change to the darker shade I was looking for. Maybe black was the wrong choice to use but I thought it would darken it at least a little.

Mixol worked really well for my application. I had to add a yellow aging effect to some red oak cabinets and this product did just the trick. Easy to add small amounts and mixes well! Very satisfied!

I used this paint to paint a headstock on a Fender Candy Apple Red P-Bass to match the body. I sanded the headstock and wiped it down with a tack cloth and then took my time masking off the headstock.

Then I sprayed the headstock with some Stew Mac white vinyl sealer as an underlay to make the paint pop. When that was dry I used three coats of this Spaz Stix Candy Apple Red until I thought I had a match in color and depth to the color on the Bass guitar body I was trying to match.

Then I gave that three coats of Spay Max 2K clear coat. The paint went on smoothly and the color match was dead on. There are clear prep directions on this can of paint. Before I use any spray rattle can paint I always take the time to do the prep and heat up the can in a plastic bag sitting in a sink of hot tap water for about ten minutes to get the consistency of the spray to flow better.

I have not had that method fail along with shaking these cans until your arms are tired and then shaking them some more. That is really important. This paint does seem to take a bit longer to dry than some other paints.

I’ve found that when using Spaz Stix which I have done several times it’s better to do more light coats until you achieve color than fewer heavy coats. The paint pops more also. I don’t go by how long in between coats that it says on the can.

You really have to look at this paint in the right light to know when it has flashed off. I’d say another ten minutes more than they say on the can. If you want any paint job to last you have to clear coat otherwise you can’t cry about paint chipping off when you bump into things with your new paint job.

I clear coat and will not touch it for four days afterwards with Spaz Stix. Prep patience and clear coat. Gets the job done every time. I used this paint for a purpose which it was not intended and achieved great results.

Bottom line if you have an idea as to what you want to do make sure you read instructions and take the time to learn. Spaz Stix has worked on this project and several pickguard paint jobs I’ve done and flawlessly so!.

Like the title says, this is only a 3. 5 oz can, but it has a great effect if applied properly. You must use this paint on a smooth surface and have a backer paint applied (preferably black) for the most mirror chrome effect.

Make sure to apply it lightly to your surface (by spraying only a squirt of paint from a good distance away) and not spray it heavily onto your surface. I have found that will give you the best effect.

If you buy this product, good luck and I hope you get good use out of it!.

This paint is not for everyone. it’s not intended to be used outside and it really can’t be coated with a clear coat without destroying it’s shine. (Even the clear coat they make will change how it looks) However, that being said, if you use it properly it will give you an amazing finish.

For my project I sprayed it on the back of some clear Plexiglass and it gives the appearance of a mirror on the other side. I use a CNC to etch reverse graphics in the plastic and once sprayed the image on the opposite side looks amazing.

If you spay Spaz Stix first and then etch you can even highlight your graphics with a different color. Note: you must still protect the back side or you can easily scratch off the mirror finish. I’ve used both gloss black and gloss clear coat and either one will work.

I purchased the Nightvision 25 for two reasons; privacy and heat reduction. During daylight hours the privacy is quite good (there is no added privacy at night with the lights on). And while the daylight entering the room is significantly reduced it does soften the overall light and reduce glare, which is a nice effect.

However, so far I have not been impressed with the heat reduction aspect. That has seemed insignificant. I haven’t run any scientific experiments, mind, but in my experience so far the heat coming in through the windows has not reduced the overall temp in the room on a hot/high sun intensity day since having the product installed.

While standing near the window you can feel the heat coming through. For privacy and glare reduction I would recommend – not sure I would if someone is looking for heat reduction.

Our home has 5 windows, 10 panes on the West side. There isn’t anything to block the heat of the afternoon and evening sun from the windows. We’ve always keep the blinds closed to help prevent some of the heat entering the room.

Before the installation, our house would get to 78-80 degrees with the A/C running non-stop from about 2 pm to 11 pm. We researched and read reviews which for the most part were positive. We obtained 2-bids from professional installers, both with high ratings.

Both installers recommended the Night Vision 15 as it’s supposed to reject 71% of the sun’s heat, which is the only reason we wanted to tint the windows. We hired the professional installer and they did a good job, however the heat is just as intense through the windows as it was before.

We were sadly disappointed to see no reduction in the temperature or the amount of time the A/C has to run each day. No savings on the power bill and it’s just as hot standing next to the windows as it ever was.

The only benefit is the reduced glare but this isn’t why we purchased the product. We needed to reduce the amount of heat coming through the windows.

I have southern facing windows that cover the whole back of my house. We had Night Vision 15, 25 and 35 films installed a couple of weeks ago. I no longer have to have my shades pulled during the day to keep the heat and UV rays out of my house.

The glare on my TV has been reduced. I believe the rooms are cooler than they would have been without the film, too.
