20 Best Table Saw Blade For Ripping Hardwood (2023 Updated)

i use Diablo blades in all of my Circular saws, recip saws and grinders. However, the sawsquatch SkilSaw made by Skil comes with the 10 1/4 blade. when cutting or ripping the blade wobbles. i thought it was the saw.

returned the saw and got a replacement. happened again. i bought a BigFoot blade and it worked great. the wobble on the Diablo blade bends in the wood. no way to fix it other than running an 8 1/4 or smaller saw and cut twice just to stay on the line.

Diablo, please fix this issue. cant be the same problem on both saw with 2 different blades.

I run these on all my table saws. Does t matter if I’m ripping plywood or running oak or cherry. This is a great all-in-one blade. The deal is you have to keep your blades clean. Pitch build up is going to make people think they have a dull blade.

Let me tell you that the carbide tips on these blades are incredibly durable. I take a Tupperware tub and fill it with a diluted simple green solution. Let the blade soak for 5-10 minutes and then hit it with a nylon brush.

Hand dry the blade, spray it with some BladeCote, put her back on the arbor and you’re good to go. I’ve got five table saws and some of these blades I’ve ran for years. I use my saws daily. These things hold up and withstand a lot of abuse.

For under $30/ blade I get very similar results from the blades I’ve spent over $100 for. Keep the blade clean and use BladeCote.

I used this in my tablesaw to cut up a 1/4″ Optix acrylic sheet. It did a very nice job with only minor saw marks and no melting. At first I was worried that the blade would chip or crack it but nothing like that happened.

I had really nice cuts that easily cleaned up with 220 grit and up water paper.

Used in a dewalt 7485. It rips very clean and very strait. I was worried the heavier beefier blade may be too big for the small saw but it didn’t slow down the feed rate at all. Would purchase again, big upgrade from the flimsy thin blade that comes with the saw.

Started using these blades several years ago. Have a 1960 era Craftsman Radial Arm saw that is under-powered compared with today’s more efficient motors. This blade increase my capacity to rip material that otherwise I could not rip.

Also, very easy to sharpen with a Dremel tool using their diamond coated disk (tool mounted in a jig).

We acquired 2 of the CMT 24 tooth 7-1/4 framing blades from morrison Brothers building center in concord nc and after cutting new and old nasty lumber – plywood/osb on a remodel job i was truly impressed we use strictly diablo blades just for the performance and longevity we get from diablo but this CMT blade held its ground and really impressed everyone.

It cut just like the diablo smooth and fast didn’t chip the osb board like other blades would have even though its a rough cut blade and is still sharp like new even after we found a few nails cutting the old floor out.

I think we will see more orange on our saws for a while and their a bit cheaper than diablo so thats another plus especially since everything is going through the roof in price.

I was not sure I made the right choice after I ordered this blade. I came across some reviews for this same blade but on a different site and a lot of the reviews was not good. They said it was China and poor quality.

After receiving the blade I installed and made a couple cuts. I was impressed this blade cut as good if not better than the Forester when it was new. I will be buying another one if you still have them in the near future.

My cuts were on 3/4 x 6 red oak. Cut like hot butter. The cut was planer smooth.

I have been using CMT router bits for many years and are my go to bit brand. So I decided to try they saw blades knowing of the quailty of there router bits. CMT did not disappoint, what a great blade.

Cuts through plywood like butter, no vibration, and cuts are clean on my veneered plywood. I would recommend these blades to anyone in the market for a new blade.

This is one of two blades that I use frequently on my table saw. I use a Freud Industrial 24t for ripping and this blade for all my crosscutting and also for ripping sheet goods. The little material diagram on the blade doesn’t list any of the cuts in the “Excellent” category and plywood cuts are listed as “Fair”.

Freud must be very conservative when rating their own blades because it does a great job cutting all of it. I’ve cut birch ply quite a bit with a very thin veneer and it’s a perfect, splinter free cut every time.

More recently, I cut about 50 2″ lengths of bloodwood for an end grain cutting board. If you are not familiar with the wood, it is a beautiful wood, but very dense and has a dulling effect on blades and the wood has a tendency to splinter.

This blade cut through the bloodwood beautifully and still gave me splinter free cuts on plywood afterwards. While I’m sure there are better 60+ tooth blades for what I do, this blade has not let me down yet and the price is fantastic for a Freud Industrial series blade.

The Industrial line has very thick carbide teeth for more sharpening, but I haven’t had to sharpen it yet, despite using it very often. Overall, a very good blade and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile 60 tooth blade.

I got the blade withy table saw 15 years ago. It has been sharpened several times and is missing a few teeth. I have 4 other blades but none of them cut as easy as this one. I am going to buy a mother one just to have on hand when this one gets dull.

Its life is about over.

I’ve been using these blades on my cordless Rigid saw for years. They’re great blades and hold a good edge for a very long time. Can’t beat the price.

Great cutting blade. I use it on framing and trim. It makes a very smooth, fine cut, and it cuts effortlessly. The only trick is to let the blade spin up to full speed before cutting. This saves wear on the blade.

NOTICE: This blade comes with a 1″ arbor hole, as do all 12″ saw blades. The only problem is my DeWalt miter saw has a 5/8″ arbor. To use this blade on your DeWalt miter saw, you must buy DeWalt Part # 152636-00, which is the adaptor you will need to use a 1″ arbor hole blade on a saw with a 5/8″ arbor, and install it in the arbor hole.

The Dewalt tablesaw has been incredible. The saw comes with a 24 blade general construction blade. I decided I get a 60-tooth blade for finer cuts. The Dewalt blades are excellent and tge kerf size and width of the saw blade accommodate the table saw perfectly.

The blade arrived new, quickly, and undamaged at a great price. I am very happy with the purchase.

Love this product. Never had it kickback, burn, or chip the wood i was working with. I cut reclaimed pallet wood for furniture i build. Other blades go dull dull faster than i would like. You can make at least two times the cuts with this blade.

Price of these blades are very close or even to other competitors.

Let me first say that I have been using Forrest blades for more than 25 years. I’ve always considered them to be the cream-of-the-crop. Bought my 3rd WW ll thin kerf about a month ago. Fortunately I have developed the habit of checking the welds where a carbide cutter is connected to a steel core (ie a router bit).

I found a carbide tooth on the saw blade that was out of alignment and barely attached. Obviously this could have cost me an eye. Forrest repaired it promptly (though they didn’t send a different blade as I requested).

I cannot post a photo here but I am going to “Rockler Woodworking “ next to post a photo. The moral is do not get complacent because you are dealing with a normally reputable manufacturer!.

So I haven’t used this blade a lot , just a couple cuts. I have to give it a fair chance. I ripped some knotty alder with both blades. They both seem to cut vary well. Not saying my saw is aligned perfectly.

But both cut a good glue line cut. The Forrest blade might have been a little smoother, but was very hard to detect. Operator error causes a lot. Conclusion that I think the other blade cut just as good as the Forrest blade.

This is the first time I’ve had a Forrest, I’ve always wanted to try them. That being said, I’m not really all that impressed with the results. I think it is a very well made blade, I did notice how thick the carbide is.

But cut quality wasn’t much better as with the other blade. More use might change my mind.

Very good blade, perfectly straight, good and sharp. First blade I purchased for my 3hp Saw Stop so hard to compare to others but very happy so far. I have used it to rip and cross cut 4/4 hard maple and walnut.

Also used on 3/4 maple and walnut plywood and mdf core. I also cut hardrock particle board and it cut very nice in all of them. Very minimal chipout on backside of sheet goods with stock tabkesaw insert.

Would probably do even better with a zero clearance insert.

This saw blade is the best for ripping and does quite well with other cuts as well. When it arrived, I held it up like it was Simba. Just beautiful. And Tools Plus is great too. Delivered it so quick and it was packaged very well.

Quit reading reviews and just make the damn purchase. YEE YEE.

I use Freud saw blades almost exclusively. Their quality is what keeps me buying more. This blade is made in Italy. It is extremely sharp. Ripping hard maple is effortless and smooth.

Doing a lot of intricate trim. Does on occasion leave a hairy cut depending on wood type and size. Otherwise works well.

Great price. Can’t wait for snow to go to use it. Have to cut pvc outside.

For finish work this is a GREAT BLADE.CLEAN CUTS….

I used a value priced combo blade on my table saw for a long time. And I thought it was doing a pretty good job until I ran some plywood with a thin oak veneer through my saw. I thought about having it sharpened but decided to upgrade instead.

Now that was a good move! I put this blade on my saw as soon as I received it and ran a piece of that oak plywood through it. What a difference! There are more expensive blades out there, but I can’t imagine they will beat the cut quality of this blade.

If you’re on the fence about this blade, don’t be, I can’t say enough good things about it.

Just wanted you to know I love your amazing 10 T. K. Combination Saw Blade 50T. I have had it a couple of weeks now and been cutting a lot of super hard Ipe. Cuts through it almost effortlessly. The cuts, both ripping and cross grain, are VERY clean and smooth.

If I feed it too fast there is the tiniest bit of tear-out on the back of the wood. I mean really really tiny specks of tear out. in cross grain cuts. Simply slowing down the feed stopped that. The thin kerf and whatever else it is you guys do with the design make it a pure pleasure to work with.

This appears to be a high quality saw blade. I checked it for cutting quality by ripping and crosscutting both hardwood and 3/4 ” birch veneer plywood. I was impressed with the smoothness of the cut as well as the minimal amount of tear out on the bottom side of the plywood when cross cutting.

I checked the run out and found it to be +/-. 001″ which is comparable to 2 Forest 40 tooth thin kerf blades I have. The only reason I did not give this blade a 5 star rating is because I have not used it enough to know how well it will do in long term use.

This is my first dedicated rip blade. I didn’t know how effective it would be, but it’s way better than the combination blade I was using before. Very smooth cut, no burning, wood chips cleared away very efficiently.

I bought the 12” Hercules miter saw that came with a similar blade so when I saw this go on sale I didn’t hesitate. I bought this for my 10” table saw to use for general purpose so I don’t dull my expensive blades that I use when making furniture.

I am by no means saying that I couldn’t use this but this blade is thinner so I don’t want to take the chance of deflection during cutting taking off a dimension. So far this blade has been performed exceptionally, very sharp giving clean cuts.

Hadn’t bogged down during either cross or rip cuts and leaves a really cut surface. These are my go to general purpose blades, won’t even look at another brand. My 60T 12” blade has been staying sharp so I expect the same from this one.

Every Hercules branded tool I have bought to date has been a home run, hats off to you Harbor Freight!.

I don’t use this blade as intended, I bought a walk behind lawn edger and converted it in to a stump grinder. I use these blades to grind the stumps. I have used the blades to grind eight stumps six of them were 23-30 inches across and the blades cut as good on the last one as the first I grind down to ground level and with the carbide teeth if you hit a rock it won’t destroy the blade.

one tough saw blade. My only problem is I knocked one of the knock out diamonds out while flexing the blade across a stump, you end up going from a 5/8” hole to about a 1” diamond shaped hole. I added a flat washer between the two blades and on the outsides and kept grinding.

You can see that I punish these saw blades and they keep going like the energizer bunny. I recommend these blades.

I was looking for a higher tooth saw blade for my 12″ miter saw, so I can make finish cuts. This one was right in that sweet spot for me at 80t. So, I bought this blade to make sure that my hardwood floor cut pieces did not any rough looking cuts on ends that would be exposed.

This blade is eating right through the hard wood, with ZERO issues AND it’s lasting. meaning, some blades when cutting hardwood, will dull out after just a few uses. This one has made enough cuts so far, to complete almost 1000 sf of 3/4″ European White Oak flooring.

And it’s still cutting with no issues. I will also be using this for finish cuts on a couple other projects that I need to build. A shoe bin and coat rack area (mud room) as well as floating shelves.

When it’s time for a new blade, I will be getting this blade again.

Been using Dewalt corded but now that I purchased my milwaukee m18 2732-20 and this blade came with it. This blade is a thin kerf and super sharp. Cuts through the wood like it’s melted butter. Should have made this switch a long time ago.

I would rate this blade better than the diablo I used in my Dewalt. Perfect combination, cordless, cuts true, ultra portable. Win win win.

I have been framing for a solid two years and the Milwaukee blades hold up as the best blade because of its durability! Much better than Dewalt and the diablo blades and it’s worth the money because it’s able to withstand a lot more abuse from cutting metal as well! Never will I switch to another blade other than this one.

Their Reciprocating saws are also the best demo blades too and I recommend anyone trying them as someone who has used diablo and Dewalt blades for renovating jobs and demo!.

This blade came with my rear handled circular saw. I have been using it to cut 2x10s and pressure treated 4x4s for a deck. I don’t even know how many cross cuts I’ve made with it so far and it’s still cutting like it’s brand new.

The saw itself is really powerful but no matter what kind of saw you have, a dull blade won’t cut. At roughly $10 a blade, you’ve got a great price for what seems like a quality blade. I will continue to buy this product.

As a joiner of 30 years this must be the worst blade I have ever used,ones at half the price are much better,after a couple of hours cutting laminate floors they go completely dull,never again will I buy one of these blades.
