ABSOLUTE PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! Shoppers should look at the large number of 1-star ratings before buying this pool cover and before buying from this seller. Another customer had the same experience as I did but their cover disintegrated in four months.

Should I feel lucky that I got five months??? No! Should the company replace or refund my and the other customer’s money? Yes! Are they going to??? No!!! They are not standing behind their product. Their warrany is meaningless.

I’ve been buying pool covers for nearly 20 years and this is the first time a cover has not even made it through a single season. All others have lasted for at least two years! I am wondering if this cover sat in a warehouse for the past 2.

5 years during the pandemic. I will never again buy anything from “Save More on Pool Supplies”. What an ironic name! After 5 months of use, I need to Spend More on Pool Supplies to replace this bad cover.

I hope that Walmart takes a strong look at the vendor they are partnering with. I hope that Walmart sees that their own reputation is marred by the actions of their partners.

Awesome pool covers at a great price. I have an in-ground L shaped pool, so I ordered a larger size cover 40×24 and cut it to fit 36 X 15 X 22. Ordered the 12 Mil thick cover and it works much better than I expected.

Cold here at night (central Florida) 40and I have my pool heater set at 88 only running from 9 am to 5 pm. Actual water temperature during the day is about 86 because my pump and heater is 200′ from the pool.

When the system starts in the am, 16 hours later, with cover ON overnight my water temp for a 25K gallon pool has only dropped 2 or 3 degrees. It used to take till 5 pm to get my pool back up to temperature, this cover will pay for itself in energy savings very quickly.

I call that impressive.

We just opened up our 18 X 36 rectangular 1200 series Sun2Solar pool cover. It’s like saran wrap! It’s so thin it wants to tear and blow in the wind. I doubt that it will even be heavy enough to stay on the pool.

My last pool cover was 4 or 5 times this thick and cost half the price. I would NEVER buy this pool cover again. In fact, I will never order on line again. I’d rather pay more and see what I get before waiting to get something that isn’t what I expected and have to deal with it.

I needed a new solar cover for my pool as my previous blue cover was disintegrating and becoming a complete mess. This cover said it would raise the temp several degrees. After about 2 hrs of using it, the temp had gone up about 2 degrees, which was a good start.

It truly does heat all the way down, unlike my old blue cover which heated a lot about 2-3 inches on the top, but the rest of the pool was cold. I disagree with another reviewer about this being a cheap bubble wrap cover that was glued together.

Its a good quality vinyl bubble blanket. Another reviewer said it did a poor job of keeping debris out. This is not intended as a debris cover. Its main purpose is to heat the water a bit, and if it keeps a few leaves and bugs out, that’s a bonus.

It floats on top of the water to heat it, and it does a good job. Yes, you will have the debris that’s on top of the blanket drop into the water if you don’t remove it before taking it off. A simple dip with the skimmer will take care of it all.

And I can’t speak highly enough about the awesome site to store service! I love it! Its truly a wonderful feature that Walmart offers and it keeps me coming back for online purchases again and again.

Less than 30 days old and was falling apart. I couldn’t give it negative stars or I would. It did in deed increase the pool temp. too bad it didnt last. I am so glad I bought it through Walmart though because at least I could return it through the store.

I will buy another through them, just not this brand.

We bought the 8-mil cover for our 12-ft Intex above-ground pool. It works FANTASTIC. Not only does it keep bugs and airborne debris out but it heats the pool much warmer than the cheapo Intex “solar” cover we used last year and it doesn’t sink into the pool but floats on top.

After only 1 week of having the cover on in full sun the pool temp went from chilly to bath water warm. The cover is basically blue, extra thick bubble wrap. One side has bubbles and the other side is smooth – the smooth side is what you want touching the water as the water tension on the smooth side will keep it from being flown away by the wind.

We’ve had some very strong wind storms and it has stayed in place. Just to be safe we bought a 50ft polypropylene rope we cris-cross across the top of the pool when the cover is on. I highly recommend.

My only complaint is that it is slightly oversized for our 12ft pool but I still give it 5 stars.

My wife loves the solar cover. she says that the pool is the warmest that its ever been. When other sellers were out of stock of solar covers BJ’s came through for us. It took five days to arrive but arrive it did.

It came with its own storage bag too. The price was very affordable compared to other sellers. We are very happy that bj’s had this great product. Covid19 has caused a run on pools and pool supplies.

It’s the perfect above ground pool. Seems sturdy and can fit quite a bit of people so perfect for a big family . I also love that it came with a repair kit just in case .

I bought 3 of these covers for my indoor pool. This cover actually works rather well given it is basically quite similar to packing bubble wrap. The advantages are: the thin gauge of the material renders the cover very light.

(Note the dry weight is 2. 6 lbs. ). My pool is 40 ft. long and removal of the heavy gauge solar bubble covers was an exhausting job. I use very light sanitation so the material is not subjected to the caustic chemicals needed for sanitation of an outdoor heavily used pool.

Furthermore, my covers receive very little direct sun which no doubt would further degrade the material. The thin gauge and light weight of the material are both an advantage and disadvantage. The advantage is the cover is easy to remove.

The disadvantage is the pool pump forces one cover to collide with the contiguous cover(s). In part, I have solved this by anchoring the cover with a weight to hold it in place. When the placement (of the cover) is disturbed, water will cover part of the cover rendering the saturated surface area useless since the surface water will evaporate.

In fairness, I had this problem with heavy gauge covers. Note that I am NOT using this product to retain pool water heat. Rather, I am using this to reduce evaporation. While I have a Desert Aire dehumidification unit my monthly utility bills are $1,000/month.

If you have an indoor pool this will help to reduce evaporation. While I have considered a stationary installed pool cover, I have decided against it since they are hideous looking.

In previous years I’ve have purchased other brand covers. They have lasted a couple years each The last one was destroyed a few years back. Last year we tried to purchase one, but they were not in supply due to everybody being home during covid.

That was a pain. We ended up having to cut up black contractor bags and floating them around the top of the pool. It helped but it was not ideal. This spring I purchased the Intex cover. We have a 10 ft diameter pool.

I read that these covers ran small so I got a 12 ft one. I put it on the pool and cut it down to size. I find that it does work great to keep the debris out over the pool. The cover fits properly on the water, it’s almost adhered to it as far as strong breezes and wind is concerned.

The jury is still out whether it heats up the water. Although, I’m pretty sure it helps. The reason I say this is we had moved it to a different location in the yard this year. Our original location was more sunny, but dangerously close to the house foundation, lol.

The thing that I do notice about this cover is that it almost seems to be, I don’t want to say brittle, but it’s not as pliable as previous covers. I’ve seen other reviews where they’ve fallen apart.

I don’t know if this issue is contributing to that problem or maybe there’s too much chlorine in the pool causing the disintegration. Since you have to put the bubble side down on the water, that thin plastic is vulnerable.

So far, I have not had any problems with that. I will knock on wood and keep my fingers crossed that it lasts another month and a half! I think I paid about $30 for this cover. Overall I’ve been pretty happy with it.

If it does fall apart, hopefully it’ll be at the end of the swimming season. I will probably just get another one. I guess. Although, I will shop around for the best price.

This definitely warms up the ***. it also keeps most of the debris out. I have had the other type of cover that wraps over the top of the blown up ring but it’s a pain to put on take ***. these work much better because they just float on the water.

I don’t need to wrap it around like the regular pool cover hope it stays. They just float stay ***. they’re awesome. Regarding the reviews saying they’re not durable, ***. you have to consider that they are just thick bubble wrap.

sitting in the sun. floating on chlorine. Soooo yeah, they get thinner sun bleached. start going bad after about a year kinda like a cheap car cover. I get a new one every season. They work great! The other covers don’t last any longer than these btw.

After a couple months of use, the water broke it down and the dots started separating everywhere which was unexpected. Very disappointed that it didn’t last because it did keep the pool covered and warmed up from the solar.

I have bought over 6 pool covers and other companies/ covers last at least 3 year and this was the worst and fell apart after 1 year. Bubbles started cracking after 1year. Bubbles fail because of chemicals??? Yes chemicals are in pools and how do they know my pool is not correct.

I have a pool service every week. So you suppose to rinse the top of the cover with fresh water every time you take it in and out of the pool. Makes no sense garbage. In the swim response: Bubble damage is not covered under warranty, because the manufacturer did research at the end of 2015 with their covers to try and figure out what causes bubble damage.

The most common reason they found was a chemical issue with the water of a customer’s pool. Whether it is a constant balance issue or an issue that happens just once, once chemicals deposit on a cover it stays there until clean fresh water washes it off.

Chemical issues with covers has never been covered under warranty, so in January 2016 they discontinued covering bubble issues under warranty.

We are long time In The Swim customers and have bought numerous solar covers. First, ITS did give us a new cover once when our new purchase was delaminated coming out of the box. Second, we know that the seven year warranty is a joke.

If you get 2-3 seasons you did OK. You might get one warranty coverage but no more. Three, this is absolutely the worst cover we have ever bought. It appears that the three pieces were not laid out flat when they were joined together.

This cover has been on the pool for a couple of weeks. It is not going to lay flat. To roll it up you have to go from one side of the roller to the other, perhaps 25 times to roll up the 32 foot length, pulling it out to each side again and again.

If you don’t, it will go to one side, have all the folds roll onto each other and make the final rolled product too large to fit on the roller. I suspect that there may only be one company in the world manufacturing these and that company provides all sellers.

In spite of that I will try another dealer next time.

The product works as expected. I have used solar covers for several years and this works fine with about a 5 degree advantage (primarily due to preventing heat loss during the night). It is a little thinner than my previous cover so its heat retention is not as robust but it does as advertised.

The thicker cover gave me an 8 degree advantage. My biggest complaint was the delivery delay. They simply did not contact me and tell me the product would be delayed. I called two separate times and was told the product had been delayed — but their email communications were nonexistent.

Initial delivery was supposed to be 5 days — it took 5 weeks. Fortunately, I had planned ahead but it did delay the pool use by 2 weeks. I would recommend the product but not the company and will return my business to a previous vendor.

Just took it out of box to put on pool. I like the cover and think that it will be fine, but the center creases were fused together and ripped some small holes in cover when you tried to unfold the crease.

I believe that excessive heat in storage must have caused the problem. I am hoping that this does not cause premature wear on the solar cover.

I have always enjoyed these floaties. They aren’t flimsy like most floaties. Plus the pockets come in handy as a drink holder! 🙂

The original cover ripped at the corners, the eyelets pulled through and new replacements don’t seem to be available. We’ve tried Gorilla Tape then bubble wrap, black polythene etc. this cover is the simplest to use and looks good.

It would be more efficient if it had slots to fit around the steps but I accept they may be a source of trouble as they may be the origin of tears. It’s a little larger than the surface area of the water but the excess falls against the sides of the pool to form an effective seal.

If you have an Intex 18’x9′ pool this is a must. Not only does it warm the water atleast 10 degrees, it also keeps any debris from the pool overnight. A review said it breaks down fr the sun. Not true.

This solar cover holds up very well. Its a game changer.

This version is much lighter than the ones we’ve had in the past, making it much easier to put in and to take out of the pool. One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t tolerate the elements (i. e.

direct sun, left out in the cold/high heat) very well, and break down into scales after a couple of years that’ll scatter all around. Best to keep it in the water and then in the shade for longest useful life.

If it starts to break down, you’ve got maybe one season left, so when you see those little blue discs floating in your pool, it’s time to get a new one. Looking forward to the compostable/biodegradable version, if it’s ever invented.

1. These are made of thin plastic. They leak. They are fragile. Easily damaged. A cheap inflatable swimming pool float is generally made of much hardier plastic. Out of 8 only 2 would hold air overnight.

I bought a vinyl plastic patch kit, inflated them, and submerged them to hunt for the leak holes. But I mostly found the input nozzle was the culprit. I couldn’t find the leaks anywhere else but nevertheless they were deflated by morning.

They come packaged very tightly folded up. This crushes the input nozzles. And appears to have permanently deformed them to where they will not hold air. The product is a great idea but should be made out of tougher plastic.

And a cardboard ring around the input nozzles to keep them from being deformed during shipping. 2. These are too expensive. I can buy a $9 air mattress that has slightly more square inches and is made of hardier material.

I am trying that next.

I do not know yet how these work as a solar cover, I just put them in my pool and we have had rain. BUT I was not happy with the quality. I ordered 9, everyone of them had deformed air stems because they were folded to the inside and flattened.

3 of them are leaking air quickly because they cannot form a tight seal. 3 others are leaking slowly. They are extremely expensive for what they are. They said only 9 for a 21′ pool but 1/3 of my pool is still exposed.

Now I am stuck ordering at least 4 more and like I said they are way too expensive. I would go with a cover. We are trying these because we have dogs and last year one jumped onto solar cover and had we not been there she would have drowned.

I am hoping that if something like that happens again they would be able to get off one of these and swim to the steps.

I purchased a dozen of these rings but to cover the entire pool I would have probably needed about 6 more. I wanted to see if they work before I bought any more. I am extremely happy with them as they have absolutely worked and my pool is warmer as the overnight temp doesn’t effect the water temp so drastically.

now please keep in mind Iim on California where it is fairly warm but the 4-5 degrees higher has made a huge difference and i actually done need to buy any more. This amount is working great.

Works as intended but is very brittle. Have to be cautious when putting on or removing from pool – feels like it will rip or tear at any moment.

Keeps the leaves out of the pool. Just heavy enough not to blow out with high winds, but we can pull it off the pool just fine.
