20 Best Sleeves For Magic Cards (2023 Updated)

I’m so glad these are back in stock. They are hands down my favorite card sleeves. They feel well in hand and are easy to shuffle. Out of the several hundred I own, I think I’ve only ever had ONE break on me.

One bad one out of at least 800 sleeves? Yes please Instructor!.

Sleeves are missing Ultra Pro stamp on the bottom of sleeves. They’re an older model with a grey-ish interior. Older model that I no longer believe is in print was a dark interior with the Ultra Pro stamp.

Be aware if you’re trying to match sleeves. Quality is still good, just not sure if they’re actually the same brand.

These are usually pretty great. Though my last pack had 10 sleeves with false bottoms. If I had to grade those it be pretty awful but it’s the first its ever happened so I still say 4 stars.

Bought these for one of my twins (both are avid Magic the gathering players), who love playing Commander. My son who chose these was so excited when he got them, and he was even happier and showed me how durable and strong they are.

Both of my boys LOVE Ultra Pro products, and told me to only buy Ultra Pro for their cards. He not only love the durability, he was so excited about the design. Im so glad they were available. I actually had to seek them out, because he said Dimir was his favorite guild.

He was excited when they arrived, and enjoys using them to play with.

Overall the sleeves have the quality you’d expect from Ultrapro, however the batch I received had smears and defects on the backs where the design was. Looks to be an issue during printing. Had to order another set so I could sleeve a full commander deck.

Luckily they were on sale. Recommended unless you get unlucky like I did.

Really great product made with the same tech as the eclipse mattes. Would really like to see an update to the ultra pro gloss so that foils can shine in them.

This was my very first character play mat for magic the gathering done by ultra pro and it accommodates my very first red and black vampire Commander Deck as well

A solid set of sleeves, the art is really clear and they aren’t too slippery right out of the package which is always nice.

These penny sleeves are great for sleeving up Pokémon cards that you want to keep in tiptop condition, especially when paired with the smaller penny sleeves that fit closer to the edges of the card (usually can find those on Amazon).

They leave plenty of room to hold said extra insert, and allow for easy removal of the card when needed without fear of damaging it. Just be aware this sleeve doesn’t fit in themed deck sleeves like the ones you buy from the Pokémon Center site, they’re roughly the same width.

Overall, a very good product at a reasonable cost! Just watch out for some hard pinholes of plastic that are built up on the middle of the sleeves that may cause damage to your cards. I found a few in my packs that were like this, and I’ve put them to the side, so I’m not sure how much it would affect a card that it’s sleeved over.

Just take precautions with any that seem iffy.

These are the real deal soft plastic sleeves / card protectors. The plastic is clear with an ideal transparent appeal for when you slip a card into one it actually improves the overall look of the card.

Once you slip your cards into these sleeves you’re able to handle, organize and browse through your cards without fear of damaging or smugging with fingerprints keeping them in prestine condition. More importantly, these sleeves are perfectly sized so that you can EASILY slip your sleeved cards into a top loader hard plastic protector casing if you wish to up the protection level on more valuable cards.

The only downside – or really its something you have to watch out for with ANY type card protector – is you have to be really careful when putting your card into the sleeve. Because they are so well sized (not OVER sized) relative to the cards dimensions that you can damage the cards corder and edges if you try to rush or force a card into a sleeve.

Take your time and be gentle during the entire process and I am confident that you will be totally satisfied with this item as a means to protect your card collection investment.

The Ultra Pro Sleeves are a great deal. I’m mostly into card games, like Pathfinder and Apocrypha, which require hundreds of sleeves per game. With Ultra Pro Sleeves I do not have to remove sleeves when I rotate games.

They are not as snug as custom Sleeves, but work great especially for the price.

I sleeve up a lot of cards (multiple MtG cubes) and this is my go-to sleeve. It works well with inner sleeves (both kmc and dragon shield) and is great for large sleeving operations because it’s price friendly and easy to come by compared to dragon-shield and others.

Pretty consistent, no size or color aberrations that I can sense. Some cons: – not completely opaque backs. If you’re playing competitively this could be a problem (unless maybe you use something like smoke inners).

I play casually, so this isn’t a problem for me. – Sometimes splits. I haven’t had more than a handful of splits over thousands of cards, and these are cheap enough to keep a couple extra packs on hand so it’s easy to trade out for new sleeves if there’s an issue.

– Matte interferes with foil cards. It gets a little worse if you double-sleeve, but after a little time in compression (to remove air) you can get a little shine off of them without having plastic-glare.

I needed a headset for work and a friend recommended this one however, I was wanting a wireless one so I didn’t have to deal with being tethered. I bought two different wireless headsets and ended up returning them and ordering this one.

I should have listened and bought this one to begin with. I loved that I could adjust the headset to fit my head, the other ones I bought wouldn’t go small enough. The sound quality is extremely clear and the mute button is easy to turn on and off.

The cord is long enough so I can put the phone in my back pocket with the headset on and have enough cord to move around without any problems. I will definitely stick with this headset.

UltraPro has SERIOUSLY bumped their quality over the last few years, and I’m here for it. These sleeves are super affordable and super durable. I’m definitely buying more!

You have a picture of Ultra Pro PLATINUM sleeves for your item’s listing picture. You sent me ones which are VERY different, much thinner, and much cheaper. Therefore, you marked up cheap sleeves and sold them as the nicer sleeves.

You knew exactly what you were doing and I’m very frustrated.

I needed some lightweight sleeves to sleeve a card game of mine so that it still fits inside the case, and this did that perfectly. The normal Ultra Pro sleeves that come in packs of 50 were a little too thick and so I wanted a sleeve that was the same size but just a little thinner, so seeing Ultra Pro made a thinner sleeve I jumped on it, and I don’t regret it.

The sleeves are true to size on the package, and the thickness is between the 50 pack sleeves they make, and the thin penny sleeves you see in packs of 100 for a dollar. They shuffle well and hopefully will last a long time.

Don’t buy this product if you are a perfectionist and like clean design sleeves. In fact, please don’t buy any Ultra Pro Sleeves. They put obvious anti-counterfeiting seals on their products, making the sleeved cards very unsightly and blocking some content.

I use them for the Supply cards in Infection. They are the perfect fit and a great way to protect the cards from one of my gaming groups favorite games. As much as Supply cards are shuffled and used in Infection, these are a must for the protection of the cards.

Infection hits the table quite often and these are essential for protecting my cards and keeping my copy in great shape for years to come.

The quality of bcw card sleeves are very great for their low price. I’ve been using them for 5 years and just recently had one split on me. However it didn’t split because it was old it split because another card sleeve with a card in it slide into the sleeve while I was shuffling my MTG deck.

Which resulted in the sleeve splitting.

for the price these can not be beat. when it comes to sleeves for playing magic or other TCG’s most of us are used to putting out 6 to 10 dollars per pack of ulta pros. while they may be the standard there is alot to be desired.

In come the BCW sleeves. you get the protection and shuffle-ablity of an ultra pro sleeve at a price closer to a penny sleeve. I picked these up to sleeve my cube with out emptying my wallet. 2 months later after a few dozen cube drafts, I still have not one of them split on me.

This is a great buy and recommend it to any TCG player looking for a deal or trying to sleeve up a cube.

I recently ordered some antique postcards. While some arrived in nice, clean sleeves, some arrived with black marking ink right across the front of the sleeves. The fronts, not the back, the fronts! I can’t try to wash that off and risk destroying the special contents, so was really glad to find these acid-free sleeves to help keep them safe and free from decay for a longer time.

Have thousands of vintage postcards, Want sleeves on all. Years ago, many sleeves contained PVC which over time turned yellow and stuck to the cards. Must have purchased at least 100 packs of these acid-free sleeves.

Small production issues mar a great-feeling sleeve [Update: with great customer service!] I recently purchased a bunch of a competitor’s premium sleeves and ended up returning almost all of them due to different production issues across the packs.

I decided to take a chance on these Ryker Sleeves, which were very close to the same price, a sawbuck for 150. First, the positives: I like the look and feel of these sleeves quite a bit. The fronts are clear and the pebbled texture on the back gives you something to grasp (and an immediate sense when you’re holding the card the wrong way).

As is often the case, you seem to get a “bonus” sleeve or two with each pack, which is nice. And the sleeves seem to be very sturdy; I wasn’t going to sit there and try and tear one of my new ones open, but they handled my test shuffles and card inserts-and-removals with aplomb.

However, much like the competition’s sleeves that I returned, these sleeves have production consistency issues. Five of the first pack had very rough short-edge seals, so much so that they were both visible in a shuffled deck and you could feel them when you were shuffling.

One of the sleeves somewhere in the middle of the pack had a bit of excess plastic along that top edge, which made it “ripply” in a way that was obvious when you looked at the deck from the side. And several sleeves had small amounts of excess plastic on one or the other long edge, although only one was so bad that I could consistently pick it out of the deck when I looked at the side.

Now, I happened to be sleeving something that has several cards that don’t get shuffled (tokens and such), so I could relegate the rough-edge sleeves to stuff where it didn’t matter. But that’s not true in every case, and with six of the 76 sleeves in one half-pack having issues, these become less of a deal when compared to the ultra-consistent alternatives.

(I checked the top edges of the other half and they didn’t seem to have any problems, but I haven’t actually used them to sleeve anything just yet. ) Still, I plan on keeping these, and if the production issues get worked out (and they don’t bust on me in the near future) I feel these would be five-star sleeves.

They’re just not there yet. Update, 2019-09-22: Becca at Ryker Games contacted me and immediately began addressing my concerns with these sleeves. In the interest of full disclosure, she refunded me the cost–thanks, 100% satisfaction guarantee!–and sent me a new pack, but more importantly she made it clear that Ryker is going to look into the production issues I noticed.

I’ve since received the replacement pack, which doesn’t seem to have any problems. Given the amazing customer service and the promises of looking into the production issues, I’m revising my review; in the future, if it seems that said issues have been cleared up entirely, I’ll revise it again.

I can certainly say that Ryker provides an excellent customer service experience on top of their solid sleeves.

What’s not to like? There are a handful of bad reviews, I have to believe they are from bad batches. These are enough oversized to make me happy with the top. They shuffle well. I did not try to rip them apart but nothing split while I was loading them and they didn’t feel like they were “almost going to rip.

” Reasonably heavy. Good price and for more than you need. I got pretty tired of buying 50 sleeves for 60 card decks. 75 sleeves in a pack means I have some left over for sideboard or whatever. Not I would buy again, I am ordering a few more packs and sleeving up a few more games.

I’ve always argued that sleeving up my games is more expensive than replacing a handful of cards. But if I can sleeve up 80 dollars worth of cards for 10 bucks in decent sleeves I guess I loose that argument don’t I?.

Lives Up to the Advertising Every company has a spiel about why their sleeves are the best. It seems to me that these sleeves live up to the promises made. They feel nice and thick, no splits so far, and the matte texture on the back side is really nice.

It’s not a uniform matte like the Ultra-Pro sleeves I have, it’s more like a lot of small bumps which feel nice in the hand without dulling the art too much. And the shuffling really is effortless, because of the matte texture on one side they don’t stick together, so overhand shuffling and “mash” shuffling work great.

The sleeving was the easiest I’ve ever done, and the fit seems great, not too loose and not too tight. If they were just a little cheaper I’d probably re-sleeve all my stuff with these, but I feel the price is fair for the quality you get.

Definitely recommended. The picture just shows how big the package actually is with a pen for scale, inside the foil there are two individual packs of 75 sleeves each side-by-side.

The sleeves are smooth instead of textured…while this shows off the artwork well, the sleeves stick together a bit which makes shuffling bad. Fabulous artwork but next time I will buy more Ultra Pro sleeves.

Love the sleeves. I use them for my extra deck. They look and feel comfortable and the logo is a nice touch so I instantly tell the difference between any cards that are extra deck cards vs main deck cards that I always place in plain colored sleeves.

Everything Monster makes is excellent, I highly suggest these sleeves the look cool as hell and they work great. Had these sleeved up for a couple of months now and they’re still high quality.

I was wanting to buy packs in bulk because theyre so expensive. Went in on the 3600 sleeves with two friends and am very happy. Have had issues in the past of Ultra Pro Magic themed sleeves sticking, but these dont stick at all.

Just like any ultra pro sleeves, they have a clean looking back where after a few times of shuffling the image starts to peel. They added a frosted front which seems cool, but I wish the image doesn’t get torn so easy when shuffling.

The whole point of it is to have the cool art. I wouldn’t recommend this for EDH, but maybe for standard 60 cards.

Now I don’t have to get those terrible Dragon Shield sleeves and can trust Ultra Pro with their sleeves! Very good quality, I’ve been using these for 3 weeks, and they’ve held up well.

I really like these card sleeves to help protect my handmade cards. They are clear so you can see through them too. Easy card slide in and easy peel strip. If you misplace the strip you can just lift if off and it will reseal again.

Anyone receiving a card in these will appreciate how the card will have a longer longevity down the road and it will not be destroyed. Bought a few sets and one in another size as well.

It may be my fault for not looking carefully enough at size, but I cannot fit both my handmade cards with the envelopes in these sleeves. The A2 envelopes are slightly bigger than the A2 cards. These sleeves fit the card beautifully, but what I thought was the appropriate envelope doesn’t fit.

Quality is great and protects the cards (which is most important), just wish I could put the envelopes in there, too.

As a beginner player, I’m still learning the ropes to TCG. I wanted a sleeve that wouldn’t cause problems, wouldn’t get in the way of my sub-par shuffling, and would stand up to the wear and tear of a new player.

These Pro-Matter Eclipses have proved to be just that! The sleeves protect the cards well, shuffle smoothly, and pair well with my Psychic deck.

I’m a big fan of the Eclipse sleeves, and these match the deck box I have this deck in perfectly. These sleeves are sturdy, durable and surprisingly easy to shuffle.

I have went through many different sleeve companies to protect my cards until I got to Ultra Pro. High quality product that does not change, when I order sleeves for a board game expansion I know they will be the exact same size as the last batch I bought, nothing is more frustrating than having to resleeve and entire collection because the sizes are not consistent.

I ordered 6 packs of black sleeves and 4 packs of gold. They all fit very well, but there are problems with both colors which happen to be made differently from one another. The golden sleeves look great, but crease easily.

Inserting a card will create a fold mark that does not go away, and this prevents them from being tournament-suitable. I recommend only using these sleeves for the extra deck since uniform sleeves are not required for those cards in tournament play.

The Ultra-Pro logo is positioned so that it blocks part of the card name. This is not really an issue if you know what cards you are playing, but can cause confusion for opponents. The black sleeves don’t have any of the problems that the golden sleeves have, but 2 split the first day I used them.

The rest are holding up well, and were useful at locals. The logo does not interfere with any card text, so I definitely prefer these to the gold versions. Overall I would say that these were worth the money.

I would recommend purchasing the blacks, but the golden sleeves are not worth buying for a main deck.

The delivery for this item came sooner than I expected. It was packaged nicely & well done. I use these for my Yugi-oh cards and they fit perfectly. Ulta-pro also offers a new line of card sleeves which came out the beginning of this year, they are called the, “Pro-matte Eclipses.

” This is a better version of this deck protector AND it doesn’t have that small annoying holo-sticker on the face of the card sleeve. Sadly, the, “Pro-matte Eclipses” only has two colors (white & black, at least for now ) for the small size card sleeves.

However! The standard card sleeves (which are used for cards like Magic The Gathering) come in various colors, a nice quantity of card sleeves & decent price.

I’ll start with saying I love the art of these sleeves, they’re durable thus far and aren’t too slick. My issue with these sleeves is that so far two that I’ve found seem to have a line of white through the art, looking almost like a scratch yet the sleeve is undamaged.

With my order I received exactly 100, so I couldn’t easily trade out the marked looking ones.

These sleeves look awesome and protect my cards, but have a sticky shuffle feel to them. I generally prefer Dragon Shields for their ease of shuffling, but these designs looked too cool to pass up!

They do exactly what’s intended and that’s all you need them to do. The back art isn’t too busy, easy to load, and they protect your commander deck while being uniform in style.
