20 Best Skincare Products For Hyperpigmentation (2023 Updated)

It’s such a pleasure to share the newer version of Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum. Good molecules is one of the skincare brand that I began my journey fighting against melasma with and have had thoroughly enjoyed using their products for their quality and choice of highly effective and safe ingredients.

Two of my most loved products that always have a spot on my vanity are the Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner and the Squalane Oil. I used the older version too and really enjoyed using that but this newer version is a game changer.

It has 4% Niacinamide and 3% Tranexamic Acid that helps lighten discoloration, hyperpigmentation, blemish scars and melasma. It can be applied AM/PM. I have been using it for the past two weeks and am really enjoying the results.

The proof is in the pudding you can see how radiant and smoother the texture of my skin looks. Really happy with the results and recommend this serum to all of you who are struggling with a dull and uneven skin tone.

I bought this product at Ulta on a whim after seeing the Good Molecules display. I had heard great things about the brand and wanted to try something out. I picked this product in particular in hopes of lightening up some post acne marks that I have seriously been struggling with, and brightening my overall skin tone.

2 things that I have yet to find a good solution for! The price for this was so great I had very little hope/expectations that it would work… After just a few days of using this, I ACTUALLY NOTICED it WORKING!! I kept myself quiet though because I didn’t want to be super hopeful, almost thought I was crazy.

But after a week, my mom started commenting on my spots lightening up and my face looking brighter. She didn’t even know I bought this! It’s been about 2 weeks now and I am continuing to use this every morning and night and the results are just incredible.

The actual product feels super good on the skin, it feels kind of silky and not oily OR drying at all. I keep my bottle in the box because I think you’re supposed to protect it from light. At this price point, you should definitely give it a try for yourself.

I’m so excited about what this is doing for my skin and I highly recommend picking it up!!.

Okay so I have VERY sensitive skin and when I say sensitive I don’t mean it reacts a lot, but I mean that my scars stay for a long time to the point my leg still has a scratch on it from when I was 7 from a big bite and I’m 20 now… yeah.

I’ve found that this serum has slightly faded my scars, and to be honest I’ve only had it for a month and am okay with that. It has DRASTICALLY improved my skin texture and all my little tiny hard bumps J used to get are gone, now when i use makeup my skin looks so smooth it’s crazy.

Also J found that it makes me skin plump and encourages the skin to not peel, but rather shed. Like when i wash my face dead skin willl come off and so that is what helps my scars fade so i know that over time it will get better.

I used to break out a lot on my cheeks and it really upset me but now they’re both super smooth and the scars are faded. I also got really bad hyperpigmentation during 2020-2021 because I was inside a lot, but this serum also made my skin tone as a black woman a much more consistent and my foundation actually matches my whole face again hahaha.

Overall I’d say this is great for helping with hyperpigmentation, rough skin textures that want to be smooth, hydration (makes my face feel plump), and those who genuinely want help with fading scars but don’t wanna use harsh chemicals for spot treatments that just end up discoloring your face even more.

GREAT product for my hyperpigmentation from acne. I broke out bad from using a different tranexamic acid product from Paula’s Choice, that resulted in really bad pimples. I got this product and started applying every night and the redness went down super fast and I’ve never had post inflammatory pigmentation go away so fast after.

Usually it takes weeks for them to lighten up after redness goes down, but for me it’s only been a week so far. Every day I can see it getting lighter and lighter. My older brown marks are noticeably lightening up, too, but not at a crazy speed which makes sense since they’ve been there for months aka stubborn marks.

It’s more progress than I’ve seen with three months of hydroquinone though, and not as bad for the skin. I will be buying this again and again. Protocol: Evening shower, cleanse, tone, BHA exfoliant, this serum, moisturizer, then benzoyl peroxide a few hours later before bed.

This doesn’t have super high Vit C so you could pair a Vit C cream for the morning for max brightening effect. This product is great for the cost. The Paula’s equivalent was like $40.

I love Palmers skin Success products. I use the body lotion and oil and they do work great for my skin. I decided to try the anti dark spot fade cream for my face because I have been struggling with hormonal break outs lately, which end up leaving me with black spots.

The cream smells good and goes smoothly on the face. I started noticing the fading of my black spots in just about 3 days of use, so yes it’s effective in clearing my dark spots but it leaves my skin a bit greasy afterwards.

I have normal to combination skin so I am guessing it’s a bit too heavy for my skin. Although I love how supple my face feels after using the cream, I wouldn’t want to complicate my breakout problems so I will try the fade lotion next time.

Overall it’s a great product and I will recommend it.

Palmers Anti-Dark Spot Night Fade Cream has helped my acne scars fade. I have been using this fade cream for over two weeks and have seen results that make me happy. I have acne scars that are noticeable and annoying.

This fade cream has make them fade enough that my acne scars are lighter. I expect after longer use they will fade more. Not greasy on my face and absorbs quickly, which you want in a night cream for your face.

Moisturizes my skin. A little goes a long way. Contains Niacinamide, Retinol, Vitamin E, Songyi Mushroom Extract, Vitamin C and Lavender. This fade cream is also good for dark spots, age spots, and uneven skin tone.

The scent is no too strong. I highly recommend to those who want to fade dark spots and improve the overall look of their facial skin.

I have tried many various products in my time (I’m 53 now) and I cannot express my overwhelming gratitude for a product that not only delivers its promises, but hands down gives lasting results. My skin needed help and without having to go to a specialist (which I have done at great expense in the past) I get the same results at home! It’s like going to a skin doctor at home! I absolutely love every product! The skin care specialists are very helpful if you need extra advise of how to use the products, but the instructions are clear and helpful.

Was using Peter Thomas Roth which is good but when I saw this kit and Marie spoke about it and saw it had retinol in it I became very interested in it. Bought the kit a lot cheaper than Peter Thomas Roth and just as good if not better.

Not like the drugstore stuff that a small amount of retinol. You can feel it working and tell it has retinol in it. You feel a slight tingling feeling you know it’s working. If your looking for fancy packaging it’s not for you.

I f your looking for a affordable line that really helps and works no overnight miracles lol. This is for you. I’m 60 and I always tried to take care of my skin and this product is great its concentrated and affordable.

Like I said if your looking for a product that’s works not packaging I think you found it. In fact I bought the bottle of retinol first was so impressed and bought the kit and for the price and most of all the quality of product and that it works I’m glad I did and will continue too.

I have some sun damage/dark spots/melasma that I have been trying to fade. Tranexamic Acid is a must in my skincare routine. This ingredient definitely helps lighten my marks but it takes time and you need to be consistent when using it.

Tranexamic Acid is better for my skin, rather than vitamin C as it would sensitized my skin in the day further more. I have used Formotopia Bffect Luz Whitening serum which is a 2% concentration, it definitely does lighten the marks, it is also an effective serum.

I saw this serum which is 5%, so I have now switched over to this one. So far it is effective at lightening the sun damage marks on my face, so far so good. No negatives since using this! It does have abit of texture to it, but it absorbs quickly into the skin.

This serum brightens my face much more. Some improvement was not seen until after 6-7 weeks onwards using tranexamic acid in my routine daily. So if you are trying to do the same and have just started you will need some patience and time.

What I’ve used to treat the sun damage marks was this serum, a 10% Niaciamide serum and cycle through Lactic/Mandelic acid + moisturiser in the PM routine. In the morning it is just an essence/lotion and sunblock.

My marks have not gone away completely, but it is much lighter and have not darken further. I have very sensitive mature combination skin. Hope this helps. Definitely try this serum if you are trying to fade brown marks, maybe start on a lower percentage first so your skin can get used to it.

Tranexamic acid is very good for hyperpigmentation, so I wanted to give this a try. I like it, the consistency is slightly viscous (as I like) but it absorbs really well. It also doesn’t break the bank, which is a huge plus.

As for the results, I think it helps but I think you would have to use it for several months to really see real improvement; I don’t think it’s a miracle product and I’ve had other tranexamic acid products that worked better right off the bat.

Be careful not to put too much at once, it can leave a powdery finish.

First impressions: the bottle is bigger and has more product than expected. I like that the expiration date is stamped on the bottle, and it’s good for a long time. Ingredients are good. It’s not exactly sticky in texture, but the heaviness of the serum makes it seem almost sticky if that makes sense.

Like goopy? It’s a heaviness that I find uncomfortable on my skin at first, but it quickly soaks into the skin and becomes weightless within 10 minutes or so. I’ll update when I’ve had more time to see what kind of effect, if any, it will have on my skin.

This cream tightens the skin on your neck and chest. It fights the signs of aging in an area that is often overlooked. Unfortunately, I have not noticed impactful results from the product. The has delivered more visible results than this cream.

This cream is hydrating and leaves my skin looking moisturized. My mom has used Meaningful Beauty for years and her skin is youthful and beautiful. She receives compliments on her glowing skin frequently.

This is a product and skincare line that delivers visible results.

This cream has an anti aging agent from a melon grown in France. That is the basis of the meaningful beauty line. This neck cream has that melon in it. It does smell a tad funny but that is because it had the melon in it.

I don’t use it very often so you can’t tell if it has been working. But while I am using it I do notice an instant boost in texture. But it does go away after I take a shower.

I love the meaningful beauty Dark Spot Correcting Treatment. I could see a significant difference after using this for just a couple of weeks. It is soft and light, when I put it on so it does not interfere with my foundation or other, make up I apply.

I have been using this now for a couple of years with no problems.

Like many other people have already said, I’m really disappointed you guys discontinued the old forumla and without warning too. If I knew, I would of at least stocked up before it was gone. The old forumla was perfect.

It cleared up my dark areas in only two weeks and made my skin so smooth and soft looking. Unfortunately, this new forumla is not as effective. It doesn’t have sunscreen, makes me darker, and seems like it breaks me out.

I was excited at first when I realized you guys were making the cream more natural, but didn’t expect that you guys would completely discountinue the old forumla and that this new forumla wouldn’t be as effective.

Why not have both the old and new forumla available so people can choose which one works best for them? Hydroquinone isn’t a bad ingredient, it been used for decades and dermatologists recommend it all the time for hyperpigmentation.

Please bring back the old forumla or at least improve on this one so it works just as well. I’ve used this cream on/off for years it was so affordable and very effective. It really was my favorite cream I’m sad to see it go, but I guess I’ll just have to find another brand of cream to use from now on.

I bought this product in July of 2020 and used it the entire summer. Within two weeks my face was noticeably lighter, my spots were all gone! After the two containers were used up I could not find it anywhere in October, November and early December.

Found it in Walmart in the last two weeks of December, I have been using it for eight weeks now and it has not done ANYTHING to my face. I don’t know if I got a bad batch. In fact my face is actually getting darker because this thing seems to have no lightening ingredients in it so it’s as if I am not using anything on my face.

I am just perplexed because I don’t understand what’s happening. This is something that I’ve been using for a while and it has always worked. All it did was cause a red rash around my neck area. The redness of the rash is gone but I am now left with a black line (of sorts) around my neck.

so far I’m very pleased with Kiss Red E dark spot corrector cream. I love that the ingredients are all organic, vegan, and natural/recognizable – not a long list of chemical derivatives requiring a degree in chemistry to understand.

the texture of the moisturizer is rich but not heavy. It absorbs into my skin easily and makes my skin really soft. of a person who is sensitive to fragrance especially synthetic chemical fragrances, the lack of odor is a big plus.

Most creams reek of synthetic fragrance but there’s no noticeable (or nose clogging) smell in Kiss Red E. the cream is rich and only a small dab required to moisturize the whole face. other creams I’ve tried will leave a layer of sticky Grime and not absorb into my skin.

this cream absorbs readily and easily without residue. I have sensitive skin and don’t get burning, tingling, or other uncomfortable sensations, just soft skin. I’ve been using it on my sanitizer gel damaged hands as well as my face.

Kiss Red E has helped face and hands in a few days. honestly, few days in I was already thinking, “I’m definitely reordering this stuff!” As far as correcting discoloration on my face I haven’t seen noticeable results yet, but I’ve only been using it for a few days.

It’s definitely my new favorite moisturizer. 10/10 – Would recommend, purchase for a friend, and will definitely be buying more.

I’m holding out to the 5th star until I use more product. So far I like the cream generally it make my makeup cover better, my pores smaller and also reduced some wrinkles. Dark spots not so much yet.

I have used the product for the eight weeks and see a little improvement so far. I plan to continue thru another jar and see what happens. I may continue even it the spots don’t go away as it is a nice cream.

I have hard- working hands marked by age-spots. I have been using Kiss Red E Dark Spot Corrector Creme for 3 weeks and see a noticeable difference in the appearance of the backs of my hands. This creme is compatible with most serums and sunscreens as it does not contain any harsh chemicals or additives.

I will continue using for another 3-4 weeks as recommended for optimal results.

It’s always tempting to say a product doesn’t live up to expectations if you only use it a couple of times, as skincare products need time to work. That is definitely true when it comes to the excellent AOS Mandelic pigmentation corrector night serum.

For the first couple of weeks, while I liked the texture and how my skin felt the next morning, I could not see any clear changes to my pigmentation (red marks from old spots, too much sun exposure).

It was only after about a month I noticed that a lot of the pigmentation around my nose and cheeks had significantly faded. One of the other key benefits is that Mandelic Acid is super gentle compared to AHAs, so is ideal for sensitive skin.

At no point did I feel my skin barrier was compromised despite using this nightly, like some daily acids. From a preventative perspective, using this also makes me highly conscious about future damage, so I layer on the SPF and try to keep my face protected from the sun.

It’s not cheap, but it’s effective and one of the few Mandelic Acid products on the market. AOS is one of my favourite brands as they are rigorous in testing and know that formula is key. This night serum is one of my favourite AOS products and I highly recommend it.

On my third bottle already!.

This was a godsend for my skin when it was feeling lacklustre and starting to show signs of pigmentation. It takes time to really help fade any kind of pigmentation so honestly, I’d say you want to get through at least two bottles of this alongside a good SPF regime to make an impact on more stubborn or long-standing marks.

While this isn’t the most budget-friendly product, this is worth the investment if you can take the plunge. Allies of Skin formulations are sophisticated and potent, and not to mention how chic they look on your shelfie.

I really started to see an improvement in the texture, tone and overall health and clarity of my skin after a few months and honestly, I miss this and notice when I don’t have it in my routine. Make sure to mist before application as this really helps the product absorb, I find it just doesn’t work on dry skin and can pill a little, so damp skin is essential to really get the most out of this gorgeous serum.

This is a lightweight serum, applies smoothly and absorbs quickly. I can feel the acid in it, it makes my skin feel tingly. When my skin feels a little sensitive, this feels like it’s burning a little but not too badly.

The colour and texture is a little snotty, and it tends to clog the opening sometimes. The smell is off putting too, but I prefer that to having an artificial scent. The pump is great, easy to use and there’s a twist lock that ensures no accidental leakage.

I don’t expect a topical product to visibly reduce pigmentation, but at least it seems to keep new ones at bay.

I have tried several azelaic acid treatments for my skin with rosacea, and this one it the best for now. A couple of months ago I had a severe outburst of rosacea. I used Skinoren for a couple of weeks on daily basis to reduce the most severe symptoms, and after everything was more or less under control and I realized I didn’t need anything so intense anymore, I switched to this product to help maintain the result.

I have to say, that azelaic acid treatments are not very pleasant to use as a rule, they make my skin dehydrated and cause irritation. After 3 weeks of using this product every day at night after washing my face and before serum and hydrating cream, I can say the following: it doesn’t make my skin feel itchy or burning (with more intense treatments you have to wait for about 30 minutes until your skins stops to burn), it helped relieve rosacea and the skin feels a lot better now, it isn’t hydrating at all and some serum or cream is needed on top of it, it helped with the black spots and reduced pores (I guess, thanks to salicyllic acid), it didn’t do anything to my pigmentation or break outs (Paula’s tranexamic acid treatment is much better at this).

At the moment I switched to applying it daily to the most problematic rosacea spots on my cheeks and will keep doing it. I would recommend it as a daily treatment on problematic spots to help keep rosacea under control or as acid treatment about once a week.

I wouldn’t recommend applying it daily on the whole face unless it is required by the skin condition. I gave it 5 stars as I believe it is one of the best and most pleasant to use azelaic acid treatments for rosacea I have tried so far.

I have acne prone skin and really struggle to balance acne treatment and skin hydration. My Regular routine: AM & PM: Skinfix acne + 2% BHA cleanser & PC pore reducing toner with niacinamide. AM: PC clear benzoyl peroxide treatment as needed for breakouts, & Sunscreen (I switch between several acne formulas from other brands.

) PM: Retin-a micro gel mixed with PC oil free clear moisturizer at night. For the last few months, I have been playing around with my exfoliant which I apply after cleanser and toner. The normal BHA and clear toners both made my skin greasy by the afternoon with AM use, and are too drying if I use it twice a day.

PC recommended trying the BHA serum instead, but I had the same issue. I got a sample of the glycolic serum, which is amazing to use a couple times a week or if I have any dry patches, but it leaves my skin too dry for daily use.

Enter this product: I received a sample, used it occasionally as a spot treatment for hyperpigmentation, and saw great results. For the last week or so, after a particularly bad break out, I decided to start using this twice daily all over my face instead of any other exfoliants.

My hyperpigmentation is gone from the bad breakout and I really haven’t had any new pimples. It doesn’t leave my skin greasy either. I plan to use this permanently instead of the BHA. If you are struggling with treating acne & have tried the other basic BHA products without a great result, I highly recommend trying this one.

I have tried The Derma Co KOJIC ACID CREAM for pigmentation. This product is of 30g. The ingredients in this cream lightens the skin tone and minimizes the recurrences of discoloration and events out skin tone within 3 weeks.

It rejuvenates the skin within a short period of time. It’s key ingredients are VITAMIN C and KOJIC ACID which makes it more powerful. Vitamin C helps in levelling up the skin and kojic acid helps in minimizing the discoloration.

Earlier I was very annoyed from all this skin problem but after using this product I managed to see changes in positive way. Now I happily recommend this product to everyone.

This is a great product that is free from hydroquinone yet works great for dark spots. I have been using it for almost 8months now and totally see a huge difference on my face. Although I do still have some dark spots on my face, they are much lighter than how they used to be.

On the bright side, majority of my dark spots are gone. Also, this evens out skin tone. Overall, I highly recommend this product along with the exfoliating treatment and Wrinkle& radiance remedy plus.

I do use them as a set and works like a wonder.

I am very pleased with the MD Complete Dark Spot Corrector. I gave it a try a while back and was amazed that it actually did clear the dark spots on my face. My friends have complimented my face and asked if I had any doctor’s work done on it.

The product is so easy to use. Just about the size of a pea goes a long way. The service from MD Complete is very professional. Delivery is quick. And you know what? I’m a guy. No reason why we can’t use it.

I have been using this product for about a year and I have seen a dramatic difference in my overall skin tone. My skin is much brighter and even. I have acne prone skin and I have tried a lot of products.

The dark spot corrector definitely has the most bang for your buck.

I’ve had acne for 20 years and have recently decided to try to clear my face once and for all. I am currently using Differin gel every third night and this azalaic acid on the other two nights inbetween.

This has really been helping me. The Differin gel alone was doing its job but I was experiencing a mild-moderate ‘purge’ and started to get flashbacks to the days when my acne was really active. For this reason I nearly stopped the Differin altogether.

I had been using the azalaic acid before I started Differin (I was advised to stop it when I started the retinoid by my prescriber) and remembered how much it calmed my skin down and stopped the inflammation.

It was at that point that I started using it alongside the Differin – applying the azalaic acid for two nights and then the Differin on the third. Since starting this (5 weeks ago) my skin looks visibly better every day.

I’m still experiencing a very mild purge on the night that I use the Differin, but after putting on the azalaic acid the next night, the spots are significantly less angry (and in the case of the smaller ones, disappear completely) and my hyperpigmentation from previous spots is visibly brighter the next day.

I was originally planning on trying to build up my retinoid to every night and getting a stronger percentage of azalaic acid; however, this is going so well, I think I’m going to leave things as they are.

If the rate of improvement continues, I think that my skin will be completely clear and most of the scars will be gone in the next 3-6 months. I’m so glad I found this – especially at such a great price! If anyone using it experiences dryness or irritation, I recommend using it over a light moisturiser.

This is what I do (sensitive skin) and it has stopped the small amount of dryness I was experiencing but is no less effective on the acne!.

So far so good. Heard wonderful things about alpha-arbutin from professional YouTube creators. This is known to help with hyperpigmentation. This product also includes HA, which is a good form of hydration and skin moisturizing benefits.

Recommend still using a moisturizer on top to seal in the HA. I have not used it long enough to notice a permanent reduction in dark spots, however I do like that my skin looks very hydrated and dewy after applying.

Will repurchase. Also this product can be layered with other actives, however seek professional advice before doing so. I am doing a total revamp of my skin care products, started because I was running low, ran out, or products expired, which is great because I was using products that were not great for my skin type and had harsh ingredients and scents.

Also since watching and researching skin care it is now more important to me then ever. My prior skin care products I purchased from esthetician’s, and with me not being properly educated in what my skin truly needs (especially for skin of color which is way more sensitive) I was using products I had high sensitivity too or again that were to harsh for my skin type.

I also started reading the inky list (ingredients) myself. As someone who developed acne at 29 years old, I have no prior knowledge. I’m truly learning as if I am a teenager. I forgot how sensitive my skin used to be, but thinking because now I’m acne prone that my skin sensitivity just went away.

I will officially have a skin analysis from a dermatologist, I do believe I am “combination leaning towards oily, acne and hormonal prone, with sensitivity. Regardless I want to treat my skin as if it were sensitive, one reason being I am highly sensitive to many popular skin care ingredients, for example Niacinamide.

Never cared really for Glycolic Acid, come to find out it can be very harsh for skin of color. Needless to say this product did not cause any irritation therefore we already starting off well.

Did this help to lighten a new dark patch I’ve noticed on my upper cheek, or existing acne marks? Unfortunately it didn’t. And that’s unusual because I usually respond very well to Arbutin, even at 1% or less, yet for some reason not with The Ordinary’s 2% formula.

I did notice the tiniest bit of smoothness in my skin texture (the Lactic acid maybe) and my skin did feel lightly hydrated using just a few drops of this (possibly the Sodium Hyaluronate content) twice a day.

But then I started to notice mild acne and clogged pores appearing on my chin and forehead after a weeks’ use, and had to stop applying it to my face. I was hopeful that taking it down to just one application per day might lessen the issue but it didn’t.

Not one to waste something, I’ve been applying a couple of drops every night before sleep on my slightly dark, patchy underarms, after washing-off the days’ anti-perspirant. I’ve been doing this for the last 3 and a half weeks but not seen any difference so far.

To be fair I’ve yet to come across a product that does lighten them, even with multiple brightening ingredients in, not just Arbutin, so I can’t say I’m exactly surprised. Took off a point because it’s overpriced but haven’t looked into a less expensive version yet. If you don’t mind paying that price, go for it. I used a deluxe sample and I only put it on the dark spots, not on the whole face, so that will make it last a long time.

I have one age spot that was dark on my cheek, a red spot on my nose and a spot from sun damage on my forehead and immediately started seeing results. I have used quite a few other spot correcting products from ulta store, high end brands for a long time with no results from any of them but I did see lightening up after only using a couple of weeks.

So the alcohol doesn’t really bother me since I only use it on the spots. I have used laser treatments at a doctors office to get rid of a couple of age spots in the past, and that treatment completely removed one of them in the first visit but the other one didn’t go away, so some spots just are stubborn and need longer or may never disappear completely.

So I recommend if you’re on the fence, get a sample or the travel size and see how it works for you. I also use a good sunscreen now so I don’t get more.

I received this serum complimentary from Murad. My face has some dark spots and this serum really helps to reduce the appearance of those dark spots and to brighten my skin tone. This serum comes in a bottle with a handy pump lid so you can get the right amount.

I use the serum in the morning after cleansing my skin. I apply one pump of the serum onto my face. It has a smooth texture and is absorbed quickly. After using it my skin feels so smooth and appears brighter and has a more even skin tone.

It does not leave a greasy or sticky residue but feels light on the skin. After using this serum for about a week my dark spots are looking less visible. I love how this serum refreshed and improved the appearance of my skin even after the first time using.

I am very impressed by how clear and bright my skin looks. My skin looks less dull and more radiant. Can’t wait to see what this serum will do for my dark spots after using it for a longer period. Make sure to wear sunscreen after using this serum.

My first review, because I couldn’t not talk about how good this is! I was out of the country for work for two months, in a place that was incredibly hot and everyone still wore masks outside so out of respect I did the same but the heat and sweat and stress from work broke out my cheeks and chin in a way I have never in my 39yrs experienced.

It was so bad I cried about it because I didn’t want to show my face. Once I got the breakout under control, I was left with terrible scarring, and I decided to try this; I have now cried over the wonders its done for my face! I got the small bottle first and saw enough of a difference to commit to the big bottle; I only use three pumps at night (my skin is still sensitive so I don’t want to push using this when I’m in the sun) but it’s already made such a huge difference and I couldn’t be more thankful! I have combo skin, used to get cystic acne, and am brown skinned and prone melasma, and this product more than any other I have tried has brought an even, bright tone to my skin.

I’m on week 10 of the 16 week intensive period (this is the period you use the product every, single morning). I’ve had melasma for about five years now and have tried a couple different laser treatments as well as 4% prescription hydroquinone.

Nothing has helped long term, and my melasma has slowly worsened. I felt pretty hopeless about my melasma when someone recommended Cyspera to me. My dark areas have noticeably lightened throughout the past few weeks, and some areas have actually returned to my normal skin tone.

I am shocked because I was absolutely skeptical when I began using Cyspera. I didn’t see much improvement until maybe the seven or eight week mark. I can’t say for sure if Cyspera will continue working for me, but I am hopeful that it will and feel optimistic about what my skin will look like at the end of the intensive period and as I continue using it for maintenance beyond the intensive period.

It requires patience and diligent daily use (leave on for 15 minutes every morning before cleansing), but I’d definitely recommend it to others who have melasma. Definitely worth a try. Downside: pretty pricey.

Also, I’ve noticed some people complaining about the smell, but it’s not too terrible to my nose.

I wish I had known about this pigment corrector years ago. I battled with hyperpigmentation off and on almost all of my adulthood. Oily and acne prone skin along with the almost inevitable picking or popping pimples were associated with these pigment issues.

Cyspera has really evened my complexion and corrected my color tone. This stuff is amazing the only thing that has rid my melasma which is pretty difficult to turn around. It’s pretty pricey 170. 00 for a 1.

75 Oz tube it’s supposed to last 16 weeks with only a thin layer applied every night. This is not the most pleasant smelling cream but, I’ve smelled worse. Leaving this on for 15 mins, washing with a mild soap, and following my normal skin care routine.

Skin will only get better with continuous use. I’m already ready to make my next purchase, it’s just that worth it. Sunscreen is a must with this as it is with any skin care corrector. I recommend this to anyone who’s suffering with unwanted marks or melasma that won’t budge.

I was so sure that this would be my holy grail product to fade my hyperpigmentation and it turned out to be a complete waste of 16 weeks and a lot of money. I was so excited to try this. I followed the instructions exactly and wore sunscreen + wide-brimmed hat whenever I went outside.

I even bought one of those full solar face shields and wore that whenever I was outside around my house. I applied the product every single morning for 15 min the first 6 weeks and then 30-45 min a day after the 6 weeks.

I went through two tubes and just completed 16 weeks. There is such a slight, slight improvement in my hyperpigmentation. I would have gotten better results with ANY other fading product. For reference, I am Indian and have hyperpigmentation from acne.

There was no overall improvement in my skin tone either. So upset.

I love skinceuticals, and have used many of their products for several years. I noticed a sunspot and was ordering Emollience anyway, so I figured I’d try the discoloration defense. I use it daily, as recommended, with my SC cleansers and moisturizers.

Some days I feel like my skin tone looks more even and some days I feel like I see a shadow where I may have not blended the product as much. This effect changes daily so I figure it’s not set in stone how the product works.

Overall, I like it. There is no odor, it absorbs well and appears to work. I will probably purchase this product again!.

Honestly, this stuff is amazing. I’m 36, and I deal with melasma, and PIE left over from breakouts. This product has quite a few beneficial ingredients at great percentages to live up to it’s claims.

Niacinamide, Tranexamic acid, Kojic acid, etc. All ingredients to reverse and prevent hyperpigmentation, melasma, and heal PIH & PIE. Whenever I breakout, I’m super fair so I’m always left with a red mark.

This makes them disappear quickly whereas they used to last for over a year. I’m not saying this is a one-and-done product since fighting melasma & PIE is a real bugger, but this truly helps. It’s so lightweight, soaks in super quickly, and doesn’t leave a residue.

Plays nice with other products. I’ve repurchased many times! I feel like this product is so underrated, and deserves much more of the spotlight. Give it time- I think it took 6+ months for me to really see a difference.

Paired with other actives like azaleic acid, glycolic, retinol, vitamin c, and AHA/BHA products. I think you’ll see this really boosts results!.
