20 Best Skincare For Combination Skin (2023 Updated)

I bought a small bottle of this moisturizer off of Amazon to try in 2020/2021, and I LOVED it. I’ve used it every day, every night, through every season. It fully absorbs in just 1-2 minutes, makes my skin feel hydrated, has a light consistency with great spreadability.

I also struggle with acne, and this moisturizer didn’t make me break out. It’s now 2022 and I’ve gone through two 125ml bottles. However, here’s why its 4 stars for me and not 5: 1. The bottle design.

When I start to run low, I can see in the bottle that there’s a decent bit of product left in there but it’s not enough for the pump to pick it up so I have to strategically shake the bottle and use my fingers to try and get any product left over but it’s so difficult.

2. It’s not moisturizing enough for the winter, my cheeks would get really dry and this moisturizer did nothing for it (makes sense bc this moisturizer is for oily-oily combo skin). 3. The price. I’ve determined to find an alternative for this moisturizer that doesn’t cost as much.

I’ve bought two Korean moisturizers in hopes of finding one similar to Clinique in consistency and absorption time, but Clinique continues to reign supreme. The two Korean moisturizers I bought were the Purito Deep Sea Pure Water Cream and Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream by Axis-Y, and both of those don’t absorb into my skin as quickly as Clinique does, and they leave my skin feeling a little tacky for awhile before they actually absorb.

But that doesn’t mean I’ll stop looking for an alternative to Clinique. Until I actually do find one, I’ll keep coming back to Clinique for a moisturizer every single time. Overall, I still really like this moisturizer and I highly recommend it to anyone with oily to oily combination skin.

LISTEN I’ve tried DOZENS of moisturizers for my greasy, oily skin and this one is one of the only ones that doesn’t leave my skin looking like my face was just soaked in oil yet still hydrates and smoothens out my pores and texture.

Not sticky at all and it just feels comfortable. Other moisturizers end up feeling greasy after 1-2 hours. This one just feels so clean and absorbs soooo well into the skin. I probably have the most oily skin in the world so trust me when I say this stuff actually controls oil it’s crazy.

My skin is olive/tan with hyperpigmentation, acne scars from years ago, large pores, and horomonal acne…the most difficult skin to deal with especially around my period because I get a lot of hormonal breakouts (white heads and cysts).

Trust me this stuff is amazing. Just for reference other moisturizers that have also worked for me are the neutrogena hydroboost gel and the drunk elephant peptide something. I still like this one better.

Only gel moisturizers will work for me and this one helps tremendously. It also works flawlessly with all of my makeup.

I am 39 and have combination skin, which consists of dry cheeks and very oily T-Zone. I also have hormonal acne that breaks out in painful large pus filled sores all over my chin and occasionally my nose.

I’ve had bad acne since I turned 18. I had been using intense acne washes of various brands and types for about a decade desperately trying to combat oil production. It wasn’t really helping with my acne, and it was drying out my skin progressively worse and worse on my cheeks.

I recently saw a esthetician at a spa while getting a facial, she noticed my dry cheeks and thought that whatever I was using to combat my oily T-Zone was just drying out my skin further and causing it to produce even more oil.

She recommended I look into this balance set from the ordinary. Wow. It has changed my life. After just 30 days, I have almost-clear, beautiful skin that is hydrated, not super oily, and glowing in a good way.

I do still have the occasional breakout, but that’s due to my hormones. And even when it does break out the acne does not turn into a huge, painful, pus filled lump. It just looks like a normal pimple now, with a normal small white head that may or may be it burst on its own- and it goes away within a day or two.

Compared to the previous mountainous sores that would swell on my face for weeks, refusing to come to a head to relieve the pressure, this is heavenly. I cannot express how much this has changed my life.

Be warned that there is a purging period while your skin adjusts. The first 20 days were ROUGH. So much acne came to the surface, but it gradually became more and more like normal pimples instead of my usual painful, cystic lumps.

And now as long as I don’t get lazy and forget to wash, my skin is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

This is a great set for my acne-prone, combination skin. I use the Squalane cleanser and NMF moisturiser daily (cleanser at night for double cleansing) and they’re so gentle on my skin, yet effective.

The cleanser doesn’t dry me out and the moisturiser is rich enough for my skin on most days. If I’m feeling a bit dry, I’ll follow up with a richer cream or sleeping mask. I use the niacinamide once or twice daily, depending on my routine and it has really helped me prevent oily skin, breakouts and blackheads! It doesn’t help me as much against post-inflammatory erythema though, so I alternate it with a Vitamin C from another brand.

Lastly, I really like the salicylic acid masque. It is effective but surprisingly doesn’t feel as stripping as many other masques out there. Since my skin is quite sensitive to acids, I found that this was a very gentle beginner’s product and helped me build up tolerance.

Now I’ve moved onto the PC BHA exfoliant, but my bf loves using this masque once a week/every two weeks. I actually keep purchasing this set in spite of owning all the full sizes because I can pack these into my cosmetics purse for when I travel!.

This set did not live up to the hype for me. I am extremely oily around the nose and chin area, and normal around the forehead and cheeks. I have small blemishes and get occasional acne breakouts. I do not mind my blemishes and acne, as I consider them part of my hormonal cycle, but if I could improve it, it would be a bonus.

I bought this set because I saw it getting recommended all over social media, and it is extremely affordable. It is also my first time trying this brand. This set did not irritate my skin nor made it worse, but I strongly disliked the feeling on my skin.

The cleanser did not help reduce the oiliness of my skin, as I felt my face get oily again after 1hr of using it. The serum felt very sticky and thick for me, and since my face is very oily, it made it feel even more oily.

The moisturizer is also very thick and made my face feel even oilier. All in all, I did not enjoy this set and it is a big bummer because I wanted it to work for me.

I’d tried the Polish before when it was included in TILI boxes that I purchased and I LOVE the Polish, so I looked forward to trying the whole “Method. ” The Polish is not too harsh and makes my skin feel super soft – it is my fave exfoliator that QVC/HSN sell by far.

It is the star product of the Lancer Method. The Cleanser was nothing special. You can’t get it into your eyes or it burns like crazy, and I prefer cleansers that I can use around the eye area. Philosophy’s Purity is still my fave general cleanser though I do like to use Peter Thomas Roth’s Anti-Aging Gel a couple times a week because it contains Salicylic and Glycolic Acids.

This cleanser wasn’t bad, just not worth the high price for the ‘Lancer’ name. But the Nourish – the moisturizer. Ugh. Did not like it at all. I’m not particularly sensitive to scents, but It smells BAD.

It smells like old ‘stank,’ like the odor clothes get when someone puts unwashed clothes in a garbage bag and stores it in a hot attic for several years. Just an old STANKY smell that does NOT fade as the product dries down.

The odor can be somewhat hidden by putting some other perfumed moisturizer on top (or the oil that comes in this kit,) but the only way to make the odor go away is to wash it off. Nonetheless I was willing to give it a try – if it did miracles, I’d put up with stink (though only when I was home alone.

I wouldn’t wear it out where others would smell that odor coming from me!) Well. no miracles and the moisturizer isn’t very moisturizing either. Absolute and total disappointment with the moisturizer.

The Hydrating Oil – unlike some who had a problem with getting an empty bottle or a solid substance, I did get a decent sized container of liquid ‘oil’ that was ‘oily’ – I don’t know what more to say about it.

It didn’t moisturize anything or make my skin feel softer. it just made my skin look oily/greasy/slimy/shiny which these days is being marketed as ‘dewy. ‘ I don’t understand how looking sweaty is supposed to look ‘youthful’ (I guess teens – who are young – with acne problems also often have oily skin problems? So oily=young?) but it seems that some people have bought into that fad.

If you like looking like you need to towel off or take a shower because you are all sweaty, or are breaking out in a hot flash, then this is the oil for you and it will give you that wet/moist look. This set is NOT worth the money, in my opinion.

This kit is a great way to try the Lancer Method for the first time. I have combination but dehydrated skin, and I chose the Normal/Combo Kit. My main concerns about trying the Lancer products were that the Polish would be too rough, the Cleanse would be too stripping, and the Nourish wouldn’t be moisturizing enough.

I was wrong on all counts. I use a small amount of the Polish and it exfoliates well. My face feels so soft afterwards. The Cleanse is a low-lathering cleanser that doesn’t make my face feel tight and dry.

The Nourish is the perfect consistency- not too heavy and not too light – that makes my face feel comfortable after cleansing. The bonus in this kit is the Omega oil. I do use a facial oil at night (Josie Marian Argan Reserve) and I enjoyed using the Omega oil on top of the other products.

I like this kit so much that I’ve already ordered the full-size Lancer Method products.

This is another product I also recently purchased as part of a favorites bag on a skincare website (Dermstore). Let me just say how impressed I am with this beauty bag. For $52. 50, you get a bag filled with several skincare products with a retail value of $241.

A few of the products in the bag are full size. Lancer the method polish was on the full size items. I have never tried anything from this line until now and this polish is such an amazing facial scrub.

You need very little and the granules are so small that you can barely feel any pressure. Not to mention how soft my skin feels after using it. This facial scrub is a dream. Highly recommend!.

I tried the 3 step system many years ago and didn’t like it. At the time, I used the pink toner which I felt irritated my skin. Looking back, I used to use way too many actives and my skin was dehydrated and irritated regardless, so I don’t think it was fair of me to put the blame squarely on Clinique.

Currently I struggle with redness, blackheads, a few clogged pores and very oily skin (fun combo!). Recently, I tried the purple toner with the moisturiser gel (I just use the take the day off balm to wash my face).

Using these 3 products made a visible difference in my skin. My pores appeared smaller, less redness and more even skin tone. I was also breaking out less and my skin was way less oily. I could actually go the entire day without powdering my nose which was a first for me.

I was very impressed as I’ve used many different products and this line helped my skin the most in such a short time. The reason I stopped using it, is because I still had black heads and some clogged pores on my cheeks.

I knew clinique wasn’t causing them, as I’ve had them forever but I thought perhaps I could find something better. Well, after trying a bunch of different products, I’m going back to Clinique with my tail between my legs.

Although Clinique gets a lot of negative reviews about how harsh it is, I actually find it really gentle and it doesn’t irritate my redness prone skin – in fact, it helps my redness more than anything else I’ve used.

As for the clogged pores and black heads, I’m now examining my makeup products and changing foundations to see if that helps (I’m a bit fan estee lauder double wear, so perhaps it’s just too heavy for my skin).

I really like the 3 step program and would recommend trying it, just make sure you get the right products for your skin type.

I think this toner is pretty awesome. I worked for Clinique a few years ago and fell in love with their skin care line. This is part of the 3step program, wash, tone and moisturize. These three stress helped my skin tremendously.

I love making my purchase during gift, that way I can stock up on the newest products and some fan favorites. This tones is for regular to dry skin. It is the second step in getting back to beautiful skin.

I love Clinique and when they have a good sale, especially with a gift set included. I am always adding new products to try but the holy grail is the daily eye cream used to depuff soften the skin under and around your eyes.

I have been a loyal Clinique consumer for years and this product is the reason why. Great value for such an abundance of beautiful products. I have had incredibly oily skin for years but these products are just amazing, leaving my skin soft and clean.

First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent).

I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor).

I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred.

I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply.

When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. It’s not my holy grail but I’ll definitely use the whole tube especially since it didn’t break out my sensitive/acne prone skin.

I’m not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare.

Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone. I’ve been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don’t mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I’m not really getting with this moisturizer.

If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers. The design of the cap also isnt the best.

one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they’re too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. Many of my products already contain the same actives – ceramides, niacinamide, etc.

That, plus not being super impressed by the hydration, I would pass on this product.

Fantastic non-drying daily cleanser set. I’ve repurchased this set many times in the larger formats so i recommend this specific set as a trial to see if it works for you. – The squalene cleanser is an oil balm, so it’s meant to be used with dry hands, and on dry skin.

You rub it in (like a cleansing balm) till you feel it melt, usually like 60 seconds. I find this cleanser to be very good at giving me that “clean skin” feel and gets off all of my makeup, including waterproof products.

– The moisturizer is a great, non fragranced, no additives moisturizer, so it works great as a mixing agent for your serums (I switch my serums up pretty often: nicinamide, retinol, buffet, vit c etc).

I typically like to add my niacinamide (3 drops because im extremely sensitive to it) to it, as it doesn’t allow the niacinamide to dry out my skin as quickly. – The hyaluronic serum is by far my favorite one out of the 30 I’ve tried.

Very hydrating. Reading the other reviews leads me to belive people are not using the ordinary products properly. If you apply them In the correct order, with the proper amount of absorption time between products, there is no pilling or dry patches that peel.

The Ordinary is by far NOT Ordinary, and deserves all the hype it gets.

Cleanser: This has been the oil cleanser I’ve been looking for! It does a great job at cleansing and breakdown my makeup and anything else on my face at the end of the day without clogging my pores. Also a little bit goes a long way so it is very reasonably priced.

Moisturiser: I will definitely be repurchasing this in a bigger size! It is my new favourite moisturiser (and I have tried many at different price points). I usually struggle with moisturiser creams feeling too thick and I can feel the layer sitting on top of my skin which is a pain when I want to put sunscreen over top.

However, this sinks beautifully into the skin and allows me to sunscreen on soon after. Serums: I have tried both serums 3 times before and constantly come back to the ordinary. Whilst not mind-blowing results, as gentle acids they do their job plumping and hydrating the skin whilst giving a good glow which is exactly what I am after.

The applicators also make it super easy to apply without any cross-contamination. for context: i am a teen with combination skin which isn’t sensitive or acne-prone.

I have sensitive to very dry flaky skin. I was in search of a new skincare cause the ones I used just wasn’t working for me. I hated how my makeup looked and how foundation would just latches onto my dry skin even when I exfoliate it and do skincare right.

So I researched this brand it’s affordable which is a plus nice packaging too and has all ingredients without the bad stuff huge plus! This set didn’t even burn my face. Very hydrating. I thought I knew how to use it without the direction lol but i end up doing it wrong so after reading how to use it worked way better (silly me) anyways this has improved my skin & I’ll continue using it and knowing it won’t break my bank either! GREAT SET! I now have no dryness or flaky skin! For the makeup remover i put it to the test and rub my eye makeup and mascara out to its gentle and I find didn’t even burn my eyes at all.

Although it did make my eyes bit cloudy like some liquid or oil eye makeup remover does but this didn’t sting just cloudy.

I have combination acne prone skin, and I needed a product that would moisturize my face without clogging my pores. This stuff is supposed to moisturize dry parts without aggravating oily areas and is labeled as noncomedogenic, so it should have been a good addition to my routine, right? Boy was I wrong.

A day after I started using this, my skin broke out in little bumps everywhere- pustules and closed comedones all over my cheeks, chin, and forehead. This was the only new product I added to my routine, so I know it wasn’t anything else.

I’m pretty sure it’s because of the fatty alcohols in the ingredients- if you’re sensitive to those, learn from my mistake and just leave this product on the shelf. I haven’t even used it for a full week and it’s broken my skin out so badly, it’s going in the trash now.

Back to the drawing board.

I don’t know what the heck is off with this formula. I checked it on cos DNA to see the differences and it appears there was a formula change. I’ve been using the Neutrogena oil free moisturizers for years.

I usually use the spf 35 but this was in the only one in stock so I thought why not. It broke me out horribly. I had no idea it was this that was causing it until two weeks in. I was in denial because I use the spf 15 no problem.

Once I stopped using it my skin has been calming down. This is definitely not comedogenic and it’s been so distressing dealing with these breakouts. It’s formula is also very liquidy and different than the spf 35.

Such a waste of money and bad timing.

This is an amazing moisturizer for combination skin and acne-prone skin! The texture was really nice and felt great on the skin; it’s light but moisturizing and doesn’t weigh the skin down (you’ll forget you were wearing it!) My bottle has lasted quite a while which goes to say that a little goes a long way with this product! I will say because it doesn’t have the thickest coverage, I’m not sure how this would fare with people with drier skin types, so I only used this at night before bed during the winter.

Overall, it was a great purchase, and I’d buy it again.

I love this product. I ran out and recently rotated back in. It’s my go to day product, especially if I’m working. I’ll use this, vitamin C and Inkey list BHA together and I never breakout or have oily skin at the end of the day! It is very mattifying and I don’t use this as serum on its own.

I don’t personally find it hydrating and I don’t use it for Niacinamide’s other benefits. Niacinamide is in everything these days so if you don’t have oily skin or your looking for a serum for Brighting, glowy skin, or something hydrating don’t buy this one, the combo of this and the zinc does what it says, reduces redness and oil control.

But it definitely doesn’t dry you out either if using moisturizer. The serum it self is nice…not quite a gel but not a cream. It glides on nice but does dry down fast and can make your skin tacky. But once you put a moisturizer on your skin is not tacky at all.

Works well with other products and doesn’t pill. Again I use this as a day treatment, combined with my BHA = no oil and no breakouts after work (or after wearing a mask). I personally like hydrating and renewing products at night so I don’t find a benefit to using it at night, but find what works for you!!.

I like this one so much more than the ordinarys version. Not only does it have the niacinamide at a 10% concentration, it’s got multi molecular weight HA for hydration, squalane for conditioning and hydration and Allantoin works to calm and soothe ur skin.

So it’s go much more to it than just niacinamide like the ordinary’s is. This one I thought was also more cosmetically elegant, it felt better and applied better! It doesn’t leave a super tacky or sticky finish.

And I saw a difference in being less oily. Niacinamide is such a versatile ingredient too, it helped fade my hyperpigmentation, decreased my oil production and I feel like my skin looks brighter because of it too.

This is so affordable and such a great product, it makes it soo easy to stick this into your daily routine! Repurchasing is cheap and it wears well with everything I’ve with it! Definitely recommend the better option for niacinamide serums in this price range, highly recommend!!.

The formula truly is quite luxurious and hydrating, yet it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. Unfortunately I think the fragrance/plant extract irritated my skin. It smells of light florals (which I imagine to be the wild teasel plant): an inoffensive creamy, floral musk with a hint of faint apple (like a real apple, not artificial apple scent).

The scent is nice but I noticed mild stinging and redness of my cheeks & nose upon applying, as well as an itchy spot on my cheek. I used it as step 3 over 2 of my normal products and haven’t noticed any pilling, which is nice.

I’ll be washing it off now, though, due to the irritation. I think this would be lovely for non-irritable skin, as it is visibly hydrating and I’m impressed by the lack of pilling (even while I’m trying to rub it to test).

I’d still recommend it to someone who has normal/nonsensitive skin.

I’ve had this pack for a little over a year and have used all of the products in here at least once. I have combo skin, leaning more towards oily in the summer which is when I used this set the most.

The Cleanser: A nice gentle cleanse that doesn’t overly strip the skin and leave you feeling tight. I don’t think it’s worth the price though, especially if you’re thinking about buying the full size, there’s nicer cleansers at Mecca.

If you like it though and it works for you and you can justify the price it’s not a bad cleanser. If you wear makeup you’ll definitely need to double cleanse because this won’t remove it all. The Toner: Doesn’t really fit the toner bill for me.

It says it’s a toner that is also a “cleansing lotion”. I like my toner to be apart of the serum stage and help to target a problem if not moisturise. This “toner” left me feeling really tight and after a long day I felt I had more oil not less, so it wasn’t balancing my skin it was stripping it of natural oil production.

The Moisturiser: This moisturiser was quite nice for during the day, it didn’t promote excess oil and also had an SPF of 15, which isn’t fantastic but it’s something although you’d have to layer another sunscreen on top to get a beneficial protection.

You can’t use it at night as it has sunscreen in it and you don’t want sunscreen on at night. I also wasn’t really a fan of the smell. I wouldn’t repurchase. The Flower and Tonic Mask: I used this for the first time recently and it was not for me.

Granted my skin has been a little more dry recently, but this was just overly stripping. I followed the directions, except I only had it on for 10 mins rather than the recommended 15 – 20. This mask got so tight on my face I could move it, other than this it was comfortable on my skin, no stinging or any other irritation.

When I washed it off though my skin still felt tight and dry and putting on moisturiser stung and flushed. I’ve never had a problem with the moisturiser that I use. The few days following I had multiple breakouts and irritable skin.

I’m quite confident that it damaged my skin barrier. I’m not using this mask again. The Seaweed Night Cream: It’s such a small pot of it that you can barely get your finger in there to get the product out.

Due to it being so small it also didn’t last very long and I was only using it around my eyes. It also doesn’t smell very nice.

I have combination skin, and I regularly use the brand first aid beauty, but most times I go in store they’ve been out of stock, so I opted to buy this kit to test it out and possibly switch as it’s significantly cheaper than what I normally get.

Well after just two days of using as directed I’ve noticed a significant amount of breakouts and redness in my face. I normally don’t have bad acne and when o do get breakouts it’s one or two small spots.

But my entire face has began to breakout. Also, after washing my face does not feel clean, it only feels super oily. Aside from all of that, the smell is not that great either. It’s a cheaper brand, and it’s definitely noticeable.

The quality of this product is horrendous.

I went into my local Ulta and I received so much help and information on skin care products and ultimately decided to go with this one because it’s budget friendly and I’m just starting out with a skin care regimen so I chose this to begin getting into the swing of things with the goal of progressing to adding additional skin care products to my regimen.

I’ve been using this kit approaching a week and I’m already noticing a positive change in my skin overall. My skin is much calmer and no new breakouts. I suffer from hormonal and sometimes stress related cystic acne.

Even though I’ve been using this product for a short period of time I really really like it. It doesn’t over dry or irritate my skin. The smell of the products I absolutely adore – it’s more of a spa like botanical smell.

(I’ve seen reviews where others have said the smell is awful and I disagree) but I guess it’s all about one’s smell preference and perspective. The moisturizer is light and not greasy or overbearing.

The mask is great – I use it once in the beginning of the week on a Monday then on Friday which are also my self appointed self care days. The eye cream hasn’t really made a huge impact on me and it may be because I have dark circles around my eyes due to iron deficiency anemia.

But I think it’s definitely a good product for those just starting out with a skin care regimen. I’m going to use this product for about 2-3 months and then try the acne regime kit to compare. Oh! I also drink heaps and heaps of filtered water and I think that plays a great part in skin care as well and eating a variety of fruits and veggies.

I have been using Clinique products since I was 10 when my mother got me started on a skincare routine back in 2006 and have always kept a Clinique product in my routine. Since 06′ specifically I have always used the clarifying lotion 2 (purple liquid) but back in May switched to 3; I have sensitive, non-acne prone skin with rosacea patches all over my face and neck.

It was recommended to me to switch to the clarifying lotion 3, as even though I do not and have not suffered from acne (besides a brief period of hormonal acne as a result of health issues for a few months, which has since cleared up) I was told this could help with my rosacea – other rosacea treatments I currently include in my routine is the use of an azelaic acid serum at night and BHA serum in the morning.

Since the switch back in May (this purchase is my second bottle) my rosacea has almost completely cleared up and this is the longest I’ve ever gone without a flare up (summer is the worst and I would have one almost weekly).

The patches on my forehead have completely cleared up, only half the patches on my cheeks and one patch on my neck is red – but significantly lighter in color; but for my whole face and neck – all of the other physical side effects of the rosacea has cleared.

I can’t speak on behalf of people who suffer from acne, have oily skin or dry skin; but I can say that this has been a drastic positive change for my rosacea. The product also has not dried out my sensitive skin – but I have always followed the clarifying lotion with a hydrating essence before any serums, a thick moisturizer, and sunscreen.

For those who said this product negatively affected their skin, they most likely didnt use the right one for their skin type. There are 4 different versions of this clarifying lotion from very dry to super oily so its important to really assess your skin type/get the right one to see the best results.

with that being said, I love this product!!!!! In the morning i wash my face with a gentle cleanser, sweep this across my face with a cotton ball, then let dry and follow it with an acne lotion (i use the mattifying one from cetaphil).

My skin looks so bright and smooth all day long! It also doesnt affect any of my skin makeup if theres a day when I want to look more done up, however, lately all ive had to do is sweep some blush on my cheeks, mascara, and a lipstick and im ready for the day! At night I do the same but instead follow with my night time serums.

I think this helps everything absorb much better than it did before. I havent had any of my occasional breakouts that i usually get like clockwork since adding this into my routine and im even getting compliments.

My skin has never been this clear and smooth, especially this effortlessly!.

I started using this free sample product included in my order and instantly loved it. It has been a while since I used a liquid face toner. I really thought I didn’t need one. But actually it is essential after the first step of cleansing.

My skin feels better, cleaner, brighter, smoother with each use and not to mention the surprising dirt accumulated on the cotton pad after (even dried pimple skin). Serums/moisturizers/sunscreens are absorbed better.

Sometimes I skip this step on hurried mornings but make sure to really do this in the evenings with my nightly routine. I stock on the 200ml and transfer some to a 30ml bottle to minimize accidental spilling on my dresser.

I use more of this than any other Clinique product and I easily run out. I love the mattifying result of this liquid. This should definitely be part of every beauty regimen.

We all get acne and have issues with hyperpigmentation. This product is definitely one that I can’t stress enough that you need to incorporate into your skincare regimen. It can be safely used by both teens and adults alike.

I do recommend applying this product in a small amount to your entire face (excluding your eye area). You can press pat it into your skin or you can rub it in in until it has absorbed. If you apply to much, then you can expect to see it looking a bit foamy on the skin.

This is a concentrated serum, which is why, less is best when applying it, Now, when stating it, I recommend using it 2-3 times a week max (preferably at night), due to the very high level of niacinamide in it, which most peoples skins aren’t normally accustomed to.

The Zinc in it is designed to help decrease excess sebum production. Even though I have very sensitive, dry/very dry, eczema & acne prone skin, this product has never caused me any major problems that would ever make me want to stop using it.

Plus, it is virtually scentless as well. It will with decreasing the appear every of large pores and definitely aid with lightening up hyperpigmentation and hoping to increase the overall clarity of ones skin, and helping with decreasing acne breakouts as well.

However, it takes a minimum of 3 weeks to see marked improvement to ones skin, when adding any new product into your skincare regimen, okay. Which is why, having patience is definitely key for sure. There are no products that work overnight or even after a week’s time, not even Retin A.

Please give this product the proper chance to do it’s job. It definitely is life-changing(in my opinion) for sure!.

I fell in love with The Ordinary brand after using this product first and although it seems like a high percentage of Niacinamide, my skin loves it. The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% has a very thin, watery consistency.

I found that when I’m not using Niacinamide in my other skincare products, I use this serum as my first layer since it’s very thin and absorbs so easily. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a lovely ingredient that prevents breakouts, although it’s not an acne treatment by any means.

I love how this product reduced inflammation and can help to reduce the appearance of blemishes on the face. The added Zinc helps alleviate excess sebum production from getting out of control on the face.

Remember if you’re using a Vitamin C topical product, to alternate and use one at night and one at day because this formula can alter the efficacy of many Vitamin C formulations. I love this this product is cruelty free, vegan, alcohol free, silicone free, nut free, gluten free, and oil free.

This product will not cause breakouts, but I have heard of people purging on this. If your skin breaks out in small bumps for a couple days and that goes away, that’s purging. If it breaks out all over, stop using the product and find a low concentration of Niacinamide that’s 2-5% only.

I love how this product fights sebum production so not only is it targeting my acne scars, but it’s preventing new blemishes from popping up and all for $5. 90!!! Wowee! That’s amazingly inexpensive price for this product.

I recommend this product for ALL skin types! Oiliest acne prone to the dryest acne prone skin (like mine)! Please do a patch test! This isn’t going to have an instant anti scarring effect. It works on Hyperpigmentation, but over time.

I think anyone who gets excess sebum production, or especially has an oily t-zone would love this serum! Simply apply without touching dropper to your face as your 1st layer before any heavier lotions, creams, or your daily SPF.

This serum has been an almost-miracle product for my sensitive, redness-prone, blemish-prone skin. My only qualm with it is that it SERIOUSLY STINGS if you apply it to any active breakouts or broken skin.

My skin was in seriously terrible condition due to a Lupus flare and hormonal acne, but after everything healed, I have been able to use this without irritation, following it with the Hyaluronic Acid/B5 serum, Pycnogenol, and Marula Oil (or moisturizing factor lotion).

It really has transformed the texture of my skin, to a more noticeable degree than most of The Ordinary’s other products (besides the Alpha Lipoic Acid serum, which I miss so much). My pores are refined, especially on my forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks on either side of my nose.

Once prone to being easily-inflamed, sensitive areas of my face are no longer red, and now look more smooth. Oily patches, especially my nose, are less-oily. I have fewer clogged pores and blackheads, and less blemishes from irritation.

I purchased the 2oz bottle from The Ordinary’s website, since I apply this to my chest, upper arms, and back as well, as I sometimes have breakouts from malassezia. It also quickly fades the purple/red post-blemish marks on my very fair skin.

It does make my skin feel drier and tight if I don’t moisturize thoroughly afterwards, especially during this part of the winter, so keep that in mind. The price also makes it easier to use it liberally where ever I need it.

Other than the stinging, it’s a fantastic serum for my very high-maintenance, 30-year-old skin.

I have now been using this moisturiser for around a year. It may seem expensive, but a little goes a long way. I started to use this after my dermatologist recommended it. I realised I had skin picking disorder, so my face is fairly covered in red marks and scarring.

After using this moisturiser for months, I had forgotten how good it is. I switched back to my other moisturiser after running out for around a week or so, and forgot how thick it was. The La Roche-Posay moisturiser, in comparison, is extremely light and makes your skin feel smooth, but not greasy.

It has improved the appearance of my skin after using it again for only a few days since re-ordering. I have had no new spots as with my other moisturiser, and it really does reduce the appearance of red marks.

I have never used a moisturiser which makes me feel more confident with the appearance of my skin, and I have never stuck to another for so long after finding it works. I always recommend this to everybody, and will continue to do so even more after being reminded how well it works recently!.

Okay so I gave this a good long shot before writing a review. I bought it after my best friend’s boyfriend recommended it to her. It cleared up both their skin & he was recommended it by his dermatologist so I thought I would give it a try! I’m on my second tube of this and use it every morning.

It has made my skin a little dry though (so beware! Not for super dry skin girlies) so I use another basic moisturiser on the evening and it evens it out. This moisturiser works fantastic under makeup, doesn’t make my primer or foundation go weird, which is a big plus! – My skin absolutely looks beautiful now.

I have suffered with acne for yeaaars and get hormonal breakouts. My skin looks so even and I hardly get spots anymore. I do however still get the occasional under the skin bumps when hormonal. But the big noticeable hormonal spots are gone! So happy with how my skin is looking, definitely will keep going with this stuff! Sometimes you just have to stick with things a little longer to get results.

I cannot believe it took me so long to try this. I have been using spf moisturisers for 5 years and the effects on my skin are such that people routinely guess my age 7 years lower than what it actually is.

My skin was kinda oily and I was looking for one that balanced well and wasn’t just a mattifying moisturiser that ruins my pores. I tried this because of: price, niacinamide, and spf30. I have been using it for two months and I will not be switching any time soon.

It reduces appearance of poors (niacinamide), stops me burning (spf30) and best of all, my skin looks balanced and clean with no oiliness or dryness. It spreads easily and without excess residue, doesn’t feel oily, and the bottle lasts surprisingly long despite liberal application.

I wholeheartedly recommend this moisturiser. 10/10.

This is my favorite face wash. I have skin that is oily and sometimes combination depending on the humidity. The texture is really smooth and the scent isn’t strong at all. It feels great on my skin.

I exclusively use this face wash daily. I’ve tried other brands and always go back to this one. It’s a great amount that lasts me months. I am a habitual purchaser and do not mind.

Using this as a cleanser alone I can’t really say does a good job, to be fair it does say ‘for light makeup’ on the bottle but I would only use this on makeup free days. I used some when I first got it and it sat in the bathroom unused for a while after i didnt think it was very good.

It’s almost too gentle, but it is a handy thing to have if you’ve happened to over cleanse and you’re feeling a bit dry, or gone in a bit too hard with acids. Plus, I found another use, its a good emollient for shaving! I use it for this all the time ( I used to use hair conditioner).

Smells nice and doesn’t leave a residue. I’ll probably try the enzyme one next but can see myself repurchasing this in future. I would just advise people not to purchase expecting a very thorough cleanse, its very light and gentle.

This stuff is lightly scented- not overwhelming at all, and has a nice, light texture to it. My only complaint (that wasn’t worth knocking it down a star, but worth noting for future buyers), is that it is a GEL, it doesn’t foam and it almost feels like it’s getting lost on your face as you work it into your skin.

I prefer stuff that foams, or at least has a texture to it so I feel like I’m doing something with my face wash. It’s just something I’m getting used to, and doesn’t deter my use of this product. But keep that in mind- if you are a die hard foamer, maybe look elsewhere.
