20 Best Skid Steer For Mulching (2023 Updated)

Been wanting a 3pt chipper for some time and chose this after watching several videos. Quick to assemble and to put into use. I took it out to our christmas tree farm to chip undesired trees. On the way the private road was blocked by trees from a recent storm.

This made quick work of the tree limbs to get the road open. After getting to the area to chip up the trees it made short work of it and is providing a chip pile for mulching. I did not shear any pins or plug the chipper up.

I wish all my work was as fun as this was to use.

Received the chipper. Had some shipping damage. Surprised as it was shipped in a well made crate. Contacted Titan and received a quick response for the shipping damage. The chipper is very well made.

Hooked up to my 25 HP tractor. Chipped up some brush that I had cut down. Largest diameter was approximately 3 inches. The chipper worked great and the 25 HP tractor handled it just fine. Very good customer service and well made product.

I bought the smaller of the two chippers for my 24. 9 hp Yanmar SA424. My last chipper was a Bearcat for a 33 hp Deere. This new chipper out performs the other hands down. I had two people walking limbs to me to feed into the chipper and they couldn’t keep up with me feeding this beast.

This machine actually self feeds with four large cutting blades. The opening is way wider which means little fussing and removal of side limbs to make it feed. Wow, did I ever make the right choice this time.

Engine never slowed down either!.

Shipping was prompt, and assembly was intuitive. I had used a bucket spear (from a different company), but i was unsatisfied with the stability on my skid steer. I feel much safer with this unit. Thanks!.

I am very pleased with my new purchase. Shipping was quick and free as advertised. I have a case tractor with a Woods loader quick attach (skid steer style) and the spear fit perfectly. Moved 11 4×5 round hays yesterday evening with no issues.

Hello, I run a landscaping company and was in the market for a finishing planer and came across this company. I had never heard of Titan but did some research and decided that for the price, it was a gamble, but ultimately purchased this planer.

I mainly purchased this for my mid size skid steer with 46hp. I believe this will hold up very well with this specific size of machine and will last a long while. (Supports, cutting blades, attachment plate, ripper bars, and welds are of good quality and have no complaints).

I do have larger skid steers with 90 to 100hp and personally feel comfortable running this attachment on them. However, being that this is a new peice, I chose not to run this on them. I’ve seen to many attachments crumble due to the sheer brute force when works fail to pay attention.

I feel very content with this attachment and the price that was paid. This is an AWESOME PRODUCT overall. Will definitly return to try other attachments from this company. Also, they were terrific in the shipping aspect as well.

Overall the entire transaction went very well and I was happy to do business with them.

Received this and did miracles to my gravel driveway within the first 30 min of using it. Also did fantastic on my shop pad getting all the pits out from the rain on dirt. For gravel I recommend taking the grates out, but it does a fantastic job.

The optional combs does magic prepping dirt for seeding without having to bring an expensive Harley rake out and is pretty efficient.

Equipment works as should. Arrived missing a tooth and scratched up. Rust was everywhere it was scratched and in majority of the welded seams. Looked pretty rough for being new.

4 of the scarifer teeth bent on the first day and the attachment blade bent on the second day. The quality of the steel material is very poor. I do not recommend.

Bought these to do some logging work. They work great. Hole in the fork tip is great for hooking the carabiner and skidding logs. Tapered fork end makes it easy for scooping logs up. Slot in the main frame for the chain is very useful when moving multiple logs.

Easy to put on and off. Super light weight for pallet forks which increases how much you can lift. Took about an hour to get used to them as the hood on my 2013 MX5100 blocks the view of the fork tips.

Easy to use the main frame as your guide for level. Welds are great and the pins that hold on the forks are way stronger than they would seem.

Very well built and easy to use. The quick attach works very good and it was very easy to assemble. I would like to see an option to order this with collars for hay spikes and a 2” hitch receiver at the bottom center of the quick attach.

I doubt I will use the end of the forks with a trailer ball. I have a 14’ cargo trailer that I haul firewood with and I believe the added length with the forks and tongue weight of the trailer would be too much for the forks.

If I can come up with a quick removable ball, this may work for easily moving trailers around. Would also like to see an option to add a grapple to the top of the quick attach bracket. All and all a well built piece of equipment.

Works great for my Kubota BX2380 with quick attach. Not too heavy, so I’m still able to lift heavy items. Assembly is easy. The forks are a good length for piling on branches and brush, and then dumping with ease.

This is a really handy attachment for moving stuff around that would be awkward with a bucket, and it’s much cheaper and simpler than a grapple. I’m glad I made this purchase!.

This grapple bucket is limited in its ability to pick up anything. If it is a log longer then 48” then it will pick it up fine. If it is any kind of brush there is only one tine on each side of the top that just allows the brush to fall out.

In addition this grapple protrudes forward quite far making the log weight very far forward limiting lift power. This distance would be great for brush if the top had more tines to bite down with to hold everything in.

I have cleaned up several trees felled so far and getting up the limbs is very aggravating as they keep falling out. Overall construction seams very study and thick metal but i did bend one of the top tooth tines on a large log almost immediately.

One of the 2 bolts for the hose spring was stripped out when it came. So far it has worked fine with hust one bolt.

Installed on Husqvarna GT-48DXLS – do not listen to Husqvarna, this is the correct kit. My only complaints are that I wish the cap was metal, and I wish it didn’t clump up so much. The latter be my fault for letting the grass get too long between mows (I don’t have time to mow multiple times a week), but it’s still miles better than side discharge.

My mower easily threw clippings 30′ from the chute from the factory, and I don’t have to deal with mountains of clippings like with my bagger. I would absolutely buy this again, even with the issues it works great and was an easy install.

I bought the mulching kit for my zero turn Husqvarna Z248F mower and it is great! No more stupid chute hanging 5 of the side of the mower hitting everything under the sun, and no more not being able to drive it in the shed without holding the chute up with a tie! How annoying was that?! Additionally, with this kit on it doesnt throw debris everywhere (in your mulch beds!), and doesnt make as much dust for you to sneeze on! Why would you want it any other way? The kit came with new mulching blades, the chute cover, and two heavy-duty attachments for the underside of the deck.

Installation was easy (just remember to keep all bolts loose until you have started them all, especially on the chute cover). Not sure why those other reviews said they thought it wasnt held on properly, they were likely not mechanically included and installed incorrectly.

No issues noted, upgrade your mower and be happy! Cheers!.

Installation was a bit challenging. Good that I had a lift for the front of my tractor. A lot of grass collected on the plates added to the mower deck. Not easy to clean. When I reverse it leaves clumps of grass.

The chute plug is difficult to remove and reinstall! All in all the kit does the job but wish it was easier to install and remove!.

There is a welding error on the skidster mount on this bucket. The internal distance between the two gussets is 20 3/4″ and the distance between the two adapter paddles is 20 3/8″. If the internal gussets had been welded at the end of the upper “hook” instead of 1/4′ in from the end the mount would work fine but they were not.

I live in the country in AZ and the closest welder with a plasma cutter is 50 miles away. Please advise corrective action.

I ordered a stump bucket with the hope of getting rid of several stumps on my property. I will say beyond a doubt that I’m extremely satisfied that I have one. The stump bucket worked beyond my wildest dreams,.

ripping out stumps 2 inches to 9 inches in diameter. It only took minutes for my kubota to dig the stumps out with the stump bucket. I would certainly recommend anyone who has stumps on their property to buy a stump bucket.

Had 1992 Chevy Property Plow Truck with Western Unimount Plow. Scrapped the truck and pulled the plow. Ran across this 3 point mount looking at titan web site. Looking at the plow and this mount looked like plow could be easily updated to be 3 point attachment.

Purchased washers and class 1 3 point attachment pins from tractor supply, and made spacer for larger hole side in plow. Bolt and nuts for the chain for top mount. Purchased new longer hydraulic hoses and tractor quick connects fittings.

Still need to add wood spacer so plow does not shift when plowing on the cross bar from side to side. Attached are pictures of plow on tractor. Tractor has 3rd function valve installed to control plow side to side movement.

Used Unimount Western Plow sell in $200 to $800 range as older style plow. Brother in law is coming over to see set up. He is interested possibly getting used plow and making same set up. When mount not in use for the winter on plow can possibly find some uses this summer.

The 3-point adapter overall is good for the price. However, the holes for 3-point attachments pins are neither designed for category 1 or category 2 attachments. I had to spend a great deal of time and effort grinding/milling out the 1-1/16″ holes to 1-1/8″ so that I could install cat.

2 to cat. 1 reducer bushings that I purchased online. This included both the top and lower link arm mounts. Also, upon attaching to my Bobcat T630 quick attach Bob-Tach Mounting Plate, I found the spacing from top to bottom of the 3-point adapter plate too large in height, and very sloppy in fit to my Bobcat mounting plate, which could lead to the 3-point adapter plate coming off during use.

I therefore welded a 1″ wide x 8″ long x 3/8″ thick steel flat stock at the bottom of the 3-point adapter plate at the area by the Bob-Tach mounting plate quick attach pins to tighten up the fit and remove the excessive vertical sloppiness.

After all that retrofitting. fits & functions great!.

Heavy built. 1. Clearances: I had to cut the hitch receiver off because the A frame on my rake hit it before I could attach the lower pins. 2. Kickstand: This thing really needs a kickstand. Easy enough to make my own but for this price it should be included.

3. Engineering: It should have holes in the carriage so the lower leg collars can be pinned in place to remove some of the slop. As it is now the attachment (rake) moves back and forth along the carriage when in use.

Very well made; heavy, lots of steel, should last a long time. However, the pin slots did not match my tractor’s quick-tach pin locations. Had to cut and grind to fit, which reduced the strength of the slot connection to the rake.

This may not matter when pushing debris, but will when back-dragging. I asked about this alignment issue before buying, but did not get a technical answer. It seems as if the slot was designed to fit skid steer machines and not tractors as much.

Could be easily fixed, I would think.

Good solid rake but the stands that attach in each side to hold it up are a very poor design. It’s and square tube with a hole drilled through it that is upright when in use. They both broke at the holes for the pins while pushing a brush pile.

There should be a different way to secure the legs or both hole should have quick release pins so they can be removed. Without the legs it is a lot harder to connect.

Everything about the plate was great except for the long weld on the top seem. It was almost fully delaminated from the front plate. Idk if it was a cold weld or it was just too big of a weld for a single pass, 1/2” to 1/2” thick steel.

I’ve bought about a dozen attachment plates from a couple different manufacturers and titan is the best. Cleanest steel and best bends but the long seen on the top always makes me give it a second look.

Even on the 1/4” plates. Still the best for my money. Especially considering the quality of the other EBay plates.

I had a small 3-pt backhoe that did not works so great on my small tractor. With the use of this 1/2 adapter plate and some steel tube I was able to repurpose it as a skid steer powered backhoe attachment.

After some additional hose fittings and a priority valve to give the proper flow rate it works really good on my skid steer. Although it does help to have a person in the skid steer while another operates the hoe for quicker trenching.

The plate provides a much more solid attachment than the 3-pt did and it is quick now to attach/detach.

Delivered quickly. Fit Great. Good heavy-duty construction. Used it to adapt an old snowplow to tractor. Bolted fabricated frame work to plate. In the process now of building a set of pallet forks and a stump remover that can also be bolted to the plate.

In about 10 min of bolting I can have 3 different attachments from one plate.

I bought this because I wish to clear land and trails without leaving behind multiple small stumps to trip walkers and puncture tires. I did a lot of research in this area and found it to be the way to accomplish that goal.

I own a 35horse tractor and don’t have a ton of experience on it but found with minimal time I’m getting pretty handy with it. I decided on Titan because I signed up for emails and they sent me an offer (sale price) I couldn’t refuse was best price on this type of attachment.

It has surpassed my expectations 10 fold and I am looking forward to many more uses for this. I’m sure u could do all my tasks with a chain but that would require on off tractor all day, or hiring someone to work the end of the chain.

What I’ve done so far by my self in days would have taken weeks with a chain a laborer. Time saver and long term see as a money and frustration saver. I was also able to remove fencing without destroying it, to be used again.

Look at that, more cash back in my pocket. This is my second attachment now from Titan and cant say I’ve had no issues but mainly in the shipping and ordering side of things, that not being all their fault and when they could they did make things right.

Will handle much more than my 47 HP tractor can deliver. Very strong and sturdy. Would pay more for a grease zerk for the pivot arm (will add my own) and better protection for the hoses. No problem, though in use just pay attention while using.

Have pulled a few 5 inch elm trees while taking time to work the tree with various attachment angles and positions. I don’t overstress my tractor, as puller exceeds the limits of my power. Very satisfied and well worth the expense.

I was hesitant to purchase this because it seems there are mixed reviews. Now I can say from my own experience that I’m happy with the purchase. It arrived fast and it is well constructed. It fits on my JD 3025E without any modification and locks onto the loader quick connection securely.

So far I’ve only used it with a skid steer auger attachment and it fits the skid steer quick attach plate perfectly. The pins lock down as they should and it feels very secure while in use. I’m very happy with the purchase.

1st unit received didn’t work due to the way it is made. Replacement was the same. Had to re-cut the notch in the levers to for additional travel in order to allow installation and removal of the attachment.

Also had to grind gussets on each side to allow 2 of attachments to fit. Overall, build quality was ok. I suspect it wasn’t built to design and QC isn’t checking. A few adjustments and it works well.

I suspect that in time I will cut the bottom where it’s designed to attach to a 500 series loader.

Some of the support gussets needed to be modified to fit ssqa back plate. Grease Zerks needed to be changed out prior to use. Seemed like the Chinese company used a combination of both metric and SAE parts on the two piece zero.

Titan’s web site has a diagram of the adapter but that diagram did not have the necessary dimensions to determine if it would fit the JD side. The “Product Specialist” I contacted regarding fitment was a total waste of time.

Otherwise all good.

I couldn`t find anything bad about it. It fit perfectly. The quality was spot on and what i had hoped for. No cracks, the plate was perfectly straight, no warps. The welds were perfect, with excellent weld penetration.

It was shipped in a thin cardboard box. Packing could have been better. Other than that, i`m very pleased with the quik-attach plate.

I wish I would have converted my tractor to the universal attachment mount years ago. Now that I have my tractor is much more versatile. I have converted my bucket, pallet forks, and this latest adaptor is for a new grapple I’m working on.

I can’t say enough about these adaptors, well built, available in any standard thickness, and media blasted clean ready for painting. Five stars!.

I bought a quick attach adapter for my tractor and modified the existing bucket with the Titan mounting plate. 3/8″ is probably not necessary but that’s what I bought. Cutting off and grinding smooth the existing mounts and flanges from the original bucket was a lot of work.

I now have a quick attach bucket for about 1/10th of the cost of a new bucket.

for the price, I can’t complain. But it does need plow shows welded on. The hose fittings were loose and need to be tied up so they don’t get pinched. As far as a dozer blade. real light duty is okay.

spreading gravel in a driveway or leveling loose sand is about all you’ll do without the plow springs letting it flop over. The only thing else is if you are a welder or know one weld the inside of hose fittings almost closed to keep the rotation slow.

WELL, PLOW IS NOT BAD. I KNEW IT WAS LIGHTWEIGHT. HAD ANOTHER BUT SHORTER. HAD A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN TRYING TO FIND FITTINGS AND NEW HYD HOSES. TO FIT MY TRACTOR. ALL THESE CHINES THREADS ARE HARD TO CONVERT.

TOO BAD SOME OF THE COMPANIES DON’T OFFER HELP. BUT BEEN HERE BEFORE. AND OF COURSE NO SHOES. BUT NEW THAT. MORE MONEY. SAID ALL I SHOULD.

The Quick Tach plate does not fit very well, required trimming the top lip and opening the locking holes to allow proper engagement of locks. The hoses and flat face couplers are very cheap Chinese units that do not seal well and are very difficult to install.

Once you have everything hooked up, the cylinder action for pivoting the blade side to side is wildly violent and should have a restrictor to smooth the movement. The trip springs are very soft and adjusting them is tedious and unimpressive.

Other than those few things, it does what it was designed to do.

Purchased this mount plate onto which I welded a set of pallet forks. The quick attach configuration fit my 2022 Massey Ferguson GC1725M front loader (FL1805) perfectly. Very satisfied with the quality of the plate, customer service and delivery time.

Titan’s overall quality of work is great, in my opinion, and I’ve had a lot of experience in this field. Many years ago, my father had a welding/manufacturing business which was well known for our outstanding welds and very strong equipment.

Titan’s products remind me of the quality of work we produced. Built strong and extremely durable. Prior to ordering this attachment mount plate, I ordered a multi-function attachment frame with pallet forks, hay spear and a receiver.

This was for my Kubota front loader Quick Attach. I’ve used the forks and the hay spear many times with absolutely no issues. That is a great piece of equipment. I intend to build a boom/jib on the mount plate.

I inspected the welds, checked the breaks and cuts. I have no doubt that this is also going to work out great. Thanks, Titan, for making great equipment.

Well the upper lip is to be 45 degrees it was only about 40-41 deg. It should be 15. 750” from top lip down to bottom bend this one is 15. 875” and the bend at the bottom should be 60 deg. This is about 55-56 deg.

The first and second issues are the two real important issues. Especially the 45° on the upper lip by not having it set at 45° it puts a high pressure point on the lip therefore not spreading the load out on the lip surface.

This quick attach mounting plate that was purchased is only being used for a post hole digger so it is not real critical. If I was to purchase one for something that had a lot of stress issues I would be real concerned about these measurements in lip alignment on 45° angle.

I run 100 hp skid steer so these measurements need to be spot on.

well the title says it all, it fits very well on my Kubota. my Kubota has a heavy-duty frame plus quick disconnect on loader and backhoe, bucket. I’m making the plate fit a blade for pushing. this will give me an attachment that is easier to use than the three-point hitch removal.

also, I have a plow-type disk on the bucket to plow a little one row at a time. It’s very eeasy to use the Kubota the way things are.

I’m using the grader on a Kubota svl75-2 it works well for its intended purpose witch would be driveway maintenance. I added a swinging gate to the rear so that I could move bulk material. When backing, the gate swings forward for back cutting.

The cutting edges are extended to far for leveling a wide are so I am building a bolt on screen. This will serve two purposes. One, with the fermentation rear gate, I’ll be able to tilt back and separate earth and gravel.

Second, the screen will shorten the cutting edge making it better for leveling a large area.

Pinning tolerance for Bob Tach are off by 1/8 to a 1/4 at bottom receiver for depth. However I don’t recommend adjusting current production specs by more than a 1/16 which will still require field adjustments on my 863 but would only require a little grinding opposed to cutting.

Overall very sturdy construction.

Have used to level a milled asphalt driveway, a gravel driveway, and dirt. Shows zero signs of wear and works except. The cutting blades are thick. I thought surely I bent one when I snagged a large stone under the dirt, but nothing! Using attachment with a cat 262b.

Would recommend and would purchase again.
