Ski racks for garage are designed to store and protect your ski equipment. They come in a variety of sizes and styles to fit your specific needs. Most ski racks are made from durable materials such as steel or aluminum.
Some racks even come with features like lockable doors or compartments to keep your equipment safe and secure.

I just mounted it today, and I’m very impressed with the construction. I have twos pair of downhill skis, and AT pair, and four pairs of XC skis of sorts hanging on it. And about a half-dozen sets of poles.
That’s all great. What I’m still trying to figure out is efficiency. Skis without something holding the tails together don’t work (they come apart and the tips are tempted to slip through). Since it’s now off-season, I’ve just taped the tails together, but once the season gets buy I’ll need to get some velcro straps or some such, so I can do that quickly and efficiently (hanging up my skis is not suppose to be a ongoing labor of love).
Also, for both my skate skis, and my all mountain skis, I don’t have much of a tip upturn, and the skis seems to “hang low” in the rack. It’s almost like I should create some padding to make sure they don’t slip through.
I’ll probably work through these little details once the season starts, and the construction is excellent (it’s going to last 20 years, easily) but this posting is just to the effect some tweaking will be needed.
The box came beat up from UPS as usual. One end of the rack was through the box and exposed. 3 lag bolts were present, one of 3 washers missing from pierced ziploc bag. It needs to be packed a bit better than just thrown into a box if you’re going to use UPS to deliver your packages, they destroy everything they can.
I think it’s a badge of honor. It installed fine with the included hardware and one of my own washers. I was able to hang from the rods like the picture. It’s not going anywhere no matter what I hang on it.
— I loaded it up with 8 pairs of skis and 6 pairs of poles. Here’s my assessment on the skis: Alpine/downhill skis: work fine since they have beefy tips with steel edges. The tips don’t flex and so sit fine in between the rods.
light backcountry skis (Rossignol BC90): these wanted to slip down a bit more than I like and flex the tips too much. I have them strapped together with Ski Bones and so just set the Bones on top of the rods.
This works great. AT skis: I have some early rise tips one one pair and they want to not sit too well. They also don’t have much final bend. Right now they’re sitting on the straps instead of the tips.
nordic cross country skis: ski tips are far too flexible to work here. They will probably also need a pair of Ski Bones to sit on instead of relying on the tips to hold them. I didn’t put my snowboards on there.
I have Flow bindings on them and I think they may be too wide/tall to fit on there without interfering with the other adjacent skis. I may try though. — All this being said, I would expect most racks that have rods you put skis between to do the same thing as above, so modifications would be necessary either way.
I’m going to add 1/2″ ID vinyl tubing to the rods to narrow the gap and see what that does. But I suspect I’ll be buying more Ski Bones to help hold the load. They’re great anyway. I would say having the ability to load this many skis using so little wall space is worth any additional modification.
Purchased this rack as the floor stand up rack was not tidy enough for me with skis tilting (dogs kept running into the skis). I love this wall mounted version. Well made, easy to install, and looks good.
What more is there to say. 🙂 I want an arsenal of skis for myself and my teenage boys, so this is the rack for that! Very happy with this purchase. My skis are 191 and 193, and there was plenty of wall space.

Although one shelf and a hanger for the ski rack arrived bent due to shipping, we hung it anyway; notified Sore Your Board and they IMMEDIATELY sent replacement pieces, no questions asked. This system has TRANSFORMED our single garage.
It is holding 4 snowboards, 2 pair of cross country skis, 4 pair of downhill skis, 2 pair of large men’s ski boots, 1pair of large men’s snowboard boots, an extra pair of winter boots and assorted poles.
No more pulling into the garage and carefully squeezing out of the drivers side door and hitting my head on snowboards hung too low. This system is solid and the assembly video was very helpful.
I’m very happy with the new ski rack and shelf. I rated it excellent but want to point out that the screws securing the shelf are not recessed. That means that every time you slide a bag or box on and off the shelf, fabric or cardboard hangs up on the screws.
It would be a simple manufacturing fix to indent the area where the screwheads will be. Other than that I love the product and thank you.
We just put this rack into service, and we love it! The install was simple, and the design and construction are terrific. The shelf ends up being pretty high, so not super easy to access regularly. One improvement I’d suggest would be to add hooks hanging from the side of the shelf so you can hang helmets, coats etc.
Made by the leaders in action sports storage, StoreYourBoard, this rack will store up to three pairs of skis on the wall – Great way to Organize the house. Simple, effective design to store, organize, and display all your skis.
The rack is very strong but also lightweight because it is made from ABS plastic. Rack is easily stackable to hold 6, 9,or 12 boards. This comes with well written and diagramed instruction to make sure you mount the rack properly.
Rack can be easily painted or spray painted to match room dcor. Rack can also be used to store ski poles or other board likes snowboards and skateboards. Some newer skis have larger, thicker bindings.
You might not be able to fit 3 pairs of these on the rack. In this case it would be better to store a pair of skis on the top level and a pair of skis on the bottom level and then poles and/or other boards in the center slot.
Great for the garage, closet, hallway, mud room, child’s room, or ANYWHERE! Rack comes as two arms that can be spaced to accommodate your skis. Hardware for installation is included. Rack Dimensions Length =16.
5″ Each rung of the rack is 6. 5″ long to hold your board – Will hold most boards under 12″ wide.
I’m so glad I found the Trifecta rack. I have a small space with not a lot of floor storage so I am always excited when I find something I can mount on the wall. This rack fits my needs perfectly. I have two pairs of skis so they fit on this rack along with my helmet, poles, and gloves.
I am giving it 4 stars because it would be hard to put 3 pairs of skis on this rack. I could do it, but when I put my two pairs on adjacent shelves, the binding of the top skis were coming into contact with the top sheet of the skis on the lower rack.
Probably not a big deal but since I only have two pairs of skis I decided to put them on the upper and lower rack and leave the middle rack for poles. It was super easy to install. I opted to install at 48″ (3 studs wide) to mount to studs and also to ensure enough space to stagger my bindings (more important if you plan on storing 3 pairs of skis on the rack).
I would definitely buy this rack again and will look to storeyourboard for my future storage needs as well.

Have a family of five that all ski so I needed a better storage solution for the garage. Installed two of these racks in about 20 minutes. Used a drill to make pilot holes and a level to make sure the racks were level.
Could have used another person to make the install easier but was able to install alone. I now have three skateboards, six pairs of skis, and six pairs of poles on the rack with room to spare.
Hang up to 16 pairs of racing, powder, downhill, twin tip, cross country, or all mountain skis for indoor space-efficient storage. Solid metal prongs hold your skis by the tips for easy vertical storage.

Great price for this storage rack. It was pretty easy to install but make sure you have a stud finder and level. My only issue is that I wish the arms were longer. We have to balance the kneeboard and wakeboard just right to stay on the rack because the width is not quite wide enough.
It’s made of cheap, thin plastic. The mounting holes hardly allow you to get any kind of screw driver/drill in there to mount it as well. It should be priced a lot cheaper than it is. It probably cost them very little to manufacture it.
Cool idea, but if you want to save money and get a better set up, look for brackets/hooks in home improvement and make your own rack.
My boyfriend and i do alot of outdood things. Like skiing and kyaking. We just moved and we didnt have a lot of room for are paddles and skis so i bought this rack as a going back to collage gift and he is in love.
We usex to put all are things behind the door but they kept falling over. This is the best thing ever. Light but can hold alot.
The StoreYourBoard Hi-Port 2 Ski & Snowboard Ceiling Rack is a space-efficient storage solution to organize all your Winter sports gear against the ceiling. It’s adjustable frame allows you to organize racing skis, powder skis, all mountain skis, slalom skis, XC skis, twin tip skis, and snowboards all on one rack.
It’s heavy-duty metal frame supports up to 75 lbs on each side, 150 lbs total! Padded support arms gently hold your gear in place and prevent scratching.
Excellent product!! High quality build and better than advertised. I dropped it down a few notches to accommodate six snowboards, a pair of cross country skis and three totes worth of boots, winter clothes and tuning gear.
We bought this rack to store skis and snowboards overhead so we could take back valuable wall space in the garage, and this rack delivered. Once you’ve figured out where your ceiling joists are (this was difficult in our case because our garage is weird, I guess), the process is super easy.
The rack feels super sturdy, and we’ve got 3 snowboards and a pair of skis up there with plenty of room for more. Once we add more boards to our quiver it should be easy to store them base to base to maximize the storage capacity.
I love the fact that the rack is height adjustable, and that you can mount it parallel or perpendicular to your ceiling joists. These two things are by far the biggest selling point and it makes the rack super versatile.
It would be tough to find a garage in which this rack wouldn’t work.
Big fan! I would definitely recommend buying the Hi-Port 2. The Hi-Port 2 is everything I hoped for – easy, durable and effective! Well-designed. Very strong materials, with the protective wrap around the storage bars themselves to protect your gear during the routine storage/removal processes.
The hardest part of the mounting was finding the studs in the garage ceiling. But, in less than 30 minutes from opening the Hi-Port 2 package, all my family’s snowboards and skis were off the ground and safely stored along my garage ceiling.
This wall mounted ski rack holds 6 pairs of skis and poles securely and makes organizing skis simple and efficient. The ski rack is made of powder coated industrial steel and accommodates skis of all sizes.
The ski rack mounts in just 15 minutes and can be installed in a garage, shed, shop, closet, basement, or retail shop. The Hooks snap tightly to the Monkey Bar and slide along the Monkey Bar, making it extremely versatile.
The Hooks have a polyurethane cover to protect skis while on the ski rack. Features: Ski rack. Material: Industrial steel. Hooks are plastic coated. Capable of hanging up to six pair of skis and poles.
Rated at 200 lbs. Kit Includes: 2 small brackets, 4 screws and washers, 1 monkey bar, 6-6′ narrow hooks, installation instructions.
I would give this a higher rating if the ski brackets mounted more permanently. As others have mentioned, when you go to lift your skis off of the rack the bracket often pops off the bar. I will drill and screw the brackets into place so they don’t pop off.
Right now one hand holds the bracket and the other lifts the skis. Not a big deal but a poor design. Installation was simply.
Very good design, quality and easy to install and use. Like the feature of each ski rack bar holder will hold both standard width skis and poles on same holder. Well made and quality materials and finish.
Only negative ( not a big one though) is that when you remove skis, be careful when lifting off, as they can cause the holder to come off the wall rack when at an upward angle. I would rate the rack as 99% out of 100%.
WFX Utility Ski and pole storage organization in one wall mounted rack! Skis are not small pieces of gear, they take up a lot of space and can get damaged easily if stored improperly. This rack is versatile so you can store all types of skis and poles.
It’s wide enough to get your whole family’s skis off the ground!.

The product arrived on time as advertised. I put it together with minimal tools in about 15 minutes exactly as advertised. The problem with this rack is that the individual mounting brackets come off easily when unracking your skis.
They come off with the ski at least half the time. If you ski on anything longer than ice skates this is a problem. You’ll be reaching to latch them over and over again. I’ll solve this problem by drilling out the mounting brackets and fastening them in place with screws or a small cotter key.

Really like the rubber surfaced/angled supports. They don’t line up really straight and are a bit floppy from side to side. One was quite bent from shipping but straightened out ok. Once weight is put on the racks they do firm up, but they are still visually a bit wonky.
Totally handled the problem of many skis taking up floor space. Intend to use the lower brackets to horizontally support my golf bag for the winter – may have to lay a lightweight piece of plywood or something for it rest on.
I would probably buy them again, but might consider a vertical solution instead. I like straight things to be straight :-).
The rack works well to store 8 pairs of skis. The arms do not fit tightly into the slots so they will wobble if there are not any skis on them. However, they appear to be stable. There is room to add another row of rack arms but there does not appear to be an option for that.
I’m happy about the capacity and flexibility of this rack to hold your skis. I’d like another set of brackets if not 2, and it would be nice if the brackets locked in a bit better, otherwise I would’ve given it 5 stars.

First off, this is a very nice ski rack and looks really cool in my bedroom. It’s definitely high quality and sturdy. I gave it four stars instead of five for two reasons: one, the item description said a one slot rack was 12″ but mine was only 7″.
That’s not a huge deal but I had planned the space on the wall for 12″ so had to do some rearranging before I could hang it to accommodate. The 7″ looks fine, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Also, the holes for the screws were only partially drilled–the back was solid wood which made mounting very difficult.
I ended up taking a nail and hammering through to at least get holes all the way though and that was awkward to hold and not hurt myself. It would have been 1000 times easier to mount had the holes gone all the way though to begin with.
We Love the looks of this wall mount ski rack. It is sure to hold up for years. The only reason we are giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is because the mounting holes (Predrilled) are not made to match up w/ the stud distance.
Space-efficient storage for ski shops, resorts, and condos This ski storage rack is made from polycarbonate which means it is very durable and will withstand years of use. Have wet, snowy skis? No problem.
It is 100% waterproof so it will never rust, rot, or warp. This is critical for rental shops or ski schools where you are constantly storing skis packed with snow. Back-to-back storage racks linked on one track system means you can store plenty of skis within a small floor space.
Get all you skis off the floor and neatly organized in these space efficient storage racks! Quick, easy assembly – No tools required! The rack is arrives out of the box ready to go. Just slide in the support legs, and load up your skis! How does the rack work with my skis? This rack is simple to use – The base has individual slots for each ski to provide stabilization.
By inserting your skis back-to-back or strapped together with our popular Mountain Essential Ski Wrap Straps, each pair of skis straddle the center divider to give plenty of stabilization. Looking for a place to put your poles? You can put the straps over the tips of your skis and this rack will hold your poles as well! What types of skis does it fit? Standard Version – Holds 5 skis up to 115 mm wide each Great for racing, twin tip, all mountain, and youth skis Wide Version – Holds 4 skis up to 140 mm wide each Great for powder, back country, or wider skis Note: the standard and wide versions of these stands are different widths, so cannot be combined together on one set of legs.
Only multiple stands of the same type (Standard or Wide) can be combined on the legs. What is the rack made of? A very durable, sturdy polycarbonate (heavy duty plastic) so it will withstand years of use yet is light and portable so you can move it anywhere you want.
You also don’t have to worry about it warping or shrinking like wood racks. Its vertical design is perfect so that after your ski session as snow melts off your skis and bindings it drips right out the bottom of the rack.
Single Standard Rack: 27″ wide x 11. 5″ tall x 5. 25 deep (ski holder itself) x 15″ support leg length/depth Standard ski slot: 4. 5″ (115mm) x 2″ Single Wide Rack: 25. 5″ wide x 12″ tall x 5. 25″ deep (ski holder itself) x 15″ support leg length/depth Wide ski slot: 5.
5″ (140mm) x 2. 25″ Support leg depth for combining one or more one or more stands: 15″ (1-2 rows) 32″ (3-4 rows) Ski slot depth: 11″ Weight: 9 lbs per stand.
The racks arrived, and are so easy to put together, but I wish the two racks hooked together better. When I put the bars in the bottom for stability it seems as if you can’t put the racks very close together because the legs/support bars are in the way.
Maybe I just don’t know how to put it all together. Otherwise fabulous. Wish they had ones with smaller sections for cross country skis.
Very well made product that is as advertised. All you need to do is insert 2 leg pieces in the bottom of the stand. Solves all storage problems for ski storage. Superb customer service by Carli to help determine which size to purchase.
Excellent product. So easy to assemble. Purchased two stands to store the family’s skis. Will be purchasing another stand to add onto the others. Very well made and saves so much space.
EASY, PORTABLE SKI STORAGE no installation or mounting required = no holes in your walls – WIDE SIZE FITS 4 pairs of skis with tails up to 140mm – STANDARD SIZE FITS 5 pairs of skis tails up to 115mm – HEAVY DUTY DESIGN molded, rigid plastic is strong to support your skis; great for families, ski teams, lodges, and more – Size Wide Skis.
There is equal good and bad, but the bad one is important, and that is: it is NOT free standing. it needs a wall for your skis to lean on or the whole thing dumps over. We even attached 2 racks on the same feet to see if that would help stability.
It does help, but they still need a wall. We also don’t like the center divider as it seems to just get in the way. We tried to see if there was a way to remove it, but to no avail. In our opinion, it serves no purpose.
Here is the good thing (and ultimately the reason we are keeping them): Cost. This is a very reasonably priced item. The better and more attractive wooden ones out there are hundreds of dollars. Also, this is light and can easily be moved around.
Doable Suggestion: How cool would it be if you could boast that the plastic used to make this is 100% (or as close as you can get) recycled!! Please consider this. I would parade this product all around if that was the case.
Finally, my skis have a home when they’re not on the mountain. Super easy to put together and the wide ski rack holds my powder skis just fine. We were searching for a turnkey rack we can immediately put up without any drilling into the wall.
Wish we found this years ago. It’s awesome! We have the snowboard rack too which is just as awesome.
Hi. This is my third purchase. I really like them but have a few improvement ideas. WE are a ski racing family and have a ton of skis. They are always wrapped in straps to protect the edges. It is difficult to squeeze the skis into the slots with the straps.
Also, I purchased my last one to add to my existing rack so that I have a front and a back row. They are sharing the same feet. This allows for front and back storage taking up less space. Maybe that is something you could come up with? Overall I really like the product.

All you need to get your rack mounted on your wall is a screw driver. The screw holes are deep enough that you won’t even notice the screw once your snowboard rack is mounted on the wall.
Love love love our board rack. Was easy to install once I found my stud finder. The wood is untreated so if we choose to we can paint or stain later. My only complaint is there is some sap coming out of the back of one of the pieces of wood.
Doesn’t impact functionality as the wood isn’t cracked, but was annoying to deal with sticky hands/walls. Overall a great solution as we have way better use of the space in our apartment now that they aren’t leaning against the wall.
The item was delivered with only two predrilled holes, but with four screws. The description and photos both indicate that there should be four predrilled holes. It’s not a complicated fix, but it’s frustrating to have to correct the product, or to alternatively go through the process of shipping it back.
Easy install. 5 minutes max. Power drill, drill bit, Phillips head attachment screw driver bit. I used tacs and string to line everything up, marked my holes, drilled out slightly smaller than screw size.

We have way too many boards and I was able to store snowboards, skis, paddle and surf boards, along with skim and wake boards using 2 of these systems in combination. Very versatile. Installation was easy but I do suggest a power drill.
Not keen on the white finish, hence one less star but it is at least just in the garage.
Quick and easy install. Half he price of anything even similar at Lowes or Home Depot, I looked. They can hold about anything. Only issue I had was when mounting the brackets over the screw that anchor the vertical rails into the wall, I had to use a hammer and tap them on.
If the designers could counter sink those holes even 1/16th to 1/32nd of an inch it would the perfect. I bought 2 extra brackets and they just fit with only a hole or 2 option for adjustment. So I had to tap in 4 of the 10 brackets because they were over a screw.
But still the best product I have found. See picture bracket over screw, little of the paint rubbed off.
This rack has the best combination of features I’ve seen for a kiteboard rack: adjustable brackets, angled brackets secure and display your boards, and the silicone pads protect your boards. Installation was pretty easy despite the quality issues cited below.
One wall track was poorly manufactured causing the brackets to want to lean about 10 degrees to the side. One storage bracket was bent making it hard to install. Some storage brackets want to install leaning off to the side about 10 or 15 degrees.
The silicone pads should be more secure on the brackets.

There are a few things to consider when purchasing ski racks for your garage. First, you need to decide how many pairs of skis you want to be able to store. If you only ski occasionally, then a small rack might suffice.
However, if you ski frequently or have a large family, then you might need a larger rack.
Second, you need to think about where you will place the rack in your garage. If you have a lot of other gear stored in your garage, then you might want to purchase a wall-mounted ski rack. This will free up floor space and keep your skis out of the way.
Third, you need to decide what type of ski rack you want. There are both horizontal and vertical racks available. Horizontal racks are great for storing multiple pairs of skis, but they can take up a lot of space.
Vertical racks are more compact and can be a good option if you have limited space.
Finally, you need to consider your budget. Ski racks can range in price from around $20 to $200. If you are only an occasional skier, then you might not need to spend a lot of money on a ski rack. However, if you ski frequently or have a large family, then you might want to invest in a higher-quality rack.
In conclusion, there are a few things to consider when purchasing ski racks for your garage. First, you need to decide how many pairs of skis you want to be able to store. Second, you need to think about where you will place the rack in your garage.
