20 Best Skates For Wide Feet (2023 Updated)

I bought this last March during one of the covid lockdowns, which meant I couldn’t go into the store to find the right size. The skates were pre-sharpened (which seemed like a nice gesture, until I couldn’t return them).

The skates were a little small but I decided to push through. The first few times skating this these were very uncomfortable (which I expected until I wore them in), but after 10+ times they were just as uncomfortable.

After my first skate this year, I decided I couldn’t take it anymore. I looked up some reviews and realized that I’m in the same boat as many here – I ordered the 200 model and received the 1500 model instead.

As I can’t return the skates at this point, I will be donating them and hopefully someone with the right size feet can enjoy them. Very disappointed all around.

These are an excellent starting skate for beginner skaters. They were recommended by my daughter’s skate teacher and confirmed by the internet. There is a learning curve when breaking them in, as the toepick seems a little lower than the rental skates my daughter used to use.

But once she got past that, she did very well. THE SIZES ARE NOT THE SAME AS STREET SHOES. Be sure to look at the measurements Jackson website and measure the feet- they have instructions. In most cases you will be sizing 1 size down since skates run big.

So if you’re a 9 in street shoes, you will order an 8 in ice skates. Measure to be sure.

Hi, I was on the reviews and chose another brand for a cheaper price. The reviews had mentioned the size was too big so I followed the reviews and got duped. The pair I ordered was too small. This was my second pair that I ordered.

I was so scared that the sizing would be off. It looked small but THANK GOD it fit perfectly. I LOVE THESE SKATES. I do agree though that the skates you get are not what is advertised in the picture.

The skates do not have any fleece lining. Nonetheless, the skates are great and I have had no issue using them.

I bought these about a month ago as I’m taking skate classes for adults and was progressing quickly. Was tired of the horrible rental skates I was having to use so bought these. When I got them they looked fantastic, they fit reasonably well and overall I was excited to try them out.

When I got to the class I could barely skate on them. Was feeling like I was going to fall over and couldn’t figure out what was going on. So I went through the entire class and was unable to do anything that I had done the previous week(s) like one skate glides etc.

and I was just baffled and frustrated. When I took the skates off I could see that the left skate blade was leaning in and the back part was leaning out. On the right skate I could take my hand and physically move the blade slightly when wiggling it back and forth.

So basically I was skating on blades that were either not true to vertical or were flexing when skating on them. Went back the next week and used the terrible skate rentals and was able to pass off all of my new techniques.

I bought these so I could go skating on the weekends or after work. The first run out they felt great with some comfy, not too thick socks. I did need to get them sharpened before going on the ice. Great causal skates that didn’t take long to break in.

Purchased at recommendation of friend and because my feet can’t tolerate regular hockey skates. These things are amazing. Comfortable, very adjustable, and virtually no foot pain. While providing a lot of lateral support, allow a lot of forward flexing, which is good for me as I have trouble properly bending my knees.

Only potential downside it the relatively fragile strings in the tightening system and fact you have to adjust them every time you put skates on. I can see these wearing out or getting cut by skate edge.

Beefier string cable would be good. Otherwise very happy.

These skates were impossible to find but was able to find them at sunny sports. They’re amazing skates and provide a lot more ankle support than hockey skates. They also fit to size so they fit perfect for me.

True to size I wear a size 9.5 shoe ordered 9.5 skates and fit perfect. Very comfortable and took no time at all to get use to the fit. Very easy to tighten and adjust.

I’m afraid the blade of my right shoe is slanted, by which I mean I can feel more outside edge when standing on the ice. I let my friend to try on my shoes without telling which side is the one I felt wrong.

She also found this issue immediately. I think I will change a new pair. But the shoes are comfortable other than that.

(Wayne’s WIFE) Wish I had these when I was a teen. Had no idea how much of a difference it makes to have support in the ankles of skates. I am 43yrs old and, other than a couple yrs ago where I tried skating in cheap skates for 5 min and cried in pain from my feet hurting, I have not skated for 20 yrs.

Well I put these on a few days ago for a family skate and I skated for over 30 min. Being 287 lbs at 5’7″ this was an amazing accomplishment – and I didn’t fall once. I am hoping this will be a great help in my weight loss journey.

Very sturdily constructed, great ankle support, and the blades are sharp af out of the box. Very happy with my purchase. It even looks better in person than in the photos.

Nice figure skating boots. My daughter is just a beginner so can’t say if it will hold to more advanced use but overall quite happy with it.

This is a comfortable and sturdy pair of skates. It took about 12 hours (12 sessions) to break them in properly (they are a bit sturdy at first). They are great if you are learning to skate, going backwards, practicing 3-foot turns, some basic spinning, and even some basic beginners’s jumps (bunny hops).

Make sure you learn how to lace up online, so the boot fits you well but dont hurt you. I bought a new set of laces from canadian tire, just because the cotton ones that came were not giving me the necessary grip (I have thin feet and need to really tug on the laces).

I also had them sharpened at a professional shop (it is worth the cost, if you need good edges).

I hadn’t skated in 10 years and I decided to buy these skates. They were comfortable. I went skating and broke them in and they are great! I’m very happy with this purchase. I have wide feet so I was worried that figure skates wouldn’t fit and I’d have to buy hockey skates.

Even with a thick pair of socks these skates are comfortable. I love the vintage look as well.

I bought these skates for my daughter who started figure skating lessons about a month prior. I did take them to be sharpened after I received them also requested heat molding to break them in faster.

My daughter loves her skates! She skates very well in them. And Dicks sells them at a great price with coupons! My initial order was too big. I called and Dicks exchanged them easily for me. I ended up getting the same size shoe that my daughter normally wears.

Arrived just too late to really try out. Unfortunately. But ofcourse I tried them on. Nice wide for my wide feet and high “instep”. Was a bit scared it wouldnt be, but way enough space. Bought 2 sizes up, could have done with 1 size up instead, but they fit, much space for thick socks and they keep my ankles firm in place! Absolutely a fantastic skate and hopefully there will be ice again next winter.

Otherwise to a rink it is, when they open again!.

Good skates. Good quality for good money. Warm. Leg is stable in them. Will Fit better for wide leg. I took 2 mm longer than my leg and they Fit nearly perfekt.

These are my kids first skates so we can only compare them to the ones they borrowed from school. The skates seems to be working good for them, no faults whatsoever.

Just got these skates yesterday, These are one sharp looking pair of skates. There was no opportunity to bake them because of covid and I really couldn’t make myself put them in the house oven. I put the skates on the stonework in front of the wood stove where they slowly warmed up for about 45 minutes.

The skates the went straight onto my feet for about 2 hours they tightened up nicely and I just sat around doing things. Today I took them out for about an hour long skate, WOW smoothest skates ever for me absolutely no sore feet or blisters and in just a few minutes I was going full out.

How long will they last only time will tell, but I have never had a problem with CCM products before, so I am not anticipating any problems. I hesitated before I bought because I live in Ontario and the skates were coming from B.

C. wish I had just ordered them right away the skates are awesome and so was the delivery time and communication from The Hockey shop I would order from them again for my equipment needs.

Very comfortable skate. Inside is better than most skates ive had from other manufacturers for inline. I play a lot of competitive roller and ice hockey. Roller 3 times a week. As far as Skate pro. Everything went smooth sales transaction, and shipping over seas! Got here exactly when & no delays.

Bought for my Daughter, they fit true to size and will adjust as she grows. They are solid, comfortable and she could skate better in them than the previous cheapo kid skates we had.

These skates are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I’ve been skating for over 20 years. I played select/travel growing up, played college and am now enjoying beer league. The construction of these skates is top notch.

It felt like a sneaker on my foot. I think they’re the most visually appealing skates Bauer has made in the last few years. I did ultimately exchange them for hyperlites, but only because I vapors suit my skating style more.

If you are a bigger skater, in either height or weight, and have a really strong stride where you use mostly the middle of your foot or heel of your foot to push off and use your hamstrings and tops of your quads to generate power, these will be your favorite skates.

They really thrive with a much bigger and stronger leg than I have. The edges are crisp and stable. No problem changing direction or stopping at all. I don’t really agree with the assessment that these aren’t an agility skate, you just have to have a much more strong, powerful skating stride than I have to be able to change direction quickly.

If you’re someone that uses more of the toe or ball of your foot for control and like a little more stiffness in the front of the skate than the heel, the hyperlites will suit you better. I loved these, they just didn’t work out mechanically for me.

I’ve been using these skates for a little over a year now (4 days a week – 2 in games and 2 coaching) and I am neither impressed nor disappointed in the skates. I can honestly just say that they aren’t the right skates for me.

The good: – Break in was super fast and the skates are very comfortable (love the new fit system). – The coating on the steel does seem to really make a difference, I definitely feel faster on the ice.

– The flexible tendon guards noticeably help with long strides. – The quality of the skate is top notch! Over a year of usage and they are holding up fantastically well. The bad: – They feel heavy… almost clunky when I’m on the ice.

– The steel seems soft and/or fragile. It knicks and dulls incredibly easy. It seems like after every game, I have an issues with the steel. – Turns are not fluid in these skates. I seem to have a “skipping” issue when making sharp/quick turns at higher speeds.

The skate seems to lose edge and skip across the ice. I’ve tried everything to correct this but it happens just about every game. – I left the skates in my bag for about a week while I was on vacation and they (unsurprisingly) picked up an odor, however, I now can’t get rid of it.

I’ve washed them inside and out and they still just smell kinda gross… not sure why the smell is sticking like glue to them. The skates themselves are good and the quality is great but I will be switching to another skate.

I find myself actually having to think about my skates while I’m in game and how off they feel… I’ve never had that with any other skates before. While I can 100% vouch for the quality, I just can’t use them anymore.

They are nice skates, I originally tried vapors but the weird lace hole pattern on the inside of the ankle is not good for people with big ankles so I ended up with supremes after trying vapors. The guy that fit me said per the scan I was a size 10 fit1, I’m actually a 9.

5 potentially a 9 but that might be just a little too small. Either way that scan gets you close but it’s not always right, more for show than anything. Honestly the shoe size conversion bauer has on their site is more accurate.

Be aware these skate will pack out so they may feel good when you first put them on but they will pack out after heating and skating. My advice is you want your toes to be brushing the end cap and for the skates to be a little uncomfortable at first.

Either way the guys fitting skates at pure hockey could have done a better job but in the end after finding the correct size myself using bauers chart I am happy with these skates. I am coming off bauer 7000 size 10.

5 D so probably size down a whole size if you have older bauers. Also the only difference between vapors and supremes is the insteep and the lace holes on the inside of the vapors being set back making them not good for bigger ankles.

The toe caps are identical.

My first time getting a pair of skates. I’m a size 10 and they fit true to size for me. They are really comfortable and great as a first pair of skates. They make such a difference to a pair of skates you’d hire at a rink.

These are really easy to control, nice and light. Really pleased. I also had a great experience with the customer service, I had queries answered straight away and the postage was really quick.

These Bauer X-LP hockey skates are very comfortable, very good quality for low price and wide enough for comfort. These are great beginner hockey skates and would highly recommend! Needed skates for Open Skate and rentals are so uncomfortable.

I could wear couple these Bauer skates for couple hours without any problems. Am very happy with my purchase.

I’m very pleased with these as a first pair of skates for my adult-sized 12-year-old. Assembly quality is good and there’s plenty of interior and tongue padding. The outer shell is plastic all around, but they look cool nonetheless.

These skates look and feel much nicer than the entry-level CCMs I nearly bought him from the big box store. Top-notch customer service from Pure Hockey.

I bought these skates about 2 weeks ago. I was in the CCM 68 K Ribcore model for about six years and found them to be a terrific leap ahead to the leather Grafs models I had been skating in for the past Twenty years.

The 80Ks are now a leap ahead of the 68 Ks. At first I had a concern that the right skate had been coming loose. I went with wax laces-nope still coming loose. I took the foot beds out to dry them and found that the custom foot arch was in place under the right footbed and not the left.

So the removal of the arch support solved the issue as I am very flat footed. ( this allowed my right foot to sink further into the skate locking the heel down better )The ankle padding on these skates were a big selling to me as I have had a lot of clappers to the ankles.

O. K. having said that, I find that there is an excellent transfer of power from skate to ice through the entire skating stride. I have toe-picked at least once taking-off from a stand still, as I had to get use to having so much blade again.

( might have to get these puppies profiled ) Agility-in spades as these skates have the right combination of forward flex and stiffness. I have wanted these skates for about three years and have found them to meet all my expectations and worth the wait.

Bought these skates for my daughter who has outgrown the expandable skates that you always buy for little kids. She didn’t want figure skates, so this was the choice. They are definitely stiff at the beginning, but then they tend to soften up with use and mould to the shape of her feet.

Tying the laces is the hardest part at first as the boot is stiff and you almost need 3 hands to squeeze the boot so it’s tight on the foot and then the other 2 to pull the lace. These are much better than the hard plastic style of skates which never seem to soften up or mould to the foot.

The build and quality of the skate is good. We’ll see how they hold up for the time that they fit as kids do keep growing and outgrowing everything they wear. But I imagine that they’ll be outgrown long before they could ever wear out.

Better but if they’re on sale especially if you have to buy new ones every year or so due to growth.

I went to pro hockey life to purchase hockey skates for my son after being fitted on the electronic fitting machine we were told size 7, they did not have size 7 in the store so we were instructed to order them but they will be in and it in two days so I ordered them online before I left the store feeling confident I will get them before he needed them the following Wednesday.

I must let you know that I waited over 45 minutes to be served that day and being overlooked and many male customers were service before me. I did bring this to the attention of management at a later date.

A day later I got the email indicating the skates would not be in for 4 more days which was not what I was told. Feeling frantic I went online and found a size 7 at Sportchek So my son and I went to sport check to try on the seven skates the gentleman told us that was not his size and they were way too small he would need a 7.

So I am in the store and they only have a size 7 and now I need a 7. 5, the gentleman was very accommodating and found another brand of skate that my son liked equally that they had an a 7. 5, he took the time to fit my son and went above and beyond and gave me the skates for the same price as the other one.

I guess my advice or ask would be to a work on customer service skills with your team and also make it right for the not so perfect service that you delivers to me on that day.

Living far from a pro shop, I bought two pair of skates over the internet and both were unsatisfactory. So first thing, get yourself to a real pro shop and get scanned. I had been skating in EE skates or D width for years to alleviate pain from my right little toe getting squished.

I got scanned at Pure Hockey in San Jose and discovered my width was really a C. I had Easton skates for years and wanted a lighter, high performance skate. I was fitted into a Bauer 3X, size 6 Fit1, baked, and they punched out that toe area for me.

This made all the difference in the world. Now I have to get rid of the D and regular width CCM skates that I had previously purchased over the internet and was wearing with thick socks. not a good solution to one trouble spot.

One factor to be aware with these Bauer 3X skates is that there is a carbon insert in the tongue so you will not be able to wear them outside your shin pads like I always did. However, unlike my CCM RibCors, which have a humongous tongue, the tongue on these Bauers can go under your shin pad and you won’t even notice i.

e. it won’t feel like it’s hanging up and impeding your mobility.

I purchased these skates to go skating occasionally on public indoor and outdoor rinks. They are very light and warm, which makes them easy to carry and comfortable to use outdoors on cold days. They are significantly lighter than my girlfriend’s figure skates.

I walked half a mile to a city rink with them in a backpack, skated for an hour, and walked back without feeling fatigued. The blades are centered on the foot so that my ankles don’t bend in or out, and the skates come sharpened out of the box so you can take them on the ice right away.

One thing to note: I researched Bauer skate sizing before purchasing and I am glad that I did, as it is recommended to get 1 to 1. 5 sizes down from your normal shoe size. I wear size 9 shoes so I purchased these in size 8, and they fit me well to slightly loose.

One thing I dislike is that it is hard to tie the laces to be tight around the upper ankle due to the shape of the plastic exterior, so they don’t hold on to my ankles as tightly as I would like. Also, the material feels a little on the cheap side.

If I were concerned about performance and durability, I would probably want better skates, but as I am only a casual skater they fit my needs without having a big price tag.

I looked for 2 years for skates for my 12 and 13 year old grandsons as they had outgrown children’s sizes. These were the only ones affordable. Adult Skates are SO expensive. So far these skates have been amazing.

So much so that my daughter in law borrowed her sons and is asking for a pair. I ordered them right before Christmas 2021 and they were delivered to Alaska in under a week in time to be under the Christmas tree.

I echo the other review of these skates that the Women’s sizing seems a little off. I’m a women’s 8 in Rollerblades, W 8. 5 running shoes, 7 (Men’s) indoor soccer shoes. and yet the W8 in these skates seems at tad big.

It was close enough that I added an orthotic insert and swapped out some longer hockey laces to make them work, but had trying them on locally been an option, I would have been curious to see how the W7 fit.

As the other reviewer mentioned, the EURO size seems to be the most accurate. (I have some W8 / EURO 40 cycling shoes. these are listed as a EURO 41. ) Try them on if you can.

Took baking them and a few skates in these to really break them in. Felt a bit narrow on my left foot at first, but after a second bake, where I tightened the laces a bit more in the molding process and a few extra uses, they were golden.

I think these are essentially the FT2’s (previous top of the line model) with a few upgrades. Thus, these are really good value. Just a hair heavier than the pros and a touch more forgiving/softer, while still maintaining high performance stiffness.

For comparison the stiffness performance index for the FT4 is 180, for the FT4 pro it is 195, for the AS3 it is 190 (?), for the AS3 pro it is 215 and for the 100K it is 175-185. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars, not 5 is that the tongue didn’t offer much of lace bite protection.

I ended up having to upgrade the tongue. Same thickness XS tongue, but with better lace bite protection. It’s a pity because I like the shape and fit of the original ones better. Just not enough lace bite protection.

I know it’s something easily remedied given the new XS tongue system, but at this price point I didn’t expect to have to spend more money on a tongue.

I have skated many years on the CCM Super Tacks but they were not in stock and I was in desperate need of new skates. As it turns out these were a good fit for me and I experienced very little discomfort during the break in period.

I was told these were the closest fit to the Super tacks I’ve used for years and I have to agree. I feel a little like I am more on my toes with these then the previous super tacks but that could just be me or the sharpening of the new skates.

I’ve since gotten use to it and have no issues at all. I would highly recommend these Skates. I am a senior hockey player at 62 years of age and been skating since I was 9. These are a great bang for your buck, good quality and comfortable skates.

I gave the 4 stars not 5 only because I am a huge Super tacks fan other wise I have no complaints with these skates. Also customer service was very professional and helpful during the purchase I was over all very pleased.

As these skates are a generation old now, make sure you buy them on sale. Great performing skates at a fraction of the price. My foot is regular in shape but had to step up to EE width for these narrow fitting skates.

My only knock on the FT490’s is the lame 2mm piece of foam they call an insole. It’s really just to protect your foot from the rivets. It has zero arch support. The top of the line FT2’s come with much nicer Ortholite footbeds.

You’ll probably want to look into the aftermarket for nicer footbeds for more comfort. Some people say the stock CCM steel is not great. Haven’t had much time on them yet, but so far it’s been okay. Will upgrade to Step Steel later, which is an easy upgrade.

Pros: look good & feel comfortable. Cons: soft wheels wear quickly on pavement & laces seem cheap. With ice rinks closed due to the global bummer, I needed a way to keep the power in my legs. The price range out there is as wide as Gordie Howe’s tooth gap.

I bought near the low end of the price range because 1) I’m a skateboarder so I wasn’t sure how much I’d use them and 2) my parents always bought me cheap stuff, which tended to work perfectly fine. Low & behold, my logic got me exactly what I wanted and without breaking the bank.

They look good and they’re comfortable. I’ve used them at least once everyday for the last month. I do have two complaints, but they’re minor: 1) the wheels are soft because they’re made for indoor courts, so they’re wearing away quickly.

After two days of use and about five or ten miles, the back wheel on each skate was significantly worn. Since then, the wheels don’t seem to have worn much further. But, when I bought the skates, I planned on buying harder wheels anyways if I ended up liking the skates.

2) The laces seem cheap. I feel like they won’t last the summer. Today when I was unlacing, I saw dust, like they are slowly disintegrating. Easy fix. Might get some waxed ones.

Out of the box and one skate on an outdoor court, they were in my son’s estimation good! We go to an inline tournament in Richmond and he can’t skate like I know he can and he keeps falling. Apparently the tongue pad and laces were creating very bad shin pain.

He is used to skating with FT2’s and we think that the type of boot on the Tour when asked to go hard was not the answer. 2 different boots and therefore we found out the hard way that he couldn’t skate with them.

Very disappointed but we tried them on and skated light but when asked to push the skate too much pain in shin. A very odd thing and maybe not the boots fault as much as we have to stay in a CCM OR BAUER boot.

Baked my skates and took them for a spin on the outdoor sports court I play on, very comfortable no issues with comfort. After several adult pick up games, and a few adult league play games. The skates are out performing my expectations.

As a adult, my game is aggressive and the skate are taking that to the edge. Really Impressed with the performance. If you can’t decide on a skate. this would be a good option, without breaking the bank.

I tried a slightly cheaper, different brand, about 6 months back and was disappointed. These skates filled the bill.

The skates so far have been amazing. Very quick break in period, very responsive skate with amazing steel. All the staff at the store was extremely patient with me. I have been skating for over 15 years so finding the right boot takes me a lot of time.

Only 4 stars because the SPARX was used for sharpening. I did not have a cross grind and it was a very quick sharpening. Was all over the ice day one and had to have them resharpened. Blade master confirmed the first sharpening was sub par for new skates.

Otherwise amazing process. Those who sharpened were not the ones who had me fitted and helped me find the boot. Everything on that end was good.

Having had a large failure in my custom fit APX2 Pros, I stepped into what is supposed to be the new and improved version. Seeing the construction, they definitely made adjustments to better the points of failure my APX2s suffered.

The toe cap has rivets to secure to the sides of the boot, my APX2s blew out at that same point due to the threads failing. My only true concern is the differences between my old sizing and the new “Fit System”.

I did not go with customs, this is because the only thing my APX2s had custom was the left skate was an 11. 25, not 11. 5 like the right. The rest was typical build. The new Fit system is intended to be more accurate for the variation of foot, but what I found is it is not the same as my old E width, though they claim it to be.

So skates are a little larger than I feel comfortable in. I’ll continue to break them in and see if the fit around the foot helps to compensate for that, but for now I’m not as impressed with the fit as I am with the construction of the skate overall.

And yes, they’ve been baked, which isn’t the issue at all.

I picked up these skates a few weeks ago. After a bake, sharpening, and a few sessions on them they felt as comfortable as my old skates. The price is great for a nice mid-level skate. I like how much padding they have.

I can really feel the difference in comfort over my old skates. There are two negative things about these skates, one of which is already going away. The stock tongue has a rigid carbon piece integrated into it.

It offers good lace bite protection, but was a little too stiff for my liking. (With a bit of time spent flexing the tongue, it has loosened up. ) Another feature that didn’t seem to live up to the name was the “Comfort Edge”.

It’s just too compressible to offer much comfort. It’s better than nothing, though. Overall, these skates are a good value for someone looking for a mid-level skate. They have a fast break-in time with good amounts of padding.

The only thing I would like to see in the future would be a less compressible “Comfort Edge”.

Wow they are lovely! Comfortable, warm (but never too hot) during cold winter days, and extremely durable high quality skates. Perfect for all beginners and novices. Easy to maneuver with flawless performance.

They fit comfortably and snuggly and look great with the classic timeless skate design. The only negatives is that the price is quite high, there was no official instruction manual/information booklet from the manufacturer in the box, and there were no blade guards included so I had to buy the blade guards separately.

But apart for that I highly recommended these beautiful skates.

I was concerned about the sizing of the skates in reference to my foot, so I called the customer service number. I received good help and was able to order the correct size. The skates arrived within a few days as expected, and I was very well satisfied with the quality.

The only small problem is that I expected the skates to come sharpened and ready for use, but they were not completely perfect in that respect. I have enjoyed skating a few times, but feel I need to get them sharpened for best performance.

My daughter is very happy with these skates. She hasn’t skated since she was 13 years. She’s 40 years old now. They fit really well. First I ordered The 81/2. We got the 7 1/2 re in the black mens. I think the 8/1/2 was for the white colour.

Best fitting skates I ever pulled on. Actually dropped from a 7. 5 size I wore in a Bauer or CCM down to a 7 in a True skate. I wear a size 9. 5 in a street shoe. No pinch points or hot spots. You definitely need to try these on in the store before purchasing them and have them baked for a phenomenal fit.

The anatomical shaped tongue gives you a custom fit with professional level protection These skates are made from high quality materials giving you elite support and performance. They sport a high quality clarino liner and a high quality Step stainless steel blade with a solid Shift holder.

The steel blade runner can be quickly changed out and replaced if necessary on the bench during a game with the special tool provided. The only negatives I can see with these skates is the are difficult to put on and lace up until they wear in because they form so well to your feet when their baked.

The tongue is also very stiff and needs time to work in some flexibility with game usage. You also may need time to adjust to the forward profile if your used to a Bauer skate, as Bauers tend to have a flatter contour.

The True come with a nine foot profile giving you excellent manoeuvrability on ice. The fit will take a few ice sessions to adjust to but once you adjust you’ll have yourself one great set of skates.

These skates are and fit completely different from anything else on the market. It takes a bit of time to adjust to the fit but it’s worth it because they perform amazingly awesome. They give you pro stiffness and high quality features.

They where comfortable from the first time I pulled them on but moulded to my feet like nothing else I’ve ever experienced after they where baked in the store. The wide toe box takes a bit of getting used to but doesn’t effect the skates performance.

This is an elite level skate at a terrific price point. The only negative thing I have to say about these skates is they are a bit difficult to lace up and put on until their broken in after a few sessions on the ice.

You need to be patient putting them on and taking them off because they form fit so snug onto your feet. Otherwise they are on par with other elite offerings from their major competitors. They may not be for everyone but these are a fantastic alternative to some of the higher end and higher priced offerings from the other major manufacturers.

The skates really go. It took time to get used to them going from a pair of 10 year old Bauer vapors. The jury is still out as to whether these skates truly fit me. I was scanned as a size 9 Fit1 and with these skates there is a fair amount of room on top in the front part of my foot (beyond ankle) and I can’t seem to get them tight enough no matter how hard I work to tighten them.

I’ve had them baked twice and skated on them 4 times to no avail, and I am going to try get them baked one more time and skate a few times before I make a final decision. I hope it works out as I do like the look and feel of these skates.

I have a wide foot and heel and it is almost impossible to find skates that fit. I have tried the AS3 Pro wide, Hyperlite, Supreme 3s pro fit 3 without being comfortable. The AS3’s had the xs tongue touching my foot which bothered me and had too low of boot volume.

The Bauer fit 3’s heel was narrow for me and pinched. I decided to wait for the ASV Tacks in hopes they would fix the toe cap and tongue system and boot volume. THis ASV is out of this world for comfort in the wide.

They have fixed the low volume and the toe cap so no longer rubbing on the top of the foot. I knew these were great as soon as I put them on and I am glad that I didn’t settle for the other skates and waited for these to come out.

Go out and try a pair on if you have wide feet I’m sure you will love them. Price is a little high but they are the comfiest skate I have worn right out of the box.
