20 Best Single Stud Tv Mount (2023 Updated)

I needed a small mount for a small TV/DVD combo for my RV. The front wall in my camper where I wanted to mount the TV/DVD was slanted and not vertical. I needed a TV mount that would normally allow a TV to be tipped downwards when mounted on a normal wall.

By flipping one half of the mount upside down, I was able to get the mount to hold the TV straight on the sloped front wall of my RV for the perfect solution for my problem. The only minor down side, was that the bolts that hold the two parts of the mount together were not the same.

But a quick trip to my local hardware store remedied that.

This TV wall mount was exactly what I needed. It is one of the few available that allows you to install the television centered on the wall on a single stud (the wall I have has a stud in the middle).

Two long lag screws allow it to be installed easily. The directions are clear, straightforward and easy to understand as the illustrations are very detailed. While the product summary states that this mount does not pivot, that is not a true statement.

This item pivots roughly 10 degrees side to side as well as the stated vertical pivot. Not that I needed that, but it does help with attaching the cables. This took me less than an hour to assemble, install and be back to watching movies.

It does help to have someone help you with the last step which is getting the television on the mount as it would be extremely difficult for one person to see how they connect. Excellent product! My only regret is that I didn’t do this project sooner.

A pretty solid mount. Easy to install. Comes with most hardware needed to install. May need wood screws if you are mounting to a wall stud. It does include masonry screws. Gets a good grab on the TV, the cross arms seem very sturdy.

The swivel arm moves out smoothly but is grabby enough to hold its position. The tilt function tension is adjustable with an easily accessible bolt. A cap covers the wall mount hardware for a clean looking install.

A template is included for simple mock up for easy pre drilling. The possible downsides: The mount system is a big x shape across the back of the TV. Depending on where your connections are located, you may lose access to plugs if they are located in the middle or along the path of the arm.

The mfr included more than enough parts to cover any possible installation, even different size screws (both threading and depth) and spacers to meet tight specs by tv mfr. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Excellent value. Now considering replacing our family room BIG tv mount.

Directions are almost useless. Pictures with no words that don’t make sense when it comes to adjustments. Finally, after searching online, I found directions with english words that were better but still didn’t explain much.

You need a VERY wide flathead screwdriver to adjust the vertical. I have about 20 screwdrivers and none of them were large enough. If you need something so unique, it should have been included. Also, the 3 degree tilt is built into the mount to the wall so if it’s not perfectly level you have to essential re-mount to the wall to make the adjustment.

Lastly, the lag bolts included are Phillips screw heads. Who in the world using screwdriver heads instead of a hex bolt?? Easily stripped.

This mount is a welcome departure from the typical hideous, black monstrosities. It provides good viewing from seating areas almost 90-degrees apart – able to point directly at either or at an intermediate point viewable by both.

Installation was easy – three long screws. My only quibble is with Mount-it’s description “Compatibility: VESA patterns from 100 x 100 to 400 x 400” which should say “with MOST patterns from 100 x 100 to 400 x 400” since it’s not compatible with the 300 x 200 pattern on my LG TV.

Small matter now since I was able to find a solution, but it sure was annoying at the time!.

Looks great, serves my needs perfectly. Very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend mounting on a stud if possible (I did). Not sure I’d trust provided anchor screw for TV weight.

This was perfect for my office space. I created a new office due to working from home during the Covid situation. I love that I can use this to create a standing desk when needed. It was a much more affordable option that any of the true standing desks that I was looking into.

It glides easily and is perfect for what I needed. This has a large working space while being compact enough to use on the desk I purchased which isn’t huge. Happy with this purchase!.

This converter is a LIFE SAVER! My new desk job working from home had me going a bit bonkers with my restlessness from sitting for so many hours in the day. I love this converter because it is so strong and sturdy! It’s a very reliable metal material that holds up all of my computer equipment (I have a lot of necessary equipment for my job), and I’m never worried about it collapsing, toppling over, or anything like that.

It’s super easy to wipe off from dust or coffee rings (whoops!). I also really love that it locks into place wherever you want it. I was afraid it would have designated locking slots like some of these do, but this one locks wherever you let the handle go, making it super customizable to your height and comfort.

My friend is even going to purchase this one after seeing how much I love mine. A MUST for any desk-job worker!.

Works as promised with a 鈥渂ut鈥? First of all, I got it mounted just fine. The mount uses 3 screws in line vertically to attach to the wall. For smaller TV鈥檚 it鈥檚 fine as long as their not to heavy. For larger TV鈥檚 I鈥檇 prefer the wall plate to use at least 4 screws spread apart horizontally as well as vertically.

The TV plate detaches easily, however it can be finicky to attach to the wall mount once the TV is mounted to the plate. If you鈥檙e by yourself, trying to get everything lined up blind, while holding a TV can be problematic.

This leads to my only real complaint. The whole TV pivots on a ball mount. This could be great. But, (see, there鈥檚 a but) the bolt that tensions the ball mount isn鈥檛 captured so when you try to tighten it for more tension it spins.

There isn鈥檛 enough room to hold the other end without dismounting the TV. how fun!!Then, once you finally get it working right as soon as you move the TV on the mount you lose the tension. So? My TV hangs a little crooked.

I know, I could take it all apart and maybe fix it, or return the mount. But then I鈥檇 have holes in the wall. It鈥檚 a cheap TV mount. I got what I paid for I guess.

Overall, this wall mount functions perfectly. It does have a sturdy build and when I installed the first of 2 monitors (both are 32 inch), it has held up just fine. The package comes with everything you need from mounting screws and anchors to screws for the TV.

It even comes with a level so you can make sure your monitor is perfect. The only problem that I have (which is not really a problem, but just thought I would mention it), is that the swivel in the center doesn’t lock in place.

This is not anything important since you are probably never going to move the monitor or TV around, but if you have to add cables, you have to re-align the unit again. Once again, not a big issue, that’s why I didn’t deduct any stars from the rating.

For the price, this product is quite sturdy and well made. I recommend it highly!.

Once installed I was impressed with the quality of the unit. However, for a fairly simple assembly that was required, the instructions were rather poor. I have two engineering degrees and yet trying to match the diagrams/sketches to the wording and sequence was very hard to get through.

I would strongly recommend the assembly guide be redone.

This TV mount delivered everything I expected and more; it is surprisingly sturdy, very strong and easy to install. I have never used this type of mount before, but I actually feel more confident now in the security of my (overly expensive) television.

It does not budge! I trust it tenfold more than just relying on the base of my television sitting on a piece of furniture. I have children, so I need everything of value to be as secure as possible! The mount is well made, the box included all necessary parts, and again – it feels much more secure than the alternatives.

I am a complete rookie at most DIY type efforts, and I installed this in five minutes without help. I would definitely recommend the product; it delivers exactly what is promised.

I found the mount to be fairly easy to install. I like the fact that this mount is solid metal, feels sturdy and comes with a variety of hardware (most of which you won’t need) and most of the tools you need to install.

Once I attached the brackets to the back of the TV it took about 5 minutes to get my 49″ TV fitting snug against the wall. After installation, the mount feels stable, secure and works exactly as it should.

Now all I have to do is mount cable raceways to the wall to hide all the cables. Overall, I was happy with how easy it was to install and the quality of the mount.

This mount is great! Held my TV with no problems!! Very simple to put up. Didn’t need a second person to hold it! Fit perfect exactly where I wanted it! Built very well and I think it will last a very long time!.

My favorite go to tv wall mounting bracket for anything 50 to 77 inches. I have installed several hundred TVs on these bracket. They are not low profile but not that far from the wall when not tilted but will give sufficient space to the side to plug in cables when you tilt it.

You could go up to a 83 inch but it would be too far in from the tv sides & certain TVs of that size that are really heavy need a wider bracket that can span 3 metal studs. For the price it is 5 star but the one drawback from a pro tv installer standpoint is that you can?t lock the screws on the hook if you mount a soundbar close too the bottom of the tv.

The tilt is great but you have to adjust it enough where the tv doesn?t tilt down under its own weight but you don?t want it so tight where you can?t tilt it without applying a lot of pressure. Tv vesa screws: It comes with sufficient tv hook screws to fit almost every single tv vesa holes & enough spacers to fill out any excess space.

Tv mounting screws: I have never ever used the wall mounting screws that comes with this bracket except on wood studs & they work fine, otherwise I use snap toggles for sheetrock & metal studs or concrete screws.

If this bracket had a spring loaded lock on the tv hooks instead of a strew lock, it would be the best bracket in the market in terms of build quality, accessories, weight capacity, ease of installation & cost.

First review I’ve written and ebayer for at least 5 years. So being a guy that has installed numerous wall mounts for friends in the past, this is the first mount that I did not feel the need to use 2×4 braces across the studs on the finish side of the wall.

Like 10mm lag bolts included, and multiple fasteners for hooking the bracket to your TV right. Solid peices, great design, extremely functional, easy to install (in construction but still feel it was easy).

Buying a smaller one for myother TV I was so impressed. I was not paid to write this, just blown away at how great and inexpensive thia product is. Range of motion is exceptional. This is a 50″ vizio in the pic, but I bought this for my 65″ lg oled e7p, but was more in need of a mounting this location so I could utilize it in a corner.

Once the smaller one arrives, I will swap out. Hopefully the holes line up.

I sound like I’m selling it for them! This is my first review for anything and the only reason is because I didn’t think I would have liked something as much as this product. Its directions are so easy and simple that a child could do it.

Everything is bagged out separately so that you couldn’t get all mixed up where anything goes. This is a great buy at $70 or less anymore is robbery! 5stars.

I thought I am a careful person and thought the dimensions were right for my t. v. It was way off when I got it. I don’t know whose fault it was. I drilled holes where I needed to and fit it to my t.

v. However, the top and bottom of the mount extend way above and below the t. v. It securely holds the t. v. to the wall and it is located in an inconspicuous place so I don’t mind the look. The only really attributable fault is that the base had holes predrilled only in the top.

There were only these two holes and none at the bottom. So, I had to drill those holes, too. It does the job, after my modifications, but surprised me with what I got.

Bought this bracket as suggested would fit the tv (Samsung 32” T5300 HD Smart TV) that I had purchased at the same time. Bracket turned up 2 weeks later and none of the screws supplied actually fit the tv to attach it to the bracket.

A bit more info on the site would be nice and the directions are all pictures, very hard to follow with regards to attaching the tv to the bracket. Currently waiting on screws that will allow me to attach the tv to the bracket which is on the wall.

I bought this a few weeks ago as the tv hangs on an angled wall in a ‘p’ shaped room. It is fantastic and does exactly what i need it to do. I can adjust the tv very well left to right and pull it out from the wall to help position it where i want it to be.

It doesn’t tilt up or down, but i don’t need that. Glad i bought it.

This does the job of holding our TV to the wall, but the price you pay for a support that allows a range of motion is that it cannot go very far back to the wall, so your TV will always be a bit extended outwards into the room.

When you extend the arm, for some reason our TV (which is level when it’s fully pushed in and centered) becomes unleveled and tilts to one side or the other depending on which way we open the support.

I got this to add a third monitor. I already had the MI-752 with two 24 monitors, and I had the option of getting a third so this seemed like the way to do it (I had having stuff on my desk). It comes with the necessary tool(s) to assemble, and options for cable management as well.

The only caveat is that if you’re in a cubicle where the desk is close to the wall you might be in trouble. The C-bracket that mounts to the desk is robust, but you can only assemble it from the BACK.

So I had to take my desk apart, which wasn’t a big deal for me, but may be a step far for many. The other option is drilling a hole in the desk, but I doubt this would be an option at work for many.

TV Mount works great for larger TVs. It would be nice if they could include a paper template to help determining where mount is to be placed on the wall and where the mount and available studs may be.

I ended up using the anchors because the studs were not located in a way that you could shift the mount one way or the other and get more than 1 stud. Not installing these frequently, it took me a bit to do the math to try to make sure I centered the mount and got it at the right height as this was being mounted above a fireplace.

The wall mount worked very well for my father’s TV. Installation was straight forward. Luckily we didn’t have to use the extention arms or I feel it would have been more difficult. I do suggest having a wrench and sockets to use as the two large wall bolts require them and the small tool included in the hardware packet just won’t cut it in under about 100 years of twisting! My father had both so there were no issues.

The mount is very manuverable which was what was needed to be installed in a bay window angled wall. Would recomend to anyone that needed a wall mount for a smaller sized TV.

This thing took me about 15mins total to install thats reading instructions everything, pretty much all put together when you get it and it is stupid simple to install. It even gives you some of the tools for adjusting it.

I give this a 5 Star for sure!.

Would not recommend the Mount It TV Wall Mount for several reasons Adjusting The Full-Motion Up/down tilt assembly is horrible. This product does not fit TVs below 32. Fully ripped off on this purchase.

I bought this mount because I needed one with the extension length that has. The shorter ones wouldn’t work for me. I think it is a decent mount. It’s plenty strong and stable, was straight forward to mount to tv and wall.

It’s also easy to move and adjust the tv position. Two negatives are that the lag screws and washers that are supplied are not black, they are bright silver (like most screws and nails), so you will have to replace them or paint them unless you don’t mind looking at them.

My previous mount had black screws, so I used those. Second, the clips supplied for cable / wire organizing are beyond useless. They will not work. They can’t even hold one cable or wire. You’ll have to come up with your own solution.

Lastly, there are some drywall anchors provided for installing in drywall. IMO that’s a bad idea. Install it into a stud. In the end I am happy with this tv mount. I think it’s a fair price and it does exactly what I bought it for.

I gave it 4 stars because of the useless wire holders (why even include them??) and the lack of black screws. I would recommend this mount with those qualifiers.

Good product, does the tilt,’swivel and articulating. The one thing I don’t like is the way the TV balances on the arms. Makes me nervous with the kiddos. There is nothing to keep the tv from siding off.

I think a more fastened concept of attaching the tv would be safer and my husband thinks this is just how their made. Either way, I make sure the kids do t touch it out of fear of the tv falling on them.

Overall It is a well made product and does everything it says it does. Very heavy too so attach it to studs in the wall.

Although this product did not work for my specific purpose it appears very well built and has tons of hardware included. I cannot give it 5 stars because I didn’t install or actually use it so I would not want to lead potential buyers astray on the use part of it.

I was disappointed it didn’t fit my needs but that’s not the fault of the product. Hoping I can find something as good as this that has the configuration I need.

Works great for a35 inch tv. Had to go to hardware store for correct length screws. Came with correct threading of screws but they were an inch short to go into the back of the tv

This is a great mount! There are many different size options to fit a range of TV’s. And spacers too – in case your TV doesn’t have long screw holes in it (I used 2 screws with spacers, and 2 without).

We mounted this in a corner of the room, and couldn’t be happier. We were able to use the closest stud to the corner and swing the tv to look like it’s just fit right in the corner. And being able to tilt it down towards the bed is a great option too.

Once you know where you want it – just tighten it and you are ‘locked in’. GREAT mount for $25!! and the HD cable, the velcro strips to hide wires and the screen cleaner (which works Great!) make this an awesome deal – you won’t be dissapointed!.

Really Happy with this mounting kit, I personally recommend making sure you find at least 2 studs if hanging this on drywall and your TV is over 50 pounds. My 75″ weighs 80+ pounds and I would not rely on 20 nails in drywall.

I found 2 studs and made sure it was level and I really like the way this hangs on the wall. It also allows about 2″ to slide left or right if you are trying to center it on a wall. The locking mechanism is nice as well, but I am not sure it is needed.

This seems rock solid for a large TV hanging on drywall, but if I was hanging this on brick or concrete/cement I would use TapCons. Hope this helps.

Great product. Easy to install. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the instruction manual has no words and was difficult to understand. I hung a 50 inch TV. Recommend this if you are hanging a large TV.

I also like that it gives the option to hang with or without studs. It is high quality!.

Bought to hang a 43in TV on my daughter’s wall. The room is pretty small, so this was a lifesaver. Instructions could have been better, but wasnt too difficult. Frankly I wouldnt trust it with anything over 25-30lbs, but for her 18lb TV, its been great.

Recommended if you need to hang a lightweight set using only drywall.

Pros: Very solid TV mount. Currently mounted in the kitchen for a 32” LG. It allows tilt and angles out when needed, although it usually stays against the wall, it will be useful in the summer if we are outside on the deck as it can be angled that way for viewing.

We decided on this one as the plug and Ariel socket were positioned very close to where the mount had to be (small area beside the window, so not much wiggle room) and this mount gave us the space needed to allow the plug to be used and keep everything looking neat and tidy.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a great TV mount for a smaller TV.

Pros: None, does not fit 24 inch Toshiba TV, VeSa 75 x75mm. Has a good finish and engineering looks good. Cons: Far too big for small TVs. Bracket would not fit because of DVD bulge. Also arms of bracket stuck out above the TV when and if it fitted.

Some indication of position on wall the TV would be after fixing the brackets would help. Fitting screw holes not consistent between products so left with holes in wall.

Pros: Easy to install with the screws and template supplied. Minimum space between the tv and wall would recommend Cons: The two screws at the bottom to secure the tv where very difficult to get at. Had to purchase an extra long screwdriver which eventually did the job.

I bought a 32” TV to hang on this mount. I loved how the swing arm operated, after the TV was put into place. Within minutes, however, the wall plate was pulling away from the wall. The problem is the screw housings provided are not strong enough to support a TV at the top of the size/weight range.

We had to stop and delay installation until we could go to the hardware store and get some stronger screw housings, some metal ones that will expand into “claws” behind the wall once the screw is inserted.

This was very annoying. If a product advertises it will support a certain item, then it should. This is just an example of the Kanto company taking the el-cheapo way out.

Works as advertized. Solid build, easy to install and easy to use. Adequate cable managment. Gives a good range of motion/viewing angle. Used with a 32 inch LG LCD tv. I am purchasing a second one now!.

This wall mount came with instructions showing how it attaches to the different setups for the TV. The one point not covered is the screws that mount directly to the TV, may need spacers. The standard spacer included were the wrong size.

You will need to cut the spacer in some cases in order for the TV to be mounted. If you don’t, you can not use the mount. Took some thinking. Once completed, easy to install and works great, moves in all different directions, and is sturdy.

Would have given it 5 stars, but since the instructions were of no value for the mounting issue, it took at least an extra half hour of frustration. They just need to add an assortment of different sized spacers to prevent that problem.

Ultimately I would buy it again.

This is a poorly designed bracket. It is attached to the wall with two screws, but the bottom screw hole is wide and permits the wall-mounted part to rotate. Due to the fact the mount then applies a rotational force when the TV is folded back against the wall, inevitably it then forces the wall mount to loosen and rotate.

My TV, mounted by AO’s team, is now wonky and rotates all the time. Might be OK for smaller TVs, but do not recommend for anything like a 55″ size OLED.

The TV mounting bracket can only be used with the arms. The screw holes do not fit the screws, no matter which ones you try to use without the arms. Some TV’s do not need the arms but this bracket you HAVE to use them to attach to the TV.

Advertised as a Easy install, no way. Company is in the Netherlands so no customer support except through email. Will be returning and purchasing a Sanus brand.

Very easy to attach to wall stud and to TV. Kit comes with everything you need for a wide variety of installations. when you open the box don’t get intimidated by all the parts!! You’ll only need a few parts for your particular situation.

Very sturdy. This is my third kit from FH. Only thing left is the bathroom!?!?.

Item is not as described. Upon receiving the item I learned that the item is only rated to hold 77 pounds. On the listing on fingerhut. com the item description specifies that this unit can hold up to 100 pounds.

Potential buyers beware. My item was well underneath both specified ratings and have no issues as of today.

Easy to mount, very durable, and solid. Not like others that have slack when you stretch them out.

The mount is a comprehensive package that even includes a built-in level and all of the screws one would likely need. It is a rather straightforward process to install the unit, but you might need to experiment with how it attaches to the TV.

They do include spacers which should cover most special requirements. My installation was a bit peculiar as it was thick drywall with a concrete block backing it. I thought the included screws might be too long, so I tried different screw/anchor combinations with bad results.

I finally just used the large screws and it anchored fine. The only issue I have is that the adjustments for screen tilt are indented. The one that should be flat makes the screen appear to be slightly tilted up.

It is minor, but I do notice it. I mounted a Seiki 30″ which ironically weighs less than the mount.

After alot of looking my wife and I decided on this wall mount for our daughters room. We picked this particular one because you only have to worry about finding one stud to anchor it to rather than two.

With that being said a stud finder is a handy tool to have, which doesn’t come in this particular wall mount. Although we did see other models that had a stud finder included, but we had one already so we knew the studs were pretty far apart in the location we wanted it.

So purchasing a wall mount that would require two studs would not work. It was easy set up the kit even has adjusters if you needed them if the back of your tv didn’t line up right. It took 15mins to put up, very simple and straight forward, nothing complicated.

The tv is a 22″ and it’s secure and gives the full range of motion tilting we needed. Great product and the value was a wonderful bonus.

I used this to mount my LG 26LS3500 TV that has VESA 100 mounting holes so I didn’t need the extension arms. Mounting the bracket to the wall stud requires first drilling pilot holes for the bolts. I started with a 1/8″ drill bit but that was much too small.

I eventually used a 7/32″ bit. I didn’t go quite deep enough so the last 1/2″ of the bolt took a lot of effort to screw in. And you must screw the bolt all the way into the bracket or the mount won’t slide onto it.

The bolts can be turned with a Philips head screw driver, but I had to resort to a metric socket and ratchet wrench to get the leverage for the final 1/2″. (That was all because I didn’t drill the pilot hole deep enough.

) When I set the TV as close to the wall as possible, it’s only about 3 1/2″ out. That made it a tight fit to get my hand into a position to tighten the adjustment knobs, but someone with smaller hands would have no problem.

Once I put the TV on the wall, I noticed it wasn’t quite level. But the mount rotates, so I just rolled it to a level position. I don’t remember anything in the product description about that, but the rotational friction is sufficient to hold the TV in position once set.

It’s not loose or wobbly whatsoever. I don’t anticipate changing the position of the TV so I guess I could have purchased a static mounting system. But this one was suitable for my application and it mounts to a single wall stud with only two bolts.

And the price was right!.
