Let’s be real. A cocktail made with a mix such as this won’t be as good as one made authentically. However, as a shortcut, it is very good since I don’t always want to make an old fashioned the proper way.

I enjoy drinking cocktails with this product as the drink does taste good. I’ll happily pay $5 for a good tasting drink mix that will save me time. My recommendation is to try and make a drink with 1/2 or 3/4oz of the mix as opposed to the 1oz it calls for depending on your preference.

Grenadine is supposed to be made of pomegranate. This is cloyingly sweet and tastes like artificial cherry cough syrup sbc bubble gum. I will stick to roses or try my hand at making my own.

Great sweetner, I have c a problem with sugar staying granulated, it tends to get stuck together and hard compact, unusable. This is a great way not to have to deal with the problems of granulated sugar.

I bought this to make whiskey sours, and they turned out decent. Not a fan of the spout as it drips a bit, but a good size for the price. Had enough left over to make other drinks down the road.

I love making cocktails and these are delicious. They are high quality, have great flavor, and can be used in numerous cocktails. They are on the expensive side for syrup at almost $2 an ounce, and much more expensive than making your own.

However if you don’t want to take the time to make your own these are some of the best I’ve ever used.

This is the absolute best Old Fashioned mix that I have found. It is far better than any I’ve come up with from “scratch” or pre-mixed drinks from several different distillers. It isn’t overly sweet and the spices are unique and tasty.

I just don’t understand the great reviews on this product. I am very accustomed to drinking and eating sugar-free drinks and food. I have been sugar-free since I was 19 (I’m now 56). This in no way tastes like any caramel I have ever consumed.

It has a terrible after taste. I can’t even describe the flavor of this. I’ve wasted 3 coffee pods, about 1-1/2 cups of milk, plus the syrup. I tried a combination of different strength coffees, different amounts of the milk, and various amounts of the syrup and none of them were even remotely drinkable.

It all went down the drown right along with the bottle of syrup, and my money. Abosolutely horrible. I would give it negative 10 stars if that were possible. I so badly wanted to be able to make my morning Iced Caramel Macchiato, but this just doesn’t cut it.

Be prepared to be asked often: What was that it I was tasting in my drink? I tell them, we basically do not believe in cutting any corners, so there is a slight addition that is both tasty and is gluten free which imparts a simplistic level layering of elements.

Perfect for mojitos. A good Mojito takes a lot of mint and some sugar with this you get the great mint taste and sugar combined. I still use fresh mint but this makes it a quicker drink to make and you only need to use a few mint leaves to get the authentic cocktail.

Ive tried a few monin syrups in the past and they have had the weirdest taste, like a chemical non food taste, so Ive had to send them back, which made me really dubious about buying a sugar free one.

I looked at the reviews and seen a lot of five stars and wondered whos been paid to write them, but Ive got to say it tastes great, and Ill definitely be buying again. It smells and tastes great, and no sugarIve never tried the sugar caramel syrup to compare, but I highly recommended.

Only thing I would say is you need half of what you normally would use because its very sweet, and Ive got a very sweet tooth. Hence switching to sugar free. But its not a criticism, because itll save me money in the long run because Im getting two coffees from the same amount I would normally use for one.

Good alternative to Starbucks’ caramel syrup. Starbucks used to sell its syrup, but has stopped. So was happy. NTUC carried this option. Strong scent, although would have liked stronger caramel notes when mixed into the coffee.

I feel compelled to offset the negative reviews, as I put off buying this product for a long time due to those, and almost didn’t at all. At least when I purchased it, this product is fine–it’s what I expected it to be.

No negative surprises like bitterness or lack of this-or-that kind of flavor. I’m not a pumpkin spice fanatic, but my partner is, and my partner–who claims to dislike all things stevia–also approved.

We actually often have completely different takes on what food product is ‘good’ or ‘crap’, so us both agreeing that this product is fine–take that as validation. I’m not over the moon about it, and my partner’s not trying to add it to everything either, but, when we do, it’s good! I’ve now tried 3 NuNaturals syrups: this plus the Cocoa, and the Cocoa-Mint.

I like them all, and I’ve repurchased the original one I tried, the chocolate-mint. The biggest difference is the cocoa-based ones are a lot thicker, because they use ACTUAL cocoa powder in both, not chocolate ‘flavors’.

And true to form, NuNaturals uses ACTUAL spices here too. In fact, if you look at the ingredients, you’ll not even find “natural flavors” listed at all. Just actual spices. The Pumpkin Spice syrup is not watery, but it is thinner, so it comes out a lot faster than the cocoa ones.

Just keep that in mind the first time you pour. I agree that the NuNaturals syrups are a bit high in their sweetness to other-flavorings ratio, but I’ve found that to be the case with pretty much all stevia ‘flavored sweeteners’, and there are definitely worse offenders.

Stevia has somewhat gotten a bad name because there are 2 tiers of steviols used in food; one definitely tastes better (less bitter) than the other, and is more expensive, and a consumer will not know this by reading the label, and will just find it palatable or not.

And when it’s not, they think all stevia is the same. NuNaturals seems to be using the better kind. I believe that’s also what NOW brand uses in its “BetterStevia”. Actually my main issue with NuNaturals is that they don’t provide a smaller size so people can try more of their products with less of a commitment.

The containers are pretty large, so the price is kind of a barrier. At least we have reviews here. If I could only have 1 of the NuNaturals syrups, it would be one of the cocoa ones over this one, but that is personal, because I like chocolate milk.

I have mixed this one in cold milk, and like I said, we both liked it (make sure you use enough–the ‘serving size’ is kind of a joke). But I haven’t made a habit of it as much as the chocolate milk.

And I’m not into coffee, so I bought it more for my partner’s coffee. All the stevia-sweetened ‘flavor drops’ I’ve bought on Vitacost, I pretty much ignore now, with the exception of these NuNaturals syrups, which I still use.

But then again, I’m not adding the syrups directly to plain drinking water, so your usage needs may differ.

let me preface this by saying my favorite flavors from monin are the french vanilla, roasted hazelnut, and pistachio. this way you know how my preference for flavors tends to skew. i gave this a try needing to fulfill the minimum requirement for free shipping, and the reviews looked promising so i thought ‘why not?’ i was looking for an almond syrup that could be used to recreate the toasted almond flavor at dunkin, but this was not it in the slightest.

my biggest gripe is how much of a chemical scent and corresponding foreign taste it has–it’s way too overbearing for me to a point where even 1 pump overpowers the flavor of my coffee. i’ve tried mixing this with cold brew, regular brew, espresso, instant coffee, all to no avail.

i’ve tried making this using another flavor to offset it (chocolate sauce, vanilla syrup, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract) and nothing pairs well with it. if you’re looking for a lighter/subtle almond flavor (like i was), this is not it.

but the problem is, it doesn’t even resemble an almond flavor, like i truly don’t know what this was supposed to be.

Though I love floral flavors like violet and lavender, I was skeptical about this one. But, after adding this to a strawberry Tiramisu, I am now a devoted fan of this amazingly flavorful syrup. The rose makes the strawberry taste like fresh strawberries, which, if you have ever tasted one straight from the vine, actually taste very floral and fragrant.

So, the rose serves to remove any trace of artificiality from this syrup and gives it a flavor complexity unlike anything else. If. you are looking for a syrup that tastes like strawberry candy, this is not it.

If you are looking for a syrup that tastes like fresh berries, this is the one. Please do not stop making this flavor – it is truly stellar! And, if you do decide to discontinue it, please let me know so that I can buy a few dozen cases.

We made the Run For the Roses cocktail and it was a hit with everyone who tried it! It’s also excellent on ice cream. We made a pretty mocktail when we poured lemonade over ice, pumped a little Strawberry Rose syrup into the glass and let it settle on the bottom; topped off it with a splash of sparkling water, a frozen strawberry, and a mint leaf.

It was a gorgeous concoction. You could spike it with Gin, but we enjoyed the non-alcoholic version so much, we served it as is and the guests loved it!.

To be honest, first impression wasn’t great — I didn’t like the way it smelled or tasted. But I’m glad I gave it a shot (pun intended) because it made a GREAT margarita! I put together a few margaritas (using fabulous organic lime juice purchased here – Santa Cruz, tequila, and GM), and the consensus was it was one of the best I’ve ever made.

Just to be sure, I made a couple more the next night, and the next. I’ve been longing for a simple syrup made with something besides sugar, and this one it a hit! It mixed like simple syrup and added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the tartness of the lime.

I did adjust my recipe to use slightly less of the syrup because it seems to be a little sweeter tasting than the real thing. No weird aftertaste! Yay! I don’t love the way sugar makes me feel, and I get headaches or gas from some of the substitutes.

So, I’m happy to report NO ill effects from this. Bottom line: great product for crafting your own sugar free cocktails!.
