Best Side Dishes For Fourth Of July (2025 Updated)

This is great! I got it for the super bowl and the price is unbeatable for themed supplies and getting 24 of each item is great. The only thing is the utensils are green and not white but I prefer the green so it was a better outcome.

In my haste to get supplies for my sons graduation I didn’t realize how minimal and overpriced this purchase was. You can get much more for your money at your local Walmart or dollar store. Lesson learned.

Shop around, save money.

I ordered 2 boxes for a total of 12 place settings. One box came as described. The other box was missing an entire set of 6 salad plates and an entire set of 6 cereal bowls and 6 salad bowls! I really like the set of dishes, but beware, you may not get everything you’re planning on!.

This stoneware has substantial weight to it and the design is unique (not round and not square). It creates a regal place setting. The colors are a mix of a true green, black, brown, and olive green.

These dishes are awesome in my kitchen that includes a lot of wood, black trim, and stainless steel. It is as if these dishes were designed specifically with me in mind. The dishes were double boxed and received in excellent condition with no chips, breakage, or other mars.

We were able to purchase them through Office Depot for less than any other retailer was offering them for. I was hesitant at first because I was unsure of the coloring but once received they definately lived up to my hopeful expectations.

I would definately purchase these again.

I love this set. Arrived quickly & undamaged. Only gripe is with the lack of quality control. One of the mug’s outside hobnails had a pretty severe nib of unfinished ceramics that was significant & very sharp.

The bottom of one of the dessert plates where it rested in the kiln on a wire had a similar sharp nib. Neither being worth repacking & shipping back. I hand sanded them down with a fingernail emery board until smooth.

Not a deal breaker. I ordered a second set. Outside is a natural oatmeal tweed color. The interior yellow is more like a dijon mustard with the seed-like speckles mixed with a darker banana color. It’s not screaming yellow mustard.

Nice & heavy, solid. Very pretty, so worth the price. Very pleased.

Have had these for a couple of years. They’re really nice for basic dishes. There have been a couple of casualties due to excessive gravitational pull in my kitchen. I would prefer the bowls not as shallow.

Otherwise, I like them.

I ordered four sets of these and only one dinner plate came irregular a bit. There was an edge that was a little unusual. but the rest of it all was in good shape. I was looking to create a diner feel in my kitchen and wanted basic white plates to complete the look.

Real commercial plates were very expensive. I think these were the least expensive I found after searching the internet and they turned out great. They do seem to get marked up from silverware use. Nothing excessive.

I’ve had them for at least five years now. and I haven’t broken one. I did chip a big matching bowl I ordered separately but setting something down on it accidentally. I don’t find I use the cream and sugar at all.

I should probably just throw them away. I preferred the class ones with the chrome top you see in most restaurants.

Arrived well packaged. Love the plates, the rippled surface gives the appearance of flag moving. Would have liked the plates a little bit larger.

Fourth of July, here we come. These plates are patriotic & very artsy. I can’t wait to use them!

Luxury Buy that is definitely worth it! These robust soup bowls and oblong plates are a staple now in the house. I bought them when my husband broke his arm and leg as this was a little more manageable for him at that time, but now we use them all the time and my regular dishes hardly get out of the cabinet.

Sturdy, and classy. We love the durability, and versatility of this set. I would have bought a set of two, as it was all we needed really, but now thrilled that it comes with four as we use them so often.

Bought this as a Christmas present for myself for 2022 so it is wrapped and haven’t used it yet. It is very nice quality. A bit heavy but a Vince sized bowl for Christmas soup and a good sized plate.

The red color is very nice but if using it every day you might enjoy the white. Perfect size for chips and dip or even fondue. Lots of possibilities. The bowl will slide if carried on the plate to the table so carry it separately to the table.

A setting of four come in each package. Price may go as low as $14. 95 based on reviews.

We use a lot of bowl’s at our house. When I saw this set at Sam’s I had to have it. Nothing like bowl’s with handle’s. So much better to get them out of the microwave, the handle’s are not hot either.

The bowl’s are big and the platter was just extra special. Big enough to hold your bowl and bread or a sandwich. Also at Holiday’s the platter is big enough for the man who likes to eat a little more like mine does who is 6’5.

You can not go wrong with this set. I got my self 2 set’s.

This is really a lovely set of summer dishes. They have a little deeper center so they are perfect for salads or pasta dishes. The salads plates are really attractive especially when placed on the dinner plates.

Makes a nice presentation and so summery.

For years I needed a new set of Dinnerware & when I saw these, I had to get them. Though they weren’t ceramic, I love the designs. My 2 loves – Wolves and Lighthouses decorate different areas of my home.

This set is a perfect addition. Only wish there were cups.

We purchased a set of these dishes a year ago for outdoor / picnic use, and they are good and sturdy, nice looking, and do the job well! The only drawback is that the style doesn’t have matching acrylic drink ware.

Good quality. Better than the cheap sets I have bought before for twenty pounds from Argos. Had a look on youtube and Whall is a popular make. Shaved hair my self and happy with the results.

This hair trimmer was so easy to use, the 1/2 sizes also really helps. The trimmer gave a more professional finish to the haircut. The different cutting blades are very well made and very easy to change.

The trimmer is also very easy to clean, overall I would say an exceptional hair trimmer.

I’ve been cutting own hair now for 20 years. Always with re charge able cord free. Fed up of batteries dying after a year. These are sturdy powerful and easy to use, I hope they last for years to come.

Looking at the quality I wont need another pair for some time.

Bought a total of 12 place settings from BB&B — eight of them came with glazing defects (white spots, pinholes, etc. ) and had to be returned. One piece arrived broken, too. Generally, there was one of the three pieces with a defect- a bad bowl in the red set, a plate in the blue, etc.

A couple sets had 2 of the three pieces with defects. All told we had ordered twelve 3-piece place settings, (in 12 different colors), and 11 of the 36 items had defects, scattered across 8 of the 12 boxes.

We returned the 8 defective sets to the local store – they only had 1 in stock, so the rest of the were ordered, to be shipped to us. When the first four replacements arrived, they came in with defects as well.

Before returning them a second time, as a test, we ordered replacement sets directly from Fiesta- they all came in in perfect condition. So we just waited for the other four to arrive, returned all 8 of the defective settings to BBB and took a refund so we could buy the remainder from FW directly.

Observations: 1. The same items ordered from Fiestaware directly are better quality, with none of the glazing defects we saw in the BBB-sourced items. 2. The items shipped from Fiestaware are packed better than the ones you get from BBB.

The place settings come with all 3 pieces in a retail box, from both sources. But the ones from BBB look like store stock put in a box and shipped, while the ones from FW get extra packaging inside the box, between each piece in the set.

Conclusion: Never again will we buy Fiesta ware from BBB if it involves shipping- and we won’t buy any in store unless we can open them to inspect first.

I have a ton of Fiesta; my husband claims that the cupboard is going to just rip off the wall anytime now. So while it might seem this review is only because of the sweepstakes, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Fiesta has a ton of great options in dinnerware, serving pieces, bakeware, you name it. I use mine for everyday and it looks great, has held up through my children and now grandchildren and still looks great.

The color choices are fabulous. Great for just starting out, great for a collector, and everything in between. It hasn’t been around for as long as it has by accident. It’s the real deal! I couldn’t be happier with mine.

And this newest color, Peony – I am IN LOVE! It’s a little outside of my normal colorscape, but I have done numerous combinations and they are all gorgeous. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to get Fiesta, well get off the fence and go shopping!.

I inherited my first fiestaware pieces from my grandmother, so they were the original first introduced by Homer Laughlin. My mother and my aunt jumped on board the fiestaware wagon, and eventually I transitioned from my country geese and apple kitchen decor to full on fiestaware.

The colors and the quality of these beautiful pieces are unsurpassed. My family and I have no other dinnerware. I love the bright colors; they just make me happy whenever I open my cupboard and see them there.

I know that these beautiful dishes will live on long after I’m gone. (My daughter has already requested them). Don’t hesitate for a moment on purchasing any of the fiestaware pieces. No matter what piece or color you choose, you won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately, had to return 3 boxes of this dinnerware. Really like the style, and sizes, but the quality is severely poor. I didn’t expect perfection, or anything close to it. But, I also didn’t expect that two different shades of finish would be drizzled over the dishes.

The two tone paint drip marks are very apparent, and hard to ignore. The bottoms were rough, and unfinished, and seem like they would scratch other nesting dishes. There are various visible air bubbles as well.

The color(s) has a grey tint to it. On a positive note, all dishes arrived in one piece – no breaks!.

I chose this dinnerware set because I was looking for something clean, classy and sturdy. It’s perfect! The textured parts of the dinnerware give an extra bit of elegance to the set. I’ll also add that Elama offers a 30-day warranty on any items that arrive chipped or broken, as well as those that may break in their first 30 days.

So, a good value as well. Oh! And I love the two bigger bowls; they are perfect for pasta.

I have been looking for a new set of white dishes for our new home and came across Elama Iris. I am so glad I found them, they arrived exactly when they said they would and the set is beautiful. Service for 6 is the perfect size and the quality of the dishes are superb.

Absolutely love this set it arrived all intact. I was pleasantly surprised it looked better than expected. I liked the addition of the serving bowls. Overall great set will purchase a second. Great price in comparison to other big brand stores I looked at.

I ordered 2 sets of this dinnerware after reading a LOT of reviews. I used it for the first time this past weekend. I was happy that mugs were not included because we don’t need those; we needed plates and bowls.

We LOVE it. The colors are cheerful without being overly vibrant, and there is a nice design on the dinnerware. The bowls are very roomy. The plates did not get overly hot in the microwave. Everything cleaned up nicely in the dishwasher.

I liked the set so much that I ordered a 3rd box just in case something gets broken. Heartily recommend this set.

I was so disappointed in these dishes. the ones I got at the dollar tree were better than these. sure they look nice when I first got them and I was stoked. but they are crap. worst set I have ever come across.

says microwave safe and dishwasher safe. but let me tell you. you stick these in the microwave with food on it only the plate/bowl heats up and not the food. like blazing hot! it would never heat up the food on the plate at all.

but the plate will be so hot you need an oven mitt to take it out and the food sitting on it will be cold. and dishwasher safe my rear! I dont manhandle dishes and take care when I load them into my dishwasher.

every single dish from this set have gouges and huge chips all over. ive barely had these a year. and this is with just 2 adult using these. no kids. so while they look nice, they do not stay that way for long.

I just bought another set from a different brand. I’d like to know what the people who wrote glowing reviews of these think about them now. I’m betting they have the same issues I had. go buy another set pand steer clear of these.

they are crap.

We have been looking for a replacement dishware set and some of the prices we saw were insane. We knew we wanted something with bright colors but not too gaudy or busy. I am a designer so I am very picky.

When we saw the price on this set we immediately ordered two sets. The set is simply gorgeous with bright colors and the bowls are perfection. Everything was well-packed and the sets arrived with no chips or damage.

These are every day dishes for a family of three and at this price we will not be worried if we chip or break one. We would just order a replacement set for spares.

I LOVE these dishes! They are beautiful. They look like expensive dinnerware. The price is great! They withstood being run through the dishwasher just fine. The only negative about this item is that I purchased three sets and each set ships separately.

I received one set one week, the second set the second week, and I am waiting for the 3rd set to ship.

This 12 piece Melamine Dinnerware set is very wonderful, I feel this is just made for me. The design is patchwork, very colorful and lovely. Each plate is very light-weight, extremely easy to pick up from the shelf.

Due to its lightness, cleaning these dishes is not a strenuous task. In addition, I have a tendency to chip dishes, plates and bowls; however with this product, I do not have to worry about chipping or breaking! This is the most important point for me.

I already love this dinnerware set very much as it is, but I do wish that it were microwave save. I highly recommend this product to my friends.

I used the plate for 60 seconds in the microwave heating a piece of pizza and it cracked when I took it out. Now I have three plates.

I bought these to go with the Mulberry Dinner plates. I love them! The color is rich and deep and these are solid plates. I plan to collect another color this year because I like them so much. A lot of people say they last “forever.

I love Fiestaware and this little plate does not disappoint. It has held up perfectly in the dishwasher. The quality is excellent. I ordered it online and the shipping was fast and the plate was wrapped up and so well protected.

I really like that this plate has more of a shimmery matte finish rather than a glossy finish like my other Fiestaware pieces.

This Halloween design is fun and goes with so many of the other colored plates by Fiesta. It makes for fun Halloween decor. I am trying to complete my collection, but finding it really difficult to purchase this pattern since Halloween is over.

I wish they offered it all year long so I can work on my collection. Excellent quality. Quick delivery.
