20 Best Short Shorts For Men (2023 Updated)

I recently ordered 4 pairs of your Hanes Men’s Jersey shorts with pockets through your website. I was quite surprised by the cost of the items and was appreciative of the additional percentage off. Then they arrived, it is true what they “You get what you pay for”.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Although I have several owned the same product over the years, I was truly disillusioned by the quality of the product. The size of the product was not at all what is considered as medium, I could tell by looking at them that the size was wrong.

And as far as the quality of the material, it is actually a waste of resources, labor, material and energy to have produces such a product. As I said I was surprised at the cost, but would have gladly paid 2-3 times more for the quality I have found in your products in the past.

I am returning these products and will probably never buy Hanes products again. Perhaps you should spend more on quality products and less on celebrity spokespersons. BTW, most manufacturers have a “contact us” option on their website with an email address to contact customer support.

Perhaps you should put a little extra money into your website design as well.

I wanted a comfortable cotton pocket short for sleeping and for around the home, and these shorts are it. Elastic is very comfortable, stitching appears to be within tolerance. The drawstring is long enough to tie and stay outside after washing and drying.

One star off for fabric thickness and weight. While thinner materials are more comfortable and arguably maintain a cooler temperature, longevity of the product’s material through washing and wearing, plus a quality feel are king when it comes to cotton fabric.

Personally, I would have had no problem paying double the price for double the fabric thickness if that option were offered by Hanes.

These shorts are great! I read a lot of people wearing these shorts as pj’s, but these shorts can be worn as casual & workout shorts; which I wear them as. They are light, comfortable, and has athletic fit & look.

I am 6 ft, 185-90 lbs (athletic build/lean), and bought a Medium. They fit great with the bottom of the shorts right above the knee. I wear a Large fitting t-shirt with the shorts and they go well together.

If you want more casual look, I am thinking Large would work too without looking baggy (I may try this in the future). The colors I bought were dark blue and gray (only colors available for this size, not sure why).

You can not beat the price and the quality shorts are great. Definitely will purchase more.

I had one pair of these shorts like them so much I ordered two more online. These are excellent shorts. I like the zipper pocket on the right and I like having a combination of the polyester and spandex.

These have no liner which I prefer. I wear compression shorts underneath. They fit well. I would say they run a little bit large I have a medium my waist is probably 35 or less. After one month I am totally satisfied we’ll see about durability.

I would buy again for sure. For the price I believe this is a good product for the money.

The fit is fantastic for a big man. The wide band waist is perfect. These are now my go to shorts.

I am 5’9″ and weigh 365 lbs, I use a size 42 waist and I had ordered a 44 thinking they might run a little small. They were too long and faded, the color navy blue looked like if I had washed it a few times already.

I loved the customer support. The sonicare was bought after my dentist said was the one he used. I love the small brush head, it makes it easier to reach all my teeth front and back. The vibrations do help dislodge stuff from between your teeth even after flossing.

The setting that starts the vibration gentler was great because before I used the round headed oral b. With that being said, I prefer the sonicare much more than the oral b.

Quiet vacuum with plenty of suction power. On board tools are easily accessible, stored outside on hose I don’t have to stop turn off vacuum and open compartment. I love the way I can control the suction power up or way down depending on what I want to vacuum.

With a switch of a button I can go from carpet to floor love that feature and you can suck up anything, nothing gets stuck in roller brushes or roller motor.

These brush heads are authentic from Phillips. I got an extra head from shopping online. My only gripe was with the selller. It took forever to get here. But overall I’m satisfied.

My college age son is extremely picky about his shorts. These were the only pair that had great fabric, a nice fit & the color he was looking for. We always find what we are looking for when we go to Academy.

Worst quality Adidas shorts I’ve ever bought. One of the stripes came off first use. They’re flimsy material, the pockets are swimming trunk linings and can see directly onto the leg when opened. The zips are also very cheap and rattle as you walk.

I purchased these shorts in 2016. Between now and then it seemed they changed the style or took them away. They are back and I love them but the pockets suck. They are mesh-like swimsuit nets. When I zip up the pockets, they get caught and I fear they rip.

Also when you walk they swing strangely and push your shorts all the way up.

The short isn’t too thick to sleep in without air condition and is a great short for the gym. The concrete color Hanes ComfortWash GDH150 short sleeve pocket tee is a great match for the navy color short.

Bought these shorts for my grandson’s football games. They fit perfectly and he loves them. I would recommend this product.

I’m going to keep this short, no pun intended! Anyway, I’ve had a pair of these now for 3 seasons, and I haven’t had any of the issues that the one star reviews gave, I think they are a quality short.

None of the zippers have failed, they are easy to open and close, and I put stuff in my pockets too so I give the pockets reasonable stress and still haven’t failed. My shorts use a snap on for the waste and not a button, so not sure if the button thing that some have screamed about is a newer thing or an older thing vs my shorts, but a button can be sewn back on.

I obviously have had no issues with the stitching, the stitching still looks like it did when I got them new. I use them once a week, then wash them in handwash mode on my washing machine, the instructions say to line dry but I throw them in the dryer on the gentle cycle, except for the liner, the liner gets air dried.

Could be my body size but I found the shorts to run a tad large, which is adjustable with the side straps band thing. Not sure if the quality has slipped over the past 3 years since I bought mine in 2019, but I am completely happy with these shorts, and they’re good for at least another season and probably more.

While the padded liner that came with mine will probably need to be replaced at some time this next year or the year after, the short itself will continue to live on. A word about padded liners and how to wash them, padded liners will take on odors so you need to rid that odor when you wash them, the best way to do that is to use your regular laundry detergent and then add a cup of white vinegar to the wash, put the wash on soak mode on gentile or delicate or handwash cycle, so I wash all my liners together with nothing else in the load.

If the odor is persistent after that then do the same as above but add a cup of baking soda on top of it all.

I do lots of road/tour cycling (20 to 50 miles) Liner & shorts are comfortable, and love the pockets. Quality so far seems up to LLBean standards I like the looser fit outer short, but they are a touch long for my tastes.

Still worth it; although I really really like the LLBean comfort cycling shorts that has been discontinued twice as much. (Hint hint) Fit is as described & recommended; at least for how I like them to fit.

I am in my 50s, 6’, 180 lbs, and with a normal build. Mediums were too tight & large was just tight 4 stars because I like the LL bean comfort cycling shorts more.

I bought the first ZOIC mountain bike shorts in 1996. They were AWESOME. First shorts engineered for mountain biking. Durable, good fit, removable liner, position, size and angles of pockets. Elastic and Velcro waist to adjust to my changing size.

Still have Zoic sticker on my 1991 Cannondale Mt Bike. Used the originals for 25 years but this year needed larger waist. Searched the market and ZOIC is still innovator and best designed short. The new Ether has rad colors and various lengths.

Most important for me is waist is more adjustable. Fabric light, breathable, nice hand. Pocket tweaked a little but still where I love/need them. Crotch ventilated by material no zippers. Durable pocket zipper liners.

Improved fly zipper Velcro closure. Right length and width of leg to permit movement on and off the bike. COMFORTABLE & STYLISH These are the BEST made 👍.

I’m an avid weight trainer so trying to find loose fit or fitted shorts that accommodate legs and glutes is always a problem. I have to buy a size larger in the waist on these to manage that but these are the most comfortable shorts I’ve ever worn.

Quality build and durable. I like longer shorts so the 22” out seam is perfect. Perfect for casual dress or a step up from casual. This is daily attire in Florida. Will be stocking up on these.

This is the 2nd pair I bought of same exact short. Other one is the khaki 22 inch and fit very well. They are also same size as new ones. This new pair fits totally different. Tight in areas that are not comfortable.

I washed them to get wet and took them out of washer to wear them wet and allow them to stretch with wear on a warmer day on golf course. That did not help. Just strange that 2 of same exact short fit so different.

Did you guys switch seemstress or manufacturing facility. I only bought 2nd pair cause how well 1st pair felt.

Just a great “long” pair of shorts. Not sure why the mainstream trends are short-shorts for guys nowadays, but that stuff is emasculating. No men I know want to have a 9 inch inseam on shorts. These are classic – full length, dare I say, Old School long shorts.

The fabric has a little cotton still, so that’s a bonus too. Again, the trends of short-shorts made of all plastics for your “flex comfort” are just ridiculous anymore. O’Neill has a winner here.

Just ordered a 2nd pair. These are great. Perfect fit – I like my pants snug but not tight and not baggy, Very nice, classic styling. Smooth (but not shiny), light, cool, high quality fabric. (Not that heavy cottony material that makes you feel you’re wearing cardboard.

) The 1% elastane seems to make a difference. Love these. Please bring back Jay Stretch Chino slacks! (I have a few pairs of those, would buy more!) These shorts are a winner, O’Neill!.

These things are so comfortable that they are just about the only kind of shorts I care to wear anymore. They have only been made better by the inclusion of zippered side pockets. I no longer have to worry about my keys making their escape when I sit back and lounge.

With this however comes a warning. do not tell your mates about this feature on your shorts unless you want to be enlisted as the keeper of the keys and what nots for the whole group. As they probably are wearing inferior shorts, because well you know.

So lead em, enlighten em and show them a better way to do shorts and it starts with these Reserve Heather Hybrids.

When I receive the shorts I noticed a very small tag that said relaxed fit. Nowhere on O’Neill‘s website did it say the shorts were relaxed fit! I would not have but then had I known. I wrote to O’Neill to suggest that they advertise with the shorts truly are! They emailed me back suggesting I just return them? This was not what I was asking! They did not even mention that they would make corrections to their website.

Beware of what you purchase from O’Neil, they do not disclose the fit, and apparently, they do not care!.

These are some of the best running shorts I’ve ever bought. Light and breathable, dry very quickly. The tights underneath are just the right length but know that there is no compression. They have a little pocket behind (however it doesn’t have any zippers).

The material is high quality. Very satisfied!.

I was so excited to find a pair of lined shorts. The fit is great for my tall frame and they’re super comfy. So comfy that I wore them around the house. The small v on the side catches easily on things and the thin outside layer has now torn twice.

Disappointed I spent this much money on something that tears so easily and would return if I could.

Since it is winter time and I am a college student, I mainly wear this shorts to workout in and around the house. I have to say it is one of the most comfortable pairs of shorts I have ever owned. I also like the depth of the pockets and the f at that it has a back pocket is very convenient.

Love these shorts. At the moment, they are my favorite shorts to rock. They sit above the knee so you can have that high retro look that you would get with a 5″-6″ inseam pair of shorts. I find myself rolling them once to give them the perfect length.

I love the nike logo they chose to use on these shorts. retro vibessss.

Bought for my son. Absolutely lovely shorts, nice vibrant colour. Would say they come up slightly big, so my son downsized – I would say he’s in between a small & medium, ordered the medium but returned for a small, which were spot on!.

Lululemon has changed the fit, cut, and waist size of these shorts. Purchased this same short 3 years ago and loved them. Went to replace them with a new pair, and found that they are a different short.

The materials feel slightly less luxurious and the fit is changed with a narrower leg, and less generous waist sizing. I’ve tried on the old and new back to back and even though both are the same size (33), they fit and look different on me.

Slightly disappointing. I’ve even went back to another colored pair I bought a year ago and found them to be very different and not as quality.

This is the third time I’ve bought a pair of these shorts as I had been very happy with them in the past. It seemed like LuluLemon was out of stock on these for a while. The new pair seems a bit different that the previous two pair that I had.

For one, the back right pocket is a snap rather than a zip. I appreciated the zipper on that pocket. 2nd: the pocket on the left hip doesn’t lay flat. It’s almost as if the seam is off or something but when I’m standing up, the pocket kind of flares out not laying flat.

I liked the Slim fit Commission Warpstreme 9” much better. These are too baggy and I am not slim but an average build (5’10” tall and 192 pounds). I’ve been looking to buy more slim fit shorts for the 12 months or more and it seems like Lululemon is discontinuing them as each time I check, less sizes and colours are available.

Now only one colour and two sizes available in the slim fit. I should have stocked up a few years ago. ALSO, Lululemon needs to offer more colours in men’s clothing.

These shorts are really nice for a number of reasons. They have the classic Bonobos standard fit with the slide button, which cannot be beat, as well as a really light fabric. I have these in black and they look really great for how light the fabric is.

Typically with fabric this light shorts have a tendency to look silly or cheap and bunch up but these do not. I hope they hold up for a while, I’ll definitely be buying another pair. They’ll be perfect for hot summer days.

I hope to see more shorts released with this same classic standard fit and feel. It’s a bummer more varieties aren’t available as most of the newer releases aren’t really true to what people have come to love about the brand and instead reach towards what’s currently trendy.

Classics shouldn’t die.

shorts are nice style and performance material is great however the sizing is inconsistent. Purchased two shorts in the same size and first pair fit – second totally didn’t – in waist and hips area. This has happened before with pants as well.

If you do purchase – try everything on individually and don’t take for granted that the size measurements are consistent.

Very comfortable but I miss the original. I have been wearing your Bonobos Chino shorts with the Italian snap per at least seven or eight years. I have always had at least five pair on regular rotation throughout the year.

But this year I noticed that you do not sell the classic chino short with the Italian snap. I’m very disappointed.

I love these since its the weather is getting colder and need my little one to be warm through tout autumn. The only thing I would say is what I find is the plain coloured trousers ones in these styles the material is a lot thinner than ones that are patterned or striped.

I wish the plain colour ones material were the same consistency as the striped one. Otherwise I happy with kt and keeping it. H&m don’t sell them individually either.

These shorts run a bit on the small side. They are kind of snug compared to other pants and shorts. I should have ordered the next larger size, but these will do. They seem to be of good construction and material.

I had a couple of pair like these from CABELA’S which lasted me for years. I wear shorts all spring-fall, so they do get a lot of use. The thigh pockets could be a bit deeper – deep enough to hold a cell phone.

They could be located a little farther to the side, and be a little more expandable. The front pocket entries could be a little larger for large hands. I like the elastic waist band, which makes movement more comfortable due to the heavier material.

I purchased the Cabela’s camo shorts a number of years ago and love them. I still have them, and they have held up well. Last year I purchased their substitute ones made by Redhead. They are no match to the previous ones.

Lightweight and stiff material. Bought some more this year and wish I didn’t. The ones from last year are now falling apart. First were the pocket corners, now the beltloops are breaking. I will find another one to buy elsewhere unless Cabela’s goes back to the previous quality/manufacturer.

I like these shorts and am considering buying another pair. I am in contact with puppies and dogs and the material is tough enough to withstand the abuse that has destroyed other shorts. I love having the ample pockets for holding keys, billfold, phone and poop bags.

I do wear them for other than dog play. Even though I am short the inseam stops a couple of inches above the knee, which I like. The feature I like the least but others may appreciate is the elastic waistband.

To me it is slightly too snug and unnecessary as I wear a belt. Why have a waistband when there are belt loops?.

I did not like these short jeans. They felt stiff. Also the fit wasn’t right. The crotch was too long and uncomfortable.

Bought a black pair and tan pair for my husband. He loves them. Says they are comfortable and true to size. He loves the zipper pockets, too.

I cannot say enough about these! These are simply the best training shorts I’ve ever worn. I was nervous about the inseam but the length is just perfect! Not too short not too long. The comfort level on these are 10/10.

They are lightweight and a great DRI-FIT material. The waistband is a great fit as well. The pockets have an easy zipper feature for easy access. When training you will likely have nothing in your pockets but for the in between moments you will likely have your phone.

I was worried that the lightweight material would not be able to withstand the weight of the phone and would be pulling my shorts down along with it. But the shorts hold up. I will be buying more of these!.

These shorts are really well made. Perfect fit on the length of leg. Sit above the knee not to high not to low just perfect. Only thing i would say is there a little tight on the old meat and two veg area but with stretchy material makes its fine.

Pockets are ok would be better with a zip on as phone falls out when ever you sit down especially when your driving. Other than that a really good pair of shorts for the discounted price i got them for.

These shorts were originally bought for running and for that they were absolutely great but I have also took them on holiday to wear around the swimming pool and they were also great for swimming too.

Will be buying another pair but different colour to add to my collection!.

Just really well thought-out. They: – Are a slim, modern design, and not too long. – Are very comfortable with the 4% elastane. – Have a good range of pockets (although I do worry a bit that the side pockets will wear out fast).

– Have 17% nylon which should make them more hard-wearing and look good for longer than 100% cotton. – Sit on the waist, not uncomfortably low down like a lot of pants these days. – Have a decent range of colours.

– Are very attractively priced, especially in the sale. I started by ordering three pairs and like them so much that I’ve just ordered two more.

I bought a different brand of pants years ago and I loved it so I tried to find pants made with the same material. My search led me to Old Navy which had something similar. I had never shopped here before but I decided to give it a try and these pants are amazing! I bought at least 6 pants in all the different colors because I liked it so much.

The price was amazing and I am just so pleased to be wearing them. Since then I have bought a few other things like shirts from Old Navy and I am extremely pleased with both the price and quality of the items I have purchased!!.

RICH! LUXURIOUS! ABSOLUTELY PLUSH! These Shorts are Surprisingly and extremely more expensive feeling and they wear like THEY COST FAR MORE THAN THEY DO! They have a feel of expensive fabric, soft to the touch, smooth and stretches with the skin! They are most definitely my Best Buy so far! I’m BUYING MORE! No question!
