20 Best Shoes For Pickle Ball (2023 Updated)

I decided to try these for Pickleball since I love my Solution Speed FF2 (the first ASICS I have). I really like the comfort and support from these shoes, but they are a bit wider than my original pair.

For anyone with a VERY narrow foot, these might not work, but I do like them a lot. They are also considerably cheaper than my Solution Speed shoes, which was a nice bonus as Pickleball shoes seem to wear out fairly quickly.

BTW, color is brighter than in the photo.

Man, where to begin… I love the arch support and the so much room in the front where the shoe box is. The sneaker gives me a lot of room for the feet to move quickly and stop quickly. The pain under my pain is not there anymore ! I would recommend this 10000%.

The moment I stepped into these shoes on the court, the sensation was unreal, my feet felt so cushioned and pampered, it was amazing. Solely used for playing on the courts hundreds of hours, a year passed when I reluctantly stopped playing with them as the soles got worn out, still they remain comfortable and so I choose to wear them at times for walking.

This is my second pair of these shoes. The first one is about 3 years old and is finally wearing out on the bottom. I ordered the same size in this one and it seems a little longer. At first I thought I would not like that but now I Love it! The cushioned heal hugs your heel tight in a goos way so your feet don’t slip at all.

The little extra length make my toes very happy when I start and stop. I will purchase again. Please keep making this model.

I have a hard time finding shoes (of any kind) that fit, but these are just wide enough, deep enough and still true fit in length that they are perfect! And they play well on the pickleball court. P.

I purchased these shoes to use on outdoor courts to play pickle ball. I purchased these shoes over two months ago and they have proven to be a very supportive shoe, especially for the agility required while playing pickle ball.

I have worn Asics branded shoes for over 20 years and these shoes have proven to be a very good shoe. They provide good grip on court surfaces. I really like the ability to use the two-hole tie method which reduces the pressure across the top of the ties of the shoe, and improve the comfort of the shoe, especially when having to quickly change direction, front-to-back and side-to-side.

I would recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a good supportive outdoor court shoe. They represent very good value, based upon purchase price, for the shoe quality and longevity.

I have these in black and white, size 10. They are a snug fit width-wise so I feel they required a little break-in time. After wearing for only handful of times, the upper is separating from the moulding around the inside toe area where the foot and shoe naturally bends on push off.

This makes them look much older than they are. The grip is good. The lacing system, even on the furthest eyelets, feels inadequate on hard push-offs. it feels like the heel of the shoe will come off.

To compensate, I have to lace these up super tight to feel secure. This makes them less comfortable than I would like. I will continue to wear them until they wear out but would not purchase them again.

Switching from Puma. Got suggested same size as with my current Puma shoes. However, in the size chart, the same 9. 5 US shows as 28cm, while in Puma, 9. 5 US equals 27cm. Tha’s an entire centimeter too long.

Asics chart shows their 8. 5 US is an equivalent of 27cm. This is whole two sizes smaller than true to size. So just some advice for someone switching from Pumas, to not believe their suggestion, but check whatever size in centimeters you use with your Pumas, and chose your Asics size based on that.

I bought these shoes recently because they were very highly rated on three different websites as the overall best women’s shoe for tennis for 2022. They are the most uncomfortable tennis shoe ever! I consistently wear a size 10 medium in athletic shoes and I already have a pair of Asics for tennis that I was trying to replace/upgrade because they’re worn out.

These are very tight in the toe box and tight on the upper heel – really just tight everywhere, but those two areas are the most noticeable. The toe turns up in a way that looked a bit funny when I put them on.

But after reading the reviews, I ignored it. Bad mistake. My feet ached all evening after wearing them to play tennis for a couple of hours. It is not a matter of breaking them in. I will never wear them again.

Such a colossal waste of money.

I have worn these shoes for a dozen times now. I have had previously worn out the gel-dedicate 6 and 7 which fit perfectly at my size 11. 5. unfortunately these are too narrow, and my feet are cramped.

There is reinforcement under the outside of the foot that I can feel when sprinting and definitely when doing lateral movements on the hard court, which become more noticeable the longer I play. Was hoping these would bed in but doesn’t seem to be the case.

I have tried inserting different more plush authoics but still the outside edge of both shoes gives me grief. Nice and tight around the heel, I would personally prefer more cushioning for hard heel strikes when sliding.

This is my favorite Asics out of the two I’ve tried. Gel Res 8 and Speed Solution FF. Unfortunately they run big and by the time I got them in the mail and tried them on, my correct size was sold out in the LE color way of black and silver.

So I sent these back and won’t be replacing them until another color that I like again comes along. They were really comfortable and very supportive from what I could tell. I will never wear one of Asics shoes again that has the hard plastic trusstic system on the insole.

I slipped and fell 3 times in these where I have NEVER slipped in any of my other 12 pairs of hard court tennis shoes. I’ve seen other people fall in that model as well. There is not enough rubber on the inside heal where the plastic and rubber meet, so when you pivot just right, the plastic scrapes the ground and gives way.

They should recall these in my opinion. But, the Gel Res 8’s do not have that problem and I will be getting some again in the future. Too bad I wasn’t informed before I purchased them that they ran big.

When I checked reviews after the fact, everyone is pretty much in agreement about this.

I have fairly wide feet and as the choice for 2E tennis shoes is limited, this was the only one available in the store. I liked the look and the fit is good. However the material used does not allow your feet to ‘breathe’ and it becomes a very smelly mess after a couple of months.

In addition the white turned yellow on me in less then 3 months. Hope this helps future buyers.

After a 3 month wait, my new Eclipsion 4’s arrived and I took them out for a spin. They have a similar padding and fit to the E3, however, I found the toe box/foot bed to be more narrow. After 3 hours of play, my feet were feeling bruised.

A little surprising since I read Yonnex widened the toe box. Maybe they need a little more breaking in. Back to the E3 for serious play for now.

Not appropriate for very hard courts. I owned previous versions of the Yonex Rev4 series which were very good shoes. This version is not as good in absorbing court vibrations and not as speedy when you want to take off.

I used these shoes twice and I parked them to give them away. I bought instead the Wilson Rush Pro which proved very comfortable and quick.

It’s silly to believe that shoes can improve your game but WOW these did. I’ve only used them for three days (about 8 hours worth of pickleball). They are comfortable, bend easier, lightweight, stability is great.

I’d buy them again in a heartbeat. I did go up a 1/2 size over the 1/2 size I usually go up. (I usually wear a 6 1/2 in all shoes but wear a 7 in sports shoes. I tried a 7 on and needed the 7 1/2). The friends in all of my games these three days said I was on fire.

Words I’ve never heard before. I said it must be the shoes. They are pricey but in my opinion, compared to asics and k-swiss, they are comparable. I’m 63, female, play on outdoor courts, rated 3-3. 5 player.

What beautiful trainers they are indeed. BUT! What is wrong with Babolat sizing ???!!! My son wears a regular shoe size 9 ( even quite comfortable in Sketchers size 8. 5) Ordered 9. 5 thinking wearing on thick sport sock he will be fine.

Definitely not fine! Feet had no room to wiggle whatsoever, felt quite tight overall even with a looser lases. So, unfortunately have to return. So, my opinion is , go 1 size up with those , or travel to the store and try before ordering.

Fuller foot – definitely try first!.

I think it runs small and narrow. I was hoping for a little more room. It is comfortable and light. I am a female that wears ankle braces and decided to try a men’s shoe since I couldn’t get any comfortable wide enough shoes in the women’s selections.

I’m on the fence about whether or not to keep this pair so I’ll wear them around the house again tomorrow. I normally wear an 8B width and ordered the 6 1/2 men’s.

Previously I had the NB 996v4 and absolutely loved them. They were so lightweight and had excellent support. Since they are no longer available, I have been on the hunt for another lightweight shoe, which is why I purchased these.

They are very lightweight, which is great. However, these insoles did not last more than 3x playing doubles for about 2 hours each time. The insoles are not glued in, which apparently is a NB practice intended to “accommodate most feet types.

” Not gluing in the insole is probably not a problem as long as the insole is large enough for the shoe, which I don’t think these are. Unfortunately, for sports and activities that require a lot of lateral movements, all of this is a problem, especially when its hot and feet sweat.

The insoles bunched up either at the ball of the foot or the heel, depending on the movement. If you’re looking for a lightweight shoe that you don’t have to worry about the insoles, I’d recommend the Head Sprint Pro 3.

First of all, this shoe is a beautiful looking shoe. Love the color design. But this is not a 2E wide. For perhaps 15 years I only purchased New Balance 2Es. Once I purchased 3 pairs of their highest end shoe at once due to how hard it was to find 2E proper width shoes.

Then something happened at NB with a design change a few years ago that caused me to switch to Yonex wide. I wore those for years & found them to be the highest end shoe until they too changed their design & I could not wear their new design.

You’d think the shoe industry would have a standard where a size 11 is just that. But it seems they do not. So this was a stab at going back to New Balance & it was not successful. I just put them on to see if they would eventually feel alright and simply wore them while sitting on the couch.

I had to pull them off as both feet began aching. And that was just sitting while walking on carpet in my foyer. Can’t imagine 4 hours on a tennis court. I’m a tennis teaching pro so must have comfort in a shoe.

I’ve never ordered a 4E in my life so doubt I’ll be reordering these after returning them. My Nike size D trainers are wider than these. I bought them off the shelf at an outlet store because they “looked” wider to me, even though they were D size.

They were. What has happened to the shoe industry today??.

I bought these shoes for pickleball because I think I needed shoes designed for court sports because I was having heel tendon strain. They are a nice looking shoe and I like that the wide shoes aren’t loose in the heel which typically happens because I really just need a wider toe box.

I wear a 6 1/2 in leather shoes but bought these in 7W to give extra room for socks. I also like that the laces are the correct length and do not come untied. I only gave them 4 stars because not much support in the arch and I do have high arches and high instep so time will tell if they will have enough support.

I only wear them for 2 hours at a time so I think they will be okay since my other shoes have good arch support. I bought a second pair in the other color because I have a hard time finding shoes that actually fit and would like a pair to wear on strictly indoor courts.

I haven’t had a chance to use them on court since I’m breaking them in. The straps on the side go up from the heel on the outside then dive into the shoe hitting the insole just behind the joint in front of the metatarsal.

If you have bunions the inelastic strap that holds your foot in tightens right next to and just behind the bunion. I’ve stretched out that part of the shoe using a shoe stretcher and some rolled up socks so it’s feeling better and doing so doesn’t look like it’s deforming the shape of the shoe much.

The toe box is wide which I appreciate and allows your toes to splay. I like that the arch is low. I bought a pair of Sambas with a high arch and I had to take those off until I could replace the insole.

It has good lateral grip and doesn’t roll much. The sole is stable and doesn’t have much “bounce. “.

These are my first tennis shoes in years after playing too long with running shoes. I have these and the vapor pro and while they both fit great, I chose this cheaper pair to break in first. Initially the back of the shoe caused a little chafing at my achilles but this soon became minimal, and though the shoe laces are a bit hard to tighten ultimately after a little effort the shoe fits great.

excellent traction and stability with movement. I have played about a month with these a few times a week on hard court and the traction is still good! I do preserve them by using them on the court only.

True to size.

I bought these 2 weeks ago and im already having to apply hand sanitizer to my shoe to get to get the grip back up. I do not recommended these shoes if you are a point guard or at all. They are Semi comfortable but that’s not just it.

The color way is good, the size comes as it says but the grip is just dog poop. Please listen to me don’t waste your money.

These are the shoes that knock Nike and Adidas from the mountain-top. Like some extra-terrestrial technology was used in their production. Sell your Lebrons, Kyries and Kobies, it’s Melo-time now. You won’t want to wear any other shoe after a couple days in these, the fit and comfort are unique.

The style and colour set them apart as well.

FINALLY…a basketball shoe with a wide enough toe box!!! I have a wide foot, and can rarely wear a basketball shoe. Certainly not the Lebrons or Retro Jordans. Melo went with a proven shoe company who managed to put the most comfort in a shoe where durability and performance is mandatory.

I first picked up a tennis racket when I was five years old, and by the time I was into my teens I had to accept the fact that I would never find tennis shoes that comfortably fit my feet, which are wide with a high instep.

Throughout my adult life I have become reconciled to having huge hard blisters on the outsides of each of my big toes, and also to my shoes often becoming untied because the center of where the laces tie crosses the high point of my high instep.

Last year I even went to the point of purchasing lace-free tennis shoes from another brand, which were an interesting experiment but had unique problems of their own. So naturally when I looked through the reviews of these shoes I was thrilled to read that they run wide and have the laces set slightly off to the side.

Voila, I ordered a pair and I could not be happier. They fit perfectly (I am usually a 6. 5 but the website said they run large and that a 6 would be right, and it is); they are light but buoyant, and the minute I put them on I knew I will never again have to deal with blisters or shoelace issues.

In addition, for some reason, they feel spongy and scrunchy under my toes, which gives a good feeling of grip and connection. A big thanks to whoever came up with this innovative design! And the color selection is great too! (PS – I cannot yet grade for durability because I only just started wearing these shoes.

I’ve worn Nike my entire life and currently have 3 pairs of Nike shoes for walking and training. I’ve always worn a 9 so ordered a 9 in these. I actually need an 8. 5 instead, which is strange. I have an average/medium foot width and these were too wide on me.

I’d say go a full size down if you’re narrow, 1/2 size if you’re medium and true size for wide feet. Disappointed bc they’re comfy, but they were gaping at the sides too much and slipped up and down my heel when I walked.

The sideways lacing isn’t my favorite- I don’t really see the point, honestly, but I could’ve lived with that had they fit.
