20 Best Shoes For Physical Therapists (2023 Updated)

I needed a good shoe due to being on my feet for long hours. First of all, I purchased a larger size than usual. The shoe originally fitted snug but has loosened up over time. Also, the shoes made a squeaking sound that resembled rubber boots (very annoying) and I was ready to return them.

I called a store that primary sold Alegria shoes and the representative recommended placing a dryer sheet under the insert and the problem was resolved. I believe I would like to try a different product line for my next purchase.

I paid $100+ for a pair of shoe that have not provided the comfort that I require for my feet or line of work.

I own more than 10 pairs of these shoes, from clogs to sandals. and I love every pair! I have a morton neuroma on my ball of my left foot and cannot wear sneakers or anything that might squeeze my toes together.

Thank God for alegria because I’d be wearing flip flops year round! I have never owned more comfortable shoes. If you happen to run into a problem with the shoes squeaking when you walk, you can use baby powder to get rid of the squeak! The soles on the inside come out and I just spread the powder everywhere, and it works!!! No more squeaking!! I can’t say enough about these fabulous shoes and the compliments I get are just unreal!! I am always a size 8. I ordered the 38, which it says is for size 8 to 8. 5. Should have easily fit. WAY too short. I looked up other Allegria clogs on the Q and several reviewers said they had to return and order a full size up.

This should have been mentioned. Vendor would know that sizes were running small/short. The pattern (Ofrenda) was fabulous.

I bought these shoes for my work since the shoes my job supplies completely hurt my feet. And unfortunately these are no help either. My husband gets his shoes from here so I thought I’d give it a shot.

No luck. I am going to try another pair.

These seem perfect for long days on your feet. Unfortunately they become extremely stretched within hours of the first use. The memory foam seems great but really provides no support. I have been experiencing the worst back pain from these shoes.

I had to throw them out or else the pain was too extreme. Not good if you spend hours on your feet.

These are very nice shoes with a nice look. I’ve had 4 pair of Sketchers work shoes- they last a long time and are comfortable for 12 hour shifts.

I had bought these shoes twice already. I work in the food service industry and I need something that wont let slip on wet surfaces. Doesnt work as well in the freezer but I’m only there for a few minutes.

I also like that they lace up. These were not on the website in this color when I ordered my last pair of work sneakers, which were slip on, so I had to settle for a different shoe. I am so happy these are back.

I do see the only difference is that the color between the sole and fabric is black now where it had been gray. I get a full year of use out of these. only one thing I’m not happy with is the fabric on the heal (where you slip your foot into the shoe, doesnt last that long.

It happened to both pairs I had. It wears through and the inside metal or plastic does irritate my heal. I bought heal saver socks to help.

I’m so happy I finally bought these! I get compliments on them all the time. Even my 3-year-old nephew loves them. he took them and and tried hiding them in his room the other day. lol And I totally walked past the exit to the trash compactor at work when I was taking the trash out because I couldn’t stop looking down and admiring them! I work in a restaurant/kitchen and these shoes are fantastic! They’re so easy to clean, slip-resistant, comfortable.

I also LOVE the colors! My uniform is all black, so I need some color. I originally had thought there was white in the print but it’s actually a light blue. It’s so dang pretty! I usually wear a size 8 in Skechers, but since these are have a relaxed fit, I bought them in a 7 1/2 and they fit perfectly! I want to buy another pair already just in case they discontinue this print.

Bought for working in a commercial kitchen by my mum for me to wear at my first job age 15!!! They are comfy!!! and much, much less slippery than a runner which is really important. They are quite chunky looking and mum thought I’d say no but I feel a lot safer wearing them.

They are not quite black, more a sort of bluey black hue, I sometimes waitress too and they are good for this too. They have a wide toe area which make them all the more comfortable as I have a wider foot.

I’m really happy with them.

I bought this shoe in February along with the Stride shoes, where the Stride shoes wasn’t for me this shoe was the answer to my prayers. I work in retail and I was in agonizing pain to the point that I couldn’t walk or stand on my feet for the 4 to 5 hours a day that I worked.

I literally had to quit that job and went back to my old job which was still on retail but not standing on concrete floors, my feet still hurt so I tried these shoe and oh my god what a difference from the first day I wore them to work my feet DID NOT HURT.

I literally work eight hour shifts now and my feet doesn’t hurt. The company recommended that you not wear them the whole day when starting off but I had no choice but to wear them all day, no pain at all.

It’s now August if 2022 and in July my feet started hurting again while wearing this shoe which I attributed to my foot problems, flat feet, bunions and overpronation and I could see that my shoe was wearing unevenly, so I purchased the Kuru Quantum this time, where I like the Quantum, it’s not as good has the Kinetic.

I would definitely recommend the Kuru Kinetic shoe to anyone that has severe foot problems. If there was one thing I would change on the Kuru Kinetic and other shoes it would be to put a heel tag on the back of the shoe, so it would be easier to slide into without having to unlace it so much, I found that my shoe would bend in on the heel as I tried to put it on, but I still give this shoe and overwhelming five stars.

I have several issues with my feet & unfortunately no cures. But for the first time in 3 years I can walk heel to toe like you’re supposed to. I still have pain, but it’s manageable. I do have 1 spur from plantar fasciitis, complete neuropathy in both and finally got to see the broken bone I’ve been walking on for 41 years now.

Yes that’s correct. Diehard fast pitch softball player, finished that season & played for 2 more. But for the past 3 years I have no words to describe the amount of pain my feet have been in & still are.

But these are finally high enough they don’t touch my toes & again I can actually stand on my heel with the spur. I will definitely recommend these to anyone in need of shoes for issues like this. I can’t thank those of you enough who were so helpful to me & so quick to reply to my questions.

And for paying attention to all of my issues and taking the time to send me a link showing just the shoes that were going to be best for me. If I could afford another pair I’d get them. And I will as soon as I’m able.

I wish they had a little more cushion but that’s most likely just my feet. Lol I’m praying I win a pair, but for now I’m just so happy to finally have a little comfort in what feels like a lifetime of issues.

Having already purchased two pairs of the Kuru Quantum sneakers, I was looking into a supportive shoe as well that wasn’t a sneaker. The Quantum helped me with my toe numbness and knee/back pain, so based on the good reviews, I decided to try the Kinetic shoe.

I liked these so much that I purchased a second pair. I can say that ALL of them are nothing short of AWESOME! Yes, they are a little pricey but when you see them in person, you can tell the quality of the workmanship and materials that go into making them.

That, plus how amazing they feel on your feet, which most definitely reduced the pain I was experiencing, make them well-worth the price. If I had to state one complaint, it’s that they are a little warm and not very breathable.

My feet sweat wearing them and I think adding some holes into the leather would help with this. But overall, the arch support is excellent, the toe box is very roomy, and the shoes are extremely comfortable.

I am a consistent Size 7 regular width and these were right on the money.

I have purchased this shoe maker before with outstanding results. Unfortunately this 2nd pair is painful to wear. I tired on 3 different occasions to wear and tried different sock – all to now avail.

The toe box of the shoe pinches and pokes my toes. The other Propet shoes have been wonderful so I don’t understand the issue with this pair of Propet shoes. I have sent comments/questions to the contact form on the Healthy Feet Store website 3 times now and have heard nothing back.

The lack of response by the Healthy Feet Store and the painful shoes makes me extremely disappointed all the way around. I’m sure this shoe is a good shoe for someone else.

I ordered 2 pair this time around and really love both. The ‘stability fly’ was a second choice because the other shoe I ordered was out of stock. What a happy substitute! Fits/feels great and no problem with orthotics fitting into the footbed.

I do have to comment that I love the service from the healthy feet store. I received an email telling me that my first choice was not available, called customer service, conversed with the most helpful woman from Lancaster and got really great shoes very quickly.

No problems with the credit card refund, everything was a breeze. Thank you.

These shoes are very comfortable and pretty! I bought the same brand but a little different last time and loved them also. Worth every penny! I have bad feet, right one mostly! I have fat pad problems, my feet swell when I’m working so extra wide is wonderful, room enough for my toes, no squishing the side of my big toe! I work on my feet on concrete.

It’s sad that shoes that are specifically made for nurses are sooooo uncomfortable. I’m in nursing school and spent a say in clinical standing, which of course is to be expected. Only thing is, by the 5th hour my legs were hurting and I just wanted to sit down.

Felt like heaven when that finally happened during lunch. After lunch the standing continued and by the end of the day my legs were on fire. Didn’t help that I had a hour and a half commute in the middle of rush hour to pick up the kiddos.

I was miserable. The insoles aren’t soft and plush like most memory foam insoles. I wasted my money. Whatever, I’ve got regular gym shoes now.

I work in a quick service restaurants for over 6 years now, and these shoes are literally THE BEST! I have high arches on my feet, so I put in my own carbon fiber sole insert into them; perfect! I walk over 8 miles a day and am constantly walking on slippery floors in the back kitchen.

These shoes do a better job than every ‘slip resistant’ pair of shoes I have ever owned. I am a size 6. 5 and they are perfect, except there is extra space in front of my toes. but I didn’t realize until a month later when my feet were getting stepped on accidentally and I did feel a thing! They are perfect for me! DO NOT GET SKETCHERS! I PROMISE you that you will never go back; nurse mates for life!!.

I want to start with the shoe is Perfect! It is well made, it fits perfect! It looks fantastic! I have ALS, AND I wear AFO’s, I need a substantial shoe to accommodate my braces! This shoe could not be any better for my situation! The width is perfect, the size is perfect! The shoe is very light weight, which is A+ for my braces! I want to say, anyone that wears AFO’s.

I had ordered these these shoes 3 years ago and I absolutely loved them. They fit really well and were so comfortable. But now the design has changed. They are tight and the toe is no longer rounded but cut on a diagonal.

The quality is also a bit cheaper. I’m very disappointed. I’m going to order a size up and see if that works. I love the Klogs brand but they should stick with what originally worked! Perhaps this style will work for someone else who has shorter toes!.

I wear these for 12 hr shifts at our hospital and also wear them daily for errands, out to eat and just about everywhere. I have 4 colors. brown, black, oiled black and the tooled brown. I cannot say enough good about the arch support, cushioning and comfort! They look great with dress pants, scrubs and jeans.

I have severe foot pain due to injuries earlier in my life and with these I walk 4 – 5 miles a night on my job and am pain free! Absolutely love them!.

I purchased this style because description said it was appropriate for high arches, but apparently not for arches as high as mine. I am hopeful the elastics will get stretchier with time because they are really cute and otherwise well fitting.

I have worn white sneakers/tennis shoes regularly (almost if not daily) for over 40 years. I purchased my first pair of Propet Stability Walker – Men’s Walking Shoes in 2018 for plantar fasciitis that was severely painful.

Within days of wearing them, my pain was gone and I was pain free and walking int eh most comfortable sneaker I have ever worn. I have purchased a second pair and awaiting restocking so that I can purchase my third pair for vacation this summer.

Also, I am still wearing both of my previous pair and they are still comfortable at 3 and 4 years of wear. I will always use Healthy Feet Store to buy my shoes from now forward.

Bought for daily wear. Not nearly as comfortable as the LifeWalker I had before. Rigid, not flexible feeling. Not sized right for a 10. 5 EEE, too narrow. Already caused sores on little toes; only wearing because old shoes worn out and can’t afford another pair while these are returned.

Insoles feel nonexistent.

I’ve been wearing new balance sneakers for ever. Their quality has gone downhill. So start the journey for a new brand of supportive sneaker. Propet is it! Very comfortable, supportive and reasonable priced.

I bought these in the white and grey. The grey pair looks more like a hiker then sneaker. These are made the same way and I love them. Tho only thing that was confusing is the width sizing. I’m a 4e.

They don’t have an option for that. Had to go with the 5E width. Bye bye new balance.

I bought the chili red; it’s cute and funky. The shoes are rubber with a suede strip coming up from the heel. I’m finding them quite comfortable and I have sensitive feet so I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about.

I gave it four stars rather than five because I want to walk around the house all day to make sure the comfort lasts. I am in the Chicagoland area so I do understand why Arizona might not be the ideal place to wear them.

You can feel their warmth; I think I’m going to really love them when it gets cold around here.

I thought these looked so cute, until they came in the mail. They’re rubber! I thought they were woven. They’re way too warm to wear here in Arizona. They’re going back.

The shoes are too large and uncomfortable. Had to return. Make sure you size down. I usually buy 7.5, but this time it had to be 6.5

Need a bit more guidance on how this is supposed to help my feet; I don’t notice anything different while using it or after using it.

I like these a lot. Haven’t had them long enough to know their effect on daily pain, but they feel wonderful when I’m using them.

If you are buying for fitness look elsewhere. The only reason I am not returning is because I bought them for looks not working out. There Is absolutely no comparison of quality between these and ballistic trainers.

I foresee the leather eyelets ripping out. The very bottom eyelet is just rubber that is stretching. I got an 11 in both and they are extremely close this one may be a tiny bit shorter and wider in the toe box area.

Will be the last pair of Reeboks I’d buy without seeing them, seems like they are running on a name but I have been disappointed in both pairs I have bought of theirs. Soles are cheap looking with holes that let the white and black show through on bottom.

Premium price, not premium shoe. Just my opinion I’m not gonna put them through any sort of torture test. Love the way they look though.

This is hands down the best version of the Nano they’ve had in quite some time. Super comfortable and versatile. I use it during regular lifting sessions, cross training, and even just for the occasional walk.

Only two things I would rate negatively on these shoes. The first, the laces are too short (if you lace through all the openings, which I do), and the second being the lace loops fray easily. They haven’t torn or anything yet and I’ve been using them daily since June.

I took notice more recently as I’ve been using the rower more and the strap on the footrest definitely plays a factor in that as well. But otherwise, great shoe.

Just ordered my first pair of Nano X2s for all around HIIT, CrossFit, and weight workouts. They look good and seem well made, unfortunately they are HUGE. I wear, and ordered, a 9. 5. There is so much extra room in the toe and heel, it feels like I’m wearing 11s.

Went to Reebok’s website to see what they had to say and found this statement, “Runs large. Based on returns, we recommend you size down. (If you usually wear size 7, order 6. 5). ” My bad for not doing more research, but for those of you considering these shoes please take notice before ordering.

I usually wait a few days to wear and review a product, but these shoes. they feel as comfortable as they look. I’ve experienced balance issues in other shoes (partly owing to equilibrium issues), but this particular pair kept me upright and steady.

The wide width is roomy, and I have no worries about these shoes if my feet swell up – they can handle it. I strongly recommend this pair if you have problems with balance – this isn’t my first rodeo with Propét and they’ve never let me down, but this pair of shoes has me wondering if I didn’t pay enough for them.

These fit better than expected–have purchased Propet sneakers before, but they didn’t fit very well, could only wear thin socks and they were almost too short-lengthwise. But these fit comfortably, and the price was great! I didn’t give it 5 stars because I haven’t worm them much so I don’t know how the “sock” opening will last.

Unfortunately, this sneaker did not work well for my particular foot. I need something with a bit more cushioning on the bottom. And it was truly a narrow width shoe, which would’ve been great, but not for my foot.

I have flat narrow feet that have had numerous surgeries. The quality and styling of the shoe were excellent. I think these would have been “keepers” if I had normal feet!.

The best nursing shoes! HIGHLY recommend. I am a CNA and I am on my feet and walking around for 8+ hours at a time. I was initially wearing a pair of Nike shoes, but those hurt my feet so I ordered (highly rated) inserts for them.

Still, they hurt me feet a lot just a couple hours into my shift. With these shoes, I can walk and stand with no pain during my whole shift! I also give showers as a CNA, and my shoes and socks used to get wet.

These shoes are definitely waterproof, and my feet have stayed dry! I bought the white sneaker style pair, and the material also makes it very easy to keep them clean. I was a little hesitant to buy because they are relatively cheap, but decided to give them a shot after reading some other reviews, and they exceeded my expectations! If you are suffering from foot pain and you are on your feet a lot, these are a must buy.

Great price on these shoes. I have purchased this brand and style for my last 7 pairs. Good fit and perfect for walking to exercise or just everyday wear.

Shoes arrived quick, wore one pair and within an hour, my feet hurt so much across the instep. The width says extra wide fit but it didn’t matter how much I loosened the laces, the toe box area of the shoe is not extra wide.

I use these as work shoes. They have out lasted other big name brand athletic shoes when it comes to the rugged footwork I put them through and they’re comfortable. At work I average 10-12 miles a day of walking.

I wouldn’t suggest them for construction but when it comes to warehouse work they’re great for me.

Great shoes wore them the first time today. After a two hour long shopping trip with my wife and on my feet the entire time. I didn’t have any pain or discomfort like you’d have with new shows on. Arch support gets kudos for that.

Bought these for my husband who just recently has Plantar, (I call it fishyitis ) but his foot felt so much better. The pain was bearable. I ended up buying another pair. These are very lightweight.
