20 Best Shoes For Achy Feet (2023 Updated)

I bought these as an alternative to my Dansko clogs that I wear to work every day. Honestly these are SUPER comfortable and I stand at work in ONE place for the most part, for 10-12 hours at a time. There are only two downsides I have discovered: 1) they do not give me the same height as my Danskos which makes wearing certain pants a problem 2)they are a tad slippery on the bottom.

doesn’t matter for me because I basically stand in place at work or walk on slip resistant mats, but for people that are constantly on the move this may be problematic. To be honest they are also on the casual side.

So it’s not like it’s easy to pair with real dress pants, but they work great with khakis or scrubs. I actually found these to be WAY MORE COMFORTABLE than some of the sketchers “work” shoes. which I’ve actually had to return they were so uncomfortable despite having “memory foam.

” These shoes have soooooooo much more padding and cushion, which is great for spending long hours on your feet. I love how lightweight they are too. I have a short, wide foot, and the wide width fit great! Thank you sketchers for making these in wide!!!.

Love love love the red color! I wear 8Narrow in street shoes and know from experience that not all Skechers work for me. I thought that this style in 8Medium might work because they looked to be cut high enough over the instep to work and I HAD to have red.

Sadly, it does not fit. Shoe is waaay too wide but surprisingly it is way too long. I likely will return for black in 8Narrow although that may still be too long. I love Skechers GoWalk, have several pair and know that when I get the right size for me the shoe feels great and provides excellent cushioning for a problem foot.

Impressed that Skechers is offering a narrow width; a little thrown by the extra length, tho, as length has never been an issue. I gave this one 3 stars because of the sizing issues; it is still a GoWalk with great cushioning and comfort.

I had a bunionectomy and had an extremely difficult time trying to find shoes that fit with an adjustable strap to accommodate the wideness of my foot. Thank goodness for OrthoFeet Hydra-Brown woman’s sandal that provided much needed arch support and soft foot bed comfort.

These look so cute and are incredibly comfortable! I never thought I’d find a sandal with both those qualities. Since wearing this brand, my foot pain has reduced by about 80%. I’m a very happy!

They look a little bit prettier in the adverts and I’m not sure why the green writing on the soles is necessary, but they do look good and I plan to buy another style of OrthoFeet.

I been researching this product for sometime now , when I seen Alex smith on an advertisement I was finally push over the top,to make a purchase. I suffer with a serious bad back,neck, and I also have RSD! My legs are always in pain 24/7,so I am always looking for something to help with the pain/getting some relief.

Up to this moment nothing has helped ,there is nothing out on the market as far as medication or a machine of any kind that is a cure,or that is made to relieve pain. So with that said I decided to make this purchase and give another product a chance to see if it would help with a little release from the leg pain and back pain.

My purchase came in on a Saturday about a week ago; the day they came my legs were really bad with pain I was having trouble walking ect. I unpacked the flip flops and right away put them on; with in minutes I was receiving relief from my pain ,the longer I wore them the better my legs felt, it was a unbelievable moment with in a short period of time I was experiencing NO PAIN ! I have been looking for anything over the years and god knows I spent so much money over the years looking for anything that would give me even a little relief; nothing ! Until now it has been a week ,maybe a little over a week and the longer I have these Oofos flip flops on the better my legs, feet ,and my back felt better; and my leg pain is pretty much non existent! I still can’t believe it; so I took them off and wore my regular sneakers / shoes and just the opposite started happening my leg pain came back with in minutes I couldn’t believe the difference versus with and without my Oofos flips flops on my feet it was a MOMENT! I am pretty sure I finally found some relief after 25YEARS of suffering with this RSD pain let alone my back issues ! I am still thinking or looking over my shoulder waiting for the bomb to drop and this great relief I been experiencing was just a temporary thing! So far as I stated earlier I do not want to take these Oofos flips flops OFF! The only issue I have is I am kicking myself where the sun don’t shine for not purchasing these Oofos flip flops a lot sooner! I’m a huge fan of oofos and right now, due to foot injuries, they are literally the only shoes I can wear. I bought the oomg eezee low shoes with great anticipation but my hopes were somewhat dashed.

They have the same amazing cushion as my beloved oofos sandals but that’s where the similarities end. I usually wear a 7 and ordered a size 8 based on the reviews but they were still too short and too tight.

Oofos was wonderful in handling the exchange for a size 8. 5. The 8. 5s are still super snug on my narrow feet but not uncomfortably so and the length was right so I kept them. The problems for me were the back of the shoe which comes up really high on my Achilles, the top of my foot where the opening of the shoe hits and the seams across my little toes where the elastic meets the rubber.

The shoes rubbed blisters in those places. Wearing socks the next time prevented blisters but made the shoes too tight and wasn’t the look I wanted. I now use tape and/or moleskin to cover the blister-prone areas but it’s not ideal.

I do have sensitive skin so they might not rub blisters on other people’s feet but if the toe box were a little wider and the top and back edges were a little looser these would be the perfect shoes.

The cobblestone streets of Europe have ruined long expensive trips for me before, so I was worried about an upcoming trip to NYC. And although the streets in New York are asphalt and concrete, I was still worried that a week of heavy walking would wreck my feet.

My wife thought I was crazy when I packed 5 pairs of high-quality shoes, just to give me options, but I’m so glad I did. I brough expensive Adidas sneakers, Sorel boots, Merrell Moab’s and Mocs, in addition to my OOFOS.

I wore the other shoes the first 3 days, thinking they were the best option for walking streets. But I came out of that with sore and achy feet, with blisters forming on the pads. At one point I even broke out the moleskin, but that did not help at all…I was struggling and felt like staying in the hotel.

So, on day 4 of 7 I finally switched to my last option, my OOFOS EEZEE low show, and suddenly my feet were heeled (pun intended)! My feet felt so great the entire trip after that! I got rid of the moleskin and didn’t notice any issues once I switched to OOFOS.

My big concern is would they hold up to that much walking. Not only did they hold up with 10 miles of walking per day, but they still look new! Both my soles and my soul are happy that I was able to enjoy my trip, and not be hobbled by my bad feet.

I will never go on another trip without my OOFOS!!!.

I have had 8 pairs of Oofos thong sandals, one pair of clogs. The best and why I continued to buy them was the first pair. Others were never as good, and the material, quality, and craftsmanship has deteriorated since.

Esp. this last pair, feet stuck to them, never experienced that before, getting a little better with wear, poor workmanship, smaller than 4 other pairs in same size. You can tell they are outsourced and the manufacturer has decreased standards or it’s a different manufacturer.

Even the 2 thongs had slightly different navy color. Look at the cut out triangle on sides, jagged edges in the newer pairs. Older pairs smooth. Not important but it tells me the quality is not as important as in the past and that things have changed.

When I stepped into my first pair, it was like walking on my dog’s orthopedic bed, no sensation of pain or hardness, like walking on a sandal made entirely of memory foam or better. Haven’t enjoyed that since but because they are supposed to have 37% more cushioning, I continue to buy them.

Customer service is unresponsive. I prefer to buy them from Amazon when available due to lackluster, unconcerned customer service. The clogs never felt as cushioned as the thongs, but I needed a closed toe.

I tried the all enclosed shoe but they were terrible in cushioning and I felt like I would fall over due to them pushing me over like rocking or something. They went back.

I wanted to give it a little bit before reviewing and now it’s been about 2 months and I can confidently say I really like these flip flops. I am generally not a fan of flip flops or any kind of backless shoes but my feet had been getting pretty sore and I’d heard good things so I wanted to give recovery flip flops a shot.

I decided on this brand and am really pleased that I took the chance. I normally wear a 6. 5 in women’s and went with a 7 so they would be a little loose if anything. They ended up perfect. My foot feels comfortable and there is no spill over.

At first the thong in-between my toes was slightly uncomfortable but I think that was because I had not worn any thong type shoe in many years. I quickly got used to it. I also found that not gripping it too tight and letting the shoe kind of float on my foot really helped.

I don’t like driving in any backless shoe so I only wear these around the house or running errands and stuff when someone else is driving so I can’t say that I’ve worn them a ton but certainly enough to know now that I love them and they are helping my feet feel less tired.

I put them on after work pretty much every day to give myself a break and it’s helping. One thing to note is that if you go with a darker color, dirt and dust will show more. I love the color so I don’t regret my choice though.

The foot bed is a kind of grippy rubber which is great for not having your foot sliding around but it might make dirt stick more too.

I have been an OOFOS wearer and fan for about 5-6 years now. I wish I would have found them sooner- BUT at least I found them! I had suffered terrible foot and leg issues for years and being in the Army required to be quite hard on your body with a ll the physical demands, so I was constantly in therapy trying to repair damages and keep up with all the miles and abuse my body had to endure.

I was in therapy for years and have tried everything from massage, supplements, physical therapy, dry needling, acupuncture, you name it I had done it! I also had tried all sorts of different footwear to no avail.

Well I finally came across OOFOS online and I was hesitant to purchase due to not being able to try them firsthand, but I figured why not! When they arrived, I was so impressed and figured the walking on cloud feeling would not last and it might make my issues worse.

Can I just say- I am so glad I pulled that trigger and made that purchase!!! I was able to get back to running pain free after wearing these shoes and my issues have subsided. I always have a pair and wear them regularly.

I am hoping they will come out with a waterproof boot so I can do my farm chores in them. Thanks OOFOS for helping my body heal itself! I will always be a return customer.

So, I’m getting back to running after a break of several years due to a torn meniscus and MCL tear. I’ve been mostly cycling and weight training, but had previously run a couple marathons, and love 15-20km runs.

Needed a new set of shoes to start back on a 5k running plan, and the Hokas got good reviews. Shoes are relatively light for so much cushioning, and are really comfortable. The drop is great, and about the same as my old trail shoes, despite the bulk of them.

Midfoot strike is relatively easy to achieve, despite the high profile. Toe bed is wide enough for me, and it fits nicely in the heel with no slippage. Only downside is it isn’t as flexible as my previous trail shoe or previous road shoes, but that is offset by the great cushioning, which has meant that I’m not feeling that much soreness in the first half-dozen runs.

My daughter recommended HOKA shoes. I am a very hard fit for shoes so I was skeptical. However, I really needed a good pair of shoes. My feet, hips, and back hurt a lot when working where the floor is cement.

I chose Arahi because they offered wide width. I wear from a size 6, 6. 5 to a 7 depending on the shoe. When I first tried the HOKA shoes on I thought I should have gone up a half size. A little hard to get on my left foot (it swells worse than my right foot) but I didn’t want to send them back so I decided to try wearing them.

I was able to work being on my feet most of the day on a cement floor. I usually can hardly walk halfway thru working an event but these shoes made all the difference for me! When it’s time for another pair I may go up a half size but the snug fit is not bothersome nor does it cause discomfort.

I am very happy with these shoes.

I have been a faithful Arahi wearer for years now. I purchase a new pair every 4-6 months. I’m a medsurg nurse and I’m literally on my feet 12-14 hours a day. I don’t know what Hoka did, but this model, the 6, is killing my feet.

The wide doesn’t feel wide and the toe box rubs my toes all day. I searched endlessly for the model 5 and I can’t find them anywhere. Also, the heel feels like more cushion that wasn’t there before. If I want cushion, I’ll buy the Clifton or the Rincon.

This is a stability shoe and it just feels awful. Also, the back of the shoe sits lower on the back of the foot. It makes it slip in the heel. Please go back to the previous models. This is so disappointing as it’s so hard to find stability shoes.

Also, give more love to more color options and more wide options in those colors. The stability shoes don’t get half the love the other Hoka models do.
