20 Best Shoes Brands For Toddlers (2023 Updated)

The pink shoes get dirty way too easily. My first grader has had these only a few months and I’m disgusted by how yucky they are. They look so old! The shoe has held up otherwise but I’m not very happy nor would I recommend the pink.

I ordered the pink ones. They are very comfortable and easy for my child to put on herself but after 2 days they are very dirty. The dirt is ingrained in the fabric. Have tried everything to clean them.

She only wore them to nursery. Very disappointed. Who wants to wear dirty looking trainers!.

I purchased these shoes as a gift and they were a big hit. They are super cute with fun colors but also have a handy finger pull on the back of the shoe that gives the little ones the ability to pull on their shoes.

They were true to size, my toddler wears an 8C and that’s what I purchased, fit great!.

My son wanted red sneakers for his birthday on February 22nd. He’s had them for two months but you’d think he’s owned them for a year. They’re falling apart. He probably wears them 4-5 days a week. He’s not unreasonably hard on them.

I mean his other sneakers he’s worn a lot more still look great. They just don’t hold up to a 6yo boy.

These are terrible quality. Not my usual experience with Nike. My son wore them for one day and ripped a hole right through them. The material is thin and cheap. Poorly designed as well. Would definitely not recommend.

These Bare Steps Cocoa Jr Boots are the second pair I have purchased for my granddaughter. The first pair were last year when she was about 18 months old. She loved them and wanted to wear them all the time which tells me they were very comfortable on her little feet.

She is now 2 and has obviously outgrown the original pair which held up so well that they were passed on to one of her younger friends. I hope when she outgrows the Little Kid sizes that there is a similar fitting boot for her.

This is my second purchase of these boots for my toddler girl! She was around 16 months last fall when first purchased and she loved them! This year she’s a few months over 2 and I had to order the same boots for this fall! They are so comfortable! She loved wearing them! They are perfect for fall/early winter! Easy to get on/off! And they are really cute!.

Beautiful shoes that my daughter loves, but they are not made to the same quality standards as other Merrell shoes. After less then a week, the shoes looked very old and used. They have held up very well in regards to the overall design, but the materials they are made from are lacking on other levels.

Makes me question getting another pair like this for my daughter as she gets older.

My son wore these for just 2 weeks (on and off) and the insoles started to peel apart. Also, the shoe has natural fringe, however the toes of the shoe have much more “Fringe” coming out than they should.

(like actual stitching that is holding the toes together) there will most likely be a hole showing soon. I brought these concerns up with customer service with no luck getting these issues resolved. They also wouldn’t respond on the insole issue, just the fringe.

I sent 3 emails with pictures of both the toes of the shoe and the insoles and they still only would respond to the fringe issues as being apart of the style and they wouldn’t replace the shoe. I purchased 3 pairs for my kids going back to school.

my son’s shoes are the only ones with these issues. So. maybe not the best quality for busy boys?? at $50 I thought they’d last longer and expected the customer service to better than what it is. If you have issues with your shoes, be prepared for disappointment when trying to resolve.

I really would have been happy with replacement insoles. they should last longer than 2 weeks. :(.

I am an adult woman with a small foot and I usually wear a 6. 5 or 7 in shoes, so I used the EU measurements to guide me to the right size. A women’s size 6 is 37 in eu and youth size 6 is a 37 in eu so I took a chance.

They arrived and fit great with some toe room but not too loose. They are fantastic. I am on my feet 12 hours a day and the more I wear these the more comfortable they are. The kids really like the robots on my shoes.

And the first time I wore these I got my feet soaked with water at work and they dried out super fast and didn’t stink. These are outstanding shoes. Definitely getting more in the near future.

I absolutely love they style of hey dudes but there are no half sizes. I generally wear a 7 but they were too big so I sent them back and got the 6. My toe touches the tip in a 6 and makes it a little uncomfortable after a while of wearing them but in a 7 they flip on my feet.

The size of the shoe may not be a problem. could be the width making them feel so big. Tightening them works but the strings look silly because they become too long. Even though they are a little too small they are very comfortable in all other aspects! For people not in between sizes I highly recommend! I love that they can be washed as well.

I assumed the inside of this shoe would be lined or designed to be soft and smooth to wear without socks (there’s nothing in the online description mentions the inside of the shoe). I wanted a shoe for my almost walker that I could use without socks since both are new to him and it too hot outside for socks.

The inside of this shoe is rough and there are exposed seams that would annoy anyone, let alone a baby wearing shoes for the first time. Not for me. But well made, sized right, and cute. The bottoms are super soft – also not ideal for my almost walker, they are so slippery on our hard floors (I didn’t consider this whole shopping).

I’m not returning them because eventually he will wear them, good value, good shoe, love that they are washable (Selling feature for me) and don’t stink (cheaper shoes tend to do that), love the ankle support and feet flexibility.

My son has balance issues so this helps.

I purchased a pair of 13m SRT RYKER it is comfortable and perfect for the required uniform shoes; also nice looking at first. But school started Mid August by the end of October one shoe started to come apart on the side and on the other shoe, the leather faded really bad in the front and back part.

fortunately I had purchased other styles but this one seems to be my son’s favorite and I really don’t want to buy another SRT RYKER.

I ordered these shoes specifically because they were advertised as having a longer strap to fit toddlers with leg braces. However, when we got them, I saw that the strap while long enough to accommodate braces, only has velcro on the ends, which means it still has to be pulled all the way through to the smallest fit to securely close the shoe so they can walk in it.

The velcro needs to extend the length of the strap in order for these shoes to actually be adaptable. If you are looking for shoes to fit a toddler who wears braces on their ankles or legs, these shoes will not work.

It’s really hard to find something cute that does fit my toddler, so I decided to keep them, but I will have to attach more velcro myself to the strap. I will be ordering shoes from a different brand from now on.

These shoes are more expensive than the other sneakers, and there is no actual difference between them and the regular, nonadaptable shoes sold by Stride Rite. Yes, the insoles can be removed for a wider fit, but so can the insoles from the regular sneakers.

So, it seems to me that Stride Rite is really just ripping off parents who are looking for something to fit their children with special needs.

My grandson has wide feet. Very wide feet. As Stride Tite knows or can see, I have bought multiple shoes for him in hopes that at least one pair would fit him. None ever did. I believe I only returned one pair of all of my purchases.

I have donated all the others. They FINALLY came up with an extra wide shoe for cases such as his. I bought thus pair while holding my breath and when they arrived, my DIL immediately tried them on his little wide foot.

They fit PERFECTLY! There are so many children just like him and so many others with a prosthetic foot or a foot deformity or inconsistency and now they too can wear a beautiful shoes that actually fit! Thank you, thank you, thank you!.

I purchased these for my 5 year old son after he wore out his last pair of Stride Rite light-up sneakers. One of the two lights stopped flashing after the first week. It went out entirely shortly thereafter.

I contacted customer service, and they initially responded requesting a video of the defect. I sent in a video, and heard nothing back. I even sent a follow-up e-mail asking for a status update on an exchange or replacement.

Since then, the other shoe’s flashing lights have stopped working. My son asks every day he wants to wear the shoes whether we’ve heard back from customer service (No, we haven’t. Instead, we got this e-mail to review the product).

I love skechers sneakers for my kids not just because they are affordable and the quality is great. The microspec max sneakers are very light & comfortable. My son needed a new pair and had to be skechers, purchased a size 2.

Skechers are just perfec, they aren’t too narrow like many other sneakers, since he started wearing shoes he never liked them to be tight ,has to have some extra space. I had found out that with skechers he never complaints.

My son loves these shoes and I purchased another pair at his request. However, the first pair was purchased three months ago and look completely worn out. The sole of the shoe near the top has worn completely down.

There have been other brands of shoes that my son has worn that has lasted much longer. While the quality isn’t great, my son finds them to be comfortable.

I bought these shoes for my 4 yr old son. I feel Skechers run a little on the big side, but that’s fine because he can grow into them. The velcro strap makes it easy for him to strap them on himself.

And they are easy to slip his foot into (unlike all of the Adidas and Nikes he tried on). But, they don’t hold up very well for rough and tumble boys who drag their toes and kick things.

I bought these shoes for my 12 year-old son who claims that they are the, “most comfortable shoes ever!” They look great and he only wants to wear this pair of shoes currently, so hopefully they will last for a bit.

So far, they seem durable, and he loves them. He wants a similar style in a different color, and I’ll probably get them based on his experience with these. Highly recommended.

I have bought a total of three pairs. One last school year, one for this coming school year and an extra pair because my son plays football so he is rough on shoes. These we love because they are durable and look classically adorable with shorts and a polo or Tshirt.

I bought these shoes for my 8 year old grandson. He loves them. He still needs a little practice making a tight bow, but he is making good progress. The key is that they are comfortable. He was really attached to his old Merrell sneakers, but he had worn them out.

I struggled to find sneakers for which he would be willing to throw the Merrells away. These New Balance were the answer.

I’ve been a Air Max 90s fan since middle school, and when I seen Nike was bringing them back I was super excited! These are one of the classics that every Nike or sneaker lover appreciates. I bounced between a few colorways before ultimately deciding on these because of the laces haha.

They really are so much nicer than the pictures show! They came all laced up and ready to go, I just looked them to my liking and that was that. As usual my only complaint here is the width, they seem to run much more narrow than other same size sneakers.

I have yet to find any and offer a wide width so I order a size up and that usually does it. If you’ve never owned a pair of these I would absolutely suggested recommend that you give them a shot! Aside from being stylish attractive and comfortable theses sneakers just don’t die.

I may or may not have a shoe problem here and have numerous pairs of air maxes some eight or nine years old that still look pretty much new. They do not wear down easily, they are easy to clean and keep up with and even when they do finally get a worn look to them they still look good and Support your feet so you’re not in pain at the end of the day.

They’re great for running or any physical activity as well as every day more relaxed wear. I will definitely buy more of these shoes and I have recommended them many times to many people. These are absolute must haves for any sneaker heads, athletes or Nike fans.

These shoes are great overall in terms of comfort. However, I first saw these shoes in the adult size, in which they looked amazing and so did the material they used. I then noticed they werent in my size so I had to buy them from the “big kids” section.

The material used is completely different. They look faded. They are no where near as nice looking as the adult size. The difference in price is $20. enough to go from a nice and new looking pair of shoes to shoes ive had and used continuously for over 2 years.

Nike completely threw quality out the window.

I absolutely love these kicks. They are So comfortable, I literally wear them all day. I am on my feet at work 12 hours a day and I also have diabetes so the well-being of my feet is very important to me.

When I saw the dry erase part I was hoping the words on the shoes were suggestions, even though the shoes were like that in every picture. They were not! Lol. If you like them you will be happy. My daughter (creative type, freshman in HS) loves them.

I am leery of her coloring them though as I don’t know how well they will clean–everyone has seen those dry erase boards covered in ghosts of lectures past. they do not come with dry erase markers (special or otherwise) which might have made me feel a little better about her drawing on them.

Regardless, they are hers to do with as she pleases.

I have ran in Vomero 12, Vomero 13. Both versions had the same issues, way to much plush on the heel, it felt strange the longer I wore the shoe. I wanted something more firm. Overtime, the plush deformed at the heel making the shoes uneven.

Regardless, I covered more ground in the Vomero. The positives out way the negative. It was easy to shift running speeds on the fly without injury when intervaling. Personally, I would like to see the Vomero make a comback.

I skipped version 14 of the Vomero and gave the Nike infinity a world which was awesome, the react foam didn’t deform over time and maintain it’s shape but the infinity is no comparison to the Vomero as each has it’s own default running tempo.

The Vomero was more of a bigger shoe which was a key ingredient in me originally choosing the Vomero as a running shoe as i approached middle age.

First and foremost, I want to say that I’m glad the nike/jordan brand is bringing back some of the original air jordan colorways 1. This particular color is a perfect shoe for summer. Probably the most genuine leather I’ve seen on an air jordan release 1 since the back panel broke.

My favorite thing about this shoe is its versatility, which goes with practically anything from a fashion standpoint. For what it is, it’s also a good performer on the court, just replace the pads with something more cushioned and you’re good to go.

Bought this shoe for our kindergartner, who can be rough on shoes. It’s held up pretty well! It’s a little stiff at first but wears in nicely. He’s able to run, jump, and be crazy in them and they look cool, too.

They can double as nice shoe and a school shoe, which is also a plus!.

They are comfortable & the colors are cute. I’ve read other reviews where it says they’re cut small. I didn’t experience that problem. I purchased my regular size & had them on for 6 hours & I was good! The materials look great together, I did purchase the suede protectant🙂.

These are my favorite shoes ever! I’ve bought this specific color twice n have them in almost every other color they have. THAT’S how much I really love them! The only thing is I’m on my feet all day so I do go half a size up.

They are one of the most comfiest shoes I own, and that’s saying a lot, considering I have really wide & flat feet! It’s always so hard for me to find shoes that fit comfortably, but these do me good! I love the vintage look and the style.

The only thing I don’t like is that they crease so easily but otherwise they great!.

True to size, economical, super comfy, and cute. We buy several a year. Makes great shoes to send to daycare where they will get worn in for sure lol Also, people complain about worn toes (not shoes fault, it’s your kid dragging their toes…), the fabric coming off the bottom (google it, its not a shoe defect), and holes from “normal” use (sorry but my kids are hard on shoes at daycare and we still don’t have any shoes even being worn daily).

So don’t listen to those reviews. I mean they are cheap(cost), but you definitely get your monies worth. And no big deal to buy more at that price!!! It’s fun to switch up shoes anyways! These are great for daycare if your child is in the narrow window of these shoes actually fitting. The toe detail is nice but it makes the tip of the shoe stiff and it’s too thin for the big toe even if there is room at the top.

It’s unfortunate because I bought a 6 and my daughter still has about a finger tip of room in the toe but they are too tight. And a 7 is too big. If they made the toe a little thinner or more flexible, it would be a real winner! Also, the canvas ones are tighter/stiffer than the fabric ones.

Which is probably like a duh statement but just wanted to mention because my daughter definitely preferred the softer ones. There’s a noticeable difference.

I love these! I’m shocked that there are bad reviews. I’ve had them for 4-5 months and my daughter wears these every single day (though not all day, usually). They have held up so well. We could probably get several more months of wear out of them, at LEAST, but it’s just about time to size up.

She seems comfortable in them, they are really good from the standpoint of healthy foot development, and they come in such cute patterns/colors. Easy to put on, and the Velcro straps make it more fun since my toddler can help put them on and take them off.

My 11-year-old son loved these shoes. Very comfortable, supportive, easy to tie, etc. However after only about a month of wear there are pretty large holes in the toes. He’s had a number of other Nike shoes but we haven’t experienced this issue before so I’m assuming it’s the model? The toe fabric is maybe less durable?.

I like this old school style air max. Bought for my son. I do recommend going up a half size to a size. I ordered his regular size and it was a perfect fit. I had to return but will be reordering in larger size.

This sandal is perfect for my granddaughter. it keeps her toes covered but still gets the air so that they done sweat. Perfect for a warm day. She can still run around without it slipping off. Best purchase this month.

Thank you Nike! The PERFECT shoes for AFOs/SMOs. Adaptive parents these are the holy grail!! They are also extremely durable. My son drags his left toes and has worn out every shoe in a matter of weeks.

Almost 8 months in he’s out grown them, which has NEVER happened. I’ve hundreds, if not thousands on shoes trying to find shoes that fit, are durable, and stylish (Billy, New Balance, PLAE, etc. ) I actually will be able to pass these down as they are still in excellent condition.

Great shoes, I’ve bought my son 7 different color styles, but his foot grew over the summer to a 2. 5 so I’ve been buying them all over again wherever his size is available. Your buying team did a great job adding this shoe to the sku list.

My son is 8 years old who started 3rd grade and loves to be able to insert his shoe and go, and loves the fact that when he is done playing in the park his feet do not hurt after. Hope you guys get the other color style variety.

These seemed to run a little on the bit side for us but my son loves them! He prefers no laces for PE day and recess! The gray and black are perfect to match lots of his outfits! We have had several pair of this style and they tend to last him a while….
