20 Best Shoe Organizer For Closet (2023 Updated)

There are small gaps in how it fits together but nothing too bad. I did however have problems with some of the parts. I purchased two units to stack on top of each other. The Back Cleat (Part C) on one of the units didn’t have holes drilled out for the Cam Locks or the Cam Posts.

They sent a replacement which took about three weeks. Also the boxes came with different colour Shoe Fences even though the units themselves were both white. The most annoying thing was the rear Safety Support Pins for the shelves.

Some were plastic and some were metal. The plastic ones fit fine but the metal ones were at an odd angle. I had to clamp the in a vice and lightly hammer them into the proper shape. The customer service people are very nice and easy to deal with.

Great closet insert for shoes. It was a match to other two units I purchased fir the same closet for clothes. Very classy, sturdy and easy to assemble. A minor issue is that the pin system that holds the slats falls out of place easily and once the unit is installed into a closet is very hard to re accommodate.

Recommend gluing it.

Looks nice and is sturdy. It was somewhat difficult to put together because you just have to eyeball the positioning of the brackets to get the shelves at the angles you want. I had to redo the first couple of shelves several times to get them positioned properly.

It’s also narrower than the image makes it seem. We can only fit two pairs of shoes on each shelf. I have average-sized feet (women’s 7. 5) and I *might* be able to fit three pairs of heels on a shelf, but that wouldn’t work with my sneakers, flats, or sandals.

It certainly won’t work for my husband’s or son’s shoes!.

I ordered a couple of these shelving units for our master bedroom closet to help organize our shoe stash. They look great and give the entire closet a nice feel. Both boxes arrived in perfect shape and I liked the packaging of the shelf components inside.

The assembly was easy and I encountered no problems. I was a little skeptical looking at the pictures, but the finished product was a bit better quality than I anticipated. I think the list price on this item is a bit high but the reduced price offered by Walmart was just about right for the product received.

Have been looking for a while for a shoe rack thats sturdy, stylish and perfect size to fit all of my shoes, this one is perfect. Assembly was tricky for some screws but worth it in end. Loving the new add in my room!.

The unit is nice. Easy to put together, didn’t take very long at all. Easily a one person job. The one drawback for this unit is the fact the cubby holes for the shoes are not overly big. Luckily my husband and I don’t have large feet.

I don’t mean shoes won’t fit length wise, I mean they don’t fit side by side and some style shoes don’t fit in the holes. A pair of heels wouldn’t and My husbands dress shoes really didn’t fit well.

Easy to assemble and nicely stable, this shoe rack was exactly what I was looking for. It holds my kids’ sneakers by the back door so they are no longer scattered all over the floor, and it takes up very little floor space.

We have a number of other Yamazaki Home kitchen accessories and we have been happy with them all. Simple attractive and functional products!.

Very excited to receive the Yamazaki show rack- looked so elegant and minimal. However the rack is perhaps too slim. My sneakers, which are wider at the front, can’t slide into the rack meaning I have to place them one at a time to have enough space.

My hi-top reboks also don’t clear the rack so they stick out some. And because the metal is so light weight everytime I remove a pair of shoes the entire rack moves. So overall much more for appearances than been practical.

A wonderful compact shoe rack that takes up a small footprint. Works well for women shoes. For some mens shoes, you have to lay one shoe on its side to fit the width of the opening. I bought both colors, a white and a black rack.

Product is very lightweight and easy to install, make sure to push the black plastic inserts inside the chrome tubes all the way snug with the wood frame. The only negative thing is that the product images show ample space between the 3 rows of racks, but in reality there is 5 inches of space between the racks and the rise or incline of the bars isn`t that much, so looks rather congested when the shoes are put all together when compared to the pictures of the product online.

Thats advertising. All in all, product is going its job.

This rack is perfect for high heels. When I ordered it I didn’t know it expanded so i was thrilled by that. I got so many pairs of shoes on this. My only complaint would be when it’s fully expanded it saga a little in the center so I had to push it in about 2 inches for more support.

Overall great rack for the price.

I do like the way this shoe rack looks, which was the primary selection criteria for me. I also like that it is less than 10 inches deep, so it fits along the wall in our narrow cloet. But it feels flimsy & wobbles.

Also it is designed more for women’s heels than anything else. We did put men’s shoes on it, and it will work for now. But probably just until we find something better.

I was really excited to get this stackable shoe rack because I needed something to hold a lot of shoes. I’ll start with the pros of this rack. I love that it’s stackable so you can add as you need. I also absolutely love that it’s extendable so if you only have a few shoes you can narrow it down as much as you want/need but if you have lots of shoes it extends to accommodate a lot of shoes.

The biggest downside is that the racks themselves are just metal racks. They have no grip on them so if you have shoes without a heal or without a “rough” sole, they’ll stay on as long as you don’t bump the rack.

I’m really on the fence about this one.

Assembly: The assembly wasn’t hard but also was very tedious. The instructions were easy enough though. Size: The size is pleasantly compact. I sometimes wonder how i’ll be able to fit as many shoes as the picture showed but I like that it fits in the entry way closet (which is fairly small in my apartment).

Design: The only issue i have with this is that is wobbles. I’ve tried tightening some screws but it still wobbles. Luckily it’s not a table so I dont mind as much. Other than that, sleek design and no wasted parts.

This is definitely very minimalistic and fits great in any space.

It’s surprisingly hard to find a nice shoe rack online these days. This shoe rack is not only aesthetically beautiful, it is also extremely functional. I am able to store 3 pairs of shoes per shelf, hang up my umbrellas on the side hangers, and use the counter top to have a COVID-19 station of masks, hand sanitizer, etc right by the door.

It’s easy to put together. And the customer service is fantastic! Mine got damaged during shipping and a replacement was sent to me extremely quickly!.

It was packaged and made very well, but only suitable if you wear shoes like tennis shoes, flats, and loafers. I wasn’t really able to put shoes like Doc Marten boots or ankle boots into each of the “levels” because they were too narrow.

A little disappointed at the limited functionality with the high price of the shoe rack.

First, the brand that came is Sunbeam, not Home Basics. Second, the shelves are grey fabric stretched over the two long metal rods. There is a total of 4 metal rods per shelf, along with a plastic coupling that holds them all together.

The rods that separate the shelves and provide the height are also metal. The ties are black. Otherwise, it’s as pictured. It’s sturdy enough, and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Once put together, it’s lightweight, but seems to be pretty solid.

You cannot overfill a shelf though, because the shoes will fall off the side, so I would say max of 4 pairs of ladies shoes. Sandals you can fit more because they stack.

Purchased this item in gray first. It was a breeze to assemble and felt pretty sturdy. This version in blue is different. The connecting plastic pieces are not as sturdy – they’re a bit thinner. The fabric used to the shelves is also not as thick, similar but thinner.

The blue fabric cover is also thinner and doesn’t feel as sturdy as the gray version. This may not make a difference in durability, but it isn’t the same quality as the gray version. but still seems serviceable.

The shelves are paper thin and the entire strucutre is supported by a skinny metal bars! Good for temporary storage however.

For years I was using a shoe rack that hung on the back of my bedroom door. When I saw this item I thought it might suit my needs better. This is a great storage bin for my shoes. It is sturdy, well made and attractive.

Now that I’ve seen how nice it is, I’m buying another. The only thing that I feel it needs is a cover to keep the dust off the shoes. I’ve solved that by laying a pillow case over the top, but redesigning the bin would be the best option.

I had a tall shoe bin in my closet for years. It was starting to come apart and require frequent adjustment to keep it intact. It was as tall and had limited space for clothing. Purchased 2 shoe storage boxes.

All my shoes fit in the storage boxes, they have a low profile, and my clothes do not get wrinkled or stuffed around taller shoe storage united.

This storage bin works great for containing my daughter’s shoes! Mind you, the pockets are not big enough for a pair of high-top sneakers or ankle boots, so I put one shoe per pocket in those cases. However, I had plenty of room for the pairs she keeps in the laundry room.

Everything looks neat and organized now!.

I originally ordered 2 but once I received them and saw the excellent quality. there are modern looking, strong laminated wood in white and stainless steel bars (much better looking in person than pictured).

Better quality than I thought. Sturdy and great size. I thought I could only get 3 pair on each shelf but it actually holds 4 pair (of women’s) shoes on each shelf without problem.

Putting this rack together was so SIMPLE, that I didn’t even look at the directions until I was almost finished assembling. (I didn’t find the directions in the package until I was almost done. ) There are 3 lengths of bars; the longest bars run the length of the rack, the medium bars are the depth of each shelf, and the shortest bars are stacked to create the height of the unit.

There are 24 connectors shaped like a Y, and the trunk of the Y is longer than the 2 legs – that trunk of the Y always runs up and down connecting the shortest bars, while the short legs of the Y connect the shelf sides.

It really couldn’t be easier. When you get your package, separate all the pieces. and arrange one shelf of the unit on the floor without putting everything together yet. That will help you see the pattern of assembly.

I give this rack 5 stars. In fact, I’m purchasing another unit today.

Thought that it would be perfect. When I opened it up it looked like one of the kids toys. There are flimsy black tubes that fit into even worse black couplers. The fabric that makes the base where the shoes sit is also poorly made.

While building this 3 black couplers broke and 1 shelf ripped at the stitch. So now it is a 5 layer shelf that will work for now. However, this experience made me question if I will ever be ordering from this company again.

Such value for the price! I was overwhelmed when I saw the number of pieces, but upon reading instructions, seeing how easy it was to put together and with no tool, I was delighted at my choice. Had been looking at more expensive options elsewhere that didn’t hold many shoes.

This does not seem like a sturdy material, but I had this material on something else from LTD, and it lasted about 10 years, so I’m very happy with it. It doesn’t have a big footprint and you can adjust height to your requirements.

Because mine is under a window, I chose not to use one shelf. Highly recommend.

This product is really helpful because it can be used for multiple purposes. It fits 6 pairs of shoes and/ low cut boots. It works as an under the sink shelf or anywhere where you would need a shelf this size.

Its easy to put together and take apart and can be stored flat when not used. The plastic is pretty durable.

This shoe/boot organizer was just the right fit in a small space. Not only did it score for my shoes, it also was functional for storing my portable Printer & Carrying Case and other electronic cases/ brief cases.

We just received these (I bought two sets) but so far so good. They are a good size and hold my husband’s big winter boots. They were easy to assemble and they are attractive and look like they will clean up easily.

I just received mines today and I LOVE them. The reviews I read after ordering them made me want to cancel my order. I’m glad I didn’t. I wear a size 9 and both shoes fit neatly in it’s compartment. I think this hanger is made with sandals and flip flops in mind.

Larger shoes would need a compartment for each shoe. Wonderful buy! Gonna probably order 2 more. No more bending to get my shoes. VERY HAPPY.

Great little shoe organizer! I’m giving 4 stars because of the main complaint you’ll see in other reviews (cubby size) and the overall quality. But I think it’s a good piece for it’s price (you’ll see this item at other retailers for a higher cost).

Very quick and easy “assembly”, and not so long that I can’t fit other things below as it doesn’t hang all the way to the floor with an average closet bar height. Yes, the individual shoe cubbies are very small and don’t fit your shoes with 100% ease.

And no, you can’t fit ankle boots in them. But, if you’re like me and mostly own standard shoes, then this works just fine. I did have to put my shoes in a little differently (the way you see a pair of shoes come in a new box, except I put the soles together instead of the top of the shoes) and this works just fine.

I do have some chukka height boots, which are just the right size that I can fit one boot in each cubby. Yes, this takes up more room. At the end of the day, this item is not for someone with 100 pairs of shoes or someone with only boots.

And, if you have patent leather or something you don’t want to get scuffed, they put each shoe in its own cubby, or keep them elsewhere. This organizer gives me storage without having to take up half of my closet.

I’ve also seen a couple reviews that the grommets are breaking? I don’t know what you’re storing in yours or how you’re treating it, but mine is full and I have some pretty heavy shoes and mine is doing just fine.

Was excited to receive this item since it would hold more shoes and also I felt like it would store them better than the traditional over the door shoe wrack. My problem came once I put it over the door I could no longer close the door.

The brackets that are used are so thick, which is nice because it seems sturdy. However, they were to thick to allow the door to close so I returned the item. Super bummed because it seemed like a quality item.

I only gave this fabric shoe rack 3 stars because once I put it together it tips towards the front. It got worst as I put shoes on it even when I put the heavier ones on the bottom. It was easy to assemble and it was perfect for the space I needed it in.

I bought this shoe rack for my laundry room to hold shoes that we wear frequently. It’s as described and very easy to put together. I haven’t had it long, so I’m not sure of durability, but it works for what I intended.

This shoe rack is exactly what you see in the picture. It’s sturdy, low-key design and will hold several pairs of shoes that will vary depending on the size of shoes you are using it for. We have about 12 on there in a mix of adult and child’s sizes.

This works great in my screen room for shoes I frequently wear like running shoes, flip flops and slip on sneakers. I have a small house and it keeps them from getting in the way from my work shoes in the bedroom closet.

Pretty good construction. I also store small boxes with odds and ends in there as well. Can be used for items other than shoes.

I bought this for my daughters room and it works great. It’s made well and fits perfectly in the space I had other shoe closet, but nothing comes close to this one. I bought a larger one for my back room.

I ordered two in blue. It is perfect in my spare room. I was able to fit 32 pairs of ssandals in each storage unit by stacking. So good to throw out all those shoeboxes and actually see my summer shoes.

It was easy to put together once you get 1 compartment done. Not 100% sturdy so don’t put your weight or anything super heavy on it. I moved and my closet is way smaller so this was the perfect shoe rack to fit in the smaller space.

I’d recommend this period if you needed extra shoe space. Too lazy to take pictures, but it does look like the stock photo when finished. I’d give it 5 stars if it was a little sturdier, but I’m happy overall.

This is exactly what my husband is looking for! He wants a shoe rack with covers. the other kinds are wood and might not fit his high cuts. Every thing fits including his high cut shoes. The material is plastic, but must be durable.

However, after he assembled, he found out 2 white covers are missing!! too late, he doesn’t want to dismantle. We want to keep, but Costway – please send me the other 2 white covers and I will be happy.

It is easy to assemble, looks great! Very stylish, have it in my living room and nobody even knows I put all my shoes in it!! It held almost my whole closet of shoes!! only thing I could not fit in was my tall boots.

I bought 10-14 of these in 2004 when I was in college. That was a lot of money, but over 15-years later. I consider them an investment and they’re still perfect and multifunctional. I’ve moved at least 6x since I bought them and I always fine a new use for them.

I’ve used them to organize shoes in several closets, I’ve used them in a linen closet to better organize sheets, tea towels, and hand towels. I currently use several of these in my walk-in-closet to store shoes, sweaters, and pajamas.

These are great and still in brand new condition. Highly recommend these.

I was expecting more from this product given the great reviews. After just a few weeks of use, it’s already starting to sag a bit in the middle. This is not very sturdy, particularly for men’s shoes or heavier shoes.

I wouldn’t buy again and I’m going to have to look for a different, better product.

These are absolutely perfect to hold our shoes in our front coat closet. The shoes go in and the slippers come out as we’re putting our coats away. The shelves fit together securely and do not fall apart at all.

There’s enough room below the first shelf to fit another row of shoes. The mesh is fine enough that high heels do not fall through. The only negative I can see is there are no instructions provided on how to hook shelves together and someone less spatially inclined may have problems figuring it out.
