20 Best Shoe For Boot Camp (2023 Updated)

My husband gifted me the Camp Boots for my birthday and I was so excited to try them. Unfortunately, they didn’t meet my expectations. Though the boot is very well made, it didn’t fit. They were too narrow in the heel and toe box and I have narrow to regular width feet.

I was surprised at how stiff the boots were too. The entire boot had no give to it whatsoever. I am returning them to possibly try the Crave boot. I own a pair of Taos sandals and those are a little big and very loose so I was surprised to find the Camp boot to be so narrow and stiff.

I almost never write reviews but I am so impressed with these boots and Taos, in general that I’m taking the time. These boots (in Smoke) were totally comfortable right out of the box, which I’ve never experienced before.

They are stylish and rugged and have already taken me on walks through the woods and on the beach. Honestly, if these were the only shoes I had in my closet, I would be totally fine. I had purchased the wool clogs before these and loved them so much I was willing to take a chance on the boots.

I’m thinking that Taos may be the only shoe brand I ever buy anymore.

I’ve known about Taos footwear for years, but thought the price was steep. Finding quality leather boots seems to be getting more difficult, and I needed a new GOOD pair. I decided to try these and I’m SO glad I did.

These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. They fit me perfectly, but I have a slightly narrow foot. They have excellent arch support (best I’ve ever had in a boot), are excellent quality leather, and a durable sole that will be great in Midwest wet weather.

They look stylish, but aren’t super chunky and can look either casual or a it more “dressy” if worn with nicer pants. I put them on, and they felt soft (yet durable) immediately. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

I’m a longtime Vasque fan, they just work for my feet. They’ve been changing up their models lately to ones that don’t work for my feet as well, which is a shame. These are good, at a good price point and keep more of their traditional last – all good things.

I like this shoe. I’d take a traditional Vasque Sundowner (best hiking shoe ever made) over these any day though, for sure.

I was looking for boots that were more stylish than my regular Vasque hiking boots, but were still going to be good in rough weather. A+ on both accounts. I am loving these boots. They are very comfortable, warm, and waterproof.

they are kind of narrow but I sized up by half a size and they fit perfect. they take a little bit to break but after that they are super comfy. great looking shoes on feetsé

I don’t review many items, but I am very impressed with the design of these shoes. These are very supportive and comfortable for a rubber boot. Right out of the box, I put these on and went out for a very soggy morning of working around the house and getting on and off the tractor.

They kept my feet dry and breath suprisingly well for a rubber and neoprene shoe. I ordered these online and I wasn’t sure of what size to buy, but as I was unpacking them I noticed a note on the box that says they are sized like athletic shoes and to be worn with medium weight socks.

I wear a size 11 in most shoes, and they couldn’t fit any better. They have great traction on turf, in the mud, and on damp concrete. In comparison to another pair of taller rubber boots I own, these aren’t as “sloppy” feeling, have a much stiffer sole, and fit much better.

They actually look pretty good on, and after knocking some of the mud off, would be fine for a trip to the store. These are perfect for what I wanted them for. I will be leaving them next to the back door for working around the yard and trips to the garden.

They are also easy to put on and take off. I’m so impressed with these, I will be ordering another pair of this brand in a taller version for deeper mud.

I have had these DryShod short boots for over a year now and I love them! I keep them by the door for running the dogs through wet weather. These slip on easy and snug and STAY on! I don’t have to pull them on, I just stand and slip a foot in and push down, simple.

They have never felt loose or like they will come off lifting my feet out of thick mud. I have worn a size 12 med in US sizes all of my adult life and these fit perfect. They are also pretty warm in the snow and ice, although I do wear lightweight wool blend socks all winter.

No leaks. So, all said, I absolutely recommend these DryShods!.

This is my first ever experience with the DryShod brand and so far, so good. I wanted a nice, waterproof slip-on for walking the dogs at a moment’s notice and these fit the bill nicely. They are a little snug just trying to stuff your foot in as you’re standing up but they do go on.

and then they stay on. I was a little concerned with that but the fit as I walk in the mud or snow is very secure and they don’t feel loose at all. I have worn a size 12 medium since I was in high school and these 12 med.

are true to that. I don’t have arch problems so all I can say is that these are very comfortable for me, and pretty warm with just plain athletic socks in 20 degree F. weather. The grip of the soles is ok, not great.

In packed snow and ice there was a little more sideways slippage than I experience with my Merrill boots, but I was expecting that from this tread design, and that is why I did not dock a star. So, all in all, I like these and I would buy them again.

If they do not hold up for long I will try to change this review but for the first winter, all is good.

Great shoes. Comfortable right out of the box and can be worn for light hiking and trail walking as well as casual knock around. Danner is a top notch company.

This is an all-around great pair of shoes! Looks good for the office, but can go light hiking in them if you choose! Break in period was about two weeks for me, but quite comfortable once broken in. Moose jaw was an excellent place to purchase them!.

These Danner’s fit true to size, perfect width for a medium, and are extremely comfortable. I wear them for 10 hours walking on concrete and they’re also very supportive.

I have loads of skechers shoes, trainers, flipfops sandals you name it. I was really looking forwarding to these arriving as I thought well I need a pair of sturdy walking boots with a decent grip on so that I don’t fall in the winter whilst walking the dogs.

I took them out of the box and noticed how heavy they were not good. Then I tried toget my feet in not easy. I even tried to undo the laces you cannot undo the laces all the way down the front of the boot, like you can with normal walking boots.

Once I managed toget my foot in I noticed the following: Way to narrow on the toes my little toes were really squashed and I usually don’t have a problem with the skechers fit. Way to hard on the heel there is no give in them If i had worn them out I would have ended up with my poor heels being rubbed and ended up with blisters There is no flexbility in the boot no give.

It makes it virtually impossible for the boot to move with your ankle joint. Memory foam padding not really it didnt feel that soft Not sure on the actually water proofing as didnt wear them out. These are not comfy.

If you want something that will give you the comfort go with the Chugga boot with the Arch support in. As far as walking boots these are a non starter and have been returned. These boots are just not suitable to be classed as walking boots and are not up to skechers usual standard I think its high time that QVC starting to do free returns through Asda, like Ideal Word do, as having already paid out once for postage.

I don’t think if you returning the item you should have to pay again.

The boots look fine out of the box. I ordered the black. However, they seem to have missed key points in the design that would make them suitable for a hiker/walker. Boots need to be easy to get on and off and adjust; these have a very small opening because the tongue is fixed and the laces are threaded through fixed metal fittings all the way up to the ankle, whereas most proper walking boots have unclosed fittings either at the top or all the way down, making them much more flexible and easy to put on and pull off.

These boots need a lot of adjusting. I could just get them on with a pair of ordinary socks, but no chance of adjusting your socks once the boot is on and no chance of getting these on without a struggle if wearing thick socks.

You do need thick socks as otherwise the ankle top is too hard. I think they are relaxed fit inside but not for getting on and off. A waterproof boot means you can wear in bad weather, which equally means you need to be able to get them off easily once you get indoors.

These are too much like hard work. They do feel a bit clumpy when on too. I’m sure the rubber non slip soles would be great in bad weather but on a dry surface they were awfully squeaky, which is really irritating.

I just think Skechers have missed the point of a serious walking boot and they’re too clumpy and heavy to be a casual shoe. Didn’t live up to their promises I’m afraid.

I have loads of Skechers trainers of various types. This time needed a good hiking boot and the presentation was good. I am a typical 5 1/2 and the size 5 fitted me well. I wore them around the house, noted all the poor reviews but thought they were ok.

Undid the laces more to get on and off, didn’t use the top holes for the laces to loosen around the ankle. So far so good. Then I wore them on a short 5K walk and by the end of it soles of my feet were burning and my ball joints aching.

I still wasn’t defeated (pardon the pun) and when my feet had recovered I put extra double thick socks on and did the walk again. Slightly better but feet still aching on my return which I have never had before.

I am so grateful I can send them back with QVC. No way could I do a long walk in them. I don’t think the memory foam insole is thick enough and feel hard underneath this, and and although they do bend, they were still very stiff all over.

Will have to return to the proper hiking boots makes, these may be ok as fashion boots only, and 2 stars for the lovely design and suede outer.

The Eastland Seneca Chucka is a timeless design that was popular 30 yrs ago and will be popular 30 yrs from now. By applying mink oil paste each Fall and Spring my Seneca Chuckas continue to be comfortable, with soft waterproof exteriors.

I ordered a half size larger to allow for the gel insoles I use for better foot comfort. Iove the Seneca Chucka so much that I have 2 pair of the Eastland lace-up Camp Mocs in both colors they come in and I treat them with mink oil paste twice a year as well.

These are the greatest. When I first tried them on, it was like getting together with an old friend. They fit and felt great. Because I have some foot issues, I need great foot support. So many support shoes look like support shoes; these don’t.

They are sporty looking. I not only feel great wearing them; I know I look good too. Great way too feel.

The leather is well stitched but the sole is only glued on, not stitched. Just by looking at the soles, it appears that they are not going to stay glued together very long once they get wet. The width is a little narrow across the toe box area and I’m hoping it will give some with more wear.

I’ve worn these three times now. Figuring if the soles come apart I’ll glue them back down-just wish they were stitched to begin with!.

I got these boots in gray, and first things first, the orange in the laces is much more orange than it comes off in the pictures. I don’t mind it, but it is different. They do come with solid gray laces if you want to switch to those instead, but I like the contrast.

They’re cute boots! And they have done a good job keeping my feet dry walking around in snow- I haven’t tried them in a full on puddle yet. Secondly, they’re big! Size down. I saw that in a couple reviews on the Ked’s site- those reviewers suggested a whole size down, but I typically wear a 6.

5, and the 6 was the smallest option so I got that. It’s working, but it’s certainly roomy. I have been wearing them with thicker socks, and that’s a decent fit, but they do run big. Also I have added insoles, because you can feel the tread of the boot through the sole, and I didn’t like that.

The insoles make them feel a little more snug as well, and I’m not mad at it. They are cute, and they’re working as I intended- as a boot that would keep my feet dry without being bulky like a snow or rain boot.

I’m happy enough with them, just with a few caveats.

This is the second pair of Scout boots I’ve purchased for my active elementary daughter. She wore the first pair 5 days a week while playing outside for hours everyday. They were easy to clean, kept her feet dry, and she looked stylish too! The shoes held up very well for so much wear, that when she outgrew them, I knew I needed to get her another pair.

I chose these ones versus the Rifle Paper ones because of the added lining, as the other ones weren’t super warm through the winter. I am a little worried about them staying as dry though because of the quilted sides instead of rubber.

The only place the previous shoe showed wear was on the sole, which I had to super glue back on after a few months of play as it started to separate at the toe, but it was an easy fix. Also, the laces started to look worse for wear, but luckily it came with a second lace in another color to change it to.

So I got these shoes and I loved how they look. They’re light and stylish, and that’s amazing. The insoles are flat so beware if that is a concern for you. I wore them about 10 times in total, 2 times in rain.

1st time was great, no issues. Didn’t get wet but I wasn’t under rain for too long either. The second time it was raining, I had to walk for a little and around the minute 5, my feet was soaked. It isn’t the fabric material, it was where it merged with the plastic outer sole of the shoe that took the water in.

It was terrible. I wrote to customer service almost a week ago and there is no answer yet. I understand they’re not rain boots but you shoudn’t advertise something as water resistant if it can’t be under a little water for 5 mins.

With that logic, canvas shoes are water resistant too, for about 3 minutes. Unless you live in a super dry place, I wouldn’t bother. I really had high hopes and I am very disappointed.

This was a gift for my daughter and she loved them!! We were concerned that the 10 would not be big enough, but it runs a little big so it was perfect!!! Great gift!

They are ok they keep a good bit of dirt and water out for not all definitely not 100% water prof as they clam but they are comfy but in Florida they do get very out on the in side.

Wrong size sent but very nice boots! Customer service is great and will be sending out the correct size when back in stock

I needed a new walking shoe that I could wear around besides sneakers or more chunky hiking shoes. The New York Times bombarded me with ads over and over and over, and they finally worked. When I first got them in size 8 1/2 they felt too big.

This is my normal size. But then when walking in them I think there’s a little lift which pushes the foot forward so they ended up being a perfect fit after all. Highly recommended.

I bought these as a gift for my mom on Mother’s Day. She LOVED them! She has another pair of Forsakes (also a gift) and she would tell me how great they were for travel. She had expressed needing a new pair of hiking boots, so she was gifted these.

Long story short, she wore them while hiking South Dakota. She said they are just as light weight as her travel shoes, but she feels sturdy in them! My mom also mentioned that she loved the color combo!.

Bought this to replace the $30 hiking boots I kept buying and hating. These are Uber comfortable and flex well with all your movement while still being supportive. I like that they loosen right up when you take them off.

No fiddling around with laces to get them off your feet. Light weight enough for leisurely and everyday activities but still rugged enough for lots of different terrain. Cutest and best hiking boots I’ve ever owned.

I have used these boots for nearly a month during winter. I take a men’s size 10 1/2. They are ultra-lite waterproof hiking boots that work great. They are light, waterproof, stylish, well made, very comfortable, and fit to size.

I used them on trails, in snow, walking on the street, hiking, and around town. The bottom tread provides excellent grip in ice and snow, woods, sand, gravel trail, grass, rocks, or pavement. Comfort, breathable, waterproof, support, reasonable price, and traction are all important to me.

I have had many other hiking boots over the years, and found that it is difficult to find one that does all these things well. If not and they are past being returned, I wouldadd them to my seldom used shoes.

These are not likely to end up there.

Boots are nicely constructed and look good. I was satisfied with the purchase. Only problem was that it took FOREVER for them to leave the factory/warehouse/store or wherever they came from. When I ordered them, I got a 10 instead of 9.

5 since many reviews said that they run big. Well unfortunately, the 10 was way too big for me. Due to the exorbitant amount of time that the shipping took and the fact that I had to pay for it, I was not willing to send them back and try again.

I gave the boots away. They never even touched the dirt. It will probably be my last experience with ordering Columbia products online. Very unfortunate. The boots are gorgeous and seemed comfortable enough.

Wanted to try these. The name holds weight and thought they would be worth a try. Especially at this price. What I found. Construction is great. seem very well put together and comfortable. I’m a mailman and crossing wet yards and puddles my feet stay dry.

Walking on slippery wet steps and porches I found they have great grip and no slipping. I’ve worn them about 5-6 times in 30 degree weather and my feet stayed warm with regular socks on. The best part is, these are very lite weight.

They are very soft except for the bottoms and feel like your putting on some mesh gymn shoes. If your looking for a timberland type boot feel this isn’t it. they feel more like your putting on slippers.

5 stars all day after a month of working in them. I wear between a 10 and 101/2. these are 11 and perfect.

I have always hiked and backpacked in trail runners and thought I would give these a try after having an unexpected surgery on my hip and lost a moderate amount of muscle tissue. I needed a little extra support than shoes and wanted a little ankle support but not the weight of a boot.

I tried several options and these felt great right out of the box. I have now had these over 6 months and tested them in the Southeastern Appalachians and mostly in the AT sections in GA and NC. I’m also a section maintainer and often wear these for light work trips.

I really like the wet traction on logs, roots, and rocks which is is very often the case in my area. I have stayed completely dry with shallow creek crossings and in slushy snow and ice. I would like a little more cushion, but I’ve been pretty comfortable with longer day trips.

I also appreciate the comfort in heat as my feet get hot fast and sweaty. I’ll definitely been looking for sales on these to replace as they wear out. I have low mileage right now, so I can speak to longevity.

I wanted a pair of boots that I could wear for an upcoming Glacier NP trip in July and hiking in general. But I also wanted it to be light, comfortable, and waterproof. I did a lot of checking reviews and this wasn’t even one that I looked at, but when I went to the store, I found that these met my needs and fit the best.

I. As I wore them around my house and on every day dog walks I found that they are far more comfortable than my other running shoes and my feet are happy. I find I wear them the majority of the week (work, church, weekends), they are well broken in for the Glacier trip.

Nice large toe box and insole that comes with the boots are the best. No need to change them out. Been out in a couple of light rain storms and never had an issue. Great boots and will get another pair in the near future.

I got a pair of Oboz hikers in the early summer. The aggressive soles are awesome & have held up very well. The kicks are super comfortable, great fitting 7 supportive. Unfortunately, the toe cap on both boots has opted to detach, & it?s pretty bad on the right one.

The boots don?t have a ton of mileage on them & I would expect greater durability. I emailed the company about them & they suggested gluing them, but didn?t stand behind their product with any kind of warranty repair or replacement option.

I?m disappointed. I was really hoping to get more of their stuff in the future, but I need more durability & product support. Adequate is not good enough.

They were dirty for some reason when I got them. It looked like they had chocolate or something on them.

My beetles arrived only two days before we left for a hiking holiday in the Austrian Alps, so I didn’t get a chance to wear them in. But, oh boy, they were a delight! Super comfortable, sturdy and after a good dust-off upon return still like new.

My main gripe about Campers is that they’re indestructible. I’ve two other pairs that are between 8-12 years old and that are still going strong! Just kidding, I love the sustainability of good, lasting shoes.

i like this shoe a lot because it is light and comfortable. I like the beetle with conventional laces. This is my third pair. What i think that could be a real improvement is that the soles should be more durable.

This is the weak part of the shoe and really strange that this isn’t fixed even after all the same reviews you can find online.

I’m a big Camper fan. Stylish and very commpfortable. These shoes are a joy to wear. A big plus for me is that the soles are made from 51% recycled materials. But they puncture very easily, wear out quickly, and as far as I know, can’t be repaired.

It would be great if that were possible! I bought these a couple of months ago and it doesn’t look like they’ll last to the autumn.

My second pair – best shoe ever. These feel really light. And not in a cheap way. My first pair lasted me many years (plural). Backpacking, hiking, trail maintenance & building MTB trails. I absolutely love them.

First pair only were lost to too much 99% DEET bug spray messing with the fabric (it literally says on the DEET bottle not to use on the fabric these shoes are made out of – but Midwestern summers by lakes made me not care).

Second pair matches build quality on arrival (good to know they are still making the same quality product many years later). One month of wear confirms this. Love them. Hope DANNER builds them forever.

I have tried wearing these for over a week now. Construction is good, it feels inline with the price point of these shoes. However, fit is not. I ordered these because I read they run narrow which is good because I have narrow feet.

The kicker here is I also have high arches. The insoles that come in these are TERRIBLE. They are about 1/8″ thick and nothing. Which wouldn’t be a problem except they also have zero arch support. So I swapped the insole for something with arch support.

Now here lies the problem. These shoes are so tight that changing out the paper thin insole makes them so tight on my foot it starts falling asleep. I am super disappointed in these shoes. I gave them 2 shoes because the construction and materials used are good.

However, there is no arch support, the insole is paper thin, and replace the insole to anything else makes these shoes so tight they put my thin foot to sleep. Then combine that with a very slick material and weird angle on the heal that makes your foot slip, and you have a recipe for an uncomfortable shoe.

Something that I should not have to deal with at this price point.

These were perfect memorial day weekend in the Ozarks. Cool, breathable, comfortable, quick drying, and surprisingly durable. I appreciate the reinforcement at the areas that flex. I took them through streams and waterfalls, a variety of 4-5 mile hikes, hopping rocks and a bit of light bouldering.

I prefer low drop shoes, though my age and fitness activity necessitate a bit of cushion. The cushioning and 4mm drop feels perfect for my needs. I paired them with Darn Tough light hiker socks and they felt incredibly secure and nimble, even when wet.

Please continue making these, and add more colors! I will buy them for the rest of my life. I would also love a slightly higher stack height version for higher mileage use. The Trail 2650’s higher drop didn’t work well for me.

One of the things I get to expect from Camper shoes is great comfort along with stylish stance. These shoes definitely deliver on the fashion department but they fall a bit short on the comfort side.

The materials are high quality as usual but the canvas is a bit rough, especially on the back around the Achilles’s tendon area. I got some sores and pain on the first day around there and I’ll probably need some silicone supports to avoid that.

The inner soles are comfortable but not great for long days if you have flat feet. I have a pair of Stan Smiths and they are definitely more comfortable but don’t look as great as these.

Well, I love Camper shoes to begin with. The Peu line were my first shoes back when I started wearing them. It’s been my experience with the entire Peu line that they lack proper arch support and I always get a lot of pain if I walk too much.

It’s a bit disappointing to be honest. I love the shoe and I use it with an extra inner sole for more support but it doesn’t fit right because of the toe area design. Shoe looks great, and love the new sole.

I don’t have flat feet and never struggled with arch support like this otherwise.

Structure / build quality feels high. Especially love the slip-on-laces look. Electric blue details provide a balanced ratio against the light gray. This seems like a fast young scientific shoe. the price point compartment will to the comp.

$115. Nice simplicity with a spark of distinctive styling. Moves well – good side grip…can use the bumper for a side grip for bigger Ollie’s and air for kick flips etc.

(Early Review) Prior to this shoes, I had worn an older generation salomon xa forces gtx, same size. My only complaint with that pair of shoes is that it pinched on my left foot, but no problem with right foot.

The left and right sides of human body aren’t completely the same and probably my left foot is just slightly bigger. When I bought the 2020 version of xa forces gtx I was a little worried about the same problem but both feet fit well! I can still feel the difference between fitting of left and right feet but I don’t feel that uncomfortable with this newer pair! For me personally, the breaking period wasn’t so long, which only took around 2 days.

The shoes isn’t very breathable but what are you expecting with a salomon that has GTX with it? The heel support and arch support are excellent, much better than the Speedassault. Though the speedassault is much lighter(just about 320g), layers and support are tradeoffs.

I own both Speedassault and XA forces GTX and I’d say they are for different scenarios.

The color is a brownish as shown in description, perfect. I bought this boot as much for the color as the reputation of boot. Normally wear a size 12 to 12. 5 , I ordered this in a size 13 reg. It is a little big as I anticipated.

I wear with thick socks and it fits perfect. Very comfortable but is stiff due to new. I’ve been breaking them in around the house. Bought em with the intention of hunting , but as comfortable as they are , iIll prolly wear them often.

They are goot lookin too , I think. It is a pricey shoe/boot. , but it has a lot a features goin for it. It will be well worth the price if it last for a decent amount of time {3or4yrs} + more I hope.

Very sturdy and supportive boot. Took two yrs for size I was wanting to become available { whenever I came on site they were out of stock}. I’ve had them less than a month. Waiting for some cooler weather {they should be broken in by then} so I can get some porkchops an baycawn for me freezer! LGB.

I have had multiple pairs of the original Quest 4d GTX Forces and loved them. I still have and use several pairs including one that I wear everyday for work in Law Enforcement. Another pair I wear almost everyday off duty.

My off-duty pair probably has a few thousand miles of use on them and they are still super comfortable. The insoles were replaced free of charge by Salomon and the boots have held up very well. I have no doubt they will continue to work out well for me.

I have a hard time taking the boots off at the end of the day because they are just that comfortable. I have tried a couple of pairs of the second generation and have wound up selling both of them. The boots are made in a different country than the original version and I have noticed lower build quality in the new model.

The added protection for fast roping on the interior of the foot created a great amount of discomfort while wearing the boots for more than a couple hours, especially while hiking. Another change that was made for the second generation was a different tongue.

The new one seemed too large for the boot and i found it to be quite uncomfortable. The tongue would come untucked no matter how tight the boot was tied and would become more uncomfortable. It seems as though there is more padding in the new boot and this is what creates the issue.

Unfortunately because of the aforementioned fast roping protective pad and the tongue, I have sold all the gen 2 boots I have purchased. These are just my observations, you may have a different experience.

For now I will continue to find the first generation of forces and stick with those. I hope that the next iteration of QUEST 4D Forces correct these issues.

Really satisfied; excellent quality of materials and construction. Comfortable soft and warm. As soon as I arrived I wore them for the whole day without any discomfort. Mia surprised most of all the sole and the softness of the insole.

the only drawback, a “wrinkle” of the upper where the strings begin. I recommend the product.

I did not believe that CMP made such beautiful and performing shoes, for the price paid they far exceed other competitors. The only thing is that the blue is less intense than in the photo

Edit 7/29/2022I’m finally starting to wear down the tread on the boots after extensive use in hiking, music festivals, and working construction because they’re more comfortable than my work boots. But the boots themselves have kept together perfectly.

Gotten plenty of use for the 100 bucks and kept me comfortable every step. Bought these because I love to hike, but never invested in boots for it, but also because I was going t attend a music festival in the WV mountains in some rough terrain.

I wore these on two water filled hikes to break them in and after that period they were beyond comfortable. Especially on the soles of my feet. I thought anti fatigue was a marketing term, but boy was I wrong.

Didn’t take the boots off at the festival except to sleep, and wore them during all my flights to and from the festival. I’ve only had these less than a month but I’ve put them through some real tests on hills, rock, water, and regular walking.

I’m going to continue to buy these for as long as they’re around 100 bucks!.

Used for hiking. Super comfortable. No break-in required for me. Sized same as my running shoe and they fit perfectly with a bit of extra room in toe (as hiking boots should have). I used a coupon so I think I got great bang for buck hiking boot.

From my one experience in mud, they are waterproof. My only complaint is that the material (I got brown) scuffs/gets dirty quickly but cleaned quite well with a wet rag. If you like to keep your boots pristine looking for as long as possible, maybe go a different way.

But if you want a comfortable and affordable hiking boot and are willing to clean them, I’d definitely recommend these. They seemed to have good grip on my one hike experience going downhill on rocks but not sure how they’d do on ice.

Fantastic light boot. I buy walklng boots for work and wear them out quickly. Brasher mammot lowe and others last me 1 year. Scarpa manta 2 years so im hoping to get 1.5years use out of these.

Excellent boots. Only worn them on their maiden voyage so far but good grip on ascent and decent and excellent ankle support. Definately designed for more rugged terrain. So if your planning rocky mountain work an excellent choice but also equally comfortable in the valley floor.

A little expensive for what they are but my previous scarpa boots have always been comfortable out of the box and extremely well made.

To start: I’m a big Salomon fan. I’ve got several pairs of their boots and hiking shoes. I was very excited when I saw these, so I purchased them immediately. I was looking for a cross between a hiking boot, and a trail runner.

Unfortunately, the toe box on these is very small/tight. I wore them around the house for a day, and my feet had never hurt so bad. The size was correct, they just run narrow (and I don’t have wide feet).

I also found the lacing system to be uncomfortable. The top laces run low, which put unneeded stress on my ankle (they tightened right along the ball of my ankle). They may be for some people, but they weren’t for me.

Just uncomfortable and poorly fitting.

Incredible shoe. Perfect amount of firmness and comfort. The front of my ankle rubs on the top of the shoe a bit. I wish it was cut down a bit lower, but the problem did not become exacerbated over time.

Really an amazing shoe. The only thing I don’t love is the quick lace system. It doesn’t really offer any advantages to me and makes it difficult / impossible to get a specific level of tightness at the lower part of the shoe versus the upper because the cord shifts easily and evens out the tension.

However, I wanted a non-goretex version of this shoe and there were no other options. Despite the drawbacks listed, this is one of the best shoes I have ever seen. Perfect combination of a comfortable running shoe with an off trail shoe.

Amazing traction, comfortable but firm support so if you’re loaded with a back pack the shoe isn’t getting squished to all heck,.

I got these Solomon Predict Hike Mids right out of the box and hit the trails. They were extremely comfortable and fit true to size. These are not bulky nor do they look like everyone else’s hikers. I’ve gone on multiple hikes in the last 2 weeks and these are fantastic.

Good grip, good support and sporty. Many hikers don’t have cushion inside however these shoes feel like a mix between a running shoe and a hiker. I highly recommend.
