Conclusion
There are a couple different ways to conclude the shock process for a vinyl pool. The first way is to simply stop shocking the pool once the chlorine levels have reached 3 ppm. At this point, the pool is safe to swim in and the chlorine levels will slowly decline on their own.
The second way to conclude the shock process is to continue shocking the pool until the chlorine levels reach 10 ppm. This will ensure that the pool is completely disinfected and that any algae or bacteria is killed.
Once the chlorine levels reach 10 ppm, you can then stop shocking the pool and the chlorine levels will slowly decline on their own.
