Customers should note these are some serious shin guards. You could probably spar kickboxing without guards, put these bad boys on, and get back in the ring to train the next day. They run a little big for a medium, and the foot pad completely covers up my toes (I wear a 9-10 shoe size).
Not sure if that’s good or bad (am still trying to get back into classes, and am just kicking a bag right now).

The shin guards my son used prior to this were wide and had Velcro to wrap around his leg. The Velcro always bothered him and he’d be messing with it constantly. He hates the shin guards that go around his ankle so those were out too, but I thought this would be a good solution to both issues and I was right! My son LOVES these, loves there’s no Velcro bothering him and said they all around fit better and feel more comfortable, I didn’t see him mess with his shin guards once during practice! The only part that was annoying was where the tags were located on the shin guards themselves.
I used a seam ripper to get them off but the angle they were placed at the the shape of the guard made it very difficult to get those off, wish they were out in an easier location to get off, but definitely not a deal breaker!.
This model is lighter and more comfortable than the previous models. It is also longer and offers more protection but somehow it just feels cheap because the materials are merely glued together with some cheap bonding agent.
One of the shin guards actually fell apart after several uses but I used some Duco Cement and put it back together and did the same for the other side and it has held up since.
