Currently Ive been using a high end philips rotary shaver and Ive used it with everything from various brush creams and soaps, shave butters and Gillette no foam gel and get pretty much same performance from all.

Read about this and saw good reviews so grabbed a bottle. I cant say how well it might work with a DE razor as Ive not tried that yet, but it is terrible with my electric. Zero slickness. Seriously, zero.

Wouldve been better off shaving dry. Kinda odd. Anyways, I dont want knock it for blade use, but if you like to wet shave with an electric look elsewhere.

Did not lubricate as well as expected. By the end of the shave, the razor blades were literally scraping along. The shave itself seemed pretty close, but it was not a comfortable experience.

I have been using this product for decades – yes, decades. I was introduced to the product in a funny way – and before anyone passes judgement – it’s the product they use in Atlanta prison system (used to be a guard – don’t recommend the job).

I’ve tried using several different eye creams in the morning before applying my makeup and it would always interfere by causing splotches and such.

I am huge fan of Clinique Men and have been routinely using a couple of their products for years. I was looking forward to trying an aloe shaving gel since I have sensitive skin and am prone to bad razor burn.

While the gel is definitely soothing and easy to lather on, it felt like any other shaving cream that you can buy for a fraction of the price. Also, a little goes an extremely long way with this product, so it’s frustrating how much gel the bottle dispenses from just one pump.

After using Gillette Foamy Sensitive Skin Shave Cream for many years, I was shocked to discover this year that the fragrance, once a very mild, pleasing fragrance has been changed to an overpowering, nauseating cologne-like smell.

What are they thinking? If for no other reason, consideration should be given to the fact that most people purchasing a product marketed as “sensitive” are almost always also looking for little or no fragrance.

Return to the original fragrance or remove this product from your line. It is in no way meeting the needs of most shoppers wanting a “sensitive” product.

I have used Edge gel b4, just not this type. It provides a slickness and protective coating. I used the hydro 5 razor and I had no nics or cuts, or irratation. I have used serveral shave creams and soaps along with very expensive brushes and I got a great shave with canned Edge gel.

I know this is a sinful thing to the wet shave snobs, but hey it works, my face doesn’t feel dried out, no cuts or irratation, isn’t that what we want in a Shave? I think this is the best on the market.

I just used for the first time yesterday and wow! I’m actually shocked how formulation has improved. Firstly, I was quite surprised when I applied this to my first damp leg, because the product was very thick like a jelly yet was incredibly spreadable all the way up my leg from ankle to thigh.

I used way more than necessary! For the second leg I got away with using no joke a 1/3 of the amount and still spread well. The incredible smoothness while applying the product and massaging some without it disappearing was great, and it really did make for a close shave without the thickness of the product gunking up my razor.

I thought for sure I’d have to rinse my razor a million times and only had to rinse once after each leg. Also rinsing my legs was easy after I didn’t have to work to get off any residue. They felt nice and hydrated like a gel cream moisturizer had been applied.

I received Completely Bare Completey smooth- No Bump Shave Gel complimentary from Influenster a few weeks ago in exchange for my honest reviews. I have used the depilatory foam from Completely Bare with no problems and I don’t have sensitive skin nor am I prone to razor burn but after trying this gel, I had both issues.

In order to have the most unbiased review I used a brand new razor system with the only variable being Completely Bare gel on my left leg and my usual shaving gel on the right leg. I didn’t think about it afterwards but not long after drying off etc my left leg (below the knee) was bright red, slightly warm to touch and itched pretty badly.

The next day there were painful bumps and what were either tiny cuts but could’ve been from scratching(?) I wanted to try again as I shave my legs nearly every day; especially during the summer, but after four days I still couldn’t shave that part of my leg.

On the fifth day I shaved both legs with one of my usual gels and the same exact razor from the trial but experienced no issues on either leg. I decided not to repeat the test. I honestly hate leaving a less than average review (3 stars) but felt it important to note as this is not a normal reaction for me.

This stuff is the bomb. I’ve used it twice now and each time I have had the smoothest legs ever. It is a thin, slippery gel that your razor glides right through. I love that there’s aloe and jojoba oil in this because those are two ingredients that have always worked really well for my skin personally.

The microbeads seem gimmicky to me because they’re too sparse and fragile to exfoliate. I cannot really imagine what the purpose of those be would be otherwise. Setting that aside, this is a nice moisturizing shave gel that won’t clog your razor and seems great for sensitive skin like mine.

as a guy with really sensitive skin i have gotten virtually no razor bumps or acne using this product. i shave using a safety razor too by merkur and wash my face w/ vanicream gentle face wash after and i swear by it.

This is a fantastic product, it gives me one of the best shaves I have ever had. It is gentle and does not bother my skin. It think it has the perfect thickness and consistency for shaving. I find that it is better than the EOS that I usually use and it is better than traditional shaving creams.

I have been using this product for 2 years. The first year, the nozzle could clog and getting the right amount dispensed was sometimes tricky. won’t come out, then when you really push, you get too much.

This morning was testing time for the Suavecito Shaving gel and Suavecito Premium Dark Clove after shave. The shaving gel is a thick and viscous substance. It sticks very well to the skin and covers equally well.

This is going to start a little negative. that said. I purchased this awhile back and at first, was not happy. I was actually going to stop using this product, but decided to give it another try and to experiment a little bit.

Firstly, the gel comes out very thick from the bottle and when applied to the face, it evens out a little. I’m guessing that is to create a good barrier between skin and blade. Understandable. The problem was that even when it foamed a little, it still was a little thick, which would not provide a good shave.

so, what i stated to do is wet my face and put a little bit of the shave gel on my wet palms, rub them together until it foamed a little and then apply to my face with my finger tips. Voila, a better shave.

The other thing that I noticed, is that this gel dries quickly after applying, You may need to apply a little more water to your skin if you feel the blade dragging. Not too much water, though as you will remove the gel.

I think this is a good product that may need to be refined a little.

I have used the shave cream and it is excellent, so I thought I would try this as I typically use gels. I use a Dollar Shave Club razor just to be clear and occasionally an old 1960’s Gillette safety razor (when I am feeling dangerous).

This gel simply does nothing. I don’t mind that it barely foams, as stated on the bottle, but it is like smearing slime on your face that simply blocks up a razor and leaves a patchy shave so by about 3pm you look like an old dog with eczema.

I have been using bump off shaving gel for more than 8+ years. I swore by the stuff because I have sensitive skin and so does most of my ethnic clients. Recently I have bought 3 rounds (all in 2023) of gel and something has be SERIOUSLY wrong with the product.

It has been molded with some type of foul smelling order and brown stuff, the next 2 purchases was extremely watery. I saved all 3 and cannot get a response from the email listed on the bottles. Can someone please help.

I usually don’t purchase non-foaming shave gels (or creams for that matter), but thought I’d give this a try. I heard about the Cantu brand on several shave websites; one had their gel rated as a top 10.

After using it several times I find that their gel gives me a smooth close shave. The downside is that I have to use an unusual amount to coat my face. And, like all non-foaming gels, it tends to clog your razor a bit more.

But extra time rinsing seems to take care of that dilemma. Will I buy it again? Maybe…if there was a price break via special sale or coupons. We’ll see.

It works, its great stuff and far superior to cheaper products off the self. I find a container doesn’t last very long, month and a half with a couple shaves a week. Which makes me feel like its expensive for the size of bottle you get.

It’s not that big soapy foamy lather you may be used to. You know all that stuff that somehow manages to coat more chest hair than facial. No this is more like an oily lotion that sticks to your face and actually lifts those pesky facial hairs that are always perky and prickly until you apply lather to shave, often conforming to the contour of your face and avoiding razors.

The heat is really more of a burning sensation but not unpleasant at all. What I noticed after running the razor blade over my skin is how soft and moist my skin feels and it actually tingles. This is a great product! It combines a shave oil with a lube and heats up nicely. Want a REALLY warm shave? Clean your face with the Coal Miner face “wash” first. Not sure what’s going on, but either the lanolin activates the heat or the lack of oil does, but the heat sensation is NOTICABLY more intense.

On the bottle it says it has cocoa butter, and I will say it provides for a relatively nick free experience. Unfortunately I prefer more of a traditional shaving cream. Younger folks might like this, but I believe cream allows for a smoother shave.
