The very humid and high dew point climate I live in is exceptionally challenging for post menopausal, colored and highlighted grey, 3b-3c (tight) curls. I have tried a multitude of salon and drugstore products.

I remember in college using a gel that left a cast on my curls but once dry and scrunched withstood the elements of the climate I live in. That product no longer exists and my hair has changed with age.

Curlsmith Shine shampoo and conditional add condition and slickness to naturally dry, post menopausal, colored, highlighted hair and the gel has finally provided the heavy cast allowing my hair to dry without absorbing outside moisture.

Once dry, I scrunch, fluff and go. It is a huge game changer for me with my thick, 3b-3c curls, post menopausal greying hair.

Wonderful that this product is fragrance free. I have not been able to use other Curlsmith products due to fragrance sensitivity. Bought the whole Shine line. After 3 months, I have no curls anymore.

My hair feels over moisturized and damaged. I looked at the repair line, but the fragrance is overwhelming and I cannot use it. Please add more fragrance free products with better protein moisture balance.

I am now scouring the market for alternatives.

Let me start by saying I am a big loyal customer of Mielle. But since I opened the bottle I disliked the smell 😩. It reminded me of ocean scented aromatics, febrezze, soaps, etc. I use the babassu shampoo , I got this for my husband , well I tried it today and I was please with the results it cleaned my hair wonderfully and the smell toned down in the shower, I did picked up some sweet aromas.

If you don’t have allergies to perfumes or scents or strong scents don’t bother you, than this line is a 5 star but for a nose like mine is a 4. The deep conditioner and leave in gave me so much volume , clean feel, defined light curls, but the smell of the leave in has already given me a headache.

Maybe tone it down with the fragrance ? I am going to stick to my babassu line ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Much love to Mielle for always shining with the products.

First and foremost, know that I’m heavy on scents — I love smell goods, and just by going off of this alone, the scent throw-off is phenomenal!! Passionfruit watermelon marrying, this would be their lovechild! Because I love anything watermelon, that’s what made me even pick up the bottle in the first place! I took a whiff of this, and was SOLD — despite me not knowing whether it’d even work for my type of hair, AND despite my being in CVS, where items are certainly more expensive than in Walmart, I STILL decided I would buy it solely off the fabulously, fruity, fragrance factor alone.

🍉So, I am indeed a self-proclaimed product junkie ((see my pic attached with the brown background; and THAT is not even ALL of my products—it’s just all that would fit on the sink!)) and I am always doing blind-buys.

It wasn’t even a wash day and I decided to try it out! Because I have low porosity hair that is always thirst-deprived, I mostly co-wash my hair, which is washing my hair with conditioner because shampooing strips my hair of the moisture it so desperately needs.

The bottle states that it provides hydration, which was a bonus and definitely sealed the deal on my decision to go through all if the trouble of washing my hair (if you’re a natural hair girly, you know that this is A LONG PROCESS and not built for weaklings or the faint at heart, solely due to how strenuous it is and how long it takes to detangle, pre-poo, wash, condition, deep-condition, style, dry, and/or prep it for bed — my, even putting it up in a pineapple is even a work-out for your arms!!)! Even knowing this is a J-O-B in of itself, I still could not wait to try it out because there’s nothing more that I love than good-smelling things, and my hair being one of them is ALWAYS what I’d like! And so, not long after I’d jumped in the shower to wash all of the possible COVID cooties off of me (yes, I am OCD!), I cracked open the bottle to conditioner and was immediately whisked away to what seemed like a lovely, tropical island where all things are fresh, sweet, and carefree! It literally is the lovechild of passionfruit and watermelon — yumminess in a bottle!! As soon as I saturated my hair with water and started to wash it, my hair literally felt like a newborn’s and was silky soft and lightweight, as well as smelling amazeballs!! I—LOVE—THIS—CONDISH! Any tangles that I had melted away, so I had to do minimum work detangling!! My final product felt like although it was not weighted down with greasiness, it felt properly and totally nourished and healthy feeling, it looked more glossy and shiny, while smelling like a Bahamian or Hawaiian island!! These results were mind-blowing, especially since my hair is low porosity, which means it usually suffers from lack of moisture and shine!! In summation, this conditioner is INDEED a staple of mine, no matter how much of a product junkie I am and how many products I still have on hand — Maui Moisture Lightweight Hydration Hibiscus Water Conditioner will DEFINITELY be amongst them all!!.

I think this is a really good light weight multi-use product. I use this leave-in conditioner with different styling gels that leave my hair dry with it. To avoid flaking, be sure to test them together on the back of your hand before applying them to your hair.

Also READ THE INGREDIENT LABEL CAREFULLY. The ingredient list on SallyBeauty. com lists mineral oil as an ingredient, but the list on the product’s website doesn’t show it and neither does my bottle.

Perhaps it was reformulated and Sally Beauty hasn’t updated their website, but I would double check the label before using.

I AM IMPRESSED! First. Understand that my hair is fine, wavy and fragile and hates EVERYTHING. Silicone, oils, butters. hate, hate, hate. Trying to be more natural is difficult at best. I have tried SO MANY products.

They either make my hair dry or greasy. I probably have aweful water too. so the challenge of finding a product that works is increased. This doesn’t have all that stuff that my hair hates. So far I’ve had no negative reaction to the wheat protein either (I’ll update in a few weeks).

Just soft and silky. 💓.

The only complaint about this product I have is not about the actual product itself. There needs to be a seal between the cap of the product And the neck of the product where the opening is. During transport two of the products that I ordered opened and half the product was wasted into the box.

I purchased the entire Pomegranate & Honey line for myself and my daughter. It was great product, with a wonderful smell. So I thought until when things started opening back up and we started going back to the salon.

Our stylist asked what shampoo did we use I told her Mielle Pomegranate & Honey, that we used the whole collection. She said oh wow, then I don’t get why it is stripping both of your hair because it should not.

She had to direct us to another product line for our washing needs. We both have natural hair and only washed every 2 weeks so I don’t know why it stripped our hair. But I still encourage other to try this line.

I purchased a bunch of items during last year’s anniversary sale. I gave most of it away because we couldn’t use it.

Best products for me and my daughter hair as well. she usually hates getting her hair washed but with these products it makes detailing so much more easy. I’m telling you I would love for you to purchase it as well so you can experience the most relaxing time of your day.

I absolutely love this product. I actually started using this after applying it on my granddaughter one evening after her bath. She has very sensitive skin so I was skeptical at first. However she had no adverse reactions to this and I loved how easily it was to apply and absorbed in to her skin without feeling greasy and the fresh scent is awesome not heavy just clean.

So I decided to give it a try myself, it is so rich and creamy glides on my skin which is dry especially in the winter months. My skin felt great and fully moisturized and hydrated. I am not accustomed to that.

I leave my skin a little damp and apply it immediately after getting out of the shower. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone with dry skin. It smells so fresh and clean and I have not had any issues with breaking out or rashes or any burning etc.

I do not like this new formulation. I LOVED this previous formulation and would recommend this product to everyone. It is apparent that there is little shea butter in the new formulation. The coconut oil in the new formulation is not making this a good product.

I will no longer use Curl & Style Milk. I have informed everyone that I recommended this product to about the formulation change. Please stop changing product formulations that we like. If you want to try a new formulation, please continue to offer the previous formulation that we liked so much.

The only thing that I can think of why you changed the formulation is that coconut oil is cheaper for you than shea butter. It’s always about money for these large conglomerates, not about the customer experience.

Okay so I’m a wavy girl, but most importantly my hair is BRITTLE, fine, porous, & dry all the time. It breaks like nobody’s business. I literally thought that was just going to be my life forever until I tried this shampoo.

I’ve tried other moisturizing shampoos & they either do basically nothing or completely weigh it down. This legitimately felt like it changed my hair. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS FORMULA! Like my hair & scalp literally feels SO HAPPY after I wash it, and it stays clean for around 3 days – amazing.

Best thing ever. I tried other brands with similar ‘oil in the formula’ approaches when they stopped carrying this in my local store, but no dice. Nowhere even CLOSE!.

This shampoo along with the conditioner is my favorite Mielle products! It cleans my hair from all the dirt and OMG the smell 🥰 is the best! When I use it everyone comments on how good my hair smells! I have noticed that since using this shampoo, my hair has stopped shedding, and that alone makes this shampoo worth every single penny! You only need a small amount with each use, it lathers well and it makes your scalp feel so good! My boyfriend loves the smell too! I statutes using it on his hair too! This is one of the best deep conditioners I’ve ever used. As soon as I put it on my hair drank it up and it just transformed it! I’ve never had a deep conditioner that’s left my hair as soft and hydrated as much as this one has! I usually use Moroccan oil deep conditioner that I thought was good but this has topped it by miles! This is now staple in my hair care regime.

Love how it gives your scalp a mint tingle feeling and makes it feel so refreshed and clean.

I’ve been using the Mixed Chicks shampoo for a couple weeks now and I’m really satisfied with it. My hair feels stronger, thicker, and has more volume. It’s not overly drying but still gets my hair clean (which is great because I oil up easily).

The scent is pleasant but not anything overwhelming, so scent-haters will be okay. The only slightly off thing is the texture. Not bad at all, just stickier than other shampoos I’ve used, which was a bit unexpected.

Overall, I have no complaints and plan to keep this in my regular hair routine.

I have very fine wavy / curly hair, this shampoo kills my waves and curls, it is terrible. Usually, Mielle products work great for me but not this one. There are different ingredient decks for this product online, depending on the retailer.

Had I known that this contains C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate I would have never bought it. Why are the ingredient lists not consistent with all retailers. Did they change the formulation? Here in the UK you can’t get e refund just because you didn’t like a product, so this is very frustrating.

I’ll use it for my dogs then.

I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about this shampoo and I just want to throw in my experience. I have incredibly fine and oily 2C/3A curls. Most curly hair products out there are made for much thicker, drier hair, and always leave my hair flat, greasy, and stringy.

This shampoo was recommended to me by my hairstylist of almost 10 years who also has finer curly hair like me. after years trying every clean curly product i can find, Wella really nailed it with their nutricurls line.

I LOVE it and have even tried other products after with no such luck. I always go back to my nutricurls 🙂 so if you have fine wavy/light curls, give this a shot!.

I used to absolutely love this shampoo paired with the same line’s conditioner. It made my waves so beautiful, and way more manageable than they’d been with other shampoos and conditioners. The reason I’m only giving four stars though is that, although it’s sulfate free, my color faded.

After switching to a color-safe-specific shampoo and conditioner, my color hasn’t faded. If I ever go back to my natural color, I’ll absolutely start using Nutricurls again.
